00:00:59.880 the beginning of this year in January, I was figuring some things out because my husband and I had been
00:01:05.880 married for about eight months, and I was living in Virginia with him while he finished up his law
00:01:11.220 degree. Now before this point, I had just been pursuing opera and just giving all of my attention
00:01:16.860 and focus to that. I have three degrees in opera, if you didn't know. I have my undergrad degree,
00:01:20.960 a master's, and my professional studies certificate. And I had been traveling to sing and all of these
00:01:26.860 other things. And when I met my husband, I realized that I loved singing, but I also really loved being
00:01:33.260 with him. So when you are an opera singer, you are traveling four weeks at a time to perform in operas
00:01:39.740 because you have to be there for the rehearsal period and then the performance period. And I really
00:01:44.140 didn't want to be away from my husband for long periods of time. I just, I missed him. When we met,
00:01:50.080 I actually left two weeks later for 10 weeks to sing at a festival in Aspen. And even though that was
00:01:58.060 probably one of the heights of my career, I also felt really, really sad that I wasn't with this guy
00:02:04.660 who we kind of knew we were going to get married even after two weeks. So it was just a really big wake-up
00:02:12.000 call for me. And so I was trying to decide how did I want to spend my time? How did I want to develop
00:02:18.240 my singing career as well as all of my other passions? And then the idea of blogging and YouTube
00:02:23.740 came up. And I thought, okay, well, what do I love to do? I love being classic. My whole lifestyle is a
00:02:30.980 very classic lifestyle. I am a wife. I love cooking for my husband. I love wearing classic clothing. I love
00:02:37.400 putting on makeup. And I love singing opera. And so with all of that in mind, I put together
00:02:43.240 Classically Abbey. And this past year has just been amazing. I've gotten to talk about all of this
00:02:50.120 content that I really enjoy sharing with you all. And I'm so excited for what this year has to bring.

00:04:15.620 not it was a blog post or a video. So sometimes I would go a couple of weeks without posting on YouTube
00:04:20.200 at all. And I've decided that I really want to be more regular about that. So I'm going to be posting
00:04:24.700 twice a week on YouTube. Lots of different things about fashion and beauty and opera and lifestyle
00:04:31.300 and cooking and all of those things. And as well, I will be putting out one blog post a week. So keep
00:04:36.580 an eye out for that. Another thing to look forward to this year is that I'm going to be talking more
00:04:41.860 about being classic, which is so much of what I do. I want to talk about classic makeup and classic art.
