Bannon's War Room - Episode 4870： Revolt Of The Luddites

00:00:00.000 this is the primal scream of a dying regime pray for our enemies because we're going to

00:00:09.960 medieval on these people here's not got a free shot all these networks lying about the people

00:00:16.560 the people have had a belly full of it I know you don't like hearing that I know you've tried

00:00:20.580 to do everything the world to stop that but you're not gonna stop it it's going to happen

00:00:23.760 and where do people like that go to share the big line mega media I wish in my soul I wish that any

00:00:31.840 of these people had a conscience ask yourself what is my task and what is my purpose if that

00:00:38.580 answer is to save my country this country will be saved war room here's your host Stephen K.

00:00:47.160 man everyone I want to talk about our new effort meta super intelligence labs and our vision to

00:00:58.800 build personal super intelligence for everyone in the future so now we're starting to look ahead

00:01:03.540 to super intelligence and even more than before our focus must be on wide and fair access what happens

00:01:09.960 when every single one of us has the equivalent of the smartest human on every problem in our pocket

00:01:17.100 in the next year or two this foundation is being locked in and it's not we're not going to stop

00:01:23.580 it it's much more interesting after that because remember the computers are now doing self-improvement

00:01:30.060 they're learning how to plan and they don't have to listen to us anymore we call that super

00:01:36.840 intelligence or ASI artificial super intelligence and this is the theory that there will be computers

00:01:43.440 that are smarter than the sum of humans now the San Francisco convinced consensus is this occurs within

00:01:49.920 six years I think that we might have AI smarter than any single human at anything as soon as next

00:01:56.160 year wow yeah and and then and then probably within five like say 2030 probably an AI is smarter than the

00:02:03.360 of all humans Joe Allen you join us Max Tegmark joins us from MIT the Institute of Life Max today to kind of put

00:02:16.000 this in perspective we put out a a statement that you've been working on and really kind of organizing

00:02:22.720 people behind the scenes to get in front of this because it's clearly spinning out of control what is tell

00:02:29.760 me what the statement is it's in every paper it's the lead story in many of the papers throughout the

00:02:33.840 world what are you actually trying to what does the statement say and what are you trying to accomplish

00:02:41.120 what we're trying to accomplish is for it to become just socially unacceptable to say the kind of stuff

00:02:46.720 that we just heard these uh tech oligarchs say moments ago here yeah we're going to build super

00:02:53.360 intelligence and we have no idea how to control it and it's going to be so cool please invest in us you

00:02:57.600 know it's absolutely insane the statement simply says that it should be there should be a prohibition

00:03:04.560 against building this stuff at least until there's a broad scientific consensus that this can be

00:03:12.800 controlled and safe and also until americans actually want it and we released a poll today also showing

00:03:19.840 that actually less than five percent of all americans want to race to super intelligence less than one in

00:03:26.640 twenty and yet we have these fringe people in in uh silicon valley who are all about transhumanism

00:03:34.800 and merging with machines and stuff shoving it down our throats undemocratically

00:03:41.680 what okay they're fringe except they've got all the money they have stocks every every every stock

00:03:48.080 jockey every stock jobber on wall street you mentioned artificial intelligence artificial general

00:03:52.560 intelligence they're throwing money at them they're the ones that have all the platforms everybody

00:03:57.040 talks to uh you've got the four horsemen of the apocalypse and maybe uh anthropic is is the one

00:04:02.880 that's got some rationality here but the rest of them get all the media and you've got uh and you've

00:04:08.800 got david sachs with the pom-poms on you know coming in and out of the white house all the time

00:04:15.280 saying how it's all you got to be if you're not an accelerationist you're surrendering the chinese 0.97

00:04:20.560 communist party i just said in the previous thing don't tell me about the chinese communist party

00:04:27.200 i've forgotten more about them than all those guys combined except for elon musk who is an agent of

00:04:33.040 influence for the chinese congress party i might add um the um and he's sitting there saying it's 20

00:04:40.000 chance that agi could destroy mankind how do you combat when the system has promoted the fringe 1.00

00:04:47.440 and made the fringe look like they're actually the normalized that they're they're actually the the

00:04:54.160 most radical thinking about a technology that you can't unwind you can't put the horse back in the

00:04:59.440 barn you will hit an inflection point in mankind's development that will never be able to be reversed

00:05:06.160 how do you combat it when the fringe is actually driving it for through a combination

00:05:12.000 of greed avarice and just outright naked wanting of power sir well you steve are the expert in this

00:05:22.160 right and as you like to say you gotta call out their lies because

00:05:30.320 we the american people at least 95 of us right want to stop this madness and the first lie

00:05:38.720 is uh this very sneaky slate of hand where people say yeah look don't you want tools that can cure

00:05:45.440 cancer don't you want the productivity tools don't you want america to be strong and economically

00:05:50.800 dominant with ai tools and everybody goes like yes yes yes and then there's the fine print that they're

00:05:58.720 not going to give you just tools they also want to give you this transhumanist craziness where you're 0.98

00:06:04.400 supposed to merge with the machines and we're supposed to build uh these atheists are building 1.00

00:06:08.960 their digital god that we're all supposed to worship uh their their comms teams have told them not to

00:06:14.320 talk about that so loudly uh but if you go back i was just going back and reading a blog post before

00:06:20.320 the show here by sam altman that he wrote before his comms team told him to tone it down and he was

00:06:26.720 writing about how he thinks there are only two options for humanity after he builds super intelligence

00:06:31.840 one is we fade into an evolutionary tree branch that's his quote or he thinks which is he what

00:06:40.560 he thinks is the better option we merged with the machines you know this is my two-year-old son

00:06:46.160 who is he to tell my son that he needs to go merge with machines what's that got to do with american

00:06:51.840 values and american democracy you know uh in in short uh there are many threats to america

00:06:58.560 and you talked a lot now about you've taught you've talked a lot for example about your political

00:07:03.040 threats but there is a huge threat coming from san francisco as well and we can't ignore that

00:07:10.720 and in fact they try to make us only focus on external threats so we shouldn't pay attention to them

00:07:17.680 i want to make sure people understand that their real thinking and what they're talking about

00:07:23.040 behind the scenes because they have toned it down their pr experts have said hey you've got to tone

00:07:29.360 this down or you're going to heighten people's awareness of this give me that again what altman wrote

00:07:34.560 particularly about we either fade into an evolutionary tree branch or we merge give me that again one

00:07:40.320 more time because that's his real thinking yeah you can just google it search for altman the merge and

00:07:46.480 it comes right up and he he thinks basically this is the this is the hopeful future he sees

00:07:53.040 that we merge with machines and uh like where's the opt-out button uh where's no thanks and and you know

00:08:03.440 many people were shocked that this statement today got such incredibly broad support from all across the

00:08:09.680 political spectrum and what those who were surprised by that didn't realize that it's obvious

00:08:15.120 why because all of these people across the spectrum are humans and uh they want the human future

00:08:24.400 where machines are tools and work for us they don't want to merge with machines and they certainly don't

00:08:30.000 want their kids to merge with machines they want these companies to be held accountable for their

00:08:37.920 craziness this max the agenda to create general and then super intelligence one of the

00:08:45.040 reasons you get such a broad rejection of the idea let alone the investment and the resources poured

00:08:52.560 into it is because christians see that these are people who are trying to create a digital god in the

00:08:59.600 absence of what they believe they believe that there is no god therefore it must be created christians

00:09:05.520 of course are going to reject that religious people across the board are going to reject that but

00:09:10.720 i don't know i think we get i think we get a couple three hindus muslim i think anybody of a religious bent

00:09:16.400 is going to is going to reject that yeah but that's the another counterintuitive angle on that though

00:09:21.840 even atheists dogged atheists are against it mainly you know they see the struggle for removing religion

00:09:30.080 as a centuries-long process to create a digital god would just undo all of that so there's really only one

00:09:37.600 small subset of people who benefit from the creation of general or super intelligence that's going to be

00:09:45.360 the tech oligarchs as i've said many times if anyone says they are going to bring about a radical change

00:09:51.760 in your life you have to ask for whose benefit and you know the altman statement you know max and i were

00:10:00.160 texting about this earlier and the the full statement is worth pondering this is sam altman in his blog

00:10:08.080 post the merge we will be the first species ever to design our own descendants my guess is that we can

00:10:16.480 either be the biological bootloader for digital intelligence meaning that humans are useless afterwards

00:10:23.280 and then fade into an evolutionary tree branch branch or we can figure out what a successful merge looks

00:10:30.960 like and it's worth noting that altman about two months ago began investing in a brain computer

00:10:37.280 interface company for implanted brain chips of course called the merge so max um to follow on from this

00:10:46.640 on what altman really thinks and what these oligarchs really think you we the statement is broken down to

00:10:51.600 two pieces one is the scientific community and technology community the other is the american

00:10:56.720 people um the first one a lot of the american people are sitting there well hey max uh aren't the

00:11:04.400 scientists and the technologists aren't they already on board with the oligarchs and working on various

00:11:10.240 parts of this project that they've they've bought in so what do you mean a consensus among the scientists

00:11:15.680 isn't it isn't the your first block already checked off in their in their in their uh corner sir

00:11:24.160 that's also a misconception that the tech companies love to perpetuate the first two signatories on the

00:11:33.360 letter saying no to this nonsense are actually the two most cited scientists in the world they're like

00:11:39.120 einstein and the oppenheimer of our time all categories it's jeff hinton and joshua bangio

00:11:46.000 who really helped pioneer this technology and both of them are having this oppenheimer moment now where

00:11:51.040 they're like holy smokes what have we done this is this is crazy no the vast majority of scientists

00:11:58.000 believe that we have no clue how we would control something much smarter than us

00:12:03.280 and many think of it as basically inviting aliens technologically superior aliens to just come to

00:12:10.960 earth and take over and see what happens which obviously would count as high treason by any reasonable standards

00:12:21.600 what um what about the argument that hey you you guys are just a various assortment of luddites

00:12:28.720 and like the luddites you're standing in the way of just the the natural evolution of scientific and

00:12:34.480 technological project the process the project uh you know progress and like the luddites you will be

00:12:41.040 kicked into the dustbin of history sir yeah absolutely calling jeff hinton and uh

00:12:49.520 joshua bangio luddites makes just as much sense as calling einstein and oppenheimer luddites you know

00:12:54.960 what did they know about physics right they they said that nuclear weapons can uh be bad for your

00:13:00.240 health what do they know we who call them luddites we know so much better

00:13:08.000 perfect hang on for one second i'm gonna hold you through the break joe allen's gonna be here

00:13:12.400 also dr thayer uh an expert in the chinese communist party and their advances in technology just remember

00:13:20.320 how the ccp thinks downrange back and i think it was 2014 or 15 they put up made in china 2025 0.81

00:13:26.480 they don't talk about that anymore because they realize they started getting bad

00:13:29.920 bad press particularly led by the show what were the 10 industries they wanted to dominate they made a

00:13:36.320 whole of government whole of society to dominate the first was artificial intelligence and artificial

00:13:41.840 general intelligence the second was robotics and regenerative robotics the third

00:13:46.400 uh advanced chip design the fourth was quantum computing uh and then you had uh then to throw in

00:13:53.920 the fifth you had uh you had um crispr and biotechnology the merger of those folks as we've talked in the

00:14:01.360 show many many times is the singularity so when uh she and putin are wandering around and they get the

00:14:08.400 off-camera you know microphone which never happens in the ccp and they're talking about living forever 0.99

00:14:13.120 and right now they can what they can push a buck 25 there's some very dangerous things going on

00:14:21.280 right behind the curtain and you've got to understand the oligarchs thinking this is about

00:14:28.640 avarice this about greed this is about power nothing else not for the good of the country not some

00:14:34.240 altruistic and it's certainly not a fight against the chinese communist party they're using that

00:14:39.200 as a uh as a damocles a sword over our head right these guys are all in business with the chinese 0.99

00:14:46.640 communist party short commercial break max tegmark a uh monumental day with uh the fight against

00:16:50.880 up for free and be part of the movement joe allen you've got some updates for us yeah one of the

00:16:58.720 biggest criticisms uh going towards the the push to ban super intelligence is it doesn't exist it's

00:17:07.280 just a dream same with artificial general intelligence most people conceive of super

00:17:12.400 intelligence as being the next step after general intelligence general intelligence being able to

00:17:18.000 understand its own system and to rewrite its own code until you hit an intelligence explosion i just

00:17:24.480 want to turn the audience's attention to a recent paper put out by dan hendrix et al at the center for ai

00:17:33.760 safety on a definition of artificial general intelligence without going into the maze of linguistic traps

00:17:43.360 around general intelligence just basically what we're talking about is instead of having a narrow ai

00:17:48.720 like chat gpt or like clear view ai facial recognition or whatever you're talking about a

00:17:54.560 system that is flexible able to go across domains again people are like well that doesn't exist why

00:17:59.600 is that a problem why should you mobilize any political will to mitigate that or super intelligence

00:18:05.120 if they're just dreams what the center for ai safety and other companies like that do organizations

00:18:11.120 like that they evaluate these systems systematically to see what their capabilities actually are and

00:18:18.560 what they found with gpt for instance gpt 5 versus 4 even if it wasn't the huge media splash and

00:18:27.200 sensation that people would have thought it would be the increases in the system's ability to read and

00:18:33.360 write to perform mathematical calculations to reason it's working memory it's visual recognition it's

00:18:41.840 auditory recognition all of those have expanded some of them dramatically the point i'm making is yes

00:18:49.120 agi is at present just a dream and artificial super intelligence dream it's a it's an objective

00:18:55.520 that they're moving towards that's more than a dream it's more than a dream it's a vision but they have

00:19:01.280 they have a target and they're moving to that target and everything they're doing that target

00:19:05.520 everything they're doing is a dream is like you and i are sitting around sure you know i've got a dream

00:19:10.080 of human freedom right but this is much more than that it's not a dream at all it's it's a active

00:19:15.760 program of which they're pushing to this is why they go out of their way so much to try to cover

00:19:19.920 exactly what they're doing right if this is a dream that they're sitting around cafes and you know wearing

00:19:25.920 berets and thinking great thoughts this is beyond the great thoughts thing this is the active program

00:19:31.440 of moving to converge on this this is why it's so dangerous and well and there's certain

00:19:36.560 there's certain a mile post along the way that if you don't stop it now once you get to the mile

00:19:41.600 post you can't you cannot reverse where we're doing look i've got huge problems just ai overall we

00:19:47.360 talked yesterday about ai psychosis that the holly's going to be on here senator holly's going to be in

00:19:53.280 here in a while the hearing he had with the the parents of the kids committing suicide because

00:19:58.000 they're talking to ai right now so i have problems with that but this is more than a dream makes it

00:20:04.000 seem like it's some uh you know ephemeral thing this is out there am i not correct well uh then

00:20:10.960 if we just go with vision the difference between this and many other technological visions is that

00:20:16.160 this is a vision that is materializing yes and there's objective data to show that this is a vision

00:20:21.440 that is materializing this is my point uh max you're in the heart i mean can you even go on campus

00:20:28.080 anymore you're at mit kind of the one that and stanford are kind of the railheads of this there's

00:20:34.720 many other obviously everybody's into ai now but i mean the railhead is is the great uh massachusetts

00:20:40.640 institute of technology our greatest engineering school coupled with stanford can you even go on campus

00:20:46.080 right now so this this is embedded in everybody's thinking oh yeah most people in private are

00:20:52.400 terrified about this or very concerned they just don't want to say it publicly to not lose funding

00:20:57.920 uh and i'm so grateful to you joe for bringing up our paper because i was a co-author on it you know

00:21:03.520 we found that last year we have we're 27 of the way there artificial general intelligence this year

00:21:10.240 we're at 58 of the way there so we're not there yet we're getting closer fast well hold it but

00:21:18.400 hang on this is my point this is not this is not a dream this is something that we're going down past

00:21:23.520 mile post every day at 58 it's almost like hey can you turn it around i mean that's why

00:21:30.240 your heroic effort behind the scenes you should know that max particularly with the this is the broadest

00:21:35.600 range because people know i'm not the i don't sign these kinds i get this stuff every day for in

00:21:40.560 politics and sign this i i don't do that this was important enough and particularly the the various

00:21:46.720 elements were disparate enough and max and people that i really admire put so much work into this

00:21:52.240 to try to move this forward and actually have a group of prominent people particularly in the science

00:21:56.640 and technology community to kind of formally go on and say hey we're putting you on notice that this

00:22:02.080 can't this can't stop what what is the next steps for you max and actually making sure that we can

00:22:07.440 make this a thing as i call it so the first step is for people to understand that this is not a

00:22:14.560 statement saying stop ai that would be as weird as saying we're against cars or whatever we um we want

00:22:23.680 tools that can cure cancer that can do all sorts of wonderful things and make america strong

00:22:28.640 and uh there's nothing in this letter saying anything about not building ai tools but super

00:22:36.080 intelligence as joe allen nicely explained there is not a tool we have no clue how to control something

00:22:43.120 like that it's like trying to control vastly smarter than human aliens we published a paper me and my

00:22:48.800 mit ai students recently showing that the most popular strategy for trying to control is it just

00:22:54.160 doesn't work right so what we simply need is for donald trump and others in our government to stand

00:23:00.880 up and say look we are only going to allow companies to make things that they can demonstrate our tools

00:23:08.560 that's just like saying that pharma companies can't sell medicines unless they can demonstrate that

00:23:17.600 they're going to do more good than harm you know we treat every single other industry this way

00:23:22.640 but ironically the ai companies have been so good at lobbying that they have this corporate

00:23:28.240 welfare cutout where they're the only companies in america who can just release stuff legally even

00:23:35.360 super intelligence tomorrow you know without having to have demonstrate any safety properties of what

00:23:42.640 they do so just treating ai companies like we treat all other companies will already solve this problem

00:23:49.920 then we'll see an age of abundance where we continue seeing great technical innovations to make america

00:23:56.080 strong and prosperous and healthy with tools and the super intelligence madness will come to a screeching

00:24:03.040 halt because no company is going to be able to demonstrate that this is a tool are you concerned i've got an

00:24:10.000 action plan of confronting the chinese communist party because what they throw back on you right away is that 0.57

00:24:14.320 hey we had a sputnik moment uh this is a race for uh for agi and super intelligence and it's essentially

00:24:21.520 an arms race the chinese communist party is very advanced and we can't stop it i i call out that lie 0.96

00:24:27.360 because they use that all the time on everything with the chinese communist party right that and it's very

00:24:33.520 not easy but it's doable to decouple technologically and financially from this effort let's not say the whole

00:24:41.120 decouple you can finance you can do it from this effort your thoughts on that because we have to deal

00:24:46.000 with a murderous dictatorship that would have got if they got their hands on this on this uh on this

00:24:51.600 technology right they wouldn't they wouldn't they would use it on their own people and they would use

00:24:56.400 it throughout the world your thoughts yeah i put my thumb up there because you're so right that

00:25:02.240 the oligarchs in san francisco keep using china as an excuse for why they should get to do 0.97

00:25:08.400 whatever they want without accountability right the truth of the race this race is that there are 0.96

00:25:14.080 two races of course right there is a race for dominance economic and military and the way

00:25:20.960 to race that race is with tools you don't win a race by losing control over your own tech right and

00:25:27.520 destroying your own country and uh so this is going to continue and this race to build more powerful ai 0.91

00:25:38.160 tools but in the meantime i think both the us and china well if if we can get if we can perforate the

00:25:47.600 lies are gonna stop pushing for super intelligence it's it's not it won't come as any surprise to you

00:25:55.440 steve if i say that i think that the chinese communist party is really into control so the

00:26:01.920 last thing they're going to tolerate is some chinese tech company deep seek or anyone else building something 0.99

00:26:09.360 that building some super intelligence that they will lose control over and they will overthrow

00:26:15.600 the chinese communist party and and the rest of earth right they're not going to allow that and i 0.91

00:26:21.440 think when we have not sec people in the u.s who increasingly start to realize also that this is a

00:26:26.320 national security threat to the u.s government then uh neither company is neither of these countries are

00:26:34.160 going to race to super intelligence anymore but they will continue to race to ai tools for

00:26:40.480 strengthening their economies and their militaries yeah i'm actually a belt and i'm a belt and suspenders guy

00:26:46.720 i i we got to cut them i i i hear you and in a rational world but oftentimes the ccp and particularly 0.96

00:26:54.480 she and these guys are not particularly rationally see some of the efforts they're taking against us

00:26:57.920 but i hear you but that's what we got to do too number one we need to stop they only exist as a

00:27:04.160 technological threat to the united states because of the money and the technology and the training we

00:27:10.880 give the chinese communist party full stop max where do people go to learn more about this where

00:27:15.920 they go more to learn more about our efforts going forward sir anyone who shares our concern here with

00:27:24.400 what these tech companies are doing can go to superintelligence-statement.org not.com

00:27:31.760 superintelligence-statement.org and and join as a signatory because if we what we want to do first

00:27:38.080 to just show the world that this is not something we americans want great uh effort so far it's one

00:27:46.320 of the top stories on every paper in the country and the world thank you sir look forward to having

00:27:50.960 you back what if he had the brightest mind in the war room delivering critical financial research every

00:27:56.240 month steve bannon here war room listeners know jim rickards i love this guy he's our wise man a former

00:28:03.120 cia pentagon and white house advisor with an unmatched grasp of geopolitics and capital markets

00:28:09.280 jim predicted trump's electoral college victory exactly 312 to 226 down to the actual number itself

00:28:18.720 now he's issuing a dire warning about april 11th a moment that could define trump's presidency

00:28:24.560 and your financial future his latest book money gpt exposes how ai is setting the stage for

00:28:31.040 financial chaos bank runs at lightning speeds algorithm driven crashes and even threats to

00:28:37.040 national security right now war room members get a free copy of money gpt when they sign up for

00:28:42.960 strategic intelligence this is jim's flagship financial newsletter strategic intelligence i read it

00:28:50.480 you should read it time is running out go to rickards war room dot com that's all one word

00:28:55.120 rickards war room rickards with an s go now and claim your free book that's rickards war room dot com

00:29:02.640 do it today here's your host steven k van

00:29:11.520 um i'm gonna bring brandon weikert into the conversation brandon the book you wrote on space

00:29:17.040 uh is how many years old came out during trump's first term right yes it was written in 2019 and

00:29:22.720 published in the middle of uh covid so 2020 but you're one of the thinkers that really got president

00:29:29.840 trump and behind the scenes one of the thinkers that got president trump thinking about a space command

00:29:33.760 and how important it was absolutely space is obviously suborbital space the race against the chinese

00:29:38.800 communist party and folks just remember president trump is uh is trying to negotiate with them now it's up in

00:29:45.200 the air whether he's going to meet um you know it's kind of a roll of the iron dice the chinese 1.00

00:29:49.520 communist party has come and put a knife to the throat of the united states of america

00:29:54.720 with these heavy rare earths they understand that what the globalist elite in our country did was allow

00:30:00.080 our processing capability to basically be bought by the chinese communist party i think out of ohio in

00:30:05.360 2015 and shipped to china so they process all the heavy the magnets and all these things you need for

00:30:12.480 production capability to run a production line and they put a knife and president trump is trying

00:30:17.440 to fight back by doing other strategic efforts the high ground in this in this war of the future is

00:30:23.600 going to be space now my problem is you've got a guy this guy isaacson i think it is they're trying

00:30:30.240 to for elon is trying to force his buddy into run nasa because right now we have a national security

00:30:35.520 problem that's problem is and i set aside the fact that people know that elon musk and i go at it all

00:30:41.520 the time and he always loses right when he's out of the government doge was a joke i told everybody 0.95

00:30:46.800 it was a joke it's been you know russ votes the real deal this guy's a clown he wasted seven months 0.56

00:30:53.120 telling president trump we get trained dollars of cuts he ended up with zero okay all the tech bro 0.78

00:30:57.440 all the elon bros ended up with zero um and now he has 97 percent of the launches from nasa and he

00:31:06.720 wants to put his buddy into nasa so he can get 99 it's a national security problem we have one

00:31:12.720 company a private company and president trump who's the ultimate deal maker and took 10 of intel

00:31:19.120 president trump 100 of spacex is funded by taxpayers why don't we own 50 of the company

00:31:27.040 you did a great job on intel this guy it's a 380 billion dollar valuation which him and his

00:31:32.560 shareholders own on 100 government contracts virtually all of nasa's launches it just can't

00:31:38.480 continue we have to spread out for a national security for our own national security we have to

00:31:44.080 get other launch uh companies uh to get get some of the expertise and the biggest thing is this race

00:31:51.920 to the moon back to the moon where the chinese communist party is going full bent we're now years 0.99

00:31:58.160 late and it won't even happen on president trump's watch because elon's got it and with no competition

00:32:03.440 he can just it's a four billion dollar thing contract right 2.8 billion has been spent and

00:32:08.080 they're just kind of tapping along so number one we must broaden out immediately the number of

00:32:14.160 companies that get access to these launches number two isaacson who's a radical left-wing trump

00:32:20.400 hating democrat and i don't care how many times it shows up at the at the white house today

00:32:24.800 groveling that he's maga he's not maga and it's a disaster to put this guy in here because he's a

00:32:31.120 radical democrat who was supporting people all the way up to the evening of 4 november of 2024

00:32:38.000 uh and number three is president trump's done such a magnificent job on really getting the american

00:32:44.800 the united states interest in companies that were given massive contracts to why are we not taking 50

00:32:49.920 percent of spacex look i've called to nationalize it for the simple reason is that it's a hundred

00:32:54.960 percent financed by the nasa contracts or other dod contracts brandon how far off base am i in this

00:33:02.320 sir you're the expert well i would just say um i understand what you're saying but i think

00:33:08.080 nationalization is a bad move only because you know we basically had a nationalized space sector for 50

00:33:14.000 years and the best we could do was pop off a few shuttles into the orbit around earth we need to go

00:33:19.680 bigger and and you know setting aside the issues with elon he's very erratic we know this uh the

00:33:25.360 fact is spacex has been highly innovative but hold it but hold it hang on just hang on stop stop you

00:33:31.360 say very erratic he made a comment on twitter when he was having the fallout with trump that i'm just

00:33:36.240 gonna throw my toys out of the fram and we won't do any launches i got it this is this this is a central

00:33:41.840 and i understand your thing about nationalization but i don't know give us a little something let

00:33:47.040 us wet our beak how about 50 president trump cut an amazing deal with intel what about 50 but the

00:33:53.200 the central issue that's fine is the the assortment of the contracts he right now he gets 97 of the

00:33:59.600 launches am i incorrect on that he gets the bulk majority of them yes and i i would say that from

00:34:04.800 a national security perspective just like with investing you don't want to put all your eggs in

00:34:08.080 one basket when you're investing it's the same thing here and i would say that spacex has been

00:34:12.880 critical for lowering launch costs overall which is key for making space more open but now we need

00:34:19.440 to create build off of that and create an ecosystem steve not just spacex include blue origin include

00:34:25.200 rocket lab also let's get some of our foreign partners the japanese have some really innovative

00:34:30.080 stuff they're doing the indians as well um you know the australians are doing some cool stuff with

00:34:35.120 hypersonics we can start creating an ecosystem of systems that will keep us ahead in the space race

00:34:41.920 but i just want to make it clear we do have to do this very gingerly only because the window right now

00:34:47.360 is so tight if we negate our only real uh silver bullet in the space race which is the ability to

00:34:54.960 easily launch reusable rockets whenever we need to if we negate that by going too hard at spacex then we're

00:35:01.520 going to basically neuter ourselves as china and russia are both rising to dominate the the earth moon 1.00

00:35:08.400 system and that's the key the earth moon system you have to understand it from the strategic high

00:35:13.360 ground perspective help me out here about missing this launch now of the four billion dollar contract

00:35:19.520 i think to go to the moon 2.8's been spent it's been tapped along now it's going to be after president

00:35:24.240 trump's well of course president trump's still going to be president in 2028 but according to the

00:35:29.920 popular press he's not but we've tapped this thing dangerously long why is that is elon just not

00:35:36.480 focus is it was i think that's it focus was time time at doge so the the official yeah yeah the

00:35:42.720 officials reason had to do with they said it was an issue with the ground systems basically the physical

00:35:47.920 system on the ground that provides the launch capability they said they're having technical

00:35:52.640 issues with it other times they've missed the window they blamed it on you know the weather at the

00:35:56.720 bottom line though the end of the day i personally think it's because elon was distracted with all

00:36:01.360 this political stuff i think elon is at his best when he's focused on spacex and when he's not dealing

00:36:07.680 with any of the political guff and in fact in some ways the political guff has hurt spacex

00:36:13.520 because when he was too close to trump biden went after him and now that he's too close to trump

00:36:18.000 uh or now that he's now that he's moving away from trump obviously that also alienates the current

00:36:22.000 administration so he needs to stay focused because this is the problem with relying on only one

00:36:26.960 real player spacex if the leader goes off the rails then we lose that capability and that's why we need

00:36:33.840 an ecosystem and this is why duffy is correct when he says we need competition not just spacex as much

00:36:39.440 as i enjoy spacex sean look we're not i'm not denigrating spacex sure i'm saying you need more

00:36:46.000 competition hell i'm not denigrating it i want to own 50 of it okay if we want a piece no it's

00:36:51.760 ridiculous it's ridiculous giving these government contracts out he's doing financings at a 380

00:36:56.080 billion dollar valuation i think i think there's a conversation for the areas i agree you do i just 0.90

00:37:01.120 don't want it to i just don't want i just don't want it to hurt innovation i do not want it to

00:37:05.360 i got it this is always the problem when you use the n-word nationalization of course that's a bit

00:37:11.120 much maybe maybe we just get it i got it we just get a little percentage a little percentage 50 we'll

00:37:16.880 start president trump's the master negotiator let's start at 50 and work our way up no look

00:37:21.120 elon has done some good though and we shouldn't we shouldn't forget that and i say this as somebody

00:37:25.360 who's been critical of him on other issues but spacex he's been really good on listen i look he

00:37:31.600 has been i think terrific about spacex the problem is you can't put your eggs in all one basket i

00:37:37.520 agree you got to spread the no no contractor should ever have 97 of uh of something you you have to

00:37:44.480 spread your eggs in the basket this was the big pull of spacex initially when they went against united

00:37:49.280 launch alliance which was the boeing lockheed exactly uh conglomerate in 2010 and musk was 100

00:37:54.000 right when he said you can't just rely on these guys we got to get other players but we should

00:37:58.000 take musk's advice and get other players besides spacex as well sean duffy's been a hero in this

00:38:03.520 trying to think that you also can't put this isaac man you can't put his buddy you can't put elon's

00:38:08.480 bestie in with with this we killed it one time we're gonna have to kill it again right i will just say

00:38:15.280 i will say isaac man i don't think he's one of us politically and that is always a concern but

00:38:20.720 isaac man is somebody who is an expert in the field uh i like duffy but you know i wish that we

00:38:26.240 could get an actual astronaut who's not a crazy liberal uh to to lead the organization i'm very

00:38:32.320 concerned about certain things they're talking about doing with nasa such as putting it under

00:38:36.480 duffy's okay but sean okay but sean but sean hang on sean duffy's not saying he's going to run nasa

00:38:42.240 no i got it i got it look for someone so so then i agree i agree he's fighting a tough fight

00:38:48.560 because remember he is all of them on capitol hill and the administration they're all afraid of elon's

00:38:53.280 money this is why they didn't back us on h1b's why was it war room they had to go out and remember

00:38:58.080 he was going to die on this hill elon's going to die on this hill he told us to f our faces remember 0.90

00:39:02.800 exactly he was not shy about it right and now he's on the now we're on the we've changed the program so

00:39:10.240 much for on the we're on the point of uh of actually destroying h1b's anyway weikert you 0.78

00:39:16.320 and i have a lot more to talk about on hemispheric defense sir you've been a great writer across

00:39:20.400 biohack space if people want to find out some of this and there's obviously updates that weikert's

00:39:25.200 going to cite the book space is uh extraordinary kicking off point and really it really got winning

00:39:31.120 space and got the argument going about setting up a space force brandon where do people go

00:39:35.840 for your content sir well you can find me on twitter x uh which is owned by elon

00:39:42.160 uh at uh we the brandon uh and you can find me also i have a show now with um uh america out loud

00:39:49.840 dot news and they air it on iheart every wednesday called the national security hour

00:39:55.920 good fantastic sir good having you on here thanks for having me steve talk to you soon

00:40:00.720 is senator hawley do we have okay maybe we don't care uh fair um the committee on the present danger

00:40:09.680 china we set this up years ago to warn the american people on technology and issues like this the chinese

00:40:14.640 communist party is a mortal threat to their own people lao baijing right and they're a mortal threat 0.95

00:40:21.760 to the american people and they're a mortal threat to mankind overall right so in in space is another 0.94

00:40:28.960 example they're throwing tons and they don't care if their people eat or don't eat they don't care if

00:40:33.600 that 100 million they still have an abject poverty ever get out of abject poverty because they want

00:40:39.200 to go to the moon because in the earth moon system that to them is the high ground uh low orbital space

00:40:45.520 is is is a not the highest ground but it's high ground they want to dominate this planet and they're

00:40:50.720 putting everything whether it's artificial intelligence artificial general intelligence quantum computing

00:40:55.840 you name it but their goal is to eliminate the united states of america am i incorrect sir

00:41:03.920 no steve that's a spot on that's exactly right and so when we're dealing with the ccp we need to 1.00

00:41:11.280 recognize of course that uh per the earlier conversation right the enemy gets a vote

00:41:17.360 xi jinping needs artificial intelligence and he's going to pursue it unless he thinks it threatens party

00:41:23.360 the party's control secondly he's going to dominate space brandon mentioned the strategic reason that's

00:41:29.920 certainly the case there's also the military role that the moon is going to play and then thirdly

00:41:35.280 there's the political uh role that this plays it shows the legitimacy of the ccp to dominate the moon 0.91

00:41:42.720 to do what the soviets couldn't do by putting a tycho knot on the moon of course while the soviets were

00:41:47.760 never able to put a cosmonaut they just put the robots uh on the moon and then as a segue to mars

00:41:54.480 right because the ccp does not accept outer space treaty they're going to own the moon and they're going to 0.99

00:41:59.760 own mars uh and then steve finally i i think it would be you know now is the time to move on ai as well as space

00:42:09.760 but especially ai because um if it's not the nose that we were talking about earlier no students no

00:42:17.760 chips if this isn't done now uh to cut xi jinping off from this it's too late to do it and i would like

00:42:25.200 to have leaders like elon musk running our if he's running our space program i would like a leader who

00:42:32.400 only has america's interests in mind not somebody who's going to have interests in with the the

00:42:38.480 survival of the ccp and jensen hong of of nvidia right he's also got mixed motives i mean that guy

00:42:45.120 is as we've talked about before another agent and influence hang on for a second right there hang

00:42:50.560 up for one second just hang on we're gonna go to break

00:43:04.160 have you looked at your power bill lately electricity prices are at all-time highs and

00:43:09.200 they're only going up even worse power outages are becoming more and more common in fact

00:44:27.040 uh thayer we got to go this afternoon we're also going to talk about uh thwarting the chinese 1.00

00:44:40.000 communist party in the race for agi it's outrageous that american companies and american capital are

00:44:44.880 still in business with them sequoia capital all these guys okay it's greed and avarice uh what

00:44:50.640 your what are your coordinates there and we haven't even gotten to my favorite topic irish and what's

00:44:54.160 happening in ireland but i promise we're gonna we're gonna get it all done uh brother where they

00:44:58.160 go sure but you know we can't have leaders in space or an ai who've got vested interest in the

00:45:03.360 ccp survival amen and success at the end of the day just brad thayer at x and bradley thayer and

00:45:08.800 getter and true thanks a lot steve for covering this see dr thayer has what we call range in the

00:45:14.160 business we're gonna get to irish situation ireland cultural naturalness nationalism which you're

00:45:19.680 trying to thwart thank you brother appreciate you thanks uh joe you're you're my lead you're my

00:45:26.160 lead sled dog on uh on all things ai where do people go go to at joe b-o-t-x-y-z on x and

00:46:10.240 unbelievable joe thank you so much for doing this thank you so much for working with uh max tegmark and

00:46:15.360 the great guys there at mit and max's institute for life uh mike lindell senator holly's supposed

00:46:21.920 to be here i know he's running late they got hearings everything going on um sell me a pillow

00:46:26.640 brother since you're going to put on hold your governor's race right now to sell us some pillows

00:46:31.200 what do you got for us all right everybody yesterday you all responded uh to the the corrupt ruling in

00:47:55.200 mike thank you so much brother we'll talk about your christian uh network of uh of helping people that

00:48:01.600 are in trouble either with addictions and or other issues senator holly a huge day in artificial

00:48:07.360 intelligence i know you're one of the ones working on this shutdown can you get us an update on the

00:48:11.360 shutdown for us i think we're winning the shutdown if they want illegal aliens to get paid by the united

00:48:16.400 states government as much as we're in debt i think the war and posse would tell you we got your back

00:48:20.960 we're hard no can you get us up to speed yeah i will i think the democrats are right in the same

00:48:25.840 position you just outlined see which is they want money going to illegals they don't want health care for

00:48:29.760 our veterans you go to the va right now if you're a veteran you're going to find all kinds of stuff

00:48:34.080 stuff shut down why because the democrats would rather give money to illegals than pay our veterans

00:48:39.280 who bled for this country and that's it in a nutshell and that's their position so i hope sooner or later

00:48:45.040 they'll come to their senses and they'll realize you know what this is the wrong thing it's the wrong

00:48:49.040 thing to tell american citizens who paid their taxes who have served this nation that we're just

00:48:53.680 going to screw you in order to pursue some far left-wing agenda but that's where they are right now

00:48:58.080 and i tell you senator holly just just no just real quickly but is there anything to negotiate 0.59

00:49:02.560 they keep on us all day long he's got an is there in your mind right now is there anything to negotiate

00:49:08.480 sir well listen here's what i say to them and all the dems who say we need a negotiation make the

00:49:13.840 president an offer you've got the president in office right now who is the ultimate deal maker he's

00:49:18.720 the best deal maker in the oval office in my lifetime maybe ever i mean i don't know who would surpass

00:49:24.800 him in terms of his record you want to make a deal take him a deal they're not doing that though steve

00:49:29.520 that's a talking point they're not doing it they're not saying okay here's what we want what

00:49:33.600 they're out there doing is trashing trump complaining about the ballroom at the white house and whatever

00:49:39.120 else while they're denying veterans health care benefits i mean come on i think people see through

00:49:43.360 this what what's your what's your message to the uh to the president in our audience i only got a

00:49:48.880 couple minutes i know you've been in uh in hearings and meetings what's your message to the

00:49:52.720 president united states about this situation well i think he's doing the right thing i mean this is a

00:49:57.200 guy who's paying the military he's paying our law enforcement he's paying border patrol the only

00:50:01.520 reason any of these people are getting paid is because donald trump is finding every avenue that he

00:50:06.320 can to try to get paychecks to our folks who are out there wearing the uniform keeping us safe i mean so

00:50:11.680 my message to him is thank you i mean thank you for doing that thank you for standing up for our people

00:50:16.560 for the american people it's the democrats who would rather shut down the entire government

00:50:21.120 than pay an ice agent they would rather shut down the entire government than build the border wall

00:50:26.080 they'd rather shut down an entire government than stop illegals from getting medicaid i mean it just 0.99

00:50:31.200 shows you where their priorities are we know that we hear that some some of the rhinos are getting

00:50:36.640 wobbly what's the message to the posse of what we need to do from with your guidance over the next

00:50:41.600 couple of days well i just think the message is is listen we got to draw a line on the sand

00:50:46.560 on never giving health care money that the american people need and have paid for to illegal aliens 0.64

00:50:52.560 we've got to draw a line in the sand that we're going to fully fund ice we're going to fully fund

00:50:57.360 the border patrol we're not going to accept cutbacks on any of those areas we're going to stand firm and

00:51:02.880 defend our military defend our law enforcement and make sure that our people who need these services

00:51:08.720 our veterans our seniors get what they have been paying for their whole life steve i mean that's

00:51:13.440 the real injustice here is our seniors our veterans who paid into these programs their whole life now

00:51:17.840 can't get them why because the democrats don't like donald trump senator hawley what are your

00:51:23.760 coordinates where do people go to find out more about you josh hawley.com and you can find me on the
