Sharia law is on the ballot in Texas on March 3rd, 2020, but what does that mean for the 2020 election? Is this a good thing or a bad thing? What does it mean for 2020 and beyond?
00:04:36.840It was right below the surface, right?
00:04:38.980And you can see with Governor Abbott, you know, designating the Muslim Brotherhood in care.
00:04:43.800You can also see in the pushback, like in Austin this weekend, they came back and, hey, they're going to have a – it's going to be a care city, right?
00:04:53.160They're just up in your grill, but people are coming, and I was on like a three-hour conference today,
00:05:01.620and you had one county chairman after the other coming up and saying, hey, I've got so many constituents coming to me.
00:05:09.260It's the number one issue we have now, and they're coming, and they're sharing personal stories that heretofore they would not mention.
00:05:17.620Now they're open not just to talk about it.
00:05:19.680They want to take action on the 3 March primary for Proposition 10 prohibits Sharia law in Texas, but beyond.
00:05:29.860They want this on the permanent ballot.
00:05:31.400They want hearings in the Texas state legislature Brian Harrison is talking about.
00:05:35.720They want meat on the bone of the terrorist designation for both the Muslim Brotherhood in care, and they want even more legislation on the Sharia situation and the Epic City situation that are out there.
00:06:23.360And I talk to moderate Muslims all the time,
00:06:25.820And I just need to tell them that while they're listening to this, once the jihadists start pushing full-blown Sharia, they will be asked to make a choice.
00:06:37.200Because assimilation is the word, Steve, that we don't see.
00:06:40.500If people are willing to come to America, assimilate to become Americans, we're fine with that.
00:06:56.660They see the harassment that's happening.
00:06:59.200So when they see that, all they need, as you say, is permission to talk about it.
00:07:04.660County chairs, I'm delighted that county chairs are coming to you because they are the people that have their finger on the pulse in each county.
00:07:17.480To talk about your personal journey, because one of the reasons that you brought it up to me,
00:07:22.180we talked about it after that meeting, is that you were seeing things happen in Texas overall, but specifically your district, to the people that you have an obligation and a responsibility to.
00:07:33.860Things are happening that you'd seen in your career of how Islam would go from what was a religion, right, or people practicing the religion to then an ideological control mechanism that you saw.
00:07:46.840And it's one of the reasons the Middle East is in the shape it's in.
00:07:51.100Now, when you talk about colonization, and we hear a lot about that today, Sharia is colonizing much of North Africa, the Middle East we know.
00:07:58.880And they've done that, frankly, in the last 100 years.
00:08:05.000It has taken the moderate Muslim nations, and it's made them into Sharia tyranny strongholds.
00:08:11.780And I started to see that here in the United States, particularly in my district, because of the numbers of mosques, because of the number of ladies that you see in full Sharia garb.
00:08:24.920There's names for all of it, and that's disturbing, because that's what happened.
00:08:30.100When I was stationed in Egypt, in the embassy, the U.S. embassy in Egypt in the 80s, there were very few women that wore full Sharia garb.
00:08:39.920Now, it's rare to see a woman not wearing it.
00:08:45.340That's what we've got to stop, Steve, is the slow encroachment of the civilization jihadists changing our civilization into a Sharia tyranny model.
00:08:56.700We're based on individual rights, individual freedom.
00:11:29.740We need them to be writing about it in their local newspaper, because that's what's going to act.
00:11:34.960When the people act, the legislature follows, the law follows, and we will be successful.
00:11:40.920Colonel, the Texas Tribune says on the March primary in state elections and beyond, I think they're talking about you, at least in part of the beyond, because you're putting together this caucus in Congress.
00:11:57.840You're having a press conference on Monday, which obviously we're going to cover.
00:12:36.920Now, these bills go all the way from taking tax exemption away, declaring care, and Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations.
00:12:45.520My Tehran violence bill against the imams that have fatwas against President Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu has actually passed through the Foreign Affairs Committee.
00:12:55.600I hope to get it to the floor so that we can put terrorist designations on those imams.
00:13:04.800We want to make sure that U.S. courts do not accept any Sharia court judgment.
00:13:09.860So there are seven bills in total that we want to start pushing.
00:13:13.320We want to start saying we need legislation to show our people that we in Congress are serious about this, and we're not only going to talk about it, we're going to have legislation to help stop this movement.
00:13:27.700So 3 February, Chip Roy will be there, I'll be there, Senator Tuberville will be there.
00:13:34.220We'll have as many of the 32 members, and maybe more by then, as many who want to join us.
00:13:40.860And I appreciate you covering it, because this will be the time where we will lay out the case to the American people.
00:13:47.420No, I see the same thing coming at what happened in Texas, because it was boiling right below the surface.
00:14:37.740And this permission structure is everything.
00:14:39.840Because once people start talking about it, I can tell you, I am inundated with people that want to come on.
00:14:45.560And I'm talking about county executives, members of the legislature, grassroots leaders, because they're saying, hey, their phone's getting blown up.
00:14:51.860And they're being overwhelmed now by people that have stories, citizens that have stories.
00:14:56.300And they don't want to be quiet anymore.
00:14:57.540They've been waiting for this, for people to step up and say, hey, we're going to take this thing on.
00:15:53.720The finest single example that we can point to recently in this country is the good citizens in the great state of Oklahoma, actually in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
00:16:09.400We're going to bring in State Senator Dusty Devers.
00:16:12.860Those who live in Broken Arrow and many others all gathered in the auditorium of the Administrative Services Building at Northeastern State University, Broken Arrow, to discuss the proposed Islamic Center that would be located near Olive Avenue, close to the Creek Turnpike.
00:16:27.240We first reported on this project in December, and records showed the land was purchased in 2014 by the North American Islamic Trust.
00:16:35.600Since the announcement, the proposal was drawn both support and opposition from members of the community, with more than 400 people signed up to share their thoughts tonight.
00:16:44.200Many of the concerns were geared towards possible traffic issues, economic discussions, sewer, parking, and the overall uncertainty of what would happen in the building or on the land.
00:16:53.720Others who were here for it reminded the council that those in the meeting that they too call Broken Arrow home and are wanting the second place to worship.
00:17:04.800We are asking for nothing more than what this country promises, the freedom to worship peacefully and to contribute positively to the community we already call home.
00:17:16.160Regardless, religious freedom does not exist, only when it is comfortable or popular, it exists precisely for a moment like this.
00:17:26.580Tonight, it's not just zoning. It is about who we are as a community.
00:17:30.720We respectfully ask the council to affirm the zoning approval and allow this compliant, low-impact place of worship to move forward.
00:17:40.280We are here to be good neighbors, to serve, and to build surroundings that reflect the values.
00:17:45.880Broken Arrow stands for fairness, inclusion, and respect for the rule of law.
00:17:51.580The traffic in Broken Arrow is getting worse with all the ongoing building in the city,
00:17:55.620but where road extensions isn't keeping up.
00:17:59.120This is certainly true on South 129th East Avenue, where the property in question is.
00:18:05.180Five o'clock traffic on South 129th is already frustrating.
00:18:09.500Adding another place of assembly or shopping center means it will only get worse.
00:18:15.040It is a two-lane road that, according to the city's plan, won't be widened for another 10 years, as was mentioned earlier.
00:18:20.840So why would we consider rezoning this commercial or granting a special permit for a place of assembly with no immediate plan to alleviate the extra traffic it would create?
00:18:32.700City leaders acknowledge that while development projects often bring differing opinions,
00:18:37.260they say this proposal has gained a level of attention, unlike previous projects.
00:18:43.040Yeah, and the level of attention ain't because of the traffic, trust me.
00:18:47.980Of course, you see the mainstream media, they're going to let the mosque builders present their interrogation on the First Amendment.
00:20:24.960The working class and middle class folks in this country in places like Broken Arrow or up in McKinney, Texas, or places like this, they get it.
00:20:34.340You don't need to give them a lecture.
00:20:35.600They fully understand what is going on.
00:20:38.640They understand what the issues are, and they understand the details.
00:20:41.520They have educated themselves, where our elites have willful blindness by what's going on.
00:20:49.380What do you – what is that – how does that come about, Senator?
00:20:54.440How are the elites in this country willfully blind, but the middle class and working class in this country,
00:21:00.480many of whom didn't have a chance to go to college or didn't go to graduate school
00:21:04.040or don't have time to read dozens and dozens of books or, like you, had a chance to be educated in this area?
00:21:10.860How is it that the working class people in this country, in a place like Broken Arrow, Oklahoma,
00:21:17.560are more educated about this and prepared to stand their ground where our elites are very wobbly?
00:21:24.720Well, our elites have too much to lose.
00:21:27.500They stand to lose too much from their high and lofty positions there in their white castles,
00:21:33.740while us worker-class plebs are out here doing all the work and establishing the American spirit
00:21:40.200and having it stripped away from us by our so-called elites.
