00:00:00.040 Hello friends, welcome, and today we're going to be doing baby number two's gender reveal.
00:00:07.780 If you didn't know already, I am pregnant with baby number two, and I am so excited.
00:00:12.660 I am 18 weeks along officially, still not feeling a ton of movement, but kind of waiting
00:00:18.100 on pins and needles to see when this little baby starts jamming and moving around.
00:00:23.320 So I want to share today what the baby's gender is, what the baby's sex is, because we found
00:00:29.840 out pretty early.
00:00:30.800 We found out at about 12 weeks, and we didn't share immediately, because I always think
00:00:36.120 it's fun to do one of these gender reveal videos, and we're really excited.
00:00:39.880 So the way that I'm going to share the gender of this baby is the same way that I did with 0.89
00:00:44.000 baby number one, which was by sharing old wives' tales and seeing what the old wives' tales
00:00:50.580 predict.
00:00:51.200 There's a bunch of old wives' tales that say that if you carry a certain way or if you
00:00:55.680 have certain moods or whatever, it means you're going to have a girl or a boy.
00:00:59.700 And so today, I want to kind of play a game and see if the old wives' tales are right.
00:01:04.960 We did it last year, and they were wrong.
00:01:07.020 They said I was having a girl, but really I had a boy.
00:01:09.840 So let's see where they fall this time around.
00:01:12.460 Now, before we get into today's video, pause this video and write down below your guess for
00:01:18.540 what the gender of this baby is.
00:01:20.240 Do you think I'm having a boy or a girl?
00:01:22.920 Leave it down below, and then at the end of the video, you can go back and comment on
00:01:27.460 your first comment whether you were right or wrong, because that is pretty fun.
00:01:32.020 But I'm really excited to get into today's video.
00:01:34.680 Let's see if you guys were right, and let's just get started.
00:01:38.120 So we are using parents.com list of old wives' tales, and their first one is sleep position. 0.71
00:01:45.040 So according to this website, if you prefer sleeping on your left side, you are having a boy.
00:01:49.440 And if you prefer sleeping on your right side, then you are having a girl. 0.83
00:01:53.280 Well, I currently prefer sleeping on my left side, because my right side has sciatica.
00:01:59.740 So that's not been really fun.
00:02:00.960 That's been pretty painful.
00:02:01.960 So I prefer sleeping on my left, which means I'm having a boy.
00:02:05.380 Number two is morning sickness.
00:02:07.220 If you have really bad morning sickness, it means you're having a girl.
00:02:10.540 If you're having not too terrible morning sickness, you're having a boy.
00:02:14.680 So this is pretty similar to the first time around.
00:02:17.260 I actually was sick between five weeks and 13 weeks.
00:02:21.100 So that's about eight weeks.
00:02:22.200 I felt really sick.
00:02:23.400 And I only threw up once, but I did feel pretty terrible.
00:02:27.480 But I don't think it was like within the realms of theoretical girl morning sickness.
00:02:32.520 So we're also going to say that this falls under boy.
00:02:35.160 Number three is whether you have soft or dry hands.
00:02:39.300 If your hands are dry during pregnancy, then you're having a boy.
00:02:42.900 If your hands are soft during pregnancy, then you're having a girl.
00:02:47.040 Well, this time around, I've actually noticed that my hands look pretty dry.
00:02:51.020 So I'm going to say that this goes under the category of boy.
00:02:55.480 So we're at three for boy and zero for girl so far.
00:02:59.280 Number four is food cravings.
00:03:01.400 This is a very popular old wives tale.
00:03:03.180 The idea is if you are craving salty, you're having a boy.
00:03:06.220 And if you're craving sweet, you're having a girl.
00:03:08.660 Now, I re-watched my first gender reveal video in preparation for this one.
00:03:13.020 And it's actually kind of funny because it's very similar this time around.
00:03:17.040 So I have craved a lot of fresh things.
00:03:19.920 Initially, I was craving a lot of fresh things.
00:03:21.380 And I really wanted to go between salty and sweet.
00:03:25.260 And now I'd say I'm craving more sweet.
00:03:28.660 But really, again, it's that sweet, salty thing that really I like, that I go for.
00:03:32.960 Um, but I'm going to say this time feels like I'm having more salty cravings.
00:03:40.300 So let's say boy.
00:03:41.500 So that's four for boy.
00:03:43.020 Number five is acne.
00:03:44.740 If you are having acne during your pregnancy, then you are having a girl. 0.53
00:03:49.800 And if you are having clear, beautiful, glowing skin, you're having a boy.
00:03:53.800 So this time around, my skin hasn't been nearly as bad as it was the first time I was pregnant.
00:03:58.940 I would say that I had some acne in the first trimester, but it wasn't too, too bad.
00:04:04.440 And now it's like pretty clear.
00:04:06.040 Although I have some breakouts, but I always have breakouts.
00:04:08.840 I would say they're not totally different than normal.
00:04:10.920 So with that in mind, I'm going to say this is boy, which is five for boy.
00:04:16.580 So as of now, the old wives tales, I think I've got five for boy and zero for girl.
00:04:23.340 To be fair, some of them are like subjective.
00:04:25.760 Morning sickness could very easily be girl, but I don't feel like I can define my morning
00:04:32.880 sickness as that bad.
00:04:34.640 It's very uncomfortable.
00:04:36.080 It's not good.
00:04:37.360 I really hate it and I feel sick, but it's not like debilitating.
00:04:41.980 So yeah, that's where we're at.
00:04:44.260 Number six is graceful or clumsy.
00:04:46.840 Apparently, if you are having a girl, you'll be more graceful. 0.88
00:04:50.440 And if you are having a boy, you'll be more clumsy.
00:04:52.780 Well, I am a clumsy person generally.
00:04:57.020 I run into things all the time.
00:04:58.940 And I don't think that I'm more clumsy when I'm pregnant than not, but I am pretty clumsy
00:05:03.260 just regardless.
00:05:04.800 So let's say clumsy and that would mean I'm having a boy.
00:05:07.900 So that's six for boy and zero for girl.
00:05:11.240 Face fullness is number seven.
00:05:13.280 So if you are having a fuller face, a little bit more weight gain in your face during pregnancy,
00:05:17.400 then you are having a girl.
00:05:19.580 And if you are having just a normal face, your face doesn't really look any different,
00:05:23.480 then you're having a boy.
00:05:24.660 I don't think I've noticed any swelling or bloating in my face or weight gain.
00:05:29.620 So I'm going to say I'm putting that under boy.
00:05:32.160 So that's seven for boy and zero for girl.
00:05:35.080 So this is kind of funny because last time, I will say, I think I categorized some things
00:05:39.960 differently.
00:05:40.640 I probably said that like my sweet cravings put it under girl and my morning sickness
00:05:47.440 was under girl.
00:05:48.800 But this time around, I don't know.
00:05:51.240 It's just that the saltiness has been more than the sweetness, I guess.
00:05:55.240 Number eight is mood changes, mood swings.
00:05:58.340 If you're having a girl, then you're going to have more mood swings. 1.00
00:06:01.900 You're going to be pretty moody.
00:06:02.720 If you're having a boy, not so much.
00:06:04.500 So the first trimester, I will say, I was a little grumpy with Jacob.
00:06:09.400 And I find that that's kind of my thing during the first trimester is I get a little bit
00:06:13.480 grumpy at Jacob, which is not fair.
00:06:15.480 But that's just how my hormones go.
00:06:17.160 By the second trimester and really by like week 10, it's really evened out.
00:06:21.920 But that's the only moodiness I get.
00:06:24.340 So I'm going to say that for the most part, I'm pretty steady with the moods.
00:06:29.220 And I'm going to say that also leans towards boy.
00:06:32.480 Number nine is how you're carrying.
00:06:35.140 If you're having a high pregnancy or a low pregnancy.
00:06:38.500 And if you're carrying high, that means you're having a girl. 0.79
00:06:41.180 If you're carrying low, it means you're having a boy.
00:06:43.920 I think I'm carrying low.
00:06:45.600 I asked my mother-in-law.
00:06:46.620 She agreed.
00:06:48.100 So I am carrying low, which means that that is also for boy.
00:06:53.560 Zero for girl so far and nine for boy.
00:06:57.200 Interesting.
00:06:58.180 Okay.
00:06:58.660 We're only going to do one more.
00:07:00.920 Number 10, which is asking a toddler.
00:07:03.920 So if you have a little boy and he takes an interest in your belly, then you're having 0.67
00:07:10.880 a girl.
00:07:11.960 If he doesn't take an interest in your belly, then you're having a boy.
00:07:15.160 My son does not even notice that I have a pregnant belly at this point.
00:07:20.140 No idea.
00:07:21.700 Like really doesn't.
00:07:23.580 Couldn't care less.
00:07:24.620 And I really don't know how to get across to him that there's a baby coming.
00:07:28.000 I've mentioned it a few times.
00:07:29.060 I mean, he's little.
00:07:30.220 He's 16 months.
00:07:31.120 But like, he's not, he's not paying attention.
00:07:34.340 He does not know what's going on.
00:07:35.940 So I would say that also leans towards having a boy.
00:07:38.820 So that's 10 for boy, zero for girl.
00:07:41.400 But the last, last thing is the Chinese gender prediction test.
00:07:47.440 And that means you take your age and the month of conception and there's like a calendar
00:07:52.300 and it'll tell you whether you're having a girl or a boy.
00:07:55.320 It says I'm having a girl.
00:07:56.600 So, you know, that's one for girl and 10 for boy.
00:08:01.220 Now, before I reveal whether or not we're having a girl or a boy, did you leave a comment
00:08:06.940 down below?
00:08:07.760 Guessing.
00:08:08.340 Leaving your guess.
00:08:09.260 Make sure to leave it down below.
00:08:11.780 Let's do it.
00:08:13.620 We are having another baby boy.
00:08:18.040 Yes, we're having two boys.
00:08:19.920 I'm officially a boy mom.
00:08:21.840 We're going to see how that progresses into the future.
00:08:23.720 But for now, I'm going to be a boy mom, which I love.
00:08:27.300 I'm so excited we're having another boy.
00:08:29.340 We really kind of were hoping to have another boy just because they're going to be so close
00:08:32.560 in age.
00:08:33.040 And I love the idea of having two little boys, getting into trouble together, getting into
00:08:36.400 messes together, and just being adorable.
00:08:39.520 I mean, I love being a boy mom.
00:08:41.420 I love taking care of my son.
00:08:43.360 And he's so funny.
00:08:44.480 He has so much energy.
00:08:45.420 And I can't wait to have two of them going everywhere and getting into everything.
00:08:50.000 It's a lot of fun.
00:08:51.220 So I'm really excited.
00:08:53.020 I actually am like, this is the dream.
00:08:57.680 And I'm really excited for any future children and whatever genders they have.
00:09:02.360 But this one is a boy and we cannot wait.
00:09:05.760 Let me know if you have two boys under two, how it is, what your experience is like, and
00:09:12.620 I'll see you guys in my next video.
