Classically Abby - I Can't Get Anything Done...And I'm Okay With It 😂 ⧸⧸ Day In My Life As A MOM

00:00:00.000 do da do da do

00:00:02.200 good morning friends and welcome to a vlog it's about 6 30 in the morning and my baby has gotten

00:00:23.220 up he's decided to change his schedule he used to be waking up at 7 15 7 45 and the last few

00:00:29.760 mornings it's been 6 30 so good news is I went to bed at 9 45 last night and he

00:00:36.060 got up a couple times the middle of the night too so I'm gonna go get him and we're gonna

00:00:41.820 spend some time together let's get started

00:00:59.760 you want to use your feet

00:01:04.200 all righty so I've been up for about half an hour I fed my baby I changed his diaper the house is a

00:01:21.360 little bit of a mess but the next thing that I normally do is I make myself some breakfast

00:01:25.920 and I pump because I'm usually a little bit engorged in the mornings and I'm actually not

00:01:32.520 terrible this morning but I also like building up that stash just as an easy first thing in the

00:01:37.620 morning pump and then I have extra for making him purees and I have extra to donate if I want

00:01:43.560 and stuff like that so I'm going to start by making myself some breakfast normally I either make

00:01:50.880 something a little fancier fancy aka something on the stove um which would be like eggs and toast

00:01:57.180 but usually I do that for lunch so for breakfast normally what I do is I make myself some whole fat

00:02:03.360 chobani greek yogurt with some honey and granola and then I and it's like a high protein granola

00:02:11.060 and then I also make myself a cup of decaf coffee sit there eat my breakfast pump and then um kind of get

00:02:18.720 into the rest of the day so I finished up breakfast and pumping but I wanted to show you guys this

00:02:23.720 thing from Haka it allows me to make a little breast milk ice pop for baby boy to kind of suck on and

00:02:30.320 chew on you can hear he's teething so I'm gonna go give this to him but I just think this is so cool

00:02:35.540 uh and he he's been enjoying it it's been helping I also listened to my book for book club so if you

00:02:43.680 didn't know already know I have a sub stack newsletter and on my sub stack newsletter we do book club

00:02:49.080 uh we meet up once a month for a zoom call and this month we're doing kind of a beach read something

00:02:55.640 a little more laid back because we've been doing some heavy stuff lately and it's called the undomestic

00:02:59.740 goddess by sophie kinsella it's very cute very uh on theme for my brand and we're uh I enjoy sophie

00:03:08.540 kinsella a lot I find her writing to be very fun and kind of laid back and easy so it's fun to read

00:03:14.440 so if you want to join head over to classicallyabby.substack.com

00:03:19.760 okay so mr. man is down for his first nap of the day it's about 8 20 so he went down at about 8 18

00:03:33.020 and he'll probably sleep for about an hour um I'm going to take this time to get ready for the day

00:03:41.280 so I'm gonna do my hair do my makeup and get dressed shower a little bit maybe shave we'll see

00:03:49.220 what I have time for my mom is actually coming by today to help uh so this is kind of like the first

00:03:55.920 time we're doing that she hasn't really done that quite quite a lot so she's coming by to help and I

00:04:01.040 think she's going to help with some of the chores so I don't have to spend a ton of time doing the

00:04:05.160 dishes and doing the laundry which is usually how I start my day usually the first thing I do is put

00:04:09.600 away the clean dishes wash the dirty dishes and put in a lot of laundry um but I think she's going 0.97

00:04:14.420 to help me with that a little bit so I can do some work which is super nice so I might help her out 1.00

00:04:20.960 by putting away the clean dishes so that she has room to put the washed dishes into the drying rack 0.92

00:04:28.220 because as you can see I've got some clean dishes here so yeah I know this is kind of random but I

00:04:35.620 quickly wanted to mention this toothbrush that I recently got it's an electric toothbrush it's by the

00:04:40.880 brand gleam I got it at Walgreens um but I was looking for an electric toothbrush and I really like

00:04:47.820 this one it has a little timer inside where it like buzzes to let you know kind of to move to a different

00:04:52.540 side of your mouth and then at the end it just stops after two minutes but it feels good on the

00:04:56.660 gums it's really it's like attractive so I don't know I really like it it's very affordable so I'll

00:05:02.700 link it for you guys below if you're looking for a new electric toothbrush okay so I took my shower

00:05:07.520 and I got dressed so now I have to do my hair and my makeup for the day um as you can see I have a pretty

00:05:16.580 intense wave underneath my hair the top layer never looks right so I'm going to use a waver and do the top

00:05:24.000 layer of my hair I've been curling my hair here in Florida and it just immediately falls out because

00:05:28.860 of the humidity so I don't think it's even that useful um even though I like the look of it so I'm

00:05:34.480 just going to stick with a waver we're going to put some mousse in and then I'm going to do just a little

00:05:39.640 a little bit of makeup today all righty so I am all ready for the day I did my waver I put on just

00:05:48.380 like a natural face of makeup in case I want to record a video for work today or if I want to pop

00:05:54.660 on Instagram I don't need to have a like full face of makeup on Instagram anymore if you've been

00:06:01.200 following me you might be seeing that I've been posting more videos and stories uh without makeup

00:06:07.220 because I don't think filters are good and I don't put makeup on every day but it's always nice to have

00:06:11.600 a little bit of makeup on so I don't feel self-conscious at all or anything so I also love putting on makeup I

00:06:16.780 just think it's fun and it allows me to flex my creative muscle and I just feel more put together

00:06:22.520 so I'm all put together is the end of that story and now I'm going to sit down and figure out kind

00:06:30.760 of how I want to tackle the rest of the day at this point it's about 9 15 um so he's been sleeping

00:06:36.980 for about an hour and we'll see how long he goes he's not supposed to sleep longer than two hours during

00:06:42.020 the day but he might sleep about an hour and a half so I will wake him up if needed but at this point

00:06:47.860 I'm just gonna let him sleep and uh yeah

00:06:50.920 is there a baby in here

00:07:05.600 okay so my mom is here she uh probably doesn't want to be on camera so I won't force that on her

00:07:23.600 um but she did the dishes which was so nice and baby boy is up we fed him he didn't really want to

00:07:32.560 eat so much so he'll probably want to eat right before his nap much more and I was able to actually

00:07:37.420 shoot a picture for my Instagram which I haven't done so I can show you guys my outfit actually let

00:07:42.780 me show you my outfit in this vlog I'll go show you in his nursery because that's where the best mirror

00:07:48.120 is okay so the lighting in here isn't the best but this is my new dress I love it I don't know what

00:07:54.640 this is called if you know the name of this style of dress let me know because I would love to get more 0.68

00:07:59.160 dresses like this with this stretchy part here under the bust and then one at the waist so you get 0.69

00:08:04.120 this kind of like effect right here I don't know if you can see yeah exactly it's so pretty I just love it

00:08:10.780 and it's so flattering and I can put a shirt underneath to cover up for modesty reasons my cleavage

00:08:17.140 and I just love the print it's so pretty much more fall but like the fabric is light enough that I could

00:08:23.020 wear it all year round and yeah so I really love this dress PS this is kind of like a sneak peek

00:08:29.200 of baby boy's nursery I want to do a video on my channel talking about how I have styled his nursery

00:08:36.500 now um so let me know if that's something you guys would want to to see because this is different than

00:08:41.320 it was when I showed you the nursery reveal before he was born a lot of things have changed um but yeah

00:08:48.020 so this is my dress this is a little sneak peek of his nursery that's that's where we're at so now I'm

00:08:55.100 gonna try and do some work since my mom is here she's gonna help out with the baby which is really nice

00:08:59.060 and exciting I feel really blessed um so I'm gonna try and get some substack work done and then we will

00:09:07.240 continue with the day I mean it's only 10 40 so we're still still early in the day

00:09:13.920 okay so you're probably getting that annoying fan sound but Jacob and I are going to go to the gym

00:09:32.120 now it's um 11 45 around I need to check that I think it's around 11 45 um but Mr. Baby is down

00:09:41.800 for his nap and it's Jacob's lunch break he works from home for right now so we're gonna go to the

00:09:48.200 gym together we haven't really gotten to do this yet but because my mom is here she can stay here

00:09:52.560 with the baby while we go exercise um which is good so we're gonna go

00:09:56.980 okay so we are back from the gym oh man the lighting in here y'all it's not great because we got these

00:10:06.600 blackout curtains but that was great um I'm very hungry so I'm gonna make something to eat I'm gonna

00:10:12.920 make something for Jacob to eat and I fed Mr. Baby so he is all good um and then I have to continue

00:10:21.240 doing some work so my mom's gonna be here for a little bit longer so she can continue to help out

00:10:25.100 um but I gotta eat and then we're going to do some work and hopefully I'll get that substack newsletter

00:10:30.640 that are out today and get the rest of this week kind of planned out so that is the plan from here

00:10:37.020 but we did weight lifting which Jacob is like training me how to do it because he's trained me before

00:10:42.540 in different ways but now we're doing some new exercises really the thing is is how am I going to keep

00:10:48.520 this up with little man and then when I get pregnant again and then when we have another baby

00:10:54.960 and all that so I would like to get good at weight lifting in this interim period before we try for

00:11:01.080 another baby so that I can continue to lift healthily when I'm pregnant you're not supposed to start a new 0.98

00:11:06.940 exercise regimen when you're pregnant especially weight lifting so I want to get good at it now so

00:11:12.180 that when I'm pregnant again it's not like restarting a new thing I'm just continuing something that I'm

00:11:19.680 already trained at so that is the plan for that but um I'm gonna go make some food okay so Mr. Man

00:11:27.940 is down for his third nap of the day he took a shorter nap so he is down for that nap um I am going

00:11:35.640 to get back to doing some work uh it's been kind of odd because even though my mom has been here to

00:11:41.660 help I haven't gotten as much done as I'd hoped that's me every single day I feel like I say that

00:11:46.120 every single day but let's let's get back to it he's so tiny

00:11:50.980 I feel like this is the truth about living in Florida like this shows that we're living in

00:11:58.820 Florida that there's just a teeny lizard on the window so 0.70

00:12:01.380 hi guys I'm back for you it's been no time at all for me it's been a while

00:12:27.240 um my mom left and I am back at the computer it's really not that interesting but my day I thought

00:12:35.440 I would get more work done than I did and I haven't so now I'm trying to get a video posted

00:12:40.320 um I actually have to record a little insert for a video I'm posting because I was sweaty when I

00:12:47.020 recorded that video and I think it was just because the AC maybe wasn't cranked up really but

00:12:53.080 yeah you can tell I was sweaty in that video so surprise change of plans we were going to do

00:13:00.160 dinner at home and then I got a call that my family's all getting together for dinner so we are at

00:13:05.940 my parents and we are eating some restaurant food and hanging out with the kiddos and it's gonna be

00:13:12.860 great I I'm so happy like it's just a nice way to end this day oh and p.s. I did get my newsletter

00:13:20.420 out and people seem to like it it was about working out and exercise regimens and I also

00:13:26.540 announced our new book which I talked about earlier I think oh the things you can think by Dr. Seuss

00:13:33.020 you can think about red you can think about pink you can think up a horse oh the thinks you can think

00:13:43.760 okay we're home gave the baby his bath we read a book nursed he's in bed he's sleeping and that's

00:13:54.160 pretty much it that was my day I mean it's about eight o'clock 7 45 and I think for the rest of the

00:14:02.300 night I'm just gonna do a little more work um wash up maybe watch a show with Jacob and go to bed early

00:14:10.440 because you never know how the night's gonna go and if I go to bed late thinking it'll go well

00:14:15.000 then I'm very tired the next day so that's it I hope you guys enjoyed today's vlog if you aren't
