00:00:00.000 Jenny is partly responsible for all the misery that has been put upon people.
00:00:10.000 Hi and welcome to Flossom Talk. I'm Jashti Floor, journalist, Hollywood truth teller and your voice
00:00:15.120 of reason in a town built on delusion. Okay, you might recognize this studio if you followed me
00:00:22.420 for a while. I'm not in LA right now. I am in Spain. I'm on the beautiful island of Mallorca
00:00:29.080 and I was here for six months last year I'll be here for a while again now but I promise you that
00:00:34.300 I will keep you updated on everything that happens I'll just do it from this studio instead of the
00:00:40.260 one I have in West Hollywood I've been trying my best to make it look a little lush in here since
00:00:43.980 I arrived on Saturday I am super jet lagged so I will try my best to not fall asleep or say anything
00:00:50.760 that doesn't make sense at all so thank you guys if you can be a little patient with me today and
00:00:56.160 maybe for the next couple of days it takes me a while sometimes to get over jet lagged but anyways
00:01:00.900 let's just jump right in so as you know today was supposed to be the big deal the trial was
00:01:06.000 supposed to happen on May 18th and as you know it's not going to happen because Blake decided
00:01:11.580 to settle her case two weeks ago today but that does not mean that the fight is over as you know
00:01:18.620 she's still asking for these attorney's fees and now we've learned that Jed Wallace that hired gun
00:01:25.000 And remember that guy that she blamed everything on,
00:01:27.500 that she said had hired bots to go after her?
00:01:30.640 Well, he has appealed his defamation suit against Blake.
00:01:35.900 This is quite explosive.
00:01:38.260 Also, I got some new information from my insider
00:01:42.140 about what's happening right now to the people who cozy up to Blake.
00:01:47.620 What are the consequences for these people who chose to cozy up to Blake
00:01:52.600 instead of being loyal to Justin.
00:01:55.380 And in the middle of all of this,
00:01:56.900 Blake Lively is posting about donuts again.
00:02:00.660 And it seems like she actually has a friend from childhood.
00:02:04.400 And talking about Blake being on the stand today,
00:02:06.900 I just saw this on Reddit,
00:02:08.500 which just reminded me of how many times Blake lied.
00:02:13.760 I'm wondering how she would have defended these lies
00:02:16.900 when she was on the stand.
00:02:18.200 I just wanted to share this one with you
00:02:20.000 before I start off with this episode,
00:02:21.840 because watching things like this now makes it so clear why her lawyers probably recommended for
00:02:29.840 her to settle every single person in this movie is a revelation you watch them and but but in the
00:02:35.220 book too you read these characters and you're like oh my god like i love these people and even people
00:02:39.540 that you shouldn't love you love and and that's you know the the complexity of colleen's writing
00:02:43.720 is to show like how multifaceted people are and like you know she taps into every human emotion
00:02:47.960 it's like a roller coaster it's like a six flags but like an emotional female journey yes as you
00:02:53.220 could hear she was talking about this on book bonanza that she had read the book and as you
00:02:57.340 could see from this in her deposition she said she had never read the book there are so many little
00:03:02.340 lies like this and that makes me think that when you lie so much you probably lose control over
00:03:08.760 what's true and what's a lie in the end because it's so easy for you to lie and why would you lie
00:03:14.720 about something so simple as if you have read the book or not. You have to remember that you sat in
00:03:21.100 front of an audience at Book Penance talking about how it was to read this book. And then in
00:03:26.960 deposition under oath, you say that you didn't. So either you just admitted that you lied to this
00:03:32.100 audience or you lied in the deposition. But anyways, I just wanted to share this as an example
00:03:37.120 of the things that Justy Baldoni's attorneys could have used against her when she was on that stand
00:03:43.560 at trial and as you know there are so many examples like this and i can imagine they would
00:03:49.000 represent one after the other of all these lies and it would just make it so easy for them to
00:03:54.340 convince the jury that this person is just a liar so why would you believe anything she says
00:04:00.340 as i said blake lively posted about donuts again i mean she's so predictable at this point it's
00:04:07.800 either some baking goods or it's about something her children did or it's about her being a mom
00:04:13.540 or it's about her being a good friend to someone and this time she tagged a friend and they
00:04:19.640 apparently went to disney world together and had so much fun because you can also have fun at disney
00:04:25.180 world as a grown-up apparently i feel at this point she just wants to show the world that she
00:04:29.960 has real friends that she actually has friends from childhood because she mentioned here that
00:04:34.840 they've been friends for 21 years i went into this girl's instagram to see if she had reposted
00:04:40.580 the story that Blake Lively did and she hadn't so I guess she's not that proud of being friends
00:04:45.460 with Blake Lively but these dotas also reminded me about that scandal about a year ago when Blake
00:04:51.100 Lively went into a bakery store and didn't wear a hairnet and then was baking and helping out in
00:04:57.360 the kitchen there and people posted about it and it started a big locomotion online and there were 0.70
00:05:03.360 so many bad Yelp reviews at that restaurant because she didn't cover her hair when she was in the
00:05:09.020 kitchen so yeah it turned out to be a disaster for this baking store that Blake Lively actually
00:05:13.920 turned up as you know most small businesses would love to have a celebrity stop by their store
00:05:18.840 but now I'm imagining when they see Blake Lively arriving they're like hey let's look up this store
00:05:23.680 we don't want her to tag us in anything anyways let's get to what my insider is telling me
00:05:28.680 so this is from the same person that I speak to very often and they sent me an email that I received
00:05:35.120 this morning saying that lately I am hearing more about the fallout from the case in terms of actors
00:05:41.580 involved. As you know Blake managed to turn all the other actors basically against Justin Baldoni
00:05:48.620 and as you know she also told them to basically unfollow Justin Baldoni on Instagram and it says
00:05:54.080 here that it still has a lot of unanswered questions for the careers of Jenny Slates
00:05:58.520 and Brandon Sklenar. In Hollywood people originally really respected both of them but they have
00:06:05.020 for sure taken a hit with a lot of the industry who would normally want to work with them.
00:06:10.220 It's interesting to see two different narratives forming. Originally, people thought that both of
00:06:15.140 them were somewhat gullible pawns of Blake. It felt like they understandably wanted to support
00:06:20.840 their friend and got caught up in the supposed power shine of Blake and Ryan. And it feels like
00:06:26.140 Brandon may still be in this camp. An unwitting compliance to Blake's power grab. He just didn't
00:06:33.140 question her claims in any meaningful way and was so grateful to her for getting him a job and
00:06:38.320 Paul Feig's movie. He didn't want to look any further. He didn't smell the manipulation and
00:06:43.420 the lies. I feel Brandon Sklenor is a little bit naive, actually. But anyways, it was sloppy and
00:06:48.380 lazy on his part. But today he could come back strong if he were to just acknowledge that he
00:06:54.260 has learned something from this, that there was more to the story than he realized and that he
00:07:00.380 never witnessed anything like the claims that Blake made in other words if he were to be a man
00:07:06.620 right now and own up to what happened without insulting Blake but clearly admitting his role
00:07:12.340 the public in Hollywood could possibly respect him again I think that's a great idea for Brandon
00:07:18.380 actually but I don't think he's going to do it to me the way he reacted by just deleting his entire
00:07:23.760 Instagram that I spoke about the other day and started all over again without any connection
00:07:27.980 to Blake without any photos of her without anything about it ends with us on his Instagram
00:07:32.500 that just tells me everything about how he is handling all of this but anyways the person
00:07:38.200 continues to say with Jenny it's not so simple we thought she was in a similar camp as Brandon
00:07:43.900 an unwitting pawn but texts reveal that from the beginning she was helping Blake and encouraging
00:07:50.520 her in a in her disrespect for their director for Justin that part is looked at as unforgivable
00:07:57.820 in Hollywood. Blake is really warm. She really asks a lot of beautiful questions. She's very
00:08:04.940 caring and willing to share. And for me, that's kind of like, it's all I like. You know, it's like
00:08:12.080 my favorite thing. It's like, I just really like that. And I'm very chatty. And I felt like we
00:08:16.160 fell right into a chatty onset vibe that then became deep. And I'm really grateful for our
00:08:23.100 friendship the truth is jenny could have helped prevent this entire disaster if she would have
00:08:29.280 acted in a more professional and dignified way when an actor gets full of their ego and becomes
00:08:35.240 convinced they are greater and better and mightier in every way than the director who hired them
00:08:41.620 who asked them to come aboard their project and pay them vast sums of money it sometimes takes a
00:08:48.720 calmer voice to bring them back to reality. They need someone to vent to but someone who helps them
00:08:54.460 get back on track so that so that they can make the movie in a healthy collaborative way. Jenny
00:09:01.040 did not do this. She participated in the ridicule. She participated in the mockery. She made Blake
00:09:08.860 feel what she was doing to wrestle control from the director was okay. Jenny is partly responsible
00:09:15.420 for the end of Blake's career.
00:09:18.440 Jenny is partly responsible for all the misery
00:09:21.540 that has been put upon people.
00:09:24.340 The humiliation of Justice's entire family,
00:09:27.840 the humiliation of Jen Abel, Jamie's wife, Natasha,
00:09:32.060 even the destruction of Stephanie Jones
00:09:34.580 when she loses the next court battle
00:09:37.060 and the Van Zem Sham lawsuit is exposed.
00:09:41.300 wow this are this is really harsh against jenny's slate
00:09:46.680 true or false you just went to second base with my dog true or false it's my dog now babe
00:09:52.800 i wonder if something more happened there did something more happen that we don't know yet
00:09:59.140 about jenny's role here because this person as i said is very close to the parties here so i feel
00:10:05.800 that there is some underlying things here that we don't know about although we have seen a lot
00:10:11.840 of the text messages between Jenny and Blake and how she was talking to Blake behind Justin's back
00:10:18.140 as well and how she inserted herself into this drama by mentioning the thing about her leather
00:10:24.240 pants which was the only thing she could point to that she had an issue with with Justin was that he
00:10:29.500 once told her that her pants were sexy at the end here they point out that Jenny was a part of all
00:10:35.640 of this. She has caused so much pain to innocent people in her desperation to suck up to the queen 0.99
00:10:43.520 mean girl. There isn't much left to admire about her. Some people still want to work with her 0.99
00:10:49.100 because she's funny, but very few people will respect her and fewer will ever trust her.
00:10:56.300 Well, that's interesting. I never thought Jenny Slate was funny, to be honest. I've never met
00:11:01.080 her but i feel like she's one of those people who try really hard to be funny and then she pushes
00:11:05.740 the buttons too far and it just becomes vulgar and it's not my sense of humor but maybe some people
00:11:11.780 find her funny who knows yeah let me know what you think do you think jenny slate is more to blame
00:11:16.760 here or did brandon sclenor participate just as much as jenny did i feel like jenny has been in
00:11:23.060 the industry for so much longer and she should really know better anyways let's talk about jed
00:11:28.340 Wallace, who has now appealed his defamation suit against Blake Lively. As you know, Blake and her
00:11:35.280 team pointed to Jed Wallace as being the hired gun. He's the one all celebrities goes to when
00:11:41.780 they want to bury some kind of scandal. And they were accusing him of having this underground
00:11:47.460 untraceable smear machine, as Blake Lively's attorney, Michael Gottlieb, famously said in
00:11:53.220 an interview recently and as you know Blake Lively sued Jed Wallace in the beginning of this drama
00:11:59.760 and Jed Wallace sued her back. Blake's case against Jed Wallace was dismissed because he
00:12:06.720 lives in Texas and the judge said we don't have jurisdiction over him in New York so you have to
00:12:12.700 go to Texas to sue him. Jed Wallace's case against Blake Lively was also dismissed because he's in
00:12:19.200 Texas and she's in New York and the judge there say you have to go to New York to sue her but he
00:12:25.160 is not done. So now Jed Wallace made an appeal trying to convince some new judges that his
00:12:32.080 lawsuit against Blake Lively should still be going on in Texas. So now Jed Wallace has filed
00:12:38.760 66 pages trying to convince the appellate court that his case should survive in Texas. As Jed
00:12:45.380 wallace has said before being dragged into this lawsuit by blake has cost him a lot of money and
00:12:51.580 it has cost him his reputation in an industry where his business is built on integrity and
00:12:58.220 loyalty towards clients and blake lively wanted his list of clients to be public and as you know
00:13:05.000 it was just revealed that he was in the talks of with rfk jr that he was supposed to help him
00:13:11.220 very negative stories about him and push positive stories about him, something that all politicians
00:13:17.040 do. And he did not end up working with him. But of course, the New York Times made a big deal
00:13:22.500 about that and did a big story about like, hey, there is a big name involved here as well. Of
00:13:27.220 course, this proof that there was a smear machine, whatever. But bottom line is Jed Wallace has lost
00:13:33.060 a lot of business because of this. So he's trying to tell the Fifth Circuit, which is where he's
00:13:38.020 appealing this, that the previous judge did it all wrong. They made a bad mistake and this lawsuit
00:13:45.320 should survive. Yeah, so we'll see what happens with this case. I would love for this to move
00:13:49.800 forward. I don't know how easy it's going to be for him to win a defamation case. I think it's
00:13:55.440 easier for a person who's not famous to begin with and Jed Wallace is not famous and he doesn't want
00:14:01.780 to be famous. He wants to run his business underground, as you know. So good luck to Jed
00:14:06.660 Wallace I will keep you updated as soon as we hear from the appellate court I don't know how
00:14:11.100 long that's going to take I feel like these things move very very slowly what I am excited about
00:14:16.360 though is the lawsuit between the two publicists Stephanie Jones and Jennifer Abel because when we
00:14:22.380 get into discovery there that's when we are going to find out more about how Blake and Ryan used
00:14:29.180 their company Van Zam to get Jennifer Abel's phone legally and what really happened there the
00:14:35.420 communication between everyone on how they got that phone and how they gave it to the New York
00:14:41.580 Times. I can't wait to see all those details. I'm not sure when we can expect to see any evidence
00:14:48.120 about this case but I'm sure it's just around the corner because the judge has already ruled that
00:14:53.400 this case is moving forward or most of Jennifer Abel's claims against Stephanie Jones are moving
00:14:59.960 forward as you know both of them worked for the same publicity company and stephanie and when
00:15:05.180 jennifer abel said to stephanie jones she wanted to start her own company and bring with her
00:15:09.840 justin baldoni and the wayfarer parties stephanie jones snapped and took her phone gave it to blake 1.00
00:15:16.300 lively to give it to the new york times and now stephanie jones i think is the biggest loser in 1.00
00:15:21.440 all of this she has thrown basically everyone under the bus one by one and has zero loyalty 1.00
00:15:27.880 anywhere so good luck to stephanie jones who wants to get into business with someone like that before 0.96
00:15:33.920 i go i wanted to mention this email i received this morning from coco which kind of made me think
00:15:40.220 as well this is completely speculations just to put that out there i'm not saying any of these
00:15:47.080 things happened but it does make a little bit sense now that we know a little more about who
00:15:52.800 Ryan Reynolds really is. As Coco said, now that we know what Blake and Ryan are like, this makes
00:15:58.880 sense. According to Wikipedia, Ryan and Scarlett's divorce was finalized in July 2011. As you know,
00:16:06.640 he was married to Scarlett Johansson when he met Blake Lively. They're claiming that they didn't
00:16:11.700 start dating until after Ryan divorced Scarlett, but they met during the movie or the making of
00:16:19.640 Green Lantern and Scarlett Johansson was still married to Ryan Reynolds. And Coco points out
00:16:25.920 here that nude pictures of Scarlett, remember that scandal? It was huge back in 2011 that there were
00:16:33.700 some leaked photos of celebrities and Scarlett Johansson was one of them. And she's saying here
00:16:39.740 that Scarlett said that these photos were only on Ryan Reynolds' phones, which makes sense because
00:16:45.000 they were a couple back then so who would you send these photos to if it wasn't to your husband
00:16:50.500 unless you're cheating on your husband but i don't think that she was the cheating person here and as
00:16:55.460 you know at this point ryan had already met blake so all of this happened around the same time as
00:17:02.520 these photos were leaked these photos that were apparently on ryan reynolds phone that his ex-wife
00:17:10.240 had sent to him the fbi got involved in this and they did find a person who admitted i think at
00:17:16.920 this point that he was involved in hacking into a lot of celebrities phones and i think that person
00:17:22.980 actually got a 10-year prison sentence for doing that but as coco is mentioning here the timing is
00:17:29.880 a little suspect and i feel at this point nothing i hear about ryan reynolds actually surprises me
00:17:34.700 So yeah, just worth mentioning without saying anything more about that.
00:17:38.880 Allegedly, allegedly.
00:17:40.600 Anyways, that's it for me today, you guys.
00:17:42.400 I hope this episode made sense.
00:17:44.180 I tried my best.
00:17:45.540 My brain is not working the way it should be working.
00:17:48.300 Hopefully, it's a little better tomorrow.
00:17:50.560 But anyways, thank you guys so much for stopping by.
00:17:53.880 And if you haven't subscribed yet, please do and hit the notification bell
00:17:57.380 so you never miss an episode of Flossom Talk.
00:17:59.700 And I'll see you soon.
00:18:00.900 Bye!
00:18:04.700 Thank you.
