00:01:01.760 that we now have as a country. The people involved in bringing this case have been threatened and
00:01:06.840 intimidated and had everything brought to bear on against them in a way that was designed to
00:01:11.840 delegitimize this process in the eyes of the American people. It is now in the hands of the
00:01:16.600 American people to decide if we will accept those efforts or whether we will stand by the rule of law

00:01:25.280 but do you accept that he did have his day in court and it was a jury of his peers that made this

00:01:36.900 haven't said repeatedly, we were indicted for conduct that happened in 2015, 16, 17 in a jurisdiction

00:01:54.420 attorney has said repeatedly, said it today, this is a bread and butter case. We do this all the time.

00:04:18.500 over course of the day. I don't think there was a moment where we were like, hmm, something went wrong
00:04:23.260 there. There's something hinky in this trial. There's something that's been decided in a way that seems
00:04:28.240 very suspect or like, wow, that's going to get appealed and that'll blow this thing. It was
00:04:32.800 never a moment like that. And that was true with us not knowing what the result was going to be.
00:04:37.040 Exactly. And that is to have a non-results driven, honest broker, fair take on what's going on means
00:04:45.400 that you believe in the system and you're policing the system to make sure that it's fair, but you're
00:04:50.360 willing to accept it when it is, regardless of what the outcome is. Really, really got to me during
00:04:54.440 those oral arguments, which I felt was really shameful in some circumstances. Multiple
00:04:59.280 conservative justices basically saying, oh, come on, you can indict a ham sandwich that, you know,
00:05:04.480 isn't the rule of law just going to be used as its tool? And here you had, I thought, just a process
00:05:11.040 that was run with incredible integrity. And basically, I think that the kind of liberal democratic
00:05:20.140 order that we're trying to hold onto here rises or falls on our ability to agree to fair and neutral
00:05:26.380 processes that we're all subject to. That's democracy. It's a process-based system. You're
00:05:30.820 not guaranteed any outcome. Correct. You're guaranteed a fair process. That's exactly right.
00:05:34.400 And that's true in courts and that's true in elections. And what we are seeing in the Republican
00:05:38.780 Party is basically rejecting that notion that if you lose an election, the election is no longer
00:05:43.360 legitimate. If you're convicted at trial, then the system is no longer legitimate. It's rigged.
00:05:47.700 And this is a deeply held part of Donald Trump's personal view of the world. I mean,
00:05:52.280 he said it about the Emmys, right? It goes all the way back. It's not, and it's authentically
00:05:59.980 held, I think, in his own strange way. But it is now metastasized to take over the party. And
00:06:05.220 in some ways, when that is the party ethos, as we're seeing, you're kind of removing yourself
00:06:10.760 from the sort of consensual collaborative enterprise that we're all engaged in, in a liberal democratic
00:06:16.780 enterprise. The one good thing that happened here is that this case was brought in a state
00:06:23.600 that no Republican controls. Because if it did, the same thing that happened in Georgia would
00:06:30.080 have happened here. Thank God for the state of New York, Donald Trump's home state, because there
00:06:34.980 was no way for him to interfere with the process of justice. And in this rare instance, as somebody
00:06:42.180 who's quite critical many times of the criminal justice system, the system actually worked the
00:06:47.960 way it is supposed to work. And I agree with you. The one thing that would ruin this very rare moment
00:06:54.920 when we can all say the criminal justice system can actually see past your power and see past your

00:20:18.320 should do is issue a subpoena immediately for Lauren Michon, for her documents and for her
00:20:25.460 testimony, make her come in for a staff deposition and then put her ass in a chair in front of the
00:20:30.760 bright lights for a public hearing and make her explain how she's raising millions of dollars
00:20:36.800 off of this unprecedented criminal trial over which her father is presiding. Her father who made an
00:20:44.340 illegal campaign donation to president Biden that got her father reprimanded by the New York
00:20:51.380 judicial system several months ago, we just learned, but he still continued with this unprecedented trial,
00:20:58.060 even though he has a conflict of interest under New York statute, clear New York statute. That isn't just
00:21:04.560 me saying that a former federal Clinton judge from the Southern District of New York, New York City,
00:21:11.060 went on Caitlin Collins' show on CNN on April 5th and said Judge Michon had to recuse. He refused
00:21:17.460 to recuse. So Jim Jordan and the weaponization, weaponization committee needs, needs to issue a
00:21:23.620 subpoena today for Lauren Michon and for her documents and for, for Judge Michon's obvious
00:21:29.640 corruption. His daughter had a financial stake in this criminal prosecution. She's raising millions
00:21:36.600 of dollars. She gets a percentage of that as a Democrat consultant and fundraiser.
00:21:44.100 What, what, uh, get this clip from Richard, I don't want to play for that. What, what, um,
00:21:48.980 the probability of him, of doing home confinement, because home confinement, let's say, hey, we didn't put him in
00:21:53.980 prison in home confinement. He can't get on the, he can't get on the hustings. You think Mershon,
00:21:58.540 you think Mershon and the DA, that's where they're focused on. DA is going to ask for prison time
00:22:02.220 immediately. Are they not? Yeah, they, they will ask for prison time. And if you look at the New York
00:22:08.240 guidelines, it calls for prison time and they've already apparently reportedly had meetings between
00:22:14.360 the secret service and the New York, uh, prison system to figure out how they, they would be able to
00:22:20.960 confine president Trump. Right. And so that is their intention. And people need to wake up to the
00:22:24.940 fact that that is their intention. They're like, oh, that's not going to happen. Look what they just
00:22:29.280 did. They just had, they just had a rigged trial in a rigged Biden Democrat jurors finding a president
00:22:38.140 guilty for non-crimes. They're going to put him in prison. A lot of, a lot of people are giving happy
00:22:42.400 talk. We've warned about this and a lot of people, oh, shock. We're so shocked. And this whole thing,
00:22:46.360 oh, it's going to get reversed on appeal. Hey, there's not an appellate judge in New York
00:22:50.280 that wants to vote to get Trump off the hook here. They're all left-wing Democrats.

00:23:43.060 you know, civil fraud fine against Trump for the non-fraud of what happened in Mar-a-Lago. And
00:23:50.940 they, they, they, oh, they were so fair. They reduced it for about half a billion dollars.
00:23:54.440 And Laura Loomer, and Laura Loomer has got the, you know, she's got, she's got the judge's daughters,
00:24:00.600 you know, giving front row seats to her clients yesterday so they could be there for the historic

00:24:12.020 vacation again, they got to come back. And Jim Jordan, this is on you. Enough of the strongly
00:24:17.100 worded letters. And the, the vote, they should do a fly-in vote on this, on the Merrick Garland

00:32:17.340 And, you know, they're happy it's not going to last. And unfortunately, what they're forgetting is why they were so down two weeks ago.

00:33:16.740 But if you're a carefully cultivated polling aggregate, it probably shows something more like an even race or Trump up one.
00:33:26.340 And if this plays out in other polling and Trump has a little speed bump, they're absolutely going to use this in the media as calls for him to be replaced.

00:33:44.460 And believe it or not, 75 percent of Republicans, they don't care if Trump's found guilty.
