00:00:00.000 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
00:00:06.900 Pray for our enemies, because we're going medieval on these people.
00:00:12.140 I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people.
00:00:16.400 The people have had a belly full of it.
00:00:18.360 I know you don't like hearing that.
00:00:19.780 I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that,
00:00:21.500 but you're not going to stop it.
00:00:22.440 It's going to happen.
00:00:23.700 And where do people like that go to share the big lie?
00:00:27.100 Mega Media.
00:00:28.000 I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:00:33.880 Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:00:37.640 If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:00:44.020 War Room.
00:00:44.860 Here's your host, Stephen K. Vance.
00:00:47.240 There are a lot of people experiencing legitimate pain and sadness and fear right now.
00:01:00.480 English writer Evelyn Wall once wrote about a blow expected, repeated, falling upon a bruise
00:01:07.560 with no smart or shock of surprise.
00:01:09.900 Only a dull and sickening pain and the doubt whether another like it could be born.
00:01:16.780 And after 2016 and its aftermath, that sentiment for maybe half of this country or more feels about right.
00:01:24.540 Here we go again.
00:01:26.780 Donald Trump now has a real shot at winning the popular vote.
00:01:30.440 He is currently leading by six million votes.
00:01:33.100 Republicans are projected to take control of the Senate.
00:01:36.260 And they are the odds-on favorite to take control of the House of Representatives.
00:01:41.340 How did this happen?
00:01:43.980 Well, as we try to begin to answer that, one of the best assessments I have read of the current political climate
00:01:50.060 came from journalist James Pogue in Vanity Fair earlier last month.
00:01:55.240 Pogue wrote a profile about Steve Bannon and the movement he and Trump have built on the American right.
00:02:00.320 In the piece, Pogue identifies some of the central motivations in the MAGA movement.
00:02:06.220 Motivations like a yearning for traditionalism.
00:02:09.580 If you followed this election closely, you know what I'm talking about.
00:02:12.240 You've seen the term trad tossed around to describe a movement of conservatives
00:02:17.240 who want to return to what they consider traditional American values,
00:02:22.120 one centered around a very retrograde version of the American family.
00:02:26.640 12-point margin.
00:02:28.220 They, at the very least, were not put off by this vision of America as a rigid and sometimes violent patriarchy.
00:02:34.880 They maybe even supported it.
00:02:37.380 People like Steve Bannon and J.D. Vance and Tucker Carlson,
00:02:40.720 the people who have worked to craft Trumpism into a coherent philosophy,
00:02:44.860 they have sought to associate the loss of this kind of so-called traditionalism
00:02:50.360 with the loss that many working families feel in a globalizing economy.
00:02:55.560 To them, the end of a male-dominated household and the struggle to get by financially,
00:03:01.220 well, those are natural partners.
00:03:04.160 Even before the pandemic, American middle-class wages were stagnating.
00:03:07.660 And the very real loss in purchasing power caused by the pandemic
00:03:12.120 gave the Bannons and the Vances of the world something to point to as justification for this belief.
00:03:19.660 This is not to say that so-called economic anxiety can explain away
00:03:23.640 our country's embrace of racist and sexist demagoguery.
00:03:27.740 In fact, it's quite the opposite.
00:03:29.940 Economic anxieties are a key part of an ideology that bemoans the loss of white male power,
00:03:35.280 even as macho white dudes continue to dominate our politics.
00:03:40.440 In exit polls, white men without a college degree supported Donald Trump over Kamala Harris by 40 points.
00:03:48.040 Voters, including men and women who had served in the military,
00:03:51.760 went for Trump over Harris by 31 points.
00:03:55.400 To that end, Pogue identifies another factor that I think motivates the MAGA movement,
00:04:00.160 the reassertion of a white male warrior class.
00:04:03.480 As Pogue writes, you'll often hear in conservative circles that America's warrior class,
00:04:09.060 which on the right is often believed to be from ethnically Scotch-Irish,
00:04:12.800 disproportionately Southern families who treat military service as family heritage,
00:04:18.020 that they have been the ones who bled to build our empire and ended up with NAFTA,
00:04:22.980 fentanyl, and a coastal establishment that sees them and their values as backward and dangerous.
00:04:28.000 That was a key part of the message crafted by Trump accolades,
00:04:33.120 a way to weave together concerns about status loss and immigration and drug abuse and American militarism
00:04:39.880 into a eulogy for American toughness and an attack on the so-called ruling class that is blamed for its demise.
00:04:48.740 As Steve Bannon told James Pogue,
00:04:51.460 America isn't an idea.
00:04:53.360 It is a country.
00:04:54.440 It is a people with roots, spirit, destiny.
00:04:57.660 And what you're talking about, the liberalism and the globalism,
00:05:00.900 real American people are the victims of that.
00:05:04.720 Now, most voters were not listening to Steve Bannon's fevered ranting about liberalism and globalism,
00:05:09.260 but they heard one candidate talk about America as a virtuous experiment in self-governance,
00:05:15.400 and they heard the other candidate call America a garbage can,
00:05:19.180 and a majority of them sided with the guy calling this country a garbage can.
00:05:24.140 Which brings me to the final element of this election that is probably worth examining,
00:05:28.880 the cultural realignment between the left and the right over American institutions.
00:05:33.100 Trump's just massively destructive first four years in office forced the American left to become
00:05:39.700 defenders of institutionalism.
00:05:42.540 Democrats had to speak up for law and order and for peace and stability and for democracy.
00:05:48.320 And that was why people like Liz Cheney and her father Dick Cheney,
00:05:51.640 among a handful of otherwise really quite conservative people,
00:05:55.120 it's how they became unlikely partners with Democrats in the fight against Trump's dangerous vision for America
00:06:01.420 and for the world.
00:06:03.100 It was the right thing to do, but it had a political cost.
00:06:08.300 For most of my life, the American left was the side channeling legitimate frustrations with American institutions.
00:06:14.660 Democrats were the ones who pointed out how innocent people could get caught up in America's criminal justice system.
00:06:21.460 Liberals and progressive were the ones who called out abuses by the CIA and by America's military-industrial complex.
00:06:27.840 But the realignment that happened under Donald Trump meant that Democrats had to cede much of that righteous outrage
00:06:34.520 to Republicans who were trying to tear all of it down.
00:06:39.320 And voters who felt frustrated by those issues found their way into Donald Trump's coalition.
00:06:46.180 As former Obama foreign policy advisor Ben Rhodes told James Pogue,
00:06:51.080 I think the innovation of the Bannon and Vance project is that it's forced the left to become defenders
00:06:57.400 of the very institutions they're supposed to be skeptical of, like the CIA, like the broader intelligence community, like NATO.
00:07:04.060 Or as Joe Rogan put it in his interview with Trump, that is how Republicans became punk rock.
00:07:13.560 Again, I don't say any of this to endorse these ideas or to chastise anyone, least of all Kamala Harris and Joe Biden,
00:07:30.520 who displayed remarkable and responsible leadership of this country during just enormously troubling times.
00:07:37.040 A lot of you listening to this program, including me, would like to not have to think about anything Donald Trump or Steve Bannon or J.D. Vance or Joe Rogan
00:07:48.500 have to say about our country or its people or its place in this world.
00:07:53.440 But in order to do that, in order to reach a point where these people are once again far away from the levers of power in this country,
00:08:02.040 we have to begin by understanding how they got there in the first place.
00:08:09.820 OK, Thursday, 7 November, year of our Lord, 2024.
00:08:15.760 The so the post game analysis is now going through and I think they realize the scale of what this audience has brought about the victory.
00:08:26.300 And we have to and we're going to do over the next couple of days some to make sure that we show you the analytics to show you the scale of this.
00:08:38.960 But right there, that's Alex Wagner.
00:08:42.760 Alex Wagner was in Obama's White House and she's one of the I would say the Rachel.
00:08:47.660 She's like Chris Hayes and a little bit of Joy Ann Reed.
00:08:53.640 I guess Chris Hayes and Joy Ann Reed are more acolytes of Maddo who runs the deal.
00:08:59.120 But right there, she's taken Pogues and that's the Vanity Fair story, which I recommend everybody reads.
00:09:05.440 And I know that a lot of folks in this audience don't doesn't do not subscribe to Vanity Fair.
00:09:10.660 But if you go get the edition of it's the November edition, but I think it's on newsstands now.
00:09:15.160 So it has a cover story about this by this guy, James Pogue.
00:09:20.040 He does, I think, a really fantastic job of talking about the war room and talking about what we have discussed and the information we put forward to you, this audience, and actually who this audience is and how it's made itself into an army.
00:09:34.480 It's kind of the army that's on Trump's right flank.
00:09:37.220 Remember, in every war, every battle, you have different ways that you align your forces.
00:09:44.080 And we're quite proud to be on the to the in the MAGA movement to the to the to the right on the recover the right on the MAGA movement.
00:09:53.220 But and right there they do.
00:09:55.360 She does a brilliant job, even more so in her staff of taking Pogues article, which talks about traditionalism.
00:10:02.620 It talks about what we've talked about, the economics of the working class, the middle class that you've heard over and over again.
00:10:08.940 But then she takes the flip.
00:10:14.000 And this is the important part of that, the most important part.
00:10:19.320 The progressive left became the defenders of the indefensible.
00:10:28.340 They became the defenders of the institutional rot.
00:10:32.300 But the problem with our system, the problem we have is not just individuals.
00:10:38.400 It's just not that Comey is a bad guy.
00:10:41.160 It is not simply that Merrick Garland is a bad guy.
00:10:45.060 It's not simply that you have bad people in these positions of power.
00:10:50.520 We have a structural problem.
00:10:53.420 We have a problem of kind of architecture and engineering.
00:10:56.220 We have a systems problem.
00:10:57.800 But the reason that the lived experience of the American citizen is not the best and that the lived experience of the American citizen is bad because of globalization and everything that's happened in these foreign wars and the building of the American empire is that the oligarchs that control the American empire control the institutions of the American empire.
00:11:26.300 Which was which were totally complete opposite of what the revolutionary generation fought for or the exact opposite of what the the framers fought for.
00:11:41.800 Hamilton may be a slight exception to that.
00:11:48.140 And I will go through that in the next couple of days.
00:11:50.520 But the greatest generation, the ones that went to the battlefields, because remember, they weren't the decision makers.
00:11:58.700 They were they were the they were the cannon fodder, but fought so valiantly and so bravely.
00:12:03.200 And and and and, you know, were a leading part of and participant in the destruction of the Nazis and fascism and imperial Japan imperialism.
00:12:17.380 They didn't support this.
00:12:18.540 This is all a post-World War Two construct.
00:12:21.140 Now, we had Tucker on here the other day and Tucker is going through some spiritual awakening.
00:12:25.620 He's talking about demonic force.
00:12:26.840 He's talking about the darker forces in the world.
00:12:29.120 He goes back to the Trinity project and he even takes it back for that, that the the the the bringing of nuclear weapons and what nuclear weapons meant and how that tied into the American empire.
00:12:41.500 But the American empire was also not just military.
00:12:44.300 It was it was a economic.
00:12:46.280 What is called neoliberal, the neoliberal neocons.
00:12:50.760 And what that is, is that the the FDR's administration understood that unfettered, unfettered libertarian capitalism is just not going to work, that you need you need structures around capitalism.
00:13:03.280 And that's what, you know, market reforms.
00:13:06.020 That's what came became the kind of the neoliberal part.
00:13:08.940 The neocon part was the building of the military aspects and the intelligence aspects and then the law enforcement aspects of the empire.
00:13:17.060 Exactly what the framers didn't want us to do.
00:13:18.980 And as this spread globally, what the leaders of that, many of whom came from working class and the middle class, I went to Harvard, one of the factories where they take working class kids and middle class kids, at least some percentage of them, and they stamp you.
00:13:33.880 Boom, you get your union card and you go in and become a foot soldier in the globalization army.
00:13:38.780 And that built up an empire that not just our framers in our very original DNA of this country, of this country, it then worked for the oligarchs.
00:14:01.980 It worked for these institutions.
00:14:03.000 The left has become the defenders of these institutions that are clearly corrupt and need to both have purges and also need to be reconstructed.
00:14:15.860 The intelligence community, the Department of Defense, the military, the DOJ, the FBI, the whole law enforcement, the courts, these judges are out of control.
00:14:28.420 A lot of these judges are out of control.
00:14:29.700 You can see this on the attacks of Trump in the MAGA movement.
00:14:33.960 And President Trump is back like an avenging angel.
00:14:38.200 And this is the long, we have a long and difficult struggle ahead of us.
00:14:44.080 As I've been saying, Tuesday is so important, but it's just another marker on the road of this journey.
00:14:51.540 Short break.
00:14:52.800 I'll return in a minute or two and we'll continue this discussion.
00:15:00.100 The elites are getting desperate.
00:15:01.800 They now want to use the technology behind Bitcoin for their own Orwellian purposes, their gold to dominate our economy by forcing everyone to use central bank digital currencies, which they control.
00:15:14.120 Imagine your every purchase being called into question, your every move tracked, like you live in a communist country.
00:15:21.800 This is not the America we want, but it is the America they want to create.
00:15:26.300 Fortunately, you can fight back.
00:15:28.480 I believe owning gold is the best solution.
00:15:31.000 Why?
00:15:31.360 Because it keeps you in control and safeguards your savings.
00:15:34.880 Plus, with a gold IRA from Birch Gold, you can move your IRA or 401k into physical gold without paying any taxes or penalties.

00:15:57.300 Let me repeat that.
00:15:58.800 Birch Gold Group is the only gold company I trust to help patriots defend their savings.
00:16:04.640 So take a stand right now.
00:16:06.560 Go to birchgold.com slash Bannon and get your free info kit on gold IRA.
00:16:13.300 Aspiring authoritarian.
00:16:14.400 I mean, the guy does not have a democratic bone in his body.
00:16:17.240 He tried to overthrow the constitutional order of violence.
00:16:20.380 We all saw it happen on national television.
00:16:22.240 He celebrated, talked about using political violence repeatedly in his campaigns.
00:16:27.200 And because of all that, we know they're going to try to do things to subvert and alter the constitutional order.
00:16:32.920 But the most important thing to those of us who are committed to stopping them is to remember their success is not foreordained in any way.
00:16:41.720 They're going to try and there are going to be a lot of people who try to stop them.
00:16:45.160 And the outcome of that is as yet undetermined.
00:16:48.540 And I'm not saying this from some place of airy hope.
00:16:51.080 We've been covering Trump since 2015.
00:16:53.080 We covered his first term.
00:16:55.000 He tried to do lots of bad things and failed to do them.
00:16:59.120 Because he is completely distractible and inconstant.
00:17:02.360 Because he's a vortex of chaos.
00:17:03.840 Because he cannot be stopped from doing stupid self-destructive things all the time.
00:17:07.660 None of that changed because he won an election.
00:17:11.800 They're all the same people.
00:17:13.020 He's the same guy.
00:17:13.980 Are Republicans better prepared this time?
00:17:15.840 Are they more loyal?
00:17:17.280 Is the judiciary more in their favor?
00:17:18.440 Yes, yes, and yes.
00:17:19.400 With much of what you all have said, the only piece that I think is missing is what I think is essential for us to figure out how to manage this period.
00:17:28.640 Which is we have to engage in a forensic examination of how we got here.
00:17:35.560 And that forensic examination compels us to confront issues that we, progressive people, and also just people who support democracy, have not sufficiently dealt with and confronted.
00:17:49.140 Obviously, you know, for me, one of them is ongoing racism and white supremacy, which is such a part of this country.
00:17:56.840 And it has been kind of the gateway drug.
00:17:59.740 Trump couldn't have come to power without it, without making appeals to our ongoing flirtation, encounter, embrace of racism and white supremacist ideology.
00:18:13.560 And every time he wasn't stopped, every time we treat this as though it is not a deal breaker for leadership in this country, we open up the door to the danger that Trump has represented.
00:18:23.260 Okay, this is going to continue.
00:18:30.020 I want to go back.
00:18:32.000 There are a couple of moving pieces here, and I need this audience to begin to understand the framing of this and the architectonics of how we do this because we're going into the next phase.
00:18:45.440 I told you that if you did your job and what you did was incredible, unique in American history, and you see this.
00:18:54.740 It's not me saying that.
00:18:56.420 It's the Financial Times of London.
00:18:59.680 Look at that.
00:19:00.600 Look at this cover story.
00:19:02.100 Trump is back.
00:19:04.000 Resounding triumph seals improbable comeback.
00:19:07.140 Well, it wasn't improbable.
00:19:09.560 They still got it.
00:19:10.260 It's not improbable.
00:19:12.780 Suck on that Financial Times.
00:19:14.160 It's not improbable.
00:19:15.440 It's completely logical, and it's the one that had to happen.
00:19:20.400 The New York Times doesn't want, oh, I love this.
00:19:22.700 We're going to frame this.
00:19:24.140 Trump storms back.
00:19:26.440 Look at that.
00:19:27.400 Trump storms back.
00:19:28.300 New York Times.
00:19:29.540 You think the Salzburger family and you think Maggie Haberman?
00:19:34.420 Think Maggie Haberman liked doing that?
00:19:38.380 Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal.
00:19:39.980 Trump triumphs again.
00:19:42.560 Republican for his first in more than a century to reclaim the White House after losing it.
00:19:46.620 He didn't lose it.
00:19:47.740 Wall Street Journal.
00:19:48.500 They stole it from him, and the math, and I'm getting a lot of blowback from my staff at the math.
00:19:54.500 They're 12 million votes short.
00:19:56.320 Where are they?
00:19:57.540 They stole it in 2020.
00:19:58.940 We have to have an investigation of that.
00:20:00.380 So number one is for you to fully understand what you have delivered here as the vanguard of this movement
00:20:13.300 and to fully appreciate, I think, what you have accomplished through your efforts and through your work.
00:20:21.320 From the agony and uncertainty of post-3 November of 2020, when many of you had first started listening to the show
00:20:35.940 and started coming to the show because there was a ray of hope to everything that happened on January 6th,
00:20:41.180 and then everything happened on the 20th of January 2021 when Boris was on the tarmac and called into the show
00:20:49.140 as we ended the show and then shifted to coverage of Real America's Voice coverage of Biden's inaugural.
00:20:56.380 Remember, it was like 10 people out there in the grass.
00:21:00.180 And at Andrews Air Force Base, they played the Frank Sinatra song.
00:21:03.440 And there were very few people out there and no power players, very few power players.
00:21:09.500 People just, people abandoned him.
00:21:12.440 And the abandonment got worse than Mar-a-Lago afterwards.
00:21:17.080 The people that would go down, like McCarthy and these people, would be there to make sure he wasn't coming back,
00:21:23.000 to try to mollify him, to try to keep him a lion in winter.
00:21:27.100 But this audience let him know that if you have the courage to do this, if you will do this,
00:21:37.360 if you will return from Mar-a-Lago to right this grievous wrong, if you will return
00:21:43.140 and show the world the warrior courage that you have, we will have your back every step of the way.
00:21:51.600 And that was accomplished.
00:21:55.640 And it was accomplished in the media and everybody that we did this in plain sight.
00:22:02.440 We didn't hide anything.
00:22:04.660 And to build the broader coalition and to talk about African-American and talk about Hispanics,
00:22:09.280 talk about the Rio Grande Valley, show everything that was coming up from Central American for, you know,
00:22:14.520 Ben Burquam, Todd Bensman, Oscar Blue Ramirez, all the great reportage down there to show it every day.
00:22:21.600 Then to show what's happening in the country.
00:22:23.720 This is one of the reasons we did We Build the Wall.
00:22:26.280 What was the theme?
00:22:26.900 The tagline I put up there, every state a border state and every town a border town.
00:22:30.740 We knew it was going to happen in New York.
00:22:33.260 And all this happened.
00:22:34.300 And always underpinning what Alex Wagner there is talking about, the economics of it.
00:22:42.380 But we have not saved this republic.
00:22:44.220 We have not saved this country yet.
00:22:49.600 It has taken us many, many, many decades to get here.
00:22:52.880 And the reality and the reason that so many of you are so motivated, I use my kid sister as an example,
00:23:01.580 because my kid sister, I'm not sure she read a book until she was 30.
00:23:08.180 And I say this as one of the people in my life, my brother and sister, besides one of the people closest to my life.
00:23:13.720 She is a warrior now.
00:23:17.120 She was doing 20 hours a day.
00:23:19.620 I mean, she's like a grace level, levels of madness, of just intensity down in North Carolina, working, working, working.
00:23:27.300 Because she's had a great awakening that, hey, she had been not a big part of the Republican Party,
00:23:33.060 but a volunteer and walk and did all the kinds of things.
00:23:35.280 And she sees that what the Cheneys represented is wrong and evil and hurt this country as much as the progressive left.
00:23:44.120 And she supported that and worked for it and gave it money, as many of you have.
00:23:51.080 But that awakening has brought this victory.
00:23:54.700 And now we will go through the scale of it.
00:23:56.620 At the scale of it, you have so many compatriots that have now joined you and now have seats at the table.
00:24:01.500 Everything from amazing entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley to the Hispanics in Rio Grande Valley
00:24:08.160 to black men in places like Philadelphia and New York City and Baltimore and Atlanta and Detroit.
00:24:18.960 The next, what we have to understand now, and there's no rest for the weary, is that, hey, the resistance has already commenced.
00:24:26.620 And the people that are aligned against us, that support the empire, support the dark star,
00:24:33.040 are among the most sophisticated and smartest people on this planet and in the history of this country.
00:24:40.380 Don't think they're dumb people.
00:24:42.260 People say, oh, these liberals are so dumb.
00:24:44.880 Remember, in what they're trying to protect and what their project is,
00:24:49.180 they've had a pretty good run.
00:24:53.400 Here's how good a run they had.
00:24:56.480 The established order had such a good run that, hey, 80% of this audience, including myself and my sister,
00:25:02.180 my brother, all of it, the Bannons, we were kind of supporters of it.
00:25:06.960 Right?
00:25:08.020 For a while.
00:25:10.560 But Alex Wagner gets to it and it kind of, the gee whiz, the gee whiz, wow, they're supporting the institutions.
00:25:21.020 Yes, Alex, you are supporting the institutions.
00:25:23.740 And if your producers had watched War Room, we've hammered this every day for four years.
00:25:28.660 You support in the cheerleader for the established order.
00:25:33.420 And the established order is built upon the essential quasi, this is why I call people Russian serfs.
00:25:42.300 This is why in the Vanity Fair, I said peasants.
00:25:45.580 You treat the American citizen as a Russian serf.
00:25:48.320 You treat them as a peasant.
00:25:51.200 And finally, the people with pitchforks and the peasants said, we've had enough.
00:25:55.840 And many came to our side because they saw what you and your network and your correspondence and all that.
00:26:03.400 I haven't seen, by the way, on MSNBC, where all those legal people every day all over you on Trump is evil and Trump is going to prison and Trump is guilty of these felonies.
00:26:13.280 It blew up in your frickin' face.
00:26:16.740 Because working class blacks and Hispanics that have to take the jack boot on the neck all the time said, hey, you know what?
00:26:26.660 I don't know about this Trump guy.
00:26:27.760 I haven't paid much attention to him, but I see what they're doing to him.
00:26:30.280 Get them all out tonight.
00:26:32.300 Chris Hayes, Rachel Maddow.
00:26:33.560 Come on, baby.
00:26:34.860 Give it to me.
00:26:35.620 Where are they?
00:26:37.640 Jack Smith's running for the hills.
00:26:39.660 Mershon's now saying, I think I'm going to toss them all out.
00:26:43.540 Where are you that Trump's a criminal and Trump's guilty of rape and Trump's guilty of economic pillage and Trump is an insurrectionist?
00:26:51.680 Suck on this.
00:26:53.620 He's none of those things.
00:26:56.060 You weaponize the apparatus.
00:26:57.960 Yes, when you not just defended the institutions, Alex Wagner.
00:27:01.940 Don't sit there like the little cheery cheerleader.
00:27:04.660 Not, oh, we're in this position.
00:27:06.080 We have to defend the institutions.
00:27:07.400 No, you weaponize the institutions and you were part of it and your staff was part of it and the senior people at MSNBC and the people that own NBC were part of it and the Washington Post and the New York Times because they understood in the old playbook.
00:27:23.720 Look, we will take out Trump and once we take out Trump, this movement will just fritter away.
00:27:31.520 What does not kill you makes you stronger.
00:27:36.860 The central part of our movement is resilience.
00:27:40.340 You can kick us to the curb, you can stomp us, you can beat us in a battle, but you can't win the war and you will not win the war.
00:27:49.240 You people are revolting, revolting what you have done to this country, what you've done to the citizens of this country.
00:28:00.740 And yes, yes, yes, you will pay a price for that.
00:28:06.080 You will pay a price for that.
00:28:07.960 It's called justice.
00:28:09.620 Rough Roman justice.
00:28:11.080 I want to warn you of a huge change that could be coming to our money in our bank accounts.
00:28:18.440 First, think back to 9-11, shortly after the government pushed through the Patriot Act.
00:28:22.440 This gave the government power to spy on innocent Americans by monitoring our phone and email and tracking our movement across the Internet.
00:28:31.300 Now, Jim Rickards, editor of the independent financial newsletter Strategic Intelligence and New York Times bestselling author,
00:28:37.960 is warning about a coming event that could elevate this governmental surveillance to a terrifying new level.
00:28:44.140 In fact, some of the guests I've had on the war room believe that the government will soon expand their powers to track our every move.
00:28:52.140 If we say the wrong things on social media, donate to the wrong causes, buy firearms, or even vote MAGA,
00:28:59.020 the government may be able to shut us out of our bank accounts.
00:29:02.260 I can't say for sure if this will happen, but it's an interesting and dire warning.
00:29:08.480 Fortunately, Jim Rickards, an American patriot and friend of mine,
00:29:11.460 has made it his mission to educate us on what he believes is coming
00:29:15.200 and how to protect yourself from the possibility of programmable money.
00:29:20.940 Watch Jim's warning video now before it's censored like I've been in the past.
00:29:26.220 Go to RickardsWarRoom.com.
00:29:28.580 That's RickardsWarRoom.com now to see the video.
00:29:32.260 Here's your host, Stephen K. Vance.
00:29:36.980 Okay, because I've got time.
00:29:38.580 I'm going to get more into this.
00:29:39.660 We're going to spend a lot of time.
00:29:41.480 The resistance has already picked up.
00:29:44.500 And of course, the brains of the operation, part of the media brains is Rachel Maddow.
00:29:48.400 We'll break down what she's got to say.
00:29:51.700 The two angles of attack, one are in the economic and financial side.
00:29:56.520 The others in deportations.
00:29:58.380 Write this down.
00:29:59.100 Mass deportations.
00:30:00.640 Mass deportations.
00:30:02.260 Write that down because that's the other angle of attack they're coming at us.
00:30:05.980 And that's what I'm saying.
00:30:06.720 Today, you know, you had your day off, right?
00:30:09.820 I was with you.
00:30:11.040 Everybody's a little sleepy yesterday.
00:30:13.080 But today, it's another, you know, you're back to the ramparts.
00:30:16.360 Because you're going to reorganize and we're going on offense.
00:30:18.960 We're going to have to go on offense.
00:30:19.900 Let me play a CNBC piece.
00:30:22.280 And then we'll bring in Scott Besson real quickly.
00:30:24.380 Let's play it.
00:30:29.020 We don't have it.
00:30:31.020 Okay.
00:30:32.340 Scott, why don't you talk about it?
00:30:33.680 It was on CNBC.
00:30:34.620 You did a hit.
00:30:35.100 You did a hit yesterday.
00:30:37.000 Talk to me.
00:30:37.680 And this is you went on there.
00:30:39.760 And afterwards, some things happened in the bond market.
00:30:42.160 I want you.
00:30:42.560 I want you to.
00:30:43.420 Okay.
00:30:43.600 Let's be quiet over there, producer.
00:30:45.020 I got it.
00:30:45.540 You missed the mark.
00:30:46.280 But I got I got my guests here.
00:30:48.080 Scott, describe what happened yesterday.
00:30:49.820 Why did you go on CNBC?
00:30:51.800 Well, Steve, I've been very concerned that I, as you know, predicted the red wave, the trifecta.
00:30:59.340 And I've been very concerned that the bond market would explode on the upside, which it has been doing, by the way, since Jerome Powell's inappropriate 50 basis point rate cut at the Fed meeting in September.
00:31:16.080 So we'd already moved 70 basis points.
00:31:19.040 And yesterday, the bond market had the biggest move, the upward interest rates going up that it had since 2020.
00:31:27.340 So, unfortunately, my prediction was correct.
00:31:31.940 And a lot of people mistakenly think that Donald Trump, led by this narrative in the mainstream media, a lot of people mistakenly think that Donald Trump's policies are going to be inflationary.
00:31:44.840 Mike Bloomberg, you know, the head globalist in chief, has an editorial in publication he owns today saying, oh, Donald Trump's back for more.
00:31:55.600 I completely disagree with that.
00:31:59.060 And I think that interest rates are going to go up for the right reason, because growth is very high.
00:32:04.980 And then I think that everyone will discover that President Trump's policies of the energy dominance deregulation will be disinflationary.
00:32:18.840 So I went on yesterday to try to calm the markets and get the real talking points across instead of this hysteria that's been going on.
00:32:29.480 Okay, hang on, hang on, Scott, hang on for one second.
00:32:33.220 Let me play the CNBC clip, which I'm going to have.
00:32:35.260 Thank you, Denver, Palm Beach, and my crack production team.
00:32:38.420 Let's play it and I'll bring you back in.
00:32:39.640 Let's just go back to it.
00:32:56.520 Here's the thing, Scott.
00:32:57.700 I want to make sure we set this in perspective, because we still don't technically have it.
00:33:02.040 But what they're trying to make an argument, either bond vigilantes or whatever, is that Trump's – when you look at Trump's – let me step back a second for the audience.
00:33:13.920 What Scott Besson has come on this show and said for the last couple of years is the following, that we have given what the established order on Wall Street and the political class with this thing called modern monetary theory, where you can just have these massive deficits and keep printing money forever.
00:33:34.700 But eventually, deficits, which never had a big political traction, gets into this – gets into the deficits, get to debt, and the way you finance it, particularly the short term, that's where this inflation gets embedded, and that's where the American people get crushed and never turn around.
00:33:49.000 And what Scott Besson has been warning, Scott Besson has been saying, hey, if Trump does not get back in, this is your last chance to actually have a supply side or a Reagan type or a growth policy that we can grow our way out of here eventually.
00:34:06.500 OK?
00:34:06.660 And that's based upon – it's based upon energy, you know, full-spectrum energy dominance, the Trump theory.
00:34:14.340 It's based upon, you know, decreasing the spending with Elon Musk.
00:34:19.300 We get to like 3 percent of the deficit, not 7 or 8 percent.
00:34:22.560 But it's all these things.
00:34:23.460 That's a deregulation.
00:34:24.260 And these are going to be – hang on.
00:34:26.620 Deregulation, yes, the deconstruction of the administrative state, the deregulation part of it, to unlock the animal spirits and the entrepreneurial spirits.
00:34:33.600 Because remember, the MAGA movement, we're both populist nationalists, but it's the – we're the entrepreneurs also.
00:34:40.740 It's entrepreneurial populism.
00:34:42.920 Now, against that, you have this narrative from Wall Street and the central banks and everyone says, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:34:49.160 Trump – Trump's saying what he's got, this theory, is actually more inflationary.
00:34:53.600 And so pick it up.
00:34:54.740 That's what happened yesterday.
00:34:56.020 That's what was in the bond market yesterday.
00:34:57.780 And tell them what you said on CNBC that, quite frankly, stopped this.
00:35:03.140 Yes, sir.
00:35:04.620 Well, look, I just gave the facts, and the facts are easy because, to use a favorite term of the progressive left, we have a lived experience.
00:35:14.820 We have the lived experience of Donald Trump 1.0 from 2016 to 2020.
00:35:21.860 And you know what?
00:35:22.400 To be fair, I'll take out the COVID years because I take it out on the deficit.
00:35:26.040 So I'll take it out on the inflation side that their growth was high and inflation was low and everybody won.
00:35:36.640 And just – it's absurd that they are concocting this boogeyman that what didn't happen before is somehow going to happen now.
00:35:46.880 And, you know, I am worried, Steve, that the elites, the other side, they tried welfare.
00:36:00.760 That didn't work.
00:36:01.980 They tried impeachment.
00:36:03.400 That didn't work.
00:36:04.380 And now I am worried that they have taken the economy to such a bad place and getting ready for the election, they may try to spike the cannon on the way out the door.
00:36:16.960 Because one of the things that would surely – the cripple or the cutback, the very ambitious programs that President Trump has for the first 100 days, for the first year, for the four years would be an economic problem.
00:36:35.680 So I actually think that they are going to use the economy this time to slow down the America First movement.
00:36:43.500 Trump is – we're going to get more into it in the next couple of days.
00:36:47.820 Trump is stepping into a firestorm created by them.
00:36:54.000 Remember, the theory of modern monetary theory is deficits don't matter.
00:36:57.300 And, hey, if they ever become a problem, we just raise taxes a couple hundred percent and you pay – it's all nonsense.
00:37:03.600 It's all fantasy.
00:37:05.160 It was a dangerous, stupid theory that – and we used America as the experiment.
00:37:10.480 And now we're in it – President Trump is walking into a situation.
00:37:15.560 The ticking time bomb on our national security is not Ukraine and not the Middle East and not even my beloved let's-take-them-down Chinese Communist Party around Taiwan.
00:37:25.500 The ticking time bomb on the national security of the United States is debt that's adding a trillion dollars of debt every 100 days.
00:37:31.840 And now the interest rates are over – we're paying over a trillion dollars every year in interest.
00:37:35.300 That's the ticking time bomb, and it's ticking loud and fast.
00:37:38.940 So everything Besant and Warsh and Larry Kudlow and everybody's trying to work together and Navarro and the whole team with President Trump, a businessman and a financier, is to work in this.
00:37:51.460 I know you've got to bounce, but your terms spike the cannon before they leave.
00:37:56.500 Be specific about that.
00:37:59.940 What does Scott Besant mean when you use that quite explosive phrase, sir?
00:38:07.420 Well, so, Steve, Janet Yellen, who I think is going to go down as the worst Treasury Secretary in modern history, has run an emerging-market-style election economy.
00:38:20.300 So what has she done?
00:38:22.560 She has – we've run a 7 percent budget deficit to GDP, the largest deficit when there wasn't a recession and not a war.
00:38:33.060 We have never done that before, and it is just pure spending.
00:38:36.860 They tried to spin their way to a victory like they do in Argentina, like they do in Turkey.
00:38:42.860 And by creating, they have inflated an asset bubble in housing and in the stock market, but only the top 20 percent benefit from that.
00:38:57.500 So you've got an asset bubble in housing and stocks, 20 percent – a 7 percent deficit to GDP.
00:39:06.820 And then just like they do before an election in Turkey, she moved all the borrowing to the front end of the curve to keep interest rates down.
00:39:15.200 And now that debt is going to have to be turned out.
00:39:20.140 And that –
00:39:22.500 Hold on.
00:39:23.060 Full stop.
00:39:23.600 Full stop.
00:39:24.160 Full stop.
00:39:24.720 Full stop.
00:39:25.240 Full stop.
00:39:25.600 Full stop.
00:39:25.980 I need to hit.
00:39:26.800 I know you've got to go.
00:39:27.740 I need a minute on this.
00:39:28.880 It's like paying a mortgage on a credit card.
00:39:31.160 Besson came up with that phrase about six months ago.
00:39:33.520 It's like you're paying your mortgage on your credit card at 25 percent APR, OK?
00:39:38.240 Yep.
00:39:39.400 We're just like – we're no different than Argentina.
00:39:42.260 One-third of the debt – hang on.
00:39:44.340 One-third of the debt's got to be refinanced every year.
00:39:46.260 They're just doing it short term in bills and notes in 90s, right?
00:39:50.480 Because they don't want to have the guts to actually go out and determine it out long term,
00:39:54.000 which you should do as like a major country, the most powerful economy in the world, the largest, most powerful nation in the post-industrial world, Scott Besson.
00:40:04.060 She did the opposite.
00:40:05.160 And now Trump has got to come in and put – you know, he's supposed to be the sower of chaos.
00:40:10.640 He's supposed to be the sower of disorder.
00:40:12.740 He's supposed to be the disruptor.
00:40:14.320 No, the established order is chaos because they put more money in their pocket and they keep more control and power.
00:40:22.120 That's what this has always been about, Scott Besson.
00:40:25.380 Yep.
00:40:25.860 And that's why Tuesday night was a great night because ordinary American people, the entrepreneur class, and patriots pushed back against it and said,
00:40:35.780 like, it's our country and we're going to fix this.
00:40:38.760 And I am confident that President Trump is going to have a great four years.
00:40:42.520 He gave a wonderful acceptance speech.
00:40:45.980 It was inclusive.
00:40:47.160 It was conciliatory.
00:40:48.820 And I think once we can get over this hump and not let them spike the cannon, then we could be in the Trump golden age for the next four years.
00:41:01.860 Scott, social media, how do people get to you?
00:41:04.660 Email all of it.
00:41:05.660 The big article in Financial Times will deal with that tomorrow about you.
00:41:09.640 How do people find out more about you?
00:41:11.300 Sir, honored to have you on here.
00:41:20.180 And I know that I think the country respects that you're part of the financial economic team with the other guys that people know maybe a little bit more of to help President Trump think through these issues.
00:41:31.640 So thank you.
00:41:33.660 Thanks, Steve.
00:41:34.760 See you later in the week.
00:41:36.140 Thanks, brother.
00:41:36.680 Okay, man.
00:41:38.900 What have I said from the beginning?
00:41:41.640 If you go back, Cleta Mitchell and my sister had had I gave a talk in Pinehurst a year ago.
00:41:48.280 I think it was a year ago.
00:41:49.320 And I said in Pinehurst's speech, I said, let's go to January, February, 2025.
00:41:56.600 Or let's go to the afternoon of 20 January, 2025.
00:42:00.920 President Trump's just been inaugurated.
00:42:02.420 Here's what's going to happen.
00:42:03.180 There's a financial crisis building up because we have the McCarthy debt ceiling deal becomes you got the debt ceiling.
00:42:11.040 You've got the budget because, you know, they're just going to do CRs.
00:42:15.240 How did I guess that?
00:42:16.300 Well, I guess I just looked at history.
00:42:18.700 You're going to have a budget.
00:42:19.660 These deficits of a trillion and a half to two trillion dollars.
00:42:22.420 Trump's going to have to deal with it.
00:42:23.580 And you have the rescission or the reversal of all the tax cuts that were the basis of his economic policy.
00:42:30.600 The blacks and Hispanic men that voted for Trump.
00:42:36.460 It was twofold.
00:42:37.620 One was a cultural set of cultural issues.
00:42:41.440 That he's trying to address.
00:42:44.060 But the other was economic.
00:42:45.600 They said, hey, you know what?
00:42:46.840 Besides all this trash, they talk about this guy.
00:42:49.040 18 and 19.
00:42:50.300 Our communities were better.
00:42:51.720 My family made more money.
00:42:53.580 I made more money.
00:42:56.080 So the basis of that is Trump's tax cuts and deregulation.
00:42:59.900 So that's all.
00:43:00.880 And the second I said, the second part of it is the deportations, the mass deportations.
00:43:07.160 This is exactly the angle of attack they're coming now to thwart Trump's second term.
00:43:14.300 They want to spike the cannon on the financial side.
00:43:18.840 So he has very little room to maneuver.
00:43:21.540 And they've already started the infrastructure of the, oh, no, it's kids in cages.
00:43:28.520 All next in the war room.

00:44:36.940 Action, action, action.
00:44:39.320 Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:44:43.880 Yeah, hey, so first off, David Pakman, for picking on my sister,
00:44:49.480 you motivated her.
00:44:50.860 She was a warrior.
00:44:51.980 One of the reasons we won in North Carolina was Mary Beth.
00:44:55.140 I won't give her last name because they may go blow her house up.
00:44:59.760 But all the Mary Beths out there.
00:45:01.900 And Pakman, yo, bro, how's your long face today?
00:45:07.620 We're going to get a lot longer.
00:45:08.860 It's a sad that you're sad.
00:45:09.920 I know you're sad.
00:45:11.260 By the way, you saw Alex Wagner was sad.
00:45:13.000 She quoted her like, Evelyn, whoa, well, she did the thing on the bruise.
00:45:18.960 She's sad.
00:45:21.700 Why are you sad?
00:45:25.500 Wagner, why are you sad?
00:45:28.580 You've been a court jester for this crowd for a decade.
00:45:31.440 Why are you sad today?
00:45:34.120 And why are you sad?
00:45:34.800 We became the defenders.
00:45:36.020 You know, one of the first things I want to do,
00:45:37.680 I keep telling the people around President Trump that are doing the day-to-day,
00:45:41.220 I want to go to Hollywood and get all these FBI shows off,
00:45:44.780 all these shows,
00:45:45.880 because this is how they got all the progressives out there in Hollywood
00:45:48.260 that hate us.
00:45:50.580 And did those celebrity endorse?
00:45:52.240 Hey, George Clooney, how'd your deal go with Biden?
00:45:55.220 Did that work out for you?
00:45:56.760 The Harris?
00:45:58.800 You know you're detested now by people on the left
00:46:01.080 because they figured Biden couldn't have done as badly as she has.
00:46:03.980 You did that, bro.
00:46:05.160 Oh, Steve Banner's just a...
00:46:08.160 Hey, yo, bro.
00:46:11.180 We're back and we're ascended and you helped.
00:46:14.320 Katy Perry.
00:46:16.520 You wonder how dumb as a brick she is, how unselfaware.
00:46:20.480 Yo, girl.
00:46:23.080 You were with Hillary in 16, I think at the exact same place,
00:46:26.420 and we smoked her, and guess what?
00:46:27.900 It was in Philadelphia.
00:46:28.920 We won it.
00:46:30.360 Because of the lack of folks coming out to vote for her.
00:46:32.880 Hello.
00:46:33.180 You did it again.
00:46:35.680 Same thing happened.
00:46:38.960 But that's great.
00:46:42.800 Your endorsements helped us.
00:46:45.600 One, it motivates people because how much they cannot stand and detest you.
00:46:50.000 And number two, it's just, you just, you come across and it just doesn't motivate people,
00:46:56.380 even on your side.
00:46:57.820 I think they're finding out now, Matt Boyle, they got the stories out.
00:47:01.820 Okay.
00:47:03.960 Harris raised a billion dollars.
00:47:07.140 Cash money.
00:47:09.000 They had a hundred million, I think with a week left, and they end with 20 million in debt.
00:47:14.060 And now there's all this stuff that the money gets stolen.
00:47:16.780 And in fact, you know, Jonathan Martin was out there, who's a smart guy, was on MSNBC.
00:47:22.800 I think they did the Sunday show.
00:47:23.980 I think they were doing specials like we were there on Sunday, or maybe it was Monday.
00:47:26.920 He said, I've never seen a ground game.
00:47:28.900 They put so much money into it.
00:47:30.200 And it's so much better than the War Room Posse and all these others that were kind of self-organized,
00:47:36.440 the Sam Fattises and the Chase PA and all the states.
00:47:40.540 What Kemp and the guys had down in Georgia, you have some professionals, but you got all these volunteers.
00:47:44.920 That would be you.
00:47:47.160 And guess what?
00:47:47.760 The militias won.
00:47:49.220 The volunteers won.
00:47:50.180 And now they're saying, Drudge's guys, there's a link to a story about Drudge, that their money was stolen.
00:47:57.260 You know, there's a bunch of articles about poor Elon.
00:47:59.380 Elon, he got picked off, but he got picked off by the political class, right?
00:48:04.240 This money, I guess, but stolen and nothing happened.
00:48:07.040 At least Elon and them had volunteers under their professionals and got it done.
00:48:10.880 Because you see by the massive turnout.
00:48:13.840 When I say massive turnout, I think President Trump's going to come out to the exact same.
00:48:16.820 $74 million, maybe higher.
00:48:19.340 Higher.
00:48:19.920 My crack analytical department tells me.
00:48:23.100 Higher.
00:48:23.720 $74 million.
00:48:24.160 What a number.
00:48:26.220 You're telling me a guy lost.
00:48:27.660 Think about this for a second.
00:48:30.200 You can't get off this because it gets back to, you got to go back to the railhead.
00:48:34.320 It's like a doctor or surgeon getting to the disease.
00:48:36.440 You can't just deal the symptoms.
00:48:37.680 You got to get to the root cause of the disease.
00:48:39.540 Left is always saying, let's get to root causes.
00:48:41.160 We need root causes.
00:48:42.160 We need root causes.
00:48:42.680 We're going to get to root causes of Alex Wagner.
00:48:45.640 Take your number two pencil out and write this down.
00:48:48.220 Get your little notebook.
00:48:50.480 You're perky.
00:48:51.200 It's like your first day at school.
00:48:52.380 Got your, you know, your mom packed some sandwiches for you in your lunchbox.
00:48:56.020 No, Alex, I'm kidding.
00:48:58.320 I'm not trying to be the patriarchy.
00:49:01.000 Right?
00:49:02.420 I didn't play the Tucker thing.
00:49:03.820 We were talking about spanking the daughter.
00:49:05.200 We're not trying to be the, you know, we're not trying to be the patriarchy.
00:49:07.680 We're not.
00:49:08.700 I'm not trying to mansplain to you.
00:49:10.080 I am not.
00:49:13.560 We'll have Natalie Winters.
00:49:14.700 She's 23.
00:49:15.420 She'll come on and she'll explain it to you this afternoon.
00:49:17.240 We'll talk.
00:49:17.620 We'll deconstruct the patriarchy part of it.
00:49:22.440 It's the institutions that have become detached from the lived experience of American citizens.
00:49:29.820 In globalization, this is where we had to cut the part for brevity, but Harris is talking about America's an idea.
00:49:39.120 America's an idea.
00:49:41.020 She's channeling Paul Ryan.
00:49:42.500 America's an idea.
00:49:43.420 That's all the crap you heard from the National Review crowd.
00:49:46.960 America's an idea.
00:49:48.860 It ain't an idea.
00:49:49.980 America, it's a country with borders and land and people in a civic society that underpins this, the little generals of the civic society, as Edmund Burke said it.
00:50:07.620 The Kiwanis Club and the bowling league and the church softball league and little league and, you know, the Irish dancing, everything that makes up community.
00:50:17.120 Your institutions, by the way, which had middle class working class, people got into not just elites, but they became part of the credential class, the enforcement mechanism for the oligarchs.
00:50:32.020 Haven't you seen that, girl?
00:50:33.240 Look in the mirror and understand what you've dedicated your life to.
00:50:38.080 The enslavement of your fellow citizens.
00:50:41.240 One of the four beasts saying, come and see.
00:50:48.060 And the little guy, you didn't listen to him in 16 and Trump was a fascist and a dictator.
00:50:55.440 All this, an anti-democratic, all her democratic, and you can't, you know, the popular vote because the electoral college is racist and fascist and xenophobic and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
00:51:02.540 We're going to blow you out in the popular vote.
00:51:05.020 The working class, black men, Hispanic families, Hispanic men, the Arab American men in Michigan, the Somalians in Minneapolis, white working class, Scotch Irish, Italians, Hispanics from the Rio Grande Valley.
00:51:27.500 Alex, what they did on Tuesday is give you the middle finger and say, suck on this.
00:51:35.780 We're tired of it.
00:51:38.160 And this guy named Trump, who for the last four years you've tried to destroy, comes across to us as a warrior, comes across to us as a gladiator, comes across us as a leader.
00:51:53.800 Because why is the man trying to destroy him?
00:51:59.460 Like you've destroyed our communities and you've destroyed our families and you've destroyed our jobs and you've destroyed our ability to stand on our own two feet without the government and say, yes, this is mine.
00:52:11.200 I've worked for this.
00:52:12.060 I'm going to pass this down to my children and they're going to pass it down to their children.
00:52:17.080 So people are not here for five and six generations and have nothing and own nothing.
00:52:21.960 And what they have, you sprinkle out like the French aristocracy.
00:52:30.820 I detest you people.
00:52:36.720 Short break.
00:52:39.220 You owe back taxes, right?
