00:00:53.160 confidence. It's autumn and I'm super excited about it. And so I wanted to share with you guys

00:00:58.320 five feminine makeup tips for you to incorporate into your routine for fall. Every season I do my

00:01:05.340 makeup just a little bit differently. So for example, in the summer, I'm going to do a lighter

00:01:10.460 face of makeup because it's hot and I'm sweating. In the winter, I can do something a little bit more

00:01:15.300 intense because it's cold and I'm not going to be melting it all off. So I wanted to share with you

00:01:21.060 fall tips for your makeup that are unique to the season and that will make you feel super festive.

00:01:59.320 get into it. So my first tip for fall is to make sure you have healthy looking skin. It's very easy

00:02:07.280 as we transition from hot weather into cooler weather for our skin to get dried out, start flaking,

00:02:13.780 start peeling. So the first thing we want to do when we do our makeup for fall is make sure that our skin

00:02:19.360 looks dewy and healthy and kind of glows from within. Now that's not to say that if you struggle

00:02:24.820 with acne like I do, you need to have perfect skin that you can't have any flaws or problems. But when we

00:02:31.300 are trying to make our complexions look our best, we're allowed to try and make it look like we don't have

00:02:37.060 complexion problems. So we're allowed to try and make it look like we have a beautiful base to start with. So as you

00:02:42.620 can see in the footage here, I definitely started off with a dewy primer. It's a hyaluronic acid primer

00:02:49.140 from Neutrogena. It's a serum. I put that on first just to give my skin a little bit of extra oomph,

00:02:54.900 a little bit of extra healthy kind of plumpness. And then I make my base just look really flawless.

00:03:00.960 And I want to make sure it looks like my skin is healthy. And that means if you have any peeling

00:03:07.180 or anything like that, applying a moisturizer and a serum to help with that and to exfoliate,

00:03:13.700 that's really going to help and make your skin look as healthy as possible in the fall. And of

00:03:19.160 course, that also means for me, I like to put on a fun highlighter. And I'll usually use something

00:03:24.700 that's not super shiny, but that's a little bit more on the natural side, just so you get that glowing

00:03:30.640 from within look. Next up, you're going to want to make sure that you are contouring and bronzing

00:03:35.440 with the right shade. So I think it's important when we're going to do our makeup, when we're going

00:03:40.240 to make our foundation and our base really sort of flat to bring back dimension. So it's important

00:03:46.220 to use contour and bronzer if you're going to do a heavier face of makeup. But in the fall,

00:03:52.620 if you use something that looks really warm-hued, it's going to look a little bit odd. In summertime,

00:03:58.720 that is totally appropriate. It looks like you've gotten a bronze from the sun. So that means it's

00:04:03.280 going to end up looking a little bit warmer. But in the fall, you're sort of trying to create more

00:04:07.920 of a natural shadow, which means that the tone of your bronzer or your contour needs to be a little

00:04:13.440 bit cooler. So as you can see here, I'm going to be using a contour shade that is just a little bit

00:04:19.680 more cool-toned than warm-toned so that it looks a little more natural on my skin and it doesn't look

00:04:25.180 like, how does she have a bronze in the middle of fall? So that is definitely an important aspect

00:04:31.620 of contouring and bronzing in autumn season. Feminine tip number three is to have strong

00:04:38.580 brows. Strong brows in fall is the perfect addition to your makeup routine because if you're going to

00:04:45.940 be doing a strong eye makeup look or stronger contour or a stronger lip, you need to balance that

00:04:52.040 out with a stronger brow. If your brows are really kind of faded or they're not really as defined,

00:04:59.100 then you're going to have them fade into the background. And a strong brow is very, very

00:05:04.780 attractive. Also, it's very in right now, but I tend to like strong brows whenever. It doesn't

00:05:10.260 matter what the trends are for brows. I think that a strong brow just is a really good way to frame

00:05:15.340 your eyes and give you good expression. So having a strong brow in the fall though is especially

00:05:21.420 important because it's going to be competing with the rest of your makeup and you want to make sure that

00:05:26.140 your brows can stand up against that. So I use a brow gel and I also use a brow pomade to define any

00:05:33.920 bald spots in my brows. But if you have a less intense brow situation than I do, you can always

00:05:40.940 just make sure that you go in with that brow gel to hold everything in place. And then if you want to

00:05:46.160 make them a little bit more intense, you can go in with a shade that's either one shade darker than

00:05:51.140 your natural brows or just the same shade and fill them in so that they look a little bit fuller.

00:05:56.500 Number four is wear a strong eye look. In the fall, wearing strong eyeshadow looks is so much fun. It's

00:06:05.440 so appropriate for the season. And I absolutely love wearing these kind of orangey, burnt orange shades

00:06:13.080 in the fall time. I love having the opportunity to play around with makeup a little bit more in the

00:06:18.740 fall than I do in the summer. And so I love to use these pumpkin-y shades. That's how it feels to me.

00:06:23.560 I'm putting pumpkin spice on my eyeshadow. And so I like to do a really intense looking eye. Eyeshadow

00:06:30.700 doesn't need to be overwhelming, really kind of out there, but just doing some level of a smoky eye

00:06:36.560 in the fall. That's kind of that pumpkin shade. It feels very seasonally appropriate. It's also very

00:06:43.060 flattering on the eyes because it brings all of the attention to your eyes, especially if you are

00:06:47.980 like me. If you have hazel eyes or if you have green eyes, it really makes the color pop. It also

00:06:52.920 looks fantastic on blue eyes, which makes sense because blue and orange are on opposite sides of

00:06:57.420 the color wheel. And it's going to look great on brown eyes because everything looks good on brown eyes,

00:07:00.960 but it just brings attention to your eyes. And putting on strong eyeliner, a cat eye, or even just

00:07:07.800 lining your top lid is going to look so feminine and so attractive. I love bringing attention to my

00:07:14.640 eyes. I think it's one of the most lovely things I can do with my makeup in the fall season. So I

00:07:20.540 definitely recommend doing stronger, more kind of intense eye looks in the fall than you would in

00:07:27.180 another season and pulling in those autumnal shades. Last but not least is match your eyeshadow

00:07:33.820 to your lipstick. So there are a couple of ways that you can wear strong lip colors in the fall

00:07:39.480 because wearing a strong lip color in the fall is going to look fantastic. It fits in really well

00:07:44.240 with the season and it will look great on you. So the two ways that you can wear those strong lip

00:07:48.520 colors, those intense bold lip colors, is one by wearing almost nothing on the eyes. Of course putting

00:07:54.880 on mascara, maybe a little bit of eyeliner, but not a lot of shadow, and then letting your lips be the

00:07:59.680 star of the show, or matching your lip color to your eyeshadow color. So I think that there is a

00:08:07.660 misconception. Something I'm realizing is that there's a misconception that you can't wear a bold lip

00:08:12.420 with a bold eye. And generally that's correct. But the reason that that's correct is wearing a bold lip

00:08:19.020 color that is an entirely different color than your eyeshadow is competing. So if you wear a

00:08:24.580 cold kind of smoky eye, maybe with silvers and dark browns, and then you put on a bright red lip,

00:08:32.000 that's not going to look good. Those two things are going to be competing. But if you're wearing

00:08:35.720 like a cinnamon, pumpkiny eyeshadow look, you can put on a cinnamon colored lipstick and they don't

00:08:43.600 compete. They kind of look like you're in the same color family and it's much more flattering. Now I

00:08:48.300 wouldn't go too, too intense with your lips and too, too intense with your eyes because that might be

00:08:52.740 too much. But just something like what I'm doing where I'm wearing a brighter, more bold lip color,

00:08:58.080 but it's in the same color family as my eyeshadow, that is totally appropriate. And that is the way

00:09:03.420 to pull off that look. You want to just make sure that they're in the same color family. So wearing a 0.99

00:09:07.240 more maybe burgundy eyeshadow look with a burgundy lip can look really actually very attractive.
