Summary

In this episode, I give you guys a quick run down of what I do to prep for a weak point day. I talk about how I prep for weak points in my day and how I deal with them. 00:02:18.000 We're gonna be hitting a weak point day.
00:02:20.000 For me, a weak point day is pretty much shoulders and arms, right?
00:02:23.000 Because those are my two lagging body parts that I've always had, right?
00:02:26.000 And this typically happens when you're a taller guy and thin.
00:02:28.000 So, it's always been something that I always kind of specialize in whenever I do a weak point day.
00:02:33.000 So, the way my workout plan works, guys, is I'm in the gym somewhere between Two to five times a week, right?
00:02:39.000 Two to five times a week, it changes.
00:02:41.000 But I would say it's average, probably around three to four, right?
00:02:45.000 I go in, I do a full body workout, then I go in and do shoulders and arms.
00:02:49.000 Then I go back in and do a full body workout, then shoulders and arms.
00:02:51.000 And the full body workout typically is like legs, push, pull.
00:02:54.000 Right?
00:02:55.000 And then, I don't really do isolation movements like that, but on this weak point of day, like today, I'll do shoulders and arms.
00:03:02.000 So we're gonna be focusing on hitting the shoulders and then hitting the arms as well.
00:03:06.000 We're gonna do, I'd like to do supersets, drop sets, that type of thing.
00:03:10.000 I keep my rest periods relatively short, so you guys are gonna see I'm only gonna be taking like, No more than two minutes.
00:03:15.000 I really, like, absolute most I take between sets is like three, you know?
00:03:19.000 But in general, I typically like to keep my rest periods like 90 to 120 seconds.
00:03:24.000 If I really want to go hard, maybe three minutes, whatever.
00:03:27.000 And then what else?

00:05:54.000 What I like to do is I like to do simple movements, lots of steps, right?

00:06:00.000 Typically, sometimes what I'll do is I'll go either pyramid up, start really light, high reps, and work my way up in weight while simultaneously bringing it down reps.
00:06:10.000 Or, what I'll do is I'll just pick one weight, stick to somewhere between 7 to 15 reps.
00:06:16.000 Sometimes I'll do that too or stick with one weight.
00:06:18.000 In this situation, you know, do a couple of one more steps, I like to get a good one.

00:06:29.000 It's not light, light.
00:06:30.000 So, I'm going to move it after this.
00:06:31.000 So, keep your elbows in place.

00:12:57.000 And you do five sets one day, then do another five sets later on, versus like trying to do 20 sets in one day, well, your output isn't going to be the same, because if you spread it out, you're going to be more energized, you're going to be able to get more volume, more quality volume doing it that way, spreading it out, and more frequency.
00:13:13.000 So, and they've done studies on this, like Eric Holmes and them, like they found training a body part two to three times per week is superior to training it only one time per week.
