Bannon's War Room - WarRoom Battleground EP 350： Massive Turnout In New Hampshire; The DeElectrification Of The US

00:00:00.000 this is what you're fighting for i mean every day you're out there what they're doing is blowing

00:00:15.760 people off if you continue to look the other way and shut up then the oppressors the

00:00:22.720 authoritarians get total control and total power because this is just like in arizona this is just

00:00:28.640 like in georgia it's another element that backs them into a quarter and shows their lies and

00:00:33.360 misrepresentations is why this audience is going to have to get engaged as we've told you this is

00:00:37.680 the fight all this nonsense all this spin they can't handle the truth war room battleground here's

00:00:44.720 your host stephen k bannon what and for what to lose again i know to lose again i know they're

00:00:51.680 looking at polls and they know he loses he loses every single year and he has since 2017 so they're

00:01:00.560 willing to throw out the rule of law they're willing to just ignore all of this to nominate a guy who's

00:01:09.920 going to lose again well and they're also willing just to throw out common decency if you look at how

00:01:14.960 what trump has completely admitted to doing and what he considers normal yeah and the way he has behaved

00:01:20.720 toward people especially women uh hush money payments to a porn star for an affair telling the

00:01:27.520 attorney of eugene carroll who a judge says he raped and he was mocking her liable and mocking her in the

00:01:35.600 next debate abuse mocks her in the debate defames her again he's being sued again tells her attorney

00:01:43.680 you're not my type can't even identify her and one of his wives i'm just saying common decency is this 1.00

00:01:52.160 who you want forget all this criminal stuff that's going on if you can't get your head around it if you

00:01:57.680 really really think if you really think it's a witch hunt you really deep inside think that that's that's

00:02:04.880 you that you have to work with and look in the mirror that's your choice but do you want this person

00:02:10.000 running our country making choices representing us that's a deeply disturbing thing is they have

00:02:17.360 actually convinced themselves that it's a witch hunt they have a guy who stole nuclear secrets they

00:02:21.920 have a guy that stole you know all of these other things and again well why didn't hillary clinton 1.00

00:02:26.880 why wasn't hillary clinton ever arrested it was donald trump's justice department i know facts don't

00:02:31.680 matter to so many but it was donald trump's justice department in 2017 that told donald trump there's

00:02:36.720 nothing there there's no crime 2018 the same thing there's nothing there there's no crime trump kept

00:02:42.080 going back to them they just donald trump's justice department of the people he appointed jeff sessions

00:02:51.200 the people he appointed there's no crime there so when donald trump steals nuclear secrets you can't go

00:03:00.000 yeah but hillary clinton no you can't when donald trump steals uh secret war plans to invade iran

00:03:09.280 you can't go oh but hunter biden no no you can't do that but that's what they're doing and they know

00:03:15.360 it's a lie they really do they know it's a lie they know the game they're playing right and and and yet

00:03:24.000 they they always seeing themselves in the party they always say oh well even even in these op-eds

00:03:31.600 and editorials where they actually take on trump they go oh yeah but the democrats oh yeah but hillary

00:03:37.440 clinton oh yeah but hunter biden they can ever just say it's wrong that he stole nuclear secrets and no

00:03:43.920 president our former president has ever done that in american history it's wrong that he tried to overthrow

00:03:49.200 a presidential election and no president no you can't take it yeah but i could take it all the way

00:03:56.400 i thought i could take thank you memphis i thought i could take it all the way to the end but i couldn't

00:04:02.960 you know i was going to play this one this morning but we're so jammed for time but i did tell my

00:04:08.160 producers this was a gem they're just in full meltdown and you're gonna you're gonna hear this

00:04:14.640 think about it for a second think about purgatory you're gonna hear this in perpetuity because we're

00:04:20.960 going to win in 2024 it's only going to get worse then so i just want to you know i'm trying to i

00:04:26.400 don't know so not social i'm trying to harden you by by making you listen to morning mika

00:04:32.240 unbelievable no it is a witch hunt because he didn't break any laws he didn't do anything wrong

00:04:40.560 all he did was stand up to the oligarchs and stand up to the vested interests that are running

00:04:47.120 and destroying this country used used to just be the managed decline of this nation

00:04:51.280 now it's in a free fall and that's why you're after him because he represents the american people

00:04:57.040 uh richard barris so on a day of a lot of activity uh particularly in the dexantis campaign

00:05:06.240 they fire the uh and and i've got a huge problem with focusing on these primaries but

00:05:14.560 i think we got to do it and get it out of the way because we got to be focused on the general election

00:05:18.960 but i'd like you to walk through just a summary of these polls coming out but de santos

00:05:22.960 has done the reset then he did the reboot then he did the retread you know maybe he's getting ready

00:05:27.760 for the retreat but he fires the campaign manager today there's turmoil in there

00:05:32.400 um it's i mean you can tell it's just not happening right it's not it's not he's not

00:05:39.520 getting traction and when he came out and said oh yeah trump definitely lost and biden's a legitimate

00:05:44.480 president well i think that'll take him down to single digits your thoughts and assessment right

00:05:50.240 now of where we stand let's talk about the primary before we go to the general where do you think we

00:05:53.920 stand but you know before and thanks for having me as always steve but uh listen when genera pack

00:05:59.680 uh and was talking to media about the shake-up three three weeks ago this third shake-up in the

00:06:05.360 desantis campaign everyone was told her job was secure so they're trying to portray this now as

00:06:11.200 just an extension of the third shake-up and the truth is this is yet another shake-up but you know

00:06:17.120 removing replacing your campaign manager is a shake-up all on its own it's it's it's not abnormal but to

00:06:22.800 pretend like this isn't a major move is it's just getting ridiculous now steve and you know the the

00:06:28.160 the comment you just made is is a big deal you cannot win a republican primary if 80 plus percent

00:06:34.960 of the republican electorate thinks 2020 was uh robbed from donald trump you can't make arguments

00:06:40.080 about elect electability if major majorities of the republican electorate believes that donald trump

00:06:46.880 not only won once but twice so i you know i don't know who told him to make these comments but

00:06:52.560 at the end of the day i said it almost a month ago when i saw those financials

00:06:56.800 this campaign is on life support this is uh it's just getting ridiculous at this point arizona

00:07:03.840 that came out this morning who told them it was a great idea to uh to attack kerry lake the most

00:07:10.400 popular republican politician in the state behind only second only to donald trump and they got mad at

00:07:17.040 people who even criticized them for doing that now look at you now look where you are 50 points behind

00:07:22.480 in the grand canyon state that look steve historically nobody's ever come back from

00:07:28.480 a deficit this big donald trump's primary lead is massive particular okay a couple things i want to

00:07:35.680 go to uh do we have the ducy thing on the couch do we have that booted up in memphis producers do we

00:07:42.480 have that steve ducy thing from this morning on fox and friends booted up in memphis terrific um

00:07:48.480 i think my standing order is everything on the morning show should be in memphis but hey

00:07:52.960 one day we'll listen um steve ducy to uh steve ducy this morning we're doing some on the air producing

00:08:00.400 it's it's it's steve ducy steve ducy is um steve ducy is on the couch this morning and he's hopping up

00:08:09.520 and down again he's hopping up and down again and he's promoting glenn youngkin right he's got the glenn

00:08:14.720 youngkin thing and he's new horse he's got the billionaire that says he's a new horse is this

00:08:20.080 now murdoch signaling strongly that they know the airs out of the the balloon on on desantis and

00:08:25.920 they're going to pivot fox who's been so all over desantis and pushing him so hard they actually made

00:08:32.000 him relevant have they come to the conclusion that it's over when they see these numbers that come out

00:08:36.160 of me 50 points down arizona he's you know nationwide i think he's down he's up uh trump's up by 43

00:08:43.040 nationwide yeah uh do do you believe that do you believe fox has made the decision that it's

00:08:48.480 it's over for desantis yeah i honestly think murdoch murdoch's checked out a month ago uh peter fly's

00:08:55.760 out ken griffin's out big low is uh saying you know you you have like eight days to change something

00:09:02.640 or else i'm out uh you know but these people spent a lot of of money and they would rather than admit

00:09:09.440 most of them rather than admit that this is just not going to happen they're going to try to find

00:09:14.640 somebody else glenn youngkin did tell them from what i understand a couple weeks ago you know thank

00:09:19.600 you but no thank you call me when he's either you know arrested for real and put behind bars and he 0.98

00:09:25.360 can no longer campaign or when he craters in the polls so he wasn't in his i'm not as stupid as the 0.95

00:09:32.160 last three people you tried to get to do this you know glenn youngkin is wise to just kind of sit back 0.54

00:09:37.200 and you can only serve one term as a governor in virginia anyway so serve it out do your thing

00:09:42.240 you're popular in that state uh but you could see how they were pushing the poll from last week

00:09:46.960 that came out and showed that youngkin actually had a lead over biden let me just say this really

00:09:51.520 quick really clearly steve really clearly nobody's winning the state of virginia in the general

00:09:56.800 election i don't care if glenn youngkin is the republican nominee it is possible if everything just

00:10:02.880 collapses on democrats but it the idea that you would abandon the only guy who can win the russ belt

00:10:10.240 which is a lot more electoral votes the last time i checked then than virginia hang on hang on hang on 0.97

00:10:15.920 hang on it's it's deep but it's it's deeper it's deeper than that and this is the clown you know

00:10:20.400 billionaire they had on the fox this morning the um the the youngkin is a product and a sole product of

00:10:28.320 100 maga turnout i was there with john fredericks and we didn't need to talk to youngkins campaign

00:10:33.360 we didn't want to talk to you i'm not a youngkin guy i think he's a uh he's a globalist uh private

00:10:38.800 equity guy that was in business with china uh with uh with uh rubin stein one of the worst guys in

00:10:44.800 america uh he would that was his mentor carlyle group's one of the most corrupt private equity it is

00:10:50.720 the swamp because it's the private equity firm that's writing the thing youngkin only exists because

00:10:55.600 maga turned out 100 maga is not going to maga is not going to turn out is not going to turn out

00:11:00.640 for glenn youngkin only trump can make that happen so it's it's and youngkin's smart enough to know

00:11:07.440 being a private equity guy he's smart enough to know that um that he's not going to take trump on

00:11:12.960 because trump's vote is not going to be there for him unlike the sand so unlike the sand did that all by

00:11:20.960 himself that's the laughable thing here de santis thought he did this all by himself and we had to

00:11:26.800 read for months ridiculous comments about well he's always the underdog and we're we're used to

00:11:31.760 being the underdog and we we've made these comebacks before you didn't do anything donald trump did it

00:11:38.480 you would have been a failed gubernatorial candidate without him and you would have handed the uh the

00:11:44.160 gubernator you would have handed the governor's mansion in florida to a down low crackhead that's what

00:11:49.120 you would have done you didn't do this on your own nose and in 2022 the big one in 2022 all of

00:11:56.560 maga turned out because they said hey de santis is perfectly teed up we want to you know we want to

00:12:02.160 make sure florida's red he's going to do a great job and he's going to be potentially trump's successor

00:12:06.800 in 2028 they didn't know if you'd said beforehand oh by the way a couple of months it literally is

00:12:12.640 going to start campaigning right away but a couple of months after he's going to announce against trump

00:12:16.080 no maggot would have turned out in florida they said what are you talking about are you kidding

00:12:20.000 me you're you're trump trump created you you're you're a trump guy so so let's forget okay hang 0.59

00:12:27.920 over a second let me um let me play we now have booted up the ever crack production team has now crack

00:12:33.920 has now booted up to give me stink eye you should know is this saying he didn't tell us i'm sure i'm

00:12:41.120 not sure they're good kids they're good young men they're fine young men um let's go ahead and play

00:12:46.720 this is from this morning i here's what the reason is important this is all information warfare i want

00:12:51.840 to show you what the murdochs are doing they understand the first guy they built up is collapsing 0.97

00:12:57.040 so they very quickly want to get another one in the slot and i think they've kind of weighed and

00:13:01.200 measured tim scott they realize tim scott's a nice guy he's a decent man but it's a little too happy

00:13:05.920 clappy clappy for uh the situation the country fine so they're they're going to jump tim scott is

00:13:10.800 right there and tim scott wants to be the next guy in the in the breach but i think the murdochs

00:13:15.760 are sending through steve doocy who is hardwired up told me and murdoch sitting on the couch uh

00:13:21.840 let's go ahead and play this billion bucks to a guy who is not even in yet how are you going to get

00:13:28.800 him to run well he's he's running i mean he's fighting in virginia too for these elections are

00:13:38.320 coming up on the 7th of november and that is what the money is for to help him uh turn that state

00:13:45.280 republican don't forget that was a blue state that maybe will be turning completely republican

00:13:53.280 center red in in a matter of three years yeah so that would be a great accomplishment for it tom

00:14:00.400 thomas i read a report in axios a couple of weeks ago that said that a number of big donors

00:14:06.240 who are disappointed that ron desantis has not taken off and really challenged the former president

00:14:12.080 donald trump a lot of big donors are talking to mr yunkin about getting it you obviously would like

00:14:17.840 to see him run but right now we've got eight people who have qualified for the debates how

00:14:23.520 does glenn young can get on the stage quick if he's not even being considered at this point

00:14:30.080 well he's not going to be on the stage he's he's at this time completely focused on the virginia

00:14:36.480 elections coming on the 7th of november but i believe that if there is uh lots of people calling

00:14:44.640 for him to enter the race after those elections then he may very well do so so after the virginia

00:14:53.040 elections and then do you believe that he could beat donald trump oh definitely he could be done

00:14:59.760 for somebody he could beat anybody he's an incredible person he his experience as ceo of one of the largest

00:15:08.160 equity groups and he's nearly three years uh as governor in virginia demonstrate his exceptional

00:15:15.600 capabilities uh in running as a leader of a large organization that you know there's nobody else

00:15:22.880 like them he's a really good person well and uh i saw a recent poll that showed in virginia if it were

00:15:31.200 glenn youngkin versus joe biden glenn youngkin would actually beat joe biden who won the state

00:15:37.680 a couple of years ago thomas thank you very much for joining us live today

00:15:44.160 no seriously no seriously hold it stop did they call central casting and say send another uh bond

00:15:51.520 villain send a bond villain note to murdoch's don't put the bond villain on the thing hold

00:15:59.280 it is it george source's drinking buddy then we got another hungarian look seriously you got

00:16:05.120 kissinger source throwing claus schwab let's doing this guy what pretty man tom another hungarian 0.56

00:16:11.600 you know what is this dude you are so clueless he's oh he's run a great private equity group we 0.97

00:16:16.720 will shred you brother on your private equity group okay shred the only reason to shred you in the 0.96

00:16:23.280 governor's race is that for trump and maga we put our shoulder to the wheel so don't sit here he will

00:16:30.240 beat trump he will beat anybody they call central casting ask a bond villain to show up to make the

00:16:35.040 pitch this is how desperate fox is this is the desperation of goofy steve doocy goofy steve doocy 0.93

00:16:43.120 and roman murdoch think the bond villain is going to sell the american people how'd that play richard

00:16:48.080 barris how'd that play it played it played terrible but they don't you know what always amazes me steve and

00:16:53.040 i know you know this is true some of these rich guys these like you know these big donors they are

00:16:59.200 really smart in their areas and in their fields and some of them you know have inherited it they

00:17:05.200 they didn't earn it on their own but they know how to navigate that world but when it comes to politics 1.00

00:17:09.840 they're incredibly stupid they are very dumb they have no connection to the electorate they don't 1.00

00:17:16.880 understand the political landscape even though you even in equity markets you have to know 1.00

00:17:21.520 you know the political developments in a country in the united states these guys are totally clueless

00:17:28.240 glenn young can only one virginia because the share of the mountain vote which is pure maga went from

00:17:34.240 16 to 19 percent it was a disproportionate turnout because maga came out when some other uh biden voters

00:17:42.080 did not even in more liberal areas like the suburbs of chesterfield it was disproportionately maga and

00:17:48.480 working class more so than in a presidential election and it earned him a two-point win so to

00:17:54.480 pretend as if uh you know that that look if you would have won by like 20 like bob mcdonald and carried

00:18:00.960 fairfax uh maybe that would i would have been a little bit more impressed but gubernatorial elections have

00:18:06.880 no predictive value when it comes to how you're going to perform at the presidential level and they 1.00

00:18:11.200 they they it's so stupid it never ceases to amaze me how dumb they are that's right he doesn't 1.00

00:18:16.240 understand anything they're they're they make he he's a interactive brokers he's a stock brokerage 1.00

00:18:20.960 guy i think took the business back to hungary no but just the optics of it of putting and that's

00:18:26.080 the arrogance of him want to do it just putting the george sources you know to no separated at birth

00:18:31.680 from george soros it's insane please please goofy doocy please put him up every day i want him up 0.99

00:18:38.880 every day as a couple other candidates i'd like you to pitch too um it's ridiculous it's a maggot and 0.98

00:18:44.800 young can smart enough to understand that he's not he doesn't want any part of this he's smart

00:18:48.800 yeah he's smart enough to do by the way john fredericks delivered that victory and john fredericks

00:18:53.200 maga has to turn out big league in november in virginia for these wins and if mega gets any sense

00:19:00.160 he's going to use those wins to springboard against trump note to him they're not going to turn out

00:19:07.600 they're not going to turn out to flip because the house and center virginia don't get me wrong i'm a

00:19:11.600 virginian are very important to to flip but they're if the thing is oh yeah we're going to use that just

00:19:16.720 like uh just like de santis used maga and immediately going to flip and run against trump then maggie's 0.99

00:19:21.840 going to say hey i'll take a pass here the house and center very important but i'll take a pass

00:19:26.080 i'm not setting up another guy to come after trump i've seen enough of the murdochs 1.00

00:19:30.000 nonsense here um and and by the way jeff roe is his guy i mean it's the same guy he is he sucked 0.94

00:19:35.760 all the money he sucked all the money he can out of poor de santos and casey and now remember he's 0.97

00:19:42.400 got this whole scam with what the the pack or something they've contributed the money but

00:19:46.640 it may not be just for de santos it may be waiting there for young kid i mean jeff rose

00:19:51.120 he's moving chess pieces all over he wants to pay this he's looking yeah he got paid on this

00:19:57.200 one steve look at the financials and a lot of that money that was they're basically using the pack as

00:20:03.360 a vendor for campaigns and so i mean honestly you can abandon de santos at any time that he wants and

00:20:10.480 take that money with him so de santos is being bled dry i think everybody knows what time it is we we

00:20:16.720 spoke to a donor the other day i put it up on twitter for everybody to see at this point and

00:20:20.960 they've given de santos a lot of money at this point they're just patently mad at them because

00:20:26.240 nothing they pitched to them has turned out and it didn't come to fruition wait till he's indicted by

00:20:31.840 this one wait till he's indicted by that one and the phone call i got the other day was basically

00:20:36.160 asking me whether or not that can this guy went from jail you know nothing they told me is coming

00:20:42.320 true and uh you know there's a getting to be yeah i mean i at the at this point where the de santos

00:20:49.440 campaign is is you know you have people like jeff roe they're just going to try to squeeze much blood

00:20:54.080 out of that stone as they possibly can and they gaslit everybody de santos himself is apparently now

00:21:00.240 not listening to anybody he's deeply paranoid and he's tightening the uh you know he's tightening

00:21:05.280 the circle it's him his wife and now he's bringing he brought on his chief of staff because

00:21:10.240 um you know this is somebody and get this steve he said i like how he's always on the offense they're

00:21:16.080 always on the offense all they've been is on the offense including making an enemy out of a majority

00:21:22.080 of the republican electorate and that's why you're in the position you're in there's not a happy warrior

00:21:27.040 in that camp it hasn't been the entire primary season right so you have to be a happy warrior

00:21:32.560 jumps under indictment after indictment after indictment he gets out of the car uh you know on his way

00:21:37.520 to an event gets out with a big smile on his face and has nothing to you know to give people but

00:21:42.160 but uh but but happy future talk right not them they are just angry and and it's not you know it

00:21:50.320 never was attractive to begin with he's not a great retail politician but if you're not a happy warrior

00:21:55.680 you don't win people over this thing is a it's a wrap steve i mean vivek just surpassed him and

00:22:01.120 predicted this thing's over come on let's get real so bad uh let's go to i want to go to the general

00:22:07.200 because that's where we should be focused um yeah right now with them particularly the economic

00:22:11.760 news this is why china was such a big deal uh missing the numbers china's in deep financial

00:22:17.280 problems deep economic problems one of the reasons just drop a demand from the united states of course

00:22:22.640 we had the moody's downgrade you got the market situation walk now walk me through the mat the trump

00:22:28.720 uh biden matchup and where trump should be putting his uh his uh time and energy on this

00:22:35.440 that new york times poll from last week i have to mention because it's no longer just rich barris at

00:22:40.720 big data poll it's no longer mark penn at harvard harris it's no more spencer kimball at emerson

00:22:46.160 this is the new york times they love this poll every the media loves this poll the establishment

00:22:51.600 loves this poll and they came out it's a nine point swing from their final poll in trump's favor and

00:22:57.680 honestly steve if you look at the demographics in the crosstab it could be a big data poll they found

00:23:02.480 exactly what we found which is the underclass and you were just talking about economics i really think

00:23:07.920 this is a big part of this and then i also think the some some of the indictment stuff is actually

00:23:12.320 helping him with non-white people in the new york times poll final one in 2020 had four percent

00:23:17.680 black support which i thought was ridiculous now he has 12 so there are just these groups going into

00:23:23.920 the general even though it's still a long way away there are these groups when you compare what we

00:23:29.200 found in 2020 the new york times everybody everyone there is a massive shift to donald trump even

00:23:35.920 though these indictments have come down this last one from jack smith over january 6th was their you

00:23:42.000 know pun intended trump card and it's not hurting at least it isn't yet and i don't know when is it

00:25:47.760 down that stretch of road in maine they call the haynesville woods

00:26:00.720 when you're talking to a trucker that's been hauling goods down that stretch of road

00:26:12.160 in maine they call the haynesville woods he'll tell you that dying and going down below won't be half as

00:26:20.400 bad as driving on that road of ice and snow it's a stretch of road up north in maine

00:26:29.120 that's never ever ever seen a smile if they buried all the truckers lost in them woods there'd be a tombstone

00:26:39.200 every mile count them all there'd be a tombstone every mile

00:31:18.800 war room battleground with stephen k bannon

00:31:28.080 so uh brother barris before i let you go your recommendations to president trump in the trump

00:31:32.400 camp about this the trap that murdoch set for them at this debate should he participate or should he do

00:31:38.400 something else that night you know do do something else uh i i am actually a proponent of debating because

00:31:46.000 people we ask people steve do you want to see it and they do want to see it and i remember in 2016

00:31:52.160 there was at least some polling that indicated hurt him in iowa a little bit i get you don't

00:31:56.400 want to go to the murdoch trap and the hell with fox news you know you don't need to add to their 0.72

00:32:00.640 advertising revenue but you could call steve bannon you could call charlie kirk you could call uh

00:32:07.280 anybody uh literally tucker carlson go do an event with tucker carlson santa's gonna yeah are they

00:32:12.880 gonna turn that down just say i don't want to be part of fox because the majority of republicans

00:32:17.440 will totally understand that but don't not go they want steve they want to see trump do what he does

00:32:23.840 on that stage and it'll be upsetting if they don't get a chance to to watch it it's entertaining for

00:32:29.200 those of us who have been at this a long time you can't you can't take this away from donald trump

00:32:33.360 so your recommendation i want to make sure you're not confused your your rep your recommendation is

00:32:37.280 don't give them action don't go to the debate is that what you're saying don't go to the fox debate but

00:32:41.920 it but do something parallel something else you have to you have to do something else yeah yeah

00:32:48.160 got it otherwise you have to go to the debate yeah your your polling's been pretty amazing when

00:32:53.600 the new york times and washington post are following you where people go to get your uh

00:32:58.480 information yeah they're copying and pasting steve uh best place to go is peoplespundent.locals.com

00:33:06.400 uh you know and they can learn all about the polling and the public polling project over there

00:33:10.400 peoplespundent.locals.com perfect perfect brother thank you for doing this all the best

00:33:16.320 i've got a cold open ben thank you brother ben harnwell's here but i want to go back we're on

00:33:20.960 plate raheem back in may and then uh some cnn i'm gonna jump in and bring in uh ben harnwell

00:33:28.000 they've known for days and days now that this place is going to fall the russian government's going to

00:33:31.200 call it in a matter of moments right but the interesting thing is they keep talking about spring

00:33:36.240 offensive bring offensive spring offensive there's no spring offensive let me tell you something there

00:33:40.560 is no it's it's and and here's the tell on that one the biden government the biden regime has gone

00:33:47.360 back and said that they are devaluing the weapons that were sent over there in the first place so that

00:33:53.680 they can do some uh financial jiggery pokery and and give more without giving more that's how you know

00:34:00.080 that they are not they're not ready for a spring offensive in our world lead ukrainian officials

00:34:06.160 say russian missiles hit residential buildings in both the donetsk and kharkiv regions killing a total

00:34:11.520 of at least seven people and injuring more than 35 others it's the latest attack from russia after

00:34:16.720 ukraine blew up parts of a critical road that linked occupied crimea with parts of the kherson region

00:34:22.160 over the weekend all this escalated violence as ukrainians say that they've stopped an assassination plot

00:34:28.160 against president volodymyr zelensky tina's nick payton walsh is in zaporizhia for us uh nick the

00:34:33.440 ukrainians say they caught an alleged russian informant what more do we know about this woman and the

00:34:39.680 plot to kill zelensky we don't quite know how far this plot progressed and it's important to bear in

00:34:48.560 mind the volodymyr zelensky is certainly a hunted man by moscow he often goes to the front line to corral

00:34:54.640 troops and so this plot standing out frankly because of the ukrainian security services

00:34:59.600 uh bid to essentially publicize some of its details what do we know we don't know the nationality of

00:35:04.880 this informant we do know that she is a woman who lived in ocharkiv that's a peninsula off the coast

00:35:10.720 close to crimea and that she worked in a military surplus store allegedly this plot was about uh the

00:35:17.840 recent visit of zelensky to michelev a port city on the southern uh coast and she was apparently

00:35:25.360 requested in messages that the sbu the ukrainian security services put out uh allegedly with her

00:35:31.360 russian interlocutors asked about times dates to perhaps take pictures of the location now i should

00:35:37.120 also point out that the russian sorry the ukrainians have arrested about 29 or so informants in the last

00:35:43.520 few months or so so this is something that does occur relatively regularly but there was clearly

00:35:47.760 something about this plot that made them feel they needed to publicize it but again a reminder

00:35:52.000 of how zelensky is someone persistently go ahead and stop it okay and just hold for the rest because

00:35:57.920 i'm gonna call for the rest i want to go right there a ben so uh raheem making one of the early calls as

00:36:02.480 you did months ago about the spring offensive i'm getting maybe the cnn clip where they go into more

00:36:07.600 detail but let's let's go with the zelensky assassination plot uh why is it put out now

00:36:14.080 is it to garner sympathy empathy why is it put out now they've clearly had other ones before

00:36:19.840 they're putting this out that they're blaming this on russia do you think american security

00:36:24.880 services may be involved

00:36:30.400 this could be i don't know what expression to use this could be part of the the cia's

00:36:35.840 early retirement program and extended towards president zelensky who chose not to um not to

00:36:42.800 accept the invitation this time around if i could use that specific euphemism so there are there are

00:36:47.920 two possibilities that would fall in under the track of this not being what it appears and the first one

00:36:54.560 is that this is just the cia and that's you know steve it might not be there's every possibility that

00:36:59.920 it's not the cia but we have been talking on this show now for six months about the the

00:37:05.440 possibility that there might be a rerun of the cia's ditching um of president diem in the vietnam war

00:37:14.320 and this would certainly fill in with that profile that's the first uh in the in the two track not

00:37:21.680 everything as it seems that would be the first possibility the second possibility and we we touched

00:37:26.880 on this only slightly in the morning show today is that this is from within ukraine because um

00:37:33.920 president zelensky has cancelled the parliamentary elections in autumn and the presidential elections

00:37:39.920 for the following spring if he were the the beloved second incarnation the second coming of winston

00:37:45.600 churchill as the western media are repeatedly informing us um then he'd have he'd have nothing to hear

00:37:53.440 fear from from from the elections in fact why do the very thing that would prohibit ukraine from joining the

00:38:00.320 european union because you can't join the european union if you are if you're not a democracy why do

00:38:05.200 the very thing unnecessarily um that would would cross off the box of one of his chief foreign policy

00:38:13.840 goals of his presidency obviously the eu membership and nato membership obviously in nato you don't have

00:38:20.160 to be a democracy to to join nato um but you do to join the eu why do that well perhaps things aren't so

00:38:26.240 good at home and then this as i say we don't know um we don't know what the nationality of this woman is 0.99

00:38:33.120 um so this could be an internal ukrainian um manifestation of dissatisfaction um and then of course the third

00:38:42.320 possibility uh would be and this would be in the other track of everything being exactly what it seems

00:38:48.720 and this is would this is a this is simply a russian for an additional russian attempt to remove zelensky

00:38:54.720 however steve that you know if you've seen the photos of this woman standing in the middle of of two um

00:39:03.680 security officials all their faces are pixelated at her posture and you know just just google this as i'm 0.59

00:39:10.480 talking uh war impossible her posture um is not someone of of um of an assassin who's been arrested

00:39:18.960 by um the the sbu um and feeling for her life she's just casually just her fingers not handcuffed uh casually

00:39:28.400 oh and i'm resting on the desk it's not someone who has the bodily comportment of of fearing for the life the other thing that struck me as unusual

00:39:38.480 is that if she's guilty of what she's been accused of doing the sentence um uh would would be 12 years 0.93

00:39:46.000 now that's very strange in a country like ukraine right back at the beginning well steve you'll remember

00:39:50.560 zelensky had made an admission that they were actually shooting deserters um so if this woman

00:39:55.680 were actually involved in an assassination job against um president zelensky it would be unusual i would

00:40:03.120 suspect that all she'd be looking at is going to prison for 12 years and nothing more in in the lines

00:40:09.680 what would be typically handed out um in any in any country right including in the west um but this kind

00:40:16.320 of treason um but you know i i invite war room the war impossible to get out there and and do their

00:40:23.360 research and form their own let me let me hang on let me why why would everything that zelensky is

00:40:31.120 touching right now is not working he's one as welcome in the west the brits have had enough of

00:40:37.360 it a lot of the countries in europe have had enough because he hasn't been he's been an ingrate he's

00:40:42.160 been demanding of this they don't want to do anymore you already know that they're saying they're tapped

00:40:46.960 out militarily they really can't given their own budgets they can't give a lot more money here

00:40:52.240 they haven't been impressed with his whole thing i've got to take back all this territory i've got

00:40:56.240 to take back crimea that's the that's the minimum conditions obviously you've pointed out with these

00:41:02.000 articles that there's uh discontent in the biden regime they've already leaked on him that they've

00:41:08.400 you know at the national security council and even at biden has had a lot of frustration with this guy

00:41:13.360 why would putin why would putin take this guy out now right this this guy's on the downward slope

00:41:19.040 because he's over promoted and and i think the most important thing is the battlefield commanders

00:41:25.760 are the ones who've kind of stopped this this spring offensive that just started has basically

00:41:30.720 stopped because the battlefield commanders are saying we don't have the manpower to keep doing

00:41:37.040 this the combined arms operation of which we don't have time now i don't think to play the cnn clip

00:41:42.960 um they're blaming on the lack of close air support so they're going to be it's huge we gotta send jets

00:41:47.680 we gotta send jets we gotta send jets we gotta give them air superiority the troops are not trained

00:41:53.280 in combined arms which is quite complex you know artillery armor infantry mounted infantry close air

00:42:00.800 support but all of it's got to come together logistics it's very complicated you know only really

00:42:06.560 the americans the european armies can't really fight combined arms not really they don't do the

00:42:11.840 exercises in nato that you have to over and over and over again to do accordingly they can do it

00:42:16.960 somewhat but that these are standing armies of uh of some of the major industrial powers on earth

00:42:22.960 that's not this thing is slapped together in ukraine so why what incentive would putin have right now

00:42:28.320 when it seems to be you know although they say putin's you know going away putin's gone next week

00:42:33.280 it seems like particularly with this the failure of the spring offensive

00:42:37.280 that why would he take zelinski out now zelinski's a problem for the west he's not a problem for putin is he

00:42:42.720 no steve and that is a very pertinent question putin's strategy we touched on this yesterday

00:42:49.680 um in the afternoon show it's true putin's strategy is is simply attrition now he's going to hold

00:42:55.760 he's going to hold a level status going forward in time because he knows that ukraine can't match a

00:43:01.120 level the west can't support a level status ukraine's sort of doing this ukraine is sort of

00:43:05.840 petering off down so if all putin does is keep keep the current engagement um level sort of level and

00:43:14.960 and straight he's going to win you see he all putin needs to do is to buy himself time there would be no

00:43:21.520 logical reason that i could think of that he would make this maneuver now to to take out zelinski there

00:43:29.680 is tor but that's what he tried to do within the first 24 hours that they sent in the the russian

00:43:34.800 paratroopers and they tried um to get into the presidential palace and then zelinski armed everybody

00:43:41.600 with black jackets and and and ak-47s and what have you um and and loaded up by barricaded the doors

00:43:50.480 with plywood and and furniture you know in the first days when the presidential guard needed to secure

00:43:57.280 the presidential palace that was when apparently um putin had tried to to decapitate zelinski straight

00:44:05.120 off right at the beginning um and didn't succeed i i'm not saying i believe that i'm saying but that is

00:44:09.920 that that is the standard military interpretation of of what happened there isn't however and that would

00:44:15.360 make certain logic for putin to have done that there is however no logic for precisely the reasons that

00:44:21.280 you've just been outlining that putin would do this now because it would generate a lot of

00:44:26.160 sympathy in the west when the west is actually moving in the opposite direction if i may steve if

00:44:31.040 i may if i may ask memphis to call on the third article that they have in my list i'm gonna go

00:44:36.800 straight to this now which is the cnn article this came out today steve yesterday on the the afternoon

00:44:43.280 show we talked about very interesting that cnn had commissioned this poll which had showed uh 55

00:44:51.040 percent of the american public now are no longer uh supportive of congress authorizing further a

00:44:59.600 in support of the ukraine war compared to 45 that supports it cnn has brought out another article

00:45:06.320 today on the back of that um and here's the headline and i'm just going to read the the key

00:45:12.640 paragraph which is right at the beginning they haven't buried leave this time this is right up in the

00:45:16.240 opening nights here's the the headline western allies receive increasingly sobering updates on

00:45:23.600 ukraine's counter-offensive this is the most difficult time of the war that's in quote marks and here

00:45:30.560 are the opening lines now you tell me steve if this isn't what we've been sort of analyzing on the

00:45:36.160 war room for the last six months weeks into ukraine's highly anticipated counter-offensive western officials

00:45:43.920 describe increasingly sobering assessments about ukrainian forces ability to retake significant

00:45:51.440 territory four senior u.s and western officials briefed on the latest intelligence told cnn i quote

00:45:59.600 or this is a quote of the analyst one of the analysts they're still going to see for the next

00:46:04.160 couple of weeks if there is a chance of making some progress but for them to really make progress

00:46:10.400 that would change the balance of this conflict i think it's extremely highly unlikely senior western

00:46:18.320 diplomat told cnn uh now see this is the sort of thing that we have been intuiting in the background

00:46:25.440 um without the mainstream media reporting on the facts for the past six months the news therefore

00:46:33.440 because most of the the war room possibly will be aware that this is really the reality the the news

00:46:38.960 isn't what i've just read out it's the new the news that cnn is running with this as it's opening two

00:46:45.280 paragraphs in its article today with that kind of headline what this illustrates is that the is that

00:46:51.040 the western u.s mainstream media is no longer in the in president zelensky's corner and this is

00:46:59.120 absolutely crucial if as we suggested some time ago this war will be won not on the battlefields of

00:47:05.680 ukraine but in the ballot boxes of um of the united states which is the principal financial agent for

00:47:12.080 this war then public opinion is absolutely key okay to that okay now here's the key point here's

00:47:19.040 the key point that is a brilliant uh t up to win in the ballot boxes you have to win in the control

00:47:25.360 rooms of the news because this is an information war right now you have this you know additional

00:47:31.680 supplemental that mccarthy as weak as he is has already said hey it can't happen because my right

00:47:36.480 flank is adamant about it now that's permit permeated to the entire republican party it's one of the

00:47:42.880 reasons the republican candidates have a tough time getting traction because people hear what they say

00:47:46.960 about ukraine and liberty and democracy and freedom all this they understand just more neocon neocon talk

00:47:52.800 that got us into afghanistan iraq for 20 years at nine trillion dollars and ten thousand uh dead

00:47:59.280 casualties right so people have tuned it out so they can't win there here's the key the only reason

00:48:05.760 the mainstream media is reporting it is because in this august recess people are getting briefed

00:48:11.360 democratic congressmen are over in ukraine getting briefed because they've got to come back and the

00:48:17.520 democrats got to put a full court press and they were shocked they said we got to see some progress

00:48:22.000 walk me through this and what they saw shocked them because they don't watch the war room they are in

00:48:27.680 shock because they they've been they've been supplied this fantasy that the americans train

00:48:32.800 these guys they're all set to go and you're going to have patents breakout in uh in france in 19 uh

00:48:39.600 1944 that's what you're looking for you know this kind of armored lead divisions right they're going to

00:48:45.520 sweep around the russians and take back the don bosk and then and then go down a southern drive to uh

00:48:50.640 you know bradley will go one way patent will go the other montgomery go the other

00:48:54.240 and the russians will be gone that's a fantasy and understanding they got so much

00:48:58.560 a political capital into this they're shocked all those leaks are democrats all those diplomats are

00:49:05.200 all democrats and they're in panic mode you know why because all of them have lied and spun this from

00:49:11.920 the beginning ben harnwell yeah they've all lied they've all spun it from the beginning and you know

00:49:18.160 why you say now it's now into august and they're going over there and they're hearing these things

00:49:23.120 right but the absolute i would say the real dynamic here is actually the the presence the existence on

00:49:29.680 the face of this planet of donald trump right whether he wins in november 2024 or not and obviously

00:49:36.160 here we're 100 percent 110 expect this the democrats can't be sure and the fact that they cannot be

00:49:46.800 sure and the polls you know it's cnn is pushing out this poll yesterday then you can be sure that

00:49:51.280 their own internal polling on on these things it has is like a little red lamp flashing on on the on

00:49:58.640 the dashboard they cannot be they cannot afford now the luxury of being all in biden doesn't have much

00:50:04.960 much wiggle room because he he's he's bound himself into this but the rest of the democrat party they'll

00:50:10.640 be thinking as you've been suggesting about ditching him before now next november they've got this little

00:50:15.360 red light blinking on on the dash telling them that ukraine is no is is not going to win it for them

00:50:21.360 because the country is moving away don't forget that figure in the poll yesterday only 17 of the american

00:50:27.760 public want to see us uh boots on the ground in ukraine 17 i'm like i'm like shocked i'm like

00:50:36.640 shocked to that 17 is ben we got to bounce how do people your analysis and observations and reporting

00:50:42.400 has been extraordinary uh we're going to keep pounding this every day because it's going to be
