00:00:00.040 Hello beautiful ladies and welcome to today's video where I'm going to be
00:00:03.480 showing you how I did my makeup to sing the national anthem at CPAC 2019 this
00:00:07.680 year. Doing your makeup for when you're singing on stage is a little bit
00:00:10.720 different than doing it for every day. You're going to want to play up all of
00:00:14.040 your features because usually you're going to have very bright lights on you
00:00:17.640 and people are really far away. All of the contour that's going to show your
00:00:21.480 cheekbones is going to be a lot more intense. Everything that goes to contour
00:00:25.860 your nose, all of the stuff that's going to be on your eyes. You want to really
00:00:29.160 bring attention to your features because people are going to be so much further
00:00:33.240 away than they would be when you're speaking to someone at dinner for
00:00:36.120 example. I decided to do something pretty intense on the eyes, pretty intense with
00:00:41.700 the face makeup, and then my lipstick was a little bit more natural. So the fun
00:00:45.760 thing about doing your makeup for a performance is that you can be a lot more
00:00:49.500 creative, a lot more dramatic than you might be normally. Please subscribe to my
00:00:53.420 blog and subscribe to my channel if you haven't already. Click the notification
00:00:56.820 bell and leave a comment down below. How would you do your makeup if you were
00:01:00.600 going to be performing? Would you do something this dramatic or do you think
00:01:03.240 you'd still be uncomfortable with it? Or do you think you'd do something even
00:01:06.060 more dramatic with colors and glitter? I'd really love to hear your thoughts and
00:01:09.900 let me know what you guys would like to see in my next video. I hope you guys enjoy
00:01:12.960 this look. Give it a thumbs up if you do and let's get started. So I started off with
00:01:17.220 this L'Oreal primer and it's a glow primer. I put it all over the skin just to give my skin a nice
00:01:22.320 dewy look and it'll just help the foundation and everything go well on
00:01:27.540 top of it. I then went in with the Boing concealer from Benefit and I just
00:01:31.560 covered up any blemishes or redness that I had on my skin and I actually do this
00:01:35.820 before I put on my foundation because I feel like if I put it on top of my
00:01:40.000 foundation you'll be able to see the little patches that I needed to cover up
00:01:43.020 but if it's underneath then it'll just kind of even out the skin before I go in
00:01:46.560 with the overall foundation. I took the Physicians Formula healthy skin
00:01:51.540 foundation or just healthy foundation and I put that all over the face. I just
00:01:56.840 drew it on in lines and then I pounced it in with my EcoTools sponge which I'm
00:02:02.740 loving. It's about ten dollars and it is great. It gets really really big when you
00:02:08.640 run it underwater and then it you can use it to blend out your foundation. Then I
00:02:12.680 used the L'Oreal True Match Lumi concealer and I put that in under my
00:02:18.380 eyes and I just blended blended that out with a small Real Techniques sponge that
00:02:22.920 I bought recently and I am loving it. I used to think these things were useless
00:02:26.420 but I'm discovering that it's really really not. I use the Bare Minerals
00:02:31.400 powder to set underneath my eyes and I have to tell you using this little sponge
00:02:36.620 and using it damp it's the first time I haven't had creasing underneath my eyes in
00:02:40.440 a really long time so I'm loving that. I then set my whole face with just a
00:02:45.240 powder brush using that same powder all over the skin and that just gives you a
00:02:50.100 really nice base to go in with all the rest of your products before you start
00:02:53.760 blending out other powders on top. Then I went in with the Fame palette from
00:02:59.160 Colourpop and I went into the color lifestyle and I just started learning how
00:03:05.940 to do my brows because I was always kind of like oh I don't need to do my brows
00:03:09.360 they're just they're bushy and they'll be what they're gonna be but I started
00:03:13.140 coloring them in and setting them down and that has made a huge difference so
00:03:18.480 this color even though I have black eyebrows you can't really go in with a
00:03:21.840 straight black because it looks a little crazy so you go in with this this brown
00:03:25.860 that has a little bit almost of a purple hue and that really helps. Then I set
00:03:29.580 everything down with the L'Oreal brow stylist and that'll just keep them in
00:03:33.000 place throughout the performance. I went in with the butter bronzer with this
00:03:36.740 smaller brush and I wanted to go in heavy with this I really wanted to define my
00:03:42.380 cheekbones to define under my jaw because when you're on stage and those lights are
00:03:46.640 really bright you really have a tendency to look washed out so putting this all
00:03:52.220 over the skin in a way that's going to define your face is really important when
00:03:57.620 you're wearing when you're going to be under bright lights so I also went in and I
00:04:01.700 defined the sides of my nose and underneath my nose because that can
00:04:05.660 immediately make your nose look really funny if you're getting washed out. Then I
00:04:10.700 took this NARS blush and I put on some blush right on the apples of the cheeks
00:04:15.420 and I finished off my face makeup with the Mary Luminizer which I feel like
00:04:21.020 people don't use anymore but I love this highlighter it looks so natural and I just
00:04:26.120 put some of that down the bridge of my nose. I zoomed you guys in so I could show
00:04:29.600 you what I was doing so the first thing I did is I went in and they set my eyes with
00:04:32.960 the center stage eyeshadow which just is like a good transition shade and then I
00:04:39.020 went in with delirium which is slightly darker and it's just gonna help me kind
00:04:42.800 of define the crease and I went in with a smaller fluffy brush and I went in with
00:04:46.220 windshield wiper motions just to really define the eye a bit. Then I went in
00:04:51.920 with razzle which is even darker than delirium and center stage and that's
00:04:56.360 really gonna start giving you that definition that we're looking for because
00:05:00.020 again when you're on stage and you're under bright lights and you're far away
00:05:03.140 from people you want to put on a look that's gonna define all of your
00:05:06.800 features. So I started off by putting on razzle and I just blended that out using
00:05:13.040 my smaller brush and I went back and forth and you really want to take your
00:05:16.160 time with your blending. Then I took the same color that I put in my brows
00:05:21.020 actually I put lifestyle on a smaller brush again this is a fluffy brush but it's
00:05:26.200 smaller even so that I can really get into the crease in the outer view of my
00:05:30.040 eye and be specific with it because if you're using a darker color and you're
00:05:33.280 going with a big fluffy brush that's gonna just go everywhere and you're gonna
00:05:37.180 end up having something that looks really muddy. So going in with a smaller
00:05:40.600 brush first just to put down the color so you kind of know where you're starting
00:05:44.560 can make sure that the color doesn't end up in places that you don't want it to
00:05:47.980 be. Now I will say that it does get sometimes hard to blend out when you start
00:05:51.880 with a smaller brush but then you just go in with a bigger fluffy brush and you
00:05:55.780 just as you can see I'm just kind of quickly going in blending everything out
00:05:59.680 sometimes it makes it easier even if you go in with one of those lighter colors on
00:06:03.580 that brush just to help blend out that darker color and I just went in with
00:06:08.980 windshield wiper motions and I just took my time and really blended that out. Then I
00:06:13.640 went in underneath my eye with a with an angled brush and that lifestyle color
00:06:18.760 and I just really want to define my lower lash line so I just lined underneath my
00:06:23.260 eyes and then I took a blending brush that's kind of flat which is really
00:06:27.940 good for underneath the eye and I took that razzle shade that that darker that
00:06:32.440 darker medium brown and I blended out the very very dark brown so that I would
00:06:36.860 still have that definition but you don't want just a line because that won't
00:06:39.260 look great. Then I went in with the color the most on a flat brush and I sprayed it
00:06:44.080 so that I could get that really nice defined sheen on my eye. When you go in
00:06:49.540 with your finger which I will do after this you don't have this specificity that
00:06:53.500 you're sometimes looking for if you want to have more of a cut crease kind of look
00:06:56.760 so you go in with that brush and you wet it first so that you can have the
00:07:01.120 definition of a cut crease but then to intensify the color you can go in with the
00:07:06.880 that shimmer shade the most is the name of it on your finger. I wanted just a
00:07:12.880 little bit more depth to that so I took a darker shimmer shade called dazzle and I
00:07:18.160 put that right in the center of the lid just to help blend out the edge of the
00:07:23.860 matte and the shimmer shade and then I went in with that same fluffy brush and
00:07:27.400 this is what you should always do when you're doing your eyeshadow just go back
00:07:30.040 in and blend blend blend. Then I took a small pencil brush and I took the color
00:07:36.220 extravaganza and I put that in the inner eye and right underneath the eyebrow just to
00:07:42.700 kind of lift the brow bone. Then I took my time with this and I drew on some cat
00:07:47.980 eyeliner winged eyeliner and this is because again you want to make your
00:07:52.540 eyes look as big as possible on stage and a winged eyeliner really helps to do
00:07:56.600 that so I took my time and I applied this winged eyeliner to my eyes it also
00:08:03.280 makes things easier when I'm going in with false lashes later. So then I took this
00:08:07.480 Maybelline mascara called the Maybelline lash discovery and it has a little brush
00:08:12.940 so it really helps to get underneath the eye on those little lashes and not get
00:08:17.360 it all over your face and then I applied the Lancome Monsieur big mascara onto my
00:08:22.220 upper lashes and then I went ahead and put on false lashes which I only showed you
00:08:29.680 one eye here it can get a little hard to do false lashes on camera so I did one and
00:08:35.140 then I did the other off-camera. I hope you guys enjoyed this video and I'll see
00:08:38.560 you in the next one bye
