Greg Wycliffe - Diversity is NOT our Strength

00:00:00.000 Diversity is not our strength. To be strong, we need to work together. It's harder to do that

00:00:07.380 with more and more language barriers. Diversity is not our strength. We can agree to disagree 0.91

00:00:14.880 from different religions and different creeds, but unfortunately, some cultures haven't seen

00:00:20.160 eye to eye for centuries. Diversity is not our strength. Some people just don't get along. Would

00:00:26.920 mixing high-income families with low-income ones make the community more strong? Diversity is not 1.00

00:00:33.120 our strength. Don't get me wrong. Something diverse can still be strong, but the idea that our only

00:00:38.260 strength only comes from the fact that we're all different is simply wrong. Of course, we can work

00:00:44.740 together with one another, but it's foolish to assume and imply that will happen just because

00:00:50.740 we're a bunch of different colors. Whatever happened to the individual being distinguished,

00:00:56.340 being valued for their individual strengths and not their pigment, then we can team up to combine

00:01:03.720 our individual strengths to make up for our collective weaknesses. But that power, that energy,

00:01:08.620 that strength didn't come from a group being diverse. It came from the fundamentals of us

00:01:14.420 teaming up first. Teamwork is our strength. Funny how that works. If I'm put on a hockey team with my

00:01:21.120 friends, I know their moves, quirks, and trends. We play better, pass faster, score more in the end.

00:01:25.780 Friendship is our strength. If I'm put on a hockey team where I know no one, different egos, races,

00:01:31.420 and opinions, but we have a coach that focuses our efforts to help us become champions. Leadership is our

00:01:38.020 strength. We went to practice together, learned the plays together, talked after the game together.

00:01:43.360 Cooperation is our strength. We all have the same jersey. We all have the same goal. It did not matter if we

00:01:49.240 were diverse. We were acting as a whole. Unity is our strength. Talk to the Raptors in 2019. You already

00:01:56.260 know. Think about it. If we're faced with adversity, does it make sense for someone to say, we need more

00:02:02.920 diversity? Or do we need more communication, more organization to operate as a team more efficiently?

00:02:10.100 Regardless of the group, Protestant, Catholic, Sikh, Sunni, or Jew, we need to truly work to overcome 0.92

00:02:17.440 differences. Not just say a few words that sound cute. Diversity is not our strength. What good is 0.96

00:02:25.440 diversity without a common purpose? What good is diversity if we're not building up trust and

00:02:30.520 building up relations? If you value diversity over unity, you're promoting chaos over cooperation.

00:02:38.180 Diversity is not our strength. Not at all. However, if you were part of the ruling class, promoting

00:02:45.620 diversity as a strength might be a good strategy to keep a large group of people confused, fighting 1.00

00:02:49.960 with one another and under your control. You could even try to rip a nation apart at the seams. I don't

00:02:55.540 know. Diversity is not our strength. Diversity can be beautiful, inspiring, confusing. It's a characteristic

00:03:04.140 of something. Calling it an inherent strength is a dishonest word to be choosing. That's all I have

00:03:11.840 that's nice to say about this shallow misguided phrase. So unless you want me to potentially ruin

00:03:17.480 your day, I suggest you click away. You see, diversity is our strength, is a phrase invented and embraced

00:03:26.860 by entitled woke people to help themselves feel more inclusive and cultured to cover up the fact

00:03:33.800 that they are not strong in their own sense of identity and that they might feel like selfish

00:03:39.120 vultures. Diversity is not our strength, Becky. You just like Thai food and Chinese and showing it off 1.00

00:03:47.260 on your Instagram feed. Diversity is not our strength, Alex. You just like to brag that you have a Muslim 1.00

00:03:54.260 friend. Maybe you can get a Korean one too and commodify them. Diversity is not our strength, 1.00

00:04:01.720 folks. You just might be ashamed of your own culture and heritage. You might be afraid that

00:04:06.320 your history isn't interesting, worth mentioning, or that you should feel guilty to inherit it.

00:04:12.260 Diversity is not our strength. You may have just been brainwashed to think white people are inherently 0.51

00:04:19.960 a bad thing. We're not, by the way. The so-called white majority of people make up 11 percent of the

00:04:28.920 world's population today. Diversity is not our strength. We just live in a time and place where 1.00

00:04:36.260 if you're white and you say you're proud of who you are, it doesn't make you happy.

00:04:42.080 It makes you evil. All of a sudden, you're expected to apologize and address all the bad things done

00:04:50.220 by hundreds of thousands of old dead people. Diversity is not our strength. And when you say 0.92

00:04:58.920 the original phrase, those four cute words that have been pounded into our brains, I think you mean

00:05:04.820 something else. I think you mean white people suck. Dear white Canadians and those with a European 1.00

00:05:12.220 heritage, resent your history. Resent it. You have nothing to be proud of. Diversity is not our 1.00

00:05:22.280 strength. And I'm calling out these entitled woke people on their stuff. These are the same loving

00:05:29.560 people who will insist despite everything I've said, I'm just some dumb racist scum. Can you blame me 1.00

00:05:38.580 for resisting this bullshit? These are the same people that would prefer and likely wish that I 1.00

00:05:46.180 didn't even exist.

00:05:59.560 Thank you.

00:06:08.700 Congratulations.

00:06:11.580 These are the same people that I隍 with my sleep.
