00:01:32.080 Someone was asking name for the baby and I want to answer this question in a way. So first of all,

00:01:40.720 Jacob and I actually aren't going to give our son a name officially until his circumcision, which in

00:01:46.520 Hebrew is called a Brit Milah. That is when he enters the Jewish covenant with God and that's

00:01:51.780 when he gets his name. So we actually don't give him a name until then, which is eight days after he's

00:01:56.780 born, but we also don't want to choose his name until we see him. So we have a few names that we both

00:02:03.420 really love. They're pretty biblical, but we don't want to choose his name until he's born and we see

00:02:08.800 what he looks like and see his personality and say, okay, well this name looks like it fits him.

00:02:13.140 Now, even with all of that in mind, we are not going to be announcing our son's name on social

00:02:18.620 media. We don't want to make that public information. I'm a public figure and it's just not

00:02:24.260 safe. It's also not something that he can consent to. So that's another thing. I'm not going to be

00:02:30.140 sharing much of him on the internet. I'm going to be showing kind of the back of his head if he's with

00:02:36.400 us or like if he's walking or something, but I'm not going to be showing his face except for right

00:02:41.940 after he's born. I don't want him to grow up and realize his entire life has been online and he

00:02:47.360 never even knew about it. So I'm not going to be sharing a lot of information about him, but I will

00:04:06.220 singing for a really long time and I think it's really, a lot of it has to do with your voice

00:04:11.700 maturing. I used to think that a lot of it was about, oh, my technique isn't good enough. But I think

00:04:16.860 over time your voice just matures and it's just, you obviously need to have the technique. You have to

00:04:21.540 practice, but a lot of it is just getting older. And I feel like as I've grown, my voice has gotten

00:04:26.800 stronger just by virtue of the fact that I've gotten older and these muscles have gotten more

00:04:31.720 mature. How to navigate maintaining traditional values while also having masculine hobbies?

00:04:38.480 Hmm, that's a really good question. I think that as a woman, you don't need to have just feminine

00:04:46.100 interests in order to be feminine. I mean, this is a kind of misconception in the traditional

00:04:52.420 community, I think, is that what makes women women are feminine interests. I don't think that's true

00:04:59.520 because I know a lot of women who are wonderful mothers and who are tomboys and they are wonderfully

00:05:05.800 traditional women and they like to go out and do kind of masculine things. I think it's good to

00:05:11.320 always have a balance where you are embracing kind of the inherently feminine qualities that make us

00:05:18.140 women. But your interests can be all over the spectrum. I like to play video games with Jacob

00:05:24.240 and I know that a lot of women would not find that interesting at all. You know, I know I really like

00:05:30.240 building furniture. I think that's a really fun endeavor. That's not technically a feminine hobby.

00:05:36.200 So you can be traditional and have masculine hobbies. That is a false dichotomy that you would have to

00:05:42.560 only be interested in in girly things in order to be a feminine traditional woman. That's not true

00:05:49.160 because many of our feminine qualities are internal and they're about that caring aspect of womanhood

00:05:55.300 as opposed to kind of the external feminine things that we can enjoy. But if you are interested

00:06:01.920 in masculine things, that's also fine. So I think that there is no problem with being a traditional woman

00:06:08.180 and having masculine hobbies. What are you most excited about when your child is born? That is a great

00:06:15.420 question. There's so much I'm excited for. I'm trying to narrow it down, but just like this little person

00:06:21.920 that I get to take care of and that I get to do that with my husband and teaching him about God,

00:06:28.060 that is so exciting to me. Now this is a very specific thing, but something I look forward to

00:06:34.240 is baby yawns. I think baby yawns are like the cutest thing in the world. So I'm very excited to

00:06:41.020 see my baby yawn. That is what I've been looking forward to. It's something I look forward to.

00:06:52.520 little sun hats at the beach is so cute to me and I can't wait for that. Now that's a little bit

00:07:09.520 already. If you could devote your time to any skill or hobby, no matter how random, what would it be?

00:07:18.100 So it's really funny you ask that because I was literally thinking about this this morning.

00:07:21.940 I wish I knew how to paint like well. I don't really know how to paint well. I like painting,

00:07:30.080 but I'm not good at it. And I would love to learn how to paint. I think that that's like a really

00:07:36.340 beautiful kind of way to express yourself and a way to spend your time. And I love the idea of

00:07:43.320 enjoying just time passing while you're putting something creative on a canvas. I would love to

00:07:50.300 learn how to paint and really actually be good at it. I just think that that's like a really

00:07:53.680 beautiful thing to embrace, but I don't know that I'll ever get around to it. Despite the nasty

00:07:58.180 comments you receive, how do you stay motivated to push for truth? You know, I know a lot of people

00:08:04.540 are deeply affected by nasty comments and I really do understand it, but for the most part, they don't

00:08:12.400 affect me. I find that when people leave nasty comments, it's generally because they're unhappy

00:08:18.440 and they don't have enough to do and they have too much time on their hands. And so if I kind of

00:08:24.740 recognize where those nasty comments are coming from, then it doesn't affect the way that I view

00:08:31.240 the world and my perspectives. I think it's really important not to let other people who are not giving

00:08:38.960 you good arguments shake your belief system. And I have really worked hard to back up everything that

00:08:46.860 I believe with facts and to read about it and to study it. And so everything that I believe

00:08:53.080 is really coming from a place of me having educated myself and wanting to share that with other people.

00:09:01.020 And so it's not just, oh, I believe this and I can easily have my confidence shaken by a nasty comment.

00:09:07.540 What I believe is truth. And if it is truth, it doesn't matter what you say that's mean.

00:09:13.340 It doesn't change the truth and it doesn't change the facts. So I think it's just so important to

00:09:20.120 continue to talk about classic living, traditional values, faith, family, and community. And at the end

00:09:25.680 of the day, that's what's important. Favorite fashion decade of the 20th century. So I think for me,

00:09:33.080 it would have to be like for my body type, it would have to be the 40s and 50s, just because my body type

00:09:40.420 fits in with that style more. But the 20th century had so many interesting, like every decade had a

00:09:47.000 different style. And I think that that's so interesting. And there are other fashions I can look at and be

00:09:52.560 like, oh my gosh, that's beautiful, but it would never look good on me. So things from like the 20s and the

00:09:56.960 30s are gorgeous, but would never work on my figure. So for me, 40s and 50s, I love the whole kind of

00:10:04.280 accentuating the waist look. That's something I really, really like. Now, do I dress that way most of the time?

00:10:09.900 Probably not. Many of the clothes that I wear are like flowier dresses. But I do like accentuating

00:10:17.300 my waist. Not so much in pregnancy, as you might imagine. Advice on meeting people as a young adult

00:10:23.740 professional. I often talk about that if you want to meet someone who you could have a future with, as far as

00:10:29.060 dating, then you need to go to places where people are going to share your values. So I think you can meet

00:10:36.100 people at church or synagogue. I think you can meet people volunteering. I think you can meet people

00:10:42.780 at events that you host, or that somebody hosts, with other people who share your values. So it's

00:10:50.300 really important to put yourself out there. It's really easy to kind of sit back and let time pass

00:10:56.940 and just imagine that the right person is going to fall into your lap. But that's not usually the case.

00:11:02.780 And I think as a young adult, your best bet is going to be through your community, through your

00:11:09.420 faith, and through your family. I mean, those three things are going to help you meet the right guy

00:11:13.800 for you, because they're going to actually have your best interests at heart. So if you are religious,

00:11:21.860 going to a church event is going to be a better place to meet someone than going to a bar where you

00:11:27.700 may not share the same values at all with the person that you meet. You may have chemistry, but

00:11:31.580 you may not have compatibility. Now getting set up by friends is the other great way to do things.

00:11:36.780 So having a good friend group is really important. Jacob and I were set up by a mutual friend, and

00:11:41.820 that's how we got married. So finding a friend group where everyone is supporting each other is really

00:11:46.240 important. And by the way, if you are single, having married friends is really good for this.

00:11:52.120 Because single friends can sometimes get a little competitive, but married friends just want you to get

00:11:57.140 married so that you're all in the same stage of life and can talk more about kind of where you're

00:12:01.900 all at. So married friends are a very, very good option when it comes to meeting someone.

00:12:08.860 Were you always conservative or did it grow slowly over the years? So for me, I've talked about this

00:12:14.200 on my channel a little bit. I grew up conservative, and then I became more liberal when I was in my

00:12:20.140 master's degree, when I was studying for my master's degree. I was just surrounded by it all the time,

00:12:24.800 and I wasn't diligent about educating myself on why I had been conservative growing up. I just kind

00:12:30.640 of had taken that at face value. And then when I was presented with the other side, I took that at

00:12:35.280 face value. And so since then, I then became more conservative again, when I re-educated myself and

00:12:42.860 figured out, okay, why do I believe what I believe? Once I started taking those steps, then I was so much

00:12:48.720 more confident in being conservative. And it wasn't just something I was raised with, it was something

00:12:53.560 that I had taught myself and understood why I took those stances. That was a huge thing for me.

00:13:00.800 Will baby boy be shown on your channel? So I sort of addressed this earlier. I'm not going to be

00:13:06.080 putting him on my channel with his face, except maybe the very first time, like right after he's

00:13:11.120 born, just to introduce you guys, because you've been with me through this process. And you really

00:13:15.340 can't tell what a baby's going to look like from when they're a newborn. But after that, you might see

00:13:21.300 the back of his head or we'll take photos with him not facing the camera. But he's not going to be

00:13:26.900 in my videos because I just don't want to spoil his privacy. I just don't think that that's fair to him.

00:13:34.100 How is your hair so fabulous? Thank you. That's a really nice thing to say.

00:13:40.460 I style it, which I think helps. And I have baby lights throughout my hair or highlights and some

00:13:48.460 around my face. Just getting some highlights can sometimes make your hair look really fancy.

00:13:54.040 When I style my hair, I recently made a purchase that I'm very excited about, which was the Dyson

00:14:09.280 and then it's much healthier for your hair. And it lasts a long time, at least for me.

00:15:07.400 another one. What have you done in order to prepare your family and your home for baby boy?

00:15:12.880 So, well, let's talk about this for a second. Jacob and I are actually moving. We are moving

00:15:21.960 next door. And that means that I have not been able to set up the nursery. I have not been able to

00:15:28.580 get everything ready. And it is making me crazy. I've mentioned it a few different places. I've

00:15:33.720 mentioned it on my sub stack. I've mentioned it in a couple of videos here and there. But that's

00:15:39.580 what I have not done. And it's making me insane. I want to nest so badly. When we get into that new

00:15:47.300 house, you can bet your bottom dollar I'm going to be like going crazy, cleaning, throwing out things,

00:15:53.420 decluttering, and preparing the nursery. That is the plan because as it is now, I am so frustrated

00:16:00.120 that I can't prepare. But that is kind of like the biggest thing on my to-do list is just get

00:16:06.220 everything ready for the baby. What I have done and what Jacob and I have done is I'm reading the book

00:16:13.180 Babywise. A bunch of my friends have recommended it. So I'm reading that. I am also working on my faith.

00:16:20.460 Jacob and I both want to be more observant by the time our son is born and then by the time he's

00:16:27.160 really aware of what's going on. And so we have taken a lot of steps to become more observant in

00:16:34.600 our faith over time. And that has been really meaningful for the both of us and exciting.

00:16:41.240 And one of the big things we've had to prepare is the circumcision. So the circumcision, I already

00:16:46.240 mentioned it, but we are, we have to set it up with the Mohel who, that's the man who performs the

00:16:51.660 circumcision. And we kind of can't plan it on a specific day because you don't know when your due

00:16:58.180 date is. So like, you know, when your due date is, but you don't know when you're actually going to

00:17:01.560 have the baby. So it's, it's kind of funny. Um, but yeah, I would say we've mentally been preparing,

00:17:07.940 emotionally been preparing, faithfully been preparing. And practically, I guess the biggest thing is

00:17:13.760 I've been, I've made the registry. We've ordered some of the big products off of it and that stuff

00:17:19.240 is arriving, but I just haven't been able to set anything up yet. What's your hair regimen? Any

00:17:24.800 favorite brands? So back to the hair thing, Tresemme, Tresemme. I know it's not like a fancy brand,

00:17:32.140 but they have a couple of different products that I really love. I'll link them down below. One is like

00:17:36.220 a water spray that you put in your hair before you dry it. And it's almost like a hairspray. And then

00:17:42.100 their actual hairspray I really love. Um, my regimen is I just don't wash my hair very often.

00:17:47.760 I wash my hair maybe two or three times a week. And then when I do wash my hair, I use specific

00:17:53.360 products. Um, I use Hask the, I think it's a Moroccan oil kind of thing in the shower. And then

00:18:00.640 I use a hair protectant every time I use heat on my hair. Does the baby kicking hurt? So I was about

00:18:05.540 to say no, and it generally doesn't, uh, but very rarely you'll get a kick that's like, whoa,

00:18:11.340 and that, that can hurt if it's, if you're in just like a weird position. But generally,

00:18:15.840 no. Generally it's, it's, it can feel mostly like pokes and a little like prods. And then when

00:18:22.480 there's like knees and elbows, it can feel very odd and hard to describe, but it doesn't hurt.

00:18:27.300 What is your favorite TV show at the moment? So Jacob and I watched Succession. Uh, we really

00:18:34.940 enjoyed it, but also started to think it was not as well done in the last season. I still am looking

00:18:40.400 forward to the next season. Uh, but this last season, there were a lot of things that frustrated

00:18:45.380 me. Um, but it's, it's the show that I would say I think about the most often. I just think it's very

00:18:50.940 interesting and well done. And in the same vein, what's the greatest movie to ever exist in your

00:18:56.740 unbiased opinion? I mean, Lord of the Rings, all three as like a package deal. Do you want daughters

00:19:04.300 after you have your son? You know, I am, I actually love the idea of having a lot of boys, but I also

00:19:13.320 would love to have a daughter. So I'm very flexible on that. You know, Jacob and I want to have a, you

00:19:20.060 know, with God's help, five children. Um, and so we would love to have, I'd like to have at least

00:19:27.560 one girl, but I also, like I said, I think it'd be really fun to have boys close in age so that they

00:19:32.780 could play. Um, so I could imagine being really happy with having a son after, after this one. Um,

00:19:39.600 but if we have a daughter, I mean, that's also awesome because then there's no pressure. If we want to

00:19:44.560 have a daughter later, then we've already got a daughter and a son and now we can have whatever and

00:20:05.960 more as I can. What is something you and your husband enjoy doing together? We love taking walks

00:20:12.740 together. Love it. Running errands. I know that sounds so silly, but I love running errands with

00:20:18.560 Jacob. Running errands when it's just you alone is like a chore, but when we do it together, it's

00:20:23.500 something fun that I really look forward to. So that's really nice. And then as far as like fun

00:20:29.480 things, we play board games together. He loves board games and so we'll play board games together.

00:20:34.460 What does being pregnant feel like? Clearly never been pregnant here. Um, so the first trimester you feel

00:20:41.800 sick all the time, but you don't feel physically pregnant. Second trimester until you start feeling

00:20:49.040 kicks, you like forget that you're pregnant because you're not feeling sick. You feel pretty good. Um,

00:20:55.560 and it's just an interesting thing. You go from like feeling sick all the time to not feeling sick and

00:21:00.900 being like, am I still pregnant? And then third trimester you feel like heavy and just like all of

00:21:09.260 these movements and you feel very pregnant if that makes sense. So it's, it's such a special thing.

00:21:16.280 Um, you're hungry. You feel like, I don't know, like you're doing something amazing. And that's a

00:21:23.180 really cool feeling is that like even just existing, you're doing something really important. And I think

00:21:29.520 we should try and feel like that even when we're not pregnant, but when you're pregnant, it's very easy

00:21:34.860 to feel that way because you're like taking part in the creation of a person. So that's a really

00:21:39.940 special feeling. Love your glow. Thoughts on epidural versus natural birth. So I touched on

00:21:45.620 this in a different video. I don't remember which one it was, but I am somebody who thinks that if you

00:21:51.800 want to get an epidural, absolutely go for it. I am going to attempt natural birth. And if it doesn't

00:21:58.720 work for me, then I will get an epidural. I want to be very flexible. I don't want to make this an

00:22:03.920 emotional situation where if I feel like I'm just absolutely not able to handle it, I'm going to

00:22:11.000 blame myself as if I did something wrong. I want to view natural birth as something I can attempt.

00:22:16.880 And it's like a really cool thing. And for those women who do it, I think that's amazing, but I don't

00:22:22.420 like the idea that we have to hold an epidural against anybody. So I am going to try a natural

00:22:29.000 birth and see what happens. What are some of your favorite clothing shops? So hard finding cute,

00:22:34.100 modest clothing. So I'll be completely honest. I shop at three places. I think that's the only

00:22:40.120 thing I do. I shop on Amazon and order things up there. I shop at TJ Maxx and I shop at Target.

00:22:46.340 Those are like the three places I shop. If I can't find it at one of those three places,

00:22:51.280 I'm stumped. I just, they're affordable. They have a lot of good options and you can do easy

00:22:58.600 returns. And that for me is like the big thing. This dress is Amazon and I really like it.

00:23:04.140 How do you think you'll balance working from home, YouTube, and a newborn?

00:23:10.160 With God's help, with my husband's help, with family support. Those are kind of the ways that

00:23:17.540 I'm hoping that everything will come together. I don't think it's going to be super easy because

00:23:24.440 I'll be balancing the tasks of being a wife, of being a mother, and having this job, which I love.

00:23:32.920 But it's something that I think if you view it as I'm going to devote my time and energy into

00:23:41.180 scheduling and being organized and not allowing life to be too chaotic, then it can, it can be done.

00:23:49.840 I mean, women have been doing it for a very, very long time. So I want to, I want to be really

00:23:57.080 deliberate and intentional with my day, something I struggle with now. So I want to make sure that by

00:24:02.960 the time little man arrives, I've got things under control. I've got things a little bit more

00:24:07.660 segmented. I see women do this and I just, I have so much respect for them. So I want to

00:24:13.580 emulate it myself, which is really not allowing the everyday things to build up, build up, build up

00:24:22.360 until you're just totally overwhelmed. I really want to work on just staying mindful and being

00:24:30.940 aware of how much time I'm spending in certain things. Now in the first few months as we're adjusting,

00:24:36.420 I'm sure everything's going to be all over the place, but it is just a plan and a hope that I

00:24:42.760 have. Instead of immediately assuming that things are going to go off the rails, I recognize that

00:24:48.440 they will, but not saying, okay, well, that's just the way it has to be. Instead of saying that,

00:24:54.880 saying, okay, well, I know it's going to go off the rails for a little bit, but I can commandeer

00:25:00.220 this train and get things back on track. Was the kind of family you were marrying into important to

00:25:06.640 you? Yes. When you get married, you don't just marry them, you marry their family. And I am the

00:25:13.200 luckiest because my husband's family is amazing and I love them. And I knew that I would, I wanted to

00:25:20.340 have a good relationship with my in-laws. And I do, I feel so grateful for that. I absolutely adore

00:25:27.080 them. They are just wonderful people. And I think it's really important to have a support system on

00:25:35.240 both sides. I think it's really, really nice to have that. Have you always been so confident?

00:25:40.920 It depends what you mean and in what area. I think I've always been confident in like,

00:25:48.140 I'm going to talk about my style. Like that was something I always really liked. And I would do

00:25:53.520 stupid things and be like, this is going to catch on for fashion. And it didn't. I remember doing that

00:25:59.260 in like seventh grade. I was like, everyone is going to start wearing scarves as belts. I'm starting

00:26:05.140 the trend. No one did. And I did that for way too long. But as far as my views, I would say I was

00:26:13.140 confident, but not in a necessarily positive way because I didn't know why I believed what I

00:26:19.740 believed. Nowadays, I'm confident because I can back up everything I talk about. So that's pretty

00:26:25.260 great. But I've always been confident in the sense that I like meeting new people and I like making

00:26:32.200 friends. How did your family react when you found out that you were pregnant? So, you know, I found

00:26:38.860 out that I was pregnant twice this year. First when I miscarried and then second with this baby.

00:26:44.700 We actually did kind of all of the fun telling people, recording their reactions with the first

00:26:51.340 baby. And everybody was really excited. And then of course, we miscarried. So that was really emotional.

00:26:57.600 The second time when we got pregnant, I actually just called my whole family pretty soon after just

00:27:05.780 to let them know because God forbid something bad were to happen again. I wanted to have their

00:27:10.060 support. And so they were very happy to hear that I was pregnant again. They were also praying for me.

00:27:16.500 I think everyone in my family was really sweet and kind and supportive. Of course, everyone wants us

00:27:22.800 to get pregnant. Everybody wants us to have a big, happy family. So everyone was excited, but also

00:28:13.180 will. Now, do you have to choose motherhood over a career? I don't think so. I think you can do both.

00:28:20.680 But I think that prioritizing motherhood and saying this is something that's going to be important to

00:28:26.020 me when I'm 70 years old, what's going to be there for me my career or my grandchildren, you know,

00:28:32.080 giving your your daughters the understanding of how much you love being a mother and how much you love

00:28:39.540 the experience of raising your children. I think that is really the the important thing. And that's

00:28:45.740 why I think, you know, all of this talk about like wine moms and how hard it is to be a mom, you know,

00:28:51.660 of course, your daughter is going to look at that and say, Well, I don't want to do that. That seems

00:28:55.040 awful. It's really important as mothers that we show our children how much we love this role that

00:29:01.600 God gave us. And I think that also makes things clearer is when you have God in the picture, you can say,

00:29:08.420 look at how God made men, look at how God made women, look at how God gave us the opportunity to

00:29:14.260 grow children in our wombs. Isn't that an amazing thing? And you know, even when I was more liberal,

00:29:20.540 I always knew I was going to be a mother. Did I necessarily like connect with it in the same way

00:29:26.020 as I do now? Maybe not. But it was always something I knew I would regret if I didn't do. And I think

00:29:32.580 that's really important is to teach our daughters that if you don't do this, you will regret it. And

00:29:38.240 there is a point where there's no turning back where you will not be able to have a child.
