So I bought the Wave Artist for a couple of reasons. I watched Leanne Says video on using

a hair crimper kind of thing and she was comparing two and one of them was from Amazon

and one of them was from Sephora. The Amazon one was much more affordable as you might imagine

and the one from Sephora was a lot more expensive but it turned out that when she tried the one

spend $180 or whatever it was on something like this so I went on Amazon and I found this Bedhead

Wave Artist and it was $26 or $27 right around there and that was way more in my budget but I

liked the way her hair looked. It kind of looks like beachy mermaid waves and it's kind of hard

to do that with all of the tools that I have even though I have a million tools. I thought this would

be an easy fast way for me to get that same look so we're going to try it and let's hop in. So the

first thing I'll say is that I have used this twice. I didn't do a great job the first time so I

didn't really like it but the second time I used it I was using smaller pieces and I really liked the

result and it lasted for like a week. So I really liked it the second time I used it. I figured the

third time would be the perfect time to try it on camera. Third time's a charm. I'm going to walk

you through how to use this thing. So the first thing that you'll see on here is that it has an

open and lock clasp so if you slide this up it just pops open and if you close it and push it back

it locks. The next thing is it has an on off switch and then it has a high low dial. It does not have

specific temperatures but I am putting mine kind of a little bit past the middle and toward high

but like a little bit past the middle. I'm going to switch this on and let's see how long it takes

to warm up. So I let it heat up for about a minute and 15 seconds and it seems like it's about ready

to go. That's not super long. I know some people want a hair curling or a hair tool that will heat up

thing I'm going to do is I'm going to separate my hair in two sections. So we're going to start off

and the next thing I'm going to do is put on a heat protectant. So I'm going to be using the

Tresemme heat tamer which has heat protection up to 450 degrees and I'm just going to spray that

So the next step is the big reveal. So I'm going to unlock this here and then I'm actually going to

flip it upside down. I think that this way doesn't give you as good of a curl but we'll try it and see

because I might be misremembering. And you're going to kind of take a small section, clamp it down

and open it. And so I kind of held it for about three seconds each time.

So that is my trick friends is to clamp, clamp and pull up so that it gets that little curve

So the next thing I want to show you guys is what I did and what I would do kind of for

a holiday hairstyle, which is just grab a small piece around your face like that, twist it

And then grab a barrette or a clip, I'm using this one right here, and I'm just going to

slide that under the two pieces of hair and secure.
