00:00:01.000 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
00:00:06.000 Pray for our enemies,
00:00:08.000 because we're going medieval on these people.
00:00:11.000 There's no time I got a free shot,
00:00:13.000 all these networks lying about the people.
00:00:16.000 The people have had a belly full of it.
00:00:18.000 I know you don't like hearing that.
00:00:19.000 I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that,
00:00:21.000 but you're not going to stop it.
00:00:22.000 It's going to happen.
00:00:23.000 And where do people like that go to share the big line?
00:00:26.000 MAGA Media.
00:00:28.000 I wish in my soul,
00:00:30.000 I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:00:33.000 Ask yourself,
00:00:34.000 what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:00:37.000 If that answer is to save my country,
00:00:40.000 this country will be saved.
00:00:43.000 War Room.
00:00:44.000 Here's your host, Stephen K. Mann.
00:00:51.000 And I'm sick and tired of Republicans trashing the United States of America.
00:00:56.000 And I'm sick and tired of their trashing our men and women in uniform,
00:01:01.000 suggesting we're in decline.
00:01:03.000 If you think we're in decline,
00:01:05.000 if you want to have Russian to move to Russia, Ted,
00:01:09.000 if you hate troops from Texas,
00:01:11.000 move to Russia, please, please.
00:01:14.000 We're not keeping you here.
00:01:16.000 Take your podcast there.
00:01:17.000 If you think we're in decline,
00:01:20.000 if you think we're in decline,
00:01:22.000 then move, Marco, from Miami to Moscow.
00:01:25.000 It's that simple.
00:01:26.000 You know, it's conservatives that used to say America love it or leave it.
00:01:30.000 I feel like saying it right now to these Republicans who constantly trash America.
00:01:36.000 They constantly trashed the United States military.
00:01:40.000 He's being criticized for not shooting it down sooner.
00:01:42.000 But he also sent a very direct...
00:01:43.000 He sent a very...
00:01:44.000 He's being criticized for not shooting it down sooner.
00:01:46.000 So you don't think that that was a mistake?
00:01:48.000 No.
00:01:49.000 Because we were able to gather more intelligence and more information.
00:01:52.000 We were able to collect back on the balloon.
00:01:55.000 We know more about Chinese capabilities and tradecraft as a result of that decision.
00:01:59.000 And then we ultimately shot it down and sent a very direct message to China that it was unacceptable.
00:02:04.000 You deserve the truth.
00:02:06.000 So let's start with the facts.
00:02:08.000 Our national debt is high.
00:02:11.000 Too high.
00:02:12.000 And the problem is getting worse, not better.
00:02:15.000 We are now $31 trillion in debt.
00:02:20.000 That is more than the size of the entire American economy.
00:02:24.000 20% more.
00:02:26.000 Our debt is now a greater burden than it has been at any time since World War II.
00:02:33.000 If we continue down this path, in the next 10 years, we will spend over $8 trillion just on interest.
00:02:44.000 That's more than the entire federal budget this year by a lot.
00:02:49.000 That is neither affordable nor sustainable.
00:02:53.000 When debt is too high, inflation is the result.
00:02:58.000 That is where we are today.
00:03:00.000 Inflation has exploded.
00:03:02.000 Mortgage rates have doubled.
00:03:05.000 Working Americans, after inflation and taxes, have gotten a pay cut.
00:03:10.000 And eggs, a staple of America's breakfast, have gone from a cheap source of protein to a luxury good.
00:03:19.000 A responsible debt limit increase that begins to eliminate wasteful Washington spending and puts us on a path towards a balanced budget is not only the right place to start, it's the only place to start.
00:03:35.000 My fellow Americans, I cannot stand still in the face of a growing national debt and diminishing economic opportunities.
00:03:44.000 My colleagues and I in Congress were elected at this moment in time to restore your voice in Washington.
00:03:53.000 And to deliver the bright future you want, need and deserve.
00:03:58.000 Not only for you, but for your children and their children.
00:04:03.000 We will not let you down.
00:04:06.000 Mr. President, congressional Republicans are ready to act to save our country and to make America stronger.
00:04:15.000 I hope you will join us.
00:04:17.000 We talk about this all the time.
00:04:19.000 Populist heroes that are Princeton boys.
00:04:23.000 Populist heroes that are Stanford boys.
00:04:27.000 Populist heroes that are Hovind boys.
00:04:31.000 Like you look at Josh Hawley, Mr. Populous.
00:04:35.000 I mean, the guy went to Yale and Stanford.
00:04:39.000 DeSantis went to what?
00:04:41.000 Yale and Hobbit.
00:04:42.000 I mean, these phony populists are really going to match up, are really going to match up.
00:04:50.000 I just I just lost my train of concentration.
00:04:53.000 I was just thinking, do you remember when we were in Alabama, we were in Alabama doing that special show.
00:05:01.000 And Steve Bannon gets up in Alabama and he's giving a speech.
00:05:06.000 He goes, I went to Georgetown.
00:05:08.000 I went to Georgia.
00:05:09.000 How smart could Joe Scarborough be?
00:05:11.000 He went to the University of Alabama.
00:05:14.000 I'm like, dude, you're in Alabama.
00:05:17.000 Roll tide.
00:05:18.000 Like this, these cosmopolitan elites like Steve Bannon, these cosmopolitan elites who play populist.
00:05:28.000 They're going up against a guy born in Scranton that went to University of Delaware.
00:05:35.000 I think he's the last state school guy or the last guy not to go to an Ivy League college since Ronald Reagan.
00:05:43.000 Yeah. The lefty elitist label has never fit tightly with Joe, with Joe Biden.
00:05:48.000 Also, Joe, I love, by the way, the ones who put on the corn pone accent that they must have picked up at one of the eating clubs at Oxford when they go on TV.
00:05:56.000 Well, you know, you got to talk about John Kennedy.
00:05:59.000 Well, I just don't know the dog game.
00:06:01.000 That dog ain't going to hunt.
00:06:03.000 They're too liberal.
00:06:04.000 They're a leader.
00:06:05.000 That guy went to Oxford and he voted for John Kerry.
00:06:12.000 He came out and said, I'm for John.
00:06:14.000 And now it's like he puts a corncob pipe in his mouth and talks about elitist.
00:06:20.000 He's an Oxford boy.
00:06:22.000 Yes.
00:06:23.000 Oh, my God.
00:06:24.000 Many of them are.
00:06:25.000 OK, we're going to let you decompress for a minute.
00:06:27.000 Talk to Jen.
00:06:28.000 OK, I can't I can't take any more.
00:06:30.000 I was going to wait for the Jen Psaki punchline, but I just can't do it.
00:06:34.000 That's morning, Joe, and one of their rants.
00:06:37.000 The and by the way, welcome.
00:06:40.000 It is Tuesday.
00:06:41.000 Was it seven?
00:06:42.000 Seven February.
00:06:43.000 It's State of the Union Day, which is normally a joke when he got Biden.
00:06:48.000 These guys spinning line, etc.
00:06:51.000 Year of our Lord 2023.
00:06:53.000 We've got a lot to get to.
00:06:55.000 I just heard that the reason that there's the fence around, they put the fence up again.
00:06:59.000 The you know, they get a bigger fence around the capital and they got on the southern border.
00:07:04.000 They put it up.
00:07:05.000 And I understand McCarthy.
00:07:06.000 I get the bottom of this.
00:07:07.000 He was overruled by the master at arms or the sergeant at arms.
00:07:12.000 I don't know how you didn't veto that, but we'll get to that.
00:07:14.000 It's ridiculous.
00:07:15.000 Redonkulous, as we say.
00:07:17.000 Let me bring in another populist from Havid.
00:07:20.000 Dr.
00:07:21.000 Peter Navar.
00:07:22.000 Navar.
00:07:23.000 Hey, look, your return on the show.
00:07:25.000 Hang on.
00:07:26.000 Your return on the show on Saturday.
00:07:28.000 The audience loved it.
00:07:29.000 It was absolutely incredible.
00:07:31.000 So we set up today to you to walk through some economics and capital markets and particularly
00:07:35.000 the phony, all the lies Biden are going to say tonight.
00:07:38.000 And by the way, we've got Mike Hell Heritage is going to be here.
00:07:41.000 Dave Brad's going to join us.
00:07:43.000 Congressman Norman, who kicked off the entire five days of change America by saying, hey,
00:07:48.000 McCarthy was weak on the balanced budget and weak on the debt ceiling.
00:07:51.000 So we've got all that today.
00:07:53.000 Plus Ukraine, China, all that.
00:07:56.000 But Navarro, where's the camera?
00:07:59.000 Is it because you're not fully cut?
00:08:01.000 You're not fully ripped?
00:08:03.000 It's not a gun show.
00:08:05.000 We don't have a gun show because you've had a few little health problems.
00:08:08.000 Oh, man.
00:08:09.000 Maybe the hair's a little long.
00:08:11.000 You've got a gray beard.
00:08:13.000 Yeah, go ahead.
00:08:14.000 I put on an abandoned 20, so I don't want anybody to see me.
00:08:17.000 Back at you, dude.
00:08:21.000 Back at you, dude.
00:08:22.000 That's not a 20.
00:08:23.000 That's a ban in 40.
00:08:24.000 I'm coming at you.
00:08:25.000 I'm coming at you.
00:08:26.000 I'm coming at you.
00:08:27.000 Okay.
00:08:28.000 In your defense, in your defense, I just want to let Joe Scarborough know, the last time
00:08:33.000 I looked, you grew up in a hardscrabble neighborhood in Richmond, Virginia, fighting Irishmen,
00:08:41.000 going to public high school, joined the friggin' Navy.
00:08:45.000 No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:08:47.000 Went to a, hang on, hang on.
00:08:49.000 Oh, did the Navy contract?
00:08:50.000 Don't get so, don't get too, went to a Catholic, went to a Catholic military school.
00:08:54.000 They had to straighten guys out.
00:08:56.000 No, but it wasn't, look, the neighborhood was great, but the general north side of Richmond
00:09:01.000 is maybe, I love it, but it's a little rough.
00:09:04.000 But for Scarborough, what I said in Alabama, he puts on these airs with how smart he is
00:09:09.000 and how intellectual he is.
00:09:10.000 He's an airhead.
00:09:12.000 Morning Mika does the heavy lift.
00:09:14.000 When is MSNBC going to change the show to Morning Mika?
00:09:17.000 When is she going to, by the way, they just had a lawsuit with some anchor who got paid
00:09:22.000 $80,000 less than the mail.
00:09:24.000 She won 10 million bucks.
00:09:26.000 Mika, sue today.
00:09:27.000 Stand up for your rights.
00:09:29.000 You do all the heavy lifting, right?
00:09:31.000 That guy, he ain't heavy.
00:09:32.000 He's my husband, right?
00:09:34.000 You're carrying that guy.
00:09:35.000 He's a load, as we say.
00:09:36.000 By the way, I think you should put a fifth hour on the show and just do the cold open.
00:09:43.000 The Emmy Awards had an award for shows with the best cold open.
00:09:47.000 That cold open yesterday had the 6 o'clock show with Scott Adams on the anti-vax stuff.
00:09:53.000 I mean, anyway, but let's digress.
00:09:56.000 Let's get down to the state of the U.S.
00:09:58.000 No, no, no.
00:09:59.000 Hang on.
00:10:00.000 Hang on.
00:10:01.000 Hang on.
00:10:02.000 Hang on.
00:10:03.000 I'm going to talk about it.
00:10:04.000 Now that we're having smart repartee, the cold opens, they're now legendary.
00:10:12.000 And my staff puts them together maybe with a tad bit of guidance.
00:10:16.000 But remember, the audience hated it when we first started doing it years ago.
00:10:22.000 I can't stand Rachel Maddow's voice, morning Mika, you know, she's got her resting bitch
00:10:27.000 face, right?
00:10:28.000 They hated it.
00:10:30.000 And now they crave it.
00:10:33.000 They want to hear what Mika's got to say, and she's giving stink eye to Joe.
00:10:37.000 Because they want to hear what the opposition says, right?
00:10:40.000 Okay, so tell me, but first off, I want to go to, can we play the clip again?
00:10:45.000 And speaking of the magnificent cold open our staff put together, and Mika, I'm only kidding.
00:10:50.000 We call the show Morning Mika.
00:10:51.000 We're fighting for your pay raise.
00:10:53.000 We're fighting for you to get naming rights to the show and own the intellectual property.
00:10:57.000 Can we get, can we play again?
00:11:00.000 The way to get the Democratic talking points is just listen to them.
00:11:03.000 That's good.
00:11:04.000 It's easy, you know?
00:11:05.000 It's like, good.
00:11:06.000 It's the conventional wisdom.
00:11:07.000 Yeah.
00:11:08.000 Yeah.
00:11:09.000 Can we play, can we play the Don Lemon clip?
00:11:12.000 I got to show the White House spokesman.
00:11:13.000 I want your expertise since you've written three books on war with China.
00:11:17.000 The CCP.
00:11:18.000 Yeah.
00:11:19.000 Let's go ahead and play it.
00:11:20.000 He's being criticized for not shooting it down sooner.
00:11:21.000 But he also sent a very direct, he sent a very.
00:11:24.000 He's being criticized for not shooting it down sooner.
00:11:26.000 So you don't think that that was a mistake?
00:11:28.000 No, because, because we were able to gather more intelligence and more information.
00:11:32.000 We were able to collect back on the balloon.
00:11:34.000 We know more about Chinese capabilities and trade craft as a result of that decision.
00:11:39.000 And then we ultimately shot it down and sent a very direct message to China that it was unacceptable.
00:11:44.000 Yeah.
00:11:45.000 Yeah.
00:11:46.000 Okay.
00:11:47.000 That right there.
00:11:48.000 Hang over a second, Navarro.
00:11:49.000 I'm robbing this train.
00:11:50.000 I'm robbing this train.
00:11:51.000 Yeah.
00:11:52.000 I'm robbing this train.
00:11:53.000 The, that was.
00:11:54.000 I'm sorry.
00:11:55.000 That was a.
00:11:56.000 I get it.
00:11:57.000 I know I'm on my plate.
00:11:58.000 That was okay.
00:11:59.000 You just keep thinking.
00:12:00.000 Okay.
00:12:01.000 Let Butch, let Butch, let Butch, let Butch take the lead here.
00:12:04.000 Hold it.
00:12:05.000 The, the.
00:12:07.000 Yeah.
00:12:08.000 That's a bald-faced lie.
00:12:09.000 That's a bald-faced lie.
00:12:10.000 That's a bald-faced lie.
00:12:11.000 Yeah.
00:12:12.000 That's a bald-faced lie.
00:12:13.000 Yeah.
00:12:14.000 They know about it on the 28th, the 29th, the 3rd.
00:12:15.000 Yeah.
00:12:16.000 If the individual for the Billings, the Billings Montana Gazette had not gone out and take the
00:12:22.000 photograph, they would already, they would already, always kept this suppressed.
00:12:26.000 Beijing knew that.
00:12:27.000 And as Tom Cotton pointed out, they were just trying to get Blinken to the plane on Friday,
00:12:32.000 so they could go have the meeting in Beijing.
00:12:34.000 And on Monday and Tuesday today, before the State of the Union and before, most importantly,
00:12:40.000 the Wednesday laptop from hell, you know, the beginnings of the laptop from hell investigation
00:12:46.000 by Comer, they could say how great the relationships are with China.
00:12:50.000 We put the Trump era in the back of us.
00:12:51.000 It's going to be world peace.
00:12:52.000 We're rubbing up on the CCP.
00:12:54.000 That, the White House is a bald-faced lie.
00:12:56.000 And the people in the House have to get the timeline right here.
00:12:59.000 Don't, don't give me any, I don't care about any of the balloons going anywhere.
00:13:02.000 I don't care about anything.
00:13:03.000 All I care about is what did they know and when did they know it?
00:13:07.000 Because you're going to see they purposely suppress this information, Navarro, from even
00:13:13.000 higher up in the military command to suppress it.
00:13:15.000 Your thoughts?
00:13:16.000 We've got a minute, Peter.
00:13:17.000 We're going to hold you through.
00:13:18.000 Give me your thoughts on this.
00:13:19.000 You and I, you and I in the White House, if this had happened, down in the sit room,
00:13:22.000 we would have said to the boss, look, this thing's coming at over Alaska.
00:13:26.000 We've got to, we don't shoot it down.
00:13:29.000 We take it down.
00:13:30.000 We, we, we figure out a way to get a little air out of that balloon, gently bring it down
00:13:36.000 so that we have the whole damn thing.
00:13:38.000 Right?
00:13:39.000 All the mechanisms, we don't have to send fraud men after them and things like that.
00:13:44.000 And we figure out exactly what they're doing.
00:13:47.000 And the flaw in that whole argument, Steve, is that a lot of the information, digital and
00:13:53.000 visual, that was, that was coming off that balloon from the U.S. was going right through cameras and
00:14:01.000 sensing devices to servers in Beijing.
00:14:04.000 Okay.
00:14:05.000 So there's no hard drive in the frigging balloon, right?
00:14:08.000 The idea of letting it traverse the whole thing, the whole country was just wrong.
00:14:13.000 And using a Sidewinder missile and an F-22, which was the Mach 50.
00:14:20.000 I mean, it's just crazy.
00:14:22.000 It's just the wrong way to do, do everything about it.
00:14:25.000 And this is going to stick.
00:14:27.000 This thing is going to be, this is a symbol, Steve.
00:14:31.000 This, this, this, I think this is, somebody called it the sputnik moment here in a way.
00:14:36.000 And I think this will be with us in the 2024 campaign.
00:14:39.000 And Trump got out there right away and said, shit that frigging down.
00:14:43.000 The, the, the cow, the kowtowing.
00:14:45.000 Okay.
00:14:46.000 Peter, hang on.
00:14:47.000 We'll get to the economics.
00:14:48.000 I'll short commercial break.
00:14:49.000 Dr.
00:14:50.000 Peter Navarro.
00:14:51.000 We got Mike Howell on deck, Dave Brat, Congressman Norman.
00:14:56.000 We're on it today in the war room.
00:15:00.000 Despite the U.S. blowing through $31.4 trillion debt ceiling in January, the leftist White House still refuses to reduce spending.
00:15:09.000 While our national leadership has buried their heads in the sand, when it comes to fiscal responsibility, it's time to pull yours out.
00:15:17.000 Think about this.
00:15:18.000 To dig our country out of this mountain of debt, every single taxpayer in America would have to write a check for $247,000.
00:15:27.000 And it's only going to get worse.
00:15:30.000 Now would be a great time to diversify into gold with Birch Gold.
00:15:34.000 In times of high uncertainty and instability, gold is king because it's dependable.
00:15:40.000 Birch Gold makes it easy to convert an IRA or 401k into an IRA in precious metals.

00:16:25.000 Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:16:32.000 Okay, CPAC.org slash War Room.
00:16:38.000 Cary Lake, which I think Bo Burt.
00:16:41.000 Everybody is showing up here.
00:16:43.000 There are going to be speakers, workshops, breakout sessions.
00:16:45.000 I want the entire War Room posse that's in the mid-Atlantic area to come down.
00:16:50.000 And hey, if you want to come in from the rest of the country, you won't be disappointed.
00:16:53.000 You're going to have a ton of fun.
00:16:55.000 Everybody that came to Turning Point in Phoenix or CPAC Dallas I think still remembers that and talks.
00:17:00.000 Just get them in the chat rooms and ask them.
00:17:02.000 I think everybody had a great time.
00:17:04.000 You're going to be a live participant in the shows that we're going to do.
00:17:08.000 I think Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or maybe I think even Wednesday I think we start with the show.
00:17:12.000 So March 1st through 4th, you don't want to miss it.
00:17:15.000 It's going to be a great time.
00:17:16.000 All the people driving the MAGA agenda, including President Trump, is going to speak there also.
00:17:21.000 Dr. Navarro, tonight he's going to take a victory lap on his great economy, sir, this economy that's just driven by fiat, burning of fiat money.
00:17:32.000 Give us the doctrine of our assessment of this, particularly he's touting the greatest economic numbers on labor, on employment, sir, since before man walked on the moon.
00:17:44.000 Of course, he doesn't talk about the 22 months in a row of declining wages.
00:17:48.000 But, sir, it's your stage.
00:17:50.000 Hit it.
00:17:51.000 Illegal immigration is the Federal Reserve and White House policy to combat inflation.
00:18:01.000 That's the headline.
00:18:02.000 He won't tell you that.
00:18:04.000 He probably doesn't even understand it.
00:18:07.000 But everybody around him does, as well as Jerome Powell.
00:18:11.000 Here's the data that caught my eye, Steve.
00:18:13.000 This just astonished me.
00:18:15.000 They actually printed this in the government data.
00:18:18.000 953,000 new entrants into the workforce to keep, and most of them, most of them were males, illegal aliens, and uneducated.
00:18:34.000 Okay, think about that.
00:18:35.000 Close to a million new entrants into the workforce from that surge of illegals coming across the border.
00:18:43.000 Now, juxtapose that against this fall in real wages.
00:18:47.000 You know, for the posse here, what that means is nominal wages.
00:18:51.000 You know, what they're paying you, that number's going up, but inflation is going up faster.
00:18:58.000 So you're actually losing.
00:19:00.000 Your real wages are declining.
00:19:03.000 And one of the ways that's happening, Steve, is that these million new illegal aliens in the workforce drive down wages.
00:19:14.000 This is the most outrageous let-them-eat-cake policy.
00:19:20.000 And remember, these people are supposed to be Democrats.
00:19:23.000 They're the party of the working class.
00:19:25.000 So Biden's going to get up there and trumpet that low unemployment rate, but he's not going to tell you.
00:19:32.000 The other thing, Steve, is we've got a really, there's termites in the house of our labor force here.
00:19:39.000 We've lost a lot of highly productive people who were like 50 and over during the pandemic and even now.
00:19:48.000 They just retired early and got the hell out.
00:19:51.000 That's going to catch up with us.
00:19:53.000 We see you go like the Washington, D.C. here, Steve, or major cities.
00:19:58.000 The commercial office buildings are decimated.
00:20:01.000 Every single one of these big corporations is cutting back on office work to go to remote.
00:20:09.000 And I'm telling you, that's not going to be as productive.
00:20:13.000 It's just not going to work the way you can do it for a little while because back before the pandemic, people knew people.
00:20:22.000 Okay.
00:20:23.000 So there was that camaraderie before.
00:20:25.000 But as the transition goes longer, that's going to catch up for us as well.
00:20:31.000 And so we've got a situation here.
00:20:33.000 Yeah.
00:20:34.000 Go ahead.
00:20:35.000 No.
00:20:36.000 Give me.
00:20:37.000 Where did you pull the one million?
00:20:38.000 Where did you?
00:20:39.000 Yeah.
00:20:40.000 But where did you pull the one million number?
00:20:42.000 Because this is what they were talking about.
00:20:43.000 Yeah.
00:20:44.000 Yeah.
00:20:45.000 I'll get that to Cameron and you guys can pop it up, pop it up on the on the war room site.
00:20:50.000 Yeah.
00:20:51.000 It came out last week.
00:20:52.000 Because they've been threatening this.
00:20:55.000 They've been threatening that this is the way they're going to bring down wage inflation is by immigration, illegal immigration.
00:21:01.000 So they're pulling it off now.
00:21:02.000 Yeah.
00:21:03.000 What's your overall assessment?
00:21:04.000 What's your overall assessment of the economy going forward?
00:21:07.000 They're going to paint a very rosy picture tonight.
00:21:09.000 What is Dr. Navarro's assessment?
00:21:10.000 I think I think we're going to enter into kind of the Japanese like twilight of kind of stagnation, slow growth for a lot of reasons.
00:21:24.000 But part of it's going to be the problem we're having with the debt, right?
00:21:29.000 If you had that clip from Kevin McCarthy, who was quite eloquent.
00:21:33.000 He didn't mention the illegal immigration part.
00:21:35.000 I wish he would.
00:21:36.000 I wish somebody tonight would point that on the Capitol Hill note to Congress.
00:21:40.000 But he was eloquent about saying how the bigger the debt, the more interest we have to pay.
00:21:47.000 And all that money comes from taxpayers.
00:21:49.000 And the more you pay for service on the debt, the less you have for everything else.
00:21:53.000 And so that's what happened to Japan.
00:21:55.000 They just kept increasing their debt.
00:21:58.000 The debt to GDP ratio kept going up.
00:22:00.000 And eventually you can't grow.
00:22:03.000 OK, one of the drivers of your economy just isn't hitting on all cylinders.
00:22:08.000 And that's kind of that's kind of where we're headed.
00:22:12.000 So your point is this is going to be like the lost decade or now it's been the lost 30 years.
00:22:19.000 Correct.
00:22:20.000 That Japan had in the 1990s where you have you have low growth, high debt.
00:22:24.000 McCarthy did say at the beginning of his speech yesterday, $8 trillion over the 10 year budget plan.
00:22:30.000 I think it's over $8 trillion just in interest payments.
00:22:33.000 A crushing burden.
00:22:35.000 I think Joe Biden's going to get in McCarthy's and the Republicans' face tonight about the debt limit
00:22:44.000 and kind of dare them on that and get in their face.
00:22:47.000 But the reality is if the Republicans don't hold fast on that, Steve, and get legitimate cutbacks,
00:22:55.000 takebacks, clawbacks from all that crap money the Democrats put in all those crap bills,
00:23:02.000 we're in deep, deep trouble, deep, deep trouble.
00:23:07.000 So the battle goes on.
00:23:10.000 Yeah, I would love what you do, Steve, because the posse understands this better than any audience of any show on this planet.
00:23:19.000 I'm serious, Steve.
00:23:20.000 They understand.
00:23:21.000 It's like I'm serious.
00:23:23.000 It's like, you know, when I've been away, everybody knows I've been away.
00:23:26.000 I'd listen to the worm every day, and I'd listen to other things, and consistently you had the receipts.
00:23:33.000 So kudos to you, Admiral.
00:23:35.000 Thank you.
00:23:36.000 Elitist Harvard guy, though you might be.
00:23:38.000 By the way, the posse understands this better than the guys on Wall Street right now.
00:23:45.000 By the way, I'm going to get you back on, and he's going to mention a tax on billionaires,
00:23:50.000 and he's going to mention increasing the tax on stock buybacks.
00:23:55.000 I know both of those are close to our hearts, Peter, because we might have run those up the flagpole too.
00:24:02.000 You and I were the only two people in 2017 who said, yeah, go ahead and tax Larry Fink.
00:24:09.000 I think that's a good idea, boss.
00:24:11.000 I mean, that 1% tax would have been a great part of that tax bill.
00:24:17.000 But, you know, you had Mnuchin and Cohen and those boys in there.
00:24:21.000 Take away carried interest.
00:24:24.000 I also want to get back to the Kochs.
00:24:28.000 It gets back to the point of the Kochs met this weekend, and the Kochs said they're going to put a billion dollars,
00:24:33.000 whatever it takes, to defeat MAGA, to defeat the deplorables, and their champion, Donald J. Trump.
00:24:40.000 What's your assessment?
00:24:41.000 Because this gets back to the billionaire tax and to the stop the financial engineering nonsense around stock buybacks.
00:24:46.000 Go ahead, sir.
00:24:48.000 Look, that's a long story.
00:24:51.000 I resuscitated my Taking Back Trump's America podcast.
00:24:55.000 I'm going to have an episode out on the Apple podcast today on that.
00:24:59.000 But the short note is the Koch brothers, one of them is dead now, formed this Koch network,
00:25:06.000 which is an elaborate conservative fundraising machine.
00:25:10.000 And they basically spend money funding globalist candidates who love tax cuts and deregulation,
00:25:17.000 but who hate secure borders and fair trade.
00:25:21.000 And the Kochs were famous for wanting to offshore our jobs and open up our borders for cheap labor.
00:25:27.000 So what they're doing now, and let's do a longer segment on this later in the week or next week,
00:25:34.000 what they're doing now is giving money out to the Pence.
00:25:39.000 They'll try to give it to Sanders.
00:25:41.000 I hope he won't take it.
00:25:42.000 They're going to give it to Nicky Haley.
00:25:44.000 Chris Christie will be on his knees like a running dog, like he usually is.
00:25:49.000 He should wear knee pads.
00:25:51.000 That guy's on his knees so much.
00:25:53.000 And he'll be taking that money.
00:25:55.000 And the whole money will be spent trying to trash not just Donald Trump, but MAGA.
00:26:01.000 Okay?
00:26:02.000 They are trying to bury MAGA, Steve.
00:26:04.000 Okay?
00:26:05.000 MAGA.
00:26:06.000 And next week, by the way, I told you, that documentary miniseries on the red wave that never was
00:26:12.000 and why MAGA is important is going to be out, and I'm going to give you the first crack on debuting that.
00:26:18.000 Perfect.
00:26:19.000 So we've got a lot to talk about, brother.
00:26:20.000 Exclusive.
00:26:21.000 Okay.
00:26:22.000 And, you know.
00:26:23.000 How do people follow you on social media?
00:26:27.000 Where do they go?
00:26:29.000 Real P Navarro, Twitter and Getter, and you can go to defendpeter.com, defendpeter.com,
00:26:36.000 if you want to help with the legal defense, which, unfortunately, I have to worry about.
00:26:41.000 Okay, sir.
00:26:42.000 We'll come back to you.
00:26:43.000 Thank you very much for joining us today.
00:26:44.000 All right, potty.
00:26:45.000 Camera, no camera.
00:26:46.000 Take care, my man.
00:26:48.000 They're excited about having you, but they want to see a full picture.
00:26:51.000 They want to see a gun show.
00:26:52.000 I've got a face.
00:26:53.000 Let's toss.
00:26:54.000 I've got a good face for podcasts.
00:26:55.000 You know what I'm saying?
00:26:57.000 Yes.
00:26:58.000 Can we toss?
00:26:59.000 I don't have to shave.
00:27:01.000 My hair's down and my butt, you know.
00:27:03.000 I just, it's best.
00:27:04.000 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:27:05.000 It's great.
00:27:06.000 It's a great beard.
00:27:07.000 Nobody can see me now.
00:27:08.000 You know what I'm saying?
00:27:09.000 Okay.
00:27:10.000 And the band in 20, forget that.
00:27:11.000 Oh, you're so bad.
00:27:12.000 My camera.
00:27:13.000 My camera's not working.
00:27:14.000 Okay, sir.
00:27:15.000 Thank you.
00:27:16.000 Let's toss.
00:27:17.000 We had the weaponization press conference.
00:27:18.000 We're going to go out with the weaponization.
00:27:20.000 There's a presser right now on the weaponization committee.
00:27:22.000 Let's hit that.
00:27:23.000 We're going to go to break.
00:27:24.000 Mike Howe and Ben Harnwell when we come back.
00:27:26.000 Let's go ahead and see what they're saying.
00:27:29.000 In schools where only union bosses thrive.
00:27:32.000 Freedom as a parent from being targeted by a federal government or counsel for advocating
00:27:36.000 for their children's education.
00:27:38.000 Freedom to choose a school that's best to fit the students' needs.
00:27:42.000 A choice made by parents who love their children, supported by teachers who love their profession.
00:27:48.000 Freedom is a commitment from the Republican House majority.
00:27:51.000 With an educated, engaged, we the people, and guidance from a loving Heavenly Father, we
00:27:57.000 will keep our promise.
00:27:59.000 Thank you and I yield to my good friend, Jim Jordan.
00:28:06.000 We've had now dozens of whistleblowers come talk to House Republican staff on the Judiciary
00:28:11.000 Committee.
00:28:12.000 In fact, one of them is testifying in a transcribed interview as we speak, talking about how the
00:28:17.000 Justice Department is now operating in such a political fashion and manner.
00:28:23.000 Second.
00:28:24.000 Friends, you have to be blind not to see what's going on around the world.
00:28:28.000 We're facing worldwide chaos on a whole new level.
00:28:31.000 And it could all hit home really quickly in the form of food shortages.
00:28:36.000 Not to mention sky high prices for basic groceries.
00:28:39.000 That's why so many people are stocking up on emergency food right now.
00:28:44.000 This food stays fresh in long-term storage, so it's ready when you need it.
00:28:48.000 My Patriot Supply is the nation's largest preparedness company.

00:29:41.000 Take action.
00:29:42.000 Do it today.
00:29:43.000 The nation watched just this week as he failed to stand up to our number one adversary, China,
00:29:49.000 while they collected intelligence across the entire continental United States.
00:29:54.000 These are just a few of the numerous failings of his administration.
00:29:58.000 There are unfortunately far too many to count.
00:30:01.000 No amount of spin this evening will change the reality so many Americans are facing.
00:30:07.000 They are worse off now than they were two years ago.
00:30:10.000 That is a fact.
00:30:12.000 Luckily, Americans elected a Republican House majority to stop this madness.
00:30:17.000 House Republicans are laser focused on delivering results, if you've heard from these members today.
00:30:23.000 And we're bringing Joe Biden and Senate Democrats, if they choose, along with us as we put an end to radical policies that govern and as we govern for, as Chairman Smith said, as we govern for the American people.
00:30:38.000 And with that, I turn it over to our majority leader, Steve Scalise from Louisiana.
00:30:45.000 Thank you, Whip, Emmer.
00:30:47.000 The state of our union is struggling under the weight of President Biden's far left extremist agenda that is hurting families across this country.
00:30:57.000 You can see it when people go to the gas station and pay 40 percent more to fill up their cars.
00:31:04.000 It's not just at the pump.
00:31:06.000 Their household electricity bills are through the roof.
00:31:08.000 When they go to the grocery store, they're paying dramatically.
00:31:10.000 Okay, we're going to dip back into it.
00:31:12.000 We're going to dip back into it.
00:31:13.000 This is a pre-bottle.
00:31:14.000 You've got the Weaponization Committee, you've got all the committees.
00:31:17.000 By the way, we have our own Natalie Winters is all over this.
00:31:20.000 We've got a schedule, maybe a little bit this afternoon, the afternoon shows, but then tomorrow, as we do these shows now, as all these hearings start to take place, we're going to be dipping in and out of all of them so you can get the best coverage.
00:31:32.000 Let me go to Mike Howe of Heritage.
00:31:36.000 Mike, the Oversight Project at Heritage.
00:31:39.000 Give us your assessment.
00:31:40.000 By the way, Mike has been going around to different places, giving talks, and he gave a talk the other day down in North Carolina, and I heard nothing but rave reviews about that, Mike.
00:31:49.000 So your roadshow, make sure Dr. Kevin Roberts knows your roadshow is working.
00:31:54.000 You're showing the flag for heritage very strongly.
00:31:56.000 People are really pumped up.
00:31:58.000 Give us your assessment over at the Oversight Project of Biden's State of the Union, what's going to be said tonight, and what you guys would do in a pre-bottle, sir.
00:32:08.000 I think the key point to stress here is we're living in a period of peak American corruption, and I mean that in multiple ways, both quantifiable and quantifiable.
00:32:17.000 We have three massive legislative packages that passed the American Rescue Plan, the transportation boondoggle for infrastructure, and then the Inflation Reduction Act, which obviously had nothing to do with inflation.
00:32:30.000 We're talking trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars that are basically robbed from the middle class and handed out to coastal elites and special interests on the left.
00:32:39.000 This is the largest scale of money that's ever been transferred in our country, and frankly, it goes from red states into blue interest.
00:32:45.000 And they're doing it and saying it's major legislative packages.
00:32:49.000 It's not. It's just moving money around.
00:32:51.000 And so this is a Congress that should be an oversight Congress.
00:32:54.000 It should be focused on tracking that massive amount of money.
00:32:57.000 And then also on the qualifiable end, we have the president who is dead to rights in a corrupt pay-to-play scheme and compromised beyond all measure.
00:33:06.000 And you have it just sitting so obviously for the American people to see through the hideous behavior of Hunter Biden and trading on political favors in his corrupt interests that are around the world.
00:33:16.000 Primarily, we're seeing a lot of it in the Ukraine context, which obviously connects to this whole classified document scandal we're in right now.
00:33:22.000 So this Congress should be day in, day out fighting all this corruption to be speaking of it in such terms.
00:33:28.000 Mike, if you just do the back of the envelope, and I love the way that you've racked up the billiard balls right there.
00:33:38.000 You've got the American Recovery Act. You've got the infrastructure booned out.
00:33:42.000 You've got the American Recovery Act that we said on the show was going to be inflationary.
00:33:44.000 It was turbocharged inflationary because you didn't need it at the time.
00:33:47.000 Aggregate demand was coming back.
00:33:49.000 This was a Keynesian, let's juice aggregate demand.
00:33:52.000 It was coming back.
00:33:53.000 We said the first day of the show.
00:33:54.000 Remember, people have been with us.
00:33:56.000 We talked about the collapse in aggregate demand and supply chain problems that President Trump was going to have to do something.
00:34:01.000 He did do something, right?
00:34:02.000 And then they fought and didn't do the second phase.
00:34:05.000 So that was American Recovery Act, get the infrastructure complete boondoggle.
00:34:09.000 Then you've got the Build Back Better.
00:34:11.000 That's what they call the Inflation Reduction Act, total lie, right?
00:34:15.000 It's a mini Build Back Better they could get passed through.
00:34:18.000 Then you add on top of the omnibus of $1.7 trillion.
00:34:22.000 Back of the envelope, that's $6 to $7 trillion.
00:34:25.000 I think $6 to $7 trillion of spending.
00:34:27.000 This is why this debt ceiling, the scale of this is mind boggling.
00:34:33.000 As much as the country's finances have been mismanaged, this is just gross recklessness.
00:34:39.000 Is it not, Mike?
00:34:40.000 Because now this is why we're jammed against the wall and this is why adults have to step in and make the tough decisions, Mike Howe?
00:34:47.000 You're absolutely right.
00:34:48.000 And I'll add on that last one, the omnibus.
00:34:50.000 That was 18 Republicans in the Senate joining with the left to fund this government for another nine months.
00:34:56.000 The amounts we're mentioning are absolutely staggering.
00:34:59.000 It's a problem for the capacity of the House of Representatives and its staff to even begin to get their hands around where all this money went and who it went to.
00:35:07.000 And then you have to balance that against the other acts of corruption that are happening apart from this, namely the overrunning of our border on purpose by completely ripping out all border security policies from the Trump administration, inviting the world to rush the border, and making an absolute joke of our asylum laws, which are the laughing stock of the country.
00:35:27.000 And I'll say in the clip you played before I came on, I liked what leadership was saying about being laser focused.
00:35:33.000 But what I would like instead of hearing is to see some things happen.
00:35:37.000 And what I'm talking about particularly is the immediate impeachment of Alejandro Mayorkas.
00:35:42.000 If opening up the border on purpose to five million plus legal aliens and the death, drugs and crime that come along with it, is it an impeachable offense?
00:35:49.000 I don't know what is, Steve.
00:35:51.000 And then we got to talk about the legislative front.
00:35:53.000 I'm really frustrated to report that today a coalition of the entire Trump border security and immigration former officials and the strongest immigration groups that are out there sent this letter I have to Congress basically saying, hey, now's the time to act on the legislative front.
00:36:08.000 We all went out and talked about the border crisis ending if the majority shifted.
00:36:14.000 What are we waiting for?
00:36:15.000 And instead, there are a handful of members that are running to the Washington Post to say they oppose common sense border security measures and will be roadblocks.
00:36:24.000 And on the same time, you have the Border Patrol Union, who regularly appears on conservative shows and media who are pushing amnesty trades in the lame duck session of last year.
00:36:35.000 And so I want to hear less talking and more action.
00:36:39.000 We could do this today if we wanted to in terms of legislative packages and starting the impeachment process.
00:36:45.000 The border is on fire.
00:36:47.000 Let's put it out.
00:36:48.000 No need to wait.
00:36:50.000 You know, we had Navarro on.
00:36:53.000 He did this analysis.
00:36:54.000 And they've been talking about this.
00:36:55.000 So how they're going to bring down inflation is flood the zone with the illegal alien labor and bring it down that way.
00:37:01.000 That way he found out in this latest report, they're talking about a million, one million of the illegals come across are now in the labor force.
00:37:08.000 And that's one of the reasons of putting pressure on wages.
00:37:10.000 How and as far as priorities go, do you think it takes the eye off the ball of what we have to do with passing legislation, getting on top of this, fighting these guys tooth and nail?
00:37:21.000 Is the impeachment of Mayorkas absolutely central to the argument we're making because it puts it forward to the American people?
00:37:28.000 Or do you think that's a distraction as a lot of the immigration doves and weaklings on the Republican side are saying, sir?
00:37:38.000 Yeah, I don't think it's a distraction at all.
00:37:40.000 In fact, I think the American people and the voters deserve to know if those who use the rhetoric on the campaign trail that they will end the border crisis actually mean it.
00:37:49.000 And so if it takes an impeachment process or legislation getting to the floor where people actually have to vote yes or no, the American people deserve to know who they're saying to Congress and what they're actually for.
00:37:59.000 And so that would be a great service to the country.
00:38:02.000 The impeachment of Alejandro Mayorkas would make our border crisis a kitchen table issue, which it already is, but in the living rooms and TV sets across the country so people can really understand why the left is so committed to the mass importation of illegal aliens into this country.
00:38:18.000 And it's not that complicated, Steve, you know this very well.
00:38:21.000 Yesterday, the House voted on a resolution about illegal aliens and the ability to vote in our elections.
00:38:27.000 And this is something that the White House came out in favor of.
00:38:30.000 They want illegals to vote.
00:38:31.000 This is the purpose of the whole mass illegal immigration program.
00:38:35.000 And we've got to end it.
00:38:36.000 It's so costly to our country.
00:38:38.000 And in every single layer of our safety, our sovereignty, our security, our school system, our health care, it's a disaster.
00:38:44.000 And it's frankly beneath the dignity of this country to be such a laughingstock of these open borders.
00:38:50.000 By the way, we had Andrew Clyde on from Georgia 9 yesterday talking about the home rule and the situation in D.C.
00:38:57.000 In D.C., as bad as it is and getting worse on crime, they're now trying to force illegal aliens to actually vote in your nation's capital.
00:39:05.000 Before I let you go, Mike, because, you know, you become an audience favorite.
00:39:09.000 We're going to have Richard Stern on today.
00:39:11.000 Dr. Kevin Roberts was good enough to let us get access to Stern and the but the economist, but also doing the budget.
00:39:16.000 People want to know as as they're putting together the appropriations and we're doing regular order.
00:39:21.000 So it's not going to be any more omnibuses.
00:39:23.000 McCarthy promises that it's heritage.
00:39:26.000 Are you guys getting dialed in?
00:39:28.000 Because you brought up in that first incredible report you did here about all these NGOs that are exacerbating the invasion of the southern border.
00:39:36.000 I think you identified 35, but you said, hey, it's a lot more than that in the federal budget.
00:39:40.000 Are people getting in and working with the appropriators to make sure that we got all of this money going to NGOs, all this money going to left wing groups that are that is just replete in the federal budget that taxpayers that Mag is paying for?
00:39:54.000 Are you guys having your voice heard or you have a plan to make sure you assist the staffs of the committees and the congressional staffs to make sure it's everything's identified and it's all gotten out?
00:40:05.000 Yeah, we absolutely are.
00:40:07.000 In fact, I'm coming directly from Capitol Hill for such meetings with members.
00:40:11.000 We're zeroing in on specific items that they can cut on these.
00:40:15.000 And my colleague, Richard Stern, who will be on later, has done a lot of work in packaging up all these line items that can be cut and snipped away.
00:40:22.000 And particularly with regards to waste in the defense budget, Dr. Kevin Roberts wrote a big op ed on this last week where he basically said conservatives, if we're going to be serious about waste and the growth of government spending, we've got to look at the defense budget.
00:40:34.000 But the answer to your question is, yes, there's going to be no excuse for the House not to make these cuts because we're going to put it out there and we're going to pinpoint them right to it.
00:40:44.000 No, we had Kevin on Dr. Roberts last week on that, and the audience loved it.
00:40:49.000 We're going to – you can't have these radical Marxists sit there and go, we can't cut social plans because you want 10 percent increases in the defense budget.
00:40:56.280 No.
00:40:56.860 We're saying, hey, there's logical ways to cut the defense budget and actually be stronger because you're taking out commitments.
00:41:02.800 And some of these technologies are not working out, some old technologies.
00:41:07.680 Mike, how do they get to your oversight project?
00:41:09.920 Because now, obviously, with all the committee hearings starting, everything going on, and people should know there's tons and tons of work going on in the background right now, doing depositions on these committees, getting ready for these committees.
00:41:21.600 The appropriators are all working on these – on the appropriations and the budget for this year.
00:41:26.400 So the House right now are chopping wood, but you've always got to keep them focused.
00:41:30.960 And, Mike, what I like is the time for talk is over.
00:41:33.040 I'm glad they're doing the pre-bottal, but you've got to get into action.
00:41:35.820 The action is legislating or gutting these programs right now as we get into the appropriations process.
00:41:41.300 So how do people keep up with everything you guys are doing over Heritage?
00:41:45.140 Right.
00:41:45.520 Best ways, check sat at heritage.org.
00:41:47.840 And then on Twitter, at Heritage, same for Getter, and I'm at mhowtweets.
00:41:52.000 Please stay tuned because my team is filing complaints right now, lawsuits to be filed against the FBI.
00:41:57.640 We're going to unleash a flurry of those and get ahead of this work and see them in court for a lot of the issues we've been talking about over the previous few months.
00:42:06.600 Wow.
00:42:07.060 We look forward to having you back on that.
00:42:09.080 Thank you, Mike Howe, head of the Oversight Project over at Heritage.
00:42:12.600 I've got to tell you, these guys are on fire over there.
00:42:14.080 Thank you so much, sir.
00:42:14.900 Appreciate it.
00:42:15.980 Thanks, Steve.
00:42:16.420 If you go over to his site, too, and find out what his speaking schedule is, the folks down in Pinehurst really was fantastic.
00:42:25.780 I think Kevin talked for over an hour, hour and a half, took Q&A.
00:42:28.900 People were just really amazed, got to ask detailed questions, et cetera.
00:42:32.620 So we want to make sure that everybody, all the contributors on the show, that you get full access to them.
00:42:38.980 By the way, that's what we're really very excited about, CPAC, back in the nation's capital over at National Harbor.

00:43:20.180 He's got some thoughts.
00:43:21.160 We got Ben Harnwell.

00:43:26.840 There is a cultural festival, music festival in Italy that he beams in like he does with the Golden Globes, all that.
00:43:35.320 They said, thanks, but no thanks.
00:43:36.660 Not interested.
00:43:37.500 We've kind of moved on.
00:43:39.160 Also, Dave Bratt on the underlying reality of the employment numbers.

00:45:27.740 There's a couple of blockbusters out of this presser.
00:45:36.540 It was supposed to be a weaponization committee, but it broadened out a little bit from this.
00:45:39.260 By the way, Stephen K. Bannon here in the war room.
00:45:43.320 And people understand just going forward, we are going to be dipping in and out of these as we go.
00:45:48.880 You go forward.
00:45:50.080 I think enough of these are going to be going simultaneously.
00:45:52.020 I hope it's a little bit like the first weekend of March Madness, where you can come in and out of these and we can give you updates.
00:45:57.540 Natalie Winters is going to give us an update at the top of the hour.
00:46:00.780 A quick update.
00:46:01.940 A couple of bombshells.
00:46:03.260 Let me give you the buried lead on what we just now know.
00:46:07.200 And ladies and gentlemen, I do, you know, I don't call it bragging, but I told you that one of the most important things was to get back here and have briefings on the day.
00:46:19.740 Remember, forget everything else about the Chinese spy airship, our new official term, and weapons platform.
00:46:29.760 Okay.
00:46:31.160 Just remember the timeline.
00:46:32.900 And they're going to want to avoid this.
00:46:34.420 They're going to want to avoid getting into a room and talking about the 28th and off the Aleutian Islands and even monitoring from mainland China.
00:46:41.640 And they don't want to talk about those, the 28th, the 29th, the 30th, the 31st, the first, those five days up until they got to the second.
00:46:52.820 Now, in this presser, and Natalie Winters has been watching it.
00:46:56.060 She's going to join us top of the hour.
00:46:57.460 She says that Scalise just said they have not briefed the gang of eight.
00:47:02.180 Remember, the gang of eight are the heads of intel, the minority majority leaders, the eight senior people in the House and Senate that have the highest security clearances.
00:47:10.380 They have not, Scalise said they have still waiting to, you got to brief those guys before then you brief the general house.
00:47:17.300 They do not want the word out there.
00:47:20.060 If they had good news and a good narrative about this, they would have briefed him on Sunday.
00:47:25.400 Okay.
00:47:25.900 Or had already fly back and briefed him yesterday.
00:47:29.020 Let me repeat this.
00:47:30.960 And you won't get this down in the media because here's why.
00:47:34.740 Until they tell us what Biden knew and when he knew it.
00:47:38.540 I don't want to hear about that, the bald-faced lie they said to Don Lemon this morning, it's a bald-faced lie, a bald-faced lie.
00:47:45.980 And now we know they're slow walking.
00:47:48.140 Why have they not briefed the gang of eight already on the highest intelligence?
00:47:53.100 What is McCarthy doing?
00:47:54.380 Come on.
00:47:55.260 Light these guys up.
00:47:56.400 You should have been in front of the microphone hammer this day.
00:47:58.140 Where is the briefing before the state?
00:48:00.260 Cancel the State of the Union.
00:48:01.460 State of the Union is just something.
00:48:02.440 Remember, for 100 years, they just sent it over and a clerk read it.
00:48:06.600 That's what I get back to.
00:48:07.760 Just send it over and let the clerk stand up and read it.
00:48:10.920 Heck, they had guys like Jefferson and Lincoln, some pretty impressive people, knew how to write a speech.
00:48:16.100 Got it.
00:48:17.040 They sent it over and had the clerk read it.
00:48:19.040 So I don't need stumbling Joe Biden from the University of Delaware, a blue hen or whatever they are.
00:48:25.420 Right?
00:48:26.300 Got no problem with the University of Delaware.
00:48:28.980 Captain Bannon took him on in volleyball and beat him.
00:48:31.600 Had a pretty good team.
00:48:32.420 Nice campus.
00:48:35.220 Good folks.
00:48:36.560 Unfortunately, associated with the compromise scumbag owned by the CCP, fake, illegitimate guy hanging out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, head of the Biden crime family.
00:48:48.400 But besides that, it's a great place.
00:48:50.700 Right?
00:48:51.700 So the buried lead there is that.
00:48:53.500 And then also Jordan drops another blockbuster.
00:48:56.660 You know what?
00:48:57.260 I'm going to let Natalie do that because she's in hair and makeup right now and getting the famous hair and makeup of the war room.
00:49:05.120 Gonzo journalism at its best.
00:49:08.520 Let me go to – I got Brett.
00:49:10.880 I'm going to get Joe Reek.
00:49:11.660 I got to go to Harnwell.
00:49:12.780 Harnwell, and I need you to stick around the second hour.
00:49:15.520 I got to get more of you on this.
00:49:16.580 But a buried lead coming out of Italy, Zelensky, the poison dwarf who comes in and lies about everything and misleads about everything and is all bombast, right, and is leading his people down a path of total destruction.
00:49:31.540 Read the New York Times this morning.
00:49:32.800 All the sites that follow this, the 12 points of attack by the Russian army outside of Bakhmut is absolutely horrible, and the photos are incredible.
00:49:41.700 I mean, just they shelled.
00:49:43.520 They've got 200,000 new conscripts.
00:49:45.900 You know, we were told they were close to defeat where they got a 200,000-man new army that's just pounding, quite frankly, the poor Ukrainians back to the Stone Age.
00:49:56.000 The people – it's just unbelievable.
00:49:57.600 Of course, Zelensky's got it going.
00:49:58.760 Now his defense minister saying, I ain't going anywhere.
00:50:02.620 They're saying he's got to go.
00:50:03.460 He's full of corruption.
00:50:04.340 They're going to find all the money stole from the Americans, so he's got to get rid of him.
00:50:07.680 But in Italy, he was supposed to beam in like he does for the Oscars, like he does for the Golden Globes, like he does for everything.
00:50:13.580 And the Italians said thanks, but no thanks.
00:50:15.420 Is that correct, Ben Harnwell?
00:50:18.120 Yeah.
00:50:18.680 They said no grazie.
00:50:19.980 Well, basically, for the American audience, the festival we're talking about is the Sanremo Musical Festival, which is the oldest national festival.
00:50:28.760 annual music, televised music competition in the world.
00:50:32.080 This year, they're celebrating their 73rd run.
00:50:35.540 And to put it into context, it's like the Oscars for the U.S. audience, but probably even more present.
00:50:43.600 I'd say 90% of domestic Italian households will have the TV on Sanremo throughout the week.
00:50:52.700 It starts today and it will finish on Saturday, on the 11th.
00:50:57.720 So it's a big, it's the most important cultural event in television in Italy by a long way.
00:51:04.660 If folks have heard of the European, the Eurovision Song Contest, that's modelled on Sanremo.
00:51:09.600 So what has happened over recent weeks, Steve, is that one of Italy's most famous television presenters, Bruno Vespa, was pushing out that, you know, they've got the big star of the moment.
00:51:23.060 He'll be beaming in, Vladimir Zelensky, hushed tones at the mention of his name.
00:51:28.040 And there was all this momentum behind it.
00:51:30.880 And then, of course, really interesting, considering the political situation of Italy, which is you can't really put a cigarette paper between Georgia Maloney and Boris Johnson on the absolute gung-ho pro-Ukraine at all costs.
00:51:48.120 But the Italian people aren't really there behind that position.
00:51:52.900 And I don't think that was visible until what we saw, because even if Rai, which is basically the Italian equivalent of the BBC, had been saying, oh, we're in daily contact with Zelensky's office to negotiate the details.
00:52:09.700 Well, what happened?
00:52:10.220 It emerged that he was disinvited.
00:52:12.580 And I would basically – I was going to say, Steve, that this was an example of war fatigue, but it's not really.
00:52:20.120 I think it's Zelensky fatigue.
00:52:22.140 I think people are just bored now of the constant intrusion into their lives with his endless pleading and begging.
00:52:32.160 I'm going to give away for the adverts, and then I'll come back afterwards.
00:52:34.280 Yeah, hang on one second.
00:52:36.680 We're going to take a 90-second break.
00:52:39.160 The second hour is before us.
00:52:41.220 We're going to get Natalie out of hair and makeup.
