00:03:08.200 into my head when I was thinking about pearls was of course Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

00:03:14.060 That is such an iconic look. The little black dress, the strings of pearls around her neck,

00:03:18.880 and she just looks absolutely beautiful and classic in that look. It is super iconic and I think we can

00:03:23.620 all kind of reference that. So I really wanted to start off by wearing an outfit inspired by that.

00:03:28.980 I chose a little black dress from my closet that I love. It's so modest. It fits me so well.

00:03:35.140 It's just a little A-line but it's very fitted on top which I love. It has a very high neckline but

00:03:40.100 it hits below the knee and I absolutely love this dress. It's super flattering and very versatile

00:03:44.660 and I just paired it with a little pair of black heels. I love these because they're pretty classic

00:03:50.100 but they have that modern twist of the lucite heel which I love. They're just a little short heel

00:03:54.580 which is very kind of reminiscent of all of the heels that Audrey Hepburn wears in her movie. She

00:03:59.380 always wears just a little heel and I loved kind of that look. I thought that would be like a little

00:04:03.240 nice throwback to her and I also chose a little sparkly clutch to wear because if you're gonna

00:04:08.200 wear this maybe to a cocktail party or something it's nice to have something that's going to catch

00:04:12.280 the eye but that isn't super distracting and this purse just does the trick. But of course the thing

00:05:11.320 beautiful clothing and one of the things that really did make her stand out was the way that she wore pearls

00:05:15.880 and I think something about her that was very kind of iconic was her short little square boxy jackets.

00:05:21.240 So I wanted to pick one of those out of my closet and pair it with something that was a little bit

00:05:25.080 more fitted and I think that was a good way for me to emulate her look without it just being an exact

00:05:31.160 replica of her outfit and of course wearing a beautiful set of pearls that just kind of again

00:05:37.240 brings it all together. So I'm wearing this beautiful dress from Antonio Milani. I love this dress.

00:05:42.520 It has a really beautiful square neckline. It's very fitted and I paired it with a Club Monaco little boxy

00:05:48.440 jacket which I think is very flattering. If you're going to wear a boxy jacket wearing something fitted

00:06:59.240 the Iron Lady. I love that she was such a strong woman but always wore very feminine suits, wore pearls,

00:07:11.960 and so I wanted to take inspiration from that. I didn't want to replicate her look entirely so I did

00:07:17.400 decide to wear a wide leg pant instead of wearing a skirt suit. I thought that that would just kind of

00:07:23.000 bring it a little bit more into the modern day. So I wore these navy blue wide leg pants which if you've

00:07:28.360 watched my channel you've seen me wear these plenty of times. I absolutely love these pants. I just think

00:07:32.840 they're so modern and I wear them all the time for my channel because I just think they're such a good

00:07:38.440 staple to have in your closet. And I paired them with just this blouse, this button-down blouse,

00:07:42.840 that's a little bit more cream than white and I like that it's kind of this off-white color. It's

00:07:48.600 very flattering. And then I just chose this J.Crew blazer and threw that on top. So it looks like a

00:07:54.360 suit but it's actually complete separates. Everything in here is separates. I wore a navy blue heel as well

00:07:59.560 just to keep everything neutral and a navy blue watch which again I love because I really wanted

00:08:04.440 the focus of this outfit to be the pearls. I think that this outfit really benefits from having a pearl

00:08:09.880 necklace. It goes from something that's a little bit more masculine and adds that touch of femininity,

00:08:47.880 a short heel. So I really wanted to emulate that look today. Not necessarily any specific look but

00:08:53.720 just something similar to what she generally wears. So I took this dress out of my closet which I

00:08:58.600 haven't worn for quite a while. It's a Brooks Brothers dress that I love. I actually wore this

00:09:02.760 when my husband and I got engaged and I chose to wear it with these shoes which I actually wore on

00:09:07.720 my wedding day. And this whole outfit is something that I think is very classic, very royal. It's very

00:09:14.440 simple but flattering and I just love the pairing of the silver and the gold in the actual pattern of the

00:09:20.280 dress which allows you to wear silver and gold accessories. So the shoes are a little bit more

00:09:25.240 silver but the necklace that I paired this look with was actually a pendant rather than a string

00:09:31.480 of pearls because of the neckline. This Akoya Pearl and Diamond Melissa pendant is absolutely lovely. I

00:10:29.960 just a little bit more casual. And as you guys know most of us are not dressing up super often these

00:10:34.680 days. We are generally wearing things that are just a bit more casual and a little bit more dressed

00:10:39.080 down. I like to still look a little bit more dressed up and elevated even when I'm casual.

00:10:44.120 So this is the look that I chose. I found this skirt on Amazon and I love it. It's super easy,

00:10:50.200 was very inexpensive, fits really nicely. It's just this navy blue and white polka dot skirt with

00:10:56.360 buttons down the side. It's a cool length. It's more like a midi for me. I don't know if you're a

00:11:01.000 little bit shorter. It might be more like a maxi. I really love how it fits. And I paired it with this

00:11:06.120 sweater that's from Target. I love the length of this sweater. I tucked it in just to get that blousey

00:11:11.160 effect but it has really cool dolman sleeves and a very interesting neckline. So I then paired this

00:11:16.280 look with blue lace-up booties just to make it even more casual. This is something I would wear

00:11:20.440 to a farmer's market or maybe just to hang out with friends on a Sunday afternoon to a girl's

00:11:26.840 brunch or something like that. And what I thought would elevate this outfit just a bit more was a

00:11:31.800 small pair of pearl earrings. I love the pearl earrings with this especially with the polka dot

00:11:37.160 skirt. I just think that is so classic. Such a cool combination and I absolutely love these earrings
