As Christians, we're called to tear down anything that stands up against the truth of God's word. God created mankind in his image, made us male and female. God is the author of gender, and therefore he is the only one who has the authority to define these categories.

00:00:00.000 If you haven't noticed, the world is attempting to detach gender from sex and produce extra
00:00:06.520 biblical categories of personhood. In other words, people are trying to redefine what they did not
00:00:11.100 design. And they're doing this not only at the university, but also at the elementary.
00:00:15.360 As Christians, we're called to tear down anything that stands up against the truth of God's word.
00:00:20.020 Paul in 2 Corinthians 10.5 says, we destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against
00:00:25.080 the knowledge of God. Ultimately, as Christians, we don't only need to be bold, assertive, and
00:00:29.460 loving, but we also need to be intelligent and wise enough to take down arguments contrary to
00:00:34.340 scripture. But what does that mean when it comes to raising our kids with biblical truth about
00:00:38.260 gender? First, it means that we stand firm on the biblical position of the binary model.
00:00:42.800 God created mankind in his image, made us male and female. God is the author of gender,
00:00:48.260 and therefore he is the only one who has the authority to define these categories. 0.94
00:00:51.840 We must show our children that the binary model is perpetuated throughout the scriptures,
00:00:55.940 taught by the apostles and affirmed by Jesus Christ himself in Matthew 19.
00:01:00.900 But more than that, we need to show them that binary gender is biologically undeniable,
00:01:05.360 the only model for human flourishing and reproduction,
00:01:07.820 and has never been questioned by cultures before us.
00:01:10.960 Now, will people hate you for teaching your kids this way?
00:01:13.780 Absolutely.
00:01:14.660 Will culture try to convert the hearts and minds of your children anyway?
00:01:18.120 Bet on it.
00:01:18.800 For that reason, we made you a tool.
00:01:21.100 It's our newest children's book, Jesus and My Gender,
00:01:23.660 a theologically sound and playful presentation of the biblical model for male and female.
