Bannon's War Room - WarRoom Battleground EP 414： Remembering Our Veterans; China Hoards US Gold

00:00:00.000 this is what you're fighting for I mean every day you're out there what they're doing is blowing

00:00:14.600 people off if you continue to look the other way and shut up then the oppressors the

00:00:21.580 authoritarians get total control and total power because this is just like in Arizona this is just

00:00:27.500 like in Georgia it's another element that backs them into a quarter and shows their lies and

00:00:32.240 misrepresentations that's why this audience is going to have to get engaged as we've told you

00:00:36.180 this is the fight all this nonsense all this spin they can't handle the truth war room battleground

00:00:42.900 here's your host Stephen K Bannon Friday 10 November year of our Lord 2023 want to thank you it's the

00:00:51.380 eve of veterans day of course tomorrow we have all of our specials today is the 248th

00:00:58.380 birthday day of the birth of the United States Marine Corps the legendary United States Marine Corps want

00:01:04.380 to thank all the Marines who have fought and died for this country and their families and all the

00:01:11.680 Marines have served in the in particular the battles in Pacific and Iraq and Afghanistan just

00:01:16.900 unbelievable the valor and the courage we're gonna get to Philip uh Philip uh Patrick K O'Donnell in

00:01:22.400 the second the best combat historian of his generation is going to come on and talk to us

00:01:26.760 about the meaning of veterans day but I gotta start with so Joe Allen particularly we've launched on

00:01:31.840 760 a.m weno the flame uh in Nashville you're in Nashville the Nashville area twice next week I think

00:01:40.780 it is I want to uh Joe tell me where you're going to be where the talk's going to be how do people

00:01:46.040 get tickets well first uh for the 14th November 14th I'll be at Landmark Booksellers that's in

00:01:55.900 Franklin Tennessee absolutely free it's a book signing uh short talk uh we'll be there from

00:02:01.880 5 p.m to 8 p.m it's a fantastic place very uh rights friendly so uh that's November 14th Franklin

00:02:10.120 Tennessee and then the following day November 15th at the Phoenix Lodge in West Nashville 7 p.m the uh

00:02:18.420 kind of the the central talk of this lecture series so um the tickets are available you'll have links at

00:02:26.940 the top of my site you can get tickets at the West Nashville Phoenix Lodge website and promo code

00:02:35.020 Joe Bot 10% discount uh give me that one where do people go to find the whole tour how do they find

00:02:43.300 the details on this is it up on the War Room site or Grace and Moe pushing out what are we doing here

00:02:48.620 yeah you want to go to warroom.org right under the transhumanism tab there is a list of every stop I'll

00:02:56.380 be on links to the places that will require tickets and addresses for everywhere that doesn't you can

00:03:02.180 also find it at the top of my site joebot.xyz and of course at the top of my social media I'll have it

00:03:09.340 pinned to the top at joebotxyz Nashville November 15th Phoenix Lodge you definitely don't want to miss

00:03:18.500 it if you're in the area um and um and why real quickly why is that the linchpin you're saying this

00:03:25.980 is the big one of your the central uh event of your tour why is that hometown uh now not not to take

00:03:33.820 away from all the others and by the way I was in Indianapolis uh just five days ago and then two

00:03:39.480 days ago in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania huge posse presence there fantastic showing uh fantastic

00:03:46.240 people uh and so I really really appreciate it yeah but Nashville is my hometown and I will have

00:03:52.140 a number of my colleagues both from the rigging world and the academic world and also from uh the

00:03:57.760 media world so uh I've got a lot of production capabilities for a fantastic powerpoint and

00:04:05.120 the whole thing basically I'm assured to be able to communicate the kind of central message of what

00:04:11.320 I'm talking about what I'm talking about is the rise of a techno religion we call it transhumanism

00:04:18.520 post-humanism singularitarianism and the corresponding technological developments that have alarmed both

00:04:27.360 you and me and and everyone in the posse this is uh this is really an inflection point technologically

00:04:34.180 it will affect every aspect of people's lives and so I'm trying to condense really the message that we

00:04:39.740 brought on the war room and the message that I put forward in my book dark eon so um yeah Nashville is

00:04:46.780 going to be very very special and uh like I say it's kind of a hometown so uh very much looking

00:04:53.020 forward to it and Michael Patrick Lay is going to do an interview a lot uh Joe Allen one last time

00:04:58.880 your social media where do people go go to twitter or getter at j-o-e-b-o-t-x-y-z you'll have a link to

00:05:08.820 all the dates at the top all the links to the places that are ticketed and if you are in the Dallas area

00:05:15.140 I will be there if you're in the Kansas City area I will be there and then of course Los Angeles

00:05:19.940 December 2nd if you are in that area I will be there come out say hi everyone has had a fantastic

00:05:27.040 time and it's been phenomenal meeting everyone from the war room especially Mary from Pittsburgh

00:05:32.280 big shout out to Mary Mary and by the way tremendous feedback from the war and posse uh Joe Allen thank

00:05:39.520 you you can go on your ways I know you're you're traveling right now so make sure uh you arrive safe

00:05:44.260 Patrick K O'Donnell you do every Memorial Day thank you brother you do Christmas with us

00:05:50.360 on the combat history of Christmas you do Memorial Day what is that would tell here's what I want you

00:05:55.540 on in the eve of of it's observed today some places but it's really tomorrow what is the difference

00:06:01.700 between Veterans Day and Memorial Day I want to make sure the audience understands these are two distinct

00:06:07.880 uh commemorations and two distinct holidays what's the what's the primary difference

00:06:12.760 Memorial Day was initially something called Decoration Day and that was to honor the the deceased the the war

00:06:20.480 dead specifically it came out of the Civil War it was to honor the dead of both sides of the Civil War

00:06:26.980 and Veterans Day on the other hand begins shortly after World War I it's initially called Armistice Day

00:06:34.440 it's to honor the veterans of World War I and those that won the Great War the difference is you're honoring

00:06:42.100 veterans that are alive in all of our wars now it changes to Veterans Day in 1954 to honor all veterans of all wars

00:06:54.280 rather than the dead which we honor on Memorial Day

00:06:58.920 what what is symbolically the Armistice Day why explain to our audience why is it the 11th hour

00:07:08.340 of the 11th day of the 11th month what is what is why is that symbolic and so important it's thinking

00:07:14.080 about Veterans Day and Armistice Day to end World War I through an armistice and Dave that day Steve

00:07:22.700 is extremely uh compelling because men from both Germany and the Allies were dying up until the last

00:07:32.940 minute of of the 11th day and the 11th hour of the 11th minute in 1918 the United States and its allies

00:07:43.240 in France were engaged in something called the Meuse-Argonne Offensive which was the largest battle

00:07:50.040 that America has ever been engaged in over a million men and they were part of uh an advancing

00:07:56.740 offensive in on the western front and they were really the crucial in many cases the crucial uh punch

00:08:05.020 that would knock out Germany's Hindenburg line and some of its greatest defenses and their their aim was

00:08:10.840 to go towards a place called Sudan but if we go back to November 10th 1918 it would be the Marine Corps

00:08:19.340 who has their birthday today the 248th happy birthday Marines that would spearhead one of the last

00:08:27.280 attacks in 1918 they would have to cross what was known as the Meuse River and that this is an epic

00:08:35.060 battle where effectively elements of two regiments the 5th and 6th Marines which were attached to the

00:08:42.480 second division of the United States Army made an attack across tiny foot bridges which had to get

00:08:48.520 they had to go across hundreds of yards of water basically in the teeth of machine guns and artillery

00:08:54.940 fire and that begins on the night of November 10th and uh these men are you know just intrepid it's a

00:09:02.140 very it's a very sad story though how so many of these men lose their lives over a thousand

00:09:07.620 members of the American expeditionary force lose their lives on the last day of the war the Marines

00:09:14.220 cross the river along with other elements of the AEF and they dig in on the other side and the Germans 0.95

00:09:20.760 counter-attack relentlessly with machine guns mortar fire and artillery fire but they're still able to

00:09:27.620 hold this bridgehead and on the 11th hour of the 11th minute on November 11th in 1918 uh the guns stop

00:09:36.380 there's an amazing uh record that's out there that records the sounds of battle heavy artillery fire

00:09:44.420 machine gun fire all of the din of battle rule one and it it goes all the way up until that last minute

00:09:53.340 and then it stops and there's eerie silence for about a minute or two it's amazing

00:09:58.920 unbelievable patrick i know you've got a new book coming out next year where do people go

00:10:05.700 to get all your writings you're you're obviously a favorite of this audience they they they devour

00:10:10.340 your books when you come out where do they go to get all your old writings and your books because

00:10:14.100 they're relevant today particularly with with Fallujah and those Fallujah come out what's what's the

00:10:20.320 new book called the unvanquished and uh it's on lincoln special special force it's an untold story

00:10:26.980 and uh it's also a story about the shadow war in the civil war which is what the u the uh oss in

00:10:36.840 world war ii in 1941 we did not have special operations forces they look back at these men and

00:10:44.300 this untold story that i tell for the first time uh both north and south through un you know written

00:10:52.240 letters that have really been shown for the first time just thousands of primary sources to to to

00:11:00.020 present a book that many people that have looked at it or some great historians said it's one of my

00:11:05.960 finest and potentially destined for film or tv but i'm very excited about this book and it'll come out

00:11:13.940 in in may people if you i'm i'm the the war room audience has been amazing i had a i had a presentation

00:11:20.520 that i did at hillsdale college about a month ago and i met many members of the posse and just really

00:11:26.820 it was an honor to meet you and i'm i'm uh thrilled pre-order the book if possible

00:11:32.360 and uh unfortunately with the indispensable we had so much demand that we had to do

00:11:38.620 six print runs on that book um oh no you can reach me at patrick o'donald.com or at combat

00:11:46.740 historian on twitter or getter okay brother we're going to push it we're going to go to 10 printings

00:11:52.960 on this this book is very special and a big big amazing story on the civil war that's never been

00:11:58.480 told as only patrick k o'donald can tell him thank you brother appreciate it thank you steve

00:12:03.760 it's an honor to be on the show you're going to patrick's site too thanks brother if you're going

00:12:07.380 to patrick's you get that book uh i think we were one his book about the uh about the marines at

00:12:12.960 fallujah just unbelievable and that will be if you see what the israeli idf is going through it's what

00:12:18.100 the marines in second fallujah went through do i have the open can play the clip for uh for uh for

00:12:23.680 for philip patrick oh we don't have it i wanted to play the chinese clip as i told you before the

00:12:29.100 show that's okay hold on uh philip uh yelling is in china or excuse me she's in san francisco

00:12:36.240 uh biden is going to go out there and rub up on she on tuesday uh newsweek magazine finally admits

00:12:43.400 their cover the other day was they finally admitted that the chinese communist party has been buying

00:12:48.140 gold their central bank at record levels at record levels in uh at record levels in 2022

00:12:55.740 and 2023 connect those two dots why are we going to kowtow and to try because this is the whole thing

00:13:02.440 about coupling and recoupling and bailing out the ccp from their ponzi scheme in real estate although we 0.97

00:13:08.640 have commercial real estate's about to collapse here and take down a number of regional banks china's

00:13:13.580 been buying gold the federal reserve has been working on a central bank digital currency

00:13:17.920 brother make that make sense to me i can't do that it doesn't make any sense at all listen we know

00:13:26.340 why the chinese government are buying gold and it's not because it doesn't suit our interest but

00:13:32.140 concerningly it's not just the chinese government last year and this year the two biggest years for

00:13:38.340 gold buying in central government history so it's china and governments around the world but china is

00:13:44.440 certainly spearheading it 25 percent of all the central bank uh gold purchases have been from china and

00:13:52.340 it's very clear that this is part of a broader move away from dollar-based assets especially u.s debt

00:13:59.520 and it's been going on for a little while now the concerning part is that at a time of geopolitical and

00:14:06.800 financial instability and volatility it's starting to make sense for the world to move away from the

00:14:14.240 dollar especially when we consider that the dollar has lost 18 percent purchasing power since the

00:14:20.120 pandemic begun now here in the united states we call that inflation everywhere else it's just

00:14:25.820 straightforward value destruction now what was interesting is the ccp have come out and officially

00:14:32.280 stated that they've been adding to their gold purchases it's strange because with china not all

00:14:38.340 purchases are publicized in fact china are already the largest gold mining nation in the world and most

00:14:46.200 people don't know that because china cannot export domestically mine gold but by announcing the purchases i

00:14:53.460 think china is sending a clear message not just about gold but about the u.s dollar as well

00:14:59.260 hold it hold it hold it stop don't bury the lead brother why can china not export domestically mine no

00:15:06.320 no this is the punch line why can china not export domestically mine gold brother well because it

00:15:13.460 doesn't suit their their national interest to do it and you look at what they're not the ccp the ccp are 1.00

00:15:20.020 not crazy if you're mining it in here that they always put the ccp hey if it's coming out of the earth 1.00

00:15:26.600 below the surface of china it's staying in china right they always put themselves first and that 0.99

00:15:33.360 would be a capital crime you take gold out of china uh and you're caught you're not going to live long

00:15:39.740 am i am i am i overstating that brother you're not overstating it at all and look at what we do with our

00:15:46.380 with our you know strategic oil reserves we pump them around the world to drop oil prices marginally

00:15:52.940 it's absolutely bonkers just go back i want to know the logic though the you've seen the bricks

00:16:00.380 i mean we're living in a world and the audience is now because we've been doing this long enough is

00:16:05.340 it's starting to the interconnectivity you have here and we've been fighting you know we started today and

00:16:11.460 we look we love johnson this was the audience that made that happen but we see we see happy talk and

00:16:17.440 happy feet over the over the over the cr next week and they don't want to shut the government down

00:16:22.560 they want to keep having it print money and and pay this massive deficit we now as you and i talked

00:16:28.260 about bloomberg finally admitted uh last week that it's going to be one trillion dollars in interest

00:16:34.320 expense not paying off a penny of principal which is going to add another two train of principal

00:16:39.140 not paying off a penny of principal just paying down the interest is a trillion dollars

00:16:44.000 at the same time you have the bricks nation records in 22 and 23 and now we find out the big reveal is

00:16:50.460 china's leading 25 of all purchases are the ccp what message is the world sending about what they think 1.00

00:16:58.920 about the financial the financial situation of the american republic sir well well this is disastrous

00:17:06.560 right and and it's it's important that you put it in the context of domestic spending as well

00:17:11.600 because i think it's key to the argument but the reality is this we're seeing a split globally right

00:17:17.960 there's a few reasons that china and half of the world now are buying gold right one is the political

00:17:24.360 angle look at the financial cancellation of russia we booted them off swift we seized their assets and

00:17:30.480 what it did was it told everyone in the world that their dollars what they thought were their assets

00:17:35.140 could easily become liabilities right after china invaded crimea biden sanctioned the nation china

00:17:41.420 took no such a move would have crippled the chinese economy it would have been a silver bullet that could 0.99

00:17:47.120 have stopped an invasion of taiwan without bloodshed but instead biden wasted the silver bullet on the

00:17:53.040 vampire we now have a werewolf in the background putting on a kevlar vest so essentially by weaponizing our

00:17:59.200 dollar and this is something we've discussed before we're disincentivizing then you have the

00:18:04.600 investment angle right china owned a tremendous amount of u.s debt over the last few years as

00:18:10.260 interest rates have risen it's lowering the market value of the debt portfolio which by the way is

00:18:16.220 pretty much what torpedoed svb back in march why on earth would they spend good money after bad so

00:18:23.020 after the over the last few years switching from u.s government debt has been a very good trade

00:18:29.120 and china on loan look at japan now dumping u.s debt they're a strategic ally finally we've got to

00:18:37.040 consider this strong motivation now to replace the dollar as the global reserve currency china after

00:18:44.080 all are the sea in bricks and we know their aim is to usurp the dollar's dominance and i think gold

00:18:50.500 purchasing is a first step in doing so look these bricks nations we're talking about a common

00:18:56.960 common currency but they don't really need one these are significant gold owning nations adding to

00:19:03.760 their stockpiles allowing them now to save for the future without and i think this is important without

00:19:10.580 subsidizing the u.s government's attempts to undermine their union right so maybe we're seeing a global

00:19:19.380 split now east versus west or maybe we're seeing a world realizing that the dollar cannot be a sustainable

00:19:26.640 store of value for much longer what's concerning is how quickly we've seen this turnaround from the

00:19:33.120 boom of the trump economy three years ago to the bust of a biden economy but this is where spending

00:19:39.440 comes in right this is why the debates going on in congress now are crucial and why we have to control

00:19:46.340 the spending look when the world wanted dollars the government had it made it was that that allowed

00:19:51.940 us to amass 33 trillion dollars in debt without being crushed by it but the problem it's really

00:19:58.160 simple when supply rises and demand goes down not only we do we see the dollar's value go down but we

00:20:04.960 also see the interest payments on our debt go up right and as you mentioned before we're basically at

00:20:12.020 the point of no return already with a trillion dollars in debt service payment and that's right now

00:20:18.420 as we see the global demand for dollars start to wane we're seeing supply and demand head in the wrong

00:20:25.400 direction supply of dollars increasing through spending demand coming down that's a disaster let's not

00:20:31.860 forget pound sterling lost 96 percent of its buying power since it lost global reserve currency the u.s

00:20:39.820 today is on the same path and it's not a path that we want to be going down i can tell you that as a

00:20:46.740 uncertainty so this is why the spending debates are important this is why we're in the situation

00:20:52.660 we're are but it's becoming dire and the chinese are capitalizing 1.00

00:20:56.940 paul krugman and uh who was against us you remember you and i came out and said hey the spending is going

00:21:04.620 to drive inflation on the first uh tranche what biden did to the republican senate they said no these guys

00:21:10.360 are wrong it won't happen but pickety and the modern monetary theory guys they got a big story in business

00:21:15.360 week about how it's good this is going to be like the roaring 20s it's going to be high inflation but

00:21:18.580 you're going to have high growth and and these are the leading guys pickety and krugman that said hey

00:21:23.640 the philip patrick of the world and the birch golds and steve bannon they're really barbarians because 0.97

00:21:28.300 they're talking about something that mankind's left behind now we have these digital currencies and we're

00:21:32.580 about to have the singularity and transhumanism and all this that this is a barbaric relic of man's 1.00

00:21:38.560 past if that's the case the nations just answer me this the bricks nations and i keep telling people

00:21:45.680 you know whether it's sub-saharan africa or the middle east or latin america all their guys went

00:21:51.880 to mit sloan went to harvard business school went to stanford they all got the hp12c they could all

00:21:57.240 run the numbers they understand the the mechanics of modern corporate and uh in international and

00:22:03.720 in governmental finance public finance why are they buying gold why so these guys tell me every day

00:22:10.360 this is a barbaric relic it has nothing to do in the modern world why are the guys that have the

00:22:14.840 resources buying gold at record rates just answer me that for this barbaric i mean i mean because it's

00:22:22.440 clearly not a barbaric relic and and and that's the key right it's it's the reason we mentioned before

00:22:28.100 you were holding dollars over the last three years you lost significant buying power you're holding gold

00:22:33.340 you're buying power increased or maintained it it applies to us it applies to central governments

00:22:39.460 on top of that like i said you know these countries holding u.s dollars they're starting to view those

00:22:46.200 dollars as a liability by holding dollars they're supporting the u.s government right they're

00:22:51.360 supporting the u.s government in our aim to prevent china invading taiwan it doesn't suit their 1.00

00:22:57.640 interests anymore and sadly it looks like we're being outsmarted so it's a very very dangerous

00:23:05.280 trajectory and by the way this is not a new story this is one that has been played out time and time

00:23:10.680 again throughout history our leaders should know this right it's it's obvious i think the i think the

00:23:16.400 i think the barbaric relic has been a hedge against human nature which hasn't changed at all

00:23:20.160 also might add it particularly for all you guys and look we do not give a financial vice here we give

00:23:26.580 macro but i will tell you your your advisor and your broker that old 60 40 at the wall street journal

00:23:32.160 a couple weeks ago said hey maybe that formula doesn't work anymore the the 40 you're supposed

00:23:37.100 to have in government bonds that are totally safe when you ask your broker hey what i can't sell that's

00:23:42.460 that that safe government portfolio i got uh market to market and they come back 50 cents on the

00:23:47.620 dollar because rates have gone up and you're you're you got a long bond that's got you had a 30 year

00:23:51.920 two percent all of a sudden it's hello what's going on here and that's what people i think that's

00:32:27.400 here and then we're going to end with cnn's uh interview with uh clips of mccarthy fighting back

00:32:34.520 look this thing's a long way from over and don't think mccarthy uh and these guys don't think about

00:32:38.880 having a restoration so we we have a fight in front of us that's going to be historic veterans day

00:32:44.780 tomorrow is going to be so special when everybody 10 a.m eastern standard time we'll have a show

00:32:49.780 nothing but vets uh we're going to be on here we're going to break uh talk about some uh talk

00:32:54.460 about uh films we're doing talk about some music all of it so you don't want to miss this uh chris

00:32:58.600 tour dude i tell you i'm so proud we're in partnership with you guys at satellite phone

00:33:04.100 store turbulent times you always come up with specials that help the worm posse they all blow

00:33:09.240 out right away uh our audience loves us what do you got for us today well steve today we're looking

00:33:15.520 at um the news coming out of australia where optus the number two carrier uh went down taking 40 percent

00:33:22.540 of the country with it so nearly half the country was without cell phone service and internet access for

00:33:28.140 up to two days so far um this is a lesson in what could happen here steve as you know you know this

00:33:34.260 network in australia was taken down most likely by cyber terrorists by bad state actors uh the same

00:33:39.560 people who are targeting the u.s networks cell phone networks so what we have at sat123.com is a free

00:33:46.060 satellite phone with activation satellite phones work when cell phones go down when towers go down and

00:33:52.260 the powers go out this satellite phone that we have is a 1500 phone you get it for free with

00:33:57.440 activation it's just 120 bucks a month and you get 100 minutes a month included in that steve

00:34:02.580 and this phone is an essential part of your preparation kit if you don't have communications

00:34:07.980 in your prep kit then you do not have a complete kit the satellite phone will work anywhere on earth

00:34:13.920 no matter what is going on in the ground so right now we still have a few phones left steve but no more

00:34:19.340 after this is done there are no more phones coming to us so if you got a sat123.com

00:34:23.820 or call us at 941-955-1020 that's 941-955-1020 we will get you a satellite phone by as soon as

00:34:32.580 tomorrow and free with activation saving you 1500 and this phone will make sure that you never lose

00:34:39.560 communication no matter what is going on and this could be a life-saving device steve

00:34:44.160 so hang on i just want to make sure everybody understands you're gonna the the state-of-the-art

00:34:49.140 1500 phone i get for free i just got to activate i get a year's activation but i get all these minutes

00:34:55.780 and the minutes roll over right that's correct yeah 100 minutes roll over if you don't use them

00:35:01.320 every single month so six months in if you haven't used it you're gonna have 600 minutes

00:35:05.260 to use without any extra cost and what we've seen is in disasters people use a lot of minutes

00:35:10.820 but we what we want to make sure is we're not hitting you with that bill when you can least

00:35:14.760 afford it so check out the phone at sat123.com or give us a call at 941-955-1020 it's 941-955-1020

00:35:23.140 steve when these phones are gone there are no more left this year that's it so we'll be out

00:35:27.520 completely whatever happens chris whore thank you so much for making these specials available to the 1.00

00:35:33.920 war and posse really appreciate it thanks steve chris whore the satellite phone store get on this one

00:35:38.960 this is not gonna i mean it's a deal like you said you see what's happening in australia these

00:35:43.380 these services can go down at any time so make sure that it does not impact you we're living in a

00:35:48.380 time of turbulence remember we're building a patriot's economy we're also giving you access

00:35:52.500 to those people that can help you prepare prepare for the worst hope for the best i'm very proud of

00:35:59.420 this uh this little film will tell us tell you in detail exactly how we got here that you're you're

00:36:04.860 the driving force of this the task we have in front of us is going to be huge but you're already

00:36:09.640 getting wins you know they're talking about bundling the the uh israel money they're already

00:36:13.980 talking about hey you can't get ukraine passed unless they got to tie it to border security which

00:36:17.620 they know is all driven by you we have so many fights ahead of us this coming week is going to be

00:36:22.840 huge but make sure tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock veterans day we're going to get all the news

00:36:26.640 we're live we're going to talk about what it means to be a veteran and particularly what it means to be

00:36:32.040 in a veteran today at the beginning stages of the kinetic part of the third world war i'm really

00:36:38.480 proud of this we're going to end it with quite a snarky interview by kevin mccarthy that shows you

00:36:44.500 he ain't finished he thinks that hey we're in posse might have done this but this is just an interim

00:36:49.940 step i'm going to push back you're now going to see this short film finished by the uh finished by

00:36:55.460 the interview i'll see you back here 10 a.m eastern time for our veterans day special live tomorrow morning

00:37:02.020 this is quite a sight to behold kevin mccarthy walking up to bobert and mainly gates trying to

00:37:13.340 convince matt gates to vote yes and not press kevin mccarthy on the brink of the speakership

00:37:18.960 all in the hands of matt gates who is not willing to give it to him

00:37:22.680 did you see mike rogers from alabama mike rogers of alabama launched at matt gates i've never seen

00:37:30.460 anything like this this is the kind of thing none of us have

00:37:33.360 republican leader kevin mccarthy plowed ahead with plans for a house takeover formally announcing his

00:37:54.760 bid for speaker he needs to hit 218 and there are some republicans i'm thinking of matt gates for one

00:38:01.000 who have said time and time again they will never vote for kevin mccarthy if you want to drain the

00:38:06.940 swamp you cannot put the biggest alligator in charge of the exercise for the first time in 100

00:38:14.600 years the vote to elect a house speaker has gone to multiple ballots on the first ballot 19 house

00:38:20.600 republicans voted against mccarthy i rise to nominate the most talented hardest working member

00:38:27.380 of the republican conference i'm nominating jim jordan on the second mccarthy again failed to get

00:38:33.580 a majority and had 19 republicans vote for jim jordan instead of him on the third ballot mccarthy

00:38:39.360 actually lost another vote and had 20 members voting against him at that point leaders decided

00:38:43.780 they needed a reset and now there's a bunch of meetings happening behind the scenes in the capital

00:38:47.940 the people who are voting against kevin mccarthy in the republican conference are aiding joe biden 1.00

00:38:54.180 aiding hakeem jeffries and aiding chuck schumer how can they be so stupid they're sabotaging 0.99

00:39:00.180 conservatives who are these republicans who are they matt gates gates donald john trump 1.00

00:39:07.060 trump oh he's enjoyable to watch on tv he's very clever debater utterly useless the principal goal

00:39:15.540 of the people who are objecting to mr mccarthy on the republican side is that we don't believe the

00:39:20.860 rules of this place unlock the potential of all of the members to be able to cast votes

00:39:26.860 on individual bills and to offer amendments on appropriations acts and we're also concerned about

00:39:33.520 spending that has ballooned our debt and borrowed against the future generations of american citizens

00:39:40.540 i think this ends one of two ways trace either kevin bows out or he essentially has to put on a

00:39:47.740 straight jacket with a rules package that we've presented to him that doesn't allow a lot of

00:39:52.380 discretion for the speaker of the house i hope one thing is clear after this week i never give up

00:40:03.100 i'm thrilled at where the house of representatives is today what we negotiated ensures that we will

00:40:14.220 never again have a circumstance like this omnibus spending legislation because bills will have to

00:40:20.140 comport to a single subject there will be germanity requirements you apparently were able to earn a

00:40:25.580 concession from him that all of the security video from capitol hill on january 6 is going to enter the

00:40:32.300 public domain what do you expect to see in that video i'm a believer that transparency answers a

00:40:37.660 lot of questions and whether there's higher criminal acuity for some lower criminal acuity for others

00:40:43.580 releasing that video would be of great interest to many of us on the judiciary committee and i think

00:40:47.500 many people throughout the country we also have a commitment to have a vote on term limits something

00:40:51.980 that's popular in every zip code in america except washington dc we have a commitment for a budget

00:40:56.860 resolution to roll back to 2022 spending levels was there anything specific you were asking for in

00:41:03.020 that dramatic uh end period that we all witnessed yeah what was at issue in the 14th and 15th vote

00:41:09.020 was the one person motion to vacate because a more moderate republican tony gonzalez was going to vote

00:41:14.380 against the rules package that ensconced this one member motion to vacate a key accountability tool

00:41:19.900 i was pointing over it where tony gonzalez sat to say hey you know mccarthy you gotta let me know that he's

00:41:25.100 alone here and that there aren't 5 10 15 moderates who are going to scuttle this beautiful deal that

00:41:30.300 we've put together mccarthy gave me that assurance and now i think we're a very strong team looking

00:41:35.260 forward to the legislative work ahead house republicans say they will not back the debt limit deal

00:41:47.660 saying speaker mccarthy made too many concessions to the white house during negotiations threat of

00:41:52.700 government shutdown lingers as congress heads for august recess i don't want government to shut down

00:41:58.540 leader schumer had the same commitment that i had let's get this work done and let's try to get it done

00:42:04.140 before september 3rd lawmakers are scheduled to break for their traditional august recess even before august

00:42:12.860 i rise today to serve notice mr speaker you are out of compliance with the agreement that allowed you to

00:42:20.620 assume this role we have had no vote on term limits or on balanced budgets as the agreement demanded and

00:42:31.020 required there's been no full release of the january 6 tapes as you promised you boasted in january that

00:42:37.420 we would use the power of the purse and the power of the subpoena to get the job done eight months later

00:42:43.980 and we haven't even sent the first subpoena to hunter biden power of the subpoena and power of the purse

00:42:49.180 only thing the 118th congress is known for at this point is electing kevin mccarthy speaker and

00:42:54.460 underwriting biden's debt and unfortunately there's only one of those things we can remediate at this

00:42:59.660 time power of the purse mr speaker dust off our written january agreement began to comply or face a

00:43:07.980 motion to vacate the chair move the effing motion the challenge from house speaker kevin mccarthy

00:43:17.500 behind closed doors practically daring his republican colleagues to try to oust him from the speaker's

00:43:23.980 chair in response gates had his own words back to the speaker he said how about this how about just

00:43:30.140 move the effing spending bills matt's mad about an ethics complaint that is an abject lie from a sad 0.95

00:43:37.260 and pathetic man if somebody wants to make a motion against me bring it there has to be an adult in 0.92

00:43:43.580 the room i don't think the adult in the room would lie to house conservatives and that is exactly what 0.96

00:43:48.380 kevin mccarthy did you guys all counted me out i'm speaker i'm the 55th speaker of the house the one

00:43:54.300 thing democrats republicans the white house that we all have in common is that kevin mccarthy at one

00:43:59.420 point or another has lied to all of us are you expecting democrats to back you up then no i i personally

00:44:05.020 am not the gentleman will state the form of his resolution resolved that the office of speaker of the

00:44:10.540 house of representatives is hereby declared to be vacant the clerk may call the roll bigs yay what is

00:44:25.180 going on are we redefining what conservative is buck yay what's going on in this country today what's going

00:44:32.940 on in this body burchett yay and all of a sudden my phone keeps sending text messages oh look give me

00:44:40.460 money i filed the motion to vacate crane yay it's disgusting it's what's disgusting about washington gates

00:44:51.100 yay i take no lecture from those who would grovel and bend knee for the lobbyists and special interests

00:44:58.620 who own our leadership who have oh boo all you want good of virginia yay under kevin's speakership

00:45:07.420 that lasted 15 rounds of him never giving up this republican majority has exceeded all expectations mace

00:45:16.540 yay then we definitely need higher expectations rosendale yay

00:45:28.940 the yeas are 216 the nays are 210 the office of speaker of the house is hereby declared vacant

00:45:45.420 so i may have lost a vote today but as i walk out of this chamber i feel fortunate to have served

00:45:50.300 the american people i will not run for speaker again i'll have the conference pick somebody else

00:45:59.820 96 percent of the republicans voted for mccarthy four percent decided they were so morally superior

00:46:08.220 they're traitors all eight of them should in fact be primaried they should all be driven out of public

00:46:13.500 life you think i'm paralyzing the house of representatives what's paralyzed the house of 0.85

00:46:18.300 representatives has been the failure of speaker mccarthy so this represents the ripping off of the

00:46:23.020 band-aid did matt gates hurt the party uh by ousting kevin mccarthy it depends i mean it depends on how

00:46:30.140 good the new speaker whoever that may be maybe we'll end up with one of the great speakers of all time in

00:46:35.580 which case matt gates did a tremendous favor tell me if you've heard this one before house republicans

00:46:43.660 struggle to find a speaker so are we seeing the same movie again

00:46:52.860 majority leader steve scalise is put forward by the party he doesn't have enough votes he pulls out

00:46:57.420 jim jordan now loses three ballots on the floor he pulls out there were jokes for emmer that third

00:47:03.100 time was going to be the charm but it was not what now

00:47:06.540 mark molinaro said look why don't we just take a poll to see where people stand on the guy who came

00:47:14.380 in second to emmer who was mike johnson guess which member objected kevin mccarthy because he hadn't

00:47:20.940 quite figured out how he could scuttle and sabotage mike johnson

00:47:25.740 then mccarthy inspired a write-in campaign to get people to vote for mccarthy and mccarthy got

00:47:37.660 these 43 votes and so johnson said well if we've got 43 people still voting for mccarthy let's have

00:47:43.900 a roll call let's see if those 43 members will stand up and say they still want mccarthy back and

00:47:50.140 those 43 votes when we went to a roll call withered to nothing i'm honored to have the support of my

00:48:10.220 colleagues and what they understand about this is this is servant leadership america is the last best

00:48:17.660 hope of man on the earth abraham lincoln said it ronald reagan used to remind us all the time and

00:48:23.340 we're here to remind you of that again democracy is messy sometimes but it is our system this conference

00:48:38.620 that you see this house republican majority is united gates johnson mccarthy johnson the honorable mike

00:48:54.860 johnson's duly elected speaker of the house of representatives for the 118th congress

00:49:08.620 the challenge before us is great but the time for action is now i want to say to the american people

00:49:17.340 on behalf of all of us here we hear you our mission here is to serve you well to restore the people's

00:49:23.900 faith in this house in this great and essential institution

00:49:31.820 i made all of you a promise that we would have a speaker of the house who was more conservative

00:49:37.900 and more honest and we got our guy it was so touching to see this man of god talking about

00:49:44.540 how we can fulfill america's great vision together and it is an america first vision

00:49:50.220 it is a strong america vision and one i definitely share

00:50:07.900 um

00:50:12.140 matt gates you've been mentioning a lot how much would the republican party benefit if you were

00:50:17.100 no longer a member of the house in your opinion oh tremendously i mean people have to earn the right

00:50:23.020 to be here and um i just think from i mean he'll admit to you personally is he doesn't have a conservative

00:50:30.460 bent in his philosophy um and just the nature of what he focuses on do you think the house

00:50:36.700 gop should consider expelling him look that's up to the conference but i mean i don't believe

00:50:42.060 the conference would ever heal if there's no consequences for the action what about them

00:50:45.900 surprised you burchett and mace it just didn't it seemed out of nature but they they seem to

00:50:51.180 had changed during a time they care a lot about press not about policy and so they they seem to just

00:50:56.540 want the press and the personality do you think mace will have a difficult time winning reelection now

00:51:02.540 yeah i don't well not because of this i mean if you've watched her just her philosophy and the flip

00:51:07.420 flopping um yeah i i don't believe she wins re-election i don't think she'll probably have 0.85

00:51:13.100 earned the right to get re-elected i think that you look at the district herself yeah so in response

00:51:19.740 these members shooting back at the former speaker matt gates saying quote thoughts and prayers to the

00:51:25.820 former speaker as he works through his grief and i asked nancy mace about all this too she said that

00:51:31.420 she stands by her vote she attacked mccarthy for quote lying all the time to her and also tim burchett

00:51:38.620 who said that speaker former speaker mccarthy is quote just bitter and he said that he he says quote

00:51:44.220 he'll enter into a successful job in lobbying so you're seeing dana that no love lost here with

00:51:51.580 the former speaker as he is adjusting to this new role as a rank and file member someone who is

00:51:58.460 not in the room not dealing with a potential crisis a government funding crisis one of course that ended

00:52:04.620 his speakership not too long ago when he relied on democratic votes to advance a short-term spending bill

00:52:10.700 but making very clear that those eight republicans are still fresh on his mind and will be for a long
