00:00:00.000 All right, we've got a packed show for you today. Was Bill Gates behind the Inflation
00:00:07.000 Reduction Act? We're going to break down his secret communications with Senator Joe
00:00:12.280 Manchin. But first, I want to remind you guys about Charlie Kirk's new book, The College
00:00:17.480 Scam, collegescam.com, how America's universities are bankrupting and brainwashing away the
00:00:22.180 future of America's youth. All proceeds from book sales go to TPUSA, so go to collegescam.com

00:00:30.000 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard tonight's edition of Hewn Events Daily powered by Turning
00:00:33.980 Point USA. Today is August 17, 2022. Anno Domini. Today's headlines, President Biden's Inflation
00:00:40.200 Reduction Act, secretly brought to you by Bill Gates. We'll explain that next. A right-leaning
00:00:46.700 nonprofit plans to spend millions bashing the woke left in midterms. Third, Alec Baldwin
00:00:53.020 doubles down, insists that he didn't pull the trigger in the fatal rust shooting, but that's
00:00:58.060 not actually what the FBI says. And finally, Philadelphia residents have filed a lawsuit
00:01:02.700 against the city for illegally using taxpayer dollars to fund abortions. All this ahead,
00:01:07.840 Human Events Daily.
00:01:08.400 I will say that it's one of the happier moments of my climate work. I have two things that excite me
00:01:25.060 about my climate work. One is when policy gets done well, and this is by far the biggest moment like
00:01:32.600 that. The other is where I sit and talk to these innovative companies, and I hear about this amazing
00:01:39.560 new way to make steel and cement and chemicals. It's incredible. The innovation, the green spending
00:01:51.540 had dropped to near zero in 2016, and now that's been reinvigorated. And the innovation is going way
00:02:00.420 faster than I expected. That's why I'm optimistic that we will solve this thing.
00:02:07.760 Well, so we just saw the Inflation Reduction Act, which is actually a massive spending bill
00:02:12.720 passed by the Biden regime, passed by the House, passed by the Senate, signed into law. But what you
00:02:17.680 may not know is that even though all those institutions signed off on it, you think those
00:02:22.460 are actually the guys that are creating these things, are going through line by line, writing
00:02:26.960 these bills? You think if you actually went up to President Biden right now, he would be able to
00:02:32.600 tell you what's in this bill? Come on, be serious. He doesn't know. I'll tell you who's actually putting
00:02:38.220 this together. And ZeroHedge.com has the article. It was Larry Summers and no less than Bill Gates
00:02:45.840 himself, who had been known to hang together to put this all in. Well, in a Bloomberg article that
00:02:53.180 reads more like a newsletter for the Gates fan club, the billionaire Microsoft co-founder recalls
00:02:58.220 how earlier this year, as moderate Democrats like Joe Manchin and Senator Kyrsten Sinema continued to
00:03:03.800 block the tax and spend legislation over concerns it would raise taxes for the middle class. Listen to
00:03:08.600 this. Listen to this. Bloomberg is reporting that Gates tapped in, just tapped on in, tap in there
00:03:16.080 to my relationship, his relationship with Joe Manchin that he'd been cultivating since at least
00:03:20.760 2019. This is how Bloomberg writes it up. Gates was banking on more than just his trademark optimism
00:03:28.760 when addressing climate change and seemingly intractable problems that have been his focus in
00:03:33.740 stepping down as Microsoft CEO two decades ago. As he revealed to Bloomberg Green, he has quietly
00:03:40.340 lobbied Manchin and other senators starting before President Joe Biden had won the White House in
00:03:45.260 anticipation of, quote, a rare moment in which federal heavy spending could be secured for the green
00:03:52.680 energy transition. I love how they write that, by the way, the green energy transition. It's just
00:03:57.160 happening. It's just no one's actually voted from this. No one's actually said this is what we want
00:04:02.460 or campaign. No, no, no. It's all these shady backroom deals or phone calls from mega billionaire
00:04:07.640 oligarchs like Bill Gates. He is an oligarch, by the way. You can clearly point out Bill Gates is an
00:04:13.000 oligarch in the American process. It's simple. Let's go back to the Bloomberg. Those discussions
00:04:18.360 give him reason to believe the senator from West Virginia would come through for the climate,
00:04:22.660 and he was willing to continue to pressing the case himself until the very end. The last month,
00:04:27.060 people felt like, OK, we're trying. We tried. We're done. Gates said, I believe it was a unique
00:04:32.780 opportunity. So we tapped into a relationship with Manchin that he'd been cultivating for these
00:04:36.720 years that they're talking about. And we weren't able to gag me with a spoon right there. My dialogue
00:04:41.720 with Joe has been going on for quite a while. That's what he stated. And it goes through. You can
00:04:46.940 read the rest of the article. Bloomberg dot com and Zero Hedge is a write up of it as well.
00:04:50.960 They were going back and forth. Bill Gates act as the lobbyist on this bill that I don't think
00:04:56.500 anybody understood what's in there. When you got a guy like that inside, there's no trust with the
00:05:01.560 American people. This is why voters are so sick of this process. This is why they're sitting there
00:05:08.980 saying, we don't want this anymore. The American people know that this is what happens, that they
00:05:14.420 elect their senators and then their senators stop listening to them. They go back and start listening
00:05:19.300 to these mega billionaires, these mega donors, these oligarchs on what they decide should be in the
00:05:25.300 bill, whether or not they should port it. Remember, Senator Manchin used to be out there saying,
00:05:30.460 oh, it's going to raise taxes. We can't do it. Oh, it's going to raise taxes. We can't do it. It's
00:05:33.520 going to raise taxes. But suddenly he gets calls from Bill Gates. He gets lobbied by Gates. They add
00:05:39.340 some stuff in the bill. They slip some stuff in there, call it the Gates special. And then suddenly
00:05:44.620 Manchin is a huge proponent. He's he saw he saw on the road to Damascus. He's now an evangelist.
00:05:51.400 Oh, I need my tax and spend bill. I need my inflation reduction act. But wait, which is
00:05:56.600 it? Because Gates said in 2019 that it's heavy spending by the federal government. So if he said
00:06:02.440 that in 2019, it's federal spending by the federal government, then what is it in 2022? No, no,
00:06:09.080 no. It's inflation reduction. You see it. You see, it pays for itself. I love when politicians say that
00:06:14.460 it pays for it doesn't pay for itself. You pay for it. I pay for it. Our children pay for it. Your
00:06:20.480 children pay for it. That's how inflation works. That's how all of this works. And so just understand
00:06:25.200 these people aren't your heroes. You shouldn't be trusting them. And yes, Bill Gates apparently
00:06:30.480 was the genius brain behind all of this.
00:06:36.320 Liberals can play word games with the word recession, but they can't hide the pain that
00:06:40.940 Americans are feeling as a result of their destructive policies. Between inflation, a looming
00:06:45.720 recession, and instability all over the globe, you need to prepare before it's too late. And that is
00:06:51.320 why I recommend you diversify with gold and silver now. And the only company I recommend is Allegiance

00:07:34.680 By now, you've probably seen the far-right's attempts to use claims of protecting women's sports
00:07:39.320 to keep transgender girls from participating in high school and college sports. These attacks
00:07:45.080 reduce current scientific research on trans athletes into misleading talking points and
00:07:49.420 fear-mongering. But the attacks aren't just scientifically inaccurate. They're the latest
00:07:53.800 attempt by the far-right to eradicate the right of transgender people to exist in public spaces.
00:07:59.860 In our new report, Right Wing Watch puts these attacks in historical context and outlines how the
00:08:05.100 far-right is using disinformation to target trans people. Read it now at RightWingWatch.org.
00:08:12.120 Oh no! They're so worried. They're so worried that we're talking about what you're doing to girls' sports.
00:08:18.300 But I want to also ask you about, have you seen these billboards that are going up around the country?
00:08:25.040 These crazy, but they seem like they're completely nuts. They seem like they're insane.
00:08:30.140 And so there's this group out there called the Citizens for Sanity. And they put up these
00:08:35.980 billboards outside major cities that say things like, protect pregnant men from climate discrimination.
00:08:42.420 Open the jails. Open the borders. Close the schools. Vote progressive this November.
00:08:47.200 Another billboard says, violent criminals deserve our compassion and respect. This fall,
00:08:52.320 stand for strong progressive values. Wait, what? What's going on with this? In fact,
00:08:57.920 the Philadelphia FOP actually came out against the one that was talking about violent criminals
00:09:03.140 deserve our compassion and respect, denouncing it. Somebody sent that to me. I said, guys,
00:09:07.180 this is obviously a troll thing. They're trolling somebody. This is a joke. They're trying to get
00:09:11.320 a rise out of you. What is it? Who's this group? Who's behind it? Well, Republican operative Ian Pryor
00:09:16.660 is someone who's behind all of this and as a strategic consultant to the group. He's also the
00:09:24.280 executive director of Fight for Schools. And they focus directly on this critical race theory
00:09:29.640 business. They're also going to be releasing new ads regarding trans, transgender women in girls
00:09:37.540 sports. And look, I got to tell you something. Growing up in Pennsylvania, the Penn relays,
00:09:42.620 that's a major, major part. The University of Pennsylvania, the relays there for high school,
00:09:47.520 they even have the juniors competitions there. That's huge for men and women. And if you suddenly
00:09:53.580 start messing around with that, for these hundreds of kids, thousands of people who get involved in
00:09:58.560 this every year, you're talking about those athletes. They're getting up six in the morning
00:10:04.460 to go work out. They're at the gym at six in the morning. They're at the track at seven on a Saturday,
00:10:11.380 on a Sunday. Hopefully they're going to church after. But just understand, the Penn relays a huge,
00:10:16.460 huge deal in a lot of these battleground states going into the midterm election. And this
00:10:20.600 organization, Citizens for Sanity, and they released a statement. So we have the statement here
00:10:26.600 to understand what they mean. Citizens for Sanity is not an ideological organization.
00:10:33.580 We stand for reason, common sense, objectivity, equality, the neutral rule of law, an open scientific
00:10:40.280 inquiry. Everything the radical left now stands implacably against. And we're using these messaging
00:10:46.240 campaigns to alert Americans to the urgent need to defeat and repudiate woke insanity before it
00:10:51.180 destroys America. And that's simple. That's exactly what it is. So I love these billboards,
00:10:57.040 by the way, right? So if there is any way for you to go up there and say that you think it's nuts,
00:11:03.860 they say, what's the best way to defeat a bad idea? Agree with it aggressively. Don't just let some
00:11:09.780 violent criminals out of prison. Let all violent criminals out of prison. Don't just let some
00:11:16.000 dudes participate in women's sports. Make men and women completely integrate into the same team,
00:11:23.000 especially for contact sports. I'm talking football. I'm talking soccer. I'm talking rugby,
00:11:28.760 lacrosse, you name it. I want men and women on that field going up against it. Boxing, wrestling,
00:11:35.740 come on, why not? Agree with it aggressively and you will be able to defeat them. And that's exactly
00:11:41.060 what they're doing here. So I did think it was funny because there are some folks, and I'm from
00:11:45.820 the Philadelphia area. So I had some guys in a chat room. We've got a group chat going of people
00:11:50.660 that just knew each other from coming up in the system from years and years ago. And they said it
00:11:57.960 to me, they see a billboard. My buddies are like, what is this? How dare they? How dare some people put
00:12:03.340 this up? These crazy libs, we're going to do something about this. They were actually calling
00:12:08.180 on trying to get the billboard canceled. And it got to the point where the FOP comes out and denounces
00:12:13.720 the whole thing. And I finally, you know, you catch up. Like I tell you, I'm in way too many of these
00:12:18.440 group chats. I'm sorry. Mom, dad, I try. I try very hard to keep up with the group chat, but there's
00:12:23.920 so many of them. And some of the ones like, I'm sorry, you're just on mute. And like, you don't see me
00:12:28.280 responding there. I'm on mute. But then again, I might be lurking. You never know. But I said to
00:12:33.800 these guys, I'm like, guys, this is obviously a joke. No, no, no. It's real. It's real. It's
00:12:37.840 clearly a joke. It's a troll. But I love it because it illustrates just how crazy the far
00:12:42.820 left has become. Keep it up, guys. If you understand the importance of the parallel economy,
00:12:49.700 you need to go and support Public Square. Go and download the Public Square app, Public SQ,
00:12:56.680 Apple App Store or Google Play, because it's as simple as this. Americans know that if we want to
00:13:02.140 change this nation, we have to change the way the marketplace works. Woke corporations, they're
00:13:06.480 seeking to divide us. Big banks are freezing the accounts of people who disagree with their
00:13:09.900 political views. And our supply chain is dependent on companies and countries that actively work
00:13:14.640 against our values. We need now the time for economic warfare. That change comes with you and
00:13:21.460 your wallet. That's why I am proud to partner with Public Square, the largest directory of freedom
00:13:25.820 loving businesses our nation has ever seen. Public Square is the first app that connects
00:13:29.860 freedom loving Americans with their local community and the businesses that share their
00:13:33.500 values. And if you want to support a restaurant that only bought from local farms, a coffee shop
00:13:37.300 that took a stand against COVID mandates, or a bank that would never cancel you for political views,
00:13:41.180 Public Square is your guide. Just download the Public Square app from Apple App Store or Google
00:13:45.080 Play, like we were saying, create a free account, begin your search. You can also list your
00:13:48.860 business so that your local community can find you. Download the app immediately. Go there
00:13:53.140 right now. Don't even have to turn off the podcast to do it. Public Square, that's Public Square,
00:13:58.060 Public SQ.
00:14:00.740 I have one question that if you don't feel that you can clear it up now, you should at some point
00:14:06.120 in the future. You say you never pulled the trigger, but the gun went off. That will not
00:14:12.180 make sense to people. If a bullet comes out of a gun, they say, well, then someone fired.
00:14:15.780 You're familiar with it. This did not come from me. This came from the DA's office themselves.
00:14:20.440 You're familiar with what fanning a gun is. You pull the hammer back, and you don't lock
00:14:25.580 the hammer. If you pull the hammer back pretty far, in old Western movies, you'd see someone
00:14:30.020 fan the hammer of the gun. The hammer didn't lock. You pulled it back to an extent where
00:14:36.060 it would fire the bullet without you pulling the trigger.
00:14:38.580 So that's Alec Baldwin on his new buddy, Chris Cuomo's podcast. Chris Cuomo's lost a podcast,
00:14:44.920 by the way. And producer Shah had an interesting comment about this, where the podcast is called
00:14:50.980 The Chris Cuomo Project. So the initials of that are CCP. In fact, his promo code is promo code CCP.
00:14:59.800 CCP. Don't use promo code CCP, you numbskull. Use promo code POSO at MyPillow.com for all your
00:15:05.920 sleepwear needs. By the way, the all-season slippers just dropped. The world didn't even know that the
00:15:12.380 all-season slippers were coming, but they are out. They're absolutely out. So shoot us a comment.
00:15:16.760 Shoot us an email. Liberty at TPUSA.com. We're going to get to the emails up in the next segment. But
00:15:21.040 guys, look at this thing. Completely insane. So here's the FBI's take on this. The FBI actually took
00:15:28.520 the Pieta 45 Long Colt revolver that Alec Baldwin was using when he shot and killed that staffer.
00:15:34.860 And they tested this thing. And the FBI reports out. ABC's got it. And they're saying, look,
00:15:41.220 we checked this gun and this gun can only fire if you pull the trigger. And that's a problem.
00:15:48.260 So Alec Baldwin, he goes over to the Chris Cuomo show, the CCP show, and says, well, no, no, no,
00:15:56.300 no, no, no, no, no, no. I love how he uses his persuasion, his acting. He's using all of his
00:16:03.040 emotional, emotive abilities to get you to come to his side. And you say, no, no, no, no, no, no,
00:16:08.820 no, no, no. That's not what happened at all. Totally misconstruing that. He does the sad eyes,
00:16:14.520 you know, all of this. And I was fanning just as they told me to do on the show. I was fanning.
00:16:20.640 And he said, and he even starts to get, and this is the part where he slipped a little bit. We know
00:16:23.900 that Alec Baldwin is prone to snapping. He says, you really have to focus on the person that loaded
00:16:30.140 the live bullet into the gun. Here's the problem with that, Alec Baldwin. Number one,
00:16:36.100 the forensic experts are saying this gun cannot fire unless the trigger is pulled. So even if you're
00:16:42.640 doing that fanning the gun, that's actually, and this is the part that he didn't even talk about on
00:16:47.320 the podcast because we went in and we listened to this podcast several times to see if they brought it
00:16:52.120 up. He said, well, no, I fanned it. And sometimes that can make the gun go off. That's true. And
00:16:58.520 the forensics, the ballistics actually went in, check this out. Here's the difference though.
00:17:04.400 On the Pieta Long Colt 45, yes, you can make the round go off by fanning it. That's true.
00:17:11.660 However, you can't make it go down the barrel without pulling the trigger. What happens is if you pull the
00:17:18.700 hammer back, but if you pull it back just enough that it doesn't notch, so it's got a two notches
00:17:23.660 because it's double action. If you do that, you will detonate essentially the charge in the chamber
00:17:32.680 and obviously cause a malfunction rather than firing a bullet forward. They said the only way to fire a
00:17:39.160 bullet forward is if you did pull down on that trigger. So they did. He did pull down on that trigger.
00:17:46.180 And if you drop the hammer on that and then pull the trigger, that's going to make it a lighter
00:17:50.440 trigger pull. That's how that works. That's called the action. Alec Baldwin did this. It's now starting
00:17:58.260 to look like he absolutely did this. And here's the thing. Was the person that loaded a live round in
00:18:04.940 that criminally negligent? Yes, obviously. But the final responsibility for the death that was caused.
00:18:15.100 That's got to be Alec Baldwin, the person who was handed an inherently dangerous instrument
00:18:20.580 and did not check to see if it was loaded. If you get behind a car, the wheel of a car,
00:18:27.700 and you go to floor the gas. By the way, I had brake problems this week. I guess the deep state
00:18:34.980 cut my brake lines. And so Monday, we're having some issues with that. But if you go to floor the gas
00:18:40.200 and then you say, oh, well, I thought there wasn't gas in the tank. That's not on the person who filled
00:18:44.900 it up. That's on you. If you hit somebody with your car, that's exactly what happened here with Alec
00:18:51.760 Baldwin. He's trying to blame it on the person that loaded the gas in the tank. Who was driving
00:18:57.760 the car? You were. Okay. So you take the fact that it was a gun out of it. You say it was a car. Cars
00:19:03.660 are used in films all the time. If you hit somebody with a car and killed them, that is on you. That's
00:19:08.640 exactly the same thing that happened here. It must be understood that on this subject,
00:19:18.180 we are not asking anyone to compromise their beliefs or abandon their faith.
00:19:30.080 We are simply saying the government should not be in the position, nor should the government
00:19:38.060 have the power to replace its beliefs for those of the woman.
00:19:46.360 So great story out of the Postmillennial. Go check this out. Shoot us your emails, by the way,
00:19:51.840 liberty at tpusa.com. The city of Philadelphia. Taxpayers of the city are now suing them for using
00:20:00.500 taxpayer money to directly fund abortions. And we've got the full motion up. We're going to have that
00:20:07.900 uploaded at Postmillennial. So make sure you guys go check this out. What it is special and
00:20:12.780 preliminary injunctions filed against the city of Pennsylvania and Mayor Kenny, Rebecca Reinhart,
00:20:18.680 and Jacqueline Dunn, all of whom are city officials. What for? Well, I will explain. They are suing
00:20:25.600 specifically for two Pennsylvania statutes, each prohibit a local government agency from spending
00:20:32.100 Commonwealth funds for abortions. As described in those acts on August 4th, 2022, the city announced
00:20:38.860 $500,000 in funding for the Abortion Liberation Fund to Pennsylvania, the ALFPA, which provides
00:20:47.600 financial assistance to people seeking abortions. The city's proposed expenditure of these funds
00:20:52.700 for abortions is a direct violation of Pennsylvania law. The suit seeks an injunction against the city of
00:20:59.940 Philadelphia from prohibiting it from transferring the funds to the AFL, Pennsylvania. And then we've got
00:21:05.980 the whole motion, you've got everything out there. Look, this is what the left is willing to do in
00:21:11.360 this country. And so thank God that there are people like, and it's Wally Zimulong who's leading
00:21:15.960 this thing, but it's also the people of Pennsylvania that are coming together to say, we can't have this
00:21:22.400 anymore. You have to actually commit yourself to action. And that action needs to be something serious,
00:21:28.000 it needs to be something substantive. And if it's a lawsuit to prevent something that, again,
00:21:31.980 that is a direct violation of state law, whether that has to do with ballots or in this case has
00:21:37.220 to do with babies, we're not going to allow this funding to be used for malfeasant purposes ever
00:21:44.060 again. And the left doesn't care, by the way. You think the city of Philadelphia doesn't know
00:21:48.780 that it's not supposed to be doing this? Do you think they know that it's illegal to spend taxpayer
00:21:53.220 funds on abortions? Of course they know, but they don't care. You understand? They don't care.
00:21:58.640 So they're sending this money directly to an abortion financing fund. Far left craziness.
00:22:06.960 By the way, so many of those organizations on the left, yes, they do have these mega donors,
00:22:11.500 but you also need to understand that so many of these organizations get taxpayer funding,
00:22:16.980 especially when it comes to, and I talked about this on Tim Cass last night, where I was exposed,
00:22:21.940 by the way, as being, yes, I'm going to come clean. The Cass Castle had the video of me pulling up and
00:22:28.540 dropping off the scripts for TimCast IRL. Yes, it's true. I was and have always been the person
00:22:38.060 who stages and scripts every single episode of TimCast. We get them from Mar-a-Lago, we get our
00:22:44.640 talking points, and I got these ones out just in time because that raid, whew, if you don't know
00:22:50.580 what I'm talking about, go check out the Cass Castle. We did a little video promoting the whole
00:22:54.580 thing. But, but, the left is willing to fund these things with state dollars. The right has nothing
00:23:01.580 like this. With federal financing for a right-wing organization, that seems crazy to us. The left,
00:23:08.320 they'll take money from everywhere because they don't care. If you're in a situation where one
00:23:13.320 side says, we will fight, and the other side says, we will let people do whatever they want,
00:23:18.900 which side do you think is going to win? All right, and so ends today's show for Human Events

00:24:00.560 President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act was secretly brought to you by Bill Gates. Isn't that
00:24:05.820 nice? Next, a conservative nonprofit is planning to spend millions bashing the woke left in midterms.
00:24:12.700 Third, Alec Baldwin doubling down, insisting that he didn't pull the trigger when the ballistics
00:24:18.000 report says he had to have pulled the trigger. And then finally, Philadelphia residents have filed
00:24:22.760 a lawsuit against the city for illegally using taxpayer dollars to fund abortions. Absolutely
00:24:29.940 packed week. So much is going on. Incredible, incredible moments for our entire country and for
00:24:36.800 our history. But I want to remind you that on this very day, all the way back in 1998,
00:24:43.680 President Bill Clinton became the first sitting president to give testimony before a grand jury
00:24:48.460 in which he, the president, was the focus of the investigation. This was the sweeping investigation
00:24:53.100 of the president by, keep in mind, independent counsel, Kenistar, not Congresswoman Liz Cheney,
00:24:58.800 not Speaker Pelosi, an independent counsel came in, came in and stated that they were going to look
00:25:07.360 at this as a special prosecutor. That's the difference between the Clinton investigation
00:25:12.700 that looked into his malfeasance and his lies vis-a-vis Monica Lewinsky. And it also comes in
00:25:18.500 to the fact that that was an independent investigation, not a partisan investigation.
00:25:24.460 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.
00:25:28.800 Thank you.
