Flaawsome Talk with Kjersti Flaa - Brandon Sklenar DESPERATE for forgiveness !？!

00:00:00.000 And it's so clear how much he contributed to kicking this woman when she was down.

00:00:11.100 Hi and welcome to Flossom Talk. I'm Jashti Flohr, journalist, Hollywood truth teller,

00:00:15.540 and your voice of reason in a town built on delusion. I just realized that tomorrow is the

00:00:21.980 one-year anniversary of when Blake Lively filed a CRD complaint in the Civil Rights Department

00:00:29.280 in California, where she sued Justin Baldoni and a lot of other people. And two days later,

00:00:36.840 the New York Times published the story that changed everything. If you followed me for a

00:00:43.560 while, you know also I was dragged into that article. So my Christmas last year was not great

00:00:49.520 because of that. And I feel like now we are here and it's been a year and we're still talking about

00:00:56.580 this. So today there was a new legal filing saying that there will be a conference where the parties

00:01:05.400 are meeting in person to try and come to an agreement of a settlement. This will happen on

00:01:12.120 February 11th of next year. And who knows what's going to happen in that meeting, if they can agree

00:01:17.780 to anything. I doubt it at this point, but who knows. Anyways, Brendan Sklenor, Blake Lively's

00:01:24.940 co-star from It Ends With Us is out looking for sympathy. I spoke about him a couple of days ago

00:01:32.080 because he's out promoting this new movie called The Housemaid. And while the director of the movie,

00:01:38.100 Paul Feig, has been outspoken about how Blake Lively recommended Brandon to him, Brandon himself

00:01:45.540 has tried to avoid talking about this because, of course, he received so much backlash from coming

00:01:51.780 out publicly and supporting Blake Lively. And now he is claiming to be the new victim.

00:01:59.360 And there is a new interview with Kristen Cabot, the HR executive that was caught on the kissing

00:02:05.200 cam at the Coldplay concert this summer. And now she's opening up for the first time about how much harm

00:02:10.880 this cost her and how Ryan Reynolds' ad campaign with Gwyneth Paltrow made it so much worse.

00:02:18.820 Also, there's some new developments around Nick Rayner. I follow that case very closely the last

00:02:24.520 few days. And I've speculated along with other people about his mental illness. And today it's

00:02:29.960 been confirmed that he's suffering from schizophrenia and also that his father, Rob, was very concerned.

00:02:36.860 And he also told some of the people at the party, at the Colin O'Brien holiday party,

00:02:41.560 that he was scared of his own son. Also, there are new reports that Nick was rejected romantically.

00:02:48.820 Hopefully a few days as well before this happened. I'll get into some of the details. And yesterday,

00:02:54.560 someone told me a source close to the family of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds that they have

00:03:01.840 disinvited Robin and Bart, her sister and her husband, for Christmas, apparently because they have too much

00:03:10.300 going on and they're too stressed and they don't want anyone in their house right now. That adds up to

00:03:16.900 all the rumors, of course, about their marriage and how it is really taking a toll on them,

00:03:22.980 this whole situation, and that they're not in a good place. Anyway, so Brandon Sklenor has been out

00:03:29.920 complaining about all the backlash he received for supporting Blake Lively. In an interview with

00:03:37.920 The Hollywood Reporter, he says that he had recalls commenters saying, I hope you die after he spoke

00:03:45.380 out about It Ends With Us drama. Here is a reminder of what he said on Instagram. He said,

00:03:50.700 vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe

00:03:56.120 so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about.

00:04:03.040 It is, in fact, the opposite of the point. Reading this now after everything that we know

00:04:10.180 makes this even worse. First of all, we know that Blake Lively put a lot of heart and soul into

00:04:17.700 stealing that movie. And we also know that she did everything in her power not to talk about the

00:04:23.540 subject matter of the movie during the entire promotion of it. In this interview, he's saying that

00:04:28.940 he saw a lot of hate directed towards him online after he posted a note on Instagram asking fans

00:04:34.760 to be kind. You're a piece of shit. I hope you die. I hope your career ends. Things like that he recalled 1.00

00:04:41.300 to the outlets. He said here to The Hollywood Reporter, I wasn't damning anybody, but I was just

00:04:48.620 like, can we focus on the ethos of this whole effing movie and not be so hateful to anybody?

00:04:54.780 I thought it was a nice thing to say, but apparently a lot of people did not feel that

00:04:59.480 way. Apparently so, Brandon. And they also mentioning a red carpet incident here when he

00:05:04.820 was asked the same question again. And he said, it's a tough situation. I just hope everyone

00:05:09.620 remembers what the movie is about and why we made it in the first place. It's about love. It's about

00:05:15.240 supporting women in general and helping people through tough times. When you think about all the

00:05:20.800 people that Blake Lively hurt, all the women especially, also she hurt in these lawsuits,

00:05:26.860 all of this is just so tone deaf. He also took a screenshot of Blake Lively's complaints and put it

00:05:35.000 on his Instagram and said, for the love of God, read this. So he knew at that time that what was in

00:05:43.860 that complaint was just completely taken out of context. He was there and he was friendly with

00:05:51.980 Justin Baldoni up to the point when Blake Lively got to him. And he knows as well as all of us now

00:05:58.340 that nothing really happened on that set that can in any way be considered as SH. We didn't know what

00:06:05.320 we know now about Brandon Sklenor, that he unfollowed Justin on behalf of Blake Lively when

00:06:12.280 she told him to do that and that she whisked him and Jenny Slate away on weekends. That's something

00:06:18.200 a source that knows Justin Baldoni told me last week. And Brandon is here explaining that he knew

00:06:24.380 that he got backlash and then his agent told him stay away from the internet, but he couldn't help

00:06:30.300 himself. He had to read the comments and he's explaining it like this saying, imagine you're

00:06:36.120 walking down a hallway and there's a door to a room full of hundred thousands of people and they're

00:06:41.200 all saying something about you. You tell me you're not going to put your ear to the door. So that's

00:06:47.120 what he did. And as I reported on the other day as well, he is now responding to people on his

00:06:53.740 Instagram as well in a very passive aggressive way. It's not helping him. And this, what he just did,

00:07:00.300 here, it's making things a hundred times worse. I saw the comments on this story. So People

00:07:07.940 Magazine rewrote this. Every single comment on this article is like, hey, you ask for this yourself.

00:07:15.400 One person even said, this reminds me of a guy in Titanic, the one who snuck into the lifeboats for

00:07:22.560 women and children. Really horrible things. Same thing over at the Hollywood Reporter and on Instagram.

00:07:29.320 And I was looking at his own Instagram now and people are attacking him more than ever. Brandon

00:07:33.900 Glenar is not very smart because trying to make himself look like a victim now is just so tone

00:07:41.760 deaf, especially now that we've seen Justin Baldoni's deposition and what he was asked by Blake Lively's

00:07:49.760 attorney. So to refresh everyone's memory, Mr. Gottlieb asked Justin Baldoni, do you recall ever saying to

00:07:57.580 Brandon Glenar on the film set something to the effect of, I have to tell you something,

00:08:02.620 but I don't want to get canceled or lose my job. You can't say anything on this set anymore.

00:08:08.380 And of course, Justin Baldoni says, no, I didn't say that. And why would I say that? And it makes

00:08:12.780 no sense whatsoever that he would say that. But the fact is that Brandon Glenar went to Jenny Slate

00:08:19.220 to say this. And Justin says here that I didn't know that he had said this about me until I read

00:08:24.780 or until I was in the deposition with Jenny Slate. So Brandon went to Jenny to sow this seed

00:08:31.700 of Justin being inappropriate. And then Jenny shared that with Blake's attorneys. And now we all know

00:08:38.340 about it. And now we also know that he never said that. Why would he say that he was afraid to get

00:08:43.260 fired when it was his movie? It doesn't make any sense. So all of this combined makes Brandon

00:08:49.700 Glenar look so bad. And also he didn't have to pick a side here. It's not that anyone forced him

00:08:55.520 into doing that. Look at Hasan Minhaj. He played Jenny Slate's husband in the movie or fiance in the

00:09:01.560 movie. He chose not to pick a side. And he was quoted saying, I didn't notice anything on that set.

00:09:07.860 Everything was a joy and everyone was really nice and no one's going after him.

00:09:12.380 So it was Brandon's own choice to go after Justin Baldoni and to support Blake. And now we know that

00:09:19.580 because he did that, he also managed to get a part in Paul Feig's movie because Blake Lively and Paul

00:09:27.240 Feig are super close friends. And it's so obvious. And Paul Feig even admitted that's why he actually

00:09:34.700 hired Brandon for the part. But here is the funny twist. So New York Times did a review on the

00:09:42.080 Housemaids and they are trashing Brandon Glenar's performance. So this is obviously about the

00:09:49.280 Housemaid, the movie that is premiering today or is showing in cinemas all over the country today.

00:09:55.940 And the New York Times is saying that for a movie like this to work, you've got to sell it with a

00:10:00.480 great cast, all of whom must play characters harboring secrets. Here, some of them pull it off.

00:10:08.140 Amanda Seyfried and Sidney Sweeney, about a decade apart in age, look just enough alike to let you

00:10:14.560 intuit what's probably going to happen. And here comes the part about Brandon Glenar.

00:10:20.480 On the other hand, Glenar is more nondescript. He's generically handsome, playing a character who

00:10:28.900 presents as a patient, long-suffering husband, but is otherwise lacking in a personality.

00:10:35.480 Yet even when his secrets starts coming out, they're a little hard to believe because it's

00:10:41.720 such a bland performance. So yes, the New York Times is not a fan of Brandon Glenar's acting skills.

00:10:49.700 Okay, so let's get to Ryan Reynolds and how he has again monetized on a personal tragedy. And now

00:10:56.100 after reading the story of this ex-employee of astronomer, it's so clear that he fueled so much

00:11:06.920 more petrol to that fire. And it's so clear how much he contributed to kicking this woman when she

00:11:14.560 was down. But before we get into that, I wanted to thank the sponsor of this video, Aura Frames.

00:12:54.520 Okay, so let's get into it. This woman called Kristen Cabot experienced the worst nightmare of 0.95

00:13:00.600 her life this summer. If you missed that, I don't know if anyone missed it, but she was at a Coldplay

00:13:06.360 concert, and the kiss cam captured her and this man who was her boss, also working for Astronomer,

00:13:13.960 and this video clip of the two of them went completely viral, and everyone was like, wow,

00:13:19.700 they're both married. This is a disgrace. They got so much heat. He got fired from the job, and she

00:13:25.720 decided to actually leave. And in this interview in the New York Times, she talks about how horrific

00:13:31.560 this experience was for her, and how she was doxed, and how people, she received five to six

00:13:37.240 hundred phone calls every single day. Paparazzis showed up outside her door. Her children were

00:13:42.260 terrified. She did not want to leave her house. Her children didn't want to leave the house.

00:13:47.100 This is so horrifying, you guys. But anyways, when this happened, and everyone talked about this,

00:13:53.500 Ryan Reynolds jumped on this to monetize on the pain that these two people and their families were

00:14:00.660 experiencing at the time. This is what Ryan Reynolds does. And now Kristen is talking about

00:14:06.440 how hurt she was by this ad, by Gwyneth Paltrow specifically, because as you know, Ryan Reynolds

00:14:13.140 hired Gwyneth Paltrow to mock this situation. And now Kristen is saying she's so disappointed in

00:14:19.440 Gwyneth, who agreed to do this, and she thought that she was another woman supporting and lifting up

00:14:25.100 women. Her whole brand, Goop, is about that. How could she do something like this? 1.00

00:14:30.660 Hi, I'm Gwyneth Paltrow. I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the

00:14:36.780 300 plus employees at Astronomer. And we also know now that Ryan Reynolds wasn't even hired by

00:14:42.320 an astronomer to do this ad. He did it with his own money. He talked about that the other day on a stage

00:14:48.260 where he was at this panel, and he talked about this commercial and said that he just did it on his

00:14:53.320 own initiative, and he contacted Gwyneth Paltrow, and then they pitched it to an astronomer who agreed

00:14:58.280 to do it. So keep in mind that this woman that worked for Astronomer is not a celebrity, and she 1.00

00:15:04.500 did not choose to be the center of attention. And also keep in mind what she's saying here, that she

00:15:10.460 was separated from her husband when this happened, and they were coming to an agreement with their

00:15:16.680 divorce at the time. So she wasn't doing anything wrong. Now the threats that she experienced,

00:15:23.180 both in public, especially by other women, which I find so hurtful, that women came up to her 0.92

00:15:29.580 and told her that you are a disgrace, and people like you shouldn't breathe the same air as other 0.99

00:15:36.260 people. The things that she's saying here that she experienced and her children experienced 0.99

00:15:40.280 are just horrible. And for Ryan Reynolds, who proclaimed over and over again that he never

00:15:47.120 punches down. This is a prime example again on how he loves to punch down. And now that we know

00:15:56.320 coming from this woman directly on how much this ad specifically added to her pain, just tells you

00:16:04.820 everything you need to know about Ryan Reynolds. And then he did it again last week. I spoke about it

00:16:09.200 here on my channel. He took the misery of Matthew Lillard, this actor that had been shaded by Quentin

00:16:15.900 Tarantino, who said he didn't like him. And Ryan was like, wow, this guy's really hurt right now.

00:16:21.820 I need to mock this moment and monetize on this. And he did. And for some reason, Matthew Lillard

00:16:28.840 agreed to do this Mint Mobile commercial, mocking himself of being a bad actor. And as we know, he did

00:16:36.020 the same thing to Justin Baldoni in the Deadpool movie. He created his own character called Nice Pull

00:16:41.840 to just make fun of Justin Baldoni. This is a pattern that we see with Ryan and he keeps hurting

00:16:48.620 people. All right, let's get over to Nick Reiner here. As I said, the last couple of days, it's been

00:16:54.520 really hard for me to actually report on that story because I find it so heartbreaking. And as I mentioned

00:17:01.240 many times as well, I'm trying to look at this incident from a humane perspective. And a lot of people

00:17:09.660 don't agree with me on that. A lot of people just want him to get punished and they're furious because

00:17:15.660 he hired an expensive and skilled attorney. And today TMZ broke the news from reliable sources,

00:17:23.000 according to themselves, that Nick was diagnosed with schizophrenia before this happened. They're

00:17:30.900 saying that in the weeks leading up to the murder of his parents, the meds he was taking made him erratic

00:17:37.860 and dangerous. The source with direct knowledge tells TMZ Nick was under the care of a psychiatrist

00:17:44.380 for mental illness. We're told in the months before the murders, Nick's behavior had gotten

00:17:49.600 alarming. And they're saying here that he had recently received care from a Los Angeles-based

00:17:55.300 rehab facility, which costs $70,000 a month. How is that even possible? And apparently a lot of rich

00:18:03.840 powerful people are sending their kids, their troubled kids to this facility. And according

00:18:09.680 to the source here, the doctors at this clinic changed up Nick's medication about three to four

00:18:17.480 weeks before this incident happened. And those meds made him more and more erratic. They tried to

00:18:24.520 adjust the medications and that didn't work. Reading about this facility now that charges such an

00:18:31.300 enormous amount of money. And they obviously didn't really get control of the situation.

00:18:37.140 I'm sure they're going to get dragged into this trial and possibly also be blamed, partly blamed

00:18:43.920 for this. The source here is telling that when his meds were changed, Nick was out of his head.

00:18:50.700 The sources also says that Nick's substance abuse was worsening the schizophrenia. And it's saying here

00:18:57.180 that based on what we're hearing, this is going to be a case where Nick will plead not guilty by reason

00:19:01.980 of insanity. So I think that's going to happen too. But I do think that's going to be very challenging.

00:19:08.260 And one of the reasons for that is that Nick actually left the house after he committed this,

00:19:14.920 these murders. And he went to a hotel and he checked in there. He was seen walking around. I think he even

00:19:21.420 had a change of clothes. He definitely changed the backpack he was carrying. Once he was seen with

00:19:27.560 a black backpack, then he was seen with a red backpack. So all those details adds up to him not

00:19:34.260 being insane because he needs to prove that he didn't understand what he was doing and he could

00:19:40.120 not understand that it was wrong. And I think because he left and because he tried to cover up the blood

00:19:46.780 in the hotel room, I think it's going to be hard for them to prove this. But as I said,

00:19:52.320 and as I keep saying here is that what I really hope for Nick and his family is that he will get

00:19:57.560 the best treatment, that he will be put in a facility and that he will be given the help that

00:20:03.020 he needs. And I think for his family to know that he will live in a facility and have some dignity

00:20:09.720 is going to help them to heal through this. And according to Daily Mail, a lot of the Reiner's

00:20:16.720 family's friends got together earlier this week at Albert Brooks' mansion in Brentwood. And in the

00:20:27.840 attendance were also Billy Crystal. As we know, they were very close friends and his wife Janice

00:20:32.820 and comedian Larry David. Bill Hader, as we know, was speaking to Nick at that party and Conan O'Brien,

00:20:40.780 who was hosting the holiday party. They've all known the Reiner's for decades. Someone also reminded

00:20:48.920 me in a DM this morning that, remember that Nick was walking around at that party asking people's

00:20:55.540 first and last names and if they were famous. And that adds to the fact that he was really confused

00:21:01.280 because a lot of these people he already knew. Anyways, one of these A-listers told the Daily Mail

00:21:07.580 this. Minutes after Nick stormed out, Rob became emotional, going over to a group of friends and

00:21:13.940 saying, I am petrified of him, pointing at Nick. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'm afraid

00:21:20.220 of my son. I think my own son can hurt me. So if this is true, there were serious warning signs there

00:21:29.440 that we've heard already, but that actually Rob was afraid of his own son. Yeah, I don't know why they

00:21:35.600 would bring him to this party if he was such a ticking bomb, but I'm sure we're going to learn

00:21:41.320 more about that as well. And also there's more footage now of him walking around in Santa Monica

00:21:47.980 before he checked into this hotel. He was on foot. We haven't seen any footage of him driving a car,

00:21:55.100 so we don't know how he got from Brentwood and down to Santa Monica, which is a 20, 30 minute drive.

00:22:00.600 And as they're saying on TMZ, we don't know if that video or if this was Nick before or after he

00:22:07.280 committed the killings. We don't know that yet. We know that he checked into the hotel at 4.15 a.m.,

00:22:13.360 but we still don't know if he killed them before or after he checked into that hotel room. Also,

00:22:19.820 Rob Shooter has a report here saying or claiming that Nick was rejected romantically a few days before

00:22:29.380 this happened. It says here he'd just been turned down. A long time insider says he was awkward,

00:22:38.280 overbearing, and completely unable to handle rejection. People didn't stick around because

00:22:43.060 he came on too strong. And he's saying that those close to him describe repeated failed attempts to

00:22:49.540 connect mostly online that only reinforced his anger and isolation. He thinks there was chemistry

00:22:56.200 and then they disappear. Instead of learning, he doubled down and it made him even more toxic to

00:23:02.700 anyone around him. And it says here that Nick couldn't read social cues. He drove people away

00:23:09.220 with desperation and obsession. It seems like he didn't have much social skills at all. And of course,

00:23:15.680 that fueled his anger. If you didn't watch my episode yesterday, I mentioned that I spoke to a

00:23:21.600 source. If you missed my episode yesterday, I spoke to a source, a person who worked for Michelle and

00:23:28.540 Rob Reiner back in the nineties when Nick was just a baby. And the person told me that Michelle was

00:23:36.020 suffering from postpartum and that she was acting out and she apologized for her behavior several times to

00:23:45.540 this person. And I've seen in the comment section, a lot of women have spoken about their

00:23:50.820 experience with postpartum and how that can affect a child or a baby at an early age. I don't know enough

00:23:58.620 about that, but I think it's worth mentioning again, because as I mentioned before, I'm trying to just wrap

00:24:04.240 my head around how this incident could happen, how it's possible for a human being to do such an evil

00:24:11.420 thing, where it's coming from, what goes on in this person's brain when he's capable of doing

00:24:16.980 something like this. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that a person can kill the only

00:24:24.020 two people in the world that loves them unconditionally. Yeah, this case is so heartbreaking.

00:24:30.220 And the more we learn, the more confused I get of what really happened here and how.
