00:00:34.640 fall is not that hard just because we are a little bit colder, so you're covering up more skin, but I

00:00:44.800 but are still very flattering, are still very stylish. And I just love fall fashion generally.

00:01:18.900 attachment to it. But this year, as soon as September 1st hit, I was feeling very fallish.

00:01:30.700 husband to Virginia. And I had an idea that this was coming, and when fall hit, it sort of felt like,

00:01:37.340 okay, everything is changing at the same time. The seasons are changing, we're moving, we're going to

00:01:42.560 a new place. And it just sort of made sense in my mind. And so I really started looking forward to fall

00:01:48.060 because it signified this big change. But outside of all that, I'm really excited to share these

00:01:53.860 five outfits with you guys. So let's get into it. So outfit number one is this black dress with a

00:01:59.560 sweater and my new favorite boots. So I actually purchased this dress right as summer was ending

00:02:06.200 from Kohl's. I love it. I've put it on my Instagram a few times now, and it's just really comfortable

00:02:12.500 and easy to wear. And I find that it's very flattering, even though it's not clingy at all. But

00:02:17.940 I actually love the fabric. I think that the pattern on it is really beautiful. I like that

00:02:23.420 it's black with these orange flowers. So even though it's a cotton, and theoretically you could

00:02:27.760 definitely wear it in summer, it skews more fall-like because it does have those fall colors. But I was

00:02:33.620 trying to figure out how exactly I could transition it for fall because it does have a longer length

00:02:38.540 and the sleeves are short. So I went to TJ Maxx and I found this sweater, which I absolutely love.

00:02:44.880 It's a cardigan because it really cinches the waist in a flattering way without being clingy

00:02:50.900 all over. It does have a little bit more of that slouchy fall feel, but the waist is tight. And that

00:02:56.920 really, really works when you're wearing a dress like this. I also like that the color isn't orange,

00:03:02.800 that it's actually more of like a dusty rose. And I think it's a very, very flattering mix,

00:03:08.360 these two pieces, this cardigan and this dress. Now I decided to pair it with these boots that I

00:03:14.680 just recently got from Target. And I think it's really important if you're going to wear a midi

00:03:18.340 skirt in the fall to wear an ankle boot. Ankle boots with midi skirts are so flattering. You can

00:03:23.840 get a sock bootie. Those are the ones that are really tight around your ankle. Or you can get a

00:03:27.160 boot that's a little bit more like this one that has a little bit more space around the ankle. But

00:03:31.140 it's just very flattering. And it's much more flattering than a normal boot, which covers the entire leg

00:03:36.380 and can make your leg look kind of stocky. But a short boot like this one is just going to be

00:03:42.420 really flattering. And I really like that this is just a warm brown. I think it's a really pretty

00:03:47.960 boot. It looks super expensive and it's from Target. So I think that's pretty darn cool. And I paired

00:03:53.800 this outfit with a statement necklace that has these kind of see-through flowers. I really love this

00:03:59.060 necklace. I think it's really beautiful. And I didn't want to detract from the necklace at all. So I

00:04:03.020 paired it with these little gold hoops that are just very small and don't compete, but are just

00:04:07.580 pretty on their own. And then the final accessory that I paired this outfit with was this watch. I

00:04:12.360 really liked the tan band as well as the rose gold. And I just think it works really well with the

00:04:18.360 entire outfit. So that is outfit number one. I would say that this is just a really nice, casual, easy

00:04:23.440 outfit. For outfit number two, I paired these wide leg navy pants with a blue and white sweater. If you

00:04:29.860 thought you were going to escape navy and white for this fall fashion video, you are wrong. Navy and

00:04:35.500 white are my favorite colors. And if I can wear them in every season, I absolutely will. And this

00:04:40.580 is a really good way to transition these colors into fall, to transition this nautical feel into fall.

00:04:46.840 And so what I did was I paired these beautiful wide leg trousers, which I absolutely love. I think

00:04:52.400 they're so flattering and so easy to wear with this navy and white striped sweater from Nautica. And

00:04:58.800 the way that I wanted to wear it was I didn't want to have to tuck it in to the pants because I knew

00:05:03.700 that wouldn't be so flattering. It would kind of look bulky. But I did want to get that feel as if

00:05:08.280 it were tucked in, kind of the blousey effect. So what I did was a trick that I learned from another

00:05:13.760 YouTuber named Shea Whitney. And this trick is taking a belt, putting it around your waist, over the

00:05:20.980 sweater, put it as tight as is comfortable, and then kind of pull the sweater out and keep it tucked

00:05:26.960 in. And it'll create this really beautiful blousey effect without creating bulk where you tuck it in.

00:05:33.620 And I just absolutely love the way it looks. I think it's really flattering. And I also just think

00:05:38.940 it's really, really classic. This is just that perfect blend between menswear and femininity. And

00:05:44.520 I just think it looks beautiful. I paired it with these navy heels. I really love these heels. They're

00:06:54.880 do it very simply. I paired it with these black heels. They're just a little heel, kind

00:06:59.660 of almost like a kitten heel, but the heel itself is chunkier. And I really like the way

00:08:14.160 have on right now. And that is this really fun skirt that I got at TJ Maxx a while ago. This top,

00:08:19.880 which I think I also got at TJ Maxx. This vest, which I also got at TJ Maxx. Okay, I'm sensing a

00:08:24.960 theme here. I really like TJ Maxx and there's one pretty close to my house. And that's usually where I do

00:08:29.760 most of my shopping if I'm going to go shopping. And when I'm with my mom, she also enjoys going

00:08:34.740 to TJ Maxx. She was the one who purchased a couple of these pieces with me actually. And the thing that

00:08:39.400 I like about this outfit is that it kind of is this meeting of something that's a little bit

00:08:43.440 dressier. So the top and the skirt with the vest over top and the mules, which makes it all kind of

00:08:48.500 look a little bit more casual, but you could definitely take off the vest and then you'd be more

00:08:51.900 dressy, which is kind of a fun transitional piece. And I like that. So to start off with the base of the

00:08:58.800 outfit, I'm actually wearing this top, which is actually, I think a tunic. It's a little bit long

00:09:03.460 and I just think it looks really nice with this because it's blousey, but it cinches in at the

00:09:07.620 waist with this elastic band at the waist. And so that's very flattering. And then wearing it with

00:09:13.660 the vest over top just really transitions it for fall, but also, like I said, makes it a bit more

00:09:18.560 casual. You could easily remove it if you want it to be more dressy, but I liked the idea of layering

00:09:22.960 it and just kind of having a little bit more of a casual look with that feminine piece underneath.

00:10:14.760 rest of the pieces. And so this is kind of a look that, like I said, you can easily transition from

00:10:19.140 casual to dressy, but that vest will also keep you warm in fall. The last outfit that I have here is

00:10:30.040 little bit more casual, but I almost feel like this is what brunch with your girlfriends in fall looks
