00:02:10.000 called the gaitanista self-defense force of columbia it's about an 8 000 man strong paramilitary and they
00:02:18.300 absolutely rule this whole region the approaches into panama mainly for cocaine smuggling but
00:02:25.600 now hundreds of thousands of immigrants there's too much money to turn your nose up on that so
00:02:32.160 uh but the panamanians are trying to close this gap down uh the darien gap down uh and need american
00:02:40.440 help to make columbia do it too on their side uh so I went down to see how things were going and not
00:02:48.260 well for one thing the americans promised financial assistance for repatriation flights
00:02:56.640 to the new panamanian president uh and just yesterday he was out in front of the un saying
00:03:03.940 where's the check uh he's been having press conferences and making public statements complaining
00:03:10.300 that the biden harris administration won't give up the money to to improve u.s national security by
00:03:19.220 closing the gap and what I saw on the columbian side was the gaitanistas they're also known as the
00:03:25.480 gulf clan maybe more people know him by that name uh that they are running a uh machine a well-oiled
00:03:35.560 machine on their side in conjunction with the columbian government with the full-witting cooperation of the
00:03:42.720 columbian government and the cities and towns uh in uh columbia and the united nations uh working all in
00:03:53.020 gaitanista controlled territory at their suffrage and the ngo's all over the place down there and
00:04:00.960 uh columbian banks and the rest of that so far from uh succumbing to any sort of pressure from the
00:04:08.380 biden harris administration to close that down and help the panamanians it was just a wide open still
00:04:14.900 roaring machine and that's the point that I'm really trying to make uh in the daily mail and now

00:06:13.000 what's going on but it's important to remember I think that did that that it's not we're not just
00:06:17.280 talking about letting people a few people in and we're seeking a better uh quality of life for
00:06:23.640 themselves and and their kids because this isn't 50 years ago right these are people are being brought
00:06:28.560 in um they're all a fighting age they're almost they're mostly male but the fact that they're
00:06:34.460 coming in is enriching the criminal gangs that that's a really important point Todd Binsman right
00:06:40.160 but to me the more important point even I mean I I mean that's that's been the case it should not be
00:06:47.060 the case now because there's this incredible golden opportunity for an American White House the the
00:06:55.240 government of uh the United States to actually do something about it now uh to shut the Darien gap
00:07:03.260 down and the Biden-Harris administration is refusing to do this and I believe that the reason that
00:07:11.300 they're refusing to help Panama and Panama is complaining they're begging they're saying hey they're
00:07:16.440 pleading help us uh is because the Biden administration loves this mass migration and they've spent the
00:07:24.480 last two years investing and that's the point of this daily mail piece investing in the shortening of
00:07:31.940 the route the expansion of safety uh security uh and and they've made it uh shorter it used to be a
00:07:41.060 week or 10 days of hell now it's like a couple days uh camping trip uh through there and that's all
00:07:48.060 because the administration went down there and invested in making it safer uh more orderly and
00:07:55.780 more humane is how they put it that's their their policy and now they're being asked to reverse that
00:08:01.400 they don't want to do it even if it improves U.S. security I don't hear uh Republican congressmen
00:08:09.580 uh I don't see Donald Trump mentioning this uh and and the point of of having a uh going down there
