Trump's lawyer Andrew Weissmann delivers a blistering defense for his client, Donald Trump Jr. in the Michael Cohen trial in federal court in Manhattan, New York City. President Trump delivers an impassioned plea of support for his friend and former business partner, Michael Cohen.
00:02:27.080I am disappointed in looking at the Americans, supposedly American citizens in that courtroom that the D.A. comes in and he acts like it is his Super Bowl.
00:05:32.680And the prosecution has yet to rebuild Cohen's credibility.
00:05:36.360They've asked Cohen all different kinds of questions with regard to his relationship with President Trump,
00:05:41.160what he did for President Trump, all different things regarding the alleged repayment of Karen McDougal,
00:05:49.280the Playboy Playmate, all different things regarding the repayment for Stormy Daniels.
00:05:55.020They tried to back it up with text messages, with call logs.
00:06:00.040But the thing that we've seen so far up until this point, Steve, is that it still relies on the word of Michael Cohen connecting Donald Trump to these alleged repayments at this point.
00:06:14.100Also, a couple notes here, and a colleague pointed this out, and I thought it was very, very, very, very good.
00:06:19.000I mentioned to you this morning that President Trump was recorded by Michael Cohen on a voice memo.
00:06:25.440That President Trump did not know about Michael Cohen coming into his office regarding the $150,000 payment to Karen McDougal.
00:06:33.520That would certainly be a violation of the attorney-client privilege.
00:06:37.280But even with that being said, that voice memo did not actually, in my opinion, have anything incriminating on there.
00:06:46.460But President Trump didn't seem to say anything that in any way would have incriminated him.
00:06:52.580On top of this, the alleged questioning was something that the statute of limitations had expired on, and it was an underlying misdemeanor.
00:07:02.220Later this afternoon, Mr. Cohen presented, the district attorney presented a piece of evidence that Michael Cohen claimed.
00:07:08.700Alan Weisselberg wrote saying that he was going to gross up his repayment to Michael Cohen to $360,000 because Cohen was owed $180,000.
00:07:19.180Think about the taxes that would be taken out there.
00:07:21.700Cohen says that that's from Weisselberg.
00:07:23.840But again, it depends on the word of convicted felon, perjurer to Congress, and serial liar Michael Cohen.
00:07:32.460And right now, the prosecution has not done anything to show any evidence where Cohen is not the linchpin.
00:07:40.820Cohen's word is not the linchpin in this entire case.
00:07:44.800Andrew, talk to us about Tommy Tuberville.
00:07:46.900J.D. Vance and Tommy Tuberville came to the sticks afterwards to make some comments.
00:07:53.900J.D. went through the logical deconstruction of this bogus case.
00:07:59.340Tell me, Senator Tuberville took a very different direction and talked about the psychological warfare against President Trump in this dingy courtroom, the lack of respect, kind of the arrogance of the prosecutor.
00:08:14.120Yeah, I made a note on exactly what Senator Tuberville ended up saying at the sticks, as a matter of fact, earlier this morning.
00:08:19.840I had noticed that every time that Mershon greets President Trump, good morning, Mr. Trump, Todd Blanche ends up saying, before Mershon comes out as they are making the introductions, saying who they are representing, Todd Blanche, Emile Beauvais, Susan Nicholas, attorneys for President Trump.
00:08:39.320Mershon responds by saying, good morning, good morning, Mr. Trump.
00:08:42.640And to me, it's the exact point that Tommy Tuberville is making.
00:08:47.320It's a backhanded slap at President Trump.
00:08:50.040It's a backhanded slap at the tens of millions of people that elected President Trump.
00:08:55.340And sadly, it's in line, I believe, with Mershon and his family, how they have profited, how his family has profited.
00:09:02.640His daughter making over $90 million for the consulting firm off of Democratic candidates and PACs, including Kamala Harris, $37 million from Adam Schiff and from Joe Biden as well.
00:09:16.760So I think that's a great point by Tommy Tuberville.
00:09:19.280Do you see Bragg in this crowd, Colangelo?
00:09:24.840Are they circling around the crime now?
00:09:26.920Are they trying to narrow it down on Cohen's testimony about exactly what they're going to focus on as far as election interference goes in the 2016?
00:09:38.180Because this is like the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard.
00:09:40.220But do you see some sort of strategy from the prosecution here?
00:09:45.040And you heard a couple of different times this afternoon Michael Cohen saying the reason why this was repaid was because there was a presidential election coming up.
00:09:55.960So you can see that that's exactly what they're trying to do.
00:09:59.000They're trying to make that connection.
00:10:00.440They're trying to say that there was election interference here.
00:10:04.520And the payment would not have been made without that.
00:10:06.840Now, that goes in contrast to Pecker's testimony, David Pecker, who ended up saying that they had done this for hundreds of celebrities.
00:10:14.480Right. Talking about celebrity, not talking about anything with politics.
00:10:18.100It goes in contrast with Hope Hicks, who said that this would have been embarrassing for the Trump family.
00:10:24.440Talking about how President Trump's motive of the alleged payment was actually family and keeping them out of the press and keeping himself out of the press because it would be embarrassing.
00:10:34.300Michael Cohen is obviously trying to say that the reason why the motive for President Trump making this payment was because of the presidency.
00:10:42.120In terms of Alvin Bragg, he has been in the courtroom this morning.
00:11:12.260President Trump, court is out on Wednesday.
00:11:14.260President Trump is going to his son's barons graduation, I think, on Friday.
00:11:19.840Do you think the prosecution keeps going up tomorrow and Thursday?
00:11:23.920Is it another two days of testimony by the prosecution to lay out their case?
00:11:28.220Mershon actually asked the prosecution that as we were leaving, the prosecution said that we will probably go into it some point tomorrow.
00:11:37.240That's what they said. At some point tomorrow, questioning will likely wrap up.
00:11:41.940Doesn't mean it's a commitment that it will, but it will likely wrap up, at which point the Trump defense team will then start questioning Michael Cohen.
00:11:49.640So that could happen at some point tomorrow, late morning, could be late after, could be in the afternoon.
00:11:55.320It could be until Thursday when the defense gets the opportunity to cross-examine.
00:12:00.660But, Steve, you probably know this as well as I do.
00:12:05.660I wonder just how many documents are going to be presented by the defense team showing Michael Cohen had lied in the past.
00:12:14.580I can imagine this could be a very, very long cross-examination just because I think it's very important that the defense shows the jury that Michael Cohen had been caught in so many lies in the past.
00:12:27.740It'll be very interesting to see if Judge Mershon tries to move that along or allows the defense to continue to present all the different lies that Michael Cohen caught himself in.
00:12:38.640Well, it's also your point that they haven't tried to build up his credibility at all in front of the jury.
00:12:44.440They're just starting cold with the facts. That's what I find quite interesting.
00:12:47.840And if they're telling the judge they may wrap up tomorrow before the Wednesday or before the Tuesday evening court break that doesn't come back to Thursday, I find that pretty surprising.
00:12:59.040Since this guy's the linchpin, I don't believe they're calling Miss December the playmate bunny.
00:13:05.200I think they've already said they probably are not going to call her.
00:13:07.920With only two days up of Cohen, I'm kind of shocked by that, and particularly the fact that they haven't tried to rehabilitate this guy from what people think is a—
00:13:16.940Now, they will get a chance after the cross-examination. Any thoughts on that before we bounce, Andrew?
00:13:23.300Yeah, you're right. Karen McDougal won't be called. I think it may just be an impossible task.
00:13:27.960Again, Cohen, just a few short days ago on his podcast, had a white shirt of President Trump behind bars.
00:13:35.860And the judge, just on Friday, was begging with the prosecution to get Cohen to be quiet.
00:13:41.500The prosecution said they've reached out many times, and Cohen just won't listen to them.
00:13:46.000So the prosecution might just realize that it's an impossible task, and they may seem disingenuous to the jury trying to do that.
00:13:53.500So they may just be presenting Michael Cohen, warts and all, for what he is to the jury,
00:13:58.940and hoping that the jury is so biased going into this that they look beyond Michael Cohen, perjurer to the United States Congress.
00:14:08.780Andrew, where do we get you? What's all your touch points on social media?
00:14:12.820Yeah, at Andrew H. Giuliani. We're live tweeting. We're live truthing from the courtroom there,
00:14:18.640and we'll continue to do it here as this Trump show trial continues.
00:14:23.180We'll be there for the show trial tomorrow. Thank you, Andrew Giuliani.
00:14:27.960Okay, times of turbulence. You've got President Trump up in every poll.
00:14:31.580You've got President Trump up in every crosstab.
00:14:34.240You've got President Trump up with every demographic in all the battleground states.
00:14:38.460They're getting more and more desperate.
00:14:40.680Times of turbulence are upon us, particularly if you look forward for the next year,
00:14:44.820to the election, between the election and the inauguration day,
00:14:47.640and then the first hundred days of President Trump's second term.
00:14:51.140You know what a hedge against turbulence is? Gold.
00:14:54.040Birchgold.com. Slash Bannon. Go there today. Check it out.
00:15:00.260Can your savings weather an economic storm?
00:15:02.840Think about what you've put away for the future.
00:30:47.280The other night, I gave a speech, honored to give a speech in front of the Palm Beach Republican Club.
00:30:53.020And I think 80% of the audience were War Room Posse listeners.
00:30:58.180It was just incredible afterwards, the feedback on the show and how interested you guys are in the information and continue to put out information.
00:33:56.860We lay at the macro case here, but you've got to talk to people that know the details.
00:34:01.920Not just know the instruments, but know the microeconomics of it.
00:34:04.640So talk to Philip Patrick and the team, why gold has been a hedge for, I don't know, 8,000 years, 8,000 years, I think it is, of man's recorded history.
00:34:12.780Dr. Carol Swain, one of the smartest public intellectuals we have on the side.
00:34:18.980You're an Ivy leaguer and have had a firefight with the Ivy League.
00:34:22.000My question is, you're seeing right now, you're seeing the payback of having Marxist professors, Marxist faculty senates, Marxists that get tenured, these administrators that are even worse than Marxists combined with the Sharia supremacists to have a witch's bruise in these college campuses.
00:34:40.180They even walked out, poor Jerry Seinfeld tried to give a commencement at Duke, and I think, I don't know, 10 percent of the students walked out the pro-Palestinian, which is the most anti-American movement I've ever seen.
00:34:54.380Well, I mean, this revolution that we see playing out on the college campuses, it's been a long time coming.
00:35:01.380I think back to my Princeton years in the 1990s, when there was so much about critical theory and postmodernism and people talking about, you know, the critical race theory, we saw that all these theories during the Obama administration, that they literally took over the colleges and universities.
00:35:23.580And the parents that complained about critical race theory at DEI, they became aware in 2020, it was going on much longer than 2020, and what I saw gradually happen was that the conservative professors, they were either ousted or circumstances were made so difficult that many chose to leave.
00:35:45.860I believe I was among the ones that decided to take early retirement in 2017, I don't regret that, because I believe, being part of the war room, being part of this vast army, that I have far more influence in the world now than I would have had on that college campus where I was being stifled.
00:36:33.280Because if you can't get the intellectual integrity of these Ivy League universities, particularly at the highest levels, correct?
00:36:41.240Then you're not going to have a university.
00:36:43.360Well, first of all, my pursuit of academic integrity is bigger than Claudine Gay.
00:36:49.820I mean, she's just a pawn in something that's much larger.
00:36:54.080We know that all the college and universities, the major ones, have plagiarists on their faculty.
00:37:01.280Not all of them are racial and ethnic minorities, but quite a few that Chris Rufo has exposed are racial and ethnic minorities.
00:37:09.280And what's happening is that the colleges and university administrators are trying to make the argument that everyone plagiarizes, that it's common.
00:37:38.300Harvard University responded that the pleasurism of my work was fair use and that if I pursued it, it would be a frivolous lawsuit and I would have to pay court costs.
00:39:45.700Harvard University needs to be held accountable because they've done so much damage in the world and they don't seem to care about the anti-Semitism.
00:39:53.420And if you think back about Harvard's history, the quotas against Jews in the 1930s, you know, that sort of came out of Harvard.
00:40:01.820Harvard has always had a problem with anti-Semitism.
00:40:05.380And right now, they have just—the Marxism has taken over.
00:40:11.820If people care about Harvard and institutions of higher education, now is a moment that we can turn it around.
00:40:20.180And we are winning because it was announced today that the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, they're ending their DEI programs, and they're going to use the money for campus police.
00:40:32.960And I believe other places will—go ahead.
00:40:37.420University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, unanimous board of trustees, $2.5 million left in the pool for DEI.
00:40:44.580I said, hey, we're going to give this to public safety, campus safety, and no more DEI program.
00:40:55.640They took your original research, which is renowned, but technically that research did back in the 90s that changed so much.
00:41:03.260She took your original research and basically used it as her own and never mentioned you.
00:41:08.400How could they say that's fair use, Dr. Swain?
00:41:11.760They have not read my book, Black Faces, Black Interest, the Representation of African Americans in Congress.
00:41:18.540And what Claudine Gay did was basically frame her dissertation around ideas in my book, and she was trying to write a canter.
00:41:27.100And so there are about five places in her dissertation where she's drawing on my work and my ideas and not citing me.
00:41:37.340But I would argue that had it not been for my prize-winning book, Black Faces, Black Interest, the Representation of African Americans in Congress,
00:41:46.320cited three times by the Supreme Court, had a huge impact on the field of representation, she would not have been writing that dissertation.
00:41:53.480Her early work was based on my ideas, and some of the work she has the obligatory cite in the bibliography, but she did not acknowledge the work.
00:42:04.740And there's no way that the people at Harvard read my prize-winning book and her dissertation and would argue that, you know, it's fair use.
00:42:14.820What I think is that they just try to bully people.
00:42:17.720They never want to settle, but they run into the wrong Negro.
00:42:23.480First of all, can I hear the deplorables again?
00:42:27.300You just named Dr. Lowry Thomas Sowell.
00:42:30.280Who are the deplorables you just named?
00:42:54.280And most of the people that Claudine Gay plagiarized, I believe there are about 20, they all said it was okay, except one anonymous person and me.
00:50:15.840Always out there at the tip of the spear.
00:50:17.860Also does a ton of work behind the scenes to get all the newsletters and all of our great content out.
00:50:23.340Jane Zirkle, thank you so much. Appreciate it.

00:50:31.020He's going to be back on with Natalie at 6.
00:50:33.240I think they're going to talk about Foreign Policy Magazine has a big story about how
00:50:36.700the far right in the European parliamentary election in June being driven by, wait for it, young people.
00:50:44.140Hope they get to it tonight. If not, we'll tackle it tomorrow morning.
00:50:46.720Mike Lindell, we had Murderer's Row on this morning on Election Integrity.
00:50:51.020Rudy Giuliani, Dr. John Eastman, Mike Lindell.
