00:32:49.520 was advanced economies are now paying $3.3 trillion in interest on internationally traded

00:32:57.320 government bonds last year alone. That is more than the entire world spent on defense

00:33:02.760 or artificial intelligence. It's an astronomical amount of money. Now think about the problem that

00:33:10.360 we're seeing with rising interest rates, right? Look at what happened yesterday in the bond market.

00:33:15.400 The 10-year Treasury climbed back above 5%, which means Washington now faces higher borrowing costs

00:33:22.140 as existing debts start to mature.

00:33:24.920 But again, it's not just a US problem.

00:33:27.160 The same thing's happening in Britain, France, and Japan.
