00:00:00.000 Hello, Malcolm. I'm excited to be speaking with you today because given that people in the UK are sent to jail for inciting racial hatred, the Internet is now truly shocked by a chart that The Economist used, where they used Ministry of Justice data standardized for age and sex to show that Afghan nationals are at roughly 7x the British conviction rate for sexual offenses.
00:00:22.580 And they also showed that Middle East and North Africa at 3.6 times,
00:00:26.980 Sub-Saharan Africa at 2.5 times, with the EU and East Asian groups being below the baseline.
00:00:32.500 This is the graph that I found on their article.
00:00:36.120 And you can see it doesn't look good.
00:00:41.000 Oh, my.
00:00:42.640 Five exits around 10x3.
00:00:44.660 Oh, my gosh.
00:00:45.720 So Cremieux wrote on X, I'm shocked that The Economist was willing to publish this.
00:00:50.800 And then Andrews K. Berzins noted that the Economist article this chart comes from tries to play down the discrepancy, but the data shown on a linear rather than log scale, as in the original article, is alarming indeed.
00:01:05.260 The Economist's conclusion that in absolute terms, the difference in sex crimes is not alarming, hides the fact that migration is a real issue and there is a clear impact.
00:01:13.780 Yeah, this is a long scale.
00:01:15.800 Do you have the, yeah, hold on.
00:01:16.980 Yeah, so here, this was the, this was what I got in the article today.
00:01:20.540 I, I, I like literally created an account on The Economist to see what today's graph was.
00:01:25.640 Whereas when you look at the original graph that they posted, it, you could see why they changed it.
00:01:34.160 It looks a little more alarming.
00:01:36.640 Um, the, the, those, the, so what you're looking at, aside from the little bars, which is sort of the center point.
00:01:42.340 so when you look at the original chart you can see how much more alarming it looks
00:01:46.500 oh buddy yeah um and you know a couple people also came in um guru anaerobic show the data
00:01:55.760 also in a different way which doesn't look good let me show you this kind of there's no way to
00:02:01.900 slice it that looks well although commenting on that a guy named alex noted quote british
00:02:07.720 nationals is doing some heavy work on its own already. And that's a fair point because they're
00:02:13.240 talking about nationals from other nations within the UK. And British nationals are a very diverse
00:02:19.400 group as it is. So this is probably the most flattering graph that you can see in terms of
00:02:25.540 who's responsible for different crimes. I have to give a little shout out though to Brian Chow,
00:02:33.960 who swung in to correct the scale
00:02:36.820 after The Economist gave their much more tame version.
00:02:40.860 Brian Chow fixed it for them,
00:02:42.920 swapping in graphs of rotund men
00:02:48.600 to show the scale of the crime. 0.55
00:02:51.820 Though African farmer on X noted, quote, 0.98
00:02:54.200 he should have used dicks instead of fatties. 1.00
00:02:56.020 And I'm inclined to agree, but Brian keeps it. 1.00
00:03:00.080 Brian Chow is such a troll. 0.68
00:03:01.980 I love that he's going well. 0.89
00:03:03.640 Lin Chow is a delightful person.
00:03:06.720 But this actually is a pretty serious thing.
00:03:09.820 I mean, because genuinely in the UK, it is dangerous to say things that could be argued to incite racial hatred.
00:03:16.520 Yeah, like the guy was arrested for writing Islam can be questioned on his own house.
00:03:20.420 Yeah, and a woman named Lucy Connolly recently received a 31-month prison sentence in October of 2024 after pleading guilty to inciting racial hatred.
00:03:28.920 her post called for mass deportation and said, quote, set fire to all the effing hotels full of 0.99
00:03:34.740 the bastards for all I care. This was, you know, obviously a little bit more incendiary than what 0.99
00:03:40.040 the economist is saying, but we're going to read the article. It kind of leads me to feel the same
00:03:43.700 way. So I don't know. Also, a guy named Tyler Kay received a 38 month sentence in August of 2024
00:03:48.980 from X post repeating that call to burn housing asylum seekers. And the judges published sentencing 0.95
00:03:55.160 remarks. And they haven't done it once yet. All of these people, the immigrants will kill and
00:03:59.760 rape you, but you can't believe people. I know. That's what it is. But so after people saw these 1.00
00:04:06.240 UK stats posted by The Economist, some other people decided to look outside the UK. One guy
00:04:12.420 named Martin Vandenberg looked at the stats for Denmark, Norway, and the Netherlands, which is
00:04:18.160 also not not very flattering so here's denmark um and you gotta sorry it's it's still in um
00:04:26.580 not english but if you have um basically meet in austin and north africa um not looking good by
00:04:33.960 the way if you ever need something like this translated you can just use the rfab api or
00:04:38.200 dump it into the rfab comic translator and it will translate this i really like saying
00:04:41.800 how disproportional i like the other language sorry but also if you see african and sub-saharan
00:04:49.980 africa yeah or even worse than afghanistan yeah afghanistan is actually in third um followed by
00:04:56.440 okay i don't know what but also turkey after that um wait you don't know what that is so the first
00:05:04.080 is a middle eastern and north africa no i know but what what is oh i don't know yeah i don't know
00:05:09.100 that as and then it's turkish yeah then it's turkey turkey a as they as they insist on having
00:05:14.320 it be called now um which is delightful the lowest is america yeah what's up with that it
00:05:19.900 looks like americans going to denmark are we're on our best behavior when we go to denmark we put 0.97
00:05:25.040 on our sunday anyone and let's look at norway um it's not that hard to resist raping people 0.84
00:05:31.200 in norway it's syria and afghanistan look like they're basically tied followed by iraq then
00:05:36.160 pakistan also a note on pakistan is one guy on x who had a very clearly indian username uh was like
00:05:44.140 yeah i really disagree with the economist graph here because they're just throwing in um all
00:05:51.220 pakistanis with uh south asians and he was he found that very offensive and i can kind of
00:05:57.980 understand if like actually pakistanis and indian i wouldn't want to be judged by what pakistanis
00:06:03.000 are doing. Truly. Yeah. You'd be really mad because also it appears to be that there are 0.51
00:06:06.920 very many like Pakistan nationals, Pakistani nationals in the UK responsible for things. 1.00
00:06:13.640 I would be mad. I would be mad too. Well, it's not just Pakistani nationals. I've heard it's 1.00
00:06:17.340 like one sub-region of Pakistan. Yeah. Yes. I've heard that too. I've heard that too.
00:06:21.760 We should probably do an episode on that. Maybe. Yeah. What's, what is going on with
00:06:25.100 this one bad neighborhood of the world? But so let's see after, so it goes Assyria in, 0.99
00:06:30.140 in uh norway syria afghanistan iraq pakistan somalia iran eritrea and then probably just 0.63
00:06:38.400 norwegian people and then eu people north america and people from oceania followed by they grope us
00:06:45.680 in with the north the oceania i know those those australian ex-convicts what are you what are you 0.57
00:06:50.560 doing now i'm offended just like the indian nationals um and then finally we have the 0.99
00:06:56.500 netherlands um who's who is the best and worst in in the netherlands we have the worst defenders 0.74
00:07:01.960 being who is out raping the opponent well it's weird because i i think their data's off because
00:07:09.180 it starts with like i think until in in aruba aruba like is that the caribbean um then surinam
00:07:17.120 which is also south america morocco um which i guess would fall into north africa and the other
00:07:22.660 photographs. I'll, I'll figure out what this first word is here. Yeah. Antillen and Aruba and
00:07:29.200 and Aruba is the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Okay. Oh, so it's like some, some, uh, colony
00:07:39.680 that they use some colony. Okay. So they, they would, I guess have a ton of overlap and they,
00:07:43.940 they apparently are, um, exacting the reparations in the form of sexual violence. Um, I suppose.
00:07:50.260 and um turkey is is the second to last and then i guess oh basically western countries is the least
00:07:58.680 bad so so again consistent across countries it's not yet a really really bad look and it's funny
00:08:05.480 that this is all coming out it's i think the most stark thing is that this is coming out by the
00:08:09.040 economist so i'm going to read i'm going to read some of the article to you to get your take what
00:08:15.200 the economist is willing to say on this issue because i'm disappointed that they changed their
00:08:18.660 Yeah. The most famous thing The Economist most recently did was have their editor interview Elon Musk in a very antagonistic way. You know, this is not they're not known as like the based publication. So this was very well. You know what we got from the Department of Education is a Malfoy to me. I know that you shared with me, which I was very proud of.
00:08:39.760 epic this is an administration this is our government yeah it truly i'm thrilled
00:08:46.100 this is the best timeline and apparently yeah the economist is coming over so
00:08:50.980 they write in this article titled do immigrants from some countries commit more sex crimes like
00:08:55.920 they're just coming out right right from the bat with the title right they're not they're not like
00:09:00.960 the funny thing is if you're paying remote attention you're just like obviously yes
00:09:06.440 I know, but the thing is like, and we're going to get to this in the final portion of this podcast, but like our understanding was that you, yes, we can all know this, but if you talk about it on, on, online, it's illegal and you have to get arrested.
00:09:23.600 Illegal in the UK.
00:09:25.320 It's illegal.
00:09:25.840 Is the economist based in the UK?
00:09:27.340 Yes.
00:09:29.420 And so that the economist is saying this is very shocking to me.
00:09:33.440 but anyway they write in bristol last november three men and a 17 year old boy all afghans
00:09:39.280 gang raped a 17 year old girl over several hours beforehand they had groomed her on snapchat and
00:09:44.760 plied her with alcohol afterwards they fled in france to france in a lorry the french authorities
00:09:50.260 returned to them to britain where they were convicted and on october 6th sentenced to long
00:09:54.820 jail terms in court the girl described how quote listening to it all again from the lawyers kept
00:10:00.280 to me reliving everything that happened to me um just as a note by the way this is something else
00:10:04.520 that came up in the commentary at least they're jailing them now there was the case in um what
00:10:09.520 was it for france where the girl was somewhere in germany i think it was an underage girl was
00:10:16.640 gang-graped by uh immigrants and well by underage children um like 13 and 14 she was underage too
00:10:23.780 i know i know but like they again there is a reason why afghan and iraqi and mexican cartels
00:10:31.000 are recruiting minors on fortnight and whatsapp because it's not how the law that's not how our
00:10:38.820 legal systems work they're not tried as adults and well they should have been tried you can be
00:10:43.020 changed the law but the law doesn't work no like a law allows you to try a child as an adult are
00:10:48.740 you not aware of this it's a famous thing it's extremely unusual uh i think it's it's very
00:10:54.100 sharing a rape on on signal is it warrants it i know i look i get it i get it so the place where
00:11:03.040 this happened was belgium and i decided to look up whether it would have been difficult to try
00:11:08.420 them for more and no it would have been completely trivial simone is just super off on this uh they
00:11:13.240 just intentionally decided to let them off without sentences or at least sentences that involved
00:11:19.180 prison but anyway what people were pointing out though as to your point on x is that again this
00:11:26.340 is a graph of conviction rates this is not a graph of actual crimes and as you point out many of
00:11:33.520 these things are just not even reported anymore sometimes they're not even logged as such anymore
00:11:38.500 I mean, think about how much it took to actually get Andrew Tate in jail after so many women coming to the police reporting things that he was doing. Right.
00:11:46.960 So I think that it's important to just note that that conviction rates are kind of just the tip of the iceberg, probably when it comes to things like that.
00:11:56.080 Anyway, continuing from the article. Is that true? The government does not publish crime rates by
00:12:01.500 immigration status. The limited data it does release are raw counts of offenses by those
00:12:06.120 of each nationality from a countrywide police database. The 20 times claim was based on there
00:12:11.700 being 13,000 Afghans in Britain, an estimate from the Office of National Statistics annual
00:12:16.660 population survey. The figure is unreliable, however, having been extrapolated from a sample
00:12:21.560 of fewer than 60 individuals. In 2021, the ONS stopped publishing this population estimate
00:12:27.440 owing to plummeting survey response rates. Oh, I'm sure that's why. I'm sure that's why.
00:12:34.160 Yeah, for the same reason why they blocked so many people from being able to do genetic analysis
00:12:38.180 using UK Biobank, because they found that there was this really odd, small population that had
00:12:43.000 really high rates of incest. Whatever, though, we're not going there right now.
00:12:47.540 No, specifically father-daughter incest. It was really high rates of incest.
00:12:50.900 The Economist analyses suggest that the 20 times claim is a wild exaggeration, but our numbers are hardly reassuring.
00:12:59.240 The Migration Observatory, a think tank based at Oxford University, obtained figures through Freedom of Information requests to the Ministry of Justice.
00:13:07.680 These count cautions and convictions in England and Wales, split by offenders nationality between 2010 and 2024.
00:13:18.240 Again, reminder, this means that if you are nationalized as a UK citizen, you're going to fall into that category, which is like the base rate.
00:13:27.000 So these are just people who have not been nationalized yet who are being broken out in the graph that you saw.
00:13:31.480 Anyway, the data detail 8 million crimes, of which 106,000 are sex offenses ranging from rape to consensual sex in public.
00:13:40.420 The police recounting of offenders' nationality is messy, but we found our four-fifths of sex crimes were committed by British people.
00:13:48.000 Just 0.39 percent, or 409 offenses over the 15-year period, were committed by people who said they were Afghan.
00:13:56.240 Whether 409 crimes is a lot or a little depends on how many Afghans are in the country.
00:14:00.580 In March 2021, the last census reported 14,300 Afghan passport holders living in England and Wales,
00:14:06.520 and another 7,100 without a passport who said they were Afghan, a total population of 21,400.
00:14:13.000 The census is just a snapshot in time. Since 2021, some 3 million people have settled in Britain,
00:14:18.040 and the foreign-born population has risen from 16% to 19% of the total. After the Taliban seized
00:14:25.180 Kabul in August 2021, some 38,000 Afghans flocked to Britain over the following year and a half.
00:14:31.040 accounting for i also want to point something out about these graphs um is the groups you don't see
00:14:38.480 on them you know how we talk about like you have good immigrant groups and bad immigrant groups
00:14:42.540 did you notice iranians weren't on any of them yeah that's true so i decided to look this up
00:14:50.200 and if you look at the average rate of grapes per 10 000 for afghans it's 59 eritreans it's 54
00:14:59.860 iraqis 25 iranians 18 britain's 2.66 so it's still well above britain's but about as below
00:15:10.920 afghans and eritreans as it is above britain's i mean despite having well they would fall into
00:15:16.280 the middle east and north africa but middle east and north africa is a crazy but some of them broke
00:15:20.620 out countries um yeah and so like we've we've in the past said like iranians really aren't like 0.98
00:15:26.580 persian iranians at least aren't that bad of an immigrant group yeah they're very different they're
00:15:30.340 very different yeah um in fact i think that the the there's a different video that someone else 1.00
00:15:35.780 sorry there's there is a different the graph that someone else created i think using the same data
00:15:40.200 and posted on x that shows british nationals i think is better yeah again british nationals is
00:15:45.220 a very diverse set but they're the gray bar on this graph as you can see but there was a a poll
00:15:52.040 done sexual offense charges versus convictions uh have been shown in london about 40 are done
00:16:01.420 by foreign nationals great well great yeah do you want me to just let this sit here for reference
00:16:07.720 while i go over more of the article well no you can close it i think i think our audience has the
00:16:12.820 idea a bad it it very bad um anyway accounting for those who later left and those who became
00:16:19.500 citizens, we estimate that the Afghan population of England and Wales has doubled to 45,000 by
00:16:24.560 the end of 2022. To capture more than the snapshot, we analyzed convictions during a three-year period,
00:16:29.920 2020 to 2022, and averaged our population estimate over the three years. We then standardized our
00:16:36.420 estimate to account for age and sex. Men commit 98% of sex crimes, for example, and Afghans are 1.00
00:16:42.740 about 10 years younger than the population at large. This suggested Afghans are convicted of 0.52
00:16:47.280 sex crimes at seven times the british rate a far cry from mr timothy's over 20 times but disturbing
00:16:53.480 nevertheless see chart our number is still uncertain it may be skewed by a few serial
00:16:59.000 offenders by quirks and reporting and detection rates for such crimes evidence from other countries
00:17:03.940 including different methods suggests this may not be solely a british problem i love all of
00:17:09.380 the hedging here i know you can see you can see they're trying if you're seeing it in every country
00:17:14.660 then stop taking them well that's happening and that's actually something that came up when we
00:17:21.620 interviewed ace at which is he was like look at this rate you cannot get into europe um unless
00:17:29.480 you have a ton of money and you know all this sort of spotless reputation and i mean god help you if
00:17:34.380 you're actually trying to come from iran right um so it's very annoying to me because really great 0.99
00:17:40.280 people like him no i'm totally okay with that you there's no rule you can make that's gonna let him
00:17:46.400 in and not there's plenty of other countries in the world that he could go to south america for
00:17:51.600 example has some great countries that's true india's fine i think he would he would probably
00:17:56.380 yeah he could really do quite well in many south american countries and we love to living in peru
00:18:02.720 anyway uh i didn't like the water being shut off but he'd be used to that with iran like it feels 0.96
00:18:08.460 like home um oh man anyway um the main group of the worst crimes like raping like killing people 0.93
00:18:17.540 the main category are syrians and afghans alice weedle leader of germany's populist alternative
00:18:22.160 for germany party told the economist in austria denmark finland germany and sweden immigrants from
00:18:27.140 the middle east north africa central asia and the horn of africa are overrepresented among suspects
00:18:31.740 and convicts especially for sex crimes where age standardized analyses exist for those countries
00:18:37.480 the over-representation shrinks, as in Britain, but it does not vanish. Looking at convictions
00:18:43.400 by ethnicity rather than by nationality is more reassuring. The Ministry of Justice produces
00:18:47.900 detailed data on prosecutions and convictions by age, sex, and ethnicity. We used these to repeat 0.99
00:18:53.600 our age-standardized analysis for the same 20 to 2022 window. We find that men of Pakistani 0.99
00:18:59.240 ethnicity, as well as other Asians and non-Black minority men, are convicted of sex offenses at
00:19:05.060 similar rates to white british men you know what i think it's calling this simone yeah i think it's
00:19:09.820 bigotry against these people is why they're being convicted at such high rates well anyway they took
00:19:15.120 down this conviction graph that they just referred to in the article i couldn't find it the original
00:19:18.680 article i had to find it from someone posting it on x but this shows the conviction rates i wonder
00:19:23.640 what happened somebody like reached out to them and was like you have to take this down you have
00:19:27.580 yeah there's something really sus going on with this article and that they swapped out the original
00:19:32.540 graph, which looked a little more stark for a weirdly compressed one. And then they also
00:19:38.120 took this one just totally away in terms of showing the conviction rates. And it's kind of
00:19:45.720 weird. It's kind of weird. But I think that's part of what we'll discuss that in a little,
00:19:49.160 like sort of we'll discuss the why did The Economist publish this and also the blowback
00:19:53.000 after it when I finish reading because I'm almost done here. Ben Brindle of the Migration
00:19:58.720 Observatory notes that many migrants will have witnessed violence or come from poor backgrounds.
00:20:03.540 This drives criminality and being socially isolated and jobless in Britain doesn't help. 0.91
00:20:07.780 Just as large differences in conviction rates exist among British citizens, they will be present
00:20:12.560 across different nationalities too, he says. And the numbers need to be kept in perspective.
00:20:17.880 In 2010 to 2012, Afghan nationals were convicted of 92 sex crimes in 2022 to 2024. The total was
00:20:25.060 102 10 additional additional sex crimes and after the afghan population has roughly tripled is not
00:20:31.400 an epidemic editors note october 26 2026 this article has been changed to clarify the wording
00:20:37.540 on sex offenses by ethnicity oh i bet it has they didn't note though and this is what confuses me
00:20:44.280 because as i looked at all the x commentary there's all these additional graphs that were
00:20:48.840 allegedly there and that appear to be referenced in the article but they don't talk about those
00:20:53.340 being removed in in the economist article which again i'm not looking at an archived version i
00:20:59.580 went and i created an economist account to check this so i was very confused anyway economist went
00:21:04.980 to base went back and then scrubbed it i know well and that's the thing so in response to this
00:21:10.200 getting a bunch of traction on x lyman stone um who loves to sort of be a little bit contrary on
00:21:16.360 x we love him very much but he loves being contrary and so we know that's his thing
00:21:20.140 he posted the uh like he quote tweeted the article saying online right uh basically like
00:21:26.480 quote mainstream publications can never show these forbidden facts the economist shows the
00:21:32.260 forbidden facts online right but you didn't design it to be the absolute most racist graph we could
00:21:37.940 imagine the most racist this is what i talk about he's not really a friend of the right wing i love
00:21:44.020 that he pretends to be like right wing in some respect we're friends with him we're friends with
00:21:47.080 we like him he's our friend but hold on but this is that's a that's an intentionally disingenuous
00:21:52.200 statement well but when so so that's but that's no but hold on no Simone that that statement is
00:21:57.440 factually incorrect and disingenuous they he he's joking like the right wing is wrong that it would
00:22:05.360 never be published it gets published and then taken down no that's that's a delicious irony
00:22:11.000 i don't know where in the timeline he posted this i don't know if he posted it before or after the
00:22:19.360 more offensive version was taken down but i feel like his post is the perfect pairing to my guess
00:22:25.760 because the first part shows that he thought he was being very smart but then the people he was
00:22:32.740 making fun of were proven right and then he gets mad because they were proven right and he's like
00:22:39.640 it needs to be the most racist graph possible as a joke right like oh you're mad that the grass
00:22:45.540 it needs to be accurate and the new graph is not accurate they removed the data that used to be
00:22:52.500 there and then they twisted data that's there if you're putting together something for a client
00:22:58.700 and you twist data i mean i hope you wouldn't do that like it's intentionally there are times
00:23:04.260 would it make sense to do a logarithmic graph okay yeah absolutely in statistics there are times
00:23:10.680 this is not one of those times this is not one of those times okay this is where you would do
00:23:17.480 a linear graph because it genuinely is just that much worse you when you do a logarithmic graph
00:23:23.980 you're basically saying oh it's only natural that they're this much more of a rapist right like it's
00:23:28.700 not like a it really does yeah so like here's the the revised one and it's like oh yeah it looks a
00:23:35.180 little it looks a little different and then yeah when you compare that to the original it really 0.79
00:23:42.080 does look so much more alarming being attacked by a scottish man you wild scotsman you are making up 0.73
00:23:55.220 for that baseline right classic yeah he's absolutely he's going for it what i think 0.98
00:24:05.560 is most interesting here is that one why did the economist like are we moving the overton
00:24:12.600 window is that what's happening here where this is default state oh you farted go back 0.79
00:24:18.220 to your ipad or i'm taking it away go back to your mud puppy buddy you fartering you 0.99
00:24:23.760 he just came here to fart on me he just came here to fart on me 1.00
00:24:26.520 i feel like there is this is what they do oh great welcome to my days 0.96
00:24:35.160 all the time this is homeschooling for us we give them we let them battle it
00:24:42.320 you should have seen the doctor's office
00:24:45.280 dot ai backslash os yeah actually um for the uh the homeschooling system we built for them
00:24:53.120 yeah no but i i feel like something must be moving with the overton window where the
00:24:57.980 economist is trying to normalize like oh no we've always we've always been somewhat concerned about
00:25:01.900 this yeah we've always talked about these sorts of issues exactly it's becoming serious enough
00:25:06.940 where i think everyone is now admitting it in fact you can even see um most i would say probably
00:25:12.960 most progressive candidates in the UK are tell them daddy's gonna come in if they don't leave
00:25:22.520 okay daddy's gonna come in and bop you can't leave oh that worked most even now progressive
00:25:29.720 politicians in the UK I was sorry in Europe and the UK are basically being like yeah I mean we
00:25:35.180 need to control immigration we need to slow down what's going on we need to take care of our own
00:25:39.740 which would have been seen as a far right stance in the recent past so i do really feel like we've 0.97
00:25:45.980 hit some kind of tipping point where now even the most progressive are saying oh oh like pump the
00:25:51.920 brakes no we always knew this was a problem and i think it's similar to the way leading into the
00:25:57.120 midterm elections in the united states right now um a lot of republicans only because they have no
00:26:02.060 choice or like oh yeah maybe we need to slow down with like data centers because americans are so
00:26:07.920 brainwashed about how bad they are um i think that there's just a similar sort of we have to
00:26:13.400 capitulate to the the mainstream sentiment on on this issue with immigration with of course the
00:26:20.580 big difference being that data centers actually aren't that damaging as far as i can tell and um
00:26:25.460 immigration appears to genuinely be that that damage that damaging yeah yeah i still found it
00:26:30.840 very interesting it was super fun to see to see the economist of all outlets um release this
00:26:36.360 information and just people could be like wait did they do that did they just do that uh so i uh
00:26:44.260 are we winning the culture war i think yeah if the department of education posting malfoid memes
00:26:50.460 and the economist is posting like immigrants committing worse sex crime graphs like something 0.57
00:26:57.420 is happening um i don't want these i don't want the immigrant reality to be true to be fair i
00:27:02.400 don't want anyone to be committing sex crimes for the record i don't i kind of don't you want
00:27:08.980 that on the record like i feel like the documentary teams and the news crews who come to interview us
00:27:13.280 are going to be like oh i see you're promoting anti-immigrant racist hatred by saying that
00:27:17.980 they're all rapists and i would be great if they weren't all rapists i know like i would really 0.90
00:27:23.020 prefer that these people didn't do this but also they do and it's really interesting when left 0.96
00:27:30.960 leading outlets admit that they do especially left leading outlets in countries where people
00:27:36.880 go to jail for saying that they do so interesting stuff interesting stuff i love you very much i'm
00:27:44.300 making you steak and fries tonight and um you want it to be steak diane where i just uh saute
00:27:49.740 the sauce and put it over it again no no we do the sauce on the side just okay sauce on the side
00:27:54.540 sauce on side with extra oil that tells me where to cut trying to where the fat is and stuff um
00:28:00.640 If you do the sauce on top of it, I can't see the steak.
00:28:03.280 Sauce on side.
00:28:04.720 And I am looking at getting for my room, now that it's clean.
00:28:10.080 Now that I have a clean room.
00:28:11.780 Look at this.
00:28:12.380 Look at this.
00:28:13.640 Look at my crazy setup.
00:28:15.500 What a room.
00:28:16.060 It was my new fancy bed.
00:28:18.500 I was looking at getting some wooden chests for the room instead of the...
00:28:24.580 Oh, no, we can't because kids die in those.
00:28:27.980 They think that they're hiding places. 1.00
00:28:28.980 The ones with locks, you psycho.
00:28:32.240 Well, no, I would want locks on them 0.95
00:28:33.760 so that you always have them locked
00:28:34.820 so the kids can't get inside and die.
00:28:36.860 No, the way that kids die in them is the locks.
00:28:40.720 Oh, you mean latches?
00:28:42.560 Yes.
00:28:43.240 Okay, sure.
00:28:44.840 Sure.
00:28:46.640 And so, oh, actually,
00:28:47.540 I could show you some that I'm looking at
00:28:49.260 and you could let me know what your thoughts are.
00:28:50.860 Because I want to try a new feature
00:28:52.120 that I built for this anyway, okay?
00:28:53.940 It's now the Shop with Malcolm portion of Basecamp.
00:28:56.580 We're shopping with Malcolm.
00:28:57.900 he's shopping online i'm trying to upgrade we're gonna find out yeah it's gonna be this it's can
00:29:04.420 you see it yeah what do you think wow it's only 16.67 for six months and i cannot understand
00:29:11.300 why not pay later wow that's a lot of five-star reviews or here this one forestry practices
00:29:17.680 better it's a little cheaper oh no it's only 39 inches and i want something larger than that
00:29:23.500 47 inches what i'm looking for are the real big ones and this one's um 51 inches you know the
00:29:33.240 children are going to hide in that and then they're going to put heavy things on top of it
00:29:36.480 when they realize that one of their siblings is hiding inside it and that sibling is not going to
00:29:39.840 be able to get out they're going to scream and have a panic attack i will know where it's in my
00:29:45.180 room chill out okay what then there's this one slightly larger i guess i'll take a look but yeah
00:29:50.760 i think i'm gonna get two for to replace i still have these big plastic bins in my room
00:29:56.360 which is how i handle all my clothing it would be more sightly to have a lidded and then the
00:30:04.560 mice can't crawl in there and poop which is an added benefit yeah what if like an adult i well
00:30:09.560 it got a toy box for my clothing oh look yeah no malcolm has always used pile-based logic
00:30:16.380 instead of sky logic which is to say hanging his clothes um so i kind of like the idea of a chest
00:30:24.100 it's it's very it's very harry potter um it's very it's very malfoid it's very good malfoid
00:30:30.440 on brand gotta gotta replace all that i've replaced my janky bed i'm gonna replace all
00:30:35.480 my janky things with real things i'm a real boy now well now we're making money i will never forget
00:30:42.560 But there's, I think it was like a very close to the time when you proposed to me and we were still dating ish. It was like early days. And you, I think your parents gave you as a gift, a really fancy hotel in Ghirardelli square, right? The, the Fairmont Ghirardelli.
00:31:00.700 yeah and they booked us a suite and you're like simone i'm gonna treat you to this romantic
00:31:07.300 weekend and we we drive over and i get out of the the car with my little my little suitcase and i'm
00:31:14.380 like oh this is so exciting and you get out of the car and you had packed all of your clothes
00:31:20.320 in a black plastic trash bag i had not packed i had put them in it it was cheap and it was there
00:31:29.160 you walk in to the fair martin gilidelli where this like what was probably like two thousand
00:31:36.760 dollars a night hotel room and they're like hello sir would you would you like to have a ball 0.54
00:31:45.880 would you like some assistance with your luggage i got it the trash man has arrived
00:31:54.120 and you have the most lovely luggage you know you've osprey luggage you know before it became
00:32:00.700 uh uh you know a rich kid thing or maybe i i guess during the period at which it was a rich
00:32:06.320 kid thing and i love you and now look my you're you're growing up it's uh by the way one of the
00:32:12.600 new features on rfab i haven't talked much about but i'm quite excited about you can now buy
00:32:16.300 physical products on rfab um uh we use a couple apis from this so the last for a pretty big
00:32:22.020 diversity of products from mouse pads to puzzles to wall clings um i'm still testing it right now
00:32:28.380 so i don't like i can't say quality yet until i get the first one um but like presumably it works
00:32:34.600 if you find any problem the one poster quality we've really liked so far is i hate to say it but
00:32:39.380 cvs yeah if you want to print just posters to put in frames in your house from things you've made on
00:32:45.800 rfab cvs is the way to go like i don't know when you're going to publish this is kind of times i
00:32:49.920 hope you publish this one soon they have a 60% off promo i am not shilling cbs but i am shilling
00:32:55.120 cbs because they have a 60% off promo for their posters oh did you get the three final posters
00:32:59.780 yeah also it's 60% off again and i was like oh this is amazing because they're not oh are they
00:33:04.320 ready for pickup i don't they got delayed so they're not ready yet the other ones are ready
00:33:08.520 in an hour um toasty i see you no he's naughty sausage anyway love you and guys please keep
00:33:18.080 using our fab that's why i've been able to afford all of this stuff oh my gosh john is outside in
00:33:23.100 his tractor with his his jack with jackson who's two years old it's really cute hold on let's see
00:33:27.760 if i can get this on camera it's really cute you see jackson on his lap there yeah isn't that cute
00:33:34.540 the kids the kids around our house live the best all right guys what do you want to say to
00:33:40.060 the base campers what do you want to say he wants to say help help me is what he wants to say
00:33:47.780 what would you like to say okay octavian let torsten say his piece and then you get to say
00:33:56.380 your piece what do you want to say today it's gonna be howling in five days or is it um four
00:34:05.340 days yeah i think it's four days no it's fine okay octavian what do you want to say to the
00:34:11.540 base campers we say our kids love fighting that's our culture fight fight fight yeah it's uh this
00:34:21.700 is this is just all day every day just you should i actually have some video of the doctor's office
00:34:28.200 titan is just repeatedly kicking octavian in the head like the doctors just came in and i like i
00:34:33.620 could see they just like wanted to walk right out of the room um they're just like nope i'll tell
00:34:39.340 what backwood kids are built different as i've said like a lot of our friends are orthodox
00:34:43.180 students whenever our kids play with them it's always like whoa like i need to pry them off i'm 0.90
00:34:47.900 like these these people don't fight all day that's not how they show play with their friends
00:34:55.580 this is why they they cannot mix with the normals anyway very much i'll let you know when steak's
00:35:03.180 ready oh you're taking out the milk don't let the gripers no my soy milk
00:35:09.940 you know what i'm showing off here and this is why it's so funny that the gripers are making
00:35:16.860 fun of me for having milk the vast minority of humans can process milk this is showing off my
00:35:23.280 european heritage because i am fully european so as an adult i can process milk because i'm 0.98
00:35:31.900 descended from hurting people what are you disgusting farmers from the middle east or 0.99
00:35:39.240 something disgusting asian farmers well it's it's actually it's it's now well understood that 0.99
00:35:46.020 as long as you have a gut microbiome capable of processing lactose you can tolerate it so anyone 1.00
00:35:51.560 can make themselves lactose tolerant as long as they're willing to undergo the two weeks of
00:35:56.320 extremely painful and gassy microbiome growing. And then after that, apparently, at least according
00:36:03.740 to one scientist I was reading, it's a fairly, oh no, this was according to Scott Alexander.
00:36:09.220 It's a fairly calorie intensive microbiome that grows if you need one to process milk. So maybe
00:36:17.080 it helps you burn more of your food. So like it would be actually a net benefit if you build that
00:36:22.260 up, continue to drink a little bit of dairy to keep it alive, but then otherwise it burned more
00:36:25.980 calories for you like if you have a problem with overeating i'm like oh wow that's that's
00:36:29.560 interesting but you you can brute force it you just happen to be naturally or it could be malcolm
00:36:34.700 that you are lactose intolerant but you've never stopped drinking milk so you would never know
00:36:38.900 because that's the thing is that everyone starts out being able to tolerate that then they stop
00:36:42.780 drinking milk and then if they try to drink it again they get sick then i find that all i find
00:36:47.640 that all super fascinating i just i can't believe that it wasn't until like maybe six months ago
00:36:51.800 that I even knew that you could brute force lactose tolerance.
00:36:55.000 It's super interesting to me.
00:36:58.440 That is fun.
00:36:59.920 But yeah, so it's how you show off your European heritage.
00:37:03.760 It's how you show off.
00:37:04.540 They're trying to shame it because they don't want anyone to know
00:37:07.800 that they can't impress women by drinking milk.
00:37:11.100 Like my ancestors did thousands of years ago, 0.77
00:37:15.120 being like, hey, baby, I can drink milk as an adult.
00:37:19.940 Pretty sexy, right?
00:37:21.320 an additional source of calories and a very well-balanced one too yeah milk cheese all of
00:37:28.140 those fun things imagine the sad world that these people live in anyway check out rfab.ai or google

00:38:30.340 Oh, maybe not go in the water, but around? It's a little chilly.
00:38:36.340 It's a late October day.
00:38:38.340 I want to scoop water.
00:38:40.340 Yeah, you want to scoop water? Oh gosh, maybe it's a little cold for that.
00:38:46.340 I see the frogs.
00:38:48.340 You see frogs?
00:38:52.340 Frogs don't like frogs.
00:38:55.340 They sure do.
