00:00:00.480 Hey everybody, it's Greg Wycliffe here with the Save Free Speech update.
00:00:04.860 I want to do these every Monday to let you know how it's going with this project, Save Free Speech.
00:00:11.800 For those who don't know, my name is Greg Wycliffe.
00:00:14.040 I've decided to focus all of my creative talents and content creation efforts into stopping Bill C-63 from passing in Canada,
00:00:23.300 or in other words, saving free speech in Canada,
00:00:26.080 because if this bill passes, it would more or less be the end of free speech in Canada.
00:00:31.620 It's really bad.
00:00:33.020 So, what's going on?
00:00:34.480 Today we posted a banger video that is a clip from the documentary that we're working on.
00:00:42.000 I posted that on this main channel here.
00:00:44.400 Free speech or jail time, the UK's internet censorship laws are coming to Canada.
00:00:48.740 Yeah, there's a lot of stuff happening in the UK right now,
00:00:52.440 which is a foreshadow of what could easily happen here.
00:00:57.800 And there was a recent bill that passed there in the UK that has to do with online censorship,
00:01:02.840 and it's very, very precisely the same of what they want to pass or what they want to do with Bill C-63.
00:01:10.020 So, definitely check that out.
00:01:11.540 That's a good one.
00:01:13.280 We have important arguments that we need to make about this bill.
00:01:18.180 There's so much crap in it.
00:01:19.480 I'm going to be streaming later this week to hopefully have you tune in and brainstorm
00:01:25.140 how to best, like most effectively, argue against this bill.
00:01:31.560 Because, of course, they have the Trojan horse of it protects children online.
00:01:35.280 So, that sort of needs to be addressed.
00:01:39.100 Also, it's going into the bill itself and breaking down specifically what's wrong with it in the black and white.
00:01:46.260 There's a lot wrong with it, but really kind of highlighting the worst parts.
00:01:50.160 By the way, if you have a lawyer friend or know a lawyer who might want to help me look through some of this stuff,
00:01:57.820 then by all means they can DM me on Twitter or leave a comment in this video.
00:02:05.500 So, it would be good to get more professionals, lawyers, I guess, making sure that I'm dotting my I's and crossing my T's when it comes to everything that I'm talking about.
00:02:18.200 But, yeah.
00:02:19.440 The other thing that I've noticed, too, that we all need to address is people are really demoralized in Canada.
00:02:26.000 And they're almost like, they have like these two responses to it.
00:02:31.860 They say, oh, that bill, there's no way it's going to pass.
00:02:34.880 It's too absurd.
00:02:36.340 Or, the demoralized people will go the complete opposite direction and say, oh, it's going to pass.
00:02:42.060 There's nothing we can do about it.
00:02:44.320 And it's like, uh, what?
00:02:47.140 It could easily pass, I agree.
00:02:49.380 But we can do something about it.
00:02:51.360 You know, it's crazy how demoralized people are when I bring this up because it's almost like they don't think anything can be done.
00:03:00.200 And I really think that, you know, I've started SaveFreeSpeech.ca and all this.
00:03:05.600 And I really think this could be a wedge issue or sort of, it should be really easy to put pressure on, like, liberal supporters and liberal parties as well.
00:03:18.460 You know, like, sure, they have this veneer of it's going to stop hate, but that's, it's paper thin.
00:03:24.560 Like, let's just tear through that with paper mache.
00:03:27.380 And that's part of the goal with SaveFreeSpeech.ca is to kind of create the right messaging and the right arguments to show people that, you know, this is totally absurd.
00:03:37.240 Like, this would be the end of free speech.
00:03:39.660 Do you hate something?
00:03:40.940 Is there something that you hate in your life?
00:03:42.960 Yeah, everyone has that.
00:03:44.280 Um, so this bill wants to make it illegal to call anything detestable or villainous.
00:03:52.160 Anyway, there's a lot of stuff that we're going to be working on.
00:03:55.060 And there's a documentary.
00:03:56.060 Oh, my God.
00:03:56.840 I think I mentioned it.
00:03:57.860 Did I mention the documentary?
00:03:59.040 There's a documentary we're working on.
00:04:00.300 Very exciting.
00:04:01.240 We posted a clip today.
00:04:03.460 Uh, check that out.
00:04:05.640 And, uh, yeah, that's very exciting.
00:04:07.900 If you want to support, by the way, the Give, Send, Go is going very well.
00:04:11.280 Our goal is, uh, to raise 50, 50K, but we're already at, uh, 2.4, which is amazing.
00:04:18.060 Big, big shout-out.
00:04:19.020 Oh, by the way, if you want to check that out, you go to GiveSendGo.com slash SaveFreeSpeech.
00:04:24.820 Um, big, big shout-out to everyone who has donated.
00:04:28.980 Incredible.
00:04:29.920 That's awesome.
00:04:31.020 Um, it's going towards editors.
00:04:33.920 It's going towards professionals.
00:04:35.380 It's going towards marketing.
00:04:36.600 Uh, I do want to update the Give, Send, Go in terms of showing people the actual budget
00:04:43.520 of, like, where this money is going to go.
00:04:46.440 Um, still working on all that in terms of, like, again, dotting the I's, crossing the T's.
00:04:52.020 But, yeah, what else?
00:04:53.200 What else?
00:04:53.760 Uh, the clip today, if you haven't seen it, mentions Critical Race Theory, um, which is
00:04:58.400 very interesting.
00:04:59.000 I might try to record a kind of comedy song that I've written about Critical Race Theory.
00:05:06.600 I've had it around for a while.
00:05:08.020 I've performed it live before, so I'm going to try to do that.
00:05:10.260 I might try, like, recording it on stream or something.
00:05:12.660 We'll see.
00:05:13.880 Um, I'm going to try to stream at least, live stream at least once this week.
00:05:19.120 Uh, also during that live stream, I want to kind of brainstorm ways to kind of rip through
00:05:24.360 the paper mache and brainstorm with people, uh, ideas to kind of quickly and effectively
00:05:29.940 just expose how absurd this bill is.
00:05:32.880 Um, because it could be a matter of just kind of getting pop culture references and things
00:05:37.480 that are happening in the news or even, like, clips from movies, clips from TV shows, memes,
00:05:42.860 and being like, how, how do you even enforce this?
00:05:46.720 Because there's so many examples of it just, like, it would be, it's, it's so subjective,
00:05:52.060 right?
00:05:52.300 That's the thing about freedom and, uh, what you hate or what you love is, is a subjective
00:05:57.640 thing.
00:05:58.640 And, uh, the government wants to say, no, there's only certain things that you should
00:06:02.080 hate and we're going to stop hate and we're going to stop, we're going to stop all the
00:06:04.920 online harm.
00:06:06.600 Yeah.
00:06:07.040 But things are going great.
00:06:08.180 We just reached 500 followers on Twitter.
00:06:11.180 We got an Instagram as well.
00:06:12.920 That's getting up there.
00:06:13.900 And we also have a Facebook.
00:06:15.940 It's, um, on Facebook and Twitter.
00:06:18.920 It's SFS Canada.
00:06:21.160 Facebook.com or x.com slash SFS Canada.
00:06:24.540 So it's modest right now, but I'm quite pleased because, you know, there's a lot of much more
00:06:29.360 valuable content that, uh, we're going to put out there and, uh, and I'm really hoping
00:06:34.760 that's going to catch on.
00:06:36.520 We got business cards as well.
00:06:38.380 It's backwards because the camera's flipped, but those are cool.
00:06:42.420 I handed this out at the, uh, the PPC conference last weekend, which is really cool and interviewed
00:06:48.000 some people who you may have heard of.
00:06:52.860 PPC conference was a good time.
00:06:54.540 A lot of good friends, old friends, new friends.
00:06:56.980 So, uh, have some good content interviews from there, but yeah, that's pretty well it.
00:07:01.220 Make sure you support the fundraiser for the documentary.
00:07:04.560 We want that to be big.
00:07:05.980 Uh, look out for me this week.
00:07:07.680 I'll be doing live streams.
00:07:09.180 I also want to try to interview, uh, the woman who was calling out, um, people pooping on the
00:07:16.020 beaches in, uh, Grand Bend, Wasaga Beach, because I heard the police showed up at her house and
00:07:22.160 I would love to interview her.
00:07:23.300 So, yeah, send this to her.
00:07:26.700 Let her know I want to interview her.
00:07:28.300 And again, if you know any lawyers who are good on camera and want to help talk about the
00:07:34.200 details of the bill, uh, on my YouTube channel, then, then get them in touch with me as well
00:07:39.320 as I'd love to chat with them.
00:07:40.560 But yeah, the mission to save free speech is going well so far.
00:07:44.960 No one's sued me yet.
00:07:47.620 Knock on wood.
00:07:49.280 But, uh, yeah, until next time.
00:07:51.140 Thanks for watching.
00:07:52.780 We'll talk to you soon.
00:07:54.160 And we're going to save free speech in Canada.
00:07:56.320 We can do it.
