00:06:24.600 Every time I look through the facts of this case and realize that he says, I don't know this person.

00:06:31.400 And then the woman says, no, I don't know him either.

00:06:34.020 And yet somehow he gets convicted.

00:06:37.960 But let's start with the spark notes here from New York.

00:06:43.040 But Miriam Haleighi, also known as Mimi, is the individual that put Harvey away for 20 years. 0.57

00:06:52.180 The best way to quickly remember her story, which I want to be clear, I do not believe Mimi at all.

00:07:01.240 I've looked into this case.

00:07:03.500 Essentially, the story that she tells is kind of like that viral Super Bowl meme of the artist, The Weeknd, you know, where he looks like he has no idea where he's going.

00:07:14.520 And I'll tell you why it is best remembered that way.

00:07:17.600 In short, Mimi met Harvey at the Cannes Film Festival.

00:07:22.600 She went up to his hotel at that time.

00:07:26.340 She claimed to be horrified by him already having made a pass at her.

00:07:30.700 And she was so horrified by what happened at the Cannes Film Festival that, and the emails reveal this, she immediately thereafter reaches out to his office, the Weinstein Company, and secures herself an internship at his company, working as a production assistant for Project Runway.

00:07:47.700 She was so horrified at what happened in Cannes that at the end of that internship, she decides to meet up with him at the Mercer Hotel to catch up.

00:07:55.600 She then heads down to his office to meet with someone else there.

00:07:59.720 And after seeing him, agrees for him to drive her back to her apartment in New York City.

00:08:05.520 And to be clear, his assistant was in the car with him at that time.

00:08:09.660 Now, she tells the story that that's when he marked where she lived, because obviously, if you're Harvey Weinstein,

00:08:14.640 it would make sense that rather than inviting her somewhere, you're just going to figure out where she lives by dropping her off at home and then barge into her apartment later that evening.

00:08:24.560 And that's what she says happened.

00:08:26.240 He barged into her apartment.

00:08:28.260 Well, first, he rang the doorbell and she opened.

00:08:31.500 She had to obviously physically open the door, which the court transcripts show. 0.81

00:08:35.600 But then once he gets in through that door and in through a second secure door, which she doesn't really remember how he did that, he then instantly knew which apartment was hers.

00:08:48.940 He was wandering around the apartment and somehow figured out on the floor which exact apartment was hers.

00:09:00.360 What you find when you read these court transcripts is that when these young women get into a hiccup, when they come across a hiccup and they can't really explain why something makes no sense, they just start crying harder.

00:09:20.880 OK, now you would think after that she would have gone to the police.

00:09:25.860 Of course, that's not what happened.

00:09:27.680 Just a few days beyond there, she alleges that he again and she was so upset with herself, got into a predicament where Harvey again assaulted her this time in a hotel room, which was his.

00:09:41.080 So she went into his hotel room upon invite and she says she was going, you know, to address him about what had happened earlier, but instead was assaulted again.

00:09:52.340 And after that assault, Mimi, like all the women involved, magically get tickets and red carpet premiere events. 1.00

00:11:29.500 And you'll recall that I've had correspondences with Jessica Mann since she did a whole series

00:11:45.500 And maybe it's because, and as I said to her, your emails are quite telling.

00:12:20.000 but she changed her flight so that she could stay with Harvey an additional night.

00:12:35.000 On his dime, she was staying in his hotel room.

00:12:38.220 And he testified that she seemed to be in great form, in such great form after her alleged

00:12:43.160 assault that she changed her flight to stay with Harvey. 0.96

00:12:47.080 That seems like a strange thing to do after you are raped or sexually assaulted. 0.98

00:12:53.480 I'm just putting the pieces together that are common sense.

00:12:55.900 And nobody sent Harvey more emails than Jessica Mann, more loving emails.

00:13:22.060 That is, to me, the craziest part of a Jessica Mann case.

00:14:49.440 Again, these young women were not like 19 years old when we say young women, okay?

00:15:20.520 Why did you allow witnesses to testify to his character,

00:15:24.760 which had nothing to do with the case?

00:15:28.260 You let people sit down and say, oh, he was really mean to me in third grade.

00:15:31.700 I'm being hyperbolic here, but they did allow people to testify.

00:15:36.280 What does it have to do with anything that's taking place here?

00:15:58.860 they would just conclude that this was all very much consensual,

00:16:04.380 He contended that, yes, I had relations with these women.

00:16:09.020 But these relations were consensual.

00:16:11.580 And to these women, these relations were clearly transactional, right?

00:16:14.060 They were willing to do whatever with Harvey

00:16:16.440 until they received tickets and they wanted to receive tickets to L.A.

00:16:26.460 And I think in the back of their minds,
