00:00:00.000 The erosion of free speech is officially ramping up here in Canada.
00:00:03.980 Carney announced today that the Combating Hate Act has officially come into force.
00:00:08.740 Because in Canada, everyone should be able to be who they are and worship who they choose openly, freely, and safely.
00:00:15.020 I've researched this bill extensively, and I can guarantee you it's going to cause more hatred in Canada. 0.68
00:00:21.100 He says it's going to help religious groups.
00:00:23.160 An unprecedented amount of Muslim and Christian groups opposed this bill.
00:00:28.440 Some of the largest religious groups in the country were like, we don't want this.
00:00:33.160 In fact, the Jewish lobby was the only religious group that was really pushing for this bill, along with some Hindus as well.
00:00:39.600 To illustrate how absurd this bill is, displaying this symbol in the wrong way, in the wrong context,
00:00:46.060 and not a journalistic context like this is, you could go to jail for up to two years.
00:00:51.120 However, wait a minute, this is actually the Hindu version of the swastika, which is actually allowed.
00:00:58.940 You see, the Hindus celebrated because their version of the swastika is not a hate symbol,
00:01:05.140 so it won't be included as breaking the law if you display their version of the swastika. 0.82
00:01:10.640 Here's the problem. In the legislation itself, it says a symbol that so nearly resembles a symbol
00:01:15.520 described in the paragraphs above that is likely to be a symbol described in the paragraphs of
00:01:19.740 And above, it describes the Nazi Hockenkruz, which is the Nazi Swastika.
00:01:24.760 So does that look like the Nazi Swastika?
00:01:27.060 Does that look like the Nazi Swastika to you? 0.52
00:01:29.720 It looks the same to me.
00:01:31.080 So technically, this should be illegal. 0.99
00:01:32.960 But technically, because the Hindus got their kind of what they wanted out of the bill, it's also not illegal. 0.94
00:01:38.720 C9 is a mess of different favors being done for different identifiable religious and ethnic groups. 0.53
00:01:45.280 and when you pick favorites obviously it's going to cause more resentment and then hatred so this
00:01:51.140 is not a w for canada or carney in fact it's the first major stain on his legacy aside from his
00:01:57.560 power hungry liberal regime and politically partisan control freaks nobody asks for what's
00:02:05.200 in bill c9 especially not average canadians my bet and what i've been warning about for months
00:02:10.420 is that this bill will be used probably against peaceful protesters activists anybody who's
00:02:16.160 becoming inconvenient to somebody in power oh yeah displaying a noose is also now a criminal act
00:02:23.260 up to two years in jail why because apparently this uniquely offends black people part of me
00:02:29.720 thinks that people in power might not like this symbol for uh for for other reasons though
00:02:34.280 Thank you.
