Classically Abby - 5 MODEST Outfits Perfect For Fall! ｜｜ How to look classic and modest for the autumn season 🍂🍁

00:00:00.000 Hello, Classic Crew, and welcome to today's video where I'm going to be showing you five

00:00:05.080 different outfits that are all classic, modest, and are perfect for fall.

00:00:12.380 So fall is officially upon us, and it doesn't necessarily mean that the weather has gotten

00:00:18.380 the memo, but it is officially fall. So I thought it would be fun to share with you guys some fall

00:00:23.920 fashion inspiration. I have five outfits to share with you guys that are perfect for fall,

00:00:29.220 and I absolutely love them. I'm really excited to wear them this season. Now dressing modestly in

00:00:34.640 fall is not that hard just because we are a little bit colder, so you're covering up more skin, but I

00:00:40.360 did want to show you these classic and modest outfits that are a little bit more covered up,

00:00:44.800 but are still very flattering, are still very stylish. And I just love fall fashion generally.

00:00:50.120 Am I the only one? I think fall fashion is maybe the best fashion of the year because you get to

00:00:55.120 wear boots, you get to wear tights, you get to wear skirts and pants and sweaters and just layer things

00:01:01.640 and coats. Oh my gosh, coats. Everything looks so good in fall, and the fashion is so much fun. But

00:01:08.760 this is the first year that I've been super excited for fall to come. The funny thing about it is that

00:01:13.840 my birthday isn't fall, so theoretically I should love fall, but I don't normally have such a strong

00:01:18.900 attachment to it. But this year, as soon as September 1st hit, I was feeling very fallish.

00:01:25.420 And I think that may have been because, as I announced in a scoop video, I am moving with my

00:01:30.700 husband to Virginia. And I had an idea that this was coming, and when fall hit, it sort of felt like,

00:01:37.340 okay, everything is changing at the same time. The seasons are changing, we're moving, we're going to

00:01:42.560 a new place. And it just sort of made sense in my mind. And so I really started looking forward to fall

00:01:48.060 because it signified this big change. But outside of all that, I'm really excited to share these

00:01:53.860 five outfits with you guys. So let's get into it. So outfit number one is this black dress with a

00:01:59.560 sweater and my new favorite boots. So I actually purchased this dress right as summer was ending

00:02:06.200 from Kohl's. I love it. I've put it on my Instagram a few times now, and it's just really comfortable

00:02:12.500 and easy to wear. And I find that it's very flattering, even though it's not clingy at all. But

00:02:17.940 I actually love the fabric. I think that the pattern on it is really beautiful. I like that

00:02:23.420 it's black with these orange flowers. So even though it's a cotton, and theoretically you could

00:02:27.760 definitely wear it in summer, it skews more fall-like because it does have those fall colors. But I was

00:02:33.620 trying to figure out how exactly I could transition it for fall because it does have a longer length

00:02:38.540 and the sleeves are short. So I went to TJ Maxx and I found this sweater, which I absolutely love.

00:02:44.880 It's a cardigan because it really cinches the waist in a flattering way without being clingy

00:02:50.900 all over. It does have a little bit more of that slouchy fall feel, but the waist is tight. And that

00:02:56.920 really, really works when you're wearing a dress like this. I also like that the color isn't orange,

00:03:02.800 that it's actually more of like a dusty rose. And I think it's a very, very flattering mix,

00:03:08.360 these two pieces, this cardigan and this dress. Now I decided to pair it with these boots that I

00:03:14.680 just recently got from Target. And I think it's really important if you're going to wear a midi

00:03:18.340 skirt in the fall to wear an ankle boot. Ankle boots with midi skirts are so flattering. You can

00:03:23.840 get a sock bootie. Those are the ones that are really tight around your ankle. Or you can get a

00:03:27.160 boot that's a little bit more like this one that has a little bit more space around the ankle. But

00:03:31.140 it's just very flattering. And it's much more flattering than a normal boot, which covers the entire leg

00:03:36.380 and can make your leg look kind of stocky. But a short boot like this one is just going to be

00:03:42.420 really flattering. And I really like that this is just a warm brown. I think it's a really pretty

00:03:47.960 boot. It looks super expensive and it's from Target. So I think that's pretty darn cool. And I paired

00:03:53.800 this outfit with a statement necklace that has these kind of see-through flowers. I really love this

00:03:59.060 necklace. I think it's really beautiful. And I didn't want to detract from the necklace at all. So I

00:04:03.020 paired it with these little gold hoops that are just very small and don't compete, but are just

00:04:07.580 pretty on their own. And then the final accessory that I paired this outfit with was this watch. I

00:04:12.360 really liked the tan band as well as the rose gold. And I just think it works really well with the

00:04:18.360 entire outfit. So that is outfit number one. I would say that this is just a really nice, casual, easy

00:04:23.440 outfit. For outfit number two, I paired these wide leg navy pants with a blue and white sweater. If you

00:04:29.860 thought you were going to escape navy and white for this fall fashion video, you are wrong. Navy and

00:04:35.500 white are my favorite colors. And if I can wear them in every season, I absolutely will. And this

00:04:40.580 is a really good way to transition these colors into fall, to transition this nautical feel into fall.

00:04:46.840 And so what I did was I paired these beautiful wide leg trousers, which I absolutely love. I think

00:04:52.400 they're so flattering and so easy to wear with this navy and white striped sweater from Nautica. And

00:04:58.800 the way that I wanted to wear it was I didn't want to have to tuck it in to the pants because I knew

00:05:03.700 that wouldn't be so flattering. It would kind of look bulky. But I did want to get that feel as if

00:05:08.280 it were tucked in, kind of the blousey effect. So what I did was a trick that I learned from another

00:05:13.760 YouTuber named Shea Whitney. And this trick is taking a belt, putting it around your waist, over the

00:05:20.980 sweater, put it as tight as is comfortable, and then kind of pull the sweater out and keep it tucked

00:05:26.960 in. And it'll create this really beautiful blousey effect without creating bulk where you tuck it in. 1.00

00:05:33.620 And I just absolutely love the way it looks. I think it's really flattering. And I also just think

00:05:38.940 it's really, really classic. This is just that perfect blend between menswear and femininity. And

00:05:44.520 I just think it looks beautiful. I paired it with these navy heels. I really love these heels. They're

00:05:49.460 so comfortable. They have a high heel, but they don't feel high. I can wear them for a really long

00:05:53.480 time and it doesn't bother me. And I wanted to keep the accessories for this look pretty simple.

00:05:58.860 So I just put on a pair of pearl earrings. They're fake, but they just look really good with an outfit

00:06:03.360 like this. And this navy watch, which I am currently loving, it's by the company Nord Green. And I

00:06:09.760 actually have an affiliate link with them. So if you want to get a discount, go ahead and hit that link

00:06:14.480 in my description box. But this is just such a classic outfit. I absolutely love the way that it looks.

00:06:19.760 And I'm really excited to wear this in the fall. Like, I cannot wait.

00:06:24.920 Okay, guys. I'm sitting in front of very bright lights. The vest is coming off. I gots to. It's

00:06:30.460 just too hot. I can't. Next up, let's talk about look number three, which is this rust dress. I got

00:06:38.540 this at H&M three years ago, maybe even four. And I love this dress. It's so easy. It's so simple.

00:06:45.140 It's so fall. It's dressy, but it doesn't feel like you have to put in a lot of effort

00:06:50.260 to wear it. And there's so many different ways that you can wear it. I just chose to

00:06:54.880 do it very simply. I paired it with these black heels. They're just a little heel, kind

00:06:59.660 of almost like a kitten heel, but the heel itself is chunkier. And I really like the way

00:07:03.640 that these look. They're very modern while also being very classic. And I didn't choose

00:07:08.500 to wear black tights with this look, but you definitely could if that was something, if it

00:07:12.700 was cold out or if that's just more your style, you absolutely could do that. I also wanted

00:07:16.820 to dress this up quite a bit because it is a dressier dress. I think this would be perfect

00:07:21.000 for something like Thanksgiving if you have a dressy meal for Thanksgiving. And so I put

00:07:25.960 on these gold kind of hoopie earrings with a few different circles. I love these earrings.

00:07:30.920 They're so pretty. They're not heavy, which as we've talked about on my channel before,

00:07:34.740 having a heavy statement earring isn't ideal. These are a statement earring that are not that

00:07:38.500 heavy. And I just love the way that they look. They're so dressy and so classic and so feminine.

00:07:43.920 And then I just put on this really fancy studded bracelet. And that was the whole look. I just

00:07:49.020 really liked how simple this is. That's one thing I love about dresses generally is that you can just 0.73

00:07:54.540 put on a dress and that's pretty much it. You're done. And so something like this, which obviously

00:07:58.960 is very fall appropriate given the color scheme on it, is lovely. And it has that really beautiful

00:08:04.660 kind of flutter sleeve, which I love as well. So this is a great outfit if you just want to kind

00:08:09.620 of keep it easy, but also you want to look dressy. Outfit number four is the one that I actually still

00:08:14.160 have on right now. And that is this really fun skirt that I got at TJ Maxx a while ago. This top,

00:08:19.880 which I think I also got at TJ Maxx. This vest, which I also got at TJ Maxx. Okay, I'm sensing a

00:08:24.960 theme here. I really like TJ Maxx and there's one pretty close to my house. And that's usually where I do

00:08:29.760 most of my shopping if I'm going to go shopping. And when I'm with my mom, she also enjoys going

00:08:34.740 to TJ Maxx. She was the one who purchased a couple of these pieces with me actually. And the thing that

00:08:39.400 I like about this outfit is that it kind of is this meeting of something that's a little bit

00:08:43.440 dressier. So the top and the skirt with the vest over top and the mules, which makes it all kind of

00:08:48.500 look a little bit more casual, but you could definitely take off the vest and then you'd be more

00:08:51.900 dressy, which is kind of a fun transitional piece. And I like that. So to start off with the base of the

00:08:58.800 outfit, I'm actually wearing this top, which is actually, I think a tunic. It's a little bit long

00:09:03.460 and I just think it looks really nice with this because it's blousey, but it cinches in at the

00:09:07.620 waist with this elastic band at the waist. And so that's very flattering. And then wearing it with

00:09:13.660 the vest over top just really transitions it for fall, but also, like I said, makes it a bit more

00:09:18.560 casual. You could easily remove it if you want it to be more dressy, but I liked the idea of layering

00:09:22.960 it and just kind of having a little bit more of a casual look with that feminine piece underneath. 1.00

00:09:27.220 And then I paired it with these mules, which are so cool. I love these mules so much. They're so

00:09:34.160 comfortable. They give you a little bit of height and I think that they just make every outfit look

00:09:38.780 like you tried a little bit harder. And with this outfit, it's just like the perfect match. Now I

00:09:42.980 paired it with some interesting pieces because I thought this outfit was pretty interesting because

00:09:47.280 it is that mixture of dressy and casual. And so I put on these kind of purple earrings, which are

00:09:52.240 definitely more dressy. And I paired that with the chain necklace, which is to me something that's a

00:09:58.340 little bit more trendy. And I like the idea that you have kind of this very classic, beautiful earring

00:10:04.320 with something that is a little bit more trendy and does kind of create that mix of casual and fancy.

00:10:11.000 And I finished off the look with this watch, which I just really liked the way that it looked with the

00:10:14.760 rest of the pieces. And so this is kind of a look that, like I said, you can easily transition from

00:10:19.140 casual to dressy, but that vest will also keep you warm in fall. The last outfit that I have here is

00:10:24.560 this green skirt, this sweater, and these brown boots. And I really liked this outfit. It is a

00:10:30.040 little bit more casual, but I almost feel like this is what brunch with your girlfriends in fall looks

00:10:34.580 like. It's got this kind of fun feel to it where it doesn't feel too dressy. And I really love these

00:10:42.840 boots with a skirt this length. I just think it's really flattering. As well, I did the same thing here

00:10:47.380 that I did with outfit number two, where I tucked the sweater into a belt and it created that blousey

00:10:51.820 effect. And it hit right at the waist, which was very flattering and works with this whole outfit.

00:10:57.500 And of course, the colors of the top really bring out the color in the boots as well. It matches.

00:11:02.720 It's got this kind of cool woodsy effect because the skirt always feels like a safari to me.

00:11:07.820 And I like pairing it with pieces that work in the same way. I paired it with these wood earrings,

00:11:13.080 again, playing into that feel. And this watch, which I think works really well with it. I just think

00:11:18.900 this outfit is really interesting because it's kind of feminine, but definitely is fall-ish. I think

00:11:24.900 it's a little bit different in fall to be feminine because you're not just going to be wearing dresses

00:11:29.180 with flowers. You kind of have to find your own version of feminine in the fall. And this, to me,

00:11:34.660 is a really good compromise. It's got kind of the safari feel, which is a little bit more masculine,

00:11:40.900 but it's a skirt. And then you've got the sweater that's bloused up that will really bring attention 0.51

00:11:46.620 to your waist, which is always very flattering. So that's it for all of the outfits that I put

00:11:51.360 together for you guys. I really enjoyed doing skirts primarily in this video because I think

00:11:56.340 that a lot of people just use jeans in the winter and the fall because they don't want to be cold.

00:12:00.680 But I wanted to give you guys some inspiration with skirts, with dresses. I'm not generally a skirt

00:12:05.260 girl, but I do have a few skirts that I enjoy. Most of the things that I wear are dresses and then

00:12:10.840 of course I do have some jeans. And I'm not opposed to wearing jeans. I absolutely love wearing jeans,

00:12:15.060 but I wanted to give you guys a little bit of a different feel for this video. So I hope you guys

00:12:19.800 enjoyed it. Let me know in the comments which of the outfits was your absolute favorite. I'd love to
