Artificial Intelligence will be the central element of change in the world, it must be available to all countries of the world. It must be a tool that fosters human development, or it will drive us further apart. Today I m sitting down with the man tasked with leading the United Nation through all of this, Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
00:00:00.000this is what you're fighting for I mean every day you're out there what they're doing is blowing
00:00:11.480people off if you continue to look the other way and shut up then the oppressors the
00:00:18.460authoritarians get total control and total power because this is just like in Arizona this is just
00:00:24.380like in Georgia it's another element that backs them into a quarter and shows their lies and
00:00:29.120misrepresentations is why this audience is going to have to get engaged as we've told you this is
00:00:33.400the fight all this nonsense all this spin they can't handle the truth war room battleground here's
00:00:40.440your host Stephen K Bannon artificial intelligence will be the central element of change in the world
00:00:50.300it must be available to all countries of the world and what role will technology particularly
00:00:57.020generative AI have in fostering human development or in driving us further apart today I'm sitting
00:01:03.660down with the man tasked with leading the United Nations through all of this Secretary General
00:01:08.060Antonio Guterres in 2021 Secretary General Guterres called for a global digital compact to regulate AI
00:01:15.440fight misinformation and connect the entire world to the internet last year the United Nations convened
00:01:21.720a group of experts full disclosure I'm one of them to make recommendations for what the compact should
00:01:28.600include if countries agree it will be adopted at the summit of the future I think the most important idea
00:01:37.400when you are as I am in the United Nations is to make people understand that we need to live in a
00:01:45.000rules-based world we have the values of the charter but we need to have international law and people
00:01:53.640need to respect international law and international humanitarian law and there must be accountability
00:02:00.360and the other risk is that a small group of developed countries consider that artificial intelligence is their
00:02:07.880business and that the majority of the countries of the world have nothing to do with it and that would be
00:02:12.760totally unacceptable because artificial intelligence is the opportunity of our generation but it is an
00:02:19.480existential threat and to be an opportunity of our generation it must be available to all countries
00:02:26.920of the world and to all areas of the world population co-authors and I think that it's very very important
00:02:33.240that we be prepared for a variety of threats those threats could include deepfakes of election officials of
00:02:39.160candidates like yourselves and also deepfakes that present election apparatus in them that indicate
00:02:47.000that there was was tampering with physical objects associated with the election in two bills that I mentioned
00:02:52.840earlier that I worked on in California that are currently awaiting signature fingers crossed by Governor
00:02:57.560Newsom Assembly Bill 2655 by Mark Berman Assembly Bill 2839 by Gail Pellerin those would actually have
00:03:04.600uh serious consequences so that if someone posted those types of election deepfakes they could be removed
00:03:11.000that platforms would be required to remove them yeah well our bill allows for them it is many of them are
00:03:16.680actually supporting this bill uh because it makes it clear um the platforms are that they would have to
00:03:22.680take it down but it also puts liability on the people that put those up yeah potential liability
00:03:27.720good evening it is thursday september 26th in the year of our lord 2024 i am joe allen sitting in for
00:03:39.000stephen k bannon who is still in prison unjustly we just heard from secretary general of the un
00:03:48.680antonio gutierrez talking about the future of ai ai is going to change everything it's going to send
00:03:56.440robots to your house and kick in your door and drag you to the gulag half kidding what will undoubtedly
00:04:04.760happen with this ai revolution what is already happening is a massive psychological shift that's
00:04:12.280going to have a lot of different elements the first being simply the understanding publicly accepted
00:04:20.520that artificial intelligence is a source of authority the second is going to be the rapid proliferation
00:04:28.760of ai generated content including deepfakes now if you've been following the war room or any other
00:04:36.680major news outlet you know that the global digital compact was adopted by the un and a big focus of the global
00:04:47.400digital compact is ai generated deepfakes misinformation and disinformation what that means is that this
00:04:56.760international body will seek to use its power use its sway to either punish or in some ways eliminate by
00:05:08.200way of censorship anything considered to be mis and disinformation including deepfakes now i want to put two things
00:05:16.040out there you already know this but i want you to be certain of this number one i want trump to win in fact i need trump to win
00:05:26.440because i want the borders closed i want us out of foreign wars and i want the entirety of the dei structure to be dismantled
00:05:40.600and if we don't have a country of legacy legacy americans don't have a country to call our own then there's not
00:05:47.480going to be any arguing about artificial intelligence or any of these other matters we are simply going to
00:05:53.640be subject to the phonies on the other side on the other hand we have a major problem and that is that the
00:06:03.480maga movement has already been infected by the scourge of disinformation and i am not trying to be the
00:06:11.320disinformation police in fact i don't want to be uh any sort of hall monitor but we are seeing the effects
00:06:20.600of this already if denver could just throw up image one really quickly and i'm not trying to give trump a hard
00:06:28.520time or anyone who may be running his social media account but we see here a silly maybe ai generated
00:06:37.480maybe photoshopped deepfake of kamala harris with p diddy the notorious sex trafficker but anyone who has
00:06:47.400been following the media knows that is not in fact a picture of kamala with p diddy that was montel
00:06:53.160williams the one-time pimp and so by sharing this i get it it's funny perhaps perhaps he or whoever ran
00:07:03.800his social media account thought it was real but by sharing this we go deeper and deeper into the
00:07:09.880waters of deepfakes not only being in some ways normalized or misconceptions being spread among our
00:07:16.680movement but also the possibility that you now have more justification to bring down the full weight
00:07:25.960of the law not just on deepfakes but and not just on disinformation but on valid information on valid
00:07:33.080dissent and if denver would just throw up image two just to give you one more example
00:07:39.160of big-time phonies here we have kamala harris with jeffrey epstein but of course the real
00:07:46.440photo was not harris with epstein the real photo was harris and her husband so just this is my plea
00:07:56.440to you war room posse remain vigilant keep your wits about you don't spread this and if you see it you
00:08:07.320don't have to be sanctimonious about it you don't have to call people morons like i do don't follow my
00:08:13.480example on that just simply avoid being a moron and hopefully we save the country
00:08:23.080hopefully we have a nation to argue over such issues as to whether or not artificial intelligence
00:08:29.800should be the highest authority of the land to which we shall all bend our knees the answer of
00:08:35.800course is a resounding no from me but speaking of big-time phonies that are not artificially
00:08:43.240generated if denver would just roll the second clip i want to bring in the great johnny vedmore of
00:08:51.400news paste but first let's get a little taste of his subject matter the intellectual dark web founder
00:08:58.840eric weinstein people that are struggling with uh that are almost like a challenge the norms of social
00:09:08.840and political discourse from all different angles right what do you think is the state of the idw what
00:09:15.400do you think is its future is it a protocol is it a collection of people featured in an article what i
00:09:21.400learned very clearly is is that there's a tremendous desire in the internet age to pin people down
00:09:27.000what do you say who's in it yeah what are the criterion i resisted saying who was in it i resisted
00:09:33.000saying what it was it does not appear that we found a way to grow anything organic and good and
00:09:39.960decent that we need right and you know in large measure we didn't represent an institutional base
00:09:47.320and therefore it wasn't maximally important that we look at our own hypocrisy because we weren't on the
00:09:53.240institutional spectrum so when it comes to that issue so let's talk about high skilled immigration
00:09:58.440for a second because we may have a difference of opinion on this i've always been an advocate for
00:10:02.520high skilled immigration you obviously oppose high skilled immigration uh at least in in certain sectors
00:10:07.240what is the the downside of high skilled immigration is it just that people are being promised jobs that
00:10:11.720aren't materializing in the united states or is there a a net detriment to the united states with people
00:10:17.080bringing in high skilled immigrants to to fill jobs in in sectors where they want to lower the price
00:10:23.240i mean first of all i don't even know where to begin um certain amount of high skilled immigration
00:10:28.120has always been present and we do benefit from getting the absolute top talent in the world but
00:10:32.600that's not really what we're looking at what we're looking at is a bunch of systems that depress the
00:10:37.240market so that we lose uh top talent that don't that doesn't choose to go into science and engineering
00:10:43.720but goes into investment banking or management consulting or some other sector because these salaries are so
00:10:50.600low it means that a lot of our technical edge which we use to power our own economy and our own defense
00:10:59.160structure finds its way to the four or five countries in asia which supply us with most of the cryptic labor
00:11:06.120that we call graduate study but is in fact a labor market to staff the lab
00:11:10.920uh there you have it uh some bold words from eric weinstein the man who coined intellectual dark web
00:11:19.960the idw or intellectual dork web uh i want to bring in the buck wild welshman johnny vedmore i've admired
00:11:28.280his work for a long time and he has written many many things he's a news hound like no other he knows how to
00:11:36.840find the root of any story his piece on klaus schwab was a just a landmark piece of journalism
00:11:45.160uh he's got a new piece up at his site news paste on eric weinstein uh johnny tell us what's the title
00:11:53.080of the piece and what is this about is eric weinstein has he had a change of heart since his previous
00:12:01.000position on immigration or is he just squirting squid ink in our faces i think squid ink uh i can
00:12:08.760tell you that the piece is called eric r weinstein's great replacement and that might be a bit tongue in
00:12:15.160cheek for a lot of people you know the idea of the great replacement being a conspiracy theory nowadays
00:12:20.920it's pushed upon people um but it actually has a root an origin and i wasn't expecting to um discover
00:12:29.000what was really going on there or find anything linking uh a nefarious plan of the past but some
00:12:35.480things seemed to align stars seemed to align someone wanted to know about eric weinstein's
00:12:41.320time at the un which i had discovered when actually uh investigating the intellectual dark
00:12:47.000web at the start at the start of the intellectual dark web i found them all very interesting i was a
00:12:51.960big fan of jordan b peterson i think he was a very interesting person you know a lot of his lectures
00:12:57.240especially his bible lectures resonated with me and i enjoyed listening to him very much and the
00:13:02.360various members i was listening to the joe rogan podcast and all of this and brett and eric weinstein
00:13:07.560were extremely interesting to me as part of this unit so i started investigating each part of this unit i
00:13:14.680started looking into ben shapiro the king of whataboutism and um i think eric weinstein is king of about
00:13:21.960facism is a you know he turned a turn around galore i i started to be suspicious that he wasn't being
00:13:29.960completely honest with everything he said i watched nearly everything he was putting out and i started
00:13:35.320to get an idea that oh this guy isn't completely honest and this was about 2019 2020 and i looked
00:13:41.400back and i discovered an old uh archived version of his site which said that he had once worked for the
00:13:47.080un and um and and i found that very interesting you know i thought what was his time working for
00:13:54.440the un like one of the things that triggered me about eric weinstein was the fact that he had mentioned
00:14:00.200that he had um met jeffrey epstein once but i also knew he was part of edge and edge was uh completely
00:14:08.440funded by jeffrey epstein at this point and jeffrey epstein was at nearly every edge conference so that
00:14:13.880also made me doubt that he was quite telling the truth but this this only really uh materialized
00:14:21.160this article i've written for newspaper the um the eric r weinstein's great replacement only really
00:14:26.680materialized yesterday when someone asked me what was he doing at the un and i thought you know i never
00:14:32.840i never actually delved into that because i was too busy with other investigations so i went back
00:14:37.880into the archives and i had a little look around and i i tried to see if i could find anything and i was
00:14:43.400in shock i was completely blown away because his website once upon a time eric weinstein.org
00:14:51.720uh hyphen.org is on um the uh archive the way back machine archive.org and it included a pdf and the pdf
00:15:02.200was a pdf he had written uh as part of a un agenda you see the united nations had the international labor
00:15:10.360organization set up in geneva which had the migrant division and really it was looking at how to bring
00:15:16.840in migrants uh low-skilled migrants not not high-skilled migrants i mean what he was talking
00:15:23.320about there is bringing in the best of the best what we're talking about is him bringing in just
00:15:28.120anybody what we see today the massive amount of people coming across the border and his report for
00:15:33.800the un uh which was this this uh un unit was headed up by manola abella who um he's been involved with
00:15:42.120the world bank world economic forum uh university of oxford always triggers a little bit suspicion for
00:15:47.240me and others and really what it did was it mapped out the road to uh what we see today the borders being
00:15:54.760dropped what would happen when all of these unskilled migrants came flooding across the border and what
00:16:00.200would happen to america and to american uh workforce and how more importantly how the native workers
00:16:08.920would react and how they would be affected and basically he puts forward the agenda of the native
00:16:15.640workers well they will not uh support programs which lower their total incomes so they're not in the
00:16:21.720right anyway they don't know what they're doing so we may as well do this because eventually
00:16:26.280the end game is that their wages will rise and in a sense it's all about redistribution of income
00:16:34.120and redistribution of wealth which sounds a little bit marxist of course um and the the report is
00:16:40.280fascinating i wrote this article and i tried to use as many quotes from the report itself so people
00:16:48.600understand that i'm not just trying to hype a piece up i'm not sensationalizing what was written
00:16:54.600eric weinstein was you know entry he was an important part in developing the un migrant strategy which
00:17:03.880said bring them in bring them across the border it does not matter who they are how skilled they are
00:17:10.680get them in there it will lower the wages of the native workers it will lower uh the the quality of life
00:17:17.560for native workers americans british we're all we're all gaining we've got the same problem at the
00:17:23.800moment our problem is we've got loads of people coming into the countries and there's not enough
00:17:28.520jobs around and everything's being redistributed and lots of people see it as a great replacement
00:17:34.440i've called it more of a a great synthesis they're seeing that they need to synthesize us all together
00:17:40.680partially because they believe that we're all the same when we're not it loses our cultures it loses our
00:17:46.200identities it loses a lot so this article really looks at eric weinstein what he was doing between
00:17:53.3202000 and 2002 for the un and this document which is available to read within the article you can go and
00:18:01.400look at it yourself and it is shocking once i showed people uh this a lot of people's reactions were just
00:18:08.920oh my god what is that that is not what i expected him to be saying and i don't think he's done a u-turn
00:18:17.000i think this is what he really believes in you know it's impossible really to delve into a man's heart
00:18:25.320and and assess his motives but i do think that if he has not owned up to his own role in facilitating and
00:18:35.160recommending this disastrous policy policies which by the way as any war room listener knows the u.n has
00:18:43.880facilitated so much of this and ngo's affiliated with the u.n have facilitated so much of this and
00:18:51.480you look at what uh weinstein was recommending in 2001 2002 versus his his now like he's being elevated
00:19:00.680is this this leader this defender of national borders it really does fit a pattern in the so-called
00:19:07.560intellectual dark web you have you know everyone loves jordan peterson i get it but you know peterson
00:19:15.000went from an advocate for you know a return to religious tradition and a return to gender norms to
00:19:23.400now this kind of school marm who is calling for anonymity to be uh just completely banned on the
00:19:30.360internet so that the trolls that dog him will be brought to justice uh you hear him oftentimes
00:19:36.440now just you know swinging on the jock of elon musk and anything elon musk says um he's going to
00:19:42.920chime in oh that's great uh elon musk we really appreciate your your your input and your leadership
00:19:47.320you know but you know this was a guy who built a career criticizing ray kurzweil and his notion of the
00:19:52.040singularity uh you see the same with like james lindsey one time hardcore atheist uh you know to
00:19:58.600a really astute critic of so-called woke culture uh to now in my view kind of manipulating his christian
00:20:06.360audiences with boogeyman scare words like gnosticism gnostic hegelian marxism uh there seems to be a some
00:20:14.200some cynicism uh behind all this so without necessarily uh imbuing or you know trying to
00:20:21.880read people's minds and say this is what they're thinking just uh real quick as we close out johnny
00:20:27.480how do you see this fitting into the larger sort of intellectual dork web i'm sorry dark web movement
00:20:34.360well i think this is really interesting i think there's a lot of people who went into the uh
00:20:38.520intellectual dark web people like douglas murray as well who like the destabilization of certain
00:20:43.480regions which also fit the agenda of causing migration with jordan b peterson he was like i
00:20:50.120say big i was a big fan and he affected me in very positive ways but when we needed him when we need him
00:20:56.440to say stand up for our own rights for privacy he's not there when we need him to stand up against
00:21:02.200vaccines he's not there at the moments when you need him most he is not there and i've done a long deep
00:21:07.800dive into uh jordan b peterson's um uh family history and yes he talks about his norwegian side
00:21:15.320very much he doesn't talk about the side that's related to kings and queens the biggest kings and
00:21:19.240queens some of them who go back to the the times of the merovingian kings etc so i mean these guys all
00:21:26.360seem to have a little bit of a silver spoon in their mouth somewhat and they're trying to represent the
00:21:31.560everyday man the native worker and they're not doing it what they're doing is pretending and it's
00:21:37.800that pretense is going to like slowly these curtains will fall and that's what's happened with eric r
00:21:43.720weinstein that's what's happened with jordan b peterson that's what happened with douglas murray
00:21:48.360with ben shapiro with many more i think the intellectual dark web as you call them that's a very good name for
00:21:54.440them i think it's a fix-up and i think they're right riding off the back of trends off the back
00:22:00.440of things that are motors and they're doing it on purpose and it's a very clever system to control us
00:22:05.880and to manipulate us and make people think they're on our side when they're not yeah maybe the most
00:22:13.160galling aspect you know you heard that quote with uh leinstein speaking to shapiro you know we're not
00:22:18.440institutional people and knowing how much money how much media support they've had the daily
00:22:24.280wire is not institutional uh give me a break uh johnny so what one more thing about that just one
00:22:31.880more thing you know you don't eric weinstein when you go back further than that un report yes he was
00:22:39.240at harvard but he was also working for the office of naval research the onr and that period of his
00:22:46.680history i'd really like to look into because i think he's got intelligence asset written all over him
00:22:51.800right he is clearly affiliated with teal capital in fact wasn't he uh the the manager of teal capital
00:22:59.560for a long time anyway uh without going down that rabbit hole our time is coming to a close johnny
00:23:05.880where do we find the piece again give us the title tell us where to find it and if there's anything
00:23:10.200that you've got coming up please let us know yeah newspace.com come to news paste um you can also you can
00:23:18.200find it on twitter i try and publish everywhere i have a little sub stack i have a brilliant article
00:23:23.240coming up a really really long in-depth uh one call about the third way uh politics of clinton and
00:23:30.360blair and how it's still ruling the roost uh its creation and how it works i would love people it's
00:23:35.800going to be out in the next week love people to get involved in that too johnny it's an honor to have
00:23:42.040you on i really appreciate it hopefully we can have you again thank you sir god bless pleasure's all mine
00:23:51.320you know the thing that has always appealed to me about populist nationalism the trump movement uh
00:23:57.400the the war room itself is that we are as much as anyone in the media we are a a hub for the voice of
00:24:09.080real people we are representing the kind of spearhead against these institutional forces that have put
00:24:17.000us into these situations and now we find ourselves being led so so called by the people who have put
00:24:26.280us in these situations stay salty war room posse we'll be back in just a moment

00:29:19.640be coming to our money in our bank accounts first think back to 9 11 shortly after the government pushed
00:29:25.960through the patriot act this gave the government power to spy on innocent americans by monitoring our
00:29:31.720phone and email and tracking our movement across the internet now jim rickards editor of the
00:29:37.560independent financial newsletter strategic intelligence and new york times best-selling
00:29:42.120author is warning about a coming event that could elevate this governmental surveillance to a terrifying
00:29:48.120new level in fact some of the guests i've had on the war room believe that the government will soon
00:29:53.240expand their powers to track our every move if we say the wrong things on social media donate to the
00:29:59.880wrong causes buy firearms or even vote maga the government may be able to shut us out of our bank
00:30:06.280accounts i can't say for sure if this will happen but it's an interesting and dire warning fortunately
00:30:13.320jim rickards an american patriot and friend of mine has made it his mission to educate us on
00:30:18.360what he believes is coming and how to protect yourself from the possibility of programmable money watch
00:30:25.880jim's warning video now before it's censored like i've been in the past go to rickardswarroom.com
00:30:33.000that's rickardswarroom.com now to see the video all this nonsense all this spin they can't handle the
00:30:40.920truth war room battleground with stephen k bannon
00:30:44.440welcome back war room part posse we have tj harker coming up uh but before we bring tj in i just want
00:30:56.440to address one more small issue again i'm not trying to be the disinformation police i'm not trying to be
00:31:03.800no fun guy even if that is in my nature but i do think that to some extent when you see something that
00:31:11.160you know is most likely bunk and you have people coming to you pleading with you to tell them is
00:31:18.280this real is this happening to us there's some sense of responsibility i feel to give my opinion on it
00:31:26.120and of course my domain for the last three and a half years here on the war room has been transhumanism
00:31:32.520and of course we know that transhumanists by and large are looking to merge the human body human
00:31:40.360mind with machines we also know that prominent transhumanists like ray kurzweil or william simms
00:31:49.240bainbridge are obsessed with this notion of linking human minds to human to artificial intelligence
00:31:56.520systems by way of nanotechnology nanobots the internet of bodies nano self-assembling nanostructures
00:32:04.920forming in the brain to turn us into cyborgs these are just fantastic dreams or horrific nightmares but
00:32:13.080are they happening is this going on right now if denver would just throw up article one recently
00:32:20.920the researchers the gynecologist young me lee and the basically psyops propaganda specialist
00:32:30.920daniel brody published an article in the international journal uh for vaccine theory
00:32:37.800practice and research and in this article they detail a study that was conducted in south korea in which
00:32:45.880they took the contents of moderna and pfizer vaccines and they allowed some to gestiate they
00:32:55.000they they introduced some into organic material including blood and semen and they electrified it by
00:33:01.800using um electromagnetic frequencies from wi-fi and this is what they came up with the denver would throw up
00:33:09.880image three this is what they found you can see these plate-like structures you can see these helical
00:33:17.640spirals uh you can see all of these little evil looking doodads which has reignited this this conversation around
00:33:28.280what was in the vaccine was it just a a a bunk or failed experiment in mrna technology which of course incorporates
00:33:41.160lipid nanoparticles which are nanotechnology causing horrific injuries that have been covered up
00:33:47.880and causing unknown psychological damage to people who have become in many ways vax addicts or
00:33:56.600are people being turned into walking cyborgs with self-assembling nano circuits connecting their brains and
00:34:03.400bodies to 5g i am not going to say one way or the other which is or is not real but i will simply say
00:34:11.000i do not believe that what we are seeing is the rollout of some sort of high-tech futuristic
00:34:17.480nanotech that is turning people into cyborgs and i'll give you one piece of evidence if denver would
00:34:23.960throw up image four what we see here are cholesterol molecules assembling into very similar structures
00:34:36.600and of course the vaccine contains lipids lipid nanoparticles and so in an article in a response
00:34:45.480in the same journal the international journal for vaccine theory practice and research
00:34:50.120the actual biochemist and ulrich published a response saying no no there are no nanobots in the vaccine what you were seeing is the natural self-assembly of organic molecules it should be noted that and ulrich is very much a vaccine skeptic and ulrich is very much opposed to the current rollout of mrna vaccines and future
00:35:19.960reckless rollouts of such vaccines but it's a big difference to say that these vaccines are
00:35:28.520experimental their rollout is reckless their effects have been horrific and it would be wise to at least
00:35:34.840use caution before taking them and saying that we are all being turned into cyborgs by injections and chemtrails and
00:35:43.160connected to artificial intelligence that doesn't even yet exist by way of 5g towers again i am not
00:35:49.480trying to be the disinformation police i am not trying to be no fun guy and i am not telling you what to believe or what not to believe i'm simply saying this i do not believe
00:36:00.200and as always keep your wits about you keep your eyes peeled your mind open and always question the official narrative just as you should always question the questioners now speaking of official narratives historically the official narrative has been throughout the centuries that british imperialism and british
00:36:26.200british colonialism has been a net positive for the many societies that it has touched because it brought
00:36:32.680industrialization it brought uh democracy it brought the rule of law on the other hand we now have a new
00:36:41.960hegemonic idea that british colonialism has been a net negative for everybody and that the brits are
00:36:47.720awful and should have their countries inundated by immigrants uh as repayment for all the harms that they
00:36:54.600have done from africa to india to oceania coming to us now is tj harker war room audience should be
00:37:03.880well familiar with the great tj harker he has a new article that breaks down the impact of british colonialism
00:37:11.960on the globe he's very detailed it is of course remarkably mathematical leaving me in the dust tj what is
00:37:19.560the title of the article where can we find it and tell us what did you find in your analysis of british
00:37:25.400colonialism and its effect on the rest of the globe yeah thanks for having me joe so the article is
00:37:30.920called the best thing that ever happened and you can find it on my sub stack tj harker.com uh and you
00:37:36.920know it's not too mathematical in fact you can read the entire thing without looking at the math at all
00:37:41.080it's all at the end but the takeaway is this uh the longer if you look at all the british colonies that
00:37:47.240have existed in the world since about 1600 in ireland's case a lot longer than that but from
00:37:52.5201600 to roughly 1960 what you find is that there's a very strong correlation between the amount of time
00:37:59.800that a country was a british colony and its current per capita gdp in fact that correlation is so strong
00:38:06.200it's about 0.67 according to my statistical analysis that uh that's considered very strong
00:38:11.080or right on the cusp of very strong in the social sciences and now the point of this is not not that
00:38:16.600it's particularly interesting to go back and study british history i personally find it interesting
00:38:21.560although it is the case that we've recently had a lot of discussions on twitter about winston
00:38:25.080churchill but it is also the case that for 60 years the left has inundated america and the world
00:38:32.120with this idea that that there should be this thing called white guilt that we have this white privilege
00:38:37.240that white people are responsible for all the atrocities of history and and uh and and you know the one
00:38:42.440thing i pointed out in this article at the beginning was that what all these people point out consistently
00:38:47.880in the case of the british is that they were white while failing to notice that they were civilized and
00:38:52.440so this isn't a racial issue what the takeaway here is that the british brought with them unlike the other
00:38:59.560major colonial powers like spain france to a certain degree belgium portugal etc they brought with them a moral
00:39:06.680obligation to to teach domestic and native peoples in the colonies that they they took charge of
00:39:13.480how to be capable of self-governance now let me stop there for a moment and communicate something
00:39:18.280to your viewers i think it's obvious but it bears reminding americans that the thing that makes you an
00:39:23.640american one of the most important things is a body of ideas and a commitment to that body of ideas
00:39:30.520in particular i would say those those ideas are set forth in an aspirational form in the declaration of
00:39:35.880independence that you know we hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal
00:39:40.520that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights that among them are life liberty
00:39:45.640and the pursuit of happiness and so you know lots of ideas flow from that industriousness thriftiness
00:39:51.560respect for the rule of law protection of property rights this idea that you can improve yourself
00:39:56.840along a variety of dimensions morally uh financially and so forth all of that is a body of ideas and
00:40:03.800it's very similar to the body of ideas that the british brought to the various colonies that they
00:40:08.520were governors of for a long period of time and what's interesting of course for present purposes is
00:40:14.120that the left began to attack british colonialism in the 1950s and 19 in 1940s 1950s and 1960s and
00:40:21.480ultimately uh britain sat or abandoned it's not abandoned but agreed to this sort of public pressure and and
00:40:28.280walked away from governing uh you know more than several dozen of these colonies during that time
00:40:33.000period and what you see is that those colonies that only had a few decades of british colonial rule
00:40:39.240simply were not equipped for self-governance and independence they hadn't yet adopted or adapted the
00:40:44.760body of ideas that makes a people capable of self-governance or or independent reflection that's you know
00:40:50.840necessary for advanced forms of government similar to the same way that we can observe that our children are
00:40:56.040not yet ready to be adults they need 20 years of education in that process before they can become
00:41:00.680adults if they become adults at all uh many people need the same thing in fact you know the correlation
00:41:06.520is quite strong so that if you were if you were a colony of britain for 10 or 20 or 30 years it's very
00:41:12.040likely the case that your gdp today is very low if you are a colony of of great britain for 70 80 150 200
00:41:19.160or 300 years then it's likely the case that your your gdp is much higher today now i'm oversimplifying
00:41:24.760this and i want to make that clear to your listeners uh this is not an extremely detailed
00:41:28.920statistical analysis the point of it is to show that there's a body of ideas that matter and let's
00:41:35.160bring this full circle and talk about the united states of america that body of ideas today is under
00:41:40.840attack in the same way that the radical left attacked uh british colonialism in the 1950s and 1960s
00:41:47.720you know tj i i we've discussed this uh previously and as a redneck i am oftentimes to some extent
00:41:58.600resentful of the imposition of the so-called civilization of which you speak that i i on the
00:42:06.360other hand i think that there has to be a conversation around this we have been for decades just it has been
00:42:15.080drilled into our heads colonialism evil uh the white man evil you would almost call it a conspiracy
00:42:22.360theory that uh these disparate facts that are you know floating in the air are brought to together
00:42:29.160to show that in fact all of the problems of the world can be laid at the feet of the evil civilized
00:42:37.160white man and that the noble savage in fact is the one who truly bears the the moral superiority of
00:42:45.640humanity now again i am quite uh i'm quite amenable to the latter argument in many ways i think that it
00:42:53.080has to be an argument in a conversation but the fact that we're being propagandized in a way that
00:42:59.240right now at this point in history uh sees the noble savage overrunning our borders and being given
00:43:06.280special privileges and taxpayer dollars uh you know to the detriment of the the citizens of our world
00:43:12.920today um i just want to i want to ask you do you see a downside to colonialism are is there any validity
00:43:21.720whatsoever in the critiques of the imposition of british culture or even french german dutch culture
00:43:28.680on the other nations of the world uh or are you are you firmly entrenched in the position
00:43:35.400that the benefits uh so far outweigh the the negatives that there's nothing to even argue
00:43:41.800about yeah that's a good question joe and i'll respond to that and then and then uh make a few
00:43:46.920comments regarding your earlier comments so the first is that there absolutely is you know terrible
00:43:52.120atrocities committed in the name of colonialism and you know if you look at at the belgian colonial empire
00:43:58.120or the spanish colonial empire you know these were extractive colonial empires they were not
00:44:03.720particularly interested in advancing the capability of the local native people for self-governance or
00:44:08.920independence or material prosperity they basically just used them and like there's really just no
00:44:14.840for that that is what people think it is it's bad and the french are kind of an unusual exception uh
00:44:19.640you know today you have countries like algeria you have vietnam south vietnam and vietnam at one
00:44:23.640point that were part of the french empire senegal and others and the french had their sort of own
00:44:28.440take on fraternity equality and liberty that they brought to these colonial empires but none of it
00:44:34.440stacks up to what the british did in the british case the british took it upon themselves to communicate
00:44:40.440the body of ideas that is inside their head now you mentioned this sort of a your sort of aversion to
00:44:46.280what i'll call the aristocratic uh pedantic condescending view and that you know that is sort of how we all
00:44:52.120think about the elite british oxford educated uh you know hobbies or whatever and and that's not
00:44:58.200what i'm referring to exactly what i'm referring to is in the case of the united states of america and
00:45:03.640in the case of any group of people who want to advance themselves is that you must be habituated
00:45:08.920into the various character traits that allow for civilization to flourish and those character traits
00:45:15.240include things like industriousness delayed gratification uh respect for the rule of law
00:45:21.400the capacity to engage in argumentation and effective reasoning the willingness to settle
00:45:27.000disputes with your the people you disagree with especially your countrymen peacefully the willingness
00:45:32.680to be the loyal opposition when you are out of power uh i think whether you are high-born aristocrat
00:45:39.080or low-born as you called yourself a redneck i think i'd probably call you a hillbilly uh maybe
00:45:44.200not hey hey now hey hey yeah i consider that a compliment now that i'm here in east tennessee
00:45:49.560uh but but the point is that any person who wants to raise their own children is teaching
00:45:55.240them their children industriousness delayed gratification hard work honesty integrity
00:46:00.520they're teaching them fundamentally the principles that are set forth in the declaration of independence
00:46:05.160and that are corollaries to those those principles now let me make an additional point here
00:46:11.160people who believe and who hold a firm commitment to the principles of the declaration of independence or
00:46:16.840uh to the principles that the british colonialists tried to instill in in the populations that they
00:46:23.240they governed uh people who hold those views they are very difficult to uh to enslave they're very
00:46:31.720difficult to make docile you can't somebody who's who has a strong commitment to this idea that
00:46:36.840all men are created equal that were endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights and so forth
00:46:41.640they're not the type of person who is easily going to swallow hook line and sinker the slave drone
00:46:46.840ideology of the the woke leftists and and the reason is because the people who accept this view who buy
00:46:53.080into these ideas first of all we call those people americans okay second of all those people want to
00:46:59.880they believe in those ideals because they recognize that it gives them an avenue a framework for moral
00:47:06.040agency for improving themselves and their families and their countries and their communities
00:47:11.080across the scope of time and once you accept the idea that you can improve yourself or your community
00:47:17.000or your country what you are really saying is that i accept that there is such a thing as superior and
00:47:24.680inferior better and worse bad and good uh right and wrong now people who accept those ideas are
00:47:32.360absolutely indomitable they cannot be governed by a totalitarian ideology like a slave drone ideology of
00:47:38.360of woke leftism and i i could give an example of this your your viewers will remember that time when
00:47:44.920president trump referred to um i think it was haiti as a crap hole country he did not use the phrase
00:47:51.880crap hole he used more flowery language but i'll use the phrase crap hole country now you might also recall
00:47:57.320that uh the left absolutely excoriated him for that and they tried to act as though the reason
00:48:03.320that their their multi-month-long excoriation of donald trump for calling haiti a crap hole country
00:48:08.360was because it was unpresidential but that was not the reason they attacked him for so vociferously
00:48:13.560they had other examples of donald trump engaging in you know tweeting or or uh you know personal
00:48:19.480conduct that maybe wasn't as presidential as we would hope but uh this was not that example instead
00:48:25.000they attacked him because the president of the united states when he refers to a country as a crap hole country
00:48:31.480he's marshaling a whole bunch of of underlying premises and one of those premises is that well
00:48:38.680if there's such a thing as a crap hole country then that means there can be such a thing as a superior
00:48:44.040country and lo and behold maybe the united states of america is one of those superior countries and if
00:48:49.960you start thinking that way go ahead if we could we the clock uh the the imperialist civilized clock is
00:48:58.280bearing down on our heads and uh while i may be a redneck i am in fact beholden my parents my my
00:49:05.160my grandparents did teach me to respect if nothing else the structure of the institutions uh in which i
00:49:12.520am so uh tj where can we find the article uh give us the title one more time and uh give us the the link
00:49:20.280to get there yeah you could thanks joe and i apologize for taking up your time you can find it at tj
00:49:25.480harker.com the title is uh the best thing that could ever happen and uh you know as you say say
00:49:31.240stay salty my friends the united states of america is the greatest country on earth uh it is also that
00:49:36.680way because of the ideas that we hold in our heads uh and to your prior guests view if you bring in tens
00:49:43.160of millions of illegal aliens the problem with that whether they're good people or honest people
00:49:47.640or hard-working people is irrelevant the problem is they do not have the same ideas in their heads
00:49:52.280they're not yet prepared for self-governance that's the reason they're trying to come here
00:49:56.120but if we have too many of them then there will be nobody to teach them about self-governance so
00:50:00.440uh these these values are in the declaration of independence and we have many things to be proud
00:50:04.600of in america do not let the left destroy that tj harker thank you very much sir we will see you soon
00:50:12.680that is it war room posse thank you very much for hanging in there uh great thanks to all of our
