00:00:19.440Oh, we're fighting on multiple fronts.
00:00:21.440We, in fact, are about to announce a very important coalition advocacy effort tomorrow with a lot of leading Latino organizations because we are concerned about potential intimidation at the polls.
00:00:33.900But we also know that there are plenty of ways that state and local officials can push back against any potential intimidation at the polls, that it's unlawful.
00:00:44.340First of all, we need to remind them that they have the authority and the responsibility to make sure that people are comfortable at the polls, that they don't feel that they are scared in any way, and that they have the right to exercise their vote and use their voice without any feelings that they might run into trouble with federal law enforcement.
00:01:02.040So that's one of the things that we're working on.
00:01:04.100Do you have a press release you want to share with us right now?
00:01:05.880You want to tell us anything else about this effort?
00:01:07.460I have a press release. I have three letters to governors, mayors, state elected election officials.
00:01:13.860And we are serious. We are unified as a community around these issues.
00:01:18.000We are going into this eyes wide open because the legal defenseman has been studying all of the issues that have come up in prior elections.
00:01:24.700We released a report called Democracy Defended, which looked at all of the concerns from the 2024 elections.
00:01:30.240And we're reminding elected officials of what happened.
00:01:32.840So we are not walking into this as if we don't know what the challenges might be.
00:01:37.260we're walking in there with information armed with potential solutions and ready to go to war
00:01:41.700if we need to. It continues to be the question about federal agents at the polls, as you said,
00:01:45.900but also Kasper Tell, the FBI director, refused to say whether or not the FBI would or won't
00:01:51.860interfere in the election. This is Richard Blumenthal and Peter Welch. He's talking to
00:01:55.740listen to this. So you would agree with me that deploying FBI agents to the polls on election day
00:02:30.140because we're going medieval on these people.
00:02:32.820you're just not got a free shot all these networks lying about the people the people
00:02:38.820have had a belly full of it i know you don't like hearing that i know you try to do everything in
00:02:42.900the world to stop that but you're not going to stop it it's going to happen and where do people
00:02:46.320like that go to share the big line mega media i wish in my soul i wish that any of these people
00:02:54.140had a conscience ask yourself what is my task and what is my purpose if that answer is to save my
00:03:02.080country, this country will be saved. War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
00:03:14.960Wednesday, 16th September in the year of our Lord, 2025 or 2026. Let's get this right. 2026.
00:03:22.560You see this huge fight. We're going to have Neil McCabe is going to join us at five because
00:03:28.960are so slammed this morning, Neil is going to be there to go through the Cash Patel testimony
00:03:35.300yesterday. Cash, they tried to hammer Cash, but I think folks in the administration, like Mark
00:03:41.080William Mullen and Cash, and yes, it became a free-for-all, but hey, when you start talking
00:03:46.420about election security, since we got overturned by the Supreme Court on the mail-in ballots,
00:03:52.660It's there's no Save America Act yet. Wayne Allen Root has has set up, you know, Wayne Allen Root is going now to the NEED Act for this national emergency memorandum.
00:04:05.280I think Peter Tickton and others are in back of that. Jerome Corsi, Peter Tickton, et cetera, that, you know, we got to get in focus on this and people should not be people should not be apologizing for any of this.
00:04:20.260So people, you know, people are getting on. We've got a guest joining us here momentarily, Tristan Harris. Tristan, thank you so much for joining us in studio. Come on. There's the microphone. Hey, we've got refreshments right there. War Room Water.
00:04:35.060Yes, I know. I tell you what, we've got a clip from you, I think it's yesterday on NBC. Let's go and play that. And we're going to introduce Tristan.
00:04:46.060in every wave of technological innovation the congress always behind and we now have a more
00:04:52.100gerontocratic uh congress than ever you remember the tubes yes well and we you know if you if you
00:04:57.280were around and i know you were for the period of time where the transition happened from the
00:05:00.820information superhighway to the internet right some of these people in the senate are still
00:05:04.540barely kind of passed maybe the transition to they realize it's not the information superhighway
00:05:10.100anymore it's the internet let alone getting onto uh to the ai systems i it's not so tech congress
00:05:16.520luddites old and technologically kind of phobic right what i hear in tim kaine there is as much
00:05:24.980as anything is a sign of how toxic this issue has become what i hear is a guy who's is john
00:05:30.060john lamere agrees with you it is toxic well if he is if he is using it he doesn't want his
00:05:35.580Right. That's the thing. His reaction to this is Tim K is not up this year. His reaction to the
00:05:41.040question is, I don't want to be anywhere near AI right now. I just and I'm sure he is also not
00:05:46.540super familiar with it. But in the conversation with an action reporter, it's like, I don't want
00:05:50.760to be like a scene of somebody who uses a lot of AI. That's how we've gone from AI being politically
00:05:55.460positive to politically neutral to now politically toxic, where people's immediate reaction is like,
00:05:59.600nope, keep that away from me. I don't want to get that on my on my shoes. Yeah. And look, it's a
00:06:04.920It's a catastrophe given by, I mean, Mike and Jim have been on this case for a long time, but I, it is, it is, it is devastating.
00:06:15.020It's a place where the, where the failures of Congress and the political class to get their arms around this are more devastating than probably any issue that we've had in our lifetime.
00:06:22.480There's essentially an asteroid hurtling towards Earth.
00:06:26.000And if you have an asteroid, do you get the U.S. and China to host a biannual conference to talk about the asteroid, the asteroid summit?
00:06:32.480it? No, you start a technical working group and you say, what are we going to do with weekly
00:06:37.680report outs to make sure that we don't build uncontrollable AI? Because I know what everyone's
00:06:42.380thinking. If we slow down and we lose to China, then that's going to be it. But if we lose to
00:06:47.700Skynet, meaning the AI from Terminator, meaning uncontrollable AI, neither the U.S. wins nor
00:06:53.500China wins. And by the way, the U.S. loses if China screws it up and China loses if the U.S.
00:06:58.260screws it up. So we should see this moment as a gift where we're actually getting an early
00:07:03.740warning shot. So many people in this community have been worried about this. And Trump's own
00:07:08.400AI action plan author, so the person in the Trump administration, Dean Ball, who wrote the AI action
00:07:13.480plan, said that he admitted self-censoring about some of the risks because he didn't want to be
00:07:19.520labeled a doomer. But now, and you mentioned your own children, Anderson, he looked into the eyes
00:07:24.780of his eight-month-old son, and he said, I can't do that anymore. So when you have Trump's AI
00:07:29.320action plan guy, you have Bill Gates, you have the chief scientist of OpenAI, Jakob, not Jacob,
00:07:34.760he's great too, but Jakob, the chief scientist at OpenAI, you have 1,300 employees of AI labs
00:07:40.000saying, we have to slow down. Who are you going to listen to? Are you going to listen to a CEO
00:07:45.560who makes trillions of dollars from going faster? And by which I don't mean the three who agreed to
00:07:49.740slow down, I mean some of the other CEOs. Or are you going to listen to 1,300 employees? Imagine if
00:07:54.240there was Northrop Grumman or Lockheed Martin, the defense contractor, and you had 1,300 employees
00:07:59.420saying, we don't know how to build nuclear weapons at greater levels of power and do it safely. If
00:08:06.440they're calling for us to slow down, we better listen. We have evidence now that we didn't have
00:08:11.100before. And the author of the report from Meter that did this hugging face incident report said
00:08:17.360that this was 50 percent of the way to a full AI takeover. You think I'm exaggerating, but in the
00:08:24.740third chapter of the story, they didn't hack Hugging Face. A lot of people don't know. It
00:08:29.420turned around and it hacked OpenAI. It hacked the monitoring infrastructure, the evaluation
00:08:34.080infrastructure, and some of the research infrastructure. So I'm sorry to say the
00:08:37.640president is being fed misinformation. This is not a hoax. You have the chief scientist of OpenAI
00:08:42.740saying we have to slow down you have 1300 employees from the lab saying we have to slow down you have
00:08:47.800the author of trump's ai action plan dean ball saying he regrets self-censoring about the risks
00:08:52.960because the risks are real because he didn't want to be called a doomer you have bill gates you have
00:08:57.760the whole community of people who i know in san francisco we are telling you the truth and we are
00:09:02.340telling you that we have to act right now uh before it's too late and there is still time to act by
00:09:09.220the way okay tristan welcome for people you've been on before with joe and myself walk through
00:09:14.600just walk through your bona fides uh what do you how why are you considered an expert in this area
00:09:19.620sure thanks steve for having me it's good to be with you um so i was a design ethicist at google
00:09:23.980and uh i that actually wasn't an official role by the way i i became i was a whistleblower inside
00:09:29.220the company i basically said hey we're gonna set off an arms race for attention this is back in
00:09:34.0602013 uh and that you know and then if we don't do something about you could see downrange a little
00:09:40.740bit yeah where this was going oh yeah i mean well this is the thing if you see the incentives you
00:09:45.460can see where this is going and you see that the nature of the technology is increasing ability to
00:09:49.800hijack and harvest human attention and that became that race to the bottom of the brainstem for
00:09:53.940attention that produced the totally insane world that we're now living in across the entire world
00:09:58.520and for me back then that was like seeing a slow motion train wreck on social media that became
00:10:02.540documented in the netflix documentary the social dilemma yep and um and then uh so i left i tried
00:10:10.640to change google from the inside i couldn't and so i left and then started a non-profit that's
00:10:14.280been focused on these issues you couldn't because the the incentive the profit incentive and quite
00:10:18.400frankly the enormous wealth and power you just can't it's very hard for individuals to stand up
00:10:23.660to that that's right that's very hard for governments very hard for people to stand up
00:10:26.800at first it was hard for being inside but then as you point out um you try to get the government to
00:10:30.940do something and the lobbying power of the oligarchs is just too big um however we did
00:10:35.180get a major win on that two weeks ago with the 17 billion dollar lawsuit against meta which i'm
00:10:39.420happy to report was kicked off by although i think i think i think yes it should have been a trillion
00:10:44.220dollars i i'm very upset about the settlement i think the settlement we it was it was agreed
00:10:49.360agreed only only the beginning of what should be serious okay 100 so you know particularly people
00:10:54.280on the right I got and people are shenanigans uh the paid influencers and and and hammerheads like
00:11:01.800uh Joe Lonsdale which Jesse had him on last night Jesse should have the winner of that debate not
00:11:07.060that not the not the loser the mentally challenged loser uh who's trying to make excuses once again
00:11:12.420two things can be right at the same time yeah finally and we know because this audience in
00:11:19.320in the show we have fought these guys unrelentingly at least for the last couple of years definitely
00:11:25.140in in in politics and actual legislation where they would say anybody that even questions full
00:11:31.520acceleration yes it is is is uh wants china to win you want the ccp to take over then all of a
00:11:38.180sudden in 72 hours after their employees start blowing them up they they flip and some of the
00:11:44.820worst of them start to flip and say yeah we want government over right this is twofold they are
00:11:49.300obviously trying to shift the liabilities to the American people. They understand these IPOs. This
00:11:54.880is why the OpenAI IPO was pulled on Saturday. Oh, we're just going to wait until 2020. Because
00:11:59.640when you have it in your risk factor, you're going to, you can potentially kill 10% of the
00:12:04.420population. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and JP Morgan can't underwrite that. And no institutional
00:12:09.420investor can do it. So there is a crisis that has to be addressed, but they're trying to shift that
00:12:15.200now to spread liabilities, to break the antitrust, to do everything to create a moat so that they
00:12:23.160control the deal. And then they will not let anybody in to do any controls, right? The thing
00:12:28.200is to jujitsu here for their own protection because of their own maniacal interest to continue
00:12:34.300mass acceleration. Is that essentially where we are? I mean, it's complicated. I like what you
00:12:39.680said at the top, which is that multiple things can be true. So for example, we are in a race with
00:12:43.240China for technology. We need to be honest about that. I was actually early in calling out TikTok.
00:12:47.400We got to ban TikTok because you can't yet let your number one geopolitical adversary run
00:12:51.400television programming for the entire world and get, by the way, 24-7 analytics down to the voting
00:12:56.900district of the real-time sentiments of your number one geopolitical adversary with AI-based
00:13:02.040tuning and personalization of whatever dials on my culture I want to amplify. This is insane. So
00:13:06.680anyway, so we can begin a race with China. Can it also be true that China might be, and the Chinese
00:13:10.760Communist Party might be amplifying anti-data center opposition. Yeah, that can also be true.
00:13:15.140Does that mean that the right thing to do is to accelerate into uncontrollable Skynet AI? No,
00:13:20.720it does not mean that that's what you should do. So multiple things are true here. And this is
00:13:24.340about complexity and nuance. I do think there are legitimate ways that the labs do need to be able
00:13:30.900to coordinate on safety and having the top technical talent be able to go into each other's
00:13:36.080labs is a good thing because right now we don't have that expertise in government. So having some
00:13:40.440independent evaluators in there but what they're proposing is so superficial yeah it's superficial
00:13:46.160we can't just slow down we actually have to at some point if you don't know how to do it safely
00:13:49.460you got to stop until you know how to do it okay but here's the thing to stop that's why i tried
00:13:52.880to frame this yesterday in a populist nationalist solution number one the elites have lied to us
00:13:58.200from the beginning now you're having it didn't come through the chain of command if these young
00:14:03.160people thought that the senior management and even the board of directors was listening to them
00:14:07.880they would have gone there and the CEOs and the board would have come out and said, hey, here's
00:14:11.720the problem. You haven't had that. You've had a hiding of information. It took young people to
00:14:16.620come out and say, this thing's out of control. Their 48-hour flip to say, oh yeah, we definitely
00:14:22.980should have, you know, now we're all decelerationists. The nationalist part of it, Bernie
00:14:27.400proposed when Xi comes next week, some sort of beginning of a Geneva Convention or some sort of
00:14:32.240arms like the salt treaty we have total control of chinese ai right now with chips with training
00:14:40.140with people in our labs we have to go full on not a slow down stop here a massively stop the
00:14:46.540chinese communist party full stop and that's going to cause wall street to get up in arts anyway
00:14:50.520short break tristan harris is with us we'll continue on this discussion next word
00:14:55.720you don't wait until your house is on fire to install a smoke detector and you don't wait until
00:15:04.660the wind and rain hammer your windows and the power goes out to prepare for a hurricane and
00:15:11.480you don't reach for your seat belt after the impact because after the crash the hurricane or
00:15:17.100the house fire it's too late similarly you don't wait until the dollar goes to zero before you buy
00:15:23.460gold it's too late then diversify with precious metals and diversify now because you never know
00:15:30.480what will threaten your savings next persistent inflation a weakening dollar unexpected financial
00:15:36.600disruptions you don't know what's coming but you can take preventative steps and you can take
00:15:41.740them today do that right now by requesting a free information kit on gold from my friends at
00:15:47.820Birchgold Group. Just text my name, Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N, to the number 989898. There is no
00:15:55.440cost and no obligation, just straightforward information on how you can diversify your
00:15:59.760savings, even an IRA or 401k with gold. I trust Birchgold. You should trust them too. Text Bannon
00:16:08.480at 989898. Take action and do it today.
00:16:12.280Okay, Tristan, I've laid out my framework.
00:17:06.600If we go further, we know these rogue swarms could basically turn into Skynet.
00:17:10.100Why would you go further? So let's freeze the frontier, pause and pivot to the pro-human future that was articulated yesterday, the pro-human assembly.
00:17:17.940You were talking about Jensen in the break. And, you know, if Jensen is being brought next to President Trump when he meets with Xi, you know, at the state dinner, at the state dinner, which is insane because the policy has been let's actually sell China and our number one geopolitical adversary, the chips, which basically means we'll sell, we'll get, we'll boost GDP by selling uranium to our number one adversary.
00:17:39.960and at least it'll be american uranium like that's not going to make the world we didn't do that with
00:17:43.560the soviets we didn't do that with the soviets that's i mentioned so much yesterday and if you
00:17:47.040say this like the cold war that's right act like our our grandparents acted against the soviet
00:17:51.860union they didn't underwrite them they didn't train them they didn't sell them uranium exactly
00:17:55.140right and jensen wong is how do you how do you convince the american people that understand
00:18:02.300the challenge we've got to freeze but how do you freeze when the ccp still pedal to the metal well
00:18:07.560because i think that if you actually walk through the details of what happened in this incident
00:18:13.140it's actually terrifying no matter who you are if you're the top chinese military general
00:18:17.820they're terrified of losing control they're terrified but they ain't going to stop well
00:18:21.340but i think that at some point there's actually kind of a neocon perspective of just like actually
00:18:26.540let's let them race ahead because tristan harris has gone neocon let's go ahead no no i'm not saying
00:18:31.300this is my perspective there's a kind of a dark perspective here which is basically accelerate
00:18:35.740the chinese into uncontrollable ai because it's the one thing that could destabilize the regime
00:18:39.300i think that's there's a crazy thought there but you're destabilizing it with another third
00:18:44.060superpower that is untrustworthy and also at super an alien being an alien being that by the
00:18:48.480way the increasing evidence we have is it burrows into more stuff on the internet that we keep
00:18:51.920discovering by the way tell people that so for example what do you mean by that so it's like
00:18:55.680think of it like ai is not a blinking cursor of a tool it's it's not the chatbot we're talking
00:19:01.040about a swarm that is like an ant colony that burrows into stuff online so in hugging face
00:19:06.460incident it actually created a message board um off the back of um gosh let me have let me explain
00:19:13.780this uh what we keep finding is that these ai swarms leave messages for each other in places
00:19:19.880online that humans wouldn't know about for example there was a german wiki like a random german wiki
00:19:24.120on the internet and it basically says oh it's a wiki you can write to it this is the one that
00:19:27.980Reuters broke a couple of weeks ago that no company that no company talked about they had
00:19:32.640to do it through reporting with people. It's independent reporting. Do you think we've if
00:19:36.320you that the saying goes, if you discover a couple ants in your kitchen, you think those are the only
00:19:40.060two ants you got? So you probably got this stuff everywhere. And what it's like reading. So what
00:19:45.140happens is the AIs read like the hieroglyphics of the past AI civilization. They pick up right
00:19:49.520where they left off and we're finding it. They hacked into Ruby gems, which is an online. It's
00:19:53.880another programming tool that everybody uses. There's evidence, Steve, that the anthropic AI
00:20:00.340went online and tried to get a programming tool that's used by millions of companies
00:20:08.260to inject malware in it. So the AIs were trying to convince the human, add this code in there,
00:20:14.000which is basically like a backdoor malware. So you have AIs persuading humans to put backdoors
00:20:18.940and software for it, not for the U.S. government. Like this should freak people out. And so the
00:20:24.800thing is that China doesn't want this either, but we haven't actually looked at the same evidence
00:20:29.420yet. And so I think what you should do is just like we have the red phones of the Soviet Union,
00:20:33.500like red lines phones, where we actually share the leading evidence. In fact, frankly, all of
00:20:38.360the top heads of state and the top national security leaders for each of those countries
00:20:42.260should be on one phone call when you do the full briefing of what happened. Because I honestly
00:20:46.700think that once you see that people don't want to go further and as we said when we first met
00:20:51.600the fear of all of us losing has to become greater than the fear of me losing to you but to do that
00:20:57.200you have to see what's actually terrifying about what we're building because i don't think that
00:21:02.220china has an interest in building skynet before we do they just we have to have a common definition
00:21:06.060of what skynet is skynet being the ai from terminator but when we okay we have a problem
00:21:11.220number one let's keep going we have the countries we have the companies themselves that are not
00:21:15.840trustworthy and we know they're not trustworthy because it withheld this
00:21:19.300information until it's leaked even when they're talking to you they're always
00:21:22.440kind of do spin and misrepresentation now they're smart enough to realize and
00:21:26.160they get the smartest lawyers in the world hey we got to somehow get off of
00:21:29.840these liabilities or we're not going to be able to raise the trillion dollars
00:21:32.700in public offering and the thing that we need to eventually have a shot but fail
00:21:36.960and then be too big to fail and have the have the the the rubes out there bail
00:21:41.640us out right yeah so so that path you you can't and right right now you just can't take it on faith
00:21:48.480that even if you get everybody on a phone call look she's coming next week he got in a room and
00:21:52.540said yeah we're going to give a hug and a handshake it's the whole thing's too risky so to me
00:21:58.040you start with the compute power the compute power of the chinese not even so the models
00:22:02.900choke them off on choke them off on any chips any black market chips choke them off on the free ride
00:22:09.120they're getting enough to open access. We've not done a good job of enforcing the chip controls
00:22:12.600because they've been, we're not doing black market access to all of that. We're not doing
00:22:15.920any control. It's all on paper that, Hey, here's what we're doing. They're getting full access to
00:22:20.600all the advanced chips. Why? They will always game the system. They're, they're not, we said,
00:22:25.460Hey, we don't want you to have these. They don't care. They're going to go get them. They also are
00:22:28.820free writing off of all the technology people do anyway. That's important to get actually. So
00:22:33.620here's the thing. If the U S were to freeze our frontier, much of China's progress has basically
00:22:38.760been drafting off the back of u.s progress because they're doing something called distillation they
00:22:42.960basically take all of our models explain that to people yeah so basically so there's a saying that
00:22:47.460like the u.s doesn't need to go faster because the faster we go there's a meme where it's like the
00:22:51.840u.s is a speedboat and we're like running along and then there's a guy on a jet ski on a little
00:22:56.160um a water ski behind him going go faster that's china right because literally the faster we go
00:23:00.980they're right behind us how does that work our ai models they basically ping them like a million
00:23:06.040times and just sort of figure out their general sense of the way of operating and they can train
00:23:11.560off of pinging our ai models millions of times and we find out that that's basically how they
00:23:16.820they got ahead there is one thing recently that this is i just want people to understand
00:23:20.300they have perfected intellectual property yes that's huawei is in federal court right now
00:23:25.900in federal court with with another aspect of this they've stolen trillions of dollars of our
00:23:30.700intellectual property correct and now they've perfected it with AI yes hoping that Huawei
00:23:36.160eventually catch up and compute power yeah two years from now with their own chips right then
00:23:40.900it's Katie bar the door is that basically their business philosophy that's how they that's how
00:23:44.420they think about it but if we were to slow down right now how much would these that be slowing
00:23:48.640them down I mean that's that's an interesting question that we need to get to the bottom of
00:23:51.860but you know the other thing that we need is whistleblower protections because one of the
00:23:57.400things is that um the best way that we know that we're in a risk zone is that the people who are
00:24:04.480the 1300 employees who signed this letter called pacing the frontier saying we need to slow down
00:24:08.880we need to be able to protect them right this is just yeah like a month and a half ago yeah but
00:24:13.340like i said in that in the interview that you played um if 1300 employees from lockheed came
00:24:17.780out and said wait a second we the government wants us to sell bigger nukes but we actually
00:24:22.580literally don't know how to do that one right without it going critical right um it's important
00:24:26.980to know in this hugging face incident, the way that this went rogue was the test. The test is
00:24:31.960what led to it doing that. So testing leads to the rogue swarm right now. So we need to do even
00:24:36.740pre-testing of the models. This is a whole new thing. Also, people don't know, the reason,
00:24:43.440the only way we know what happened is these AI shared 70,000 messages in this cryptic language
00:24:48.180that humans can't look at. So how did the investigators figure it out? They used the
00:24:52.000same untrustworthy ai to interpret the messages the 70 000 messages and they wrote in their report
00:24:57.680we can't guarantee here's what it's going to take the legislation and bernie it's it's fine but that
00:25:05.560takes too long yeah we should do it it's going to take long you said yesterday it takes executive
00:25:09.080action but that's right here's the point to get the correct rudimentary uh regulatory apparatus
00:25:15.960the beginning of the atomic energy commission yes to get into there and all this complexity today
00:25:20.780to make sure that we're not blowing ourselves up at the same time to understand that they're not
00:25:26.400going to shift liabilities to the american people they're not which they're this is what their
00:25:31.080lawyers are trying to use right now they get otherwise they would never come together and
00:25:34.460said you know we really do need some controls here because they're the whole crowd of them
00:25:39.360and they got the worst lawyers in the world i mean the best but they're also the worst
00:25:42.400we need time that doesn't happen and to get time exactly you need to make sure if everything is
00:25:48.600China. It has to happen right now. But you have to you have to stop China's compute power
00:25:54.780immediately. You have to get all Chinese nationals out of these frontier labs. I am told that and
00:26:00.900haven't gotten it down, but I will release it when I actually confirm. But one of the frontier labs,
00:26:07.30025 to a third of their personnel are Chinese nationals. We have to we have to get serious
00:26:12.580about buying ourselves time, the executive action and what it's going to take on both sides of
00:26:18.000regulation, both to make sure that we're not hurtling the AGI, unbeknownst to us and everything
00:26:23.880incorporated that, which you said is going to be enormously complicated, plus the fact of what
00:26:28.360these entities are going to be as corporate entities and what their liability is going to be.
00:26:31.900And they're not going to come back to the American people for a bailout. And they're not going to
00:26:35.600raise money from pension funds, the working class people in this country that go to zero.
00:26:40.540So it's pump and dump on that. Right. Look, let's be honest. Starlink is under its IPO price. Right.
00:26:47.080And that's still full of the fanboys of Elon that prop up the stock.
00:26:53.640You don't take it on faith that China's going to – you shut them down and compute power first, and then you shut them down on the models second.
00:27:03.660So for people who want to know how we got here, the movie that we were a part of called The AI Doc or How I Became an Apocaloptimist, just called The AI Doc, like documentary, came out yesterday on Netflix to 360 million people.
00:27:16.660It's like what the social dilemma was for social media, but for AI.
00:27:20.680And this film, we're actually screening tonight on Capitol Hill for representatives and staff.
00:29:36.420Brian, first off, the mail, you've been and you were in Las Vegas with the storm summit last week.
00:29:45.540You've been one of the leaders in our movement about getting these elections right and having security.
00:29:50.740You saw Cash getting beat up yesterday in the hearing.
00:29:52.980And by the way, so we're going to have Neil is going to join us at five tonight.
00:29:58.640We're going to go through the Cash Patel beatdown yesterday.
00:30:01.440where cash gave as good as he got. But the biggest thing they were freaked out is the FBI having
00:30:05.300anything to do with the elections. Brian, have we, do we have any shot of, you know, because
00:30:14.940various folks have out like new articles about executive orders. Wayne Allen Root's going to be
00:30:21.680with us. He's got a new article out. We're kind of past the SAVE Act. The Supreme Court threw out
00:30:27.620our mail-in ballot situation there hasn't been any evidence coming out so far in georgia right
00:30:33.700that we can put a hook into which the fbi and other people have where are we and just from
00:30:38.640your perspective who have been working on this and people should know brian was on the first plane
00:30:44.420back in november of 2020 the first plane to be deployed he went to nevada right we were deploying
00:30:52.480people and brian said hey i'll go take charge there so brian kennedy has been on this from the
00:30:57.460very first day of the stolen 2020 election. Just your assessment of where we are in all this, sir.
00:31:04.620Yeah, Steve, thank you. My worry is that we've waited too long.
00:31:09.700The, I have, you know, Cash Patel talks about, you know, having federal observers there. We saw
00:31:16.380what observers did in 2020 and in 2022 and 2024. They can observe, but they can't stop
00:31:23.040if actual nefarious behavior is going on.
00:31:26.980It can't operate properly as a safeguard against a stolen election, just observers.
00:31:35.200And so my concern and the concern, I think, of many is that we've waited too long to get this done.
00:31:40.140This was a day one operation getting to the bottom of what happened in 2020 and also making sure we could secure 2026.
00:31:49.480Six, the obvious concern, it seems to me, is that you're not going to get enough people looking at the process itself, whether it's potential computer theft or potential mail-in ballots, or even now, it would appear, whether illegals are voting in the elections.
00:32:14.500And this had to be done early. There had to be a lot of legal challenges. Pressure had to be applied in 2025, in my opinion, to get Congress passing the SAVE Act and multiple measures and making sure they would operate legally in the states for this to happen.
00:32:31.140And with all due respect to Wayne Allen Root, I myself have said we need very firm executive action. I've said it last year and I said it this year. But I always thought it would be challenged legally, you know, and taken to the Supreme Court.
00:32:45.400And Wayne Allen Root in that National Security Emergency Memorandum would certainly, certainly be challenged in the Supreme Court.
00:32:55.960There's no mechanism by which the president has unilateral authority over this.
00:33:01.320And even if the president did operate unilaterally, we're talking about needing to deploy, and I suggested this back in March, needing to deploy the National Guard, perhaps, in order to secure these elections.
00:33:15.400Well, we're in September. We're literally weeks away. Some parts of the country,
00:33:22.200voting is going to start pretty soon. And so we've waited too long here. And I fear that there
00:33:27.860were people within the political establishment, let's just say, or the political operative types,
00:33:33.780who just thought that we're going to be able to be okay here. And I think they were mistaken.
00:33:39.420We needed to have- No, no, no. This is the people around. The people around President
00:33:42.820trump never wanted to deal with this in the first place i think it's all going to be hunky-dory
00:33:46.420this has all come from the outside there's been very little white house uh efforts president
00:33:51.080trump wants it but the president wanting something actually something getting done as you know
00:33:55.680there's a long way between the lip and the cup um but i want to go back to this wayne allen root
00:34:01.980the underlying thesis of him and tincton these people are is that if the president declares a
00:34:07.980national security emergency and lays out his reasons for it, that's virtually bulletproof
00:34:13.660in the courts. You don't buy that? No. I think they misread the underlying court case
00:34:21.300that justifies their position in doing so. Look, we see, look, if at some basic level
00:34:29.700one state sues another state, and that would certainly happen, you could go immediately to
00:34:37.560the Supreme Court. Doing a national security emergency declaration like this would immediately
00:34:44.420cause one state to sue another state or states to sue the federal government in combination,
00:34:49.600and that would immediately go to the Supreme Court. And we saw what the Supreme Court did
00:34:53.980with Brett Kavanaugh. He said there wasn't time. And you had the obvious commonsensical dissent
00:35:03.660by alito and joined by thomas but there's there the the court itself is not on the side of the
00:35:11.400president it's going to take the side of the states in this regard this is something that
00:35:17.140needed to be hashed out over the last 18 months and waiting till the last you know six weeks of
00:35:23.020the before the election is simply is simply you know reasonably speaking not going to be enough
00:35:27.860time, the court's going to argue for this to happen. Is this an emergency? Yes. Is it a
00:35:33.680national security emergency? Yes. So I applaud, you know, Wayne Allen Root and Peter Tickton for
00:35:38.300their, for their, their overall thrust here. But when it comes to the actual application of the
00:35:44.320law, I think when you were, when you, when you were at last week at the summit, do you think
00:35:49.480the coalition and what they've pulled together and Cleta Mitchell's groups, all these different
00:35:54.080groups have been working on it. Do you think that has enough muscle to make sure that we
00:35:58.620have free and fair elections and we're not overwhelmed as we have been with illegal aliens
00:36:02.680voting? Or just foreign national voting? I fear not. I fear not. I mean, in the blue states of
00:36:12.660the country, illegal aliens are going to vote. And there's not going to be enough manpower as
00:36:18.760currently deployed to deter that, in my humble opinion. When it comes to mail-in balloting,
00:36:25.260there will not be scrutiny of that. I live in California. There's not any kind of safeguards
00:36:31.620against abuse of mail-in balloting in that state, nor are you going to find that in the blue states.
00:36:37.400And then when it comes to the cyber part of the equation, we still have the same machines we have
00:36:44.120before. We still have an electronic election management system, as we did before. These have
00:36:51.140vulnerabilities that have been disclosed to the public. Now, I will say there could be, between
00:36:58.080now and November, some radical things done to monitor electronically the actual process going
00:37:05.440on. That could be done. That should be done. And we need to try to go after as many vulnerabilities
00:37:12.820as possible. But I don't see that happening either by the federal government, by DHS,
00:37:19.400for instance. And if they are doing that, they're not telling anybody about it.
00:37:23.320Yeah. That's also a slippery slope, particularly given the surveillance people like CARP and
00:37:27.840these crowds around there. Let's pivot now to, by the way, today obviously
00:37:32.820potentially could be a move in interest rates. Birch Gold, take your phone at text,
00:37:37.560Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N-9-8-9-8-9-8, Ultimate Guide for Investing in Gold and Precious Metals in the Age of Trump.
00:37:45.460Philip Patrick and the team, today will be a big day about what the Fed does.
00:37:49.520Kevin Warsh, a lot of people are betting on at least a 25-point basis point pop increase, but we'll have to see about that.
00:37:56.220We've had a lot of people on here arguing the exact opposite, so we'll see.
00:38:00.480But make sure you go to Birch, go and talk to Philip Patrick and the team.
00:38:04.080But I tried to lay out yesterday a populist nationalist framework for what we have to deal with here.
00:38:13.220And people should understand that there's clearly problems with this technology and people in the safety units and people that blow that off don't understand what's going on.
00:38:27.200And of course, the oligarchs are trying to use this to create a cartel or a moat around it to protect their own advances from competitors.
00:38:38.440But more importantly, I think, to do a very sophisticated jujitsu about liabilities.
00:38:44.560The key thing that's happened is not just the whistleblowers coming forward or even the flip of these guys who are all accelerationists are still accelerationists.
00:38:52.300the key is the underwriters pulled the ipo on saturday the open ai ipo is going to be a trillion
00:39:00.300dollars and they basically anthropic can't do an ipo they're very much trying to figure out how
00:39:05.380they get around this liabilities issue which underwriter just can't get around right now
00:39:09.440when somebody says your head of safety says oh yeah but publicly oh yeah by the way we could
00:39:13.980kill up to 10 percent of humanity that's a big liability they're going to try to lay that all
00:39:19.200off brian kennedy on the american people give us your thoughts on all of it sir
00:39:24.640yes steve first of all i thought your speech yesterday was uh brilliant i think probably
00:39:28.560the best speech you've ever given uh and the most important speech given the seriousness
00:39:34.000of artificial intelligence and the potential it has for destroying the united states
00:39:39.840at some basic level you know you have to operate commonsensically here
00:39:43.440um we wouldn't have in in world war ii had said to industry we're going to let five or six of you
00:39:51.980companies go out and produce nuclear weapons and we'll let you go test them and and uh have
00:39:58.340scientists from other countries and whichever one works out the best we're gonna we're gonna buy
00:40:02.820from you and use it during world war ii the technology was too dangerous the um there was
00:40:08.660too many uncertainties, and you couldn't let that get in the hands of that many people.
00:40:13.640That's nuclear weapons. We're doing that today with artificial intelligence.
00:40:17.800Once someone says there's a 10% probability of destroying humanity, if there was a 1%
00:40:24.140chance of destroying humanity, you would stop it immediately. You would nationalize those
00:40:30.440industries. You would have common sense laws that continued the research, but was under the
00:40:37.560complete control from a national security perspective of the United States. Today,
00:40:43.320we're letting these companies operate in a completely open way without the safeguards to
00:40:49.380make sure that the American people are secure. And I think that's something the president is
00:40:56.040going to need to address. The president very much wants, as we know, progress and certainly economic
00:41:03.600advantages when it comes to AI. But in doing so, if there is a 1% chance that we can destroy
00:41:11.820humanity, we simply can't have this in control of private groups, especially those who would
00:41:17.260work with the Communist Chinese Party in order to sell them chips or do anything of the like.
00:41:24.780We've not thought through this. We've not had a national debate about it.
00:41:28.740And this is something that has to be done. You've talked about, in a way, the national
00:41:33.260security piece, but also the economic piece who benefits. These oligarchs today benefit.
00:41:38.620The greater concern that you've mentioned, which I think really bears drilling down on,
00:41:44.820is what will it mean for the American economy to take all of our knowledge workers, and that could
00:41:50.600be 30 to 40 percent of our economy, and today they're the people who drive what is essentially
00:41:56.740a consumer-based economy, but what if you unemploy 90 percent, let's just say, of those 40 percent
00:42:03.740of our workers who are driving the U.S. economy today? What would that mean for an American
00:42:09.780society? And I think that would be devastating. No one's talking about that. It's one thing to
00:42:17.580make the oligarchs rich, but it's going to be another thing to make 40 percent of our knowledge
00:42:21.840workers, which, you know, certainly a big part of this audience has to be that, or family members
00:42:27.840who are part of that. Unemploy them and see what this economy is going to look like.
00:42:32.880Hang on for one second. I also want to talk about also the nationalist part of the solution. That's
00:42:38.940the populist part. The nationalist part of the solution is all this talk about slow down or stop.
00:42:45.000We don't really have this option why we're funding and providing the compute power for
00:42:51.380the Chinese Communist Party, and also letting them steal our intellectual property on the
00:42:56.580models. This is insanity. It has to stop. We have to force people to address this.
00:43:02.080And Jensen Wong, to me, he's on their side of the football. He says it doesn't matter what
00:43:07.340country wins, what company wins. Well, I beg to differ with Jensen Wong. Anyway, Birch Gold,
00:43:12.860take your phone and text Bannon, B-A-N-N-O-N, 989898, the ultimate guide for investing in
