Bannon's War Room - Episode 4818： The Government Shuts Down

00:00:00.000 this is the primal scream of a dying regime pray for our enemies because we're going to

00:00:09.920 medieval on these people here's not got a free shot all these networks lying about the people

00:00:16.520 the people have had a belly full of it i know you don't like hearing that i know you try to do

00:00:20.680 everything in the world to stop that but you're not going to stop it it's going to happen and

00:00:24.040 where do people like that go to share the big line mega media i wish in my soul i wish that any of

00:00:31.860 these people had a conscience ask yourself what is my task and what is my purpose if that answer

00:00:38.980 is to save my country this country will be saved war room here's your host stephen k band

00:00:47.440 it's wednesday 1 october in the year of our lord 2025 you might ask why no coal open today why why

00:01:02.060 you're not getting our blood pressure up and uh having spit out some of the warpath coffee would

00:01:06.600 be so angry well we're going to get to all that just the structure of the show today the government

00:01:12.560 officially shut down at midnight last night or i guess one minute after midnight or one second

00:01:17.220 after midnight uh we're in a government shutdown a lot a lot traditionally uh a lot of this has been

00:01:23.300 kabuki theater except when president trump shut it down at 18 and then we shut it down in 2013 over

00:01:30.800 obamacare so the two big times in fact president trump's in 18 over the border wall over the uh over

00:01:38.380 the pelosi and uh and schumer uh adamantly refusing to i think it was five billion dollars at the time had

00:01:45.560 the longest government shutdown in history this is different because there's kind of i think a method

00:01:52.440 to president trump's madness here and with rust vote rust vote is going up to the hill today i believe to

00:01:59.400 walk through a plan of taking on the administrative state during this period of shutdown uh schumer who

00:02:07.860 had essentially no leverage and try to bluff his way i believe stepped on the rake uh and now you have

00:02:14.180 a very energized trump administration that is going to do hear what they were limited structurally from

00:02:21.740 doing before there's going to be a press conference on capitol hill in a moment between with majority

00:02:27.480 leader thune and the speaker of the house um the speaker of the house johnson to walk us through the

00:02:34.620 update thune's done something very smart last night he had a couple of votes guess what

00:02:37.900 a couple of democrats or at least the democrat senator one of the democrat senators in nevada

00:02:44.160 voted to keep the government open for the clean cr to the 21st of november and angus king who's an

00:02:50.360 independent basically caucuses with the democrats he's really a democrat who too gutless to say i'm a

00:02:56.960 democrat tries to convince people in mania's independent so here's what we're going to do

00:03:00.920 the presser has not started yet and we are going to when it starts we're going to pick it up wade

00:03:07.880 miller uh who is the uh the individual at uh at uh cra the former marine at cra that russ vote

00:03:15.860 uh has holding fort apache is going to be on here to walk us through the uh the logic of what russ

00:03:22.180 vote is working on we're going to play a cold open uh and then i'll be right back so let's go ahead

00:03:27.320 and play it uh the press conference will start here momentarily i've got wade miller we got a

00:03:32.540 packed show this morning let's go ahead and let it rip there were thousands of years of combat experience

00:03:38.700 collectively in that room as someone who served yourself what were your takeaways tonight

00:03:43.760 well it's one of the more bizarre unsettling national security events i've ever encountered

00:03:51.500 uh the president sounded incoherent exhausted rapidly partisan to speaking to an apolitical

00:04:01.040 institution under the laws of the of the u.s uh the secretary of defense uh gave a rambo lecture

00:04:09.140 uh to an audience that had been at war for 20 years by the way a lot of these men and women have

00:04:14.460 daughters and sons who served in combat and were killed or wounded and then finally i think the

00:04:20.600 secretary of defense basically looked at an audience of it was not just the senior commanders it was a

00:04:25.680 senior enlisted command sergeant majors maybe navy petty officers and said those of you who are minority

00:04:32.840 or women probably got to where you were as a dei choice as opposed to on merit nothing could be farther 1.00

00:04:43.640 from the truth this is the most lethal disciplined effective well trained

00:04:50.800 okay we're going to restart the cold open after the press conference let's go down to capitol hill

00:04:58.000 speaker of the house mike johnson this capital each and every day but today that's not going to be the

00:05:03.820 case today america's boys and girls will walk up to these doors and they'll see something different

00:05:09.160 a sign that says closed until further notice and that's because at midnight democrats followed

00:05:15.900 through on their threat to shut down the united states government as we speak here this morning

00:05:21.640 there are hundreds of thousands of federal workers who are getting their furlough notices

00:05:25.900 nearly half of our civilian workforce is being sent home these are hard-working americans who work

00:05:32.100 for our federal government our troops and our border patrol agents will have to go to work but

00:05:37.040 they'll be working without pay food assistance veterans benefits and vital support for women and 0.99

00:05:42.900 children are all coming to a halt now thankfully president trump is trying to mitigate the damage

00:05:48.680 as much as possible his administration is working to limit the harm to the american people but the longer

00:05:55.620 this goes on the more pain will be inflicted because it is inevitable when the government shuts down

00:06:01.600 the sad thing about it is that every single bit of this was entirely avoidable democrats could have worked

00:06:09.880 with us in a bipartisan manner to avert this unnecessary and very harmful shutdown but instead

00:06:15.440 they did something that is rather shocking to us they prioritized taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal aliens

00:06:22.640 over keeping the government open for american citizens they themselves positioned that as a binary choice

00:06:29.600 and it's patently absurd listen to what the democrats are demanding they demanded in exchange for our

00:06:35.620 simple clean 24-page bipartisan continuing resolution the same one that chuck schumer and the democrats

00:06:43.520 voted for just a few months back in march in exchange for that they rejected it and they demanded

00:06:49.180 something else they wanted us to add over 1.5 trillion dollars in new federal spending paid for of course by hard-working

00:06:57.200 american taxpayers simply for funding the government at current by current by level spending levels we are not going to do that

00:07:05.200 we can't do that we won't do it almost two weeks ago the house did our job in the house we passed a common sense

00:07:11.200 non-partisan bill to keep the government open republicans did our job we had one democrat join us there so it was bipartisan

00:07:18.200 but every other democrat in the house voted to shut the government down and last night 44 democrats in the senate did the same thing

00:07:25.200 this is a clean resolution it would simply buy congress a few more weeks seven weeks to finish the job why do we need that time so that

00:07:33.200 appropriators in both parties can finish their work they've been restoring regular order they passed 12 separate bills out of committee in the house and the senate has done its work as well

00:07:46.200 three bills of the 12 passed in each chamber they don't line up exactly so there's a conference committee constituted the first time in years that that's happened we just need more time because we ran out of clock at the end of the fiscal year

00:08:00.200 September 30th this is very important to note democrats themselves have voted to pass a clean bipartisan CR just like this 13 times in the last few years during the four years of the Biden administration 13 times this happened republicans did the responsible thing even when we were in the minority to keep the government open and today should be no different there is nothing new in this legislation there's no poison pill there's no partisan tricks there's no

00:08:27.200 gimmicks whatsoever the only difference today is the man who is sitting in the oval office rather than work with president trump and republicans to get this job done as our party has done repeatedly in the same situation over the years democrats want to play political games with the lives and the livelihoods of americans the simple truth is democrats and congress have dragged our country into another reckless shutdown to satisfy their far left base that is the truth whether or not the government remains open

00:08:56.200 open or reopens is entirely up to them there's still time for democrats to pass this clean bipartisan bill that's sitting before them and we encourage our democrat colleagues to do that i certainly pray they'll come to their senses soon do the right and responsible thing the reason they will have one more opportunity today is because of the sound leadership is being provided in the u.s senate by our colleagues who are standing here with us this is a joint press conference as you know between leadership

00:09:26.200 and the senate and i'm delighted and i'm delighted to yield to my good friend and an extraordinary leader in the senate leader john thune

00:09:33.200 all right

00:09:35.200 well thank you mr speaker and our house colleagues for doing the work

00:09:41.200 you sent us a clean continuing resolution

00:09:45.200 unfortunately we are here this morning

00:09:48.200 in a government shutdown that democrats wanted

00:09:53.200 chuck schumer at the behest

00:09:56.200 of a bunch of liberal

00:09:58.200 far left activist groups

00:10:00.200 has walked his democrat colleagues into a boxed canyon

00:10:05.200 there's no way out folks

00:10:07.200 there's no way out

00:10:08.200 this could have been avoided

00:10:10.200 it's totally unavoidable

00:10:11.200 and everybody's now asking the question

00:10:13.200 how does this end

00:10:15.200 well it ends

00:10:16.200 when the senate democrats

00:10:18.200 pick this bill up

00:10:20.200 passed by the house of representatives

00:10:22.200 and vote for it

00:10:24.200 it's on the floor of the senate

00:10:26.200 we're gonna vote later this morning

00:10:28.200 on this 24 pages

00:10:30.200 does this look

00:10:31.200 partisan

00:10:33.200 does this look

00:10:34.200 dirty to you 0.94

00:10:36.200 24 pages

00:10:38.200 to fund the government

00:10:40.200 nothing more nothing less nothing else

00:10:42.200 the house kept it simple

00:10:44.200 we've kept it simple in the senate

00:10:46.200 this is something as the speaker noted

00:10:48.200 that 13 times in the past

00:10:49.200 senate democrats have done

00:10:50.200 when they were in the majority

00:10:51.200 and joe biden was in the white house

00:10:53.200 this is a very straightforward issue

00:10:56.200 it's not complicated

00:10:57.200 they want it to end

00:10:59.200 vote with us

00:11:00.200 to open up the government

00:11:02.200 by voting this

00:11:04.200 out of the senate today

00:11:06.200 putting it on president's

00:11:07.200 president trump's desk

00:11:09.200 and he will sign into the law

00:11:10.200 president

00:11:11.200 house republicans

00:11:12.200 senate republicans

00:11:13.200 we're all united on this

00:11:15.200 and what's interesting now

00:11:16.200 is some of the democrats are joining us

00:11:17.200 our vote last night was a bipartisan vote

00:11:19.200 there were three democrats

00:11:20.200 that came over and voted with us

00:11:21.200 because they know this strategy

00:11:23.200 is a losing one

00:11:25.200 and it hurts the american people

00:11:27.200 it's not about who wins or who loses

00:11:29.200 or who gets blamed in all this

00:11:31.200 it's about the american people

00:11:33.200 and they have taken the american people hostage

00:11:35.200 in a way that they think benefits them politically

00:11:38.200 but at the consequence of the cost

00:11:42.200 of what's going to happen to the american families

00:11:44.200 if this government shutdown continues

00:11:47.200 and so i'm glad to be here with our democrat

00:11:49.200 or our republican colleagues

00:11:51.200 our democrat colleagues in the house

00:11:53.200 have been around here

00:11:55.200 the last few days i guess flailing around

00:11:57.200 celebrating

00:11:59.200 celebrating the fact

00:12:01.200 that they voted to shut down the government

00:12:04.200 how ironic

00:12:06.200 this can all end the day folks

00:12:08.200 it needs to end the day

00:12:09.200 we will continue to work together

00:12:11.200 with our house counterparts

00:12:13.200 with the president of the united states

00:12:15.200 to get this government open again

00:12:17.200 on behalf of the american people

00:12:21.200 next up is uh...

00:12:22.200 there he is

00:12:23.200 the leader

00:12:26.200 thank you leader thune

00:12:28.200 today marks day one of the schumer shutdown

00:12:31.200 as speaker johnson pointed out

00:12:33.200 this didn't need to happen

00:12:35.200 house republicans came together weeks ago

00:12:38.200 to prevent a government shutdown

00:12:40.200 we brought the straight forward of a bill

00:12:42.200 as you can have

00:12:43.200 to say let's

00:12:45.200 allow government to be funded for another two months

00:12:48.200 while we negotiate our differences

00:12:50.200 clearly we have differences

00:12:52.200 with democrats right now

00:12:54.200 one of the democrat leaders confirmed yesterday

00:12:57.200 that democrats shut the government down to fund

00:13:00.200 health care for illegal aliens 0.81

00:13:04.200 that is no way

00:13:06.200 to hold the american people hostage

00:13:09.200 over some far left demand

00:13:11.200 you know we had an election in november

00:13:13.200 where the country came together and said

00:13:15.200 let's send to washington leaders who want to solve problems

00:13:19.200 and get our country back on track

00:13:21.200 and we've been working feverishly to do that

00:13:23.200 to get this country back on track

00:13:25.200 to get the economy moving to lower inflation

00:13:27.200 to lower interest rates

00:13:30.200 and democrats just to appease their far left radical base

00:13:33.200 have been voting no every step of the way

00:13:36.200 well today it has consequences

00:13:39.200 because when it came

00:13:41.200 jeffries whipped every democrat to vote no

00:13:43.200 and shut the government down

00:13:45.200 luckily in the house we only needed a majority vote

00:13:48.200 we were able to come together

00:13:50.200 and do the right thing

00:13:51.200 and get that bill over to the senate

00:13:53.200 but as everybody knows in the senate

00:13:55.200 you also need democrats to come together with republicans

00:13:58.200 to get 60 votes

00:14:00.200 and so when chuck schumer made such a fatally flawed decision

00:14:04.200 to shut the government down

00:14:06.200 ultimately the american people i think are going to get involved

00:14:09.200 and demand that chuck schumer reverse course

00:14:12.200 because it's not sustainable

00:14:14.200 the american people do not want to be held hostage

00:14:17.200 to chuck schumer's radical demands to fund illegal health care

00:14:21.200 and oh by the way to cut and gut 50 billion dollars out of rural hospitals

00:14:26.200 that's in the bill that chuck schumer filed as his alternative

00:14:30.200 that's outrageous you want to talk about a partisan demand

00:14:34.200 to hold the american people hostage

00:14:37.200 that's what chuck schumer's done

00:14:39.200 we have a bill that is clean

00:14:41.200 that just keeps these negotiations going for another two weeks

00:14:45.200 two months while the government stays open

00:14:48.200 and all chuck schumer needs to do

00:14:50.200 is get over the tantrum that he's having

00:14:53.200 with the results of the election from november

00:14:56.200 and vote yes to keep the government open

00:14:59.200 we are here ready to get the job done

00:15:03.200 schumer needs to end his shutdown

00:15:06.200 and finally join with us

00:15:07.200 and let's start real negotiations

00:15:09.200 without holding the american people hostage

00:15:12.200 with that i want to bring up my friend

00:15:14.200 the whip of the senate

00:15:16.200 uh... whip rasso

00:15:21.200 well today we're in the middle of the schumer shutdown

00:15:26.200 the democrats have caved in

00:15:29.200 to the radical wing of the democrat party

00:15:33.200 caved in completely

00:15:37.200 abandoned the american people in the process

00:15:40.200 and why well one of the reasons is chuck schumer wants to try to prove to somebody

00:15:45.200 that he's more liberal than aoc

00:15:48.200 yesterday in the senate floor

00:15:51.200 the crack started to appear in the democrat base

00:15:56.200 three democrats voted with the republicans

00:16:00.200 to prevent a shutdown

00:16:01.200 and why because they know the american people are hurt

00:16:04.200 when the government shuts down

00:16:08.200 we heard our military

00:16:10.200 who may be without pay

00:16:11.200 we heard our veterans who may not get health care

00:16:14.200 today the senate is going to vote again

00:16:17.200 and give the democrats an opportunity to open the government

00:16:20.200 by passing the continuing resolution

00:16:23.200 to give us seven weeks to do the appropriations process

00:16:27.200 to get the government open again

00:16:30.200 that's what the american people want

00:16:32.200 it's what the american people deserve

00:16:34.200 and today we'll see how many democrats vote with us

00:16:37.200 to end the schumer shutdown

00:16:40.200 and now the whip of the house of representatives

00:16:43.200 tom emmer

00:16:48.200 a government shutdown serves no one

00:16:54.200 government shutdowns unleash chaos on federal workers

00:17:00.200 delay pay for service members

00:17:03.200 and weaken our position on the global stage

00:17:08.200 to hold these people hostage instead of just letting them do their jobs

00:17:13.200 okay you see the messaging the schumer shutdown

00:17:17.200 here's what schumer is is doing this and here's the reason

00:17:21.200 because it is a clean cr as you know

00:17:25.200 i don't have to tell you

00:17:26.200 you hate that

00:17:27.200 you hate continued resolutions

00:17:30.200 you're prepared to do it because they got to keep quote unquote negotiating

00:17:34.200 now as

00:17:36.200 was it andy biggs

00:17:38.200 we talked to the other day

00:17:40.200 you're going to have a worse

00:17:42.200 calamity

00:17:43.200 come november because they're going to try to force through

00:17:45.200 an omnibus

00:17:46.200 say oh we just got to get this done for a year

00:17:48.200 year long cr

00:17:49.200 so the worst is still in front of us

00:17:52.200 but uh and because the single subject appropriations

00:17:55.200 everything we work for was not done

00:17:58.200 and a lot of fingers can be pointed including at

00:18:01.200 the speaker of the house and other people

00:18:02.200 we kind of are where we are

00:18:04.200 but the democrats have i think walked themselves into a trap

00:18:07.200 and why they walked themselves into a trap because

00:18:10.200 um

00:18:11.200 please notice i'm gonna tie a couple things together here

00:18:14.200 this is because schumer

00:18:17.200 and the guy and the folks that voted gave him the ten votes or the seven votes in march to keep the government open

00:18:24.200 uh came under such huge pressure because the democratic party has kind of lost reason now

00:18:29.200 it's it's it's it's not orange man bad anymore

00:18:32.200 there's there's like a psychotic reaction

00:18:35.200 to trump and this goes back to the

00:18:37.200 the the uh escalating violence

00:18:40.200 of the left whether it's man genie

00:18:43.200 uh or uh the alleged shooter in utah

00:18:46.200 or that some of the talk you're hearing coming out of new york city

00:18:49.200 mandami

00:18:50.200 and his dominance of this new york city um

00:18:53.200 race

00:18:54.200 and really the the crushing of cuomo

00:18:57.200 in the in the more traditional progressive part of the democratic party

00:19:01.200 is uh has all these guys on alert

00:19:04.200 schumer's concerned about one thing

00:19:08.200 chuck schumer's political life

00:19:10.200 because without being a u.s. senator he's nothing

00:19:12.200 because you can tell he's a guy of limited intelligence and limited talent

00:19:15.200 he's being pressed by aoc to his left

00:19:18.200 if she decides not to run for president

00:19:20.200 which yes folks that is on the table and they're thinking about it 0.99

00:19:21.200 she'll run for the united states senate and she would open a can of whoop ass 1.00

00:19:26.200 on schumer in a primary and he knows that that's why he's got to be a tough guy here 0.97

00:19:30.200 but they stepped on the rake here's why they stepped on the rake

00:19:33.200 president trump has a plan and that plan his architect of that

00:19:37.200 and uh you know the the executioner of that is the great russ vote

00:19:42.200 who has worked on this for eight years

00:19:44.200 um and as you know given he was a big contributor to the show in 22

00:19:48.200 when he came out and gave his first cra budget

00:19:53.200 he talked about how to get to a balanced budget i think in four or five years

00:19:57.200 he talked about taking apart deconstructing the administrative state

00:20:00.200 russ has a plan right now i think to be very one of the plans

00:20:04.200 is to be very aggressive on deconstruction in the administrative state

00:20:08.200 during this shutdown and so it's going to play right into it's going to play right into the hands of

00:20:13.200 who want to make sure that we can uh you know we're not anarchists

00:20:17.200 but we want to take uh we want to take uh

00:20:19.200 have a limited government as we possibly have

00:20:22.200 with the regulatory apparatuses that you need

00:20:24.200 russ vote has that plan and he's prepared to execute it

00:20:27.200 and fight it in court if the democrats want to do this

00:20:30.200 so this is where we stand right now the the democrats understand

00:20:33.200 they're kind of cornered there's no real off ramp for them

00:20:35.200 particularly last night this was huge when the senator from um

00:20:41.200 when the senator from the democrat senator from nevada

00:20:44.200 voted with the republicans and angus king that's two votes

00:20:47.200 that this is why thune can stand up there today

00:20:49.200 and say well this is a bipartisan this is bipartisan

00:20:53.200 and they will continue to vote every couple of hours

00:20:56.200 thune's going to put them on the uh is going to put them on the on the on the griddle

00:20:59.200 uh today that's why i believe that russ votes plan

00:21:04.200 uh which he's going up to the hill i think to walk people through

00:21:07.200 not looking for sign off i don't believe the president of the states is looking for sign off

00:21:10.200 but he's um he's clearly looking for um

00:21:14.200 um to let them know that they're in the loop

00:21:17.200 okay i think that's the way to say it is wade do we have uh wade yet

00:21:20.200 okay we're trying to try to get wade miller in a moment

00:21:23.200 but wade is over at cra and uh is very familiar with the details

00:21:26.200 of this plan let's go ahead and play the uh let's play

00:21:29.200 because we've got to move the show along let's go and play the cold open

00:21:32.200 and we're gonna get wade miller here we got we're jam-packed today

00:21:35.200 on capitol hill they're up there it's all messaging

00:21:37.200 if you heard if you heard uh if you heard

00:21:40.200 speaker johnson and thune you got the uh you get the point

00:21:43.200 of what we're doing and what we're how we're driving this thing

00:21:45.200 uh it's a schumer shutdown uh but there's a lot to do

00:21:49.200 and this can be to our advantage i'm a huge believer in these government shutdowns

00:21:52.200 because number one you do lots of reconstruction

00:21:55.200 number two it's been a winner for us in uh in 13 and it was a winner for us in 18

00:22:01.200 uh by the way we we had a huge win in the midterms

00:22:05.200 in 14 and we picked up a a uh 14 total seats in the house

00:22:11.200 in the stolen election in 2020 i think a net 12 which is extraordinary

00:22:16.200 given they stole the presidency from president trump so let's go ahead

00:22:20.200 and play the cold open we'll bring in uh we're gonna bring in wade miller

00:22:23.200 estimate for us give us some ballpark numbers here

00:22:27.200 um we've already had uh some sizable uh reductions in force

00:22:33.200 actually there's a number three hundred thousand floating around

00:22:36.200 uh for this uh for this calendar year

00:22:39.200 um that may or may not be the right number but that number is floating around

00:22:41.200 now if there's a budget shutdown um as our own chat program suggested

00:22:47.200 almost um in in electably will be a budget shutdown

00:22:51.200 then you have the authority to reduce the federal employee employee count by

00:22:57.200 roughly how much

00:22:59.200 well i'm gonna let that uh those kinds of questions uh extend until tomorrow

00:23:04.200 and in the days after right now where we are we have hours to go before a

00:23:08.200 government shutdown and it can be avoided and then we'll get in tomorrow

00:23:11.200 the preparation is all done we have many options

00:23:14.200 but we're going to get in tomorrow and see where we are

00:23:17.200 and we're going to manage this shutdown and try to keep the american people

00:23:21.200 from the havoc that the democrats have caused on on with their crazy demands

00:23:26.200 but let it be said there are all manner of authorities to be able to keep this

00:23:32.200 administration's policy agenda moving forward

00:23:35.200 and that includes reducing the size and scope of the federal government

00:23:38.200 and we will be looking for opportunities to do that

00:23:40.200 and you've made that very clear to mr schumer it doesn't seem to move him

00:23:43.200 russ vote that's what i don't understand it will be worse i mean if i were he and i'm most certainly not but if i were he i would want a continuing resolution and discuss all this stuff i i wouldn't want to hand the circular over to you and he'll have to take some measures that he's not going to like one darn bit

00:24:05.200 well i think he's got some time over the next several hours to come back from the brink to work with his moderates to get a continuing resolution passed

00:24:13.200 we'll see how these votes come up and then we'll see where we are in the morning

00:24:16.200 what am i going to say if i'm asked to go on the street and conduct illegal actions and i guarantee you that the people in that audience will not execute illegal orders we've been saying that for a long time but at the same time all of them not only were they personally embarrassed but they were embarrassed for their services that had you know sit in that audience and listen to this kind of stuff

00:24:41.200 and that's that's the you know the worst part of all this you know there's a saying in the military that's a great leadership dictum

00:24:48.200 you you praise in public and you discipline in private this was a disciplinary approach in public with cameras so the whole nation could see

00:24:59.200 and it was an attempt at separating the military institution from the people that they defend

00:25:06.200 and i don't think it worked very well but i'm sure there's a lot of people questioning what the military

00:25:12.200 will do next i'm sure of what they will do next they will make sure they don't follow illegal orders

00:25:18.200 and maintain their job like yesterday but dave call me a simpleton republicans do have a lot to lose

00:25:25.280 the midterms are around the corner right but their memory again of 2013 is that there was a shutdown it

00:25:32.400 lasted a while it was pretty painful they won the 2014 midterm then 20 2018 after after the midterm

00:25:39.160 there was a shutdown over border funding trump lost in 2020 but republicans gained ground in the house

00:25:44.900 that's not remembered by republicans as a failure that's another reason we've been just

00:25:48.900 piling up moral hazards and reasons that members of congress are not worried about the long-term

00:25:53.860 politics of this they're really not the only thing that's new compared to last shutdowns i talked to

00:25:59.140 is we've got elections in virginia new jersey in a couple weeks and republicans i talked to said

00:26:03.740 we'd rather the issues there be about the culture and schools and gender policies than a government

00:26:09.860 shutdown because we think that's a better issue for democrats but that's pretty minor

00:26:13.420 president trump has said you know he could use this as an opportunity to further cut government

00:26:18.600 and and and turn some of those temporary furloughs into permanent job cuts speaker can you assess

00:26:24.620 what you're expecting in terms of the job cuts and how severe they could be yes the president and i've

00:26:30.320 talked about this at great length while while a shutdown is very damaging for real american people

00:26:35.600 who depend upon government services it can provide an opportunity to downsize this the scope and the scale

00:26:41.520 of government which is something that we've all always wanted to do and so in a way chuck schumer

00:26:46.080 has now handed the keys to the kingdom to the executive branch under president trump to do some things

00:26:50.960 that we would not otherwise be able to do because we would never get democrat votes for them now russ vote

00:26:55.120 is in charge as you know of the office of management and budget and it is his responsibility to look at all

00:27:00.880 of this and make very difficult choices he he gets to decide now what services are essential what programs and

00:27:06.960 policies should be continued and which would not be a priority for taxpayers that is what is about to

00:27:12.560 happen and chuck schumer has allowed that and so it from his political perspective it's a pretty massive

00:27:18.320 backfire and there's a real opportunity uh for government to work more efficiently and effectively

00:27:22.720 for the people if those decisions are made

00:27:24.320 uh okay so this is where we stand uh the great uh wade miller is going to join us for take a short

00:27:31.360 commercial break in a minute uh gold um breached thirty nine hundred dollars uh earlier today

00:27:41.680 uh what did we tell you we also told you it's not the price of gold we we don't focus on the price of

00:27:45.920 gold it's the process of what drives value in gold and why people look to it as a hedge

00:27:51.840 uh very important one of the things of this audience is understand capital markets uh deficits

00:27:59.200 because at the end of the day this shutdown is going to get back to as we roll into november

00:28:06.240 it's going to get into a um a very unappetizing set of alternatives i haven't seen what the deficit was

00:28:14.560 at midnight last night uh i'll double check but look it's roughly two trillion dollars as we told you

00:28:19.520 it's going to be and remember we're still when you talk about these crs you're still dealing with

00:28:25.280 biden and pelosi numbers how does that make you feel not great well this is the reason that the um

00:28:31.760 uh congress which i think i'll start calling the duma because they got about as much power as the duma

00:28:37.040 had back in uh pre-revolutionary uh russia right um they've been unable to address the situation on

00:28:47.600 spending they're just not going to do it they're going to continue to tap it along as long as you

00:28:51.360 have these massive deficits adding to the debt you're going to have these refinancing issues

00:28:56.400 and as long as you have that you're going to print more you have to print more money this whole issue

00:29:01.440 of fiat currency and particularly the the central bank's uh asset allocation that's where they're

00:29:08.160 buying gold at an all-time record level and that's one of the structural things underneath gold

00:29:14.080 that continues puts the pressure on the upward pressure on gold you need to understand this go

00:29:19.520 to birchgold.com promo code bannon end of the dollar empire we did this for a reason we started

00:29:25.440 four years ago when gold was eleven hundred dollars an ounce why we said the financial crisis before the

00:29:31.680 united states is something that has to be addressed and during the biden regime the illegitimate biden

00:29:37.600 regime years it was awful what they did but understand today it's one of the reason gold is above

00:29:42.480 thirty nine hundred although it just backed off a couple of bucks wade miller is going to join us

00:29:47.920 we're going to walk through the logic of russ vote and why once again this shutdown is going to work

00:29:53.440 in our favor short break back in a moment

00:34:31.840 800-958-1000 wade miller um yes a fine navy day yesterday pete pete eggseth reading the riot act

00:34:42.000 to the uh to the generals and admirals i know you as a marine the marines i looked at the marine generals

00:34:48.320 in the audience i don't think they had an issue with doing some heavy pt and i think i think a couple

00:34:52.640 of three of them say hey pete no offense army major right bring it so but i don't want to talk

00:34:58.800 about that i got to talk about the budget shutdown russ vote the warrior uh wait in 13 when ted cruz

00:35:06.640 and and mike lee and a bunch of us you know in support i was at breitbart at the time we shut

00:35:11.280 down the government they shut down the government over obamacare and man mike lee and ted cruz got torn

00:35:15.920 apart these guys were going to destroy everything it worked out for us a big win in 14 predicated upon the

00:35:22.080 messaging that took place the american people because there's an opportunity for the nation to

00:35:25.680 kind of focus here and hadn't really heard this because a lot of people as you know don't follow

00:35:30.320 politics same thing in 18 when they stole the election from uh from president trump we picked up

00:35:36.960 on a gross number 14 house seats net 12 this is one of the biggest and you can look in the districts

00:35:42.400 we picked it up you can see where how trump won and had it stolen from so we've had two victories on

00:35:47.520 shutdowns russ vote knows that as well as anybody but in addition and i was telling somebody today i

00:35:53.840 was in a conference room with russ over at eob in may of 2017 when russ vote walked through his whole

00:36:00.960 waterfall theory of cash coming in because then on september 30th two things were going to converge

00:36:06.720 we're going to have a debt ceiling issue and uh and the government shutdown uh and russ was already

00:36:12.320 thinking about at the time of what you do with these non-essential employees of the federal

00:36:16.880 government so this is not a guy who just thought it up last night uh walk us through you guys released

00:36:22.160 the russ vote budget i think in 22 as an exclusive on war room to walk through how cra was even at the

00:36:28.800 time thinking about how you deconstruct the administrative state and do it mathematically

00:36:34.240 russ vote is heading up to the hill i believe not to look for sign off but i think president trump

00:36:40.400 and russ want to keep the hill in the loop about what they're prepared to do what would that be

00:36:45.360 sir in your best uh your best thinking well first it's amazing what can happen if you have

00:36:52.160 principled leadership on your side who is articulating a a stance instead of proactively

00:36:58.640 going out and blaming themselves and handing the victory to democrats so we're in a different

00:37:03.360 paradigm i think that's important number two you're correct so you know russ has spent years looking at

00:37:09.200 the federal budget he wrote a whole budget uh outline in 2023 when he was uh president at center

00:37:14.800 for renewing america that was uh methodically went through line by line by line of every agency and

00:37:20.960 determined what was actually needed for the government to function for the american people

00:37:25.680 and what was waste fraud abuse weaponization and so that was put out and i know that russ has been

00:37:31.520 thinking about this uh you know daily for years of what would he do if uh so empowered and right now

00:37:38.640 we're in a position where president trump has stood strong he's not caving to the uh hostage taking

00:37:43.920 demands of the left and he's empowering russ vote to start uh moving forward on that vision now we'll see

00:37:50.720 i mean so they want there's two priorities here one they actually do want to uh clean cr to fund the

00:37:56.480 government but if democrats just won't allow that then they will move to plan b which is to empower

00:38:02.000 russ vote to own b to start sending out these orders to every single agency to determine what is

00:38:07.360 actually necessary and remember there's now no appropriation so they can do a lot now that they could

00:38:14.560 not have done 24 hours ago to cut down the woke weaponized and wasteful portions of the federal

00:38:20.640 government the federal bureaucracy and so they have a lot of power here i honestly don't

00:38:25.920 understand strategically why hakeem jeffries and chuck schumer thought it would be a good idea

00:38:31.600 to go in this direction now i get that their base wants them to extract some sort of fight but this

00:38:36.960 was not the the the fight that they should have picked i mean if it were up to me i would have

00:38:41.440 probably pushed it into november and made it about a christmas fight and everyone wants to go home

00:38:46.400 and and strategically do it that way but they have really fallen on their own sword here and ambushed you

00:38:52.800 you know stepped on a rake so to speak and i i don't understand what their logic and thinking is

00:38:57.920 because we now have a fully operational russ vote who would love nothing more than to enact

00:39:03.680 the president's agenda of demolishing the woke and weaponized deep state

00:39:10.080 yeah i think that this is um part of its mandami i mean they're looking and seeing what's happening

00:39:16.560 with the working family party in the dsa as the radical left escalates violence you saw this in

00:39:22.720 portland ben burncromb's going to join us right after uh weight punches but they have the democratic

00:39:28.400 party as you know it has ceased to exist right they're held hostage by an ever-increasing uh marxist 0.96

00:39:36.560 jihadist party that's just what it is it which is escalating violence this is why we had to have the

00:39:41.760 antifa um designation of terrorists this is i think the the buried lead of president trump's the

00:39:49.840 commander-in-chief's address here saying hey we got problems all over the world and you guys are the

00:39:53.600 best i'm gonna get your trillion dollars and we're gonna get you in fighting shape and we're only going

00:39:58.000 to go into wars we're going to win with precision and ferocity i think is as uh the secretary of war said

00:40:04.320 but we got a problem here at home and i think he put people on notice that we're going to deal with this

00:40:09.040 so that's what i think is captured i just think logically and this is why i hope russ moves with

00:40:15.600 alacrity is allowed to move with alacrity we have a once in a lifetime opportunity right here the

00:40:20.960 democrats are on the heel you just saw i thought the messaging from from the house and the senate was

00:40:25.920 terrific and thune's going to keep putting them up against the wall every every couple hours and have

00:40:30.240 another vote right so wade i think given russ has thought this through the president's empowering

00:40:37.440 him he's going up to capitol hill like i said i don't think he's looking he's not looking for

00:40:42.000 sign off president trump is gone he wants to keep people in the loop and i think this is

00:40:46.800 the most coordinated i've seen the best communication and russ is kind of in the lead tank and i hope that

00:40:53.520 he's unleashed this afternoon to go through really the administrative state and say hey look it's

00:40:58.560 essential non-essential and we're just gonna have to cut the non-essential do you think that that is a

00:41:03.600 possibility sir i think it's a high likelihood it's a complex political strategy here and trying

00:41:11.280 to get to uh democrats voting for a clean cr so if that's their priority then they're probably

00:41:16.960 thinking through this strategically of what will be step one step two step three to uh kind of help

00:41:22.560 push them in that direction if they just don't want to go in that direction then we could get into

00:41:26.880 step 14 15 100 and we've already seen an announcement from omb and uh director russ vote

00:41:32.480 that they're cutting 18 billion in infrastructure spending in new york to make sure that it is not

00:41:37.440 uh funding dei which of course is systemic racism which gets back to your point where we no longer have

00:41:43.360 a democrat party we have a neo-marxist uh party that's focusing on identitarian uh politics and so

00:41:50.240 they're cutting that funding and and we'll see over the coming hours uh how much more uh democrats want to

00:41:56.160 watch this happen uh helplessly no and this is i think great that russ is putting people on notice

00:42:03.120 i love the fact first tweet this is infrastructure that's needed collectively people realize i think

00:42:08.640 this is for rejuvenation of some of the tunnels bridges i mean this is entrance and egress from uh

00:42:16.480 from new york state from the manhattan that's needed everybody concurs with what russ is saying hey

00:42:22.080 we're not playing games anymore you guys still have all this dei madness uh you've got all this

00:42:27.200 woke madness we're not doing this okay president trump and that's why the address yesterday to the

00:42:32.080 to the to the uh to the flag officers president trump is putting people on notice we're not playing games

00:42:37.760 when i want something done and i realize the institution of the of the uniformed services in

00:42:42.560 the pentagon you're going to take a trenching tool and dig out dei and all this woke madness and climate

00:42:48.560 but russ as the organizer he he's the linchpin between the kind of legislation and the executive

00:42:54.800 branch and programmatically how it gets spent russ is a guy that has limited capacity for nonsense and

00:43:01.120 i think what he did today in new york city was absolutely brilliant say look sorry not sorry we're

00:43:05.680 not doing this anymore and he's going to put people on notice and we got to go to court you'll

00:43:09.040 go to court and they're going to win in court wait to talk to me before i let you go oh good see

00:43:13.520 yeah go ahead go ahead no jump well he has the ability to do this with a scalpel at large scale

00:43:19.200 uh so what do i mean by that is he can get into thousands of different programs with a scalpel

00:43:25.040 to have this impact woke weaponized and wasteful uh government spending with while minimizing the

00:43:30.960 impact on the american people and there's probably no one else on the planet that can do that as good as

00:43:35.680 russ vote uh tell me about cra you guys are kind of the thing when russ when russ decided to

00:43:43.360 set up a think tank or an action uh entity you guys were focused on these kind of big issues at

00:43:49.200 the time but tell me about your work now where can people go to find out more about you because

00:43:53.920 you're still generating amazing stuff although half your team went into president trump's

00:43:58.400 administration to make sure we can set things right yeah you can find us at americarenewing.com

00:44:04.080 and we continue to work on america first paradigms and we try to anticipate what's the fight going to be

00:44:09.280 a year year and a half from now and start preparing the work to fight those fights there's a lot of

00:44:14.640 other good organizations that carry on with the day to day we of course do that as well uh you know

00:44:18.880 since this is going to be a big fight we're already working we're knee deep in that fight and we'll

00:44:23.040 continue to try to anticipate what is the support that the uh president is going to need what is the

00:44:28.800 support that the you know the trump administration will need and then put in the work to advance those

00:44:34.400 america first ideas and agendas um thank you so much social media where do people get you

00:44:42.640 yeah it's wade miller underscore usmc

00:44:48.240 thank you brother appreciate you all the work you guys do over there let's get burquam burquam is in

00:44:55.040 portland oregon ben uh we'll come back and play your footage talk to me about last night last time we

00:44:59.760 left here was in the rain of portland all this all this madness takes place between sundown and sun up

00:45:06.480 correct yeah yeah so that's what happens you know it's like uh at your house the cockroaches come out

00:45:13.040 at night the same thing happens here in portland uh all the violence typically happens at night antifa

00:45:17.760 comes out at night uh we were in there actually right after i got off with you we got invited inside

00:45:22.320 the building we were the only media first and only media yesterday that got invited in uh we're

00:45:27.280 gonna be cutting up all that footage later today and getting that out to you guys but uh as soon

00:45:32.480 as we got in there the uh antifa and all these guys started showing up as soon as the sun went

00:45:36.800 down there were seven arrests last night we were there for it and it is it's just the worst of the

00:45:42.320 worst and um and as we speak now what happens is during the day now you got these liberals these

00:45:47.440 leftists these ngos that are coming out they're setting up to provide legal aid for the illegals and for 0.99

00:45:52.880 the criminals that got arrested last night so there's this entire network conspiracy network

00:45:58.160 whatever you want to call it of organizations and individuals that are working to aid and abed

00:46:02.880 and undermine this country from within by the way the ng the same ngos that were profiting off the 1.00

00:46:07.280 invasion of america are now working amen to to protect illegal aliens and protect the criminals

00:46:13.920 that are trying to undermine america from within i have no earthy idea why we're still allowing those

00:46:20.160 folks to function anyway ben hang on we're going to come back to portland oregon amazing footage

00:46:24.720 from last night seven arrests when we're going to roll them all up put the military on notice

00:46:30.880 yesterday folks uh we have an invasion here in the united states of america and we're going to deal

00:46:35.760 with it so says the commander in chief of the armed forces short break burquam in portland next

00:46:41.920 what if he had the brightest mind in the war room delivering critical financial research every

00:46:53.360 month steve bannon here war room listeners know jim records i love this guy he's our wise man a former

00:47:00.240 cia pentagon and white house advisor with an unmatched grasp of geopolitics and capital markets jim predicted

00:47:07.120 trump's electoral college victory exactly 312 to 226 down to the actual number itself now he's

00:47:16.400 issuing a dire warning about april 11th a moment that could define trump's presidency in your financial

00:47:22.480 future his latest book money gpt exposes how ai is setting the stage for financial chaos bank runs at

00:47:30.240 lightning speeds algorithm driven crashes and even threats to national security right now war room

00:48:19.200 got the intersection of the palestinians

00:48:21.520 and i know what the i'm talking about 1.00

00:48:29.840 and every single one of you peasants is a goddamn idiot 1.00

00:48:35.840 uh the the threat level that you guys are under and in particular when you have local politicians 1.00

00:49:02.640 saying everything's under control well um so here uh with the way the building is set up we

00:49:10.320 you can see behind me there's a lot of high rises there's a lot of um different opportunities for

00:49:14.880 people to look down and look into what it is that we're doing and to try to zone in um and and dial into

00:49:23.280 our operations we've actually had to put up some paper and some different window blockages on our third

00:49:29.600 floor um to keep people from looking in and trying to dial in i get that the the mayor and other

00:49:38.000 politicians within portland are saying that this there's not anything going on here but we've had a

00:49:44.480 lot going on here over the last nine months especially since the beginning of june um this

00:49:49.680 has been an ongoing protest and the protest is fine we're not here to stop people from exercising their

00:49:56.720 first amendment right it's the folks who come out later at night normally the news crew shows up

00:50:03.120 show up here first thing in the morning there's not a lot going on here then but towards the night

00:50:08.960 time that's a whole different ball game uh and depending on what's going on and the local news and

00:50:15.680 what it is that we're doing uh what is happening in washington there can be anywhere from 15 people here to

00:50:23.680 a thousand to two thousand and they can be here in a relatively short amount of time

00:50:30.320 they'll just be waves of folks that'll come in when they see uh if we've stepped up our battle with them

00:50:38.240 if we have more people coming in and out if we have more people on the roof if there's more traffic

00:50:44.240 in and out of the building just a whole lot of different things because they have some spotters

00:50:48.400 downstairs who will let everybody know through their networks what is and isn't happening down here

00:50:54.800 and that drives the reaction for a lot of folks so we've had arrests that i think we're up to 170

00:51:01.360 arrests about that have occurred here in this building but it has been

00:51:07.520 difficult uh we have folks that come in in masks i mean we get a lot of flack because our folks wear masks

00:51:15.680 our our people are doing that to protect themselves and their family from this doxing

00:51:20.240 and from people coming to their houses and from being followed home meanwhile we have people here

00:51:26.560 who show up in uh with gas masks with helmets different types of strobe equipment or other things

00:51:33.920 that will impede the lawful operations that we have going on

00:51:38.720 okay so the mainstream media this is why on the terrorist investigation we have to not just look

00:51:46.320 at the financiers and the ngos as ben burkham has said over and over again the sources these tide

00:51:52.080 found all the foundations and um and the ngos you have to look the media the media is an active

00:51:58.960 partner of these folks they they come in the morning when it's all calm and it's at these people are

00:52:05.360 vampires they come out at night they're like the walking dead he just heard the officer right there

00:52:11.440 no federal official that is trying to stop the invasion of our beloved republic under orders by

00:52:22.080 the president of these united states in a government that would control the house the senate the supreme

00:52:28.400 court and the executive branch should be under that pressure she shouldn't have to play these games 0.99

00:52:33.040 you just heard it right there this is not acceptable these people have to be real every

00:52:37.680 night we ought to roll them all up put them in put them in a federal lockup and then you know indict 0.63

00:52:44.240 them do whatever you got to do but they shouldn't be on the streets to terrorize they're terrorizing

00:52:49.440 federal officials that are trying to begin the process of mass deportation ben burkham your thoughts

00:52:57.200 yeah no you're absolutely right and i just want to kind of show you paint the picture what's going on

00:53:01.280 speaking of that so antifa comes out at night during the day you got these ngos and that's what's

00:53:05.440 happening right here you got these leftist ngos that are aiding and abetting illegal aliens so you have 0.98

00:53:09.920 illegal aliens that are coming in for their court appearances then you have these leftist ngos that 0.85

00:53:14.000 come out and meet with them and provide them legal aid and then they're also part of the networks that

00:53:19.040 are that are telling illegals when ice is coming to their communities it's all a coordinated effort it all

00:53:24.960 goes back to the mainstream media like you said that's providing aid and comfort as well covering up the

00:53:29.920 story telling the lies and then you have the local community that's having to live with it i've got

00:53:34.560 rick here who actually lives in this neighborhood you live in that building right next to us rick tell

00:53:39.600 us about what it's like to live here your thoughts on the folks that are you know that are that are

00:53:44.880 running these operations well it's been i don't know 115 days now um june 7th and um they're here every

00:53:53.600 single day all day 24 7 obviously at night it gets you know a lot spicier but um it's you know it's just 0.98

00:54:04.000 a nightmare getting called nazi every single time i walk my dog um nazi my my girlfriend my nazi princess

00:54:13.280 um just because you love america just because i love america yeah because you know because i stand up to 0.56

00:54:18.640 them um so what i've been doing is there's a you know there's a couple people here a couple women 0.99

00:54:25.120 here that are afraid to even come out of their building so they text me and i you know i i walk

00:54:30.640 them um i also offer uh you know to take chelly and katie davis court to you know their cars you know

00:54:40.560 when they when they're leaving okay hey ben um because these people are afraid of me but yeah go ahead

00:54:46.240 ben hang hang one hang one second i want to continue this to the top of the hour no citizen

00:54:51.760 of this country should have to live like he's living no citizen of this republic should be 0.85

00:54:58.240 terrorized by these people on a nightly basis and if the local authorities in portland are too gutless

00:55:04.080 and you got that governor you got the mayor stepping up to the microphone oh it's calm trump's overselling

00:55:08.880 it no if there's one citizen being terrorized like that round them all up and throw them in the who's

00:55:14.160 gal it's time we got to stop playing patty cake with these people they're going to intimidate they

00:55:19.280 will intimidate anybody until somebody steps up this is not going to end until we end it

00:55:27.840 this country is quickly rapidly heading to a very dark place unless we stop it now we still have time to

00:55:35.840 do it but we have to have the political will to do it short commercial break we're gonna turn to

00:55:45.280 portland oregon and uh a besieged citizenry next in the war room
