Classically Abby - 2019 FAVORITES ｜｜ Makeup, Hair Tools, Content Creators...

00:00:00.000 Hello, beautiful ladies, and welcome to today's video where I'm going to be sharing my 2019 favorites. 0.55

00:00:08.780 So I have a bunch of different favorites from this year.

00:00:11.660 They range from hair stuff to skincare to clothing to Amazon purchases and even to other people that I follow on YouTube and Instagram.

00:00:21.780 So I'm really excited to share this list with you guys.

00:00:24.540 And let me know down in the comments, what are your favorites from 2019?

00:00:28.320 What have you been loving? Any category, whatever you guys have been enjoying, let me know.

00:00:33.880 I would love to hear, and let's hop in.

00:00:36.060 So I want to start off with a few clothing pieces that I've really enjoyed.

00:00:40.120 So the first one is shoes. I don't know if that counts as clothing, but I'm putting that in the clothing category.

00:00:44.760 And it's these sneakers from Target. These are a new day.

00:00:48.640 They're called the Women's Reign Lace-Up Sneakers. 0.97

00:00:51.360 They think they were like $30, $35, and I am obsessed with these.

00:00:56.100 I wear them to work out. I wore them all around our cruise when we went to the British Isles and we were walking like 100 miles a day.

00:01:03.820 I wear them whenever we travel. I just think they're so comfortable, and they're really cute, too.

00:01:09.740 I really like this detail on the side, and they're just fantastic.

00:01:14.180 I really recommend them if you're looking for a pair of sneakers that are comfortable but also kind of cute, and you can also work out in.

00:01:20.840 The next piece of clothing I want to talk about is actually also an Amazon favorite, and it is this white jacket that I got on Amazon, and I am obsessed with this thing.

00:01:31.520 I got this, I think I posted about it a few months ago, like in April, and I bought it because I was looking for something that I could wear during Passover to cover up my shoulders for the holidays,

00:01:43.020 and this is just like the perfect jacket for this kind of thing. It tapers in at the bottom, which I love, and it's a stretchy fabric, so it really does hug your arms nicely.

00:01:53.880 It doesn't feel that expensive, but it's one of those pieces that's very flattering, and you can wear with so many different looks, and I absolutely love that.

00:02:01.960 I love the detailing on the collar here, and I really like that it has, you know, certain little details all over it that just make it unique.

00:02:10.640 It also has a curve around the hem that's really flattering because it kind of hugs in around your waist, and I just totally recommend this if you're looking for a white jacket to wear over your sleeveless tops.

00:02:21.760 Next, let's talk about a skincare product.

00:02:24.040 So I got this Hydro Boost Neutrogena Cleansing Gel. I talked about this in my skincare video a few months ago, and I just love this stuff.

00:02:33.140 I've been using it for two years, and every time I use it, I just feel like my skin feels really clean, but it doesn't feel dry, and that's my biggest struggle is that I definitely have oily skin.

00:02:43.540 I also have dry skin, so it's combo, and this really treats both of those things, which I love.

00:02:49.540 You can get it at the drugstore, so it's not that expensive, and I just think this is, like, one of my best purchases.

00:02:55.400 I don't see myself moving away from this unless I try a bunch of products and find something better, but this is something that I totally recommend and I love.

00:03:04.580 Next up in the realm of skincare, also kind of makeup, are these makeup removing wipes.

00:03:10.400 So, my number one favorite for 2019, okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, has to be my Costco membership.

00:03:18.360 Costco's the best thing in the world. I'm obsessed with it. My husband and I go there for date night. I feel like I've talked about this, but Costco is great, and this is one of my favorite things that I purchased there.

00:03:29.080 They come in a giant box. You can get, I think there are, like, 15 of these little packages, and each one has 15 pre-moistened towelettes, and I love being able to purchase so many makeup wipes at a time because I always used to, like, hoard them.

00:03:43.260 I, like, wouldn't use them if I needed to because I was like, they're expensive. I don't want to waste them. Maybe I'll just use a cotton ball and something else. Like, I'll figure something else out.

00:03:52.620 No. When you have this many makeup wipes that you can buy in bulk from Costco, you don't feel like that, and I can use them when I actually need to.

00:04:00.660 When I mess up my makeup or something, I don't kind of freak out that I'm going to be spending 15 cents or 25 cents or whatever on each single makeup wipe.

00:04:09.220 Instead, I can just reach in my giant box that has all of these different packages, and I can just use whatever one I need.

00:04:16.700 Now, I will say, they are a little bit drying, so if you're somebody who has really dry skin, this may not be the right fit for you.

00:04:23.860 For me, I use makeup wipes to get my makeup off, so I don't mind if they're a little bit drying because right immediately after, I wash my face and I moisturize.

00:04:31.900 But if you're somebody who's more sensitive, keep that in mind.

00:04:34.820 Next up, let's talk about some of my favorite tools from 2019.

00:04:38.540 So, let's start off with this.

00:04:42.800 This has been a game changer.

00:04:45.020 I bought this on Amazon Prime Day.

00:04:47.060 I talked about it in another video.

00:04:49.160 I'll link it above.

00:04:50.720 And it is this.

00:04:52.920 This epilator has changed the game for me.

00:04:56.840 I used to have to shave every couple of days.

00:04:59.600 Like, actually, every two days I would have to shave.

00:05:02.100 It was just the worst.

00:05:03.460 This, I use maybe every two weeks.

00:05:06.100 And when my hair does grow back, it is so soft.

00:05:10.200 It is so much lighter that you really can't even tell.

00:05:13.820 So, I do it for myself.

00:05:15.800 That's why I epilate.

00:05:16.740 I do it because I'll start to notice.

00:05:18.460 But to the average person, they're not going to notice that my hair has grown back.

00:05:22.060 So, this has been so incredible.

00:05:24.680 I save money because I don't have to buy new razors all the time.

00:05:28.080 I save time because I'm not shaving every other night in the shower.

00:05:31.920 And as well, my hair and my legs feel so much smoother.

00:05:35.680 It's the best purchase I think I made this year.

00:05:39.020 And I'm so happy I did it.

00:05:40.440 This is the Braun Silk Appeal 9.

00:05:43.420 You can get it on Amazon.

00:05:44.520 I obviously got mine on sale.

00:05:46.160 You can get a cheaper version.

00:05:47.280 You can get epilators that you use in the shower.

00:05:49.260 This one does that.

00:05:50.240 You can get an epilator that you shouldn't get wet.

00:05:52.620 And that probably is going to be less expensive.

00:05:54.240 I will say that the first time I used this was really painful.

00:05:59.720 Now, it's not so bad at all.

00:06:02.000 And if you let your hair grow out way too long until it's like four or five weeks since the

00:06:07.040 last time you epilated, that's also painful because you just have so much hair that you

00:06:10.480 have to remove.

00:06:11.340 If you're doing it regularly every week and a half, two weeks, it's really not that bad.

00:06:16.540 And I actually don't ever use it in the shower.

00:06:19.180 I find that it takes too long.

00:06:20.640 I prefer to do it just when I'm dry.

00:06:23.900 So if you are looking for something and you're thinking, oh, maybe I should get the one in

00:06:27.520 the shower.

00:06:28.240 If you don't have super sensitive skin, you may not need that and you might be able to

00:06:31.840 save yourself some money.

00:06:32.980 The next tool I want to talk about is this bedhead waiver.

00:06:36.580 I just talked about this in a couple videos ago.

00:06:39.260 Again, I'll link it above.

00:06:40.880 And I love this thing.

00:06:43.320 Now, I love hair tools just generally.

00:06:45.100 I think I have an obsession now.

00:06:46.560 It's very funny.

00:06:47.240 I used to be like, I want to buy a bunch of different kinds of makeup.

00:06:50.380 That was my thing.

00:06:51.560 Now, more recently, I'm moving more into hair tools.

00:06:54.640 And this is the one that I have been really enjoying.

00:06:58.000 It's so quick.

00:06:59.240 It creates this really unique texture that lasts a while, which for me is like everything

00:07:03.600 because everything falls out of my hair immediately.

00:07:06.600 So having this tool where I can do my hair on Monday and then I don't have to touch it

00:07:10.780 until I wash it like three days later is fantastic.

00:07:14.600 I love this thing.

00:07:15.620 I have a tutorial about how to use it because I know it can be a little bit tricky to get

00:07:19.900 it to hold, but this has been a game changer and I really, really like it.

00:07:24.620 Okay.

00:07:24.960 So this next thing, I don't even know if I should put in this list because I bought it

00:07:29.280 like two days ago and that's the very end of 2019.

00:07:32.300 Can I even say it's a 2019 favorite, but I already love it.

00:07:36.180 And it's these.

00:07:37.600 Mary Orton, who I'm going to talk about later, she recommended using hot rollers. 1.00

00:07:41.920 And if you like the way my hair looks in this video, it was these.

00:07:45.400 I got these at Target.

00:07:47.080 They were like $25.

00:07:48.620 I think they may even have been less.

00:07:50.480 And they're so travel friendly, number one.

00:07:52.840 And number two, you pop them in, you do your makeup, you take them out, you do a little

00:07:56.760 hairspray and that's it.

00:07:58.400 It's so fast.

00:07:59.560 It creates a really unique look for your hair, much more voluminous on the bottom.

00:08:05.620 And I really, really am enjoying these.

00:08:08.760 You plug them in, they're so small.

00:08:10.660 Look how like compact this is.

00:08:12.120 So it's so much easier to travel with if this is what you're going for.

00:08:16.560 And I am really excited to keep using them.

00:08:19.760 Again, I know I've only used them like two or three times since I bought them and it's

00:08:23.680 the end of 2019, but I wanted to mention it because I think that these are going to make

00:08:28.460 a really big entry into my hair tools for 2020.

00:08:32.720 Another product that I got on Amazon is this Dazzle Stick.

00:08:36.160 I use this to clean my engagement ring.

00:08:38.420 It is so good.

00:08:40.020 It's $5 and it like makes your ring sparkle like nobody's business.

00:08:44.700 I love this.

00:08:46.320 $5.

00:08:47.040 Like so great to just keep in your bathroom, keep in your desk and just rinse it off and

00:08:53.000 you're done.

00:08:53.580 And it is the easiest thing.

00:08:54.880 It does such a good job.

00:08:56.440 Highly recommend.

00:08:57.460 So before we get into my makeup favorites, I wanted to talk about two new purchases I

00:09:02.440 made for my hair.

00:09:03.600 And that is this coconut milk conditioner and coconut milk shampoo from OGX.

00:09:09.220 And these have been awesome.

00:09:11.420 So here is the story.

00:09:13.120 When I was at my sister-in-law's over Thanksgiving, I was talking to one of our family friends and

00:09:19.960 she and I were discussing how I felt like my hair would never get dry.

00:09:23.940 And she mentioned to me, she said, have you been washing your hair twice?

00:09:26.820 You have so much hair that you can't just do one thing and then be done.

00:09:31.520 You have to do one like this and then rinse it out and then do another one in the back

00:09:35.560 of your head.

00:09:36.280 And I could not believe that that was a thing. 1.00

00:09:39.020 I was like, are you crazy? 0.83

00:09:40.100 Why would I do that?

00:09:40.980 It always says wash, rinse, repeat.

00:09:42.500 I thought that was a joke.

00:09:43.960 And she says, no, it's real.

00:09:46.680 You have a lot of hair.

00:09:47.880 Your hair is just dirty in the back.

00:09:49.940 And that's why it doesn't feel like it's getting dry.

00:09:52.540 And oh my gosh, did that suggestion change my life?

00:09:56.920 Now, what does that have to do with these hair products?

00:09:59.140 Well, what it has to do with them is that while I was there, I tried this technique in

00:10:03.720 my sister-in-law's shower and this was what she had available. 0.91

00:10:08.240 So I used them.

00:10:09.320 I loved the way my hair smelled.

00:10:10.820 I loved the way my hair felt.

00:10:12.960 And so I thought to myself, you know what?

00:10:14.480 I'm going to try this new technique, washing my hair twice, and I'm going to use these new

00:10:18.880 products that I really like.

00:10:20.300 And I love them.

00:10:21.860 They're fantastic.

00:10:23.060 And that's my tip for 2020.

00:10:25.160 Wash your hair twice if it feels like it's still dirty in the back, because it probably

00:10:28.400 is.

00:10:28.840 If you have a lot of hair, then your hair is probably still dirty in the back unless you're

00:10:33.140 washing it twice.

00:10:34.480 And now it's time to talk about the Big Kahuna makeup.

00:10:38.140 So the first makeup product I want to talk about is this Healthy Foundation by Physicians

00:10:43.000 Formula.

00:10:43.620 If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you need to go back and watch all of my

00:10:47.260 videos, because I think I used this foundation in about 80% of my videos.

00:10:52.760 This is my favorite.

00:10:54.160 I love it.

00:10:55.040 It does such a good job.

00:10:56.180 It stays on a long time.

00:10:58.240 I think I may have actually tested the 24-hour makeup wear time of this, because I put it

00:11:04.700 on in the morning for a wedding, and then I took a red eye back and never took off my

00:11:10.320 makeup and wore this for 24 hours, and it still looked great.

00:11:14.260 That's crazy, and I love this stuff.

00:11:16.640 So I am a huge fan of this foundation.

00:11:19.640 I highly recommend it, and you should really go out and try it.

00:11:23.120 The next thing I want to talk about is my favorite makeup sponge.

00:11:26.360 So this is the EcoTools makeup sponge.

00:11:28.060 I've been using these for a really long time, and I just love them.

00:11:32.120 They're super affordable, and they do a great job.

00:11:35.000 They last a really long time.

00:11:36.600 They don't get moldy, and I really like how it sheers out my makeup, but also gives me a

00:11:41.000 good amount of coverage.

00:11:41.760 So I really enjoy this a lot, and this would be my favorite makeup sponge of the year.

00:11:46.060 Next up is this number seven powder.

00:11:49.140 This is the Lift and Luminate Triple Action Powder, and I love this powder.

00:11:54.380 I heard about this from Jam Beauty 89.

00:11:56.500 I think she was just trying it out in a video.

00:11:58.800 I don't know if she even loved it, but I'll link her channel below, and this powder is

00:12:04.440 the only powder I'm using right now.

00:12:05.800 I love it.

00:12:06.740 It makes my skin feel airbrushed, and I think that it really does a great job of setting

00:12:11.580 my makeup all day, as well as creating a really good canvas for all of my other products to

00:12:16.160 go on top of.

00:12:17.040 So I really enjoy this powder.

00:12:18.900 I don't think anybody's talking about it on YouTube, so this is my strong recommendation.

00:12:23.880 Everyone else should try this.

00:12:25.360 And let me know what you think, because I really like this.

00:12:29.040 Another favorite of mine is this Honest Beauty Blush, which I heard about from Tati.

00:12:33.880 I have been using this for the past month or so, and I've really, really enjoyed it.

00:12:40.120 It does go on and make your skin just look super fresh and pretty, and I really enjoy that.

00:12:45.360 I got the color Peony Pink, which is very pink, but I felt it would look bright on my skin,

00:12:50.580 and that's why I went for it, and I love the way that it looks.

00:12:53.840 I really think it's a nice product, and if you're looking for a cream blush, which can

00:12:57.620 be hard to find at the drugstore, this might be the thing that fits the bill.

00:13:01.580 While we're on the topic of Tati, let's talk about Tati Beauty, because I have used this

00:13:06.860 palette nonstop.

00:13:08.540 I love it.

00:13:09.220 I love all of the colors.

00:13:10.800 I wasn't sure if this was something I was going to be like that into, but I was using

00:13:15.900 this for about two weeks and not touching any other palettes that I own, and I have

00:13:20.140 a few other palettes, so it's not like that's, you know, not a big deal.

00:13:23.740 It is a big deal.

00:13:24.540 I just really like the way that these blend.

00:13:27.400 I really, my favorite has definitely got to be, my favorite formula has definitely got

00:13:31.880 to be the sequin formula.

00:13:33.060 I really like the way these apply for daytime, and I think people don't really know how to

00:13:38.020 use them, but they're so pretty when you apply them with your fingertip.

00:13:41.560 They just look gorgeous, and they're so subtle, and I love that, so I really, really enjoyed

00:13:47.540 this palette this year.

00:13:49.400 Next up is another recommendation from a fellow YouTuber, and that is Allie Glines.

00:13:54.000 She was the one who recommended this L'Oreal Color Riche Shine Lipstick in Glossy Fawn 900.

00:14:01.160 It's what I'm wearing on my lips today, and I just really love this color and the way

00:14:05.620 it feels on my lips.

00:14:06.460 I mean, it's like the best of both worlds.

00:14:07.960 The color is my natural lip color, but a little bit better, and the formula is so moisturizing

00:14:14.140 that even when my lips are dry, it makes my lips look full and really shiny, and I love

00:14:19.360 that.

00:14:19.720 So this is a really nice lipstick, drugstore, and one of my favorites.

00:14:24.820 Next up is this concealer.

00:14:26.680 Now, I've used this concealer on camera for the first time with you guys.

00:14:30.300 This is the Instant Age Rewind Concealer.

00:14:33.160 It's not new, but it is now a staple in my collection, and it's the only concealer that

00:14:39.060 I actually use.

00:14:40.440 I think it looks really nice.

00:14:42.080 It doesn't go into fine lines and creases.

00:14:44.160 I can use it to cover up the blemishes, and I use it on my nose and on my chin.

00:14:48.460 I just think this is a really, really nice concealer, and it's not expensive, which is

00:14:53.420 also great.

00:14:54.540 So highly recommend this.

00:14:56.380 Really enjoy it.

00:14:57.880 2019 favorite.

00:14:58.720 And my last makeup, but it's really a fragrance, suggestion is this one from Target.

00:15:05.200 I really like it.

00:15:06.160 It's called Silver Coast, and I can't tell you what it smells like, but it's a little

00:15:12.500 bit masculine, and I just think it smells really kind of woodsy, and I like that.

00:15:17.760 So I appreciate this.

00:15:19.720 I think it's really nice.

00:15:20.620 Again, not expensive.

00:15:21.900 I got it at Target, and I think you guys might enjoy it.

00:15:24.640 They have a bunch of other fragrances there that are coming in the same kind of bottle,

00:15:28.240 so if you don't like this scent, maybe you'll find another one.

00:15:30.940 And this is a really nice thing that I've been wearing for a lot of 2019.

00:15:35.000 So I just wanted to finish off this video by saying some of my new favorite content creators

00:15:40.820 that I found on Instagram and on YouTube this year that I really enjoy their work.

00:15:46.300 So let's start off by talking about Katie's Bliss.

00:15:49.340 She's on Instagram, and I really like her content.

00:15:52.660 She travels around with her new husband.

00:15:54.500 She's a newlywed, and she just talks about more affordable fashion and travel tips, and

00:16:00.700 she has just a really beautiful feed, and I love the content that she puts out there.

00:16:05.900 It's really warm and inviting.

00:16:07.960 So check her out. 0.99

00:16:09.160 Her handle is Katie's Bliss.

00:16:10.780 I'll link her below.

00:16:11.520 Next up is Mary Orton.

00:16:13.720 I talked about her earlier in my video talking about how I got this hair.

00:16:18.360 I think her content is awesome.

00:16:44.480 One of my favorite YouTubers has to be Sarah Therese.

00:16:53.980 young, which is so beautiful.

00:16:55.760 She was a makeup artist on YouTube, but she transitioned into more home videos and talking

00:17:49.180 She talks about looks where you don't have to buy anything new, just stuff that she already

00:17:52.520 owns, which I really like, because as someone who doesn't buy new makeup all the time,

00:17:56.220 I think it's nice to use what we have, and I just really like her whole vibe.
