00:01:09.000 I tell people, Greenland, in the hemispheric defense, Greenland's big.

00:01:15.000 Cleaning out Latin America, making sure it's sorted is big.
00:01:18.000 But Canada is huge.
00:01:20.000 And this is going to be an issue.
00:01:22.000 I said this six months ago.
00:01:23.000 There's going to be a big, big issue.
00:01:25.000 And Carney's kowtow to the Chinese Communist Party is a...

00:01:48.000 I think right now, if you look at some of the proposed stuff in the deal,
00:01:53.000 most of it is ending by the end of the year.
00:01:56.000 And I think that that, too, from the Canadians, is essentially the warning
00:02:00.000 to the Americans, to President Trump, to say that, look,
00:02:04.000 maybe we will stop this if you do what we want.
00:02:07.000 Despite the fact that it was the Canadians themselves,
00:02:09.000 specifically Ontario Premier Doug Ford,
00:02:12.000 who messed up all of the trade negotiations
00:02:15.000 by publishing a doctored footage of Ronald Reagan last year anyway.
00:02:21.000 So it was the Canadians who scuppered the initial trade talks.
00:02:24.000 So I think that's on the table.
00:02:27.000 But I think if we look deeper into what's going on,
00:02:30.000 I think strategically, obviously, Greenland is a major issue
00:02:35.000 for missile defense, for a number of other things.
00:02:38.000 But I think one of the important things, too, that a lot of people aren't
00:02:41.000 talking about is the Northwest Passage, because the Northwest Passage
00:02:44.000 goes between the shortest point on the eastern side of the Northwest Passage
00:02:48.000 is between Baffin Island, Canada, and between Greenland.
00:02:51.000 And so who controls that is not the United States either way.
00:02:55.000 But the United States does control the exit of the Northwest Passage,
00:02:58.000 which is in Alaska, then between Alaska and Russia.
00:03:02.000 And so not having that under some sort of control would allow,
00:03:06.000 potentially, the Chinese to come in and the Chinese to control that
00:03:11.000 in the way that they do with the Panama Canal.
00:03:13.000 Take a second. Hang on.

00:03:16.000 Well, the Panama Canal, they're getting cleared out.
00:03:19.000 This is why the Northwest Passage is very big.

00:03:25.000 that so many people gave their lives to freezing to death up there
00:03:28.000 to find the mythical Northwest Passage?
00:03:31.000 Why is it a reality going to become more and more geostrategically important, sir?
00:03:38.000 Well, it's become more strategically important,
00:03:41.000 but, I mean, if you believe in global warming,
00:03:43.000 obviously it's going to be more traversable.
00:03:45.000 It's going to be more traversable because of Arctic exploration,
00:03:49.000 so you're going to see more countries wanting to use it as a trade route
00:03:54.000 and also use it as a method to be able to explore Arctic resources
00:03:59.000 and use that as a way to transport Arctic resources,
00:04:02.000 whether we're going to find more rare earths up there
00:04:05.000 or whatever it may be in Greenland or wherever.
00:04:09.000 But, I mean, it is a major trade route that was always sought out,
00:04:13.000 but back in those days in the 1800s, early 1900s,
00:04:16.000 it wasn't necessarily that they had the technology to be able to do it,
00:04:20.000 especially in the winter, and the winters there were generally colder than they are now, too.
00:04:25.000 So it will be in the future a major trade route, just as much as the Panama Canal,
00:04:31.000 just as much as the Suez Canal, and China realizes this.
00:04:35.000 China realizes, just like America, just like the British Empire did,
00:04:38.000 that if you control the choke points of trade, you control the world.

00:05:35.000 Mexico and Canada are our two biggest trading partners.
00:05:38.000 The situation in Canada is big.
00:05:40.000 As I said, they scuppered the first round of real serious trade talks.
00:05:45.000 You've got this situation with national security.
00:05:48.000 All the NORAD system really is predicated upon,
00:05:53.000 a huge amount of that is predicated upon the sites in Canada.
00:05:58.000 Remember, this is why the Arctic is going to be such a,
00:06:01.000 what I call the great game of the 21st century.
00:06:04.000 Who controls the Arctic is going to have a major ability to control the world.
00:06:09.000 And the Chinese Communist Party know this.
00:06:11.000 They're not, they're not, they're evil, but they're not dumb.
00:06:14.000 And they're quite strategic as you've seen how we're,
00:06:17.000 how we're having to roll them back from every choke point in the world.
00:06:21.000 You know, the Chinese Communist Party is, they're the first to kind of take both
00:06:25.000 Mackinder's control, the pivot of the Eurasian, the center of the Eurasian landmass,
00:06:29.000 the heart of the world island.
00:06:31.000 Also to take on the British Empire's Mahanian strategy.
00:06:35.000 This is what they've done with one belt, one road to try to do both simultaneously.
00:06:39.000 Brian Kennedy, how serious is this situation in Canada given the prime minister's kowtow
00:06:48.000 to the Chinese Communist Party on global television, sir?

00:06:54.000 This will be one of the big issues that the president's going to have to deal with in the days and weeks ahead.
00:06:58.000 Look, during the Cold War, the Department of Defense, or now the Department of War,
00:07:05.000 had plans for the invasion of Canada.
00:07:08.000 Because during the Cold War, if we somehow lost Alaska and Canada to the Soviet Union,
00:07:15.000 we from the United States were going to have to invade Canada and take them back.
00:07:21.000 Because it would be intolerable to have a foreign power right above our northern border.
00:07:27.000 Not merely because of the ideas of the Monroe Doctrine, but just commonsensically,
00:07:33.000 that provides us with top cover defense.
00:07:36.000 Alaska today is our main top cover military base to defend the United States.
00:07:42.000 Canada is right there as well.
00:07:44.000 So when we look at what Carney is saying here,
00:07:48.000 he is making, he says, a strategic partnership with the known enemy of the United States.
00:07:54.000 May of 2019, they declared a people's war, Communist China did, against the United States.
00:08:00.000 They've never repealed that.
00:08:02.000 And so Carney, who knows that, has made a strategic partnership with an enemy nation of the United States.
00:08:10.000 Not only does that affect NORAD, but they're a member of the Five Eyes Intelligence Cooperation.
00:08:15.000 And so we're going to have to reevaluate that Five Eyes relationship with Canada today.
00:08:21.000 Not next week, not next month.
00:08:24.000 Today, we're going to have to make a reevaluation of that.
00:08:27.000 We need to evaluate today whether NORAD is secure and whether we're going to be able to rely on Canada at all.
00:08:34.000 What if Canada under this strategic partnership allows Chinese troops to operate on Canadian soil in some kind of BS, you know, relationship building exercise?
00:08:47.000 This is fundamentally intolerable for there to be a strategic partnership.
00:08:53.000 Let me say, Steve, I'm concerned that the Chinese and the Canadians also just don't think we're serious about what we're doing here.
00:09:02.000 The president is absolutely dead serious.
00:09:05.000 But back to our earlier conversation about illegal immigration.
00:09:09.000 During those Biden years, 200,000 Chinese men of military age, what appear to be special forces, came across our border.
00:09:19.000 What are we doing today to root out those 200,000 Chinese nationals, which appear to be special forces, who are operating here in the United States?
00:09:31.000 And I would tell you, we don't have efforts going on adequately to make that a reality.
00:09:38.000 The Chinese know this, and they may think we're not serious.
00:09:42.000 The Canadians know this, and they may think we're not serious.
00:09:46.000 Actions need to be taken by President Trump to demonstrate just how serious we are about both the immigration problem and how we're dealing with communist China.
00:09:57.000 My other fear, too, is that when you talk about the Arctic North, which used to be Canada's great barrier, it's now their biggest exposure.
00:10:09.000 This is why I say they could be the next Ukraine.
00:10:12.000 There you have two Slavic entities fighting over the Russian-speaking eastern border.
00:10:17.000 It's turned into a major war, a destructive war, but it's not in the vital national security interests of the United States.
00:10:24.000 Canada's north, you just heard about the Northwest Passage, which is right on top of their territorial.
00:10:30.000 If the Chinese Communist Party either one works out some agreement to have basing rights or some sort of exercise rights there or just decides that Canada can't defend it because the president of China came in 2010 and gave a speech.
00:10:44.000 He had a speech. He had a state visit to Canada.
00:10:47.000 And in the middle of that, I think he gave a speech where he said, hey, we're in Arctic power, too.
00:10:51.000 And they were looking around going, China's in Arctic power? What do they mean by that?
00:10:54.000 He was targeting Canada. And that is in the vital, Canada is in the vital national security interest of the United States.
00:11:02.000 Some of our forefathers thought that, too, both in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, etc., where we invaded Canada a couple of times in the French and Indian War, which is all about Canada.
00:11:17.000 Right. American troops, as part of the British Empire, fought with with General Wolfe and others.
00:11:24.000 So Canada has been always kind of a linchpin for American security now with advanced technology.
00:11:31.000 It's even a bigger in the Northwest Passage. It's even a bigger in what we're doing in Greenland.
00:11:36.000 I mean, this is inextricably linked the hemispheric defense. Hemispheric defense for the United States starts in Canada.
00:11:43.000 Carney and their people worse than Carney there. You're seeing a shift in Canada right now.
00:11:50.000 And this is why I think Alberta in this succession movement, they're seeing they're sitting there going.
00:11:54.000 It's not just about economics. That's not about tax policy. Canada is rapidly changing.
00:11:59.000 Twenty five percent of Canada's. You just heard Thomas and say twenty five percent of Canada's population is foreign born.
00:12:06.000 Twenty five percent. Right now, Canada is rapidly changing.
00:12:10.000 And I'm going to tell you, if you look at Parliament, if you look at some of these papers, you look at the discussion on TV there.

00:12:53.000 The Chinese triads and other criminal organizations operate freely in Canada, doing all sorts of things that bleed over into the United States.
00:13:02.000 They've allowed unchecked illegal immigration or actually mostly probably legal immigration, allowing in large numbers of Muslims.

00:13:14.000 And so they they present a unique problem to us that we simply can't let fester.
00:13:21.000 The two most important nations to us immediately are Canada and Mexico, because problems there bleed over into the United States.
00:13:29.000 Here we have a Canadian prime minister and a Canadian, you know, government that is friendly to a central enemy of the United States, the central enemy of the United States.
00:13:42.000 And President Trump really needs to get on top of this as soon as he can.

00:35:53.000 Steve, the controversy surrounds the Overwatch Act.
00:35:57.000 The Overwatch Act is put forward by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast of Florida.
00:36:04.000 The bill itself, at least in the form that I've read, the bill itself basically requires the Commerce Secretary,
00:36:14.000 so that would presently be Howard Lutnik, to produce a national security strategy on chip exports.
00:36:21.000 That would include the AI capabilities of adversaries.
00:36:25.000 That would include the indigenous chip production capacity of foreign adversaries.
00:36:31.000 Any U.S. company that wants to export chips to an adversary, and that would naturally be NVIDIA,
00:36:38.000 any U.S. company that wants to export to an adversary would have to submit an application to the Commerce Secretary,
00:36:48.000 or the Commerce Department, which would then go to Congress, and Congress would then review the application,
00:36:55.000 and if it was determined that the chip exports would give an advantage to a foreign adversary,
00:37:02.000 they specifically name China, North Korea, Venezuela, so on and so forth,
00:37:09.000 then Congress would have the power to veto the export, to block the export.
00:37:14.000 Now, the argument on the other side is that this somehow subverts the President's ability to block chip exports.
00:37:21.000 The bill itself doesn't mention the President at all, and of course the President is naturally going to have the power to conduct foreign trade deals,
00:37:32.000 and it doesn't in any way, as far as I can tell, impede the President's ability to block chip exports to adversaries.
00:37:39.000 So, given that David Sachs is the biggest critic of this,
00:37:44.000 and one imagines NVIDIA is behind the scenes, perhaps even supporting arguments against the bill,
00:37:51.000 that the opposition is largely based on the fear that NVIDIA won't be able to expand their market even further into China.
00:38:06.000 This fight, this is a follow-on from the fight.
00:38:09.000 We killed the amnesty bill.
00:38:12.000 Sachs, the only real defeat that President Trump's had is the face plant that Sachs led him into
00:38:18.000 on trying to do the amnesty bill on the big, beautiful bill, number one.
00:38:22.000 Took the exact same thing.
00:38:23.000 This is the arrogance and naivete.
00:38:27.000 Both they're naive and they're arrogant at the same time.
00:38:30.000 They took the exact same thing and tried to slide it into the NDAA

00:42:20.000 Huawei represents a tiny fraction of chip manufacturing and exports.
00:42:25.000 Then NVIDIA represents the vast majority and over 60 percent of the compute worldwide.
00:42:33.000 I think it's pretty clear that if we keep providing China with the chips to use and perhaps reverse engineer, it only builds up their A.I. training and inference capacity.
00:42:46.000 And on that note, that benefits U.S. companies that want to accelerate the technology, because what's the justification?
00:42:55.000 We have to beat China. What better way to justify acceleration than to build up your adversary, even if it's in a limited capacity?
