00:00:00.000 This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
00:00:07.680 Pray for our enemies, because we're going medieval on these people.
00:00:12.920 I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people.
00:00:17.200 The people have had a belly full of it.
00:00:19.100 I know you don't like hearing that.
00:00:20.540 I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that,
00:00:22.300 but you're not going to stop it.
00:00:23.220 It's going to happen.
00:00:24.480 And where do people like that go to share the big lie?
00:00:27.900 MAGA media.
00:00:28.800 I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
00:00:34.680 Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
00:00:38.440 If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
00:00:44.720 War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Band.
00:00:48.040 Thursday 22nd of October, Anno Domini, 2000 and 26th.
00:00:59.720 Hardenwell here at the helm on Steve Bannon's Warham.
00:01:03.040 Interesting show today.
00:01:04.480 We're going to come at the two imminent elections
00:01:09.100 that are occupying everyone's mind right now.
00:01:12.040 We'll do the Israeli elections in the first half of the show
00:01:14.660 and then the Brazilian elections in the second half of the show.
00:01:20.500 So let's start off with then Israel.
00:01:22.480 The election is scheduled for Tuesday 27th, that's next week,
00:01:27.780 to elect the 120 members of the Knesset, the Israeli parliament.
00:01:34.340 Very, very honoured today to have a guest that many people consider to be
00:01:40.440 one of the world authorities on the subject of Zionism, Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro.
00:01:49.840 Rabbi Shapiro, welcome on to the war room.
00:01:53.000 Okay, so we're going to do quite a bit of the show today.
00:01:57.800 It's going to be about definitions, I think, because when I say you're an orthodox rabbi,
00:02:06.260 Many people will say, okay, Orthodox rabbi, Zionist.
00:02:12.760 That's not the case.
00:02:14.760 Before we go further, I think we need to make a distinction.
00:02:17.740 As I said, we're going to have to do a lot of definitions, I think, on the show today.
00:02:22.960 The first definition then will be the difference between Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox.
00:02:32.540 Now, many people who read the foreign press will be familiar with the term,
00:02:37.980 and I'll say it in English, Haredi, with English pronunciation.
00:02:42.180 You'll correct me if I'm wrong.
00:02:45.280 I think the Israelis would put the H at the beginning.
00:02:52.300 I'm not going to go out of my comfort zone on here,
00:02:55.820 but when introducing foreign words,
00:02:58.300 I do at least try at least once on the show to get it with the accent
00:03:02.520 as it would be heard in the country of object, which is Israel today. 0.80
00:03:07.740 Though obviously, as soon as you start speaking,
00:03:11.280 I guess you'll realize that you're not Israeli, but American.
00:03:16.120 But in any case, the word Haredi for the ultra-Orthodox in the singular
00:03:22.660 and at the plural, Haredim.
00:03:25.900 And that's as far as I'm going to go on this,
00:03:27.580 But those two words, I think, are going to come up quite a lot as we take this interview forward. 0.90
00:03:33.520 OK, so you're a Zionist.
00:03:38.080 The book here, and Denver, if you wouldn't mind just putting up the book here, this is a 1,400 page. 0.50
00:03:44.000 This is one of the most reputed and respected and authoritative books on the subject here.
00:03:55.420 And I think one of the essential things that you do, Rabbi Shapiro, in this book, and I read out the title, it's The Empty Wagon, Zionism's Journey from Identity Crisis to Identity Theft, is you start off really making the essential difference between Judaism and Jewish identity and Zionism.
00:04:15.260 And how Zionism, somewhat like a cuckoo, has pushed the other eggs out of the nest and become the dominant mode of expression. 0.74
00:04:27.160 Certainly, I think that would be the case in US media. 0.83
00:04:31.040 So why don't you start off then and explain to a largely American, largely evangelical, conservative evangelical audience,
00:04:42.340 though we do have some traditional Catholics, explain how Zionism isn't the only game in town in terms of the contemporary expression of Judaism.
00:04:57.760 How did we get there? And how does that make an impact on these elections coming up on next Tuesday?
00:05:05.120 Denver, if you wouldn't mind, just put up on the screen the first article that we're going to be sort of talking about.
00:05:11.320 There we go. So this is what the informed media is talking about,
00:05:17.520 how important the Haredi are, the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community is now in Israel.
00:05:25.900 And I will add this, I saw an article earlier this week, Rabbi Shapiro, that said, if there aren't going to be any other changes between now and 2050, by 2050, if those demographic predictions hold true, the ultra-Orthodox, the Haradim, are going to be 25% of the population of Israel.
00:05:55.900 So that is the direction that Israel is going in.
00:06:01.480 So from your perch on these issues, perhaps to start off on that for me,
00:06:08.460 explain how not all Orthodox Jews are Zionists
00:06:13.660 and how there's a legitimate anti-Zionist expression
00:06:16.800 and how it's fundamentally based on the idea that Jewish identity
00:06:21.260 is based on divine revelation from God.
00:06:23.700 It's not a political or even a nationalist political expression of a modern secular state.
00:06:31.100 Thank you so much for having me. I'm glad to be here today.
00:06:35.960 You gave a very good analogy when you said that the Zionists pushed the anti-Zionist Jews out of the nest.
00:06:45.020 What the Zionists actually did is they moved the location of the nest. 0.79
00:06:49.720 That's what they did. 0.78
00:06:51.600 The nest of the Jewish people for thousands of years, and by that I mean the identity and the center of gravity for the Jewish people, was the religion.
00:07:03.120 The definition of a Jew is very simple.
00:07:06.440 For thousands of years, Jews have understood themselves to be the recipients of the Torah that God gave Moses on Mount Sinai in the book of Exodus, in what the Christians call the Old Testament.
00:07:18.960 that created a new covenant between the people who were at Mount Sinai,
00:07:25.160 those that Moses led out of Egypt, were there at the time,
00:07:28.580 as well as, and this is our tradition,
00:07:31.680 the as-yet-unborn souls of many, many future generations of the descendants of those people.
00:07:40.440 The souls who were at Mount Sinai accepted that Torah willingly,
00:07:45.000 together with the people who were there,
00:07:46.980 And our law says that those souls can be identified because they will have mothers who are descended of those people who are at Mount Sinai.
00:07:59.580 In other words, Judaism is a covenant between God and people who ever accept it.
00:08:08.380 And God gave Moses not merely the Ten Commandments. 0.70
00:08:12.560 Our belief is that the Ten Commandments are ten categories.
00:08:15.920 and there are really 613 commandments.
00:08:20.460 Christians, I guess, by way of analogy,
00:08:23.120 the best way I could explain it for Christians to understand
00:08:26.000 is that being Jewish is a calling.
00:08:28.760 You now were called by God to fulfill this priestly-type lifestyle,
00:08:35.060 as the verse says about the Jewish people.
00:08:38.660 In the Book of Exodus, they are supposed to be
00:08:40.980 A kingdom of priests and a holy people.
00:08:47.480 Anybody who wants can join the Jewish people.
00:08:50.800 It's not dependent on DNA.
00:08:53.840 It's not dependent on ethnicity.
00:08:55.640 It's not dependent on blood. 0.74
00:08:58.220 The fact that if your mother is Jewish, that makes you Jewish is ruling its doctrine. 0.65
00:09:02.660 It's derived that verse. 0.83
00:09:06.440 verse. However, anybody who wants can convert to Judaism, can join this covenant, even if you
00:09:14.780 weren't called. Some of the greatest Jews in history were converts. Ruth, the Moabite woman
00:09:21.200 in the book of Ruth in the Bible, was the ancestor of King David himself, as it says at the end of
00:09:27.160 the book of Ruth. The prophet Ovadia, the great translator of our Torah, Unkelus, Shemaiah,
00:09:35.040 the sages. These were converts to Judaism, and we welcome converts. We don't proselytize because
00:09:43.260 it's not required for people to become Jews as long as you fulfill the seven Noahide laws that
00:09:53.800 God gave to Adam or to Noah. Let's just say Noah for now. Basic laws of civilization. You can't 0.87
00:10:01.820 kill, you can't steal, you can't worship idols, you can't, certain sexual promiscuity is
00:10:09.980 prohibited. You have to have set up a type of civil law, civil courts, and things like that.
00:10:19.760 So basically, Jews are a religion. And even though there are non-religious Jews, what that
00:10:26.480 means is those Jews who are non-religious are, according to our religion, called to fulfill the 0.77
00:10:33.280 613 commandments by God. They are considered people who have the calling, and again, I'm just
00:10:39.620 using this word as an analogy so the Christians can understand, but ignore it. And therefore, 0.85
00:10:45.900 if you get the calling and you ignore it, you are worse off than somebody that wasn't called and
00:10:53.500 fulfills the seven Noahide laws. So there's no such thing that Jews are on, per se, being Jews 0.93
00:11:00.080 as a higher species or anything like that than the rest of humanity. Judaism is a meritocracy.
00:11:08.440 And if you don't believe in the religion, if you reject the religion, if you reject your calling,
00:11:14.840 if you were called, meaning if you are obligated to fulfill those 613 commandments and you deny
00:11:20.580 them. Let's say worst case scenario, someone's an atheist, not merely that he's weak and he gives 0.87
00:11:25.260 into temptation and he violates the Torah, but actually he denies its validity. He denies the 0.98
00:11:32.180 existence of God. Such a person is further from God than a regular non-Jew that fulfills the 1.00
00:11:39.660 seven commandments. And therefore in real life, I could tell you as a rabbi, that's somebody like 1.00
00:11:44.420 Theodor Herzl, who denied the Torah. He was a complete heretic. Godless heretic is further
00:11:52.520 from God than an average Muslim, let's say, that believes in God, doesn't worship idols, 1.00
00:11:58.600 regular law-abiding person. There's no question about it, according to Judaism.
00:12:05.320 He has a closer place to God. The non-religious Jew still retains his calling, and in that sense,
00:12:13.100 I guess you could call Jews, you could refer to Jews as people who are called to fulfill the 613 Commandments. 0.79
00:12:20.480 Now, this covenant also creates a bond between all Jews, between all of the people who are bound to the covenant.
00:12:36.940 But that's a spiritual connection.
00:12:40.320 okay if okay so the way you're describing this i i have to give a shout out to um to our show
00:12:49.240 sponsors in just a moment and then i'll pick up again afterwards but the way you're describing
00:12:53.180 this is in explicitly religious terms and i think and it's kind of you to put this into some of this
00:13:01.400 into metaphors or explanations that Christians can understand.
00:13:08.740 Most of what you've expounded here can be understood by a Christian audience.
00:13:15.800 They understand exactly what you're talking about when you use the language of covenants
00:13:19.520 and call invocation and calling.
00:13:22.520 We might understand, Christians might understand it in a different way
00:13:25.580 and understand responding in a different way.
00:13:30.000 but they understand but christians will understand the concepts that you're referring to i i without
00:13:34.980 putting any words in your mouth i think what you and and that's how you know to pick up from what
00:13:39.840 you're saying at the beginning that is how jews have always understood their identity
00:13:42.920 for um what three thousands of years or so years right four thousand years three thousand four
00:13:50.640 today today is the year is we're approximately 5 788 um eight years from creation of the world
00:14:00.900 and the giving of the torah was in the year 2448 all right i i okay perfect perfect um
00:14:08.520 and i think where you're going to go and that's how jews have always understood themselves
00:14:14.880 as fundamentally living as a response to God's covenants and God's promises.
00:14:24.280 And I assume where you're going to go with this, though you can correct me after the ad read,
00:14:30.080 is modern Zionism is somewhat of a divergence of that,
00:14:35.600 not just for Jews in Israel, but for Jews around the world,
00:14:39.440 whose primary form of identification is not, as you've just been explaining,
00:14:46.740 but in a very different, is understood in a very different way
00:14:49.600 and to do with the foundation of the secular political state,
00:14:55.960 the secular state of Israel.
00:14:56.860 All right, stand with me, stay with me if you wouldn't mind, Rabbi Shapiro.
00:15:02.280 Time to shout the shout out to our show sponsor, Birch Gold.
00:15:07.620 Three developments that have taken place then in the last few weeks, last month or so, are vitally important for the war room possibly.
00:15:18.620 And it's this first off, August, America passed the rather serious milestone of clocking up $40 trillion worth of debt.
00:15:37.200 For which the present interest rate, the present annualized servicing of that $40 trillion debt is $1.2 trillion. As interest rates start to rise, that $1.2 trillion figure is set, predicted to become $2 trillion.
00:16:01.180 That's a lot of money. At $1.2 trillion per year, that is more than the US federal government spends on defence. And that's a significant achievement for the world's largest military industrial complex in the history of man.
00:16:19.320 Already Americans, for every tax dollar you are paying, 43 cents goes into servicing the national debt. Not paying it down, simply servicing it.
00:16:32.140 $43 of every tax you pay on an income tax, a huge amount.
00:16:41.000 That's item number one. Item number two, up on the screen now,
00:16:44.440 President Trump himself indicated that inflation could be a solution
00:16:50.760 for diminishing that $40 trillion worth of debt, just inflate it away.
00:16:57.640 print money and inflate it away. The third item I will draw your attention to this evening
00:17:06.360 comes from the Financial Times last week, which said that investors were predicting within two
00:17:16.980 years gold would set new record price. There it is up on the screen. Okay, so those are the three
00:17:23.000 things. In short, what to make of those three things which are obviously tied
00:17:28.220 together. In short, America, if not the world generally, but also America, is
00:17:34.940 heading into times of economic turbulence. And if you have dollar savings, they are
00:17:42.620 at threat of being washed away
00:17:47.960 by inflation therefore in terms of solutions in terms of practical
00:17:54.200 solutions speak to Philip Patrick and his team a birch gold group they are the
00:17:59.700 world experts in helping ordinary regular everyday Americans navigate this
00:18:07.460 crisis by for example converting an old IRA into an IRA in physical gold that's

00:18:20.520 do do that before October the 30th every ten thousand dollars you purchase now
00:18:27.140 I realize not everyone's gonna have ten thousand dollars to invest but for
00:18:30.980 those that do every ten thousand dollars of gold that you purchase from butch
00:18:37.460 gold you will get a free patriotic silver round and there is no limit to how
00:18:44.400 many of those silver rounds you can earn don't forget their rounds that's the
00:18:48.800 technical name for them rounds not coins all right um don't forget birch gold
00:18:55.800 has an a-plus rating with a better business bureau and already served tens
00:19:02.220 of thousands of customers once again text bannon to 9 8 9 8 9 8 or indeed go
00:19:09.600 to birchgold.com forward stroke bannon back now to rabbi yakov shapiro rabbi
00:19:16.440 shapiro so in your own words then the difference between the religious
00:19:23.720 identity of Jews throughout the 5,000 years
00:19:30.980 And today, you would frame it how, and how does that make an impact with regards to the elections next Tuesday?
00:19:42.820 And I realized this is a long and complicated, these things are long and complicated, and you will need to come back on the show at a future date and continue to unravel and unpack what's going on here.
00:19:57.260 Okay, so let's see what I could do in the short time allotted right now.
00:20:04.040 What I say, this year is 5,788.
00:20:06.980 I think I may have misspoken before.
00:20:08.680 I was translating from the Hebrew, from creation. 0.75
00:20:11.920 But anyway, the Zionists, the emancipation and the Enlightenment came, 0.93
00:20:17.800 and there started the invention of this thing called non-religious Jew. 0.82
00:20:23.740 Now, at the beginning, the non-religious Jews, Jews lived in ghettos for maybe a thousand years. 0.90
00:20:29.980 And I'm talking about Europe for now.
00:20:32.800 And they were finally allowed in colleges and to live more like regular people because of the emancipation and the Enlightenment.
00:20:42.040 There were many Jews that decided they want to assimilate. 0.62
00:20:46.500 They're not happy with the priestly and holy lifestyle that Jews are obligated to live. 0.69
00:20:50.580 they want to become artists and professors and doctors and lawyers, which is there's absolutely
00:20:57.240 nothing wrong with it. Just if you want to be a priest, then that's not your vocation. But there
00:21:01.660 are many Jews who wanted this to be their vocation. So they figured that they want a non-Jewish 0.97
00:21:07.600 lifestyle. So they assimilated. The problem is that their assimilation didn't work. Starting 0.83
00:21:12.460 approximately 1881, Russian pogroms attacked Jews, which targeted the assimilated Jews as much as the
00:21:20.220 religious Jews, which gave these assimilated Jews a major identity crisis. They said,
00:21:25.420 we don't want to be like those Jews. They actually didn't like the Jews too much. They
00:21:31.600 were more of a so-called enlightened secular lifestyle rather than the lifestyle of what
00:21:41.280 you call the ultra-Orthodox Jews. But that led to an identity crisis, and they didn't know what to
00:21:46.180 do. In those days, there were many ideologies floating around. Communism and nationalism was
00:21:51.920 one of them. And many Jews figured that, well, communism will work because if you believe in 0.95
00:21:57.940 communism, if you believe in communism, the idea is everyone's treated equal. So they figured the 0.71
00:22:02.380 Jews will be as well. One of the isms that was floating around in those days was nationalism, 0.86
00:22:08.760 where people became nationalities, not merely that you were a subject of a king. You actually
00:22:15.840 were part of a real nation. And depending upon what type of nationalism you're referring to,
00:22:23.860 be it liberal or all the way at the other end of the spectrum, organic or even racial
00:22:28.360 nationalism, you believe that there's something inherent about being an Englishman or a Frenchman 0.51
00:22:33.340 or these people said, let's change the Jews into a nationality. There'll be something inherent
00:22:38.960 about being Jewish aside from the religion. According to Judaism, the way I described it 0.98
00:22:44.720 before, if you do not believe in God and you do not believe in the revelation at Mount Sinai,
00:22:48.860 you do not believe the Jewish people exist. Because without the revelation, there are no Jews. It's
00:22:54.260 the religion that made the Jews. The Jews are not the tribe. The Jews are not the people who 0.89
00:22:59.200 received the Torah. If you don't believe in that, you don't believe the Jews exist. These people
00:23:03.640 said, no, the Jews do exist outside of a revelation at Mount Sinai. In fact, we have to make us exist
00:23:11.480 in some way now, at least nowadays, because the non-Jews won't let us be secular Jews and we don't 1.00
00:23:18.400 want to be Orthodox Jews. So they decided one of the isms was Jewish nationalism. That, in short, 0.89
00:23:27.200 is Zionism. The Jews, everything I said before about Jewish identity is wrong. The Jews are a 0.87
00:23:32.720 nationality. The Jews were not created in Mount Sinai. Rather, the Jews were created when they
00:23:38.760 went into the Holy Land. In fact, the streets of Jerusalem nowadays are named mostly, most of the
00:23:45.540 streets are named after Jewish personalities, religious or non-religious throughout history.
00:23:49.760 There is no street, including biblical characters, by the way, prophets and the like,
00:23:54.320 but there is no street in all of Jerusalem, not Israel, Jerusalem, named after Moses. There is
00:23:59.840 no street named after Abraham. You hear that? Abraham and Moses, Isaac is missing, Jacob is
00:24:05.560 missing. The reason is because the streets start from Joshua, when the Jews went into the Holy 0.96
00:24:12.920 Land. Israel's Declaration of Independence starts by saying, this is where the Jewish people,
00:24:18.540 the Jewish nation was born. They looked at the Jews as not in, as one of the sets of Jews,
00:24:25.900 Christians, Muslims, Hindus, but rather Jews, Spanish people, Italian people, Russian people. 0.61
00:24:34.120 The Jews are a nationality, and they changed all of our Jewish holy concepts into national ones. 0.89
00:24:43.240 We have a holy land. That's Eretz Yisroel. It's a holy land. 0.95
00:24:47.320 They changed it into a political national homeland.
00:24:50.800 A homeland means the place the nation was born, fatherland, motherland, mother Russia.
00:24:57.560 To us, it's just a holy land. To them, it's a political homeland.
00:25:00.680 The Jews never had a flag. We had 12 tribes. Each one had a flag and a certain lifestyle and a culture. The Zionists said, no, if we're going to be a nation, we need a flag. We need a language. So they resurrected, not only resurrected, they twisted and perverted rabbinic and ancient Hebrew to make it into a national speaking language. They took words that refer to holy things and they changed it to political ones.
00:25:30.680 I sort of had an instinct that there was too much to get through here on this introductory exposition.
00:25:39.260 Rabbi Shapiro, if you'd be kind enough, can I ask you now whether you'd be able to come back on the show next week?
00:25:46.880 We need to do a special here and pick up on these things.
00:25:50.240 Because these dynamics are feeding into the political debate in Israel right now, ahead of the elections.
00:25:56.860 um and there's very little indication in the western press what this is all about it's just
00:26:04.320 zionism you're either zionist or anti-semite and that right there's a reason there's a reason
00:26:11.040 why the debate has been pushed into that pigeonhole look i mentioned the book earlier um i

00:32:07.120 Welcome back, folks.
00:32:08.380 I'll just say this before we move on to our next guest.
00:32:11.440 I was absolutely fascinated by what Rabbi Shapiro has to say.
00:32:15.300 That's just the foundation of the analysis.
00:32:18.300 There are arguments here in his thought.
00:32:20.320 As I say, he's developed his arguments over many years into a 1,400-page analysis
00:32:28.960 that has been very, very well received,
00:32:31.720 and it strikes right at the heart of the modern self-conception of the state of Israel.
00:32:38.860 We'll build on that. I'll try and get him back on the show for you again as soon as we can, so we can build forward these arguments. And I think he's one of the few people who can say this in Western media without the pro-Zionist lobby saying, look, look, look, anti-Semites here. Very, very interesting and important what he was saying.
00:33:01.220 OK, so my next guest then, David Agape, is an investigative journalist in Brazil.
00:33:07.360 We're going to start off talking. Let's bring him on. David, welcome on to the war room.
00:33:12.360 Now, last year you wrote a very important article about what you termed Brazil's answer to the January the 6th protest.
00:33:28.720 It's a very similar event there of protests, but handled very differently by the Brazilian judiciary.
00:33:40.260 The name of Alexandre de Marais will obviously be quite well known to the war room audience.
00:33:46.420 This is the guy who basically put Jair Bolsonaro in prison.
00:33:53.120 But he treated the protesters, many of them elderly.
00:33:57.980 none of whom were armed quite like a dictator some of them were sent to
00:34:06.860 prison for 17 years simply because they were walking through through
00:34:14.960 government buildings I let you explain this because after the elect after the
00:34:21.200 ad break should the right come to power one of their primary goals is to impeach this guy
00:34:30.600 um and that could have massive consequences i think for the cleaning out of brazil but i'll
00:34:37.320 let you take this in your own words recap if you wouldn't mind exactly then what happened on january
00:34:42.720 the 8th, 2023.
00:34:45.960 Okay, thank you for the invite of this show.
00:34:49.560 Thank you, Ben.
00:34:50.560 And I want to thank you, everyone in the audience.
00:34:55.000 In the last elections, Brazilians went to the polls to elect the next president.
00:35:02.080 But in all the entire time of the election, Alexandre de Moraes, the judge, was in charge of the Superior Electoral Court.
00:35:15.140 He censored the conservatives.
00:35:19.000 It was a mass censorship in Brazil in the last elections.
00:35:23.500 We saw that with our eyes.
00:35:25.800 Bolsonaro was
00:35:27.920 Stole
00:35:30.200 They stole the election
00:35:31.740 For Lula
00:35:32.580 Lula is a socialist
00:35:34.400 And Moraes and Lula are allies
00:35:38.980 They made a party after the elections
00:35:42.400 To celebrate
00:35:43.640 They defeated
00:35:46.100 They say that
00:35:47.040 We defeat Bolsonaro
00:35:49.340 And then
00:35:50.660 After the elections
00:35:52.720 many Brazilians was angry about this. They was also angry about the electronic voting machines
00:36:01.660 in Brazil. In Brazil, we vote in a black box. We can recount, you can't do investigations on that
00:36:12.220 because it's a black box. Only Brazil have elections with these voting machines. And you
00:36:21.000 can criticize this system. You can't, because they can't put you in the jail.
00:36:28.840 Tell me more about that. Tell me more about the electronic voting machines and how people
00:36:35.560 have been sent to prison for criticizing that means of election in Brazil.
00:36:41.720 Okay, there was a scientist in Brazil called Carlos Rocha.
00:36:49.160 He was one of the most important scientists in this subject in Brazil.
00:36:55.240 He had to flee the country.
00:37:00.080 Alexandre de Moraes seized a prison order against him,
00:37:04.460 accusing him of coup d'etat because of a study,
00:37:08.700 a scientific study about the voting machines.
00:37:11.720 So now in Brazil, then in Brazil, in the last elections, many Brazilians went to the streets to protest against what they called the stolen elections.
00:37:26.820 In January 8th, many Brazilians stormed the Brazilian Congress.
00:37:32.300 The problem, it was Sunday.
00:37:35.480 Nobody was there.
00:37:37.220 Lula was traveling.
00:37:38.760 Bolsonaro, Jair Bolsonaro, the former president, was here in Florida, in the U.S.
00:37:46.020 So what kind of coup d'etat they tried to do?
00:37:50.500 So they were not armed, they didn't have guns. 0.90
00:37:55.480 The majority of the Protestants was elder. 0.91
00:38:02.180 So they are arrested en masse, these people. 0.78
00:38:06.000 They sent these people to the jail.
00:38:09.660 Many of them are still in jail right now.
00:38:13.560 Right now, many of them are in jail.
00:38:16.380 And what we published, the story we published, we call it Vazatoga.
00:38:20.920 It's called, in English, it's something like Robby Leaks.
00:38:26.720 In Brazil, we love to put nicknames on everything.
00:38:29.880 So, this story we published with collaboration with Michael Schellenberger.
00:38:36.940 Yes.
00:38:38.580 Let me just ask one thing about this investigation,
00:38:42.180 which leans quite heavily on Glenn Greenwald's research
00:38:48.280 and documents that have been leaked to him.
00:38:50.620 Because on the back of what Greenwald has done,
00:38:54.780 And you yourself, you've illustrated that Alexandre de Mares was coordinating everything from his offices in the Supreme Court via a WhatsApp group that people were invited to basically denounce other Brazilians to.
00:39:13.100 We're obviously talking about senior political and state figures who were in this WhatsApp group.
00:39:19.260 But they would denounce somebody and that would be enough for that person without any trial or any due process to these informal reports.
00:39:32.520 That would be enough to keep somebody in jail.
00:39:36.080 Look, before we move on to the elections, just tell me, give me two minutes on that and what the outrage has been in Brazil on the back of those revelations.
00:39:49.260 Yeah, many people was very angry about the voting machines and the censorship.
00:39:55.040 So they went to the Congress, stormed the Congress, but no one, no one there was with guns, nothing, nothing.
00:40:04.580 But they were arrested.
00:40:06.880 Alexandre de Moraes created a secret investigation against these guys.
00:40:11.520 He used posts on social media to keep these people in jail.
00:40:17.920 The majority was elderly.
00:40:20.100 And our report showed this kind of secret groups of Alexandre de Moraes.
00:40:28.800 We continued the investigations of Glenn Greenwald that revealed that Alexandre de Moraes was targeting the majority,
00:40:39.980 was conservatives, Bolsonaro supporters.
00:40:43.400 And now we have Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of Jair Bolsonaro, in exile here in the U.S.
00:40:50.760 We have Eduardo Tagreferro, a whistleblower that denounced everything.
00:40:56.740 He is living now in Italy.
00:40:59.180 Alexandre Moraes want to put him in jail.
00:41:01.580 Many people think, well, Brazil is a democracy.
00:41:07.100 Why?
00:41:07.880 You have elections.
00:41:09.140 Well, they are looking for the dictatorships like China and others.
00:41:17.740 Well, Brazil is a juristocracy where the judges tell people what they have to do.
00:41:28.280 The judges have the power.
00:41:30.200 It's the same here in continental Europe.
00:41:34.460 All right, okay, David Agape, stand by.
00:41:38.480 I'll come back to you in two minutes.
00:41:40.040 I have to give a quick shout-out to our sponsors of the second half of the show.
00:41:44.360 Let's start off with MyPatriotSupply.
00:41:49.860 You know how it works, folks.
00:41:52.680 The power goes out, the furnace stops, roads become dangerous,

00:42:02.300 your options shrink pretty fast.
00:42:04.340 You've seen, I think, and we've all seen the world stood by watching open-mouthed France, how the shops were just looted and stripped, their shelves stripped bare. 0.99

00:44:55.440 Great, guys.
00:44:56.520 Okay, I'm back with David Agape, the investigative journalist in Brazil.
00:45:02.100 So you've indicated, then, David, the judicial dictatorship that Alexandre de Marais has imposed.
00:45:14.340 it's power a parallel state effectively in Brazil and the right one of the
00:45:21.140 promises then if Flavio Bolsonaro wins the election on Sunday one of what one
00:45:28.740 of the promises is for the Marais to be impeached tell me a little bit about
00:45:36.300 that strategy and what are its chances of success
00:45:44.340 I think you might have your microphone muted.
00:45:52.600 Okay.
00:45:54.000 In the last, after our report,
00:45:57.560 we had to leave the country.
00:45:59.960 My friend Eli is living now in the UK,
00:46:03.140 seeking asylum.
00:46:04.400 I'm living here in the US.
00:46:06.500 I have to leave the country
00:46:07.940 because Alexandre de Moraes
00:46:10.000 and his assets wanted to put me on jail.
00:46:14.340 Now we have a chance to defeat these guys, defeat on the ballots, because Flavio Bolsonaro,
00:46:22.660 the son of Jair Bolsonaro, is running for presidency.
00:46:26.260 He won the first round against Lula.
00:46:30.120 Lula tried his best to defeat Flavio.
00:46:33.580 He created many campaigns of lies.
00:46:38.840 He spread that on social media. 1.00
00:46:41.320 The many RNGs received money from George Soros and Pierre Omidia to spread lies against Flavio Bolsonaro. 0.99
00:46:54.440 They are trying their best. 0.99
00:46:56.220 But Brazilians are not dumb. 0.99
00:46:59.040 We are not dumb. 0.99
00:47:00.020 We know now their strategies.
00:47:03.180 We know all the strategies they have.
00:47:06.020 So, now we have a chance to defeat the censorship industrial complex in Brazil, and we will put Alexandre de Moraes in jail in the next year.
00:47:23.220 Has Brazil ever removed via impeachment a sitting Supreme Court justice before?
00:47:32.440 Never.
00:47:34.460 Never.
00:47:35.140 And we have many proceedings waiting to be put on the table.
00:47:43.200 But the president of the Senate always keeps this on their desk.
00:47:51.840 But now we have a chance because, first, we won the Congress this year.
00:47:58.360 In the next year, we have the majority on the Congress.
00:48:02.720 So we have enough votes, first, to elect the next president of the Senate, and then to vote the impeachment of Alexandre de Moraes.
00:48:14.740 He tried to do some kind of agreement with the right, but this time, we don't want nothing but he on the jail.
00:48:26.500 First the impeachment, then the jail.
00:48:30.160 And we have great chances to do that.
00:48:34.300 But now Lula and his assets and his crew is trying to frame Flávio Bolsonaro and the American government in some kind of collusion.
00:48:47.920 They are accusing Meta and the American government to try to interfere on Brazil's elections.
00:48:56.500 All this with American money, because they're receiving money from George Soros.
00:49:03.480 So let me get this right, then. You have the arithmetic already in Congress.
00:49:08.000 You need, of course, the head of state, however, to force through the impeachment of a sitting Supreme Court justice.
00:49:18.340 And the first step will be to appoint, with the arithmetic you have in Congress, the president of the Senate.
00:49:24.860 and then you're telling me you have the numbers as it is to move forward with the impeachment.
00:49:30.580 You just need basically the president of Brazil, the head of state, to be on side.
00:49:37.120 And the plan is this. This is the guy, Alexandre de Marais, this is the guy who put Bolsonaro in prison.
00:49:45.760 The plan is this. Impeach, remove and imprison this guy. That's the plan.
00:49:54.860 That's the plan, in this order.
00:49:57.540 Not only Moraes, because, well, Moraes did not all that alone.

00:50:23.600 We have many institutions, other Supreme Court justices.
00:50:29.540 We will put a warning against them.
00:50:32.980 Well, Moraes had the Magnitsky sanctions of the U.S. government against him because of the human rights violations.
00:50:44.200 They have agents on the federal police doing some kind of dirt investigations on Bolsonaro supporters.
00:50:55.340 Well, well, we know everything now. We know what they did. So everyone will be responsible of what they did in the last years.
00:51:08.480 All the persecution, we will have the Congress, we will have the government, the presidency, and then Flavio Bolsonaro will choose four new justices for the Supreme Court.
00:51:25.780 Now we can fix our country and defeat the censorship industrial complex.
