Summary

Transcript

00:00:00.000 Guess what happened the same day as this was filmed?
00:00:11.680 Hi and welcome to Flossom Talk. I'm Sashdi Flo and here on my channel I talk about my good amount of experiences in Hollywood,
00:00:18.660 working as an entertainment reporter and as you know a lot about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal feud.
00:00:24.740 And usually on Fridays I have a podcast but today I'm combining my podcast with an episode because there's so much to talk about
00:00:34.560 and I've spent too much time speaking to lawyers and other YouTubers trying to solve this current situation
00:00:41.180 where we're all being subpoenaed for our private information by Blake Lively and her team.
00:00:47.620 So I'm sorry about that but I do promise you that this episode is going to be very juicy.
00:00:55.320 I did get a tip this morning from someone who pointed out the most revealing evidence that I've seen so far in Blake Lively's case.
00:01:05.980 I'm going to talk more about that later but first I wanted to explain today's most important news
00:01:12.080 which is that Blake Lively has subpoenaed 20 people on X as well.
00:01:19.620 As you know she has subpoenaed me and 15 other YouTubers and as you can imagine and as you know
00:01:27.020 we've been all very frustrated about this because it's been so vague.
00:01:31.140 First we thought they weren't real, we thought it was a scam, no one dared to reply to the email because it looks suspicious
00:01:36.920 but now we know it's real and it happened again and this time it's even worse.
00:01:44.640 If it could get worse at this point, it has.
00:01:48.560 So yeah, I'm actually in talks with one of the Xers.
00:01:51.480 Do we call them Xers when they're on X?
00:01:52.960 We call ourselves YouTubers but I don't know, people on X.
00:01:56.740 Her username is The Spiritual Shift and someone showed me her tweet this morning
00:02:03.160 and I read it and then I got in touch with her or she contacted me and we had a conversation about this
00:02:08.660 and I'm going to talk to her later today and I'm going to do an episode with her
00:02:13.240 so please stay tuned for that.
00:02:15.520 I will publish that on Sunday.
00:02:18.240 But anyways, this is what she posted on X last night, late last night.
00:02:23.220 She says,
00:02:24.100 Breaking exclusive, Blake Lively's legal team subpoenaed 20 X users.
00:02:29.300 Unredacted subpoena reveals usernames.
00:02:32.220 I was just subpoenaed over my ex post on the Blake Lively's Justin Maldoni case.
00:02:37.660 Like many of you, I share my thoughts and opinions on public available information.
00:02:42.260 I'm a licensed attorney.
00:02:44.100 I don't know if they know that.
00:02:45.220 If they did, they probably wouldn't do this.
00:02:47.960 Not very smart.
00:02:49.260 And a casual content creator who started covering this case in late December 2024 to early January 2025
00:02:56.020 because it mattered and interested me.
00:02:59.020 I'm not monetized.
00:03:00.860 No ads.
00:03:01.880 No sponsors.
00:03:03.220 No donation.
00:03:04.680 Just over 2,400 followers.
00:03:07.460 Zero dollars made.
00:03:09.480 Like many of you, I was drawn to this case not just because it involves two celebrities in legal dispute
00:03:15.320 but because it exposes something bigger.
00:03:17.680 How media manipulation, celebrity power, and unchecked PR influence are used to control public perception and narratives.
00:03:25.920 So true.
00:03:26.800 That's also why I'm so interested in this case.
00:03:29.840 Of course, you know that I've been dragged into it because of my interview that went viral
00:03:33.380 and started kind of a new avalanche of people questioning Blake's behavior.
00:03:38.000 But one of the things that drew me to this whole legal feud as well is that there's so many layers to it.
00:03:43.300 And now Blake Lively has added one more.
00:03:46.560 And this is completely catastrophic for her.
00:03:51.300 So this is the email that this user received from X.
00:03:56.120 It said,
00:03:56.540 So in this legal filing this subpoena, it says that if she hasn't objected to this by July 16,
00:04:15.360 they may release her private data, which was the day before she actually received the notice.
00:04:22.900 So they sent this to her one day after the deadline to object to it.
00:04:29.040 Isn't that just amazing?
00:04:31.160 And then it says,
00:04:31.960 X has not disclosed any information regarding your account at this time.
00:04:36.400 I don't know what that time is, though.
00:04:39.080 Please be advised that X may be obligated to produce basic subscriber information related to your account in the future.
00:04:47.780 When very vague as well, as you can see, we wanted to bring this matter to your attention.
00:04:52.360 If you intend to challenge the legal process, please raise this matter with the court of competent jurisdiction or the requesting party directly as found in the attached legal process.
00:05:04.540 And it says here,
00:05:05.500 Well, we cannot give you legal advice.
00:05:07.560 We suggest that you seek your own counsel if it doesn't matter, blah, blah, blah.
00:05:11.280 So now she's asking 20 more people to get their own legal counsel.
00:05:16.320 This is what really makes me so angry in this case.
00:05:19.400 She's forcing people to get lawyers who cost usually around $500 an hour.
00:05:26.840 Like I said yesterday, she's just proving again and again that she's a bully.
00:05:32.900 This is bullying behavior.
00:05:35.580 There is a story actually in the Daily Mail from yesterday that just explains this so well.
00:05:43.560 So the Daily Mail actually was the first publication to report on this.
00:05:47.840 I was a little upset that no one picked it up yet, but it seems like now other outlets are starting to pick it up.
00:05:53.620 I spoke to someone yesterday.
00:05:55.140 I think they are going to publish a story today or later today.
00:05:58.460 And I know others as well.
00:06:00.660 Radar Online picked it up.
00:06:02.120 And I think now it's becoming bigger and bigger because now she's started to attack attacking more and more people.
00:06:09.380 And if she's going to set this precedent that celebrities can get away with this by subpoenaing random content creators that are reporting on their behavior or recording on legal documents, that's really, really, really bad for everyone.
00:06:27.920 For freedom of speech, for freedom of press and so on and so on.
00:06:30.900 I've talked about this a lot already.
00:06:32.300 But anyways, this article has a guy who's interviewed.
00:06:36.160 He's a crisis PR expert.
00:06:38.340 He works or he's the CEO of Reputation Management Consultants.
00:06:42.820 His name is Eric Schiffer and he has some amazing quotes.
00:06:48.600 That's why this article made me laugh also because there are, I think they interviewed about three people here.
00:06:54.260 So he is one of them.
00:06:55.940 And then there's another PR expert.
00:06:57.280 And then there's an attorney and all of them completely agree that this move from Blake Lively is a catastrophe.
00:07:06.740 So I'm just going to quote a few of the things that he says here.
00:07:08.820 He's saying dragging micro creators into court over chitchat is nuclear overkill that screams bully, not brilliance.
00:07:17.180 I haven't seen anyone out there yet.
00:07:44.060 Not even like the most diehard Blake Lively supporters, none of them has defended this move.
00:07:53.200 This is just so bad.
00:07:57.140 So this guy, so Eric Schiffer here continues to say,
00:08:01.320 Disney grape charm mutates into a mutant privacy predator.
00:08:05.140 The instant she subpoenas creator's data and drenches Blake's rom-com glow in legal nipalm.
00:08:13.580 The subpoenas spree risk turning America's sweetheart into big brother Blake,
00:08:17.980 accented by airstriking aunts.
00:08:20.940 Many fans don't sip that Kool-Aid.
00:08:23.740 Hauling a channel with 38 subscribers into federal court in the PR equivalent
00:08:27.980 is the PR equivalent of clubbing baby seals for sport.
00:08:33.140 You don't sue low subscriber fleas with flamethrowers unless you crave a David versus Goliath backlash
00:08:39.940 or you are absolutely sure you have the goods.
00:08:43.780 Every subpoenaed small blogger becomes an epic scale martyr.
00:08:47.580 Their followers swarm like digital hornets, he says.
00:08:51.340 He also says over-controlling celebs can take their brands into a death spiral
00:08:56.200 when trying to muscle critics as they can cement a stone-cold crazy narrative that sticks.
00:09:03.340 So many people now are saying that Blake Lively can never ever come back from this
00:09:06.760 because what she's doing right now is proving what kind of person she is
00:09:11.900 and this is backfiring already so major.
00:09:16.860 This is the worst thing she could have done at this point.
00:09:20.440 He also says that her silence now is terrible.
00:09:24.040 It's the worst thing she could do as well.
00:09:25.840 Just stay silent.
00:09:26.840 He's like she needs to get control over this situation
00:09:30.280 because it's spiraling out of control.
00:09:33.100 Anyways, before I get into more juice with you guys,
00:09:35.540 there's so much more good stuff coming.
00:09:37.900 I wanted to thank the sponsor of this video, One Skin.

00:09:47.400 I want science-backed results, not just the marketing hype.
00:09:51.000 I always look at reviews online before I commit to buying anything
00:09:54.560 and that's why I wanted to team up with One Skin.
00:09:57.700 As you know, I've talked about them before on my channel as well.
00:10:01.220 I've been using it for about three or four months now
00:10:03.420 and I have to say I agree with the 3,505 star reviews
00:10:07.540 that they've gotten on their full line of face, body, sun and travel sized products.
00:10:14.160 I really love that I start seeing results so quickly as well.
00:10:17.400 I started seeing a little bit of peeling on my chin,
00:10:19.860 showing that things are happening here.
00:10:21.700 There's new, fresh, younger looking skin appearing underneath
00:10:25.140 and that's thanks to the OS1 peptide that is backed by real science.
00:10:30.720 I can actually see and feel the difference.
00:10:34.080 My skin looks healthier, firmer and more hydrated.

00:10:44.780 And the best part, it's free of harmful chemicals,
00:10:47.580 which is really important to me.
00:10:49.180 And I love that One Skin makes skincare so simple.
00:10:52.420 You just cleanse, pat dry and apply twice daily.
00:10:55.420 That's it.
00:10:56.000 It easily fits into my routine while not adding any extra steps.

00:11:29.820 So please support my channel by telling them that I sent you.
00:11:32.900 Give your skin the scientifically proven dental care
00:11:35.840 that it deserves with One Skin.
00:11:38.200 All right, you guys, let's get back into it.
00:11:39.900 So yesterday, I saw that Donna posted this Donna from Daily Dose of Donna.
00:11:44.360 If you don't know her, she's been here on my channel.
00:11:46.260 And she's been commenting a lot on Blake Lively,
00:11:48.900 Justin Baldoni, legal drama as well.
00:11:51.060 She has a great show and a great podcast.
00:11:53.980 Anyway, she was reposting this from Emily D. Baker.
00:11:58.320 If you don't know who she is, she's an attorney.
00:12:00.640 And she's sitting commenting on a lot of the legal stuff going on in the trials.
00:12:04.600 And I was watching her a lot during Depp versus Heard.
00:12:08.280 And she's now commenting on this case.
00:12:11.420 But what she said about this was really, really caught my attention as well,
00:12:15.600 because she said it so well.
00:12:17.840 She said that subpoenaing content creators is going to be a massive backfire,
00:12:23.180 like a massive effing backfire.
00:12:26.240 She said they have the right to quash them because there probably isn't much of a basis,
00:12:30.760 at least not until discovery is done further with the defendants.
00:12:34.780 And that's so true.
00:12:36.100 Like, no one knows what they're looking for here.
00:12:38.540 And they're not going to find anything from these subpoenas.
00:12:41.060 Then they're going to have to subpoena other stuff,
00:12:43.400 like our bank accounts that I've talked about.
00:12:45.780 Now they just want our bank account number and credit card number and IP address
00:12:49.980 and home address and phone number and everything else that's super invasive.
00:12:53.880 She said a lot of creators, even if they wouldn't call themselves reporters,
00:12:57.340 are covered by a lot of the same shield laws that, like, the New York Times is.
00:13:02.960 Any content creator that gets something like that is going to turn it into content.
00:13:07.440 So for the content creator, it's going to be like, let's write.
00:13:11.760 She's so right.
00:13:14.140 So what Blake Lively is doing now is she's going to make more and more people talk about this.
00:13:20.840 And now we are also cross-promoting each other's channels.
00:13:25.260 Like I said, I'm interviewing someone that's being subpoenaed on X today.
00:13:29.760 Now you guys can go over and follow her on X and see what she's reporting on.
00:13:34.520 And this is what's going to happen now,
00:13:36.240 that more people are going to find even more people they can follow and listen to
00:13:39.960 and get information from.
00:13:41.640 And more people are going to come out and support.
00:13:43.880 More people are going to get interested in this.
00:13:45.560 This is just going to spiral completely out of control.
00:13:49.500 They might be incredibly smart lawyers.
00:13:51.320 I don't doubt that they are.
00:13:52.480 But being incredibly book smart and being incredibly legally smart,
00:13:57.640 being able to cite all of the Supreme Court case law for the last 15 years by name and key site
00:14:02.040 is not going to help if you understand legacy media but don't understand social media
00:14:08.080 because it's just going to keep getting worse and worse and worse.
00:14:10.480 So they have no clue how social media works.
00:14:15.120 This is what Brian Friedman has done so well.
00:14:19.400 Like she's saying here, even his filings, you know, if you read his legal documents from Brian Friedman,
00:14:26.100 everyone can understand them.
00:14:27.720 He's writing in a language that everyone can understand.
00:14:30.680 Why Blake Lively's lawyers are writing in a very legal, very technical language that most of us,
00:14:37.640 and I've seen it myself when I read through those, I'm like, oh my God, I'm so bored.
00:14:40.920 I'm half asleep half the way through because there's so many things that I don't understand
00:14:46.200 because it's legal terms.
00:14:48.000 And like she's saying, this is a very public lawsuit.
00:14:51.480 And the fact that he's been presenting facts the way he has compared to how Blake Lively's team
00:14:57.200 has been presenting this, it's a major difference.
00:15:00.240 And I don't know what stupid idiot was saying that this was a good idea to subpoena content creators.
00:15:08.080 I think this is going to be the end of Blake Lively, as so many people have pointed out here.
00:15:14.000 But anyways, I'm going to talk about that email I spoke about in the beginning of this episode,
00:15:17.800 where I said that I received an email this morning, a very good tip that I did not think about this.
00:15:24.480 I don't know if any of you have seen this detail before.
00:15:28.400 I double-checked everything, and this is so telling.
00:15:32.960 Okay, remember that infamous video that Brian Friedman released with the audio
00:15:38.880 where Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni are dancing?
00:15:42.940 And everyone that saw that video, we were like, oh, that doesn't look like S.H. at all.
00:15:48.520 That looks like two actors acting that they're in love.
00:15:52.860 We all saw it with our own eyes.
00:15:54.780 We analyzed it, and it looked like maybe even Blake Lively was being a little more pushy towards him
00:16:01.760 than the other way around.
00:16:03.080 And it looked like a professional set from what we could see.
00:16:06.300 They were talking to each other out of character, and there was nothing inappropriate about it.
00:16:12.180 Anyways, so Michelle, who sent me this, she pointed out to me,
00:16:16.820 look at the date on that B-roll.
00:16:21.460 And it says at the top here, it says, there's a number there, that's the number of the file,
00:16:28.260 and then it says 230523, R7, blah, blah, blah.
00:16:34.620 So that means 23rd of May, guess what happened the same day as this was filmed?
00:16:45.060 I can't believe Michelle actually noticed this, because this is such an amazing detail.
00:16:50.380 So here is a text message exchange between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni on that exact same day.
00:16:58.920 As you can see here on the top, it says 23rd 05 2023.
00:17:04.740 I double-checked this with the legal documents as well.
00:17:09.420 And the text from Baldoni says, I'm not going to tell you that you were amazing
00:17:14.040 because you teased me for being so sentimental, but you were amazing today.
00:17:19.600 Blake says, same date.
00:17:22.240 Thank you.
00:17:22.880 I do appreciate it.
00:17:23.940 I'm just a ball buster, but it means a lot to me.
00:17:27.040 I care a great deal and always want to deliver.
00:17:30.420 You were terrific.
00:17:33.500 I'm proud of everything we did today, but really every day.
00:17:38.840 I mean, I hope Brian Friedman has seen this because I think this is the most revealing thing
00:17:45.160 almost that I've seen so far.
00:17:47.820 If she's writing this to the same guy that she feels so threatened by
00:17:53.820 and was harassed by earlier, just a few hours earlier that same day,
00:17:59.660 I mean, so remember, this was May 23rd.
00:18:06.780 So just a week, two weeks later on June 2nd, it says here,
00:18:14.280 these are text messages that I took screenshots.
00:18:17.160 So these are text messages, screenshots from a Daily Mail article
00:18:20.300 that they had all the text messages printed.
00:18:22.620 That's why they look kind of nice.
00:18:23.840 But it says here on June 2nd, which is like two weeks later,
00:18:30.720 Blake Lively is sending a message to Justin saying,
00:18:33.500 I'm just pumping in my trailer if you want to work out our lines.
00:18:37.860 And Baldoni says, eating with crew and we'll head that way.
00:18:41.820 And she says, take your time.
00:18:43.540 So this is also after that scene when she heard like main evidence,
00:18:50.100 because that's what she said was kind of her main evidence was that dancing scene.
00:18:54.320 And that was also the claim that leaked to TMZ.
00:18:57.740 Remember that article when she said that, oh, he was trying to kiss me and made it uncomfortable.
00:19:03.240 So that was obviously one of her major evidence that she was going to use.
00:19:09.200 And as you know, she didn't know that there was audio on that.
00:19:12.440 So I'm sure she was going to make up some stuff that they were talking about.
00:19:15.640 But now we know there's audio there and we all heard it.
00:19:20.140 And no one with their right mind can say that there's anything suspicious going on in that footage.
00:19:27.120 So, yes.
00:19:28.540 Thank you, Michelle, for sending me this.
00:19:30.420 I feel so nosy.
00:19:31.900 You know, my nose is so big.
00:19:35.360 Yes, I was hoping that we could address this.
00:19:38.760 It's not too late.
00:19:40.240 Just got to shut down.
00:19:41.400 We've got to call an insurance month and just deal with that.
00:19:43.920 I feel like now when Blake Levy is so desperately trying to prove that there is a smear campaign
00:19:49.060 and she has zero evidence that there was any SH going on.
00:19:54.060 It's like her whole case is collapsing.
00:19:56.980 And people are just appalled by her latest action when she's subpoenaing everyone.
00:20:03.140 This is just so terrible, you guys.
00:20:05.460 Anyways, there's also more legal filings and ruling by the judge.
00:20:09.440 So, he now ruled that Blake Levy is not obliged to show the Wayfair parties her net worth.
00:20:17.820 They want her to prove her financial losses here.
00:20:21.920 And Blake Levy doesn't want to do that.
00:20:25.300 She doesn't want to share her net worth.
00:20:28.520 And the reason why they want to see her net worth is to see how much her investments have,
00:20:35.100 you know, if she has other investments that have, you know, benefited her during this time,
00:20:39.760 that she really hasn't, you know, suffered anything financially.
00:20:43.640 They could also try to show that her brands were not the real source of her wealth.
00:20:50.240 And that could weaken her argument that those brands were really damaged by this alleged smear campaign.
00:20:58.620 She claims that because of Justin Baldoni, her hair care line, Blake Brown,
00:21:03.420 lost about 56 to 70 percent of its potential sale.
00:21:09.060 So, she's seeking damages for that lost income.
00:21:12.860 So, Business Insider did a story on this, and it says here,
00:21:16.580 however, in a partial win for Lively, the judge rejected Baldoni's request for her personal net worth records,
00:21:23.040 agreeing that such details like property values and investments were irrelevant to her business losses.
00:21:29.400 The case continues to move forward, blah, blah, blah.
00:21:32.100 By requesting her net worth, Baldoni's team may have wanted to test the credibility of those claims.
00:21:36.980 If her overall wealth remained stable and grew, it could undermine her claim of serious economic injury.
00:21:45.420 And, of course, he did rule in Blake Lively's favor again, as he's been doing.
00:21:50.580 I think what's going to be really interesting here is to see how Blake Lively claims financial loss,
00:21:55.620 economic loss, while It Ends With Us was so successful.
00:21:59.500 And she was a producer on that film.
00:22:03.140 So, she's claiming that Baldoni was smearing her throughout this whole period of the premiere of the film and what happened after.
00:22:13.620 And then, at the same time, as she was smeared by him, the movie was doing great.
00:22:19.480 But a jury could say, you know, if her reputation was so damaged, why did the movie go so well?
00:22:25.560 Why did it do so well?
00:22:26.640 Why did people still go and watch her in that movie?
00:22:29.200 Because she was the big name of that movie.
00:22:31.080 It was her face on the poster and people still went to see it.
00:22:35.440 So, how can she claim that her image was so damaged?
00:22:39.320 And the movie made so much money in the box office.
00:22:42.200 Everyone was surprised by its success.
00:22:45.000 So, how is she going to claim that?
00:22:47.600 The only thing she can claim is that her hair care line didn't sell and that Betty Buzz and Betty Booze didn't do as well as she hoped for.
00:22:56.460 But, of course, as we all know, Justin Baldoni had nothing to do with that.
00:23:01.700 That was just Blake Lively's smear campaign against herself.
00:23:05.520 She's the only reason why people are not liking her.
00:23:09.860 Because no one needs to get paid to share their opinions about it.
00:23:13.260 People do it for free.
00:23:14.460 Anyways, you guys, thank you so much for watching this episode.
