00:00:00.000 So why is that in there if it hasn't occurred already?
00:00:09.020 Hi and welcome to Flossom Talk. I'm Sjæshti Flår, journalist, Hollywood truth teller and your voice of reason in a town built on delusion.
00:00:17.240 I want to apologize before I start this episode because my neighbors are demolishing a pool in their garden.
00:00:25.460 So it's really loud and I'm hoping that my mic won't pick up the noise.
00:00:32.660 Fingers crossed they're going to keep on doing this for like two weeks and I'm already so agitated by it.
00:00:38.540 So yes. Anyways, let's get into it.
00:00:41.700 So the Daily Mail published an article yesterday saying they have this exclusive recording, which is not exclusive because I spoke about it about two weeks ago.
00:00:51.960 But what I found interesting about the article is the headline.
00:00:56.080 Also, I was listening to Penn Badgley's podcast yesterday and guess who his guest was?
00:01:02.680 Leighton Meester, his co-star from Gossip Girl.
00:01:06.040 And you won't believe the conversation they had about their time on that set.
00:01:11.360 I also wanted to take a closer look at Blake Lively's return to work agreement in this episode.
00:01:16.040 You know, she forced Jamie Heath to sign the 17 points and if he didn't, she wouldn't return to work.
00:01:25.000 There's so many weird things going on here and I wanted to look into that a little bit closer.
00:01:30.080 Okay, so let's get into it.
00:01:31.800 First of all, someone told me that the video I shared yesterday between the conversation between Brandon Sklenar and Blake Lively is actually from the movie.
00:01:41.220 See, I had no idea.
00:01:44.980 They were planning to use that as a promo.
00:01:48.040 I know that, but I didn't know it was in the movie.
00:01:50.920 I don't know if you guys have seen it, if it's a rumor.
00:01:54.640 Anyways, I do have a new theory now of why there are so many Blake Lively supporters that are still out there.
00:02:01.760 I was watching the trailer for It Ends With Us yesterday and I saw Justin Baldoni's face change into this abusive character that he played.
00:02:13.040 And I think that the people that are out there supporting Blake actually believes Justin is the person he is playing in that film.
00:02:21.960 I've interviewed so many actors throughout the years and so many of them, and I had this conversation with many of them,
00:02:28.320 and so many of them are saying that when people meet them, they believe that they are actually the character they're playing.
00:02:36.500 I've interviewed comedians that are not funny in real life at all, and I've also met people that I thought were going to be super charming,
00:02:44.100 and then you meet them and they're very flat.
00:02:46.780 And the other way around as well, people that are always portrayed as villain in movies that are super nice in real life.
00:02:53.580 So that is something that comes with the territory.
00:02:56.360 And I really believe that these people who support Blake, they watch the movie, and they actually believe Justin is rile.
00:03:05.120 Anyways, let's look at this ridiculous headline at the Daily Mail.
00:03:08.860 They're saying that this is an exclusive story, that they have this recording,
00:03:13.260 but we know that that recording of Justin Baldoni that he sent, this voice memo he sent to Blake Lively,
00:03:18.680 was released about two or three weeks ago.
00:03:21.560 So no big news there, but they listen to it now.
00:03:24.120 And they're saying in this headline,
00:03:27.200 Listen, as Justin Baldoni brags to Blake Lively about his decision to cast her over fan-favorite actress.
00:03:36.480 Who's sorry now?
00:03:38.620 Well, I don't think he was bragging at all.
00:03:42.180 That's such a negative word.
00:03:43.720 Why would he say that he's bragging?
00:03:45.680 We've listened to that recording.
00:03:47.140 He's telling Blake that a lot of the fans wanted Abigail Cohen to play Lily Bloom,
00:03:53.500 but he always wanted a more mature Lily.
00:03:57.520 And there's nothing to do with bragging there.
00:04:00.480 He's just telling Blake, you know, I picked you, and now I'm looking for young Lily.
00:04:05.920 And he was thinking about her, but he was more leaning towards Isabella Ferrer.
00:04:11.340 I played that voice memo for you guys, so I don't want to get into that again.
00:04:15.480 But I thought it was interesting how Daily Mail now is saying that he's bragging to her.
00:04:19.960 And who's sorry now?
00:04:21.760 I'm guessing one person is not sorry, and that's Abigail Cowan for not accepting the role.
00:04:27.400 If she was ever offered the role, I'm guessing maybe she wasn't.
00:04:30.220 I heard rumors that Sony was the one pushing for Blake to take the part.
00:04:34.680 And, of course, they're also sorry now.
00:04:37.300 Everyone is sorry now that Blake Lively got that part.
00:04:40.300 I think we can say that for sure.
00:04:42.480 Anyways, I ended up getting this in my feed yesterday.
00:04:45.520 It's a podcast where Penn Badgley, he has two other co-hosts.
00:04:49.780 The podcast is called Podcrushed.
00:04:51.840 And a few days ago, he had his previous co-star, Leighton Meester, from Gossip Girl as a guest.
00:05:00.120 The podcast is like one and a half or two hours long.
00:05:03.380 It's really long.
00:05:04.680 But I found something interesting when they started talking about Gossip Girl.
00:05:09.740 As you know, they were both in that show with Blake Lively from beginning to end.
00:05:14.920 And I've spoken about this before, also with one of my guests there, Kevin.
00:05:19.180 I don't know if you remember that.
00:05:20.860 But he said that Leighton Meester was traumatized during the shoot.
00:05:25.680 And she would call her agent crying over Blake.
00:05:28.620 From what I understand, there were definitely times where she called her manager in tears.
00:05:33.860 And was like, you know, how do you, how does like your dream come true happen?
00:05:40.120 And then, you know, your dream is turned into a nightmare.
00:05:45.040 And the only person that you can turn to is your manager to call in tears.
00:05:50.140 And it's interesting when the two of them are looking back at Gossip Girl in this podcast,
00:05:54.880 talking about the great memories.
00:05:56.840 And Penn Badgley is making a lot of fun about all the things that they had to say and how silly this storyline really was.
00:06:03.680 And these kids were like 17 and they were like trading stocks and like doing very grown up things.
00:06:09.900 That makes absolutely no sense.
00:06:12.780 And they were laughing about it.
00:06:14.100 But then one of the hosts asked Leighton Meester what her best memory was from the set.
00:06:19.680 And she said this.
00:06:20.780 See, I really liked, more than storylines, I just liked working with certain people.
00:06:26.420 I really liked it when my like girlfriends were there.
00:06:31.740 Um, so like Alice and Nicole and Amanda specifically.
00:06:41.760 Um, and then Zuzanna.
00:06:44.620 Have you, have you spoken to Zuzanna in any recent time?
00:06:47.400 No, I saw Amanda's brother like, I want to say like just a few months ago.
00:06:51.800 Did you work with him?
00:06:52.760 No, no, no.
00:06:53.340 I don't remember.
00:06:54.220 Oh, wait.
00:06:54.840 Yes.
00:06:55.340 Yes.
00:06:55.680 Yes, I did.
00:06:56.260 No, I was thinking it was just on the street, but it was just on the street, but it was on set.
00:06:59.480 It's funny how your world, you're like, which?
00:07:02.080 Yes, isn't it funny that she doesn't mention Blake?
00:07:05.400 Or maybe it's not funny at all, actually.
00:07:06.920 It makes a lot of sense.
00:07:08.520 She is not mentioning Blake.
00:07:10.520 And we know there were a lot of rumors online that they couldn't stand each other.
00:07:15.080 And Leighton is specifically mentioning Zuzanna, who played Dorota, her maid in the show,
00:07:20.760 that she misses her and asking, Penn, did you, are you in touch with her?
00:07:25.280 And he was like, yeah, I saw her brother the other day.
00:07:27.880 Yeah, I just wanted to mention that.
00:07:29.500 And I think when she's saying, I want to specifically mention these people,
00:07:33.400 I think it's so obvious that all those rumors were true,
00:07:37.580 that the two of them did not get along.
00:07:40.020 And for a reason.
00:07:41.740 Anyways, let's look at this list again.
00:07:43.760 I am so confused about this.
00:07:45.480 I have to say this before I start talking about this,
00:07:48.220 because there's so many different numbers here of the different things that Blake wanted,
00:07:55.020 Jamie Heath and Justin Baldoni to sign for her to return to work.
00:08:00.260 When Blake was presenting this list in person, in front of Justin Baldoni,
00:08:06.740 was when Ryan Reynolds was yelling at Justin for four or five hours straight.
00:08:12.040 And it ended up with them signing this agreement,
00:08:15.640 because she was threatening to not return to work if they didn't sign it.
00:08:19.320 So when Blake Lively filed her CRD complaint here in California,
00:08:24.840 so she did that first before she filed the real lawsuit in New York,
00:08:29.800 she attached 30 points.
00:08:32.440 And those 30 points are a little bit different than the ones that ended up in those 17 points.
00:08:39.640 So why are these 30 points mentioned in her legal filings at all when no one ever signed them?
00:08:47.300 She could have added anything, whatever she wanted in here.
00:08:50.980 There's no evidence that they ever actually heard these 30 points being read up.
00:08:56.380 She keeps saying here, no more of this, no more of that.
00:09:00.700 And it sounds like in both of these documents, both the 30-point ones and the 17-point ones
00:09:09.340 that they ended up signing or Jamie Heath ended up signing,
00:09:12.780 it seems like a lot of terrible things have already occurred.
00:09:17.300 She's saying no more of this.
00:09:19.920 Here's an example.
00:09:21.440 No more filming of any Blake Lively nudity without a fully executed Sam Sag compliant nudity writer in place.
00:09:31.220 We know that they didn't film any nudity yet,
00:09:34.200 because Blake wanted all the nudity to be shot at the end of the production.
00:09:39.480 So why is that in there if it hasn't occurred already?
00:09:43.680 And we also know that she didn't have to sign any nudity writer because there was no nudity in the movie,
00:09:50.640 because she always had more clothes on than what is required to sign one of these.
00:09:56.660 There's a lot of no more connected to these types of scenes that had not yet been filmed.
00:10:03.880 So why would she add these things that didn't happen yet?
00:10:07.100 Obviously, to make it look more explosive when she filed it in California.
00:10:13.660 And why would she file these 30 points that Justin Baldonia or Jamie Heath never signed,
00:10:20.040 or maybe never even saw?
00:10:21.900 We don't know that.
00:10:22.800 In the 17 points that Jamie Heath signed, that also looks a little sketchy to me.
00:10:28.780 First of all, there's three pages here, and two of them, the first one and the last one,
00:10:34.500 look like they're the same kind of quality.
00:10:37.800 And the other one looks like it's been added afterwards.
00:10:41.000 And some people are saying that the metadata shows that this document was created way after
00:10:48.680 they said that Jamie Heath actually signed it.
00:10:52.580 Another interesting thing here is that these 17 points are sent by Blake Inc.,
00:11:00.240 Blake's company.
00:11:01.940 And they're saying here that reference is made to that certain actor agreement
00:11:07.240 dated on May 5th of 2023 between It Ends With Us Movie and Blake Inc.,
00:11:14.440 lender for the acting and release services of Blake Lively Artist.
00:11:18.860 So they're saying here that Blake Lively has been lent out as a contractor to It Ends With Us Movie.
00:11:28.480 And we know, I've talked about this many times before,
00:11:31.400 that Blake Lively cannot sue them for SH and retaliation unless she is an employee.
00:11:38.480 And here again, she's saying that she's not an employee.
00:11:42.920 So that also adds how messy all of this is.
00:11:45.780 She starts off this one with saying that an intimacy coordinator must be present at all times when artist is on set.
00:11:52.880 So she wants an intimacy coordinator for every scene.
00:11:55.980 The thing is, she picked the one scene there was no intimacy coordinator
00:12:01.040 and accused Justin of unwanted kissing and lingering too long and sucking her lips.
00:12:09.180 And that is, of course, the dancing scene.
00:12:11.300 We know that there was no intimacy coordinator present because you don't need one in a kissing scene.
00:12:17.220 They were just supposed to dance romantically and he was supposed to try to kiss her,
00:12:21.560 something that he made her aware of before they started shooting that scene.
00:12:25.520 And in this return to work agreement, she makes it sound like there was a lot of unwanted kissing going on.
00:12:32.360 She's also talking about unwanted touching.
00:12:34.120 I haven't seen her claiming anywhere that Justin Baldoni touched her in any way that she,
00:12:41.400 that was not in the script or that was unwanted in any way.
00:12:44.940 It's all about what he said and the way he looked at her.
00:12:48.720 It's never about any touching.
00:12:50.960 But in this return to work agreement, it sounds like he was doing that a lot.
00:12:55.840 For example, number four says physical touching and or comments on artists' physical appearance
00:13:01.660 must only be done made in connection with the character and scene work,
00:13:05.280 not as to artists personally.
00:13:08.600 Did he ever comment on her physical appearance?
00:13:11.900 I don't, I haven't seen that either in her claim that he ever did that.
00:13:16.440 So she made up these things that he shouldn't do anymore that actually never happened.
00:13:22.460 Point number 10 here is quite interesting.
00:13:24.080 She says, there shall be no retaliation of any kind against artists for raising concerns
00:13:29.740 about the conduct described in this letter or for these requirements.
00:13:33.880 Any changes in attitude, sarcasm, marginalization or other negative behavior,
00:13:39.400 either on set or otherwise, including during publicity and promotional work,
00:13:44.180 as a result of these requests is retaliatory and unacceptable and will be met with immediate action.
00:13:50.440 So it's kind of like she's setting up for this lawsuit here saying there shall be no retaliation.
00:13:58.320 It's like she's planning on her own backlash.
00:14:01.260 I don't know what you think.
00:14:02.320 If it feels like she was setting up for something here,
00:14:05.040 she's mentioning retaliation before she even claimed that it started.
00:14:10.400 Unless she is looking at the backlash that she received for the wardrobe already on TikTok and thinking,
00:14:18.060 oh, I can use that later as backlash against me as that was part of some kind of smear campaign.
00:14:24.160 Anyways, interesting because when Ryan Reynolds talks about this to Warren Zavala,
00:14:30.340 his agent, he's saying that it was 26 things.
00:14:34.760 So Ryan texted this to Warren saying the only thing they don't seem interested in is the truth.
00:14:40.580 And Blake has the truth.
00:14:42.920 Like even one of the 26 things on the list she read aloud to Baldoni, Jamie,
00:14:49.540 he doesn't even know how to spell Jamie, by the way,
00:14:51.940 Todd, Ange and Josh, who were all sitting in our living room,
00:14:56.020 would be considered irretrievably monstrous and shocking.
00:15:01.140 Yes, maybe if they were actually true, if they weren't twisted.
00:15:06.200 But why is Ryan saying 26 things here if it was actually 30 things?
00:15:12.740 Because that's what they said in the original CRD complaint, that it was 30 things.
00:15:17.560 Did they add just four things afterwards then?
00:15:20.260 So this is in August after Blake started getting all the backlash.
00:15:23.300 And Ryan says, I think it's fine to play through the weekend,
00:15:25.840 but I'm flying blind when it comes to Blake.
00:15:27.760 We haven't had the chance to fully discuss the right course.
00:15:30.540 I know she'll have a clear perspective.
00:15:32.980 Unless something changed, all she cares about is the creative and a well-earned outcome.
00:15:37.700 But I happen to think some action is necessary.
00:15:40.180 She should not be subject to some eye-rolling narrative of the controlling bitch.
00:15:45.360 So it's interesting here that he's saying that the only thing she cares about
00:15:50.200 is the creative and well-earned outcome.
00:15:52.880 She doesn't care about all the essay stuff that they made them sign,
00:15:56.660 that they actually did or they wouldn't do any more of that actually never happened.
00:16:01.420 That doesn't matter.
00:16:02.620 It's funny because this agent is responding saying, I think a lot of these are bots.
00:16:06.560 Sarah and I are looking at it.
00:16:08.000 My belief is that he's orchestrating a narrative and probably has a crisis team plotting his moves here.
00:16:13.620 It's the exact opposite of what should be happening.
00:16:17.640 This narrative of he's the only one talking about the book and DV smells of foul play.
00:16:24.340 Not to be an alarmist.
00:16:26.440 Call me when you land, blah, blah, blah.
00:16:28.180 It's really alarming that he's actually talking about the book and what the movie is about.
00:16:33.560 It must be bots.
00:16:35.060 They already decided that this was a bot attack against Blake because none of them could fathom the idea that people didn't like her.
00:16:44.140 So after these 30, 17, 26 points were signed under pressure by Jamie Heath, Blake sends a text to Jenny Slate.
00:16:56.280 The two of them, it doesn't seem like they had any contact during the time they were,
00:17:00.780 they shut down the production because, you know, there was a writer's strike in between.
00:17:05.060 So the production was shut down, I think, in May or June and they didn't resume until January because Blake had all these issues.
00:17:12.320 So she didn't want to go back to set.
00:17:14.220 And that, of course, delayed the production and all the other people that were involved here had to sit on hold to wait until Blake decided that it was OK for her to come back to work.
00:17:24.780 She sent this to Jenny Slate.
00:17:26.860 She said, excited to have you back.
00:17:28.900 I think you'll enjoy it all this time and you don't need to hug anyone.
00:17:32.580 It's the best part.
00:17:34.000 And Jenny says, how wonderful.
00:17:36.780 And Blake says, and he won't touch you or shouldn't.
00:17:40.900 I don't think he or Jamie will.
00:17:43.060 This is so interesting to me because I said before, I feel like some of the text exchange between Jenny and Blake are so curated that she wanted to use this for later.
00:17:53.620 It seems like she's already planning some legal action here and she wants some of this evidence because there's no evidence ever that Justin or Jamie touched Jenny Slate and she's saying he won't and he won't touch you.
00:18:09.280 Like, where did that come from?
00:18:11.060 Jenny never said that he or Jamie or anyone had ever touched her unwontedly.
00:18:16.340 Maybe by that she means to give her a hug.
00:18:19.040 I don't know.
00:18:19.920 And then Jenny asks her, did more discussion happen in these months off?
00:18:23.700 So, as I said, they obviously were not in touch during this period of time.
00:18:29.600 And Blake says, my God, like, probably meaning, oh, yes, a lot of things happened.
00:18:35.080 And how have you felt, says Jenny?
00:18:37.180 And Blake says, so much to fill you in on.
00:18:39.480 She's saying, solid.
00:18:40.360 It's a professional set and we're getting good work.
00:18:44.520 I'm so glad, says Jenny.
00:18:46.160 I'm so curious to hear anything you've got to share.
00:18:49.360 And that's it from that conversation.
00:18:51.240 I also wanted to remind people of how Justin Baldoni reacted to that meeting when they were forced to sign these 17 points afterwards.
00:19:01.140 So he's sending this to one of his friends, Wayne Wilson, the actor from The Office.
00:19:06.220 Funny side note here.
00:19:07.560 I just saw, as I mentioned before, actually, that he's in a movie right now with Jenny Slate.
00:19:13.760 I think it was just released.
00:19:15.460 I'm sure they didn't have a great connection there.
00:19:18.000 It's called At the Sea.
00:19:20.000 And I think it premiered in Berlin just recently.
00:19:23.840 And as you know, Rainn Wilson also belongs to the same faith as Justin Baha'i.
00:19:29.860 And as you know, Jenny Slate had big issues with their religious beliefs.
00:19:33.880 Another movie that Jenny Slate just did was with Chris Pine.
00:19:38.900 It premiered at Sundance.
00:19:41.300 And I showed a little clip of an interview she did there on the red carpet when she looked so stressed out.
00:19:46.700 I also found out that Alex Sachs, who was the producer at Ends With Us, was also a producer on that movie.
00:19:53.580 It just gets to show how small this world is.
00:19:57.580 And how people obviously do favors for each other and end up working again and again together.
00:20:02.660 But let's get back to what Justin said after that meeting to Rainn Wilson.
00:20:07.260 He said,
00:20:07.720 Sorry for not giving an update last night.
00:20:09.460 It was one of the hardest nights of my life.
00:20:12.220 It's hard to describe what happened exactly.
00:20:14.300 The only way to describe it was an ambush.
00:20:16.380 I had no words.
00:20:17.680 I couldn't formulate sentences.
00:20:19.340 My brain was trying to defend itself when they were needing me to apologize for all the ways I had effed up and made her feel unsafe.
00:20:28.720 Ryan was talking to me like a five-year-old and scolding me.
00:20:31.720 They essentially said that Jamie and I are not who we claim to be.
00:20:35.700 That for us to have a podcast is unsafe because it makes people feel like we are safe.
00:20:41.880 I was read from a phone.
00:20:44.800 All the things that I did, while many of them were based in actual situations, the events were wrong and things were taken completely out of context.
00:20:53.940 The word creepy and abuse were used in reference to me in my behavior.
00:20:57.860 I was then given the words of what to say and had to apologize, which I was unable to do because my brain was trying to comprehend what was happening.
00:21:08.220 I was in shock and basically went into feeling like I was a seven-year-old again.
00:21:12.680 And when I got home last night, I was emotionally paralyzed.
00:21:15.980 It was as bad as it sounds.
00:21:18.800 Jamie did a beautiful job apologizing.
00:21:21.180 I did not have the words.
00:21:22.960 I was embarrassed for myself as it happened in front of the team.
00:21:26.240 But I was embarrassed that I was unable to even formulate the correct words to apologize and honestly just feel like a bad person.
00:21:33.760 It's hard to feel so much of what they believe about me is false because they're so convinced that it's real.
00:21:40.280 Looking for the nuggets of learning, which there are many and somehow have showed up today.
00:21:45.500 Thanks to Jamie and my wife and we are currently shooting.
00:21:48.220 I love you all.
00:21:49.140 So he's saying here that Blake and Ryan are so convinced that these things are actually real.
00:21:56.400 I also believe that they're so twisted that they feel that they're in the rights here.
00:22:02.200 And can you imagine when someone is accusing you of doing all these horrific things that it sounds like in this no more list and asking you to apologize for it when you're like, I didn't do these things.
00:22:14.540 Yes.
00:22:15.220 Anyways, I wanted to mention this list again because I find it so fascinating.
00:22:20.200 And there's so many things that are giving little clues.
00:22:23.560 So if you know anything more than I do, please let me know.
00:22:26.680 Please keep sending me tips, by the way, to flawsometalk at gmail.com or just DM me on Instagram.
00:22:34.160 Anyways, I wanted to show this invoice from Blake Inc. as well because I find this quite amusing.
00:22:39.240 So this is an invoice from Blake where she's claiming back the money she spent on food.
00:22:45.640 She's given a meal allowance here of $200 a day.
00:22:51.180 And I'm sure she didn't eat dinner on the sets or maybe she didn't eat breakfast there.
00:22:55.740 I don't know if she had breakfast before leaving in the morning because we know she didn't spend the nights away from her family.
00:23:02.380 They were actually shooting in New Jersey.
00:23:04.380 So Blake Lively could go home every night.
00:23:07.140 So I don't know if this is including dinner as well.
00:23:09.680 But if it's only including lunch and breakfast, then we know she doesn't drink alcohol.
00:23:15.500 So I think $200 a day is insane.
00:23:20.260 But anyways, so she sent this bill.
00:23:22.480 It was for her and it was for like the month of January, it looks like, and one week in February too.
00:23:29.000 So this is only for meal allowance for Blake and for her assistant.
00:23:34.120 So her assistant gets paid $300 a day and Blake asks for $200 for food every day.
00:23:40.920 So her assistant is just $100 off her food budget.
00:23:43.900 But anyway, so this invoice is only for one month of her getting food and getting help from her assistant.
00:23:51.940 And that is $9,700.
00:23:54.720 So almost $10,000 for Blake to get fed and for her assistant to be there to feed her.
00:24:02.780 Anyways, another thing, you know, when the jury see these things of how privileged Blake really is,
00:24:08.280 how is she going to get any sympathy from anyone?
00:24:11.240 There's also talks about the private jets that are picking her up.
00:24:14.740 Everything has to be on her terms all the time.
00:24:17.680 And she is treated like a princess.
00:24:20.140 There is no hardship in Blake Lively's life.
00:24:22.780 Let's put it, let's put it that way.
00:24:24.760 Anyways, that's it from you guys.
00:24:26.160 I hope you enjoyed this episode.
