00:03:26.800 of this podcast with everybody you know this needs to be the biggest podcast

00:03:30.100 10 000 views a month is what we're aiming for this episode let's get it

00:03:36.400 welcome to the bankers show everybody i am currently in the great state of florida uh we're here in tampa

00:03:45.280 florida as you can see the decor this is very this is probably this chair is probably from 1970

00:03:50.840 but uh it's kind of perfect for a podcast chair if you don't uh mind me saying so and tampa i'm in

00:04:00.420 the historic ybor district that's what it's called and they have the the there's chickens everywhere

00:04:08.220 that's what the chickens on the street little mini little baby chickens i see are about to get hit by 0.96

00:04:15.640 cars on the on the fucking main road here it's uh a bit chaotic uh watching people almost hitting 0.97

00:04:24.220 chickens all the time with their cars but that is what florida is all about just chickens in the street 0.98

00:04:31.560 people running around like chickens with their heads got cut that got cut off you know the whole

00:04:36.040 deal with people from florida florida man you know shoots his mom in the head after didn't do the dishes

00:04:43.360 all that kind of stuff so that's what florida is all about and i'm here to celebrate that i'm here

00:04:48.980 to glorify that i'm here to embrace that i'm here to learn about the culture and of course this tour has

00:04:56.320 been quite uh amazing to be honest with you it has opened my eyes to everything um to who i am to the

00:05:06.980 world to uh to america and thank you to my american fans for showing me so much love on this tour and

00:05:17.280 this is the first podcast after the tour started so uh to anybody who's like where's the podcast why

00:05:22.680 is it's late i've been why is it late i've been on tour a lot of crazy stuff going on and uh big

00:05:28.960 things happening so uh we're here now right so first up was boston the boston show was amazing um

00:05:38.400 was basically sold out over 230 people i believe uh laugh boston and just a great crowd people who had

00:05:49.320 been waiting to see me it seemed like for years so it was super cool to get to hang out with them and

00:05:58.100 and you know i mean not really hang out but you know hang out after the show got to meet and greet

00:06:05.980 and they just loved it they have a mayor their mayor in boston is also chinese so that kind of helps

00:06:13.700 the michelle woo effect i did a lot of michelle woo and that was just boston's such a great city it's a

00:06:23.540 beautiful city and my tour was just such a amazing intro to america i would have to say and i'd have

00:06:32.880 to say thank you to my agent jj at 33 and west jj uh cassieri who congratulations jj um he just had

00:06:44.520 his first child but just amazing to go boston first then from boston go back go over to detroit so see

00:06:55.380 like a bustling hot spot city that's that's on the way up boston so much being you know construction 0.77

00:07:03.160 happening there and shit like that then you go to detroit in a city that crumbled and then went 0.68

00:07:10.500 bankrupt and then is rebuilding you know the detroit downtown is like that people go oh it's 0.98

00:07:17.740 it's kind of safe it's kind of safe it's like or it's safe downtown as long as you don't go a mile

00:07:23.620 that way or a mile that way but it was just cool to see it's cool to see all the old buildings that

00:07:30.140 they really have kept them in pretty good shape the place that i stayed at the hotel i stayed at was

00:07:37.720 like an old building that they revamped into this really cool hotel it's called the westin book

00:07:44.860 something in downtown detroit and the show was at um house of comedy which is in the brand new area

00:07:54.640 it's like an area of detroit where everything's brand new that's where they have the stadium and

00:07:59.580 they have the other stadium and the music venues and it's like really brand new there's nobody out

00:08:05.560 because it wasn't a weekend but very cool to see that to see the juxtaposition of cities and then go

00:08:13.800 from there red bank new jersey which red bank new jersey is like beautiful it's it's golf courses it's

00:08:23.760 it's kind of like a is it is it a rich suburb of new york city

00:08:29.200 kind of i think because it's about an hour and 20 minutes or something from new york city

00:08:38.900 from manhattan and uh 45 minutes or so from the airport newark airport and just beautiful the golf

00:08:47.000 courses all the shopping malls i was driving through on the way to the event with my indian uber driver

00:08:52.500 who did smell like curry but let's not get into that but really beautiful everybody's italian and 0.82

00:09:00.940 good looking and confident and it's exactly kind of what you think is gonna fucking be and you know 0.71

00:09:08.060 i had dinner after the show the venue by the way vogel at count basie amazing people amazing venue

00:09:16.420 and they paid for my dinner and it was just like phenomenal dinner right next door at this place i

00:09:23.360 forget it was buenos aires or something like that and people next to me just like an italian family like

00:09:32.320 a rich american italian family i was just listening to them talk and the one guy was i don't know if he

00:09:37.040 was a mobster or he was pretending to be a mobster but he just he was making his kids laugh by talking 0.99

00:09:42.500 hey i'll get him killed in the morning i'll fucking get him whacked and i was like this is i'm having 0.99

00:09:47.600 the most authentic new jersey experience i'm i'm at a italian restaurant next to an italian mobster 1.00

00:09:55.180 family that's talking about whacking people nothing is more authentic than that in new jersey

00:10:01.180 and you know the show was great was like 200 people uh you know could have sold a few more tickets

00:10:08.720 next time we come back bigger and better as my uh presence becomes more known about in the u.s 0.98

00:10:16.880 people talk people come to these shows i fucking slaughter and then they go okay i gotta tell my 0.96

00:10:22.760 friends so pretty fucking amazing um and after that went to portland portland maine kind of a boring 0.97

00:10:33.860 place kind of cool it's like a mini boston and it's it's kind of like america's version of

00:10:42.120 for the canadian fans st john's newfoundland or something except they don't really have

00:10:47.840 that accent they kind of have the boston accent a little bit but they don't have the newfoundland

00:10:53.420 but yeah they have a bit of that similar maritime architecture but it's america so they don't 0.86

00:11:02.120 really think about it the way canadians oh you're in the maritimes now they don't really fucking have 0.94

00:11:07.720 that bullshit it's more like yeah portland maine maine america you ever been there you ever been 0.98

00:11:13.500 to a walmart like it's kind of more in your face which i like and um from there went to new york city 0.99

00:11:22.320 man new york fucking city and i got teased because when i came from boston to go to detroit went through 0.96

00:11:33.360 newark so that was one then came back to portland through newark and then flew um from portland back 0.99

00:11:43.880 to newark i think it was two or three times that i got to go to the airport and see each time i was on

00:11:49.420 the right i was on the the side of the plane that was looking at manhattan except for the last time

00:11:54.720 the first two times and i just i was like i can't believe i'm going there i can't believe i'm going

00:11:59.740 to go perform there i can't believe i have a sold out show there and that was a really cool moment 0.97

00:12:04.760 where i realized that i do have a fucking sold out show there i am going to go fucking perform there 0.97

00:12:10.620 and driving into the city it was like 7 30 in the morning or something when i got in because i took a 0.98

00:12:20.180 really early flight because it was cheap from portland because i'm an immigrant and i'm trying 0.97

00:12:25.860 to save money guys now i know how the fucking indians feel not really because i don't smell that 0.99

00:12:30.000 bad actually i i smell a little bad i do think that living in canada and just eating because anytime you 0.99

00:12:36.940 eat out that food is made by who's it made by might be made by an indian just saying you have 0.96

00:12:43.860 burger king mcdonald's every subway any other restaurant any nice restaurant you're going who

00:12:50.940 is in the kitchen who do you think's in the kitchen i'm just saying i'm starting to smell like curry 0.98

00:12:54.940 from all this fucking curry from all the curry touching my food i'm just i'm just saying 0.98

00:12:59.980 is that racist is that you're allowed to are you allowed to make observations oh that's right 0.99

00:13:05.280 i'm starting to stink like a fucking indian because i'm canadian it's disgusting no but um 1.00

00:13:16.320 7 a.m 7 30 a.m coming into new york with no traffic was just beautiful on the mother's day just 0.99

00:13:24.760 looking at all the buildings and thinking you know because whenever you go somewhere new you

00:13:31.360 always look at the buildings and the apartments and the houses and you go what would it be like

00:13:35.600 to live there what would it be like to live my whole life in that building what would it be like

00:13:38.540 to live a year over there what would it be like to live 50 years you know or you see an old man

00:13:43.320 walking down the street in new york city you go this guy's lived here wonder what his apartment's

00:13:46.860 like he's lived here for so long um and i stayed in the east village in a in kind of a

00:13:54.740 kind of a nothing hotel it's called the ridge is really small you know basically like this much

00:14:04.800 room like a half a foot of room or or maybe a foot of room around the bed with a tv and a washroom

00:14:12.580 and that's it and it was a good deal again cheap immigrant and walking distance to the comedy club 0.70

00:14:21.840 it's like a six seven minute walk and you're just immersed the second that's what i love

00:14:28.060 about manhattan you just as soon as you walk out the door you're immersed in manhattan you're part of

00:14:33.660 it and your energy is part of it that's what's beautiful about life that i think canadians have had

00:14:41.960 a lot of that taken away from them a lot of the godliness of of being human you know that

00:14:49.400 because i see humanity as kind of god experiencing itself um or the universe experiencing itself

00:14:58.320 and when you're in new york you're part of new york you know if you're part if you're doing a show

00:15:05.220 in new york you're part of new york you're on the list of events and i went downtown i went to i mean

00:15:14.160 midtown and went to the museum of modern art and just took in some art and i was just kind of in

00:15:23.180 my feels going through a lot of emotional change a lot of mental change growth

00:15:32.240 moving to america touring america for the first time you know the ups and downs of it the ups and

00:15:40.020 downs of comedy that i've been experiencing for the past 13 years of doing comedy but the ups and

00:15:45.380 downs of okay this show's sold out the next one not so much this sort of you know first tour stuff

00:15:51.260 and i was like i need to go see some art and i that was i'll be honest with you guys that so my

00:16:03.080 mother is a dementia patient she has dementia it's quite severe and i mean she still remembers me to

00:16:12.460 an extent she still can look at me and know who i am and it's it's it's she's i i believe that her

00:16:19.820 spirit is like half here her soul is like half here and half with god already and it felt like she gave

00:16:27.680 me a mother's day gift the mother's day gift was you're in new york city because my mom loved new

00:16:35.000 york loved new york and and and she took me there when i was a little kid a bunch with my dad because

00:16:40.960 my dad had some some work dealings he's my dad's a violinist a musician he had a his friend one of his

00:16:47.620 best friends at the time lived in manhattan and we stayed with him and we stayed with them for i believe

00:16:54.820 it was like christmas and new year's or something like that and just had a really cool experience

00:17:00.960 they took me to museum of modern art they took me to a bunch of other museums and i just remember being

00:17:07.040 in the cab and be you know my parents looking at me and going this is what new york is you know you

00:17:11.840 don't have no seat belt first time and no seat belt as a kid being held by my mom getting thrown around

00:17:17.540 my mom you know and and i i remember it it's it's basically my first memory i was like five or four

00:17:26.800 or five years old when they took me to new york city it was one of my core memories and the yellow cab

00:17:34.200 right and i my grandmother who lived with us in toronto she would let me watch late night tv because 0.99

00:17:46.140 she didn't give a shit and she didn't know what the fucking difference was if what what the fuck was 0.99

00:17:51.120 on tv she was just wanted me to watch tv go to bed whatever she wanted to watch tv so we watched 0.99

00:17:57.700 letterman every night almost every single night from the age of maybe whatever two or three when i i would

00:18:06.480 start i i slept in bed with my grandmother that's just how it was right and because my parents you know

00:18:14.200 eventually you know i want to sleep with them they go go how about go with grandma okay fine

00:18:18.000 you know it was really hard to get me to go into my own bed and like it's like with my current with

00:18:25.260 my current daughter yeah um no with my daughter who also wants to sleep with her parents and uh but so 1.00

00:18:31.820 she would go sleep with the grandparents i would i would sorry i would go sleep with my grandma 0.79

00:18:36.600 upstairs and and on the old she had an old wooden tv this is like in the night 1995 96 and this tv was

00:18:47.480 probably from the 80s or the 70s that she just kept you know bring brought it everywhere from her old 0.86

00:18:53.720 house you know probably god knows how much money it was to to ship that thing in you know zenith i believe

00:19:01.420 it was an old zenith tv and it's a big old wooden box and we'd watch david letterman on it every night

00:19:11.300 and when my parents took me to new york city we were walking down the street and i pointed and i said

00:19:19.940 that's where they film the david letterman show i pointed at ed sullivan theater as a four or five

00:19:26.800 year old and went that's where they film the david letterman show and my parents just looked at me

00:19:32.280 like wow this is crazy how is he so fucking smart i mean my my kid's super smart too and says really 0.72

00:19:37.040 smart things and a lot of kids are smart some kids aren't you know you met you ever meet an indian kid 1.00

00:19:42.200 i'm just kidding they're super smart everybody oh indians are so smart they do all the yeah okay yeah if

00:19:47.720 they're in america but not in india that are sorry for that um how do i drive uber that is where all

00:19:59.180 the ubers are um so i pointed at ed sullivan theater and i knew it and so that that was a core memory of

00:20:06.840 mine and to perform in new york for a sold-out crowd even though it was a small show it was 155

00:20:14.040 people in a packed and tight little room new york comedy club east village that felt like my mom

00:20:21.680 gave me that gift that she said you're going to perform in new york city on mother's day and that's

00:20:29.280 her pushing and pulling the universe in the ways that she can because we all can we all have so much

00:20:39.880 power in this universe and it's not just you know it's social media it's this it's that but

00:20:44.040 you know how you know oh go grind you can grind and then you'll make no but it's also just in your head 0.99

00:20:49.340 the universe is all inside your head close your fucking eyes and think for a minute and you'll 0.97

00:20:55.780 realize that the whole universe is in there and everything's possible so i think somewhere in my mom's 0.99

00:21:01.700 mind deep in there she's manipulating and helping and pushing and teaching and teaching me and

00:21:07.560 i'm thankful i'm thankful so i got to do that and i went to the museum of modern art also something

00:21:14.600 my mother would have loved to do and um sat on the at the top floor of the museum of modern art

00:21:23.940 in midtown manhattan and and had a had a cough coffee had a coffee in a in a salad and i sat there

00:21:33.620 and i dreamed and i thought and i thought i can do this i can make it i can be who i need to be

00:21:40.360 and you know i thought about all the other podcasts i do uh the last couple weeks where i'm ranting and

00:21:47.180 raving about palestinians and jews and you know being in manhattan by the way you very little 0.63

00:21:55.880 manhattan very little palestinian pro-palestine i saw more fuck hamas flags than i saw palestinian 0.58

00:22:05.780 flags so this this pro-palestine push is almost bigger in canada than pretty much anywhere in the 0.98

00:22:14.720 united states especially toronto toronto is like a mini fucking gaza i swear to god it is just like 0.99

00:22:22.260 everybody is just fucking nuts over this shit and how could you know people in my comments saying 0.99

00:22:28.180 just vile shit and they're fans of mine you know for the wrong reasons let's be honest there i have 1.00

00:22:35.060 fans that are racist beyond fucking belief that i don't associate or feel that i you know because i i 0.99

00:22:41.900 do jokes that some people find it fucking hilarious even if they're asian i i have tons of asian fans i 0.99

00:22:48.260 tons of black fans i have tons of every race of fan can laugh at my comedy but some of my fans 0.94

00:22:53.820 are like extreme races and those people are like you know they're like oh israel shouldn't exist 1.00

00:22:59.140 blah blah blah look guys the jews have one country okay and if you want to say oh america funds it blah 0.58

00:23:07.900 blah blah well because nobody else will because nobody else will everybody else just wants it to

00:23:17.480 would be totally cool if it got invaded tomorrow by every arab country and they would do nothing 1.00

00:23:23.040 all the european countries pretty much would do nothing the middle eastern countries would do

00:23:28.060 nothing the asian countries would do nothing they'd let them get invaded they wouldn't give them any 1.00

00:23:32.100 money they wouldn't do shit so america is the only place that supports israel as a state and that pisses a 0.99

00:23:41.400 lot of people off and you and the more pissed off people get the more you understand why they fucking have 0.99

00:23:45.240 the goddamn country but but sitting on that patio and thinking about it and thinking about 0.99

00:23:50.260 my direction of the direction that i want my podcast to go in the direction i want my comedy 0.99

00:23:55.640 career to go in these are important things and i'm an artist at the end of the day you know people don't

00:24:01.200 think about that because that's just the way it is now everybody's on social media everybody you know 0.97

00:24:06.720 fucking accountants and lawyers and real estate agents are making fucking reels and trying to be funny 1.00

00:24:11.440 so who the fuck do you think you are you think you're a fucking artist no you're just part of 1.00

00:24:15.600 the there's another cog in the in the content mill you're just another piece of the bigger system but 1.00

00:24:23.960 no i'm an artist man and and i and i put a lot of thought into a lot of things and you know i i look 0.88

00:24:32.080 i do an asian accent and it goes it gets a lot more views and if i just fucking if it's just me talking 0.90

00:24:37.420 like this something not all the time but the most views i have are from me talking um and then maybe

00:24:44.100 second or third most would be chinese accent but my point is simple that social media is hard

00:24:54.260 social media is a lot harder than doing stand-up comedy there are a ton of really funny stand-up

00:25:03.240 comedians out there that have no following on social media there's funny stand-up comedians

00:25:09.500 that i talk to and they go oh yeah oh social media can't be bothered too complicated don't know how to 0.99

00:25:15.500 do it not good at it don't like it then you're never gonna make it in fucking comedy because this 0.98

00:25:21.260 whole job is social media sorry but that's what it is right now and social media is an ever-changing 0.98

00:25:29.060 thing where stand-up comedy almost remains the same you know if rodney dangerfield took the stage

00:25:36.380 today fucking kill just like he did then um or or richard pryor or or george carlin the concept of 0.96

00:25:47.500 going on a stage and making a audience laugh live is something that has been going on for centuries 0.99

00:25:53.400 for since greek times they used to have a guy that would go up there it wasn't stand-up comedy per se

00:25:58.440 but you know greek and roman times they'd have a guy go on the stage and do a little hey whoa whoa

00:26:03.580 but social media is changing all the time because they change the rules of the game they change the

00:26:10.320 parameters of the game you can't really change the parameters of a live performance because

00:26:14.840 it is just the universe and a microphone and noise and yeah now more people get offended they'll say or

00:26:21.740 but but still the majority like it the majority like it but social media now there's all these different

00:26:26.760 things going on they're trying to make it so you have to pay to be on social media which i'm looking

00:26:31.380 at potentially could be up to a hundred dollars us a month on instagram that i have to pay which i get

00:26:39.020 because there's hundreds of thousands of people watching my stuff but then they start prioritizing 0.59

00:26:44.600 the people who pay more than and and there's all this bullshit and i hate it but i do it because i have 0.87

00:26:52.180 a dream and that dream is to be the biggest the best stand-up comedian in the world the best comedian

00:27:02.020 in the world not just stand-up i want to make sketches i want to do all this stuff and i don't

00:27:06.880 give a shit if this podcast is boring to you you don't want to listen you're not a real fan you don't 0.99

00:27:10.640 give a shit you want me to rant and rave about something you want me to go nuts you want me to lose 1.00

00:27:14.020 my fucking mind then just wait until this advertisement and i'll do that this episode of 0.99

00:27:22.460 the bank of show is brought to you by my personal patreon patreon.com slash ben bankus the best way 0.98

00:27:29.100 to support my career it's super easy takes less than two minutes to sign up it's four dollars american

00:27:34.940 a month at the base level you can pay up to 25 bucks if you really want to and it really helps me

00:27:41.320 out the more people the merrier everything gets the more money i have in my pocket the more

00:27:46.760 the content gets better the cameras get better the microphones um having more staff with me would be

00:27:54.940 nice because i'm all alone on this tour making it happen as an immigrant in can in america canadian

00:28:00.440 immigrant jesus christ patreon.com slash ben bankus sign up right now four bucks a month

00:28:07.900 colonialism this is the big thing now that that all these people are like colonialism all these

00:28:15.300 people oh colonialism is awful like we need to get rid of colonialism and israel is a colonialist 0.62

00:28:21.880 country and it's like so wait what country do you live in oh well i live in the united states so isn't

00:28:27.140 that a colonialist country yes and i don't believe that this place should exist either so have you made

00:28:33.240 plans on potentially moving to a country that you think would be more appropriate for you that you'd

00:28:38.920 feel more comfortable in well no because i i personally want to help destroy this country like 1.00

00:28:45.780 what the fuck kind of logic is that if you don't like the place you live fucking leave okay in nazi 0.99

00:28:53.480 germany they didn't have that fucking option okay they some people are like hey i don't know if i like 1.00

00:28:57.860 this they're like if we are going to put you in the camp we're going to kiss cuts your fucking we're 1.00

00:29:02.000 going to but here it's a it's a it's it's an open and free country if you don't like it you can 1.00

00:29:06.960 fucking move go live in argentina oh that's colonialist oh oh shit every south american country 0.99

00:29:12.840 also colonialist oh no uh let's think hmm china there's a country there's a country they've been 1.00

00:29:20.860 around for what it's five thousand years and it's it's say you know go to china you'll love it

00:29:28.700 they got uh facial recognition software everywhere track your every movement make sure you don't say

00:29:33.720 anything negative online and if you do they take away points from your social credit score and if

00:29:38.360 your social credit score gets too low then you aren't allowed to go to the store anymore you can't

00:29:42.080 get on the train or a plane but at least it's not colonialist right move there what about russia

00:29:49.900 what about russia they i mean if you post a ukrainian flag or any support for ukraine at all

00:29:55.780 you'll go to jail for the rest of your life but go they're not colonialist it's not it's they're 0.98

00:30:01.860 russian why don't you go there why don't you go to fucking where else india there's a country 1.00

00:30:07.880 used to be a colony then the colony the colonizers said fuck this we're out of here you guys are on 1.00

00:30:14.400 your own now what now it's a fucking shithole and all of those people want to move to the places 1.00

00:30:19.460 that are colonies so if you're against colonialism straight up you're a fucking idiot because you 1.00

00:30:28.460 don't understand how international politics works or international uh anything you don't understand 1.00

00:30:36.440 how geography in some ways works you don't understand the history of who went where and which

00:30:43.840 explorers came and found on all those explorers the christopher columbus was an evil man you don't 0.99

00:30:50.940 fucking know shit yeah he was evil everybody was evil anybody who would survived for longer than 30 0.99

00:30:57.800 years was probably evil because of the shit they had to do to survive back then which is a little bit 1.00

00:31:04.200 more than you fucking these loser kids who go to oh i went duke university but i'm pro palisine your 1.00

00:31:12.080 fucking tuition is a hundred thousand dollars a year you fucking idiot you walked out of a 1.00

00:31:18.280 commencement speech that they hired jerry seinfeld for probably half a million dollars to do the 1.00

00:31:25.560 commencement speech and you walk out with a palestine flag and that is somehow what what is that

00:31:31.780 contributing to it's contributing to people hating you it's contributing to people looking at you and the

00:31:38.100 palestine flag and associating that with being annoying okay and jerry seinfeld is one of the

00:31:45.260 best comedians if not the top best comedian of all time and probably the highest paid the most successful 0.98

00:31:54.800 in american history and you don't want to listen to what he has to say but you'll go all those fucking 1.00

00:32:01.620 idiots with those flags of course they'll listen to some nobody uneducated idiot on twitter or online 1.00

00:32:10.880 that is has the opinion that they like and they'll listen to that and actually you don't know what 1.00

00:32:16.580 apartheid is bitch apartheid is not when you give somebody else their own fucking area okay and i know 0.99

00:32:24.920 there's people will argue with that with me but come on the podcast and argue with me i don't give a shit 0.99

00:32:29.020 maybe i'm wrong but look west bank may be a little more apartheid than gaza let i i could agree with

00:32:36.080 that but what is the what israel wants to exist the palestinians don't want it to exist what are 0.93

00:32:45.240 they how do they come to how do you come to terms with that how do you come to terms with the people

00:32:49.380 that don't want you to exist period they want you to die they don't care how beautiful you are how 1.00

00:32:54.920 beautiful your children are they want them to die like you kill them you kill those people 1.00

00:33:00.880 it's what i think but maybe i'm wrong um 0.99

00:33:05.280 yeah i just think the people who are against colonialism they don't understand what they're 0.99

00:33:13.280 talking about they're just very stupid and you know if there was no colonialism there'd be no global 0.99

00:33:19.060 trade there'd be no globalism right there'd be no ingenious uh you know the ingenuity that comes 1.00

00:33:29.600 with colonialism with expansionism this this idea they have this small-minded idea that they think

00:33:37.500 that all people should just wherever you're born stay there just stay just say all right you're born 0.99

00:33:42.300 in africa in a little shitty little village i'll fucking stay there you know when don't colonize 1.00

00:33:47.300 something don't go to the coast and colonize like to them anything where you don't just stay in your 1.00

00:33:52.480 little house in your little basement is a fucking colonization no it's not okay and colonization 0.99

00:33:59.320 i'm sick of people shitting on colonization i like colonization i think colonization is good 1.00

00:34:05.660 for humanity it is the way we spread ideas throughout the world and you yeah oh it's brutal oh they killed a 0.99

00:34:13.120 lot of people yeah that's what the fuck happened that's what happened that is the history so how do 0.96

00:34:20.080 we change that oh we have to tear down all the statues and we have to disregard all the history and we 0.96

00:34:24.300 have to change the books that's what the pro-palestine people want they want a dystopian 0.95

00:34:28.680 shitty world run by them under sharia law where everybody has to be punished for what white people 1.00

00:34:35.540 killed it fuck that seriously fuck you if you think that fuck you and fuck all these pro anti they're 1.00

00:34:44.240 like anti israel but they're also anti woke and it's like you can't really be both of those things 1.00

00:34:50.960 like i hate to tell you that but if you're saying israel shouldn't exist you are now part of the green 0.92

00:36:09.780 last week uh i just made a five minute bonus video that is kind of like a motivational video kind of a

00:36:16.960 uh in what's what's the word uh when it's it's intimate it's an intimate video it's not me jerking

00:36:24.740 off or anything but it's intimate and it's on patreon only for patrons patreon.com slash ben bankers

00:36:32.420 go check that out i know i was talking i know i was talking about new york before but i want to talk

00:36:40.760 about it again for a second here that the coolest part again about the new york city show was my first

00:36:48.200 it was my first time in new york city and i'm doing a sold out show for 155 people at a comedy club that

00:36:57.380 like there are comedy comedians from canada right now who just picked up and left and moved to the 0.97

00:37:05.500 u.s they got a u.s they got a visa like mine but theirs is totally just bullshit it's all just lies and 0.89

00:37:11.720 you know just bold just fluff to make it look good oh yeah well they oh i got nominated for a juno 0.95

00:37:17.360 or oh i did just for laughs winnipeg is that not again yeah okay cool that's those are the things but

00:37:23.780 they have no following they don't sell any tickets nobody knows who they are and they don't know how

00:37:28.360 to do social media they don't have a podcast they're just nothing and just nobody's and these

00:37:34.080 people are like moved to new york are paying three to thousand dollars a month or whatever to live

00:37:40.600 and u.s and they can't even get spots at the club that i just headlined so to me that was another good

00:37:50.380 fuck you to a lot of the hater comedians because some of them have now now live in in america and in 0.98

00:37:57.200 new york like there was a muslim girl that forever ago i think she might have moved back to canada 1.00

00:38:02.340 her name was hoodoo hersey okay i'm not even fucking making this up hoodoo hersey and she was 1.00

00:38:09.300 a hijab and somalian and pirate and blah blah blah and so she um yar and so she was always woke and 0.93

00:38:20.200 hated me because i was jewish and this is way before i mean not before palestine thing because

00:38:24.980 it's been happening obviously for a while but hated me because i was jewish hated me because i at the time

00:38:30.500 i was doing commercial real estate so i made my own money i didn't really need comedy money but i

00:38:34.880 would do all the same shows that that they would do um and people liked me and they didn't like that

00:38:41.320 and there was another one noor hadidi but she now i think she stayed in canada permanently got a job 0.97

00:38:47.640 for cbc writing pro palestine jokes or whatever the fuck for for this hour's 22 minutes but a hoodoo 0.95

00:38:54.420 and she hoodoo got her visa wow after 9-11 what a you know i i remember her saying something like 0.98

00:39:02.160 that being like it's crazy right the fact that i have this job it's like maybe america's more 0.81

00:39:06.540 accepting than you fucking think like first of all second of all um i don't think she's done anything 0.93

00:39:14.180 to be honest but she did do you know she was on the in canada oh she's on just for laughs she's 0.98

00:39:20.480 everywhere and then they go to new york and then nobody cares and then they can't sell any tickets

00:39:24.660 and then they can't get any fame and nobody wants to see and then there's a couple guys i don't even 0.97

00:39:29.620 want to say their names i said hoodoos because i don't give a shit but uh hoodoo 0.96

00:39:34.300 jesus fucking christ um and so i a couple guys that you know just never one guy that worked for me 0.97

00:39:45.760 actually when i used to do uh selling alcohol during the pandemic and and but was never a big 0.96

00:39:53.240 like we still got in like tiffs like you ever have kind of like pseudo acquaintance-y friends that

00:39:59.660 you kind of still tiff with that you don't really get along and they're gonna have backhanded

00:40:05.220 compliment comments and backhanded compliments and and yeah i was just he's just one of those guys

00:40:14.060 you know he would always be like oh oh yeah you kind of figured out how to oh yeah you're going

00:40:17.900 real dark with the comp like it's just all these backhanded and anyway so no following he's there

00:40:24.940 another guy same thing he used to say he used to call some of my stuff that i would post on social

00:40:31.620 media distasteful oh it's tasteless he said that about my wuhan wuhan video oh it's tasteless

00:40:37.540 and okay and then i got sick one of the first videos that i had get a ton of views on youtube 60 000

00:40:44.100 views and he's there now you know and living in a shed and trying to get spots and stuff but

00:40:52.560 my point is that i believed in myself that's the difference and i didn't fucking i didn't backhanded 0.92

00:40:59.000 compliment anybody i never fucking backhanded compliment anybody any comedian ever unless they 0.98

00:41:06.860 were an asshole to me and then i wasn't a backhanded compliment it was just it would just be straight 0.98

00:41:11.400 up honesty i i don't fucking or or i just compliment them because even if i hate somebody i don't oh 0.99

00:41:17.180 you're good said i don't give a shit good said about that one part no i don't do that i don't do that 0.91

00:41:22.440 okay and um never i was always nice to these guys both those guys and even hoodoo by the way um 0.91

00:41:31.000 and like in terms of so here i'll give you an example during the pandemic when all comedy was

00:41:37.560 shut down in toronto and in new york and all over the world i was the only guy in toronto who started

00:41:44.440 doing park shows and then that actually that idea spread to other places and started it i don't i take 0.90

00:41:50.840 credit for it no big deal somebody else can take credit in their city i don't give a shit but i did it 0.92

00:41:55.420 first i did it june 5th or 4th 2020 um so like four months or three months after the the lockdown

00:42:03.160 started which was mid february or mid-march i believe and i was doing those shows in the park and i would

00:42:14.120 ask everyone i didn't give a shit about politics at that point i mean because i didn't have to because 0.74

00:42:22.220 i didn't have people hating on me so much but i brought everybody together the first comedy show 0.87

00:42:28.960 that i did in a park during the pandemic i brought the entire toronto comedy scene there the entire

00:42:36.460 toronto comedy scene from everybody there was a comic who did christian comedy there was uh you know

00:42:43.000 woke comics there was edgy comics there was like the too far edgy comics who were just like you would

00:42:50.440 just say the end words of those but they didn't all do the show but they were all there they all

00:42:55.240 came to see it they all came to support it and and there were comics like little nerdy comics

00:43:00.580 loser-y comics like this one comic from toronto ryan dylan um you know who came up to me after the

00:43:08.300 first show or the second park show was like i'd love to be a part of this so badly i'd love to

00:43:13.580 do anything to be part of your show and then a couple weeks later because i would make jokes

00:43:20.060 about the lockdown and i would make jokes about the government and i would make jokes about uh

00:43:24.600 teresa tam the at the time the canadian chinese dr fauci and wear a mask put your mask on 0.90

00:43:31.720 all that shit and these so all of a sudden the woke comics turned and they became oh you can't do 0.86

00:43:40.300 bankus's show oh yeah anybody one guy even posted i'm making a list of all the comedians who did ben 0.73

00:43:46.360 bankus's show in the park and i'm going to make sure that none of those comedians are able to do

00:43:50.740 comedy bar or this show or that show after the pandemic like this is seriously serious that this

00:43:57.660 happened and um and i never gave a shit i never i always i would still ask and then i would go how 0.95

00:44:06.060 come you can't do my show anymore and they just ghost me and you know shit like that and one girl 0.98

00:44:12.160 jennifer sung okay here i'll talk some shit jennifer sung h-s-u-i-n-g i believe or schwang 0.98

00:44:22.640 schwang okay so there's a woman named jennifer swang she is a now she is an like an anchor on cp24 0.96

00:44:33.060 in toronto but she used to be a stand-up comedian or a wannabe open miker i mean she was a stay-at-home

00:44:39.480 mom that was bored that had no job and her husband was super rich and she has like three kids but she 1.00

00:44:44.620 didn't love her husband or her kids and so she was a stand-up comic and i mean she was a whore she 1.00

00:44:50.460 literally uh she had sex with multiple comics like i don't want to say their names one of them was uh 0.99

00:44:56.800 i don't want to say his name but i'll probably get maybe i'll get sued for this that'd be fun 0.98

00:45:00.720 she had sex with multiple open mic comedians that were about 10 years younger or more than her 0.51

00:45:08.240 and but everybody was like she's cool whatever and so i put her on one of my shows in the park 0.91

00:45:14.960 she did that and then she got ridiculed by the woke people who said oh you're part of that you're 0.98

00:45:22.160 supporting racism you're supporting all this shit so then she fucking didn't want to do anymore and 0.99

00:45:27.420 then she started her own outdoor show in her backyard but because of her husband or because 1.00

00:45:33.080 of her little connections or whoever's dick she was sucking at the time she was able to 1.00

00:45:38.900 um get it on cbc and get it on ctv and get all these ads on the radio and she's selling out and 0.99

00:45:46.760 making money i wasn't even making money i was doing by donation and i was paying all the comedians and i

00:45:51.040 was after that paying all the comedians on the show which i put like 10 or something each week

00:45:55.660 i hosted it and then i put the rest of the money went to the rental of the equipment

00:46:01.220 to do the show which was a spotlight and two amps and and uh all this and mics and stuff

00:46:07.360 and and uh and a generator to keep it all going in the middle of the park 0.96

00:46:13.420 and um yeah so she went and started her own fucking show and stole the basically the idea 1.00

00:46:21.200 and um all this kind of stuff so he so and then somehow she got a job working at cp24 and then 0.98

00:46:29.040 she quit comedy and cut all ties and what and you know i'm gonna pretend and everybody was afraid to

00:46:33.840 say anything like you know that's kind of like the diddy situation or some drake or any of these 0.99

00:46:37.840 situations where no louis ck whatever people don't want to talk about but yeah she was fucking cheating 1.00

00:46:43.940 on her husband with young male comedians and i think her husband even found out but he was like 0.99

00:46:51.180 such a cuck and like he probably maybe he was cheating too so he didn't give a shit or something 0.99

00:46:55.160 but anyway she's just a complete loser and then she then she went on cp24 and became part of the 1.00

00:47:00.620 propaganda machine and actually would actively promote vaccination covid all all that stuff all the 0.96

00:47:10.440 stuff that was questionable and that now people are coming out and going maybe that was actually

00:47:14.780 not that kind of an idea all that stuff she was behind okay and so that girl where is she now she's

00:47:24.200 on cp24 for the rest of her life or until she gets too old i mean she's asian so they'll probably keep 0.78

00:47:28.580 her till she's in her 50s um but that that's kind of a fun little story but but anyway so the reason i

00:47:35.640 told that story is because there's a lot of those comics that were against me and trying to make lists 0.76

00:47:42.040 and trying to do shit so it was a big fucking win for me to be like i'm headlining new york city and i 0.98

00:47:48.280 sold out and fuck you people including the ones that moved to new york that were against me during 0.99

00:47:53.740 the pandemic or or secretly against me during the pandemic but in my face they were oh yeah we love 1.00

00:47:59.820 the show and then oh yeah fuck man he thinks he's all that because he's running a show in a park 0.98

00:48:03.860 not to mention there's another guy that i kind of refriended not really but you know a little bit 0.85

00:48:10.620 who um stole the idea for the park show the the year after i did it in 2021 i guess he did it and then

00:48:17.220 he wouldn't book me on the show he did it in a different park he helped me the entire year uh that i

00:48:23.660 did the park show and then when it got shut down finally by cops and and and they were fines and then

00:48:31.780 i moved it to an indoor facility once we could actually illegally do comedy inside i don't know 0.98

00:48:36.920 if anybody fucking remembers that shit and then i started selling tickets and that's really how my 0.98

00:48:41.860 following grew but this guy helped me and then the next year did his own park show and never invited 0.99

00:48:47.520 me never asked me to do it ever not once and he probably did it for like 10 weeks or something

00:48:54.720 and then one day i fucking get a call from him and i go oh hey what's going on i guess uh today the day 0.91

00:49:01.260 you're gonna ask me to do your show and he goes well not really actually i need your lawyer to help 0.86

00:49:06.780 with the fines for the park show so he didn't even want and i go so why can't i do the show though like

00:49:12.880 i'm serious like why are you not putting me on the show you helped me all year with the other show

00:49:17.580 and now you do the same thing and you don't want to put me on oh well would make some of the other

00:49:22.440 comedians feel uncomfortable because they're woke and blah blah blah and he was like it's gonna if

00:49:28.580 i put you on my show it's gonna hurt my chances of getting cbc it's like bro you were never gonna

00:49:33.740 get fucking cbc to begin with it maybe he was because he's not that funny and that's kind of 0.90

00:49:38.700 one of the precursors for cbc but you know and he's he's another guy it's just opportunist friends 0.98

00:49:45.040 who are like oh when the opportunity so then i and you know what i was nice enough to go here's the

00:49:49.420 lawyer you can use this lawyer to get you out of the tickets and um and then you know year later

00:49:55.600 oh i'm sorry oh you're really blowing up now oh and i even let him open for me once and and and i just

00:50:03.640 regretted it because he just kind of tried to do like he tried to talk more about politics now and 0.99

00:50:10.140 be like more like on the right side like you know fuck that shit man fake phony bullshit and i put up with 1.00

00:50:17.940 a lot of it so that's why i'm so fucking hearted to all this other bullshit that you know with the 1.00

00:50:25.680 palestinian nuni and platoon and a little bit fuck off seriously fuck off and oh well jews have really 1.00

00:50:33.280 entrenched themselves in society yeah that's what they say every time they want to do a spanish 1.00

00:50:37.780 inquisition you fucking cocksucker it's called we're smart and we fucking came up with things and we 1.00

00:50:43.440 became people and we became successful and then everybody else gets mad because all you guys did 1.00

00:50:48.620 was sit on your fucking asses and be peasants just like in the spanish inquisition time bunch of 1.00

00:50:54.140 peasants and reading the bible and hey you know fuck off this episode is brought to you by patreon.com 1.00

00:51:01.720 slash ben bankus another way to support me is through buying my merch we have tons of bankus show 0.98

00:51:07.680 merch go to ben bankus.com and click the merch button now i gotta talk about new york city again

00:51:13.740 because i mean it's it's all i've been thinking about and i'll be honest with you so when i i told

00:51:18.920 you that i flew out of newark and then into newark and then out and and seeing new york city from the

00:51:25.600 sky and and it just started playing over and over in my head i've never really had this happen where

00:51:31.640 like i just kept seeing the images of new york city in my head and i'd go to sleep and i'd start

00:51:36.000 dreaming about it and i'd start thinking about it and i and and it's just this amazing place that i

00:51:42.520 want to live in and looking down one street of manhattan and just seeing buildings forever

00:51:46.780 which seems like to the edge of the world is an amazing fucking feeling but there is this thing 0.85

00:51:56.900 where people you talk about manhattan or new york in general and they go oh it's really expensive though 0.92

00:52:02.100 really expensive oh it's so expensive people say this about austin texas too oh it's so expensive

00:52:09.300 same thing with toronto so expensive yeah that's to keep poor people out that's how you keep a place 1.00

00:52:17.380 nice by the way is it is expensive everybody just thinks that like all these poor people and losers and

00:52:25.100 i can't live there yeah that's the point we don't want you here we don't want you here

00:52:31.080 move to the middle of nowhere where it's cheap and you can have a big property and i can have all my 0.97

00:52:38.340 dogs and i got seven dogs and whole place smells like shit and guess what it's only two grand a month 1.00

00:52:46.440 well yeah because you're a fucking loser and you even if you had enough money to afford to live in 1.00

00:52:51.860 manhattan or to live in a big city or toronto or austin or vancouver or fucking la you wouldn't do it 1.00

00:52:59.360 because you're a loser okay and you might even do it for a little bit and i couldn't do it i just 0.98

00:53:05.780 couldn't do it no you couldn't get successful that's what you couldn't do just some honesty for you 1.00

00:53:12.320 because i'm really sick of all these fucking people why is it so expensive it's to keep you out 0.99

00:53:18.620 period get out please we don't want you here well it's not very friendly to immigrants if you can't 1.00

00:53:28.400 have an apartment for a thousand that's the point live in new jersey and fucking drive an uber then 1.00

00:53:34.980 like every other fucking immigrant 1.00

00:53:36.840 i mean but seriously what if what if people expect everything has to be cheap everything has to be 0.99

00:53:44.980 affordable now i get when it's too much when it's you know in toronto where it's like seven

00:53:49.020 hundred thousand dollars minimum for like a one bedroom and it's a shithole i get that that's 0.98

00:53:55.440 fucking retarded but at the same time have you tried making more money have you tried making more 0.99

00:54:02.900 money because i don't fucking i don't do this whole oh save i need to save money and a lot of people are 1.00

00:54:08.160 tate talks about this a lot of fucking influencers and shit talk but the whole saving money and saving up 0.99

00:54:14.160 what are you saving up for oh just for an emergency i mean just give me a fucking break seriously if 1.00

00:54:20.260 you get in a fucking emergency just die don't save money for that shit go live your goddamn life be 1.00

00:54:26.940 somebody in this universe contribute something like the palestinian annoying people you're not 1.00

00:54:32.540 contributing you're not saving the genocide the genocide the genocide wait a couple years when all

00:54:38.320 these palestinians start getting they're gonna move to this country and that country and then 1.00

00:54:42.740 terrorist attacks are gonna happen and all this shit's gonna happen and these people these 0.99

00:54:46.980 university students are gonna be happy they'd be happy if a guy ran into the subway system with a 1.00

00:54:52.680 machine gun and and blew everybody's head off and then they go yay this is where anti-colonialists and 0.67

00:54:58.640 then they get their head about blown off but in some ways they're happy but that's what they want

00:55:02.220 it's better for the environment to be dead it's better for this it's better for that i have a really

00:55:06.260 good joke about this in my act by the way about liberals and and palestine that you guys are gonna

00:55:10.560 love and will probably go viral whenever i do post it but seriously enough before we get out of here

00:55:19.260 i just want to say thank you to everybody and obviously you know one of the other things that

00:55:22.680 really pisses me off is just now there's this whole thing where people think that if you just say 0.84

00:55:30.460 something on social media it becomes fact forever like i post shit and then people are arguing on my 1.00

00:55:37.040 shit and it's like good that's good for the algorithm argue away you fucking you know peasants 1.00

00:55:41.180 but people 1.00

00:55:43.880 say things on social media as if they are 100 true and you can't prove it you know like like i saw the

00:55:52.160 other day somebody commented or tweeted or something everyone's on their side now like on palestine's

00:55:57.860 oh yeah everyone everyone except who except pretty much anyone i know because the majority of americans

00:56:05.880 aren't on team palestine majority of americans are like palestine that's a bunch of terrorists what 0.91

00:56:11.620 the hell no they don't believe jesus christ you know and and these palestinian maniac people think 1.00

00:56:18.380 that they're gonna just convince everybody that like i'm right you're wrong it is a genocide it is 0.90

00:56:24.260 this it is bad colonialism's bad let's all give our houses back let's all give our houses back to the

00:56:31.040 indigenous native americans and then we'll all just you know just let's just evaporate into the air 1.00

00:56:37.500 and what are you talking about your people are out of your minds you don't understand how the world 1.00

00:56:58.860 energy arguing with them there's no changing their minds they're gone they're goners they're 1.00

00:57:47.340 it's ridiculous and some people are good at that management all that stuff but uh 0.96

00:58:31.860 people walking their dogs that's a big thing for me like if i don't see somebody walking their dog

00:58:37.000 like this is how you know a neighborhood is safe if you see somebody walking a dog immediately you're like

00:58:44.480 okay it's safe to be outside if you're in an area and nobody's walking a dog

00:58:50.400 it's like pretty much pretty if you don't see somebody walking a dog it's like don't go there

00:58:56.020 don't walk around that area and i mean if it's a black guy walking a pit bull still probably not safe 1.00

00:59:02.700 to be honest okay i'm talking about white guy with a shih tzu white guy with a corgi 0.99
