Transcript

00:00:00.000 Saturday, the president issued a memorandum called preventing abuses of the legal system
00:00:04.620 and the federal court. And this was President Trump saying that his administration, the attorney
00:00:10.240 general and the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security could decide on their own if
00:00:16.780 legal cases filed by certain lawyers or law firms were frivolous. And then what's extraordinary here
00:00:22.320 was that they could then enact sanctions against the law firm. And one of the key things that came
00:00:26.580 out over the weekend was there was this criticism of a law firm that sort of settled with Trump,
00:00:30.940 Paul Weiss. They were one of these law firms that were targeted. And it wasn't just that,
00:00:35.340 you know, the Trump administration is talking about taking away Paul Weiss's federal contracts.
00:00:40.120 They said that any company that continued to work with Paul Weiss would have its federal contracts
00:00:46.660 taken away. And the head of that law firm said that he settled with the White House because
00:00:51.440 they were going to be forced out of business. Steve Bannon said last week, the goal is to
00:00:56.480 bankrupt law firms that challenged this administration. No president has done this.
00:01:02.600 Ronald Reagan didn't do this. George H.W. Bush, George Bush didn't do this. And so it's just
00:01:08.420 unprecedented and alarming to a lot of lawyers and legal experts.
00:01:12.640 So the head of Paul Weiss, and this is the firm that Trump had leveled an executive order against
00:01:19.540 that essentially had crippled the firm's ability to do business, sent a long message to his staff
00:01:26.400 to his fellow attorneys at his firm on Sunday. And it was the second time since Thursday that he had
00:01:33.680 sent out one of these. And in that message, he tried to explain why was it that he had gone into
00:01:40.460 the Oval Office and made this deal with Donald Trump to end this executive order. He had taken a lot
00:01:47.440 of heat about it in the press and in the legal world for doing this. And that was especially acute
00:01:54.640 because he himself had been such a prominent Democrat. He was someone who raised money for
00:02:02.080 Joe Biden. His firm had helped prepare Kamala Harris for the vice presidential debate. And he himself
00:02:10.120 had tried to harness the powers of the legal community against Donald Trump when he was president
00:02:14.520 during his first term. And in his message was a pretty revealing claim. And that was that even
00:02:22.920 though judges in, you know, in the federal level, or at least one judge has said that this executive
00:02:30.540 order is no good, it was too risky for the firm to actually go to court to fight that because they
00:02:37.600 would have lost their clients, that the firm's clients would have thought that the firm was
00:02:44.280 persona non grata with the government, was out of favor with the administration, and it would take
00:02:50.520 its legal work elsewhere. And to me, it showed a remarkable power that Trump has developed in his
00:02:57.800 executive orders, that he was able to get a firm that easily could have gone to court to fight something
00:03:03.500 to instead go to the Oval Office and make a deal with him, a deal in which they committed to giving
00:03:08.920 $40 million in pro bono legal services to causes that Trump himself has championed.
00:03:15.900 Front pages of the papers today, you've got the New York Times. The Times has a picture of the Pope
00:03:20.980 on the front page, also talking about how disturbing it is that law firms that may not agree with the
00:03:27.440 president being targeted. David Rhodes here to talk about that. Also, Wall Street Journal editorial page
00:03:33.360 at the top, gelling of Erdogan rival Spurs protests in Turkey, and it really does. And also, very
00:03:40.200 interesting, a headline right here that's really, we also are seeing in the Financial Times this morning
00:03:47.140 too, that people are starting to park their money outside of U.S. stocks, or go long-time fans of U.S.
00:03:55.160 stocks are parking their money elsewhere. This is on the front page of the Financial Times,
00:03:59.340 Trump terror of tremors shatter Wall Street's faith in American exceptionalism. It's something that we
00:04:05.200 were talking about on Friday, and it really is remarkable what a couple of months difference
00:04:11.960 makes. I know you, Mika, you saw when I came back from Britain, came back from Europe, and I was
00:04:17.560 talking about how they were in awe of our economy in December, and just saying, my God, there's no way
00:04:23.720 we can compete with you. You have all the animal spirits. We've lost all the animal spirits. It's
00:04:28.620 really, it's just the opposite now. I was speaking yesterday to a man who has an American who has
00:04:34.140 business in the U.S., but also in Germany, and just talking about the fact that in Germany, things have
00:04:41.980 been so flat, but now they're waking up to history and understanding the United States doesn't seem to
00:04:48.640 want to be there to help them out. The chilling effect is already there, even if indeed a judge
00:04:54.120 does step in, a court does step in. The message has been sent by this White House. If you defy us,
00:04:59.560 we're going to make your life miserable. Now, the law firm like this, clients in that law firm now may
00:05:04.980 think twice. Do we really want to work with them? Maybe we'll go somewhere else now, somewhere less
00:05:09.080 controversial. So there could be a real issue for that law firm. There could be a chilling effect
00:05:13.840 elsewhere in the legal community. And Mika, we talked about this on Friday as well, but this is
00:05:18.960 one of the top examples, just about, frankly, how much more clever the Trump administration is being
00:05:24.760 this time around in terms of using the levers of government, the levers of power, creative ways to get
00:05:31.400 that retribution, to get that revenge, and to defy others, to challenge them.
00:05:36.360 This is the primal scream of a dying regime. Pray for our enemies, because we're going medieval on
00:05:47.380 these people. I got a free shot, all these networks lying about the people. The people have had a
00:05:54.240 belly full of it. I know you don't like hearing that. I know you've tried to do everything in the
00:05:57.920 world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it. It's going to happen. And where do people like
00:06:01.520 that go to share the big line? MAGA Media. I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people
00:06:09.140 had a conscience. Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose? If that answer is to save my
00:06:17.080 country, this country will be saved. War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:06:24.280 It's Monday, 24 March in the year of our Lord 2025. If you defy us, we will make your life miserable.
00:06:38.820 It's not about defying, and it's not about having, what they say had some disagreements. This was full
00:06:43.700 on the legal apparatus of this country, which is completely run by left-wingers. And Paul Weiss,
00:06:52.660 and this is what I love about this, we're getting, we're now getting down to it, both on the financial
00:06:59.560 side and on the legal apparatus and taking on the administrative state and the deep state.
00:07:06.060 President Trump has a full-on assault on the elites of this country and the elite institutions
00:07:11.800 that have turned against the American people and demonized the American people,
00:07:17.520 made their lives miserable, made their lives economically much harder, took away the futures
00:07:23.300 of their kids. He's now turned around and he's going after that. Hammer and Tong.
00:07:30.520 And they're folding. They're not powerful when you confront them.
00:07:36.400 CNN has an entire article from Stephen Collinson, who is the smartest guy over there.
00:07:43.660 Never seen him on camera. Don't know why that is.
00:07:48.400 Haydn. But he's talking about Trump's going, and he goes through every part of the elites.
00:07:53.420 It could have come from the script. In fact, I think he lifted that from, he must watch War Room
00:07:58.440 because he's lifting it from War Room, but that's okay. We needed to get out to the CNN crowd.
00:08:04.320 President Trump full on. The cabinet meets at 11, this alternative.
00:08:09.160 Cabinet meets at 11 o'clock. We will go live there to see if President Trump does one of his open-ended
00:08:16.680 press avails when the cabinet's seated. House is back at noon. Senate's back, I think, this afternoon
00:08:23.260 or this evening. They've now got to deal with all the issues they've left open, which is basically
00:08:30.120 everything. President Trump, two things. Also, over the weekend, and finally, the Secretary of Commerce,
00:08:37.740 somebody benched him. Thank God. He needs to do more commerce. He should be focused on the
00:08:45.220 reciprocity tariffs on the second. The biggest single geoeconomic pivot in the history of the
00:08:54.200 United States industrial policy since the early 20th century. We don't need any more comments on him
00:09:01.840 on Social Security. Elon Musk is going to be at the cabinet meeting today. I think the first question
00:09:07.280 has got to be on fraud on Social Security. Very straightforward question. What he found on
00:09:11.840 fraud, we need to know, even directionally, because the judge is calling out that we haven't found
00:09:18.600 anything, and you're causing a ruckus, and polling on this is not great. So we have to know if the
00:09:25.660 political pain is worth, if the candle's worth the game. I assume it is. But we need to start putting
00:09:32.780 some facts of that. Also, in the House, there's a decision to be made. And Mike Davis, and I think
00:09:39.420 people are thinking through, is that what the House is trying to do, because remember, they always want
00:09:44.100 as little confrontation as possible. They're backing this Daryl Issa bill that would have set up this,
00:09:53.640 you know, you can't have these judges, these rogue judges give nationwide blanket injunctions or TROs.
00:10:02.280 You go to Rhode Island, you go to San Francisco, you go to these left wing places, get a judge that
00:10:07.100 shuts down the whole country. Yes, that's very important. But that's in lieu of they want to
00:10:11.040 pivot away from the impeachment of the of the judge, of the judge that's in charge of the national
00:10:18.940 security issue. And now we got Venezuela taking planes. And people should know President Trump
00:10:23.940 still sending planes full of terrorist criminals. John Solomon's got a big story up on how that judge
00:10:31.400 went to Idaho, went out to some conference, a junket as a judge full of Trump haters put on by Trump
00:10:39.240 haters. Never Trumpers and Trump haters. He goes as a federal judge. His conflicts of legion,
00:10:46.500 Laura Loomis has done such a great job, not simply his wife, but his daughter. You got another
00:10:51.200 merchant situation. Also, just for and we know he's not going to be removed in the Senate by a trial.
00:10:57.900 It's not the point. Trust the process. The process itself will send a signal to this radical judiciary.
00:11:04.780 You're not untouchable. In fact, you can be touched.
00:11:07.440 That's why this Paul Weiss situation had these law firms that control the nation's capital.
00:11:15.720 And they're so embedded now because they're quasi private equity.
00:11:19.840 The private quasi private equity. Paul Weiss is revenues for a law firm.
00:11:24.220 These are guys a bill by the hour, folks, supposedly two point six billion dollars.
00:11:28.180 And I want to congratulate Boris Epstein in the team that is working on this.
00:11:36.460 Also in the government for coming up. Boris had to put together a pickup team for two years.
00:11:42.220 Why? The law firms fired Trump and fired all the people around Trump.
00:11:47.640 So we can't represent you. Why? Because, oh, our clients said that we do. You're bad people.
00:11:52.640 So they blame the clients. That's what I love about the executive order.
00:11:55.960 You know what the executive order said? We're stripping your security clearance.
00:11:59.500 We're stripping you of any government contracts.
00:12:01.900 Oh, by the way, any client, any client that still continues to retain you will lose their government contracts.
00:12:11.460 There's a big, big controversy over the weekend that the Democratic law firms didn't stick together.
00:12:17.320 Paul Weiss had had these guys in unison before.
00:12:19.960 They didn't stick together. Why? They started going after Paul Weiss's clients.
00:12:24.720 That's when Paul Weiss, the firm, surrendered.
00:12:28.000 I cannot emphasize enough how big this is to shatter.
00:12:33.200 And the head went down as a supplicant, one of the biggest Trump haters.
00:12:37.140 President Trump said, hey, why don't you come down? Let's have a meeting.
00:12:39.660 Let's talk about this face to face where he signed the surrender document.
00:12:43.040 And now you've got these, you've got these grundoons in the law firms, these associates sending emails out.
00:12:49.580 I need over at Skadden Arps, some young woman, I need to know immediately if you're going to kowtow because this concerns my two weeks notice.
00:12:56.600 Hey, baby, don't take two weeks notice. Go now, leave now.
00:12:59.280 Because all those firms are going to be out of business.
00:13:04.440 President Trump is on a full on assault of the elite capture of every institution in this nation.
00:13:12.380 And they fold immediately.
00:13:16.540 He threatens to take the money away from Colombia and just a taste.
00:13:19.500 It was 400 million dollars. They get billions.
00:13:22.900 60 percent foreign students.
00:13:24.800 Your kids don't have a shot.
00:13:26.220 All these universities, all these institutions, your taxpayer dollars, your kids are on the carrier battle groups and in the Hindu Kush and in Romania with the 101st.
00:13:40.440 On Okinawa with the Marines and Korea everywhere.
00:13:45.520 Your kids, sons and daughters, protect them.
00:13:47.860 Your tax money goes to underwrite it.
00:13:49.700 Your pension money goes to finance it.
00:13:51.820 You are the guarantor of all this.
00:13:57.440 And you're abused by these elite institutions that go out of their way to screw you and your children.
00:14:03.960 That day's over.
00:14:05.300 Trump is like Thor with a hammer.
00:14:09.220 The lesson that we should take if they're confronted and exposed, they will fold immediately because they're gutless cowards for too long.
00:14:16.600 This is why the media is folded.
00:14:17.660 For too long, they've had all the power and rubbed your nose in it.
00:14:22.540 But when we take power back and turn the guns on them, they're not that tough.
00:14:28.200 They're a bunch of gutless cowards going all out of this way to destroy this nation and destroy working class people.
00:14:33.800 And now you've got cosplay.
00:14:35.720 Bernie and AOC cosplay running around phony populism.
00:14:41.320 Hey, you can't have populism if you are part of the problem that allowed 10 million illegal alien invaders here to destroy the wages of Hispanics and African Americans.
00:14:53.600 You're as phony as you've ever been.
00:14:56.700 Short break.
00:14:57.520 Back in a moment.
00:14:58.080 You don't go out and buy a life jacket when the boat is already sinking.
00:15:04.100 And you don't buy gold when the economy has already collapsed.
00:15:07.720 Clearly, others are heeding this advice as gold hit an all-time high the first part of 2025 multiple times.

00:16:12.300 Saturday, the president issued a memorandum called Preventing Abuses of the Legal System and the Federal Court.
00:16:18.200 And this was President Trump saying that his administration, the attorney general and the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, could decide on their own if legal cases filed by certain lawyers or law firms were frivolous.

00:17:06.380 Steve Bannon said last week the goal is to bankrupt law firms that challenge this administration.
00:17:13.300 No president has done this.
00:17:15.520 Ronald Reagan didn't do this.
00:17:17.220 George H.W. Bush, George Bush didn't do this.
00:17:19.840 And so it's just unprecedented.
00:17:22.900 They didn't do it.
00:17:24.180 It's unprecedented.
00:17:25.140 They didn't do it because it was all controlled opposition.
00:17:27.120 And the reason Ronald Reagan didn't do it is because Jim Baker and that Bush crowd were running the deal.
00:17:33.160 And he's part of his big law firm, big law firm guy.
00:17:39.740 If your clients continue to retain you, we will pull their government contracts.
00:17:46.280 Boom.
00:17:46.720 This also shows you how many are on the tit.
00:17:50.500 This is Ed Dow's going to join me.
00:17:52.420 Scott Besson.
00:17:53.300 Finally, we went on offense.
00:17:54.760 Finally, we went on offense over the weekend.
00:17:59.060 With Scott Besson laying out exactly the debacle that Biden has left the country, left working class people.
00:18:07.980 And AOC and Bernie, who voted for all of it, had the gall to run around.
00:18:13.540 And now they're all against the billionaires.
00:18:15.360 They're all against the oligarchs.
00:18:16.200 You created the oligarchs.
00:18:17.620 You underwrote the oligarchs.
00:18:18.760 You're the oligarchs, bitches.
00:18:23.240 So don't sit there and tell me how populist you are.
00:18:27.260 Listen to Bernie's speech.
00:18:28.460 It's so phony.
00:18:29.840 And delivered with so little energy.
00:18:32.540 So all the Bernie bros.
00:18:33.420 You want to sign up for that again?
00:18:34.660 It had two shots of the Clinton mafia.
00:18:37.360 The Clinton neoliberal neocon apparatus.
00:18:39.560 Two shots.
00:18:40.300 Two clear shots.
00:18:41.460 0 for 2.
00:18:41.980 Totally and completely phony.
00:18:45.680 Of course, Trump's going after the institutions of the elites.
00:18:51.320 Because the elites have sold out this country and used the institutions to suppress the American people and the American worker full stop.
00:18:58.560 You heard any of that?
00:18:59.980 In Denver and Tucson and Tempe, you heard any of that?
00:19:04.760 They're the controlled opposition for the elites.
00:19:07.920 AOC and Bernie.
00:19:09.200 Continue to skip around.
00:19:10.240 Go around.
00:19:10.760 Go draw your crowds.
00:19:11.700 It's all fine.
00:19:12.520 Good.
00:19:13.840 It leads nowhere.
00:19:15.980 It leads you in the same cul-de-sac.
00:19:17.540 Axios has got the.
00:19:19.540 Has a report of how deep.
00:19:20.900 How bad it is for the Democratic Party to look for in the internal polling.
00:19:27.200 You're going to go after the oligarchs.
00:19:28.700 You are the front folks for the oligarchs.
00:19:31.860 They hide behind you.
00:19:34.200 As you backed them with legislation.
00:19:36.080 As you backed them with executive orders.
00:19:37.780 As you backed them with spending.
00:19:38.960 As soon as Trump.
00:19:41.640 You go after the law firms.
00:19:43.840 As soon as you tell them.
00:19:46.120 You're pulling their government.
00:19:47.560 Access to government contracts.
00:19:49.160 And their clients.
00:19:50.140 This is the brilliance.
00:19:51.560 And their clients.
00:19:52.540 Access to government contracts.
00:19:53.840 They collapse.
00:19:56.660 They ain't so big.
00:19:57.960 It ain't so tough.
00:19:58.920 Ain't got that government money.
00:20:01.660 And that's going to get back.
00:20:02.920 You're going to have so much smoke.
00:20:06.880 Blow up your keister in the next couple of weeks.
00:20:08.720 About spending.
00:20:09.600 And cutting spending.
00:20:10.460 And doing everything with spending.
00:20:11.740 We're not going to get rid of inflation.
00:20:15.380 You're not going to get rid of this debacle.
00:20:17.080 You're not going to rejuvenate Main Street.
00:20:19.900 Until we stop this massive government spending.
00:20:24.220 Maybe the way to do it.
00:20:25.280 Is just raise the billionaires taxes.
00:20:27.860 And the corporation.
00:20:28.580 Say hey.
00:20:29.240 Here's what we'll do.
00:20:30.480 Until we get to a balanced budget.
00:20:33.300 We'll just.
00:20:34.000 We'll raise your taxes.
00:20:36.540 Until we hit balance.
00:20:37.760 Balanced budget.
00:20:38.540 We'll do that.
00:20:39.600 Okay.
00:20:39.940 We'll do that.
00:20:41.340 And.
00:20:42.000 And when we.
00:20:43.260 You know.
00:20:43.980 Until.
00:20:44.660 If we get there.
00:20:45.420 Start taking your taxes down.
00:20:47.740 As you get there with growth.
00:20:50.600 You got to put the fear of God in them.
00:20:52.120 That's the lesson the last couple of days.
00:20:54.040 Columbia.
00:20:54.920 Big tough Columbia.
00:20:56.780 Oh we're going to do this.
00:20:57.600 We're going to do this.
00:20:58.280 We don't care if we got these Muslim Brotherhood.
00:21:00.640 Punks.
00:21:01.720 Trying to shut down.
00:21:03.200 You know.
00:21:03.460 Burn the American flag.
00:21:04.920 Trying to shut down the university.
00:21:06.140 At university.
00:21:06.780 It's 60%.
00:21:07.380 With government.
00:21:08.220 Bays and dollars.
00:21:09.380 Your taxpayer money.
00:21:11.000 60% foreign students.
00:21:14.680 You know.
00:21:15.060 I love the fact that we have foreign students here.
00:21:16.620 But hey.
00:21:16.920 Just like H-1B visas.
00:21:18.100 Maybe you got to take a time out.
00:21:19.180 Let's fill that place with American citizens.
00:21:20.860 Of every color.
00:21:22.580 Race.
00:21:23.000 Ethnicity.
00:21:23.480 Let's fill it up.
00:21:25.300 Let's get all there.
00:21:26.020 Let's get them American citizens.
00:21:28.360 Not on a student visa.
00:21:30.000 American citizens.
00:21:30.820 Let's do it across the country.
00:21:31.900 Let's try it.
00:21:32.480 Why not try it for a year?
00:21:35.380 So the universities are hurting for money.
00:21:37.740 Guess what?
00:21:38.780 Cut the salary of the tenured professors.
00:21:40.460 Making too much money anyway.
00:21:42.920 How do I know they're making too much money?
00:21:44.400 Because none of the kids can pay back the student loans.
00:21:46.320 They're not learning anything.
00:21:47.660 They're going to go out in the world and actually be productive.
00:21:52.840 Let's do that.
00:21:55.160 Just take a year.
00:21:57.480 American citizens only.
00:21:58.580 How's that?
00:21:59.840 You can get federal money.
00:22:01.180 You can get taxpayer money if you've got 100% American students.
00:22:03.900 I'm not against the foreign students.
00:22:07.160 What I'm against is public institutions that you pay for that have 60% foreign students.
00:22:14.000 Your kids don't even get a shot.
00:22:15.820 You underwrite it.
00:22:17.120 Your pension fund money finances it.
00:22:19.060 Your life insurance money finances it.
00:22:21.080 And your kids, they send another carry battle group over to the Red Sea for the Houthis to shoot at.
00:22:27.020 Who's on that?
00:22:27.980 Well, trust me.
00:22:29.280 I'll tell you who's not on that.
00:22:30.840 And that's the punks at Columbia.
00:22:33.560 The American citizen punks at Columbia.
00:22:36.860 And who's shooting at it?
00:22:39.840 Some of the foreign students or their acolytes or people that have affinity to their beliefs.
00:22:47.340 I can tell it by looking at it.
00:22:49.880 On the commons.
00:22:52.560 President Trump is a full on assault and they're pushing back.
00:22:55.520 That's what this judge's insurrection.
00:22:57.560 Because they control an elitist institution of the law schools.
00:23:00.480 They control the big law firms that are all stocked by the top law schools.
00:23:05.340 It's a whole system.
00:23:07.760 It's a whole system.
00:23:08.820 And that judge at the top.
00:23:10.040 And that's why I say, hey, I love ISA.
00:23:11.700 But if it takes away, if Johnson's going to use that to pat us on the head, we don't need a pat.
00:23:15.680 Let's go full impeachment.
00:23:17.640 Why not?
00:23:18.700 Let's just get it out there.
00:23:19.680 The impeachment process itself will expose it to the American people.
00:23:22.340 John Solomon's stories and Laura Looma's stories and all this investigative reporting.
00:23:26.200 You'll be out there in the public record.
00:23:27.840 And we'll get primetime coverage right there all day long.
00:23:31.420 Let's see what they're like.
00:23:33.660 Don't hide from it.
00:23:35.000 Run towards it.
00:23:36.040 Grasp it.
00:23:36.680 If our history of our movement shows us anything, we're winning when we're on offense.
00:23:41.600 What's this crouched position?
00:23:43.080 I'll tell you right now, it's not looking good in Wisconsin.
00:23:47.140 It's not looking good down that Florida race for Waltz's seat.
00:23:49.960 Why?
00:23:50.620 We're in a crouched position.
00:23:53.080 It's time to go back up and get on offense like we were in the fall of 2024.
00:23:57.660 We're proud of this.
00:24:01.780 But it has to be for the American people and for the American workers.
00:24:04.720 We got to get some semblance of ordering this thing.
00:24:07.920 Don't we have to see where the cuts are, even directionally.
00:24:10.660 Just tell me directionally.
00:24:13.400 We're at $50 billion, $100 billion, $10 billion.
00:24:17.460 Judge is saying on Social Security, we're at zero.
00:24:19.960 I know that's not true, so let's do it.
00:24:21.560 Let's get it on the table.
00:24:23.320 That's, to me, a big item of the cabinet meeting ought to be that.
00:24:30.160 And also, the White House, make a decision.
00:24:34.040 Do you want it back to ISA, Bill?
00:24:35.620 No, because the House can't handle, too.
00:24:38.320 They got the ISA to deflect from the impeachment.
00:24:42.280 Or are we going to be Trumpian and let's go, let's impeach the guy.
00:24:46.240 He's trying to step in the middle of the president being commander-in-chief.
00:24:50.980 Hell, Venezuela's taking the planes now.
00:24:53.820 And Tom Homan said, hey, they're not going to listen to the judges.
00:24:55.920 They're going to roll.
00:24:56.320 So if we're going to have a constitutional crisis, let's just have it now.
00:24:59.800 Why wait?
00:25:00.420 Roberts and ACB, they don't want to handle any of this stuff.
00:25:06.440 The ones they've done so far, they've kind of deferred to the opponents.
00:25:12.000 Why delay this?
00:25:14.380 Why push it back?
00:25:15.220 Confront it now.
00:25:16.040 Confront it now.
00:25:16.840 Confront it now.
00:25:19.220 The history of our movement shows that.
00:25:21.320 Every time we confront it, 75% of the time we win.
00:25:26.560 And even when we lose, it's just temporarily.
00:25:28.860 We've got resilience.
00:25:30.420 We're anti-fragile.
00:25:34.000 Okay, so he wouldn't take it.
00:25:36.800 We'll figure out something else.
00:25:38.480 That's the power of this movement.
00:25:39.860 It's relentless and it's growing.
00:25:42.040 And what feeds it is being on offense, taking down these institutions.
00:25:46.960 This is what they're saying over the weekend.
00:25:48.420 The brain financial times of London.
00:25:51.180 Oh, it could be the end of the dollar empire.
00:25:53.960 Wow.
00:25:54.360 Where did they get that from?
00:25:56.000 Just pure crib from Birchkall and Stephen K.
00:26:02.520 Bannon in the war room.
00:26:04.740 Very, you know, very deep thoughts.
00:26:06.520 They're thinking that it could be the end of the dollar empire.
00:26:09.640 You know what they put it all to?
00:26:12.880 It's classic what the elites do.
00:26:15.180 Because at post-war, we had Bretton Woods and we had the IMF and we set up the World Bank and we set up NATO as a system of alliances and institutions.
00:26:27.420 Yo, dude, if Biden hadn't had nine trillion, which E.J. and Tony's put it today, had nine trillion dollars of spending and deficit and driven purchasing power of the dollar down 22% in four years.
00:26:40.280 It doesn't matter if you got great institutions or no institutions.
00:26:42.820 It's not an institutional thing.
00:26:44.100 That's you, once again, trying to sell the post-war international rules-based order.
00:26:49.400 This comes down to federal spending.
00:26:51.860 The reason that the BRICS are around, the reason they're talking about a potential gold-back collection of securities ain't because the World Bank's not giving them free money, not because the IMF's not out there screwing everything up, not because the NATO's, that the European elites not having to put any money in for their defense.
00:27:08.920 I could go on and on and on about your phony argument about institutions.
00:27:13.260 It's because of massive federal spending, massive deficits.
00:27:21.280 They have to refinance $10 trillion this year.
00:27:24.000 Scott Besson's got to sell.
00:27:26.780 The purchase power of the dollar is down 22% to these people.
00:27:30.520 They're smart enough to get that.
00:27:31.900 They don't care about the World Bank.
00:27:33.200 Yes, that's more money laundering by the elites.
00:27:36.520 Every one of those institutions, a money laundering operation.
00:27:40.220 Whether they work or not work is not the thing.
00:27:42.980 It's not the thing itself.
00:27:44.700 The signal is the massive federal spending.
00:27:48.440 What it got the companies to run for the exits.
00:27:50.520 What it got the law firms.
00:27:51.560 Cut them off of government contracts.
00:27:53.040 Oh my God, it's the end of the world as we know it.
00:27:56.840 Everybody's got their snout in the trough.
00:27:59.940 A trough that you underwrite.
00:28:02.200 And is used to destroy you and your children and your country.

00:29:40.180 Here's your host, Stephen K.
00:29:42.220 Bannon.
00:29:42.660 So go check out Birch Gold, End of the Dollar Empire.
00:29:51.700 Get the real deal.
00:29:53.340 We break all that down, but they're selling.
00:29:56.760 The market's up, what, 500 points this morning when I last looked.
00:30:00.600 It's coming back.
00:30:01.700 Gold's over $3,000.
00:30:02.740 The end of the dollar empire is not related to elite institutions like the World Bank, like the IMF, like NATO.
00:30:13.260 On and on and on is tied to Bretton Woods.
00:30:16.780 Are we going to be the prime reserve currency?
00:30:20.140 It's time to have a national debate about that in the Federal Reserve.
00:30:23.760 I know that.
00:30:24.520 You know that.
00:30:25.880 But the reason they're fleeing it is the 22% drop in purchasing power.
00:30:29.720 These people are not fools.
00:30:30.880 They're quite smart.
00:30:32.620 And they all have people who went to Harvard, Stanford, University of Chicago that got them.
00:30:35.700 And they know how to work in HP 12C.
00:30:40.060 It can give you a net present value.
00:30:42.140 Discounted cash flow.
00:30:44.380 Let me see, boss.
00:30:45.100 Let me do this.
00:30:45.620 Let me put this in there.
00:30:47.360 Americans are spending deficits, $2 trillion a year, $37 trillion in debt.
00:30:50.760 And they go, let me do this quickly.
00:30:52.180 We're getting screwed.
00:30:54.220 They can do that.
00:30:56.980 So they're trying to sell you constantly why these institutions are good for you and your kids and your country and your community.
00:31:03.060 Constantly trying to sell you.
00:31:04.300 Look around.
00:31:05.780 See what you see, the French poet said.
00:31:10.180 See what you see.
00:31:13.060 Don't have a reality distortion field in there.
00:31:16.720 Don't walk around asleep like a bunch of sheeple.
00:31:20.900 Awake.
00:31:21.600 You're an army of the awakened.
00:31:24.480 You're an army of the awakened.
00:31:27.560 And Trump is a battering ram against the elite institutions that have destroyed this republic.
00:31:34.880 The lawlessness, the lawfare.
00:31:36.460 Look at when they're up there saying, this is terrible.
00:31:39.180 You know, they're using these.
00:31:40.660 They could use this law.
00:31:41.700 Look at what you did to the American people for four years.
00:31:45.340 You ain't so tough now.
00:31:46.920 You're groveling for government contracts.
00:31:49.800 Paul Weiss, and all your highfalutin, high moral order, you know, democracy, you're defenders of democracy.
00:31:57.840 All they care about is putting their snout right in the trough.
00:32:02.540 As soon as you mention they ain't getting government contracts, and guess what?
00:32:06.480 None of their clients, genius move, whoever thought that one up.
00:32:12.100 Genius.
00:32:12.500 Not just you, but anybody who retains you is going to be eligible for a government contract.
00:32:19.340 Do you see David Rose say that?
00:32:20.720 It's almost like he had a heart attack.
00:32:22.940 This is the way.
00:32:23.740 You only beat them by hitting them upside the head with a two-by-four.
00:32:28.100 That's a metaphor.
00:32:30.080 Don't want to put their heads on pikes.
00:32:32.480 Metaphor.
00:32:33.600 Metaphor.
00:32:33.960 Metaphor.
00:32:35.700 Oh, so good.
00:32:38.160 Just don't back off.
00:32:39.300 All gas, no brake.
00:32:42.000 Impeach this dude.
00:32:43.100 Don't sit there and get, I said, I'd love the fact, yes, the thing of the rogue judges, and that's important, but it's not as important as putting somebody through the process.
00:32:51.080 You put one through the process, they're all going to be sheep.
00:32:54.380 Put one through the grinder.
00:32:55.680 Let's put the guy that tried to step between the commander-in-chief and his duty of the national security of the United States, of which, I don't know, the polling's 80-20 that we're winning on this one.
00:33:08.500 I think we want that one.
00:33:10.840 Let me see.
00:33:11.800 Let me pick A or B.
00:33:13.160 I'll take B.
00:33:16.000 Don't deflect, Johnson.
00:33:17.740 Grow a set, and let's come in, and let's boom.
00:33:20.760 Let's get on it.
00:33:21.600 Roger Kimball, you've been around the neighborhood a while.
00:33:27.260 Is Stephen Collinson right at CNN?
00:33:30.700 Is this a, is this a, is this a, this is the biggest assault on elite institutions since at least Andrew Jackson, sir?
00:33:41.380 Well, reading that piece, I couldn't help but laugh.
00:33:45.300 It's, it, it is a perfect epitome of the ethic that only we are allowed to do these things.
00:33:55.680 You can't do that.
00:33:56.980 Only we are allowed to do these sorts of things.
00:34:00.080 It's a kind of Mary McCarthy sort of essay.
00:34:04.620 You remember that Mary McCarthy once said about Lillian Hellman, the playwright Lillian Hellman, the communist playwright Lillian Hellman, that everything she said, including the words and and but, were lies.
00:34:21.140 That's what this piece is like.
00:34:22.700 It's, I mean, it's, I mean, it's, it's hilarious, really.
00:34:26.060 I mean, beginning with his deployment of the word elite, what he means by elite is credentialed.
00:34:36.740 It's the credentialed class.
00:34:38.400 It's the class that has, you know, aggregated to itself all of the societal perks and power, and they feel like they are in charge.
00:34:51.420 So, for example, you were mentioning Columbia earlier, you know, somebody organized a joint letter signed, actually, by some people who I know and respect.
00:35:05.340 I'm surprised they signed it.
00:35:07.160 They basically said the government may not threaten funding cuts to pressure recipients into suppressing viewpoints and so on.
00:35:16.060 Well, what has the government been doing ever since, you know, the Great Society, Title VI, Title IX?
00:35:24.200 They said, if you don't do these things that we want you to do, that, you know, transgender bathrooms, having women in sport, men in women's sports, and on and on and on, we'll take your funding away.
00:35:38.220 So that is exactly what Donald Trump is doing here.
00:35:44.080 They said, you know, it's not McCarthy.
00:35:46.980 You know, the New York Times had a piece of this is a McCarthy-ite tactic.
00:35:51.100 No, it's not.
00:35:51.600 He didn't say you're not allowed to say these things.
00:35:54.580 It's just if you do, you're not going to get government funding.
00:35:58.140 Quite right, it seems to me.
00:36:01.840 And then, you know, I mean, this is actually it's an extraordinary.
00:36:04.440 I might write about this essay.
00:36:05.960 I mean, every single line is either a lie or a, you know, a misrepresentation of what's going on.
00:36:15.800 He said, well, the Trump administration is trying to disempower the federal judiciary.
00:36:22.360 No, it's not.
00:36:23.420 Article 2, the first line of Article 2 of the Constitution says the executive power shall be vested in a president of the United States.
00:36:32.660 One, it doesn't say a president of the United States taking hints from district judges in Tennessee or Seattle or Washington.
00:36:43.040 No, it's a president of the United States.
00:36:45.740 And, I mean, the author of this piece talks about alleged gang members.
00:36:52.060 Well, they're not alleged.
00:36:53.140 They are gang members.
00:36:54.300 They're not migrants, as he said.
00:36:55.920 They're illegal immigrants who are raping and murdering and assaulting Americans.
00:37:02.840 I'm, you know, among my little cabinet of world leaders who I admire, Mr. Bukali is, you know, top of the heap.
00:37:13.320 He completely, you know, revolutionized El Salvador.
00:37:19.160 It used to be one of the most dangerous countries in the world.
00:37:22.240 Not anymore.
00:37:23.340 He put him in jail.
00:37:24.240 And I'm glad that these guys from Venezuela who were here trying to assault Americans, I'm glad that they're in that jail.
00:37:32.360 And I don't see how, where this district judge, where all these judges, where do they get the jurisdiction to say that they can impinge upon presidential power, executive power?
00:37:43.060 They somehow feel that if they're sufficiently anti-Trump, that makes them susceptible to, you know, acquiring little bits of executive power.
00:37:55.380 But it doesn't.
00:37:56.520 It's, I mean, it's an extraordinary piece.
00:38:00.100 And I'm glad you called my attention to it.
00:38:02.560 Every line of it, you know, right down to the insinuation of the, you know, the argument, odd Hitlerum, you know, toward the end.
00:38:12.140 He talks about dark parallels between the Trump administration and the tactics of strongman leaders like Viktor Orban.
00:38:19.960 Viktor Orban has transformed his country into, you know, one of the greatest countries in Europe now.
00:38:25.480 It's an extraordinary piece.
00:38:30.080 You're at the forefront of these institutional and how important it is for President Trump to leave our mark, the populist nationalist mark on our institutions, particularly Kennedy Center and other institutions of high culture.
00:38:43.080 Just as an update.
00:38:44.580 So President, so Vice President, so President Trump goes, do we have the President Trump piece at Kennedy Center?
00:38:51.360 Is that ready?
00:38:52.500 Not yet.
00:38:53.780 It is ready.
00:38:54.640 Can we, let's play Trump at Kennedy Center.
00:38:56.900 Okay.
00:38:57.880 Hang on, let's play the clip and I'm going to bring it.
00:38:59.380 Including the seats, the decor, pretty much everything.
00:39:04.880 Needs a lot of work.
00:39:07.200 Mr. President, are you surprised by the reaction that the Vice President got here at the Kennedy Center for the other meeting?
00:39:13.180 I don't know about that.
00:39:14.700 He's the most popular Vice President we've had in years.
00:39:17.600 He's doing a great job.
00:39:18.280 I don't know anything about it.
00:39:19.300 I figured you'd ask him a question.
00:39:21.360 Mr. President, what are we talking about price-wise, to renovate, to bring it up to New York?
00:39:27.140 Oh, we're looking at that, whatever it is.
00:39:29.220 I think, you know, it's such an important part of the fabric of the country and of D.C.
00:39:35.580 So we want to do it right.
00:39:38.300 We'll do it right and we'll do it once.
00:39:41.260 So you want a little picture like this?
00:39:45.960 Perfect.
00:39:46.800 Go ahead.
00:39:47.140 Are you guys ready?
00:39:48.100 Come on.
00:39:48.520 We're good, sir.
00:39:49.060 Sir, if you want to speak to us later, too, when we're closer to that, we'll be right.
00:39:53.300 Perfect.
00:39:53.760 Thank you, press.
00:39:54.280 Right this way.
00:39:54.680 President Trump very subtly there, sending the message where he goes.
00:40:00.460 Very subtle from the presidential box.
00:40:03.300 Roger, it was very important for President Trump to go, and he's now chairman of the board,
00:40:09.100 Rick Grinnell's president.
00:40:10.020 But just the trend line, so you know, J.D., the vice president, went with his wife, the
00:40:16.300 second lady, last week to see the symphony, and they were booed by the paladins of the
00:40:23.300 administration of the state.
00:40:23.980 However, I've got breaking news.
00:40:26.000 Sergio Gore and his posse went last night to the Mark Twain Awards where Conan O'Brien got
00:40:32.580 the award, and they weren't booed.
00:40:34.200 People just glared at them for 20 minutes as they walked into the administration's box.
00:40:39.820 So the trend lines.
00:40:40.760 How important is this for take culture back, sir?
00:40:44.860 I mean, it's, you know, you mentioned Andrew Breitbart earlier.
00:40:48.260 Breitbart was right.
00:40:49.880 Politics is downstream from culture.
00:40:52.020 We need to recolonize American culture, restore it.
00:40:58.340 And, you know, the Kennedy senator is one beachhead.
00:41:02.560 I mean, I thought it was hilarious to return to this CNN piece that they talked about elite
00:41:09.860 bashing sentiments that Trump is expressing by, for example, naming Robert F. Kennedy, you
00:41:17.100 know, to his position.
00:41:19.340 And then they add, of course, a vaccine skeptic, not really explaining what Kennedy's position
00:41:23.460 on that is.
00:41:23.960 But the idea that Robert F. Kennedy is, you know, a member of, you know, an elite bashing
00:41:31.800 coterie is hilarious.
00:41:35.560 But and the idea that somehow Trump's whatever he's going to do at the Kennedy Center, that
00:41:41.660 he is attacking a bastion of high culture is ridiculous, too.
00:41:45.340 I mean, this is the place that has, you know, drag queens for divas and that sort of stuff.
00:41:52.720 It's, you know, it's it's it's it is a in a playground for the leftist credentialed class.
00:42:01.160 And it would be nice to take that playground back for our own.
00:42:05.740 I mean, again, I just want to stress that the people should understand that what is actually
00:42:12.220 happening now is the reason that the left is so up in arms is that they're not used to
00:42:17.800 this.
00:42:18.400 Only we are allowed to do these things.
00:42:20.600 They say, you know, you can't do it.
00:42:23.280 Only we are allowed to do this.
00:42:25.040 But Trump has has taken a different page and he's doing it to them.
00:42:30.180 And good for him.
00:42:31.280 Roger, where do people get you where they get your writings, your columns, your social media,
00:42:36.420 all of it?
00:42:37.340 Oh, yes.
00:42:37.900 Well, I'm at Roger Kimball at Twitter or X and I write for a bunch of places.
00:42:42.580 So, yeah.
00:42:44.880 Yeah.
00:42:45.240 There you go.
00:42:45.920 Thank you, brother.
00:42:47.420 Great.
00:42:47.720 Take care.
00:42:48.140 No better way to kick off the week.
00:42:50.120 Thank you, sir.
00:42:50.800 Roger Kimball was Andrew Breitbart run towards the fire.
00:42:55.800 Andrew Breitbart said cultures up from politics run towards the fire.
00:43:00.140 It's got that great.
00:43:00.800 In fact, the engine room sent that.
00:43:02.020 Look at that right there.
00:43:02.740 Is that amazing?
00:43:03.300 Andrew Breitbart.
00:43:05.920 Head toward the fire because you'll set an example that you're unafraid.
00:43:12.360 That's what we need right now.
00:43:13.800 Not that we need to be reminded of that.
00:43:16.120 Fixed bayonets.
00:43:18.880 We've got a lot of work to do.
00:43:20.700 All the work to do.
00:43:25.380 And this audience can do it.
00:43:27.840 The history is you've done it before over and over and over again.

00:45:12.900 You will inspire other people.
00:45:14.180 That's the philosophy of MAGA.

00:45:39.760 And the reciprocity of the tariffs are what is looking out for Main Street and for jobs.
00:45:45.800 Hyundai, $20 billion, another factory.
00:45:49.340 Big one in Louisiana announced this morning.
00:45:51.420 I'm going to go through those tomorrow to go, just a capital investment from major companies,
00:45:58.700 not hedge funds, not sovereign wealth funds, not Masasan.
00:46:02.900 I'm talking about big corporations that are doing this.
00:46:07.500 We need you at the ramparts.

00:46:54.580 Go check it out.
00:46:56.240 Scott Besson, we finally started going on offense over the weekend economically to lay out actually
00:47:01.160 what the case is.
00:47:02.060 Let's play Secretary of Treasury.
00:47:03.520 Scott Besson, Ed Dowd is on deck.
00:47:06.220 Let's play it.
00:47:06.660 I think you have a better beat on the fact that this data is not as reliable as other
00:47:13.080 administrations would say they were in order to do whatever it is they wanted to do anyway.
00:47:17.480 So it's sort of like, let me just find the data that justifies what my action is.
00:47:22.480 And part of why you can't, I think, tell the story is, do you trust the GDP numbers?
00:47:26.780 Do you trust nonfarm payrolls?
00:47:28.040 Do you think these are reliable enough for you to act on behalf of the United States?
00:47:32.980 No, look, they're subject to big revisions over time.
00:47:38.360 And I thought one of the big mistakes the Biden administration made, and thank goodness they
00:47:43.060 made it, was they refused to, they went with the numbers, not what the American people were
00:47:50.160 feeling.
00:47:50.480 They said, no, it's a vibe session, and you really don't understand how good you have
00:47:55.840 it.
00:47:56.220 This has happened.
00:47:57.120 This has happened.
00:48:00.200 Okay.
00:48:02.420 One of the ways they're misstated, Ed Dowd is here.
00:48:04.960 You've got your econometric model we're going to talk about, and we're going to hold you
00:48:07.980 through the break.
00:48:09.060 Cabinet meetings are supposed to start at 11.
00:48:10.420 I don't think they're quite moving around yet.
00:48:13.140 We're going to jump in there live if the president opens up to media, which we hope he does, because
00:48:18.060 it's always great on some of the Q&A.
00:48:19.480 So we're standing by, but we have Ed Dowd and Cary Lake.
00:48:24.020 Ed's with us.
00:48:24.840 Cary Lake's coming up.
00:48:26.220 Ed, right there, the Biden, they always put out and they always go back and recast the
00:48:33.940 labor number.
00:48:35.280 But the GDP number is also phony that they gave us.
00:48:38.160 Number one, it's phony is that you do have to go in and look at GDP, I think, without massive
00:48:43.340 federal spending when you're running these kind of massive deficits.
00:48:45.980 Your thoughts, sir?
00:48:47.840 I totally agree.
00:48:48.920 Look, what Scott was referring to during 2024 was the fact that GDP numbers were positive.
00:48:55.400 But when we peel back the onion, it was illegal immigration, which is a huge elephant in the
00:49:00.680 room, new economic variable.
00:49:02.340 You can't bring in 10 million individuals officially.
00:49:06.400 That's the border encounters.
00:49:07.600 It's probably more like 15 funded by NGOs and giving government goodies and not affect the
00:49:12.680 economy temporarily.
00:49:13.840 And government spending, in addition, government payroll jobs added.
00:49:18.860 The real wage growth was minus 2% going into the election for the middle class.
00:49:24.680 That happened under Ronald Reagan.
00:49:26.320 He was elected in the landslide.
00:49:27.900 Bill Clinton had the same dynamic in 92.
00:49:29.900 And so despite the rosy GDP numbers we had last year, the real average person was feeling it
00:49:37.960 in their wallet.
00:49:38.660 And that was why one of the major reasons why Donald Trump swept in there.
00:49:43.160 So Scott Besson is absolutely right.
00:49:47.120 Walk me through that.
00:49:48.200 Walk me through that one more time.
00:49:49.960 Just hit that again.
00:49:51.320 What was that?
00:49:52.040 I just want to make sure I understand it.
00:49:53.380 On the real wage growth?
00:49:58.660 Yep.
00:49:59.940 Yeah.
00:50:00.240 So basically, if you look at real wage growth, it was minus 2%.
00:50:04.740 And every time it hits that number, there's a presidential change.
00:50:08.840 1980, real wage growth was minus 2%.
00:50:12.200 Ronald Reagan swept in.
00:50:14.960 Landslide.
00:50:16.100 Then, you know, he restructured the economy.
00:50:18.120 He had a two-year recession.
00:50:19.180 And then he restructured it, and we came out into a boom.
00:50:25.880 Bill Clinton had a minus 2% real wage growth when Bush was ousted.
00:50:31.400 And Carvel famously said, it's the economy, stupid.
00:50:34.740 And coming into this election, we had the same dynamic, minus 2% real wage growth.
00:50:39.060 And if you look at this chart here from our economic report, you can see the disparity
00:50:44.100 between the PMI and our GDP growth.
00:50:46.940 It's usually PMI and GDP growth track and recessions track.
00:50:51.160 We probably should have had a recession in 2024.
00:50:54.460 We didn't.
00:50:55.400 And it was held up by massive government spending, crisis-level deficit spending.
00:51:00.720 We had the same deficit spending that we did during the Great Financial Crisis.
00:51:05.260 What was the crisis?
00:51:06.200 The crisis was we did Biden reelected.
00:51:08.060 Hang on a second, Ed.
00:51:12.580 We're going to hold you through the break and go through your new model.
00:51:15.440 What disturbed me, the reason I wanted to have you on here, the Fed the other day talked about,
00:51:19.440 and everybody's focused on a cut.
00:51:21.260 Hey, I'm not a fan of a cut right now because of what it will do to inflation and prices.
00:51:27.400 But they talked about two cuts later in the year.
00:51:29.360 But the buried lead, no one talked about it.
00:51:33.880 They downgraded the growth.
00:51:35.800 They said the growth was going to be under 2%, 1.75%.
00:51:38.880 And kind of left it at that.
00:51:41.740 Said it was tied to tariffs, which is nonsense.
00:51:45.120 Tariffs is what bringing the massive capital investment in the United States from all these major companies.
00:51:51.580 They're coming back.
00:51:52.700 They're reshoring.
00:51:54.800 They're reshoring.
00:51:56.220 We leave you with the right stuff.
00:52:01.500 We're going to be back in 90 seconds.
00:52:03.940 President Trump has planned on a cabinet meeting this morning.
00:52:08.380 Elon Musk is supposedly going to be there.
00:52:11.240 We hope they start talking about Doge and putting some meat on the bones of where this fraud's coming from because we need to see it.
00:52:20.080 That will put our critics on a back foot.
00:52:24.300 It's time to go on offense.
00:52:25.780 Treasury's going on offense.
00:52:27.640 President Trump's going on offense.
00:52:30.180 Mike Davis and company are offense.
00:52:32.900 We need the House, the Senate, other parts of the administration.
00:52:37.220 Offense, offense, offense.
00:52:39.380 Fixed bayonets.
00:52:41.240 They will crumble if confronted.
00:52:44.060 Our opponents are gutless.
00:52:46.140 Our opponents have no platform to stand on.
00:52:48.440 Our opponents are anti-American worker, anti-American.
00:52:52.280 The April 15th tax deadline is coming, and it's coming fast.
00:52:59.840 Do you have unfiled tax returns?
00:53:01.740 Can't pay the IRS?
