00:00:00.800 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
00:00:05.600 Pray for our enemies.
00:00:07.760 Because we're going medieval on these people.
00:00:10.800 You're just not going to free shot all these networks
00:00:12.800 lying about the people.
00:00:15.040 The people have had a belly full of it.
00:00:17.040 I know you don't like hearing that.
00:00:18.480 I know you've tried to do everything in the world to stop
00:00:20.040 that, but you're not going to stop it.
00:00:21.080 It's going to happen.
00:00:22.360 And where do people like that go to share the big line?
00:00:25.720 Mega media.
00:00:27.200 I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:00:32.480 Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:00:36.320 If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:00:42.560 War Room.
00:00:43.520 Here's your host, Stephen K.
00:00:45.520 Back.
00:00:47.440 It is Wednesday.
00:00:48.800 It's the 4th of January in the year of our Lord, 2023.
00:00:51.520 And we're starting this year, a year of decision in a year of,
00:00:54.800 I got to tell you, an inflection point for the United States of America
00:00:57.440 and the world as we work our way through the dark valley of,
00:01:01.120 we're in the valley of decision.
00:01:04.240 NBC News.
00:01:05.120 Caroline Ren's going to join us here in a second.
00:01:06.560 She remembers Vaughn Hilliard, right?
00:01:09.440 Vaughn Hilliard is now back.
00:01:11.040 He's interviewing Fred Upton.
00:01:13.280 Just broke an NBC.
00:01:14.720 This is Vaughn Hilliard.
00:01:15.760 You wouldn't rule out, talking to Fred Upton,
00:01:17.920 you wouldn't rule out if there was a consensus among Democrats
00:01:21.360 and certain Republicans to turn you, sir, in need of a speaker,
00:01:26.400 to turn to you in need of a speaker of the House.
00:01:29.440 You wouldn't rule out that and you would potentially serve.
00:01:32.960 Fred Upton.
00:01:34.000 I have not ruled that out.
00:01:35.680 Mike Davis, I'm going to start with you first.
00:01:38.320 Is Kevin McCarthy going to be the Speaker of the House, sir?
00:01:41.440 No, he's not.
00:01:42.400 He doesn't have the support.
00:01:44.080 He lost 19 votes on the first vote for speaker.
00:01:48.320 He lost 19 votes on the second vote for speaker.
00:01:51.440 And after Jim Jordan gave his endorsement of McCarthy,
00:01:56.160 McCarthy lost 20 votes on the third vote for speaker.
00:01:59.040 So he's losing support.
00:02:02.000 Yet President Trump, after these three votes,
00:02:06.880 President Trump even withheld his endorsement.
00:02:09.760 Then Kevin McCarthy apparently went down to Mar-a-Lago and begged like a dog.
00:02:14.160 I didn't realize that Trump was giving out table scraps in Mar-a-Lago,
00:02:17.440 but President Trump gave this tepid endorsement of Kevin McCarthy today,
00:02:25.680 saying that he'd be good, maybe great.
00:02:27.840 That doesn't sound like a very enthusiastic endorsement to me.
00:02:32.400 I didn't realize the Uniparty was allowed to raid Mar-a-Lago again.
00:02:35.840 But at the end of the day, think about this.
00:02:41.600 What has Kevin McCarthy done for Trump since 2020?
00:02:44.720 He has abandoned President Trump.
00:02:46.560 We have, not only did Kevin McCarthy do nothing, Kevin McCarthy's just been AWOL since 2020.
00:02:52.960 During COVID, BLM riots, when, during the election, when January 6th, how many,
00:03:00.080 Kevin McCarthy has sat by and let the January 6th commission get stacked by Nancy Pelosi's handpicked
00:03:08.080 Republicans because Kevin McCarthy stupidly boycotted the January 6th committee.
00:03:13.760 So you had Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger doing Nancy Pelosi's bidding on that committee.
00:03:20.880 They subpoenaed Trump, unprecedented subpoenas of Trump.
00:03:24.640 They, the unprecedented, they, they plowed through 250 years of executive privilege to go after Trump,
00:03:33.440 to go after his documents, to go after his top advisors, Mark Meadows, the chief of staff.
00:03:38.720 You, Steve, as the senior advisor.
00:03:40.560 Peter Navarro, as the trade director.
00:03:43.440 Pat Cipollone as the White House counsel.
00:03:45.360 They're charging you guys, trying to throw you in jail.
00:03:47.840 They're even going after Trump's supporters, grandmas who showed up and maybe trespassed on January 6th.
00:03:54.960 Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, correct me if I'm wrong, not just 200 years, 200 plus years of executive privilege,
00:04:01.520 and even how Congress is set up by committees, that one of the things last night that's coming out,
00:04:06.800 another ask that they're saying if he agreed to this, and I think a couple of guys put this up on their Twitter,
00:04:12.400 is that to release the documents on J6, correct me if I'm wrong, Kevin McCarthy is not committed to have
00:04:18.240 a real January 6th committee that we can get to the bottom, which we need to do.
00:04:21.720 We need to get to the bottom of Pelosi, the intelligence community, what people knew.
00:04:26.060 We need to have a full vetting of the entire thing.
00:04:29.120 And he's going, Kevin McCarthy hasn't committed to that.
00:04:31.140 That's one of the big asks that people are sitting there.
00:04:33.100 Well, if he commits to that, you know, maybe we can flip some votes.
00:04:36.020 Is McCarthy had Trump's back on any aspect of anything that you've seen on the legal side that you've worked so hard on, sir?
00:04:44.540 No, I mean, not at all.
00:04:46.060 It's been a lonely fight.
00:04:47.380 I mean, it seems like I'm the only lawyer in America out there defending President Trump since the Mar-a-Lago raid.
00:04:53.900 I mean, it's just unbelievable to me, the deafening silence, the crickets coming out of the Capitol from Kevin McCarthy and every other Republican.
00:05:04.380 Does the cartel want a return of Donald Trump?
00:05:09.520 And more importantly, do they want Trumpism to succeed, this populist, nationalist, traditionalist movement?
00:05:16.380 Do they want Trump personally to return as the president of the United States?
00:05:20.440 And do they want the success of the policies that underpin Trumpism, sir?
00:05:26.100 Hell no and hell no.
00:05:28.440 They hate Trump.
00:05:30.080 They loathe Trump.
00:05:31.240 They loathe MAGA.
00:05:32.740 They loathe Trump.
00:05:33.960 These people hate Trump.
00:05:36.100 They saw Trump as an aberration for four years that they finally were able to get rid of in 2020, and they hope that he never comes back.
00:05:45.740 And Kevin McCarthy is absolutely part of that mindset.
00:05:49.620 Kevin McCarthy cares about corporate interest in Washington, D.C.
00:05:53.700 He cares about the lobby circuit.
00:05:55.880 He's very good at raising money because he gets on a plane.
00:05:59.280 He goes and collects $5,000 checks from PAC lobbyists at these lavish resorts and events around the country.
00:06:06.940 He's very good at raising money.
00:06:08.400 He has not a conservative bone in his body, not a guiding principle other than Kevin McCarthy, and he's not the guy.
00:06:16.320 He's not red-filled.
00:06:17.380 He doesn't understand the fight.
00:06:19.180 If we had corporate America like it was envisioned mythically back in the 40s and the 50s, maybe it's part of the 60s, where it was all about just the business at hand, and you kept getting them tax cuts.
00:06:29.900 They'd get more productive.
00:06:30.720 They would hire more Americans at better wages and better benefits, and if you get them deregulation, stay out of their way, the libertarian model.
00:06:39.600 You know, Gorsuch and Geist, if you did that in this kind of mythical paradigm, all would be good.
00:06:46.220 Is that the reality of modern finance capitalism?
00:06:49.880 Is that the reality of – and you've seen these horrific – and I, quite frankly, think they are stunning revelations every day coming out with Matt Taibbi and guys who really are not the guys who are going to be looking at it.
00:07:01.260 But what you're seeing about the integration of social media, of publicly traded companies, right, integrated into the national security state, basically on active surveillance of the American people.
00:07:13.940 This makes – I've been the first guy – I was the first guy that came out a couple of years ago about the church committee.
00:07:17.660 We needed another church committee in the FBNCA.
00:07:19.720 This is so far beyond the church committee.
00:07:21.640 This is so far beyond where they were in the 70s.
00:07:24.140 Mike Davis.
00:07:24.720 Again, the Marxist left, they've taken over every institution, including corporate America.
00:07:31.680 I think big energy is the only industry that they haven't gotten their claws into yet, but they will because we're so weak and stupid on the right that we'll let this happen.
00:07:41.200 Republicans need to get out of this mindset that, oh, we just need to let the free market run its course.
00:07:46.860 We saw this with big tech.
00:07:49.320 They've become – they started off as internet infants in 1996.
00:07:52.660 They get this Section 230 immunity.
00:07:55.620 They've had this antitrust amnesty.
00:07:57.740 They have become these $4 trillion big tech monopolists, Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple, that control different parts of the tech market.
00:08:06.580 They use this power.
00:08:07.600 They work with government, as we saw, the FBI, the CIA, Fauci, the CDC.
00:08:12.340 They collude with government.
00:08:13.720 They use their government power and corporate power to censor, silence, deplatform, and cancel.
00:08:20.380 And it is very dangerous.
00:08:21.980 And the Republican Party needs to understand that corporate America, the Chamber of Commerce, they're not our friends anymore.
00:08:27.980 They're actually – they've become our enemies.
00:08:31.500 That's what this fight's about, ladies and gentlemen.
00:08:33.360 Mike Davis, how can people follow you over at Article 3 and how they follow you on social media?
00:08:37.320 And by the way, your getter account's amazing.
00:08:39.080 The Twitter account, particularly late at night, gets a little spicy.
00:08:42.520 So everybody should follow you on Twitter.
00:08:44.180 How did they get it, sir?
00:08:44.940 I just sent out a pretty fiery tweet just now, Steve.
00:08:48.020 So it's article3project.org, article3project.org, at article3project, at article3project, on getter Twitter truth.
00:08:57.600 My personal is MRDDMIA, at MRDDMIA.
00:09:02.940 And thank you very much, Steve.
00:09:04.000 Thank you, brother.
00:09:05.520 Appreciate it.
00:09:05.940 Do we have John Fredericks up?
00:09:07.420 Can I get to John?
00:09:08.160 John Fredericks, boy, what a day.
00:09:09.720 We've got Corey Lewandowski and John Fredericks on the same show.
00:09:13.060 John, give us your assessment of where we stand today, sir.
00:09:17.020 Well, listen, I thought yesterday was the third greatest day in our America First populist movement since we started it, since Trump came down that escalator.
00:09:27.120 The first day was when he got the nomination in Cleveland.
00:09:30.040 The second greatest day was that night that you were there where he was elected president.
00:09:35.180 The third greatest day was yesterday in this movement's history, Steve.
00:09:39.080 It's going to go down in the annals of history as the first day that we actually got new leaders to fight for something for the working people of this country, the people with dirt under their fingernails and calices on their hands that nobody pays attention to.
00:09:55.280 Finally, we got our movement in place.
00:09:58.560 That's why it was a great thing.
00:09:59.940 You know, all this talk about, oh, it's chaos.
00:10:02.200 Hey, let's embrace the chaos.
00:10:04.180 You know what chaos is?
00:10:05.700 $33 million in debt.
00:10:07.220 $10 million in debt on our balance to the Federal Reserve.
00:10:13.140 Open borders.
00:10:14.820 Grooming your kids in school.
00:10:16.820 That's what chaos is.
00:10:18.440 $1.7 million omnibus to strip the Republicans of any power financially until September.
00:10:26.580 You want to know what chaos is?
00:10:28.280 That's chaos.
00:10:29.140 What we're doing is taking back control of this movement.
00:10:32.860 I hear the other great thing about yesterday is we exposed conservative hate for the frauds they are.
00:10:39.900 From Fox News all the way down.
00:10:41.960 Trey Gowdy.
00:10:42.960 Jason Chavis.
00:10:44.100 The whole budget.
00:10:44.860 Newt Gingrich.
00:10:45.820 I love Newt Gingrich.
00:10:47.000 He's a relic.
00:10:47.960 Coming on TV, talking about Democrats are going to run the House.
00:10:51.360 You know what?
00:10:52.160 Go away.
00:10:53.240 Go back to the Vatican with your wife.
00:10:55.700 We're done.
00:10:56.440 Hey, this is our fight now.
00:10:58.920 Watch the end game, John.
00:11:00.440 Watch the end game.
00:11:01.080 There's got to be an end game.
00:11:02.040 You know what the end game is?
00:11:03.480 The fight is the end game.
00:11:05.320 Sometimes, Steve, you have to stand and fight.
00:11:08.060 That's the end game.
00:11:08.980 There is no exit strategy.
00:11:11.040 Winning is the exit strategy.
00:11:12.820 And winning means Kevin McCarthy is not going to be the speaker.
00:11:17.140 You know, one of the greatest things yesterday was these collective meltdowns.
00:11:21.120 On your show, by the way, you did a phenomenal job, MTG melts down for 30 minutes, right?
00:11:29.060 Why?
00:11:29.620 Because she sold her soul to Swamp Inc. for a piece of paper for committee assignments.
00:11:35.120 She melts down.
00:11:36.060 Hey, MTG, I've got a newsflash.
00:11:39.300 Embrace the suck because your guy's going down and you're going to get nothing.
00:11:44.400 Now they want to call us rebels, radicals.
00:11:47.300 Hey, I love that.
00:11:48.800 I want to be a rebel.
00:11:49.600 I want to be a radical not to spend $33 trillion on money we don't have, not to spend the country
00:11:56.380 into oblivion, not to have open doors.
00:11:58.780 Yeah, yeah.
00:11:59.040 I want to make sure he talks about the chaos.
00:12:02.380 By the way, the Hill newspaper said it.
00:12:05.460 The Senate thinks Kevin could really have problems even with the speaker concerning this.
00:12:09.840 And you get down to the eighth paragraph.
00:12:11.100 It's about the debt ceiling and it's about the appropriations bill.
00:12:14.300 It's about everything in office.
00:12:15.340 They want another $2 trillion unfunded and they want you to kick the debt ceiling up to
00:12:19.480 $40 trillion.
00:12:20.340 You know why?
00:12:21.180 Because they're going to live high on the hog and they don't give a damn about your kids.
00:12:24.640 They don't give a damn about your grandkids and they don't care about this country.
00:12:28.100 So the Wall Street Journal and all of our betters, Paul G. Joe, all of it.
00:12:32.000 Come and give me.
00:12:32.580 Tell me what the plan is.
00:12:33.440 You want to know what our extra strategy is?
00:12:35.060 You give me what.
00:12:36.200 Tell me what your plan is.
00:12:37.660 Tell me what the plan of McCarthy and the cartel is.
00:12:40.760 Because the nation's on the brink of a financial crisis.
00:12:44.660 It's not us saying that.
00:12:46.580 It's all the economists saying that.
00:12:48.740 Kenneth, what, Rogoff at Harvard just got this amazing article out about the contagion
00:12:53.680 that's going to spread from Japan to Italy to the United States.
00:12:57.580 Okay?
00:12:58.040 What have your betters done?
00:12:59.440 You're absolutely correct, John.
00:13:00.580 They've created the chaos and now that you have the working class people, middle class
00:13:05.280 as a country, say, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:13:07.000 We don't want to do this anymore.
00:13:08.740 John Fredericks, who's the creator of chaos?
00:13:10.940 Us or them?
00:13:12.700 Them and I tell you the other thing, Steve.
00:13:15.180 This is what winning feels like.
00:13:16.780 You want to know what winning is?
00:13:18.220 It was not winning eight seats where we should have won 50.
00:13:21.380 This is what winning feels like.
00:13:22.800 This is the smell of napalm in the morning, baby.
00:13:26.960 It's victory.
00:13:27.820 And there's no exit strategy here.
00:13:30.900 I got to tell you, yesterday has energized and mobilized the working class base of our
00:13:37.560 populist movement that has been completely disenfranchised from it.
00:13:41.660 That's why only, what, 55% of Republicans turned out on game day in these midterms.
00:13:47.940 They're done with it.
00:13:48.820 They're seeing nothing.
00:13:49.900 It's the uniparty and it's the swamp.
00:13:52.100 And I tell you what, President Trump, I got, you know, he put his comments out today.
00:13:58.280 I get it, right?
00:13:59.060 I get where he stands.
00:14:00.700 Mr. President, this is not your fight, okay?
00:14:03.040 This is our fight.
00:14:04.600 This is the grassroots fight.
00:14:06.540 Go flink out with the baron.
00:14:08.920 He's off this week.
00:14:09.820 Spend some time with your son.
00:14:11.660 I'm all for that.
00:14:12.560 I like spending time with Joe and my kids.
00:14:15.860 This is our fight.
00:14:16.940 It's not Trump's fight.
00:14:18.240 It's not the swamp's fight, the lobbyist fight.
00:14:20.260 This is our fight in the grassroots.
00:14:22.740 And I just, let me just finish with, yes, Steve.
00:14:25.160 Yeah.
00:14:25.380 The movement has, yesterday, the movement.
00:14:28.920 Will the lack of a red wave during the midterms lead to a more emboldened Biden,
00:14:33.800 more wasteful government spending, higher taxes, a deepening of inflation?
00:14:38.060 And how do you protect your hard-earned savings from chaotic financial markets?
00:14:42.600 The answer, by diversifying your retirement savings with real physical precious metals

00:15:38.360 What he's offering is a speakership that the remaining crazies can bring to a halt at a
00:15:45.120 moment's notice.
00:15:46.140 So how does anything function?
00:15:48.140 How does anything happen?
00:15:50.000 Yeah, I think it's going to start off really broken.
00:15:52.680 And if he does have to give in, like I said, on the motion to vacate where they can remove
00:15:56.000 him at any time, it could be a very short speakership.
00:15:59.360 You know, this is one of the things that when Paul Ryan took over said, you know, we
00:16:03.640 need to get rid of this rule.
00:16:04.580 We need to change it so this is not hanging over.
00:16:06.600 I mean, we never actually got rid of it.
00:16:08.460 We kind of got a handshake deal that they wouldn't use it against him.
00:16:11.520 Yeah, he's going to have no leash to do much of anything.
00:16:14.300 The good thing is that expectations are super low, that they're, you know, going to accomplish
00:16:18.600 a whole lot.
00:16:19.140 It is divided government.
00:16:20.100 But there are some things you have to do.
00:16:21.860 You have to fund the government at some point.
00:16:23.500 The thing that keeps me up at night is you have to increase the debt limit.
00:16:26.740 You have to avoid a debt default.
00:16:28.880 And providing Republican votes to do that is going to be extremely hard.
00:16:32.720 And it's the kind of thing where if you even try to do it, they could kick you out.
00:16:36.000 So I have very low expectations for what they're going to be able to do.
00:16:39.100 And it's not just Kevin McCarthy.
00:16:40.280 I mean, again, this comes down to whoever is in charge.
00:16:42.560 Whoever is going to become speaker is probably going to have to live under these rules because
00:16:47.240 these people have asserted their authority over the rest of the group.
00:16:50.900 And I just don't see any way out of it.
00:16:53.780 Okay, welcome back.
00:16:54.960 One of the best source reporters on Capitol Hill, Olivia Beavers, just reports that Ralph
00:16:59.900 Norman just told her, quote, let me just say that we're adding people, end quote.
00:17:05.660 In the middle of this fight, in the fog of war, I want to make sure we understand what this
00:17:09.360 is all about, Congressman Ralph Norman joined us about, I don't know, five, six weeks ago
00:17:15.800 and said about the conference, he asked Kevin McCarthy, are you for a balanced budget?
00:17:20.400 He said, no way.
00:17:21.240 And he came on the show and said, hey, we have a financial and economic crisis facing this
00:17:26.040 country.
00:17:26.640 We're going to need toughness.
00:17:27.880 We're going to need smarts.
00:17:28.740 And most importantly, we're going to need guts.
00:17:30.600 And I just don't think Kevin McCarthy has it.
00:17:33.060 Congressman Ralph Norman joins us now from South Carolina.
00:17:35.580 Sir, can you get us up to date on exactly what the tactics are?
00:17:39.660 Because I understand whether they're going to come back, not come back, are you adding?
00:17:42.200 But most importantly, what this fight is really about in your mind, sir?
00:17:47.140 What this fight's about, Steve, is economic security, national security.
00:17:51.600 You know, you've been saying this for a long time.
00:17:53.320 It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize this country is bankrupt.
00:17:57.560 And if we continue on the path of spending like that, whoever that on MSNBC, what his
00:18:05.380 plan was just to spend more and raise the debt ceiling.
00:18:08.900 That's not good.
00:18:10.180 That's not enough.
00:18:11.140 And it's not going to solve the looming problem that we have.
00:18:15.300 And, you know, I turned on the TV early this morning to hear Newt Gingrich talking about
00:18:20.500 how the sky's falling, how embarrassing it is.
00:18:23.220 It's pretty embarrassing what's happening to this country since the last 15 years.
00:18:29.540 But more importantly, now, the $1.7 trillion omnibus is a total robbery of the national treasury.
00:18:37.300 And we're just simply, the 20 of us, we're growing in numbers.
00:18:41.140 And we're going to stay here as long as it takes.
00:18:43.360 We don't have an exit strategy.
00:18:45.920 We're losing our freedom.
00:18:48.180 And I think I just applaud.
00:18:51.300 You know, they all said that it was only going to be five of us.
00:18:54.580 Well, they're wrong.
00:18:56.040 There will be more than 20 of us today.
00:18:57.640 And so, you know, if we don't handle it now, then when?
00:19:03.220 But when do we face it?
00:19:04.800 Kevin McCarthy has not got a track record of being a fiscal conservative.
00:19:09.160 When I mentioned, as you said, about when he agreed to that, that's a very simple question.
00:19:14.120 Any leader would have had that mapped out if it were important to him.
00:19:18.500 And he said, no, he's later come back.
00:19:20.800 But it's too little too late.
00:19:22.140 We get on the rules that you keep hearing about, which were common sense.
00:19:28.200 We gave him six, eight weeks ago, crickets.
00:19:31.800 He didn't say anything because he didn't think he needed us.
00:19:34.120 He thought the red wave would come and he could just roll over us.
00:19:37.320 Well, that didn't happen.
00:19:38.860 We had a meeting yesterday.
00:19:40.420 And what happened?
00:19:41.300 They threatened us.
00:19:41.880 We're taking us off committee assignments.
00:19:43.960 They threatened us.
00:19:44.580 We had to vote for McCarthy or this and that would happen.
00:19:47.840 Well, let him do it.
00:19:48.660 I mean, it's ludicrous, the thought process, that spending a day, a month, a week, it doesn't matter.
00:19:57.380 Picking the leader, the most powerful position, makes sense.
00:20:00.720 And we're going to stick in here and do it.
00:20:02.400 And I think the public is getting a front row seat, as John Frederick mentioned.
00:20:07.600 This is a movement.
00:20:08.860 And it should be a movement.
00:20:10.040 It's for the sake and freedom of saving this country.
00:20:13.480 Congressman, I want to go back.
00:20:14.620 You come at this as somebody who understands capital markets because you're a real estate developer.
00:20:19.000 So you're in financial markets all the time.
00:20:21.840 When you look at what this – and it's out of control.
00:20:24.600 It's out of control.
00:20:25.300 What they're proposing is insanity.
00:20:27.660 It's insanity.
00:20:29.180 And the only reason we can do it is that the best export – the only export we really have in this country is a big export, is the U.S. dollar.
00:20:36.860 We're the prime reserve currency because of the full faith and credit of the people of the United States, this audience.
00:20:42.080 Your constituents back in South Carolina, when you talked to them over the last couple of days, what is their – what is their take on what's happening and what is their angle of attack and what are they telling you, sir?
00:20:53.400 They're telling me they want a country that is financially solvent.
00:20:58.500 They're telling me they want a country that the money, the tax dollars are being spent wisely.
00:21:02.860 In a short four or five years, the interest on the debt, the uptick in rates, will exceed our national defense budget that we had – that we put up this past year.
00:21:16.660 That can't happen.
00:21:17.900 And so the only way I know to do it is put somebody in there that understands and prioritizes and will fight.
00:21:24.100 Do you really think Kevin McCarthy is going in with Mitch McConnell and is going to agree to shut the government down rather than raise the national debt and keep spending?
00:21:32.840 No.
00:21:33.280 He hasn't done it in the past, and he's not going to do it now.
00:21:36.260 I'm in the real estate world.
00:21:38.600 Interest rates matter.
00:21:40.080 It matters in the housing market and in everything that we've done.
00:21:44.500 And it's been eroded.
00:21:45.960 The confidence that we have now, the dollars, is quickly going to erode.
00:21:51.520 We're not going to have anything to bank any more borrowing on, which we don't now.
00:21:56.800 So it's a fight to have, and hopefully we're going to win it.
00:22:00.600 Congressman Norman, they went in yesterday and said, we're staying on the House floor, and we're going to vote for three or four days nonstop until we break these guys.
00:22:08.060 We won't go to – in fact, Kevin McCarthy told somebody, if we have to leave the floor and go to conference, I'll resign from Congress and leave.
00:22:14.240 All of a sudden, when they came to that fourth vote and they saw that the dam was just about to break, all of a sudden, all they want to do is go have dinner.
00:22:21.520 What is happening today?
00:22:22.720 You say you're going to add numbers.
00:22:24.180 Are we even going to have a vote?
00:22:25.500 Are they hiding behind – I thought these guys wanted to stay and break you guys on the floor, and global television wanted to break you yesterday or do it today.
00:22:35.180 Is there even anything scheduled right now?
00:22:38.200 Yeah, we gavel in at 12.
00:22:39.760 The word is he's going to move a motion to adjourn, which we're going to vote against.
00:22:46.480 Let's vote.
00:22:47.660 Let's see where they are.
00:22:49.100 And if he had confidence, he would do that.
00:22:52.000 But, Steve, he's not gaining in numbers.
00:22:55.140 This will be the fourth vote that he will lose again.
00:22:58.020 And what does that tell you?
00:22:59.000 And, you know, he – you know, the fact that we're not meeting is a good thing.
00:23:05.940 We're not spending the taxpayers' dollars.
00:23:07.820 And if we go long enough, then we'll get our paychecks banished, which will be a good thing.
00:23:13.200 Because we're not spending money and we're not meeting.
00:23:16.400 And the only thing we're holding up is some committee assignments, which shouldn't be set anyway, and some, you know, some hearings.
00:23:25.080 Well, I'm sorry.
00:23:25.720 There are more important things than hearings and the more important things to – like the national debt, we've got to have a fighter in there for.
00:23:33.460 And it just – Kevin McCarthy cannot do that.
00:23:35.640 He's not willing to.
00:23:36.860 He has not called any of the 20 of us to try and negotiate.
00:23:40.480 The only thing we saw was yesterday was trying to browbeat us and threaten us into a vote.
00:23:47.740 And that just doesn't work on us.
00:23:50.680 Does that work on your constituents?
00:23:52.300 When they said – when Rogers stood up and said they're going to strip you your committee assignments, how does that play to folks back home in South Carolina that have elected you as their representative to go to Congress?
00:24:01.020 How does that sit with them?
00:24:03.380 Well, it gives them a front-row seat to how Congress works.
00:24:06.280 This is a game of – you don't progress through the system by merit.
00:24:12.440 The lobbyists control – big money controls candidates.
00:24:15.640 And that's why we're in the shape we are.
00:24:17.400 Well, I'm sorry.
00:24:18.040 The American people control – should control Washington.
00:24:21.780 And that's what we will do when we put somebody else in a position that will bring some order.
00:24:28.480 What's happened to this country, particularly during this administration, is wrong.
00:24:33.040 And I applaud Donald Trump.
00:24:35.680 What he did was great.
00:24:37.020 I disagree with him back in McCarthy.
00:24:39.940 McCarthy's the one who criticized him in one of the century.
00:24:43.260 So I disagree with that.
00:24:45.180 And I disagree with all the media guys, Newt Gingrich, Mulvaney, others who are criticizing this.
00:24:52.240 Let them criticize all they want.
00:24:54.020 We don't care.
00:24:54.840 And we're not going anywhere.
00:24:55.780 And you're saying you're going to add – you believe what they call now – the smear you were saying you're the Taliban 20.
00:25:03.060 You believe, as we sit here right now, you will – next time we have a vote, that your group will add votes?
00:25:09.140 Yes, we will.
00:25:10.780 And the other thing, the good news, too, Steve, we're all uniting behind – you've had different people that we put up.
00:25:18.000 Jim Jordan is my pick.
00:25:20.260 But we will – if we get to vote today, you will have a candidate that will get the bulk of our 20-plus others, and that will be pretty exciting.
00:25:33.280 Congressman Norman, thank you very much.
00:25:34.620 How do people follow you on social media, your website?
00:25:37.740 How do people get to you and follow you?
00:25:39.180 Because there's going to be another historic day, sir.
00:25:40.840 BrettRalphNorman.com
00:25:42.920 Congressman, thank you very much, and thank you for the – thank you for the fight, sir.
00:25:48.320 Appreciate it.
00:25:49.340 Thank you.
00:25:50.860 For our audience, the number is 202-225-3121.
00:25:55.780 Remember, Congressman Norman and Gates and the 20, they're representing your interest.
00:26:02.680 This is – I can't say it any other way more bluntly.
00:26:06.400 This is about money and power, okay?
00:26:09.040 You're at the table.
00:26:10.140 Well, this is about they don't want you at the table.
00:26:12.940 They don't want you to have a voice, and certainly they don't want you at the head of the table.
00:26:16.460 They do not want you to chair what we call the creditor's committee.
00:26:19.700 They don't want you to have a say-so in the appropriations bill.
00:26:22.240 They don't want you to have a say-so in the debt ceiling.
00:26:24.440 Anything that's important.
00:26:25.940 They want to put a bunch of shiny toys out there to run around like on some of these other networks they think is a big deal.
00:26:30.960 That's not it.
00:26:31.480 That's about signal, not noise.
00:26:33.220 So if you want to help, if you want to have your voice heard, even if you support McCarthy and support President Trump, it's fine.
00:26:39.580 This is a free country, and I appreciate everybody in this audience.
00:26:42.280 We're not going to agree on everything, but the number is 202-225-3121.
00:26:47.600 Let them hear what you have to say.
00:26:49.120 Let them know where you're coming down on this, okay?
00:26:51.700 Short commercial break.
00:26:53.260 We've got Caroline Wren next in the war room.
00:26:55.920 We're going to connect some dots here between this fight for the RNC chair, what's happening on Capitol Hill, and really a historic titanic battle.
00:27:03.160 But I've got to tell you, if they gavel it in and ask to adjourn, hey, bro, you said you were going to stay.
00:27:09.340 You were going to vote until you broke us.
00:27:12.160 Where is it?
00:27:13.360 Give it to us.
00:27:14.340 Let's see it.
00:27:15.700 You've got supposed to have all these tricks up your sleeves.
00:27:17.300 Let's see the tricks next in the war room.

00:28:22.940 Always on the same page.
00:28:24.940 And until Republicans start to function like that, can you ever expect to effectively govern?
00:28:32.820 No.
00:28:33.520 I think we have to start working together.
00:28:35.700 I mean, I look at states like Arizona right now.
00:28:38.300 I mean, look at Arizona.
00:28:39.040 The top vote-getter in the whole state was a Republican.
00:28:42.260 She got 1,375,000 votes.
00:28:45.960 And the other Republicans that were running in that state, you know who didn't vote for
00:28:49.440 them?
00:28:50.040 Republicans.
00:28:51.100 So if we're so hateful towards each other that other Republicans won't vote for us, then
00:28:56.040 we're doing exactly what the Democrats want, right?
00:28:58.640 And so this scorched earth, I'm going to take on every other Republican, instead of focusing
00:29:03.120 on who voters want us to focus on, which is the Democrats.
00:29:06.700 Remember, the Democrats who are leaving our border open.
00:29:09.200 They're the ones who kept our kids out of school.
00:29:11.280 They're the ones who have allowed crime to run rampant in our streets.
00:29:14.580 That is the Democrat Party.
00:29:15.980 So as long as we're fighting each other, we are not keeping our eye on the prize.
00:29:19.940 And I think we have to get the speakership settled, and we have to go forward if we're
00:29:24.380 going to be successful in 2024 as a united party.
00:29:27.640 And right now, this exemplifies exactly what the Democrats want to see from our party.
00:29:33.040 OK, Carolyn Wren joins us.
00:29:34.760 Carolyn, put that in perspective.
00:29:36.440 Ronna's been on Fox the last couple of days, nonstop, supporting the cartel, supporting
00:29:41.900 Kevin McCarthy.
00:29:43.460 Just got a rollover.
00:29:44.280 Let's just do it.
00:29:44.940 Have a big group hug and just go on.
00:29:47.760 Is that how the world works right now, ma'am?
00:29:51.600 No, it's probably why she should be running a Girl Scouts organization in Michigan and not
00:29:56.540 the Republican National Committee.
00:29:58.200 And watching Fox News yesterday was the most tone-deaf thing I've ever seen.
00:30:02.320 I mean, all day, they were switching commentary between Ronna McDaniel and then let's bring
00:30:06.540 in Karl Rove next and hear what he has to say.
00:30:09.140 And it's just, it is ridiculous to even have to watch it.
00:30:12.100 But, you know, Ronna was on there all day claiming that the representatives who refused
00:30:16.220 to coalesce behind McCarthy for Speaker make the Republican Party look bad.
00:30:20.260 Like, no, Ronna, what makes the Republican Party look bad is you as RNC chair oversaw five
00:30:24.580 election, five years of election losses in the House, Senate and presidency.
00:30:28.160 That makes us look bad.
00:30:29.340 And then to bizarrely blame McCarthy's inability to get the votes for Speaker on Cary Lake by
00:30:35.360 citing Arizona as a place where Republicans lost due to bad candidates.
00:30:39.140 I mean, even if I were to concede that ridiculous point, like, Cary Lake is only down 17,000 votes,
00:30:44.880 which is only due to Maricopa County literally having to shut down 61 percent of the polling
00:30:48.640 centers on Election Day.
00:30:50.000 But yet, Ronna's sitting there from Fox, and she's in her home state of Michigan, where
00:30:53.360 Tudor Dixon lost by over 500,000 votes.
00:30:55.500 Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania lost by 250,000 votes.
00:30:58.480 So, Ronna, do us a favor and explain those losses in your own backyard instead of going
00:31:03.280 on and bumbling nonsense on Fox News blaming Kevin McCarthy's failure on Cary Lake.
00:31:08.200 And the problem is, Ronna imagines that she, and by proximity, Kevin McCarthy, are responsible
00:31:14.100 for the razor-thin House majority.
00:31:16.020 And therefore, Republican leadership like her and Kevin McCarthy should experience a coronation
00:31:19.820 and not this, what she's calling an obstruction, from 20 renegade House Republicans.
00:31:24.220 And that is the mindset that is just so out of touch with the base right now.
00:31:29.640 I want to go back.
00:31:30.580 By the way, Tudor, the Tudor Dixon loss was a tragedy.
00:31:34.300 She's one of the best candidates we have.
00:31:35.440 But I want to go back.
00:31:36.540 They didn't fund her.
00:31:37.300 Nobody gave her any money.
00:31:38.980 Yeah, exactly.
00:31:39.820 She was left out there on her own.
00:31:41.660 Yeah, left out there.
00:31:42.540 But this, let's go back to Cary Lake.
00:31:44.580 This thing, you know, the reason the loss is, don't think it's abortion or anything like
00:31:48.060 that.
00:31:48.280 It's 15 percent of what registered, or these Republicans, or the same problem we have with Trump in
00:31:53.140 2016, is that just because you're called a Republican doesn't mean you believe in the
00:31:57.480 same thing.
00:31:58.280 Right now, you have the cartel, which is the establishment, the inside game, versus this
00:32:03.080 populist movement.
00:32:04.360 And you saw this in Arizona, which was stolen.
00:32:07.020 And it was stolen by the Republican establishment.
00:32:10.920 They would rather have anybody than Cary.
00:32:12.500 There is zero probability Cary Lake lost that election.
00:32:15.540 Zero.
00:32:16.180 Zero.
00:32:17.180 That was absolutely stolen.
00:32:18.240 And the people that hate her most are not the Katie Hobbs progressive Democrats who hate
00:32:23.540 her.
00:32:23.880 Don't get me wrong.
00:32:24.540 They hate her.
00:32:25.060 And MSNBC hates it.
00:32:26.000 The people that hate her the most with a white hot hate is the establishment of Arizona,
00:32:32.300 the vested real estate and banking and finance community.
00:32:35.680 Is that the way you see it, Caroline, Ron?
00:32:38.700 Yes, of course.
00:32:39.460 And I also just, we're really bad at this as a party.
00:32:42.840 And part of it is just the establishment.
00:32:44.360 If we want to say that it's because we can't coalesce, fine, I will leave it.
00:32:48.320 Let's say that we are unable to get some of these independents that just hate Trump so
00:32:51.940 much that they'd rather, you know, send all their money to Ukraine and have an open border.
00:32:55.980 I'm just not convinced there's that many of those Republicans that are out there.
00:32:58.380 But let's say there even are.
00:33:00.080 Fine.
00:33:00.500 Shift strategies.
00:33:01.540 Like, then we just need to register 2% more of, like, the MAGA type of Republicans.
00:33:05.780 Go find them and turn them out.
00:33:07.500 And there we go.
00:33:08.900 Problem solved.
00:33:09.500 But instead, we just, you know, sit and twiddle our thumbs and do nothing, which I think is
00:33:14.060 just by tradition at this point at the RNC.
00:33:16.420 And it's ridiculous.
00:33:18.140 I mean, I have to keep watching Rana, and I think it blows up, on TV say, oh, you know,
00:33:22.720 we won the majority thanks to the great work of get out the vote efforts the RNC did in
00:33:27.520 New York.
00:33:28.460 And I said this today.
00:33:29.240 I mean, we didn't win the House because Rana opened four, you know, Asian American community
00:33:33.080 centers in the state of New York.
00:33:34.400 We won the House because four brave judges on the New York Court of Appeals threw out
00:33:39.240 the Democrats' insane gerrymandering.
00:33:41.260 And, like, we can literally win these races and different things by doing the work through
00:33:44.860 lawfare and the court systems years in advance to actually be able to set ourselves up to
00:33:50.460 win elections.
00:33:50.920 But we are set up in ways that it is impossible to win elections right now because the Republican
00:33:55.280 Party has no infrastructure to actually be able to do it.
00:33:57.900 And they just want to blame Donald Trump or Carrie Lake or, I mean, whoever the person is
00:34:03.040 of the day that they want to assume the blame on.
00:34:05.120 But we know what's going on here.
00:34:07.500 The blame is on them.
00:34:08.540 And so stop telling us, you know, that New York was on you and you're just – Rana's
00:34:12.860 just – it's driving everyone crazy.
00:34:15.560 Is the Speaker fight and the fight for the RNC chair two fronts in the same war?
00:34:21.880 Yes.
00:34:22.180 I think it's just people stepping up and wanting to demand change.
00:34:25.920 And, you know, I appreciated Mike Davis.
00:34:28.200 He's brilliant in his thoughts earlier.
00:34:29.860 But – and by the way, Mike has endorsed Armie Dillon for RNC chair.
00:34:33.780 So give him some credit there.
00:34:35.380 But I do break with him on Steve Scalise being an acceptable alternative to Kevin McCarthy.
00:34:40.540 I mean, Scalise did not back Harriet Hageman.
00:34:43.080 You can't forget this.
00:34:43.800 He did not back Harriet Hageman.
00:34:45.300 I think he's one of only, like, 20 members of Congress that did not donate to Harriet against
00:34:49.180 Liz Cheney.
00:34:50.200 And so if we're going to make this about, you know, the January 6th testimony and McCarthy
00:34:53.980 is not going to be strong enough, like, frankly, McCarthy, if it's McCarthy versus Scalise,
00:34:57.040 count me in for McCarthy.
00:34:59.200 And we're basically picking from the tallest midget here.
00:35:02.620 So, like – but that is something that I was listening to.
00:35:06.220 I'm like, I don't know if this is a good option.
00:35:07.740 And, frankly, at this point, I vote for anyone for speaker who is willing to say that if you
00:35:11.640 accept a PAC check from Pfizer, Meta, Google, Amazon, Apple, Bank of America, or BlackRock,
00:35:17.020 then you will not be eligible to serve as a committee chair.
00:35:19.280 That's what I think the House Freedom Caucus and people like Congressman Norman should be
00:35:22.520 saying right now.
00:35:23.100 If you want to change the culture in Washington, D.C. and change the way that Republicans operate
00:35:27.420 in Congress, just say, fine.
00:35:29.780 You know, these companies – by the way, after 2020, they banned giving to Republicans.
00:35:35.100 Now, all of a sudden, they want to donate to Republicans because we're going to be on,
00:35:38.240 you know, the chair of different committees.
00:35:39.680 Maybe we say, yeah, actually, you're not allowed to give to us.
00:35:42.120 We don't want your money, and we don't want you at our cocktail parties for two years.
00:35:45.000 Look, you're one of the biggest fundraisers and financiers in politics on the Republican side.
00:35:51.180 Explain to people why that's important.
00:35:52.900 If you want to break the cartel, the one thing you've got to do is limit their access.
00:35:56.420 Why is that – it would be such a seismic shift in the way the city operates?
00:36:02.300 Well, because these companies create these PACs, and they donate.
00:36:05.440 And every single night, if you're in D.C. when they're in session, there's just dinners
00:36:08.380 where they go, and the Apple gets $5,000 to come and sit and have dinner with whoever's
00:36:13.720 the committee chair that affects their policies and, you know, drink wine with the staff and
00:36:17.760 try and get the things that they want passed.
00:36:19.160 And that's why people like Matt Gaetz are so able to be free in this speaker's discussion
00:36:24.200 right now because Matt Gaetz doesn't accept PAC money.
00:36:26.860 And, you know, I am a fundraiser.
00:36:28.440 I've never done PAC fundraising, and, you know, I used to be for it.
00:36:32.880 This was before, but now I'm just totally against it.
00:36:35.120 I just think we should ban it.
00:36:36.260 It's ridiculous.
00:36:37.160 And especially after those companies declared war on us in 2020, and now they all of a sudden
00:36:41.820 went back in.
00:36:42.420 It's the same with the Chamber of Commerce.
00:36:44.120 Like, the Chamber of Commerce is now a tentacle of the Democratic Party.
00:36:46.800 And all of a sudden, we're taking back over the House, and we're just letting all these
00:36:51.940 groups back in and letting these companies back into our orbit.
00:36:54.520 And I think that's wrong.
00:36:56.880 We've had this cutesy phrase, which I don't like drain the swamp because it's too cutesy
00:37:00.000 about how awful the system is.
00:37:01.860 But this is what it's about.
00:37:03.000 You can't drain the swamp.
00:37:04.340 You can't break the cartel until you choke off the money and what their money gets, which
00:37:08.640 is access.
00:37:09.880 Their money, they essentially sit there and write the bills.
00:37:11.860 The money, what they want is access, and what they want is access into the legislative
00:37:16.860 process.
00:37:17.460 Correct, ma'am?
00:37:18.560 Yeah, that's it.
00:37:19.660 That's what the PAC fundraising is all circled around.
00:37:22.040 And so I just don't think it's appropriate to take a PAC check from Pfizer and then be
00:37:27.720 on the oversight committee of looking at what the vaccines did to America.
00:37:32.580 Like, maybe that should be a baseline.
00:37:34.320 I would love to see someone like Matt Gaetz or others step up and put that into the negotiations
00:37:37.820 right now.
00:37:38.280 Now, frankly, anyone who's ranked for speaker who is willing to say, nope, no money from
00:37:42.160 those guys for no committee chairmanships, great.
00:37:44.460 Let's back that person.
00:37:45.920 Can you run a modern political party, given the power of television and the amount of money
00:37:50.560 that you need?
00:37:51.360 Or do you just make the Democrats?
00:37:52.820 We make it, like I've been saying, they're really the party owned by the corporate oligarchs.
00:37:58.300 The question is going to be, hey, Caroline, that's nice.
00:38:00.800 Bannon, that's interesting.
00:38:02.340 But it's infantile.
00:38:03.400 You really can't compete.
00:38:04.760 You can't run a modern political party if you don't take the money from the biggest
00:38:07.940 corporations.
00:38:08.900 Caroline Wren.
00:38:10.640 Well, leadership packs, they can only accept $5,000 from these companies anyway, and it
00:38:14.660 just buys you into these receptions and dinners.
00:38:16.880 So I, and I've said this before, that money is diminishing in power.
00:38:19.720 So, you know, getting members to commit to not accepting a $5,000 pack check from Pfizer
00:38:23.960 is not the end of the world, considering today, right before I came on your show, I had to
00:38:27.400 read a tweet, breaking news from CNBC, George Soros' Open Society Foundation invested
00:38:33.040 nearly $140 million into the potentially politically charged nonprofits in the midterms, which is
00:38:39.020 not breaking news, by the way, that they've been putting hundreds of millions of dollars
00:38:42.680 through nonprofits since 2006 to influence their public policy will and turn us into
00:38:47.400 a Marxist country.
00:38:48.200 So debating over the $5,000 Apple pack check to me, it's ridiculous when Republicans have
00:38:53.400 come up with no answer to Arabella advisors and the web of 501c3s and c4s through money
00:39:00.420 from people like George Soros and these other folks, that is what is influencing us being
00:39:06.800 able to win races or not in the Republican infrastructure problems, not the Apple pack check.
00:39:10.340 Do you see, if they come in at noon without having a conference this morning, without having
00:39:16.960 a conference last night, without having a conference this morning, the guys are going
00:39:20.140 to stay for seven days for 133 votes and break the resistance.
00:39:26.200 If they come in at noon in, what, 10 minutes, and they move to adjourn right away and they
00:39:31.200 don't want to vote, is there any chance that Kevin McCarthy could be speaker after that,
00:39:36.160 ma'am?
00:39:36.300 I don't know.
00:39:38.700 And I don't know if anyone knows, I've not, there's not been a, a formidable person step
00:39:43.900 up and be an alternative.
00:39:44.720 Like some people, again, I just made my point about Scalise.
00:39:47.500 I just don't find that to be an acceptable alternative.
00:39:50.120 And so with, and with Jim Jordan, I, being the speaker of the house sounds like a miserable
00:39:55.680 job to me right now.
00:39:56.520 You're basically herding cats and you spend all day, you know, just trying to like organize
00:40:00.560 these folks to get them in line to vote.
00:40:02.260 So what Jim, Jim Jordan as a judiciary chair is, uh, I've been, I think way more effective
00:40:08.460 as to things that affect our daily lives.
00:40:10.880 And, and I see him being very skillful there.
00:40:13.040 If he ends up being speaker, that'd be incredible.
00:40:14.300 I mean, Jim Jordan's amazing, but like him as judiciary chair, I just think is a great
00:40:17.900 place.
00:40:18.160 And I don't like taking people off the field of places where they can be more effective
00:40:21.180 to move them into other places because we can't coalesce around someone.
00:40:24.060 You don't think, you don't think, you don't think McCarthy, you don't think McCarthy's
00:40:28.020 defeated until an alternative comes up.
00:40:29.600 You don't think eventually he just says, Hey, I can't, I'm every round I'm losing more
00:40:32.720 votes.
00:40:33.040 I quit.
00:40:33.440 You're saying until an alternative comes up, people can galvanize around.
00:40:36.260 You don't see McCarthy leaving the field of battle.
00:40:39.660 No, it doesn't seem to look like it, or he, he will have the ability, I think, to be able
00:40:42.700 to pick and say, all right, fine.
00:40:43.860 If it's not me, then it's going to be X.
00:40:45.620 And that's what we don't know.
00:40:46.540 He could say it's going to be schoolies, or he could say it's going to be, you know, screw
00:40:50.400 all of you.
00:40:51.080 And it's not going to be anyone from leadership, and in fact, it's going to be Jason Smith.
00:40:55.460 And he, I think he has enough that are following him and supporting him that they would go
00:40:58.380 that way.
00:40:58.860 And I can't imagine that he would just continue to go down and not have it set up to where
00:41:02.400 he'd be able to do select whoever the next person is.
00:41:05.300 And I don't buy it all of these Democrats coalescing to vote for Fred Upton.
00:41:09.560 I think that's a BS narrative that like, that's not going to happen.
00:41:12.600 The Democrats have said it.
00:41:13.600 They're not going to do that.
00:41:15.540 If, if, if McCarthy loses the speakership race, is there any chance Ronald McDaniel survives?
00:41:21.080 Um, I don't, you know, I think either way out of this, if he wins or loses Rana, this
00:41:27.260 looks terrible on Rana.
00:41:28.280 She spent a, uh, like hours on Fox news yesterday, putting ridiculous talking points and the base,
00:41:34.540 the people are done with the same leadership.
00:41:37.100 Now that Rana and McCarthy are not necessarily the same McCarthy has not been speaker yet.
00:41:40.960 And so he hasn't really had a chance to bail.
00:41:43.380 Rana has been the RNC chair for six years and overseen five failed election cycles.
00:41:47.340 So I would, uh, I, I just think that her record is worse even than, than McCarthy's.
00:41:52.340 And so I think that there, when she's talking about these 20 house renegades that are stepping
00:41:57.120 up to, to break from the mold, well, I think that there's going to be 86 members of the 168
00:42:02.100 that decide to be renegades and also step up against Rana McDaniel on January 7th.
00:42:05.580 What, what, what is your social media?
00:42:07.140 How do people get to you?
00:42:08.480 At Caroline Renn.

00:44:21.220 Let me tell you what impact you're having.
00:44:23.260 They're all talking about calls they're getting from the constituents.
00:44:29.160 Right now, Jake Sherman at Punchbowl, one of the best source people on Capitol Hill.
00:44:33.540 Breaking news.
00:44:34.180 Several sources tell me that House Republicans will try to adjourn until tomorrow for going
00:44:40.000 speaker votes today.
00:44:41.000 House Democrats will whip against this.
00:44:43.020 Republicans will have to carry this adjournment vote on their own.
00:44:45.920 This shows you McCarthy and his team do not want to get to the fourth round.
00:44:49.920 You know why?
00:44:50.340 There's going to be a jailbreak.
00:44:52.140 For the tough guys that talked, they were a step there for five days in a row and vote.
00:44:56.300 They're trying to adjourn tomorrow.
00:44:57.980 You know why?
00:44:58.900 Not only do they don't have the votes, the votes are going the other way.
00:45:01.060 202-225-3121.
00:45:04.520 Call and let your representative know what's on your mind, what you're thinking on this.
00:45:08.740 I want to go to the Vatican.
00:45:10.080 Our own Ben Harnwell.
00:45:11.520 Ben, what would be a massively historic day here in the United States has been kind of
00:45:15.700 overwhelmed by this fight on Capitol Hill.
00:45:17.700 But there is a funeral for a pope tomorrow.
00:45:20.140 Give us the details, sir.
00:45:21.340 You're live from the Vatican.
00:45:23.360 Good morning, Steve.
00:45:24.580 Yes, well, Pope Benedict died on Christmas Eve.
00:45:27.900 The burial is tomorrow.
00:45:28.960 This is the vigil.
00:45:30.020 There have been about 160,000 people that have passed in St. Peter's Basilica behind me to
00:45:36.420 pay their respects.
00:45:37.540 The funeral, which starts at 9.30 tomorrow, local time, which is 3.30 Eastern, if you want
00:45:42.760 to follow that on TV, it will be presided over by the pope, Pope Francis, and they're
00:45:48.680 expected to be about 16 or so heads of government, heads of state, attending in a private capacity
00:45:53.920 in addition to a number of European royalty.
00:45:59.140 This would normally be very traumatic for traditional Catholics because he was St. John Paul II's
00:46:05.620 wingman and was really looked at as the standard bearer for the traditional conservative
00:46:11.260 Catholics to rejuvenate the church along those lines.
00:46:14.800 Why does it seem like it's not quite that Ben Harnwell?
00:46:19.260 Probably, Steve, because whilst that is the common interpretation of the Benedictine papacy,
00:46:25.240 there are a number of commentators that tack a slightly different position, and they point
00:46:30.260 out that Pope Benedict isn't really the conservative hero that many conservatives believe him to be.
00:46:37.100 And, of course, many liberals paint him to be.
00:46:40.580 He was a pope very much formed in the image of the Second Vatican Council.
00:46:45.060 He said repeatedly throughout his life that was the most important spiritual event of his
00:46:49.660 life.
00:46:50.520 And the Second Vatican Council, without going inside Catholic baseball here, the Second
00:46:55.300 Vatican Council was that event between 1962 and 65, which fundamentally changed the Catholic
00:47:01.040 Church, which is supposed to be unchangeable.
00:47:03.240 And everything changed after that.
00:47:05.440 And this was a council, a big church event, where all the bishops of the world participated
00:47:11.660 in.
00:47:12.420 Benedict and his predecessor, John Paul II, they were experts at that council.
00:47:17.780 They were both very much in favor of the modernization at the Catholic Church, that the Catholic Church
00:47:23.740 then undergone after the Second Vatican Council.
00:47:26.460 And that is in direct contrast, Steve, to the traditionalist movements, which very much sees
00:47:32.640 the Church as in continuity, without rupture, and very much looks for the refounding of the
00:47:39.920 Church in the Church's own history without the need for radical change.
00:47:43.760 Is the death of Pope Benedict XVI, does this allow Francis to be even more radical, now that
00:47:52.380 there's not some Pope emeritus or some standard bearer for whatever the traditional cause is
00:47:56.980 looking over his shoulder?
00:47:58.940 That's absolutely correct, Steve.
00:48:00.460 Paul Francis, if you have any sympathy for him, I don't.
00:48:03.780 But he's had the thrift of Benedict XVI for the last 10 years since he resigned, simply
00:48:11.500 saying the words, when I resigned, when I partially resigned the papacy, I did it in error, I intended
00:48:17.980 to keep the P. Trine office.
00:48:20.920 And at any moment, Benedict could have done that.
00:48:23.160 And I think Francis, being the guy he is, I think he would have resigned within the hour
00:48:26.960 had that happened.
00:48:28.860 So, poor guy, who's really wanted to accelerate the reforms in the Church, has been looking over
00:48:34.560 his shoulder for the last 10 years.
00:48:36.840 Steve, that threat has now gone, it's now disappeared.
00:48:40.320 And the inner Francis can now reveal itself in all its glory.
00:48:47.280 How did they get to you on Getter?
00:48:48.620 We're going to be doing live streams and coverage, all of this.
00:48:51.160 How did they get to you, Ben?
00:48:52.140 How do folks get to you?
00:48:53.940 Thanks so much, Steve.
00:48:55.020 It's simply my surname, Harnwell, at Harnwell.
00:48:58.860 Getter's the only platform I comment on.
00:49:00.420 And I very much look forward to exchanging ideas with the great folks there that post contributions
00:49:05.820 to my feed, post responses to my feed.
00:49:08.760 Check my Getter.
00:49:09.960 We're going to be doing live feeds and live analysis.
00:49:12.220 It's a very important day tomorrow in the Catholic Church.
00:49:15.040 Ben Harnwell, thank you very much.
00:49:16.240 Live reporting from the Vatican.
00:49:17.440 Appreciate it.
00:49:18.840 Thanks, Steve.
00:49:19.340 From the sublime to maybe the less sublime.
00:49:24.320 This is the hard work of taking your country back.
00:49:27.020 Okay?
00:49:28.180 202-225-3121.
00:49:31.160 We start off the day telling you it's about money and power.
00:49:33.480 Okay?
00:49:34.200 The spiritual war we're fighting in the country, it's part of that.
00:49:37.480 But this is just good old blunt force.
00:49:40.200 And one side's going to win and one side's going to lose.
00:49:42.580 They've already, the opposition, the cartel, for all their big talk and controlling media
00:49:46.880 and controlling conservative and all of it, they blinked.
00:49:49.920 They blinked yesterday.
00:49:50.760 Remember, the whole thing was, we're coming in and we're going to vote till we break these
00:49:53.700 guys.
00:49:53.960 I thought there was going to be five.
00:49:55.340 There was 19 and then one added.
00:49:56.840 A McCarthy guy was added.
00:49:59.180 So now it comes down to what we're hearing right now, they're scrambling.
00:50:02.440 They're going to come back at noon in a few minutes.
00:50:05.400 Charlie Kirk's going to pick it up here, Real America's Voice.
00:50:07.940 I'm going to be over at Getter.
00:50:09.640 But right now they're hearing, they're not, they weren't going to, they were going to
00:50:11.900 try to adjourn and just go into conferences and not do anything, not vote.
00:50:15.100 Now we're hearing that actually, Jake Sherman's reporting, they want to adjourn to tomorrow.
00:50:19.520 You know why?
00:50:20.480 They ain't got the votes and the phones are lighting up for all of them.
00:50:25.820 And what they're lighting up to do and say, hey, this is ridiculous.
00:50:28.400 It's time to move on.
00:50:30.100 So we'll be back from five to seven live.
00:50:32.760 This is another historic day.
00:50:35.360 And the reason it's a historic day is because of this audience.
00:50:37.840 This is about you.
00:50:38.640 At the end of the day, it's about you.
00:50:39.540 It's not about Matt Gaetz.
00:50:40.780 It's not about Jim Jordan.
00:50:42.080 It's not about any of that.
00:50:42.800 It's about you.
00:50:43.840 The cartel, the corporatist, Wall Street cartel, administrative state that controls this
00:50:50.440 country does not want you to have a say-so.
00:50:54.080 They have said, hey, shut up.
00:50:56.280 Go to work.
00:50:57.400 Pay your taxes.
00:50:58.220 Send your sons and daughters to foreign battlefields.
00:51:00.500 OK, that's what they want.
00:51:02.120 And now that you've stood up, they don't like it.
00:51:05.100 202-225-3121.
00:51:07.360 We'll be back here at five o'clock.
00:51:08.720 I want to thank Real America's Voice, the great team in Denver, of course, our fantastic
00:51:12.340 production team here at the War Room.

00:51:40.540 We will fight till they're all gone.
