00:09:03.240 a huge debate. People are wondering whether or not Elon Musk is going crazy, whether or

00:09:07.800 not we've ceded too much power to him or if he's too close to Trump. So let me actually

00:09:12.360 give you guys a, just explain to the entire world what's going on because it may not be

00:09:17.400 clear. Typically, most Americans are not even familiar with the various visa programs that

00:09:22.320 we have because why would you be unless you're married to a foreign national or you have gone

00:09:26.300 through it yourself or maybe you're employing people. This is not something that most people

00:09:30.120 are well run up on, but especially people overseas. Okay, so what's really funny about

00:09:34.460 this topic is on that, when I sat down with Piers Morgan in December, he and I, we didn't

00:09:40.040 get into a debate really. He just sort of cut me off and I was trying to basically say to

00:09:45.300 him, I don't think Elon Musk is a superhero. Right now, he's at the top of his game. Everybody

00:09:49.400 loves him. Everybody's been worshiping him before his H-1B visa broke out. And I always felt

00:09:55.620 a little bit of pause. So I'm just going to show you just a quick snippet of me and Piers

00:10:00.360 Morgan's, Piers Morgan discussing Elon Musk. I wonder if we're attributing too much superheroism

00:10:07.740 to Elon Musk because he did this amazing thing having freed the bird. I think he actually might

00:10:13.740 be a superhero. And then he sort of launched into this diatribe about why he thought he was

00:10:18.300 a superhero. And I was trying to push back and he sort of cut me off. And now we have been able to

00:10:23.580 speak about that more at length, which on his show, which I think is coming out tonight because

00:10:26.680 I did another little visit. But what I was going to say, and I am hopeful that people can hear this

00:10:32.460 in the right way, was that in many ways we partook in celebrity culture, this thing that we hate the

00:10:38.260 most when people just go, well, I love Taylor Swift's music. She makes amazing music. I've followed

00:10:43.180 her career. And so I'm going to take her advice on who to vote for. I feel like conservatives kind of

00:10:49.180 partook in that culture when it came to Elon Musk. And what I was going to say is we don't really know

00:10:53.880 what Elon Musk believes. We don't know that. We know that he's extraordinarily wealthy. We know

00:10:58.120 that he did this wonderful thing by quote unquote freeing the bird, which may be going back into its

00:11:03.180 cage soon. But we have never seen somebody sit down and actually get to what his end game is.

00:11:10.460 And I had, I just had a little bit of reservation about Elon Musk because I'm a Christian and everything

00:11:15.320 that he advocates for to me looks like he's a part of the transhumanist agenda. He wants chips in

00:11:20.520 people's brains. He wants to be, you know, be able to go to Mars. What is, what do we conserve when we

00:11:25.460 say we're conservatives? I would say at its core, we're conserving Christian family values and nuclear

00:11:31.140 families. What's at its core? I think Elon Musk has 12 children by like five different baby mamas,

00:11:38.060 some via IVF. I don't know, but none of that screams Christianity to me. None of that screams

00:11:43.140 conservative values to me. And the problem that we have with Elon Musk is that he gets two types

00:11:48.880 of interviews. He either is sitting down with someone who is intentionally baiting him and

00:11:52.940 absolutely hates him. And this is, by the way, the same predicament with Trump who absolutely hates

00:11:56.920 him like Don Lemon when he sat down with Elon, or he's sitting down with people that are just

00:12:01.860 fawning over him and treating him like he's a superhero. And I want someone to actually sit down

00:12:06.360 and flesh out Elon Musk's ideas. What is his end goal? And so I had said to Piers Morgan in that

00:12:13.280 clip, I know what Vivek Ramaswamy thinks because he had to go through that process, that ideological

00:12:18.780 process when he was appearing in front of voters and he had to speak to people in middle America.

00:12:24.220 And they got to question about his faith, about his Hindu values, about whether or not that

00:12:28.440 conflicts with Christianity. But Elon Musk hasn't yet gone through that. He's just unbelievably wealthy

00:12:33.560 and people like wealth. And so they're happy about what he did with X and they're willing to just

00:12:37.980 say, OK, you can be in our government. So I'm not even kidding when I say that days after this

00:12:43.300 exchange between me and Piers, suddenly we're learning a lot more about Elon Musk. And we were

00:12:48.420 able to learn this via this week's long debate that broke out over H-1B visas. OK, now in case you are

00:12:57.360 not familiar with what an H-1B visa is, I'm going to explain it to you. It's essentially a foreign

00:13:02.060 workers visa. Legislation was passed in 1990 to permit foreigners to work in the United States.

00:13:08.800 And at that time, we were told by politicians that it was reserved to source foreigners who

00:13:14.800 were in the top one percent of talent globally. OK, that was a sales pitch. These people are so

00:13:20.440 talented that we want them on our side, OK, because we got to go up against China. And so we need this

00:13:25.980 guy here. He's in the top one percent of talent globally. And of course, when it comes to politics,

00:13:31.240 a sales pitch is never what you get, right? It's never what you get. And that is not what has

00:13:36.160 happened since at all. Instead, they're using the H-1B visa program to source cashiers, teachers,

00:13:43.360 janitors, publicists. So you're going to tell me that no Americans want these jobs? This entire issue

00:13:50.620 is what I would refer to as a MAGA 101 issue. It's been going on for a very long time. Essentially,

00:13:56.980 people saying we need to stop the abuses, not just of illegal immigration, but also of illegal

00:14:03.340 immigration programs like the H-1B-1, because obviously it disadvantages Americans who want and

00:14:10.320 need those jobs. OK, so if you're coming up and you do your four year degree and you spend $100,000

00:14:14.400 on a student loans and then you're like, great, I'm going to go into PR and you find out that

00:14:21.100 actually Jenny has your job from the U.K. and you're going, why can't why? Why was she given

00:14:28.260 this job? And the answer is because it drives wages down because those foreigners will do the 1.00

00:14:34.920 jobs for cheaper because it's a pathway to citizenship, right? So if you are coming from 1.00

00:14:39.380 India and it's like, hey, you're going to make less money, but you're going to be in America. 0.82

00:14:42.140 And in two years, which is how this works, in two years, you can apply for permanent residency.

00:14:46.960 You can apply for a green card after two years of being in this program. And so the last estimate,

00:14:52.720 which was done in 2019, was that 600,000 people in America, that there were 600,000 people that

00:14:59.460 were there on an H-1B-1 visa. That program can last for up to 10 years if you go to work for the

00:15:05.420 Department of Defense. So and why? Why do we have this many people that are stealing American jobs? 0.70

00:15:10.980 Like I said, it is untrue that these are just being given to people who have extraordinary

00:15:17.320 talent and are from the top 1% of the pool. So this debate was reopened with a tweet from Vivek

00:15:23.720 Ramaswamy, who you guys know that I like very much. And I'm just going to read some of it because

00:15:28.080 it's very long. Here's what he started to say. The reason top tech companies often hire foreign-born 1.00

00:15:33.700 and first-generation engineers over Native Americans isn't because of an innate American IQ deficit,

00:15:39.620 a lazy and wrong explanation. A key part of it comes down to the C-word, culture. Tough questions

00:15:45.280 demand tough answers. And if we're really serious about fixing the problem, we have to confront the

00:15:49.360 truth. Our American culture has venerated mediocrity over excellence for way too long, at least since

00:15:54.520 the 90s and likely longer. If it doesn't start in college, it starts young. A culture that celebrates

00:15:59.460 the prom queen over the math Olympiad champ or the jock over the valedictorian will not produce the 0.99

00:16:05.820 best engineer. So it goes on and on. He's explaining about the breakdown of American culture, which kind of

00:16:09.400 leads to this inevitability. And he faced immediate backlash, but immediate support from Elon Musk,

00:16:21.080 by the way, is because he came into this country on an H-1B visa, but he apparently doesn't know

00:16:25.160 a lot about the program other than that he is here and he wouldn't be allowed to be here and he

00:16:29.500 wouldn't be allowed to hire people who he clearly hires that are under this visa program. And so here's

00:16:34.840 just one thing that he said, a couple of things that he said, the reason I'm in America, along with

00:16:39.720 so many critical people who built SpaceX, Tesla, and hundreds of other companies that made America

00:16:43.860 strong is because of H-1B. Take a big step back and F yourself in the face. I will go to war on this 0.98

00:16:51.740 issue, the likes of which you cannot possibly comprehend. Okay. All right. So he was getting

00:16:58.900 angrier and angrier. He was removing people's check marks. A bunch of accounts got banned because he,

00:17:03.780 like I said, he was trending for weeks. Really, he's been trending since this discussion broke out

00:17:08.920 about people saying, like, how dare you? Like, you come into this country and you're basically

00:17:12.180 denigrating Americans by saying, like, you're not good enough to take these positions and we feel that

00:17:16.720 we are. Here's what he also said, which was really what sent people over the edge. He was responding

00:17:22.620 to someone who said, are people really dumb enough to think that they can convince Elon Musk, an 0.98

00:17:26.920 immigrant to the United States, who has generated untold wealth and national security advantage for our 0.97

00:17:32.620 economy and nation out of thin air, that high-skilled immigration is bad for Americans. Like, seriously? 0.83

00:17:42.740 is happening under this program. Anyways, Elon Musk responds to that and he says, my tolerance for

00:20:23.700 abused. And this is a clip that's dating back all the way from when George Bush was president. Now,

00:20:28.160 to be clear, this clip of Bernie Sanders, which the noise is not great on this. So if you're just

00:20:32.440 on audio, you're just going to have to bear with it a bit. But this this clip dates back to him

00:20:36.860 joining Lou Dobbs, the late Lou Dobbs of Fox News, and they're talking about amnesty. So he's basically

00:20:42.960 saying that the government has sold us out to billionaires and that the person who was pushing

00:20:48.080 for unlimited legal migration at this time and still is Bill Gates of Microsoft, formerly of

00:20:55.700 Microsoft. And he's saying that it's because they've done these deals. They want cheap labor.

00:20:59.500 And so one way is through illegal immigration and then giving everybody amnesty, which is what

00:21:03.660 they're talking about. But then he also particularly calls out the H-1B visa program. Take a listen to

00:21:09.180 Bernie Sanders 17 years ago.

00:21:12.420 When the middle class in this country continues to shrink, despite a huge increase in worker

00:21:17.700 productivity, poverty continues to increase since Bush has been president. Five million more Americans

00:21:24.560 have slipped into poverty. Six million Americans more have lost their health insurance. And the gap

00:21:30.740 between the rich and everybody else is growing wider. So when President Bush tells you how great

00:21:35.540 the economy is doing, what he is really saying is that the CEOs of large multinationals are doing

00:21:41.060 very, very well. He's kind of ignoring the economic reality of everybody else. And that gets us to the

00:21:45.740 immigration issue. If poverty is increasing and if wages are going down, I don't know why we need 1.00

00:22:59.560 Indian corporations that are outsourcing those positions to American corporations in this country.

00:23:05.960 And that four out of five of those jobs that are supposed to be high-skilled jobs are actually

00:23:10.680 category one jobs, which is low-skilled.

00:25:56.020 story was there. And that was the moment that Elon Musk said, I don't want to live in a world

00:25:59.880 that we can't tell jokes to the Babylon Bee. He got in touch with Seth Dillon. The next thing we knew,

00:26:05.620 Elon Musk was buying the Babylon Bee. And yeah, so that's kind of a little bit of, and I'll be clear

00:26:12.400 here. And since then, obviously, the Babylon Bee writes a lot of articles about Elon Musk, and all of

00:26:17.400 them are jokes, but they're all favorable to Elon Musk for the obvious reason that they adore him

00:30:23.220 they completely flip on me and the jokes are just pretty blatantly obvious that they don't like me.

00:33:50.020 with Seth Dillon, inviting Seth Dillon for meetings. Like, oh, we're all friends in the conservative

00:33:54.920 movement, you know, whatever. And Seth Dillon went for a meeting with these, what he thought

00:33:59.880 were friends and they wanted to buy his business. They wanted to literally buy the Babylon Bee.

00:34:04.580 And Seth Dillon said, no, actually, I kind of want to hold on to Babylon Bee. Cool. Awesome.

00:34:16.620 car to drive down the street, these friends then sent offers to all of his employees, offering

00:34:23.880 them double, triple the salary that Seth Dillon was paying them. Essentially a staging, a hostile

00:36:59.320 the most powerful person in the world, Elon Musk. Okay? And so Seth Dillon forgave the situation,
