00:00:00.000 Okay, it's official, Dwayne The Rock Johnson has entered the drama.
00:00:10.960 Hi and welcome to Flossom Talk, I'm Tashty Floor, journalist, Hollywood truth teller,
00:00:15.620 and your voice of reason in a town built on delusion.
00:00:20.140 Okay, it's official, Dwayne The Rock Johnson has entered the drama.
00:00:26.420 New unsealed testimony implies that he was asking about a smear website.
00:00:33.680 Let's look into that and what really happened between The Rock and Ryan Reynolds
00:00:38.580 and what Justin Baldoni was told about this feud by his then publicist, Stephanie Jones.
00:00:46.460 This is getting really messy.
00:00:48.420 And while we're at it, did Ryan Reynolds create a character to mock The Rock as well,
00:00:54.620 just like he did with Justin Baldoni and Night's Pool.
00:00:58.600 And who planted that article about The Rock being problematic in the rap?
00:01:04.380 So many questions here and I went down the rabbit hole.
00:01:08.200 Let's also look at some of the other unsealed documents
00:01:10.840 that definitely shows that somebody is lying.
00:01:15.360 But before we start, I just wanted to pay my little tribute to Dolly Parton
00:01:21.320 and all her fans out there.
00:01:23.460 It's so rare that you find a celebrity like her that everyone kind of just loves.
00:01:30.880 It is impossible not to like Dolly Parton. 0.99
00:01:34.320 No matter where you are on the political spectrum, you just have to like her.
00:01:39.420 Not that you necessarily have to love her music, but her philanthropy, her personality,
00:01:44.920 her grace, her sense of humor.
00:01:48.080 She never took herself seriously.
00:01:50.000 And it seems like her main goal in life was just to spread happiness.
00:01:54.980 So I wanted to share my favorite quotes with you guys from Dolly Parton.
00:01:59.360 Number one, of course, being it costs a lot of money to look this cheap.
00:02:04.640 And another one, the way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you got to put up with rain.
00:02:10.440 She also said, if you see someone without a smile today, give them yours.
00:02:15.020 And she said, people always ask me how long it takes to do my hair. 0.52
00:02:18.600 I don't know I'm never there and then she said I'm not offended by dumb blonde jokes because
00:02:26.500 I know I'm not dumb and I'm not blonde either yeah I just wanted to remind everyone of what
00:02:33.000 an amazing woman she really was and what an inspiration she was to so many people anyways
00:02:40.100 let's get into all the madness here anyways TMC picked up this story yesterday about Blake
00:02:48.000 Lively's unsealed deposition where she talked about how she got a hold of the text messages
00:02:54.040 in Justin Baldoni's publicist phone. They wrote a story about it saying Blake Lively reveals how
00:03:00.460 she obtained texts from Baldoni battle. This story is so one-sided by the way. It tells the story
00:03:09.100 basically of how Blake was contacted by Taylor Swift friend who's also Taylor Swift's friend
00:03:15.500 Ashley Avignon, but they forget to mention here this Van Zandt-Sham lawsuit, which should have
00:03:23.420 been the headline here, that there was a fake lawsuit that was filed to get hold of this phone
00:03:30.460 legally. Yeah, so they completely ignore the shadiness of all of this. But no matter what,
00:03:36.640 this looks terrible, terrible, terrible for Stephanie Jones. She's supposed to help clients
00:03:42.640 get good PR. And then she ends up in a headline like this, painted as an epic level trader.
00:03:50.540 Well, good luck to Stephanie Jones getting new clients after this. Anyways, there are some more
00:03:56.840 interesting unsealings. I'm going to talk about some of it tomorrow as well. But I just wanted
00:04:01.760 to mention before I get into all this drama with The Rock here, that there's been some unsealings
00:04:07.640 in regards to these smear websites that Stephanie Jones claims that Melissa Nathan and Jed Wallace
00:04:15.820 was behind, this crisis PR manager and the hired gun that Blake Lively says was the brain behind
00:04:24.480 her smear campaign. And there's no evidence that they did any of this stuff. Nothing has come out.
00:04:31.540 They even subpoenaed some of these domain websites to see who actually bought these domains that Stephanie Jones claims that they created.
00:04:43.200 And there is no correlation here.
00:04:45.720 It says here that the Stephanie Jones website domain was purchased by someone called Courtney Engel.
00:04:51.800 and the company name is blackened out but it ends with ble meaning not tag which is
00:05:00.420 the crisis management company that melissa nason works for and the same goes to the pinterest
00:05:06.940 account which was logged in from hong kong i don't know if they're using other people or other names
00:05:14.900 to create things but this is not looking great for stephanie jones because there's no evidence here
00:05:19.700 All she can relay on is the testimony of someone who used to work with Melissa Nathan called Katie Case.
00:05:28.520 So Katie Case has been saying this entire time that she was approached by Melissa Nathan and Jed Wallace about smear websites and about creating tweets that was negative towards Stephanie Jones.
00:05:44.780 but both Melissa Nathan and Jed Wallace denies this and there is no communication proving that
00:05:52.200 that ever happened. So either you have to believe that Katie Case is lying here or you have to
00:05:59.720 believe that Melissa Nathan and Jed Wallace are lying. And Melissa Nathan was asked in her
00:06:06.200 deposition if she believes that Katie is lying and she says yes I do believe she is lying. But
00:06:12.860 anyways this is where it gets really juicy because now we get to the rock so Dwayne Johnson
00:06:20.480 was a client of Stephanie Jones until they had a fallout and in Katie Case's deposition
00:06:29.880 she talks about Dwayne Johnson and she's asked here by an attorney how did you become aware of
00:06:37.140 the website disparaging of Miss Jones. And Katie K says, I received a call from Melissa in early
00:06:45.560 May. It was communicated to me that a website had been requested. A website had been requested?
00:06:53.460 Yeah, the creation of a website had been requested. By whom? And she responds, Melissa
00:06:59.600 presented to me that a potential new client
00:07:04.220 had requested the formulation of a website.
00:07:08.420 At the time, it was represented to me
00:07:11.400 that it was Dwayne Johnson.
00:07:14.680 And the attorney is asking,
00:07:15.760 Melissa Nathan told you that Mr. Johnson,
00:07:18.460 Dwayne Johnson the Rock,
00:07:19.660 had requested preparation of a website about Ms. Jones?
00:07:25.180 And Katie says she represented to me
00:07:27.680 that he had requested the creation of a website of this nature. Did she tell you anything else
00:07:34.880 about what Mr. Johnson had requested? And she says, not what he had requested specifically.
00:07:41.020 Generally, what he had requested then, not necessarily what he had requested, but specific
00:07:47.140 language was communicated, she says. What was the specific language that Stephanie holds clients
00:07:54.600 hostage, that she leaks clients' secrets, and that she treats her employees poorly amongst 1.00
00:08:01.940 others. Okay, so Miss Nathan told you that Mr. Johnson had said the things that you just said
00:08:09.180 to me? No, she says. Who did Miss Nathan say, said that Stephanie holds clients hostage? And
00:08:18.340 then she says, I don't know who might have said that. This language was communicated to me.
00:08:24.600 by miss nathan the conversation was with her yes it was a conversation yes did miss nathan send you
00:08:33.760 any written communication about this not about the language to be used no katie says generally
00:08:41.860 about the website and she says at the time no and then the question and then the attorney says at
00:08:48.760 any time and she says there was conversations about the copy that i had written based on that
00:08:54.300 information provided i redrafted and sent back to her did you draft the copy for the website about
00:09:01.980 miss jones based on the conversations and the language provided to me i provided copy katie
00:09:09.680 says so yes you provided you wrote the copy that was that became the website of miss jones
00:09:16.220 and then the attorney is asking did she put anything in writing about the language to be
00:09:20.660 used in the website and then she says no what happened did she send an audio message no what
00:09:27.760 happened after you provided miss nathan with a copy and she says i don't know this is so vague
00:09:36.060 so definitely dwayne johnson did not get a website he never hired tag to do this crisis management
00:09:47.300 thing for him who knows if he ever contacted them we don't know for sure I feel so many people are
00:09:54.040 not really telling the truth here but I find this thing with the rock Dwayne Johnson quite interesting
00:10:01.000 on so many levels one of the reasons is because when I read this I was really shocked to hear that
00:10:09.160 Dwayne Johnson would ask for something like this I've interviewed him so many times and I really
00:10:15.300 love interviewing him he's one of my all-time favorites he's so nice he's so professional
00:10:21.980 he's so present he's just nice to everyone and I never heard anyone say anything bad about him
00:10:30.120 he had a public feud with Vin Diesel a few years back I'll get into that later but apart from that
00:10:37.640 he has a great reputation as far as I know but I'm just talking from my own personal experience
00:10:44.640 with him here. So keep that in mind. I mean also keep in mind that Dwayne The Rock Johnson was one
00:10:51.040 of the best paid actors in Hollywood at this point and he is as you know super busy with his social
00:10:58.300 media making all these boobies working out. So I just found it a little weird that he would be
00:11:03.080 this vindictive against someone after they ended their relationship. I mean yeah it doesn't make
00:11:10.000 any sense to me. So Stephanie Jones was repping The Rock for many years and also repping his
00:11:17.260 production company. And we know from Justin Baldoni's deposition that she was really loose-lipped
00:11:24.060 about her ex-client. So according to Justin Baldoni's deposition, she told him about the feud
00:11:32.480 between Ryan Reynolds and The Rock. So Justin testified that Stephanie told him Ryan Reynolds
00:11:38.980 had terrorized The Rock or something to that extent, he remembered Jones mentioning a letter
00:11:47.860 and said the dispute apparently resulted in Reynolds and Johnson not doing press together.
00:11:54.840 Baldoni was very clear that he did not remember the details and regarded what Jones was telling
00:12:00.360 him as a lot of gossip. So apparently Ryan Reynolds was terrorizing The Rock according
00:12:09.280 to Stephanie Jones who was repping The Rock. So I'm sure she knows all the insight of what
00:12:16.660 happened there and apparently she said there was a letter. So Ryan Reynolds then probably
00:12:23.780 wrote a letter to the rock or something like that we don't know anything more than what Justin said
00:12:31.580 in this deposition at this point but we know that Stephanie Jones holds a grudge against the rock
00:12:39.960 we saw in text messages that I showed last week that she blocked him and his team from the Instagram 0.99
00:12:48.540 account of Jones Works and things like that. And we also know that he appeared in that Business
00:12:54.900 Insider article where it was reported on all the people who can't stand Stephanie Jones.
00:13:02.520 Anyway, so Ryan Reynolds and The Rock were in a movie together called Red Notice. And this was in
00:13:09.240 2021. And there were rumors about them not getting along. But there were only rumors until the rap
00:13:18.140 published this story in 2024 about how The Rock had been so impossible to work with because he
00:13:28.240 was always late on set. So this story was dropped about a year after The Rock fired Stephanie Jones
00:13:39.200 as his rep. So it says here in The Wrap that Red One Down, which was the movie he was in then,
00:13:47.700 it was not red notice the movie he was in with ryan reynolds but this was a movie red one that
00:13:54.140 was premiering later in that year in november of 2024 and this article dropped i think it was in
00:14:01.600 april of 2024 it said red one down how dwayne johnson's tardiness led to a 250 million dollar
00:14:11.680 runaway production exclusive the amazon mdm film was delayed to a november 2024 release
00:14:20.040 then they go through all these sources who are claiming to have issues with the rock on the set
00:14:27.500 saying that he was up to seven hours late and his tardiness was driving people crazy everyone of
00:14:35.760 course was anonymous as usual when you're calling someone out in the media. So this came at a time
00:14:43.240 where The Rock had two new projects lined up. He had this movie, Red One, and he also had Moana
00:14:51.660 coming out later in the fall. It also said in the article though that Amazon, the studio behind
00:14:58.180 the movie, strongly denied the extreme Red One lateness allegations saying claims Johnson was
00:15:05.340 seven or eight hours late were ridiculous and false. Other sources told the rap he was generally
00:15:11.520 no more than about an hour late. Johnson's Red One director, Jay Shkashdan and Chris Evans later
00:15:19.540 publicly defended him as well. So my big question about this article is who knew all this information
00:15:26.440 about what happened on this set and who knew the information about what happened on Red Notice
00:15:35.320 because that feud between Ryan and The Rock had not been public yet
00:15:41.120 of what exactly had happened here.
00:15:43.020 And in this article, they can reveal some juicy inside information
00:15:48.160 about the feud between The Rock and Ryan.
00:15:51.260 And it says here that Ryan became furious
00:15:55.240 after allegedly waiting five hours for Johnson.
00:15:59.620 He confronted him and they had a huge fight
00:16:02.420 and johnson stormed off the set and they didn't speak for years so they broke that story so who
00:16:10.940 had this inside information and talk to the rap about this who would the rap contact if they
00:16:17.140 wanted some background information about the rock maybe his ex-publicist who then had a grudge
00:16:23.320 against him maybe she would tell this story who knows maybe ryan reynolds would tell this story
00:16:29.100 Who else from that set would come forward and just randomly tell this story to the rap?
00:16:35.800 They say here that a spokesperson for Reynolds declined to comment.
00:16:40.220 Yeah, I don't believe any of these insiders anymore that are just insiders or sources.
00:16:46.780 You know they're coming from publicists because if it's one thing that we learned
00:16:50.760 from this whole legal drama is that the publicists are so dirty.
00:16:57.780 And whose interest was it to add this information to this story to make it look like Johnson, Dwayne Johnson, had a huge problem and he is the problem always.
00:17:10.360 It's also interesting to note that Dwayne Johnson's feud with Vin Diesel that happened during the shooting of Fast and Furious, the franchise, it became pretty public.
00:17:23.400 and I remember I interviewed both of them for those movies
00:17:26.600 and they never did press together
00:17:28.460 and sometimes they weren't even in the same city doing press
00:17:32.000 and the reason for their fallout
00:17:34.040 which was what the public reason was at least
00:17:36.520 was that Vin Diesel was always late
00:17:40.300 he ruined the shoot because he was late
00:17:43.280 and everyone had to wait for him
00:17:44.740 and I have to say
00:17:46.160 every single time that I've interviewed Vin Diesel
00:17:50.220 he's been late
00:17:51.860 he's been late up to seven hours i waited seven hours for him that was during covid during the
00:17:59.380 latest fast and furious movie we were on the universal lot and i waited for him seven hours
00:18:05.480 because he took all his kids to all the rides in the park before he took time to talk to the press
00:18:12.520 so anyways vin diesel is notoriously known for being late so it's kind of interesting that the
00:18:20.260 Rock is being accused of being late here. And it also made me think about all the things that
00:18:25.300 Blake and Ryan accused Justin Baldoni on the Wayfair parties of that we later learned that
00:18:30.680 they were guilty of themselves. And we also know that Ryan Reynolds keeps his grudges forever.
00:18:38.920 He will never leave a person alone if he doesn't like that person and he will take any opportunity
00:18:44.500 that comes along to smear and to go after and to ruin things for that person.
00:18:51.080 The timing of this article is interesting as well.
00:18:53.340 The Rock had just been at CinemaCon and he had just promoted Disney's Moana 2.
00:19:00.320 And he also just had received NATO's Spirit of the Industry Award as well.
00:19:05.980 And he was on a roll to start promoting these two next big projects.
00:19:11.480 And then voila, this article comes out of nowhere, trying to paint him as unprofessional.
00:19:18.800 And another aspect of this was that it wasn't only Dwayne Johnson who was smeared in that
00:19:24.480 article, it was also his production company, because Red One was produced by Seven Bucks
00:19:30.420 Production, which is owned by Dwayne Johnson.
00:19:33.640 So they basically questioned the competence and professionalism surrounding his own production
00:19:39.020 operation as well.
00:19:40.000 And as I said in the headline here, that Dwayne Johnson's tardiness led to $250 million runaway production.
00:19:48.920 So yes, they were not only going after him personally, they were going after his production company as well.
00:19:55.800 Interestingly enough, TMZ did a follow-up story on this article in The Wrap,
00:20:00.360 specifically about the fallout between Ryan Reynolds and The Rock.
00:20:05.620 and they had this headline saying the rock on red notice clashed with ryan reynolds issues
00:20:12.160 now resolved yeah we got some hard-working pr people behind this article for sure it says here
00:20:20.060 while the rap which first reported this claimed it was a huge fight they had our sources say it
00:20:25.940 wasn't nearly as dramatic but that ryan reynolds did have a talk with his co-star we're told there
00:20:32.860 some truth to the notion ryan was upset the rock was repeatedly late to set something that came to
00:20:38.700 head when ryan spoke to him about it which we're told was affecting the shooting schedule and the
00:20:44.480 production at large during a complicated time it's so interesting that he's being accused of delaying
00:20:52.760 the production here because as i mentioned when i interviewed someone who worked with him at the
00:21:00.000 hip man's bodyguard's wife ryan was accused of delaying the production constantly because you
00:21:08.400 know he loves to improvise with his jokes and rewriting every single scene and every single
00:21:16.400 line and people got really upset about that and he kept delaying the shoot because of that
00:21:22.500 exactly what blake lively did in it ends with us when she came with new rewrites every single day
00:21:29.220 when she showed up for the shoot.
00:21:31.020 This article was updated later by TMZ
00:21:33.960 saying that a rep for Amazon MGM Studio
00:21:37.560 tells TMZ Dwayne Johnson and Seven Bucks,
00:21:41.120 his production company,
00:21:42.580 have been incredibly partners on Red One,
00:21:45.300 a film that audiences of all ages
00:21:47.020 are going to love this holiday season.
00:21:49.380 Our testing has been very strong.
00:21:51.420 The reaction from CinemaCon speaks for itself.
00:21:53.920 Blah, blah, blah.
00:21:55.180 And we wouldn't have made it
00:21:56.500 without Dwayne's constant work and support.
00:21:58.660 I mean, this is what they always say anyway.
00:22:01.340 They add, any reporting that implies that we got to this point
00:22:04.960 with him showing up seven, eight hours late to set
00:22:09.180 is both ridiculous and false.
00:22:12.180 So my question is still, who gave this story to the rap and why?
00:22:18.180 Who wanted to harm The Rock?
00:22:21.080 We obviously have two people here
00:22:22.900 that would have a huge interest in harming The Rock,
00:22:26.340 and that is Stephanie Jones and Ryan Reynolds.
00:22:29.500 People Magazine also wanted to get involved in this story
00:22:33.060 and they're bringing up an Esquire interview
00:22:35.320 that The Rock did in 2017
00:22:37.420 when he admitted back then,
00:22:39.560 which was before the rap article,
00:22:42.160 so they already knew this about him,
00:22:44.600 that he sometimes would bring out a bottle
00:22:46.940 and pee in the bottle if he was working out
00:22:49.760 because he didn't have time to go to the bathroom or whatever
00:22:52.580 and that is something that was brought up
00:22:55.160 in that article in the rap and someone was saying that this also happened on set during the shoot
00:23:03.040 of red one then there's a quote from the director of red one saying here he has a lot going on he
00:23:09.460 can be late sometimes but such in is hollywood that's the case with everybody honestly i made
00:23:15.900 three big movies with him i've never seen him be anything but great to every single person on set
00:23:21.600 and Chris Evans his co-star also jumped in here it says Chris Evans also disagreed with that
00:23:27.080 article's depiction of Johnson's behavior though he did acknowledge that Johnson often worked
00:23:32.460 out in the morning before arriving on set but this is something that the producers the director
00:23:38.280 and it's all his team so they all know this so it's all basics said Chris Evans and also said
00:23:45.420 it's not like he's late unexpectedly and I wouldn't even call it late he comes in slightly
00:23:51.080 later on certain mornings but it's part of the plan it's worked into the schedules and everyone
00:23:57.220 knows it so he shows up when he's scheduled to show up anyways I know it's really annoying when
00:24:03.980 people are late I'm always on time myself so it really annoys me but I've also been on movie sets
00:24:09.780 and everything is delayed all the time you just sit around and wait and wait and wait and that's
00:24:15.900 the whole game so yeah I don't know where the truth lays here but as I said what's interesting
00:24:22.080 here is that this article pops up when he's about to promote new projects and just a year after he
00:24:29.980 fired Jones Works. Anyways let's look more into this feud that he had with Ryan Reynolds and if
00:24:37.120 ryan actually went as far as to create a character in free guy to mock the rock but before we get
00:24:46.380 into that i wanted to send a big thank you to the sponsor of this video factor meals my daily
00:24:52.040 schedule is pretty hectic between doing research filming editing walking oscar playing tennis
00:25:01.820 adding screenings or events. And sometimes after a long day, the last thing I want to do is plan a
00:25:07.480 meal, cook it, and then clean up afterwards. That's why having Factor waiting in the fridge
00:25:13.840 is a lifesaver. Factor's chef-crafted, dietician-designed meals are ready in less than
00:25:21.520 two minutes. No grocery shopping, no prepping, no mess. And with so many delicious options every
00:25:29.420 single week I feel like I'm walking into a restaurant when opening the fridge. To me eating
00:25:35.220 healthy is more about convenience than anything else because I love eating healthy food but I
00:25:40.040 don't always love the cooking part. Having a menu like this always available in your fridge makes
00:25:46.100 all the difference to me. I also love having their protein shakes in the fridge that I can just grab
00:25:51.920 while I walk out the door or when I need a quick lunch I'll just grab one of their delicious fresh
00:25:57.200 salads factor just makes eating healthy so much easier and so much more enjoyable and if you're

00:26:32.000 Okay, so let's get back into it.
00:26:34.060 So I don't know if I mentioned this article before.
00:26:37.280 It's written by one of my favorites, Eumonia Dyke over at Medium.
00:26:42.380 She always does amazing reporting, really, really thoroughly researched
00:26:48.600 with all the links to all the sources that she's mentioning I will link this article below here as
00:26:55.220 well so you can read the whole thing it is really fascinating but anyway so she looked into this
00:27:02.700 feud a little while ago and her headline here says before nice pool there was a dude did Ryan
00:27:10.480 Reynolds create a caricature of Dwayne Johnson too so she's saying here that Reynolds and Johnson
00:27:18.060 allegedly had a serious falling out on red notice and she's mentioning the article in The Wrap and
00:27:24.260 also how Baldoni said in his deposition that Reynolds had terrorized Johnson. And then she's
00:27:31.940 bringing up some of the things that The Rock said in interviews. As we learned from what Stephanie
00:27:37.980 Jones once told Justin Baldoni, they didn't do any press together. I did see some press junkies
00:27:45.180 when they were in the same room but they always had Gal Gadot in between them as like a buffer I'm 1.00
00:27:52.160 guessing because they obviously couldn't stand each other and in an interview here she's linking
00:27:58.640 Johnson was asked about Reynolds and what he had learned about his co-star and he said
00:28:05.880 I can tell you that after knowing Reynolds for 20 for over 20 years I did not know that when we
00:28:12.420 actually did an entire movie together we would bicker and argue. He was trying to joke about it
00:28:18.580 a little bit saying like we're like an old couple but then he could not help himself but to reveal
00:28:24.580 a little bit about his feelings about Ryan. So when he was asked in this interview what his nickname
00:28:30.980 was for his co-stars, he said this.
00:28:46.520 Yes, Ryan was asshole.
00:28:50.040 And then he called him an asshole again in an interview he did with Vanity Fair.
00:28:56.180 And then he said in another interview that's also linked here
00:28:59.760 that when he's asked about his co-stars most annoying habits he said that Gal Gadot her most
00:29:06.920 annoying habit is that she's perfect and Ryan's most annoying habit is that anytime he breathes
00:29:13.840 then he also said Gal Gal Gadot has great mana and great energy to her but also most importantly
00:29:23.460 she's really kind and kind-hearted. Ryan, on the other hand, asshole. The opposite of kind is Ryan
00:29:34.340 Reynolds, he says. Ryan's most annoying habit anytime he breathed. Who would win in a fight
00:29:41.900 between you three? Ryan will run fast. DJ will be a gentleman and he'll stay. Then Eumonia Dyke says
00:29:49.220 hear that to underscore the genuine condemnation underlying his word choice johnson would make a
00:29:55.500 comment a few years later about his new no asshole policy in approaching new projects he said i feel
00:30:02.740 like also you know reputations especially in hollywood they precede us we have a policy for
00:30:09.100 seven bucks production and just for me too as well like we've reached this point in our career
00:30:13.980 we're like we don't want to work with assholes anymore then she goes on in this article to talk
00:30:19.680 about all the rewrites in red notice and how of course ryan kept forcing in his own jokes in the 0.74
00:30:28.480 scripts who's the biggest joker out of you three seagal actually joked around the most i joke
00:30:34.480 around like when we're rolling a lot of these jokes were on the rocks or dwayne johnson's
00:30:39.640 expenses as here. I remember this joke specifically. This was during press when Ryan Reynolds joked
00:30:46.920 about The Rock's bald head and it became really uncomfortable to watch and you could tell from
00:30:55.200 this clip that Dwayne Johnson did not like this. He did not appreciate this joke. What grown man
00:31:02.400 with a bald head would appreciate a joke like this? Well perhaps you could tell us. What did
00:31:06.520 What did you say the back of his head looks like?
00:31:07.920 What did you say about the back of my head?
00:31:09.360 Well, you know, I try to never say anything cruel to Dwayne
00:31:13.320 that I know I can't get away with.
00:31:17.040 But I did say the back of his head did look
00:31:19.000 not too dissimilar to a penis.
00:31:20.640 I'm just going to say his head looks like a gorgeous penis.
00:31:23.560 Dwayne, could we see the back of your head
00:31:25.000 so we can make up our own mind about your penis?
00:31:31.880 So yeah, the two of them obviously had a big falling out.
00:31:36.200 And as you know, Ryan is vindictive.
00:31:40.500 So what did he do next?
00:31:42.000 His next movie up was Free Guy.
00:31:43.980 He was shooting Free Guy, I think, while he was actually doing the press for this movie.
00:31:47.900 So he creates a character called Dude.
00:31:51.460 So Dude is the gigantic, muscular, intellectually limited version of Reynolds' character who
00:31:58.720 suddenly appears near the end of Free Guy.
00:32:01.700 So he creates a character based on his own character that's stupid.
00:32:08.540 And she says here, the character speaks in incomplete, stereotypical martial phrases
00:32:12.980 and has exaggerated bodybuilder physique.
00:32:16.680 And she also mentions how Reynolds made additional dude content outside of the movie.
00:32:23.900 Reynolds didn't simply perform the character for the necessary scene.
00:32:27.440 he made a separate promotional video built around the dude's enormous muscle protein consumption
00:32:34.480 growth hormone and stupidity that joke meant something personal to ryan reynolds so yeah
00:32:42.860 the length that he went to to mock justin baldone in the deadpool movie with nice pool
00:32:49.460 creating a character putting that into the script can you imagine what it actually cost
00:32:55.700 to add this character just to mock Justin Baldoni and to me it seemed like he did exactly the same
00:33:04.820 thing to The Rock. He even admitted that he made noise pool based on Baldoni. Remember he came out
00:33:13.560 in the press and he actually said that Baldoni is just thin-skinned. He didn't get the joke.
00:33:20.200 I mean, how is it not funny that you're being mocked and ridiculed in the biggest or highest
00:33:27.660 grossing R-rated movie of the time?
00:33:31.920 Why can't you find that funny?
00:33:35.160 Let me know what you think about this.
00:33:37.940 Is this another example of Ryan Reynolds' pattern here?
00:33:43.440 Maybe he's actually met his equal in Stephanie Jones because I feel like she is just as vindictive
00:33:50.000 as Ryan Reynolds what a dream team the two of them are anyways I wanted to end this with a part of
00:33:56.980 my interview from Dwayne Johnson when I asked him the best advice that he'd ever gotten before I
00:34:03.500 actually gave him a little gift from someone from a friend of mine who made these beautiful bracelets
00:34:08.960 and he was so grateful for that gift I've never seen a celebrity being so gracious and so grateful
00:34:17.180 for something and the people in the room were like hey we have to move on she needs to leave
00:34:22.180 the room there's another reporter coming in and he was like hey I got a gift here let her finish
00:34:27.360 helping me put it on and then I actually noticed that he was wearing that bracelet later on in the
00:34:33.140 day when he was interviewed by Anderson Cooper he was on stage and he was wearing it and then the
00:34:38.440 next time I met him he was like oh yes I remember you gave me that bracelet so yeah I have a soft
00:34:45.300 spot for the rock okay i admit it yes yes so did you have like a motto in life that you've lived
00:34:51.780 by something that you someone taught you earlier that you always like kind of stuck with you yeah
00:34:56.580 one of the things that always stuck with me that i keep coming back to is um i heard when i was 15
00:35:04.480 years old it's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice and yeah it really stuck with
00:35:09.780 me because at 15 we were I was evicted at 14 out of our apartment so and at 15 we were really
00:35:16.920 struggling as a family and I remember in my mind um success meant um meant fame so if I if I worked
00:35:27.060 hard because everyone who I admired they were either um like Harrison Ford right guys like that
00:35:32.740 or pro athletes they were still famous so in my mind I thought oh if I made if I made it I would
00:35:38.580 be famous. And then when I heard that quote, it's nice to be important, but it's more important
00:35:42.960 to be nice. I just always remember that. And now even more so it's important. Just, you know, being
00:35:47.660 nice is, is the, literally the easiest part of my job. Just being nice. That's great. Yeah. I have a little
00:35:54.920 gift for you. It's since you're the ultimate alpha male. Oh, that's so cool. Thank you so much. You can, you can
00:36:01.440 take it apart and you can make it into like a little weapon. Actually, yeah, you can, you can tow a car
00:36:06.620 by it because it's made out of this parachute thing. Thank you so much. Look at that. Does it fit?
00:36:12.380 It does. Can you put it on for me? Yes, of course. That's so cool. Thank you so much.
00:36:22.220 Hold on a second. We got a gift.
00:36:23.820 anyways that's it for me today you guys thank you so much for watching and thanks to my executive
00:36:36.900 producer who completely just disappeared from the frame i think that's his tail over there let's see
00:36:42.200 that was actually his ear anyway sorry i asked her i'm i waking up from this nap every day
00:36:47.020 i'm doing this right oh you slept so well i'm so sorry anyways he also wanted to say that
00:36:53.800 he wants people to subscribe to my channel and hit the notification bell as well so you never
00:36:58.280 miss an episode of Flawesome Talk and we'll both see you very soon! Bye!
