00:00:20.420 and joshua lysick i'll see you there in detroit

00:00:23.020 this is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare

00:00:32.060 a commentator international social media sensation and former navy intelligence veteran

00:00:42.940 this is human events with your host jack persovic deliver us from i've also made very clear from day

00:00:49.140 that our first condition on any national security supplemental spending package

00:00:53.420 is about our own national security first the border is an absolute catastrophe with this urgent aid

00:01:00.560 package congress has a chance to ensure ukraine wins the war to ensure putin is not victorious

00:01:05.900 your fight is our fight 2017 will be the year of offense all of us will go back to washington

00:01:12.100 and we will push the case against russia the u.s state department says that vladimir putin's

00:01:18.420 appointment of a new defense minister shows his desperation to sustain his invasion of ukraine

00:01:24.360 on sunday putin tapped a civilian economist to replace long-time ally sergey shogu in the post

00:01:30.960 on the ground ukrainian officials say some russian soldiers have advanced across the kharkiv region

00:01:37.000 farther south donetsk is also locked in combat look it's an opaque system it's run by one man vladimir

00:01:45.240 putin he calls the shots he may move around professionals into various roles but at the end

00:01:50.460 of the day he seems uh bound and determined to continue to try to inflict a brutal war of

00:01:55.980 aggression on ukraine secretary of state anthony blinken is in kiev today for a previously unannounced

00:02:01.360 trip to reaffirm america's support for ukraine russia claims to have made its first breakthrough

00:02:07.860 seizing territory in many months their advance is towards the country's second city of kharkiv this is

00:02:13.680 the map of the battlefield that we've become used to seeing in recent months with red marking the

00:02:18.340 areas in the south and the east under russian military control but now a new front has opened

00:02:24.120 up to the northeast near kharkiv three of our primary adversaries russia and iran and china are working

00:02:31.240 together and they're being aggressors around the globe and they're a global threat to our prosperity

00:02:36.300 and our security their advance threatens their free world and it demands american leadership

00:02:42.360 if we turn our backs right now the consequences could be devastating well ladies and gentlemen welcome

00:02:48.660 on board today's edition of human events daily here live in washington dc today is may 14th 2024

00:02:56.080 anno domini we have a huge story up at humanevents.com everyone needs to go there and see this right now

00:03:04.360 the ukrainian corruption center has reported that the northern border defense funds were diverted to

00:03:12.040 fake companies which allowed the russians to then walk right across the border in the new kharkiv

00:03:18.720 offensive because the defensive fortifications had never been built and in fact we've got reports

00:03:25.360 from the harkov ova we've got reports from ukrainian propto this these are pro-ukrainian sources i want

00:03:34.320 to be very clear about this uh martina boguslavitz and others who are writing on these reports are

00:03:42.400 completely completely pro ukrainians are not pro-russian sources in any way but they're saying

00:03:48.700 that the local oligarchs who were in control of these of this area this is the northern border region

00:03:54.840 we've got a map of this so let's map break get it up there this is ukraine this is russia this is

00:04:00.900 belgorod harkiv this is an area that had seen some uh some advances in the early stages of the war

00:04:08.300 ukraine then came in and russia had a paltry force that was holding these areas pushed them back to

00:04:14.660 the original russian border but just in the last couple of days russia has invaded and has been slowly

00:04:21.260 encircling and taking settlement after settlement village after village now this isn't a huge area

00:04:27.480 but what's interesting is the breadth of the advance so far and what we're also being told

00:04:35.820 is quite strangely and people are reporting this on the ukrainian side which is now even coming into

00:04:40.920 western press the bbc has it they're saying things like the russian forces were able to walk

00:04:47.760 right in they simply walked in so the question is where are the defensive fortifications like the

00:04:56.280 russians had at the suravikin line during the counter offensive of last summer where are those

00:05:01.760 dug in defenses what you've just got a couple of guys there with shovels or something digging trenches

00:05:05.800 where's all the money where's the hundred billion dollars the 61 billion supplemental which was just sent

00:05:12.020 where did it all go where were the minefields where were where were the entrenchments where were the

00:05:19.600 concrete barriers the russians are simply walking across the border no it's very clear it's very clear

00:05:25.560 what's going on this is is and has always been one of the most corrupt countries in europe this is one

00:05:32.340 of the reasons by the way that they were not given admission to the european union for all of these

00:05:37.980 years and have still not been given an invitation to the european union this is one of the reasons

00:05:42.760 that people had issues with ukraine because of corruption had nothing to do with politics

00:05:47.280 and so now when you've got a group like that and you have that and you provoke them into a war with

00:05:53.280 russia guess what happens oligarch get rich politicians get kickbacks and good brave people

00:06:02.060 die in the process stay tuned human events are going to be on this all day

00:07:55.800 okay we're very excited now uh to continue the show we're gonna we're working on getting roger stone here

00:08:01.800 on the program

00:08:05.960 and this is very key to folks because we have to understand how does our government operate who

00:08:13.080 actually rolls in this situation we have to understand who rule who rules over us the ukrainian

00:08:23.640 budget these bills that keep getting sent over billions and billions of dollars and we're told

00:08:29.800 every single time that it has to be sent for the good of the people

00:08:34.360 and then we're also told that donald trump isn't allowed to be president we're told that donald trump

00:08:43.080 is a criminal we're told donald trump isn't allowed to be on the ballot and then we're even told that the

00:08:48.920 judge in the case has a daughter who was working with one of the groups that was trying to get trump

00:08:54.200 off the ballot in colorado lawfare is not something that's just going on in your head it's going on in

00:09:02.120 your country it's going on across your entire world here's another angle to this why is it that the

00:09:09.640 regime is so intent on making sure that the one man the one man who was not on the epstein list

00:09:20.440 one man in power who is not on that list is not allowed to return to the white house he's on trial

00:09:28.440 donald trump's on trial but every single client of jeffrey epstein is walking around free

00:09:36.760 understand this isn't hypocrisy it's hierarchy you're looking at how the regime works you're

00:09:45.800 looking at how the system of power works the system of trade-offs the system of levers you think they

00:09:52.840 don't know you think they don't know that the oligarchs are pocketing the money in ukraine

00:09:58.920 you think that our politicians don't know that they're getting kickbacks from defense contractors

00:10:03.320 when it comes to this stuff you think they don't know of course they know they all know and that's

00:10:08.360 why people like speaker johnson get put into office and all of a sudden change their entire tune when they

00:10:18.120 they get a little taste of power because they get let into the club i'm told now that we've got

00:10:26.200 political icon and a legendary political strategist roger stone joining us here again on the program

00:10:33.720 roger how are you jack it's great to be back with you no i think you're absolutely right i mean despite

00:10:40.440 my deep sentimental attachment to the old republican party of lincoln you know the party of lincoln the

00:10:47.480 party of eisenhower the party of reagan nixon and trump in fact we have a duopoly a uniparty

00:10:55.800 a group of unelected elites uh who are who have corrupted our government who control our government

00:11:03.400 who suppress our freedoms uh donald trump's nomination in 2016 was the hostile takeover of the republican

00:11:12.200 party of the bush's and therefore the party of the new world order the party of endless foreign war 0.72

00:11:19.720 and they've been trying to destroy him ever since i mean the most improbable guy comes out of nowhere

00:11:26.360 with just his gumption and his patriotism and essentially his own money and he barrels to the

00:11:33.240 the presidency uh disrupting the entire planned bush versus hillary narrative in which the war machine

00:11:42.040 would not only lose nothing but they would continue to prosper our uh our uh our constitutional rights

00:11:49.560 to free speech would continue to erode our civil liberties would be would continue to erode we would

00:11:56.440 go deeper and deeper into debt to pay for the endless foreign wars uh that profit these people

00:12:03.720 and along came donald trump who interrupted that for a brief four years and right now they they are apoplectic

00:12:11.960 jack they are near hysterical that their war uh their i actually call it a tsunami of lawfare against trump

00:12:22.440 simply isn't working it appears to anyone who could study the polling to be backfiring very very badly

00:12:33.080 now roger here's a here's a question that i have for you though and and this is something that i laid

00:12:37.000 out and i've been laying out for a couple of weeks that i wasn't surprised when i saw the new

00:12:41.480 york times sienna poll yesterday i'm not surprised that i've seen the betting markets have now seen a

00:12:46.440 massive swing for trump he's now up five and so many of these he is in white he is widely being

00:12:52.280 considered the favorite in this election it's it's actually become this because i think the the

00:12:57.560 courtroom trials have backfired and this is all something that i predicted certainly that you

00:13:01.160 predicted as well but here's what i am worried about and this is what i keep getting asked about as well

00:13:07.720 you know it's over in eastern europe and i kept getting asked this question and it really dawned on me

00:13:11.880 they said and nobody asked me can donald trump win the presidency again they kept asking me especially

00:13:18.760 in eastern europe where they would say oh your president is on trial we have seen these type of

00:13:24.200 operations before we are very used to this kind of politics uh you know in romania and hungary and this

00:13:30.840 is in poland this is how they operated into the 1980s roger the question they asked is will donald trump

00:13:37.080 be allowed to be president again and can donald trump defeat the regime and this is where i've

00:13:44.440 i've come down and i'd love to hear a topic on your uh take on this that it's not that it's a political

00:13:50.520 fight that he's in at this point it's operational because we need the infrastructure to win i think

00:13:55.800 he's already won on the issues well first of all that was the best boris bedenoff impression i i've ever

00:14:03.080 heard i want to congratulate you for that phrase uh but then second secondarily say that look if we

00:14:10.360 have a free fair honest and transparent election at this point i think it is based on the trends and

00:14:17.960 the situation the dynamics uh likely that president trump would win the democrats have a toxic mix here

00:14:25.880 uh this the open borders policy is causing chaos in the land we have a we have a a a drug crisis crisis

00:14:34.440 we have a crime crisis we have a fiscal crisis because the states and cities and counties are in

00:14:42.120 some cases required by law to pay for social services for people who are here illegally even if that means

00:14:49.400 slashing services for u.s taxpayers uh we have uh we have gas prices going back up as we have to beg

00:14:58.120 venezuela uh or uh or uh who sells us you know guard the worst oil in the world tar that we have to

00:15:06.600 refine at great expense gets passed on to the gas uh uh users at the tank because we've abandoned the

00:15:14.760 energy independence of donald j trump so uh and the uh the inability of of biden to perform in public is

00:15:23.160 obviously mentally uh mentally slipping capacities combined with uh a sour economy we know these

00:15:31.480 economic uh statistics that the that the administration puts out are largely uh manipulated i've talked about

00:15:39.160 this at great length uh with the uh housing uh an economy economic expert barry habib on my own show the

00:15:47.640 stone zone and also at 77 wabc radio in new york these economic statistics jack are they're they're

00:15:55.640 manipulated uh combine that with the fact that we're on the cusp of world war uh in two regions and at

00:16:03.240 least one region we seem to be financing both sides of the war uh which uh you know is is has the

00:16:11.720 potential to divide the democratic party as they were divided over vietnam in 1968.

00:16:22.440 you know this is the big thing and so republicans stand to gain and gain big roger some of these swings

00:16:28.360 that we've also seen in the new york times poll talking about the youth vote talking about blacks and

00:16:33.000 hispanics came as a massive surprise to the mainstream media and the folks over at cnn and msnbc but you've

00:16:39.080 been talking about that here on this program for over a year yeah you see the incremental gains that

00:16:46.840 donald trump is making in some of these heretofore you know onion unimpregnable voter blocks i mean uh we

00:16:56.200 have yet to see you know how much he will achieve in terms of the jewish vote uh the jewish vote in

00:17:02.680 america is a is not insignificant it has been habitually overwhelmingly democratic seemingly in

00:17:10.200 many instances jewish voters voting against policies that would be best for israel which is sometimes

00:17:16.280 perplexing but trump has made historic gains even among jews i think he can make more as someone who

00:17:23.880 would bring stability to the region someone who has a track record in the uh in the uh accords uh

00:17:31.800 the that uh the abraham accords uh so someone who has a track record of bringing peace and bringing

00:17:38.280 people together in the region uh but he's also made great strides among african americans much of that is

00:17:45.640 about two things trump actually did something about criminal justice reform in the first step act in

00:17:52.680 the uh and the second chance act so that if someone uh is arrested for the first time non-violent crime

00:18:00.040 of possessing a tiny amount of drugs for their personal use they're not sent to prison for the rest

00:18:04.920 of their lives they're sent to drug treatment programs and people have seen this and they can see where

00:18:10.760 it's going roger quick break we'll be right back hold that thought human events daily continues around the bed

00:18:19.480 i rolled with bloods and them boys had a saying you can't be listening to all that slappy whack

00:18:25.880 trimatazala it's a bam ship nippy bam bam like human events with jack posobik

00:18:33.880 jack's up here live i want to tell you real quick about

00:19:29.400 taste but only for a limited time only spelled m-o-i-n-k box dot com slash poso that's moink box

00:19:35.240 dot com slash poso we're on with roger stone rogers handicapping the latest developments in the race now

00:19:43.400 roger i would be remiss if i didn't ask you the big question everyone's talking about the veep stakes

00:19:49.080 the vp stakes we've got this uh this photo up at um at president trump's at trial today and i'm i'm

00:19:56.680 very by the way hearten to see the fact that the show trial is now being essentially viewed as a

00:20:01.480 show trial and it's become sort of a stopping ground for uh not only potential um uh potential

00:20:08.120 cabinet members but even potential vice presidents for donald trump we've seen doug bergam is up there

00:20:14.120 today vivek ramaswamy a ton of people that are up there jd vance was there the other day

00:20:19.640 i believe rick scott probably a few more um the uh elise tephonic was there many many others tommy

00:20:25.640 tuberville who i think is doing a fantastic job representing the state of alabama and the

00:20:29.480 senator roger what do you think about the veep stakes and the intersection with trump's show trial

00:20:36.200 in new york uh well look i think everybody who attended the trial as members of the public allowed

00:20:42.920 to do did so in solidarity with the president to show him uh their support uh he's being forced to 0.64

00:20:49.960 to sit in this cold drafty courthouse for hours on end over these mind-numbingly ridiculous claims

00:20:58.920 by his critics uh andy's gags and therefore limited in how he can even defend himself in public so

00:21:06.520 as you can imagine it's very frustrating i think everybody there was uh there to support him but

00:21:12.200 it was brought to my attention that every single one of the people you just named

00:21:15.960 uh every one of them wore a blue suit a white shirt and a red tie uh in solidarity uh with the

00:21:24.360 president himself and of course jd vance a present uh veck ramaswamy i think went both of them

00:21:31.720 consistently mentioned as potential vice presidential candidates so of course it doesn't hurt for one to

00:21:39.320 show your support but sure nixon once told me that you can't actually run for vice president

00:21:45.720 in fact he says if you want to be vice president you have to be somewhat clever about it so you need

00:21:50.520 to position yourself by the things you say and you do to demonstrate the asset that you would be to the

00:21:56.920 presidential candidate without seeming to campaign for it one way to do that of course would be to

00:22:03.320 show up at his trial in new york and i think this is excellent i think this is a huge mark across

00:22:10.760 the world and and by the way roger i think it's also telling which republicans are not at the new

00:22:16.280 york trial i think you're not going to see the likes of paul ryan and mitch mcconnell and so many of

00:22:21.480 these others i think by going there they really are showing that president trump has become the

00:22:27.560 dominant force in the republican party and what we're seeing is them showing uh showing their

00:22:32.440 loyalty and their support really for the leader of the gop this is actually pretty big in and of

00:22:38.280 itself because of course we were told for so long from the likes of uh the people that were primarying

00:22:43.800 him the ron de santa supporters the nikki haley supporters and others that president trump's trials

00:22:48.520 would be the death knell for him when in fact it's been the absolute opposite well i would say the fact

00:22:54.840 that he's unfortunately pinned down to new york for days at a time he's made maximum advantage of

00:23:00.440 that i think very cleverly uh first of all going to the wake of a police officer who uh had been shot

00:23:08.120 and killed by a man with 21 priors that the new york liberal justice system would not lock up uh going

00:23:14.520 to the bodega uh in uh uh in uh uh i think it was uh in the bronx where the bodega owner was uh assaulted

00:23:24.440 but the police arrested him instead of arresting the criminal uh going to the firehouse and

00:23:29.400 distributing pizzas and then uh who could have missed uh roughly a hundred thousand people uh on

00:23:36.360 the shore in wildwood new jersey which may have been largest single presidential candidate rally uh in

00:23:44.120 history uh i got trashed when i uh when i started trolling the left after putting up a number of

00:23:51.160 pictures of how huge the crowd was i put up a photo of uh i uh an aerial shot uh in san pablo of a rod

00:23:59.640 stewart concert because and the left has no sense of humor none whatsoever look a hundred thousand people

00:24:06.920 is a hundred thousand people get over it and this is something too where people have been saying that

00:24:13.640 they don't understand that the basics of politics here are the basics of how just even normal parts of

00:24:18.600 the country work and this is something where i can explain because that was my backyard growing up

00:24:22.760 every summer we went down to the jersey shore to ocean city and the stone harbor and to sea isle and to

00:24:28.760 avalon and of course to wildwood wildwood was always the big one i actually saw the comedian gallagher there

00:24:34.760 once years ago uh late great comedian gallagher and uh this was a spot where so much you're going to get

00:24:43.160 i would say i'm willing to bet 45 to 50 percent if not more of that audience was pennsylvania voters

00:24:49.560 because it's only about a 90 minute drive plus you've already got republicans from areas in new

00:24:54.840 jersey which has always been on the cusp in in presidential politics and places like new york city

00:24:59.480 where the president is and i think rightly making a making a play and making his stand as you outlined

00:25:04.840 and he's even talked about doing a rally at madison square garden look if he can get a hundred thousand

00:25:09.560 people on a beach in wildwood when it's still actually pretty cold out for this time of the

00:25:14.280 year imagine how many people he can get in madison square garden there's no question he'll sell it out

00:25:20.280 no look you're absolutely right look this is a new phenomena so i worked for ronald reagan

00:25:25.400 he was very popular but we had to work people very hard to get cheeks in seats at these rallies

00:25:32.040 to get people to attend the these rallies these are not even seated events as you can see

00:25:38.040 everybody there standing other than those who brought beach chairs and they were hoping hoping

00:25:43.560 for sixty thousand uh i uh talked to folks in the wildwood police department that hundred thousand

00:25:49.720 number is that's not fluff it's very very real also a large number of people as you correctly point out

00:25:56.760 jack from pennsylvania a crucial swing state new jersey a state that polling now shows uh is within trump's

00:26:04.840 potential grasp uh also uh large contingent from new york as you point out substantial number of

00:26:13.000 people from connecticut uh as well so uh and the polls in new york and new jersey at least actually show

00:26:20.440 both of them in range again it is the toxic mix of the failure of joe biden's policies uh and the pressure

00:26:28.360 it's put on the economy the epic corruption of his family his inability to show that he is firmly in

00:26:35.400 control and has a direction that would profit the the the country and his fumbling on the world stage

00:26:43.320 uh that has made people remember how good they have it had it under the peace and prosperity of donald j trump

00:26:50.680 this is something that a lot of people are going to be looking at and there's no question going into

00:26:56.920 the summer the idea of this raucous fun trump rally where we can see the abject uh anger and the

00:27:05.320 bitterness of so many of these leftist protests and rage mobs across campuses and blocking traffic

00:27:11.320 and then you look at a trump crowd and you see people who seem happy who seem genuinely patriotic people

00:27:15.560 showing up with their children uh people hanging off of balconies it looked like a fun atmosphere

00:27:21.160 and i really can't get over this point we talked about yesterday as well but that these people roger

00:27:26.680 were told that donald trump was a criminal and they were told that they weren't allowed to support him

00:27:31.720 and there's just something that cuts against the very grain of what it means to be an american to be

00:27:37.480 told that you aren't allowed to support a certain candidate i think that's responsible for a huge part

00:27:43.720 of the swing right now we're seeing well people always uh want more of what they're not supposed to

00:27:50.680 have uh but in and despite the fact that mainstream media has tried to under-report any good news

00:27:58.760 whatsoever for donald trump he remains extraordinarily resilient and popular with the people and he is

00:28:07.960 gaining i think there there is some sympathy factor but more of it has to do with the fact that we have

00:28:14.520 the worst president in our history and you can just look back at the trump years which which when

00:28:21.480 compared to the chaos we have today looks orderly but we knew was building the most robust economy in our

00:28:29.720 history uh we had no new foreign wars we withdrew our fighting men and women from a number of countries

00:28:36.920 without those countries collapsing into the hands of the enemies uh we left behind uh we had no

00:28:44.200 aggression by russia we had no aggression by red china you can't say any of that about the failed

00:28:52.040 biden administration certainly not now roger we only have a couple of minutes left here but i have to ask

00:28:57.880 you there was a photo that was posted of you on the internet last night with comedian sam hyde who's been

00:29:06.360 responsible for a number of things around our world can you explain what was going on in this photo

00:29:12.360 uh sam hyde is a very very cool guy uh he is uh uh he asked me to do the narration in a project that

00:29:22.120 i'm not allowed to talk about it's kind of something more aimed at children uh and i was happy to meet

00:29:28.200 him his his comedy is extremely offbeat to say the least but uh uh and i of course am banned for life

00:29:37.080 uh at uh uh at instagram where of course his biggest following is so uh he was uh he was an interesting

00:29:46.280 guy he brought an interesting crew and i had to mix up some of dick nixon's legendary silver bullets it was

00:29:54.920 it was a vodka and gin martinis all the way around well roger it's my son's sixth birthday today so

00:30:02.360 i'm certainly who you got to meet down when we had pizza down in uh down in florida so whatever that

00:30:07.480 project is i can't wait to get it for him roger where can people go to get more of roger stone and

00:30:13.160 get into the stone zone uh people go to stone zone.com stone zone.com you can find all things roger

00:30:20.440 stone there of course i do a daily show the stone zone uh at rumble.com slash roger stone every day

00:30:28.440 at 8 p.m eastern but you can find it all at stone zone.com thank you jack and god bless you

00:30:35.960 god bless roger thanks for being on tony shaper lieutenant colonel joins us next

00:30:42.520 where is jack where is jack where is he jack i want to see you

00:30:50.440 great job jack thank you what a job you do you know we have an incredible thing we're always

00:30:57.320 talking about the fake news and the bad but we have guys and these are the guys should be getting

00:31:02.280 policies all right jack so we're back live i want to get back into now this ukrainian corruption story

00:31:10.200 coupled with the fact that russia has now launched its spring summer offensive this is something that

00:31:16.280 was predicted by none other than lieutenant colonel tony shaper here on this very program and when did

00:31:22.600 russia launch it of course may 9th their national day crossing the border slamming into the northern

00:31:29.880 province of kharkiv and of course the question then becomes how is it that russia was able to come

00:31:36.360 across so quickly especially at a time when really everybody predicted that there was going to be

00:31:41.240 an offensive the bbc put out reports saying that the fields were not mined that the russians were

00:31:47.240 essentially walking right in and then ukrainian pravda puts out a report from the ukrainian uh

00:31:54.920 anti-corruption center which is actually affiliated with like george soros and a bunch of lefties

00:32:00.040 was saying that the money that was sent for the defense of kharkiv province had been funneled away

00:32:08.040 into fake fictitious companies the oligarchs were pocketing all of this and the russians were able

00:32:15.880 to walk right in guess what you think russian intelligence didn't know where the fortifications

00:32:21.480 were didn't know about the money didn't know what was going on it's very clear here we are on the

00:32:25.720 podcast watching all this lieutenant colonel tony shaper let's get your let your take on these latest

00:32:31.160 updates and developments out of ukraine so i think we need to take a step back and remember what we're

00:32:36.920 dealing with here jack you and i are very good about tracking things and one of the things i said

00:32:40.760 from the beginning we are dealing with cultures which mirror each other two sides of the same coin 0.99

00:32:46.840 i don't care what what analogy you want to make but the corruption in ukraine is not significantly

00:32:54.840 different than the corruption in russia you can't call putin and his oligarchs corrupt without

00:33:00.440 accepting the fact that you've got the same thing with uh delinsky and his his uh crowd so it's it's

00:33:09.640 like okay they're all corrupt and then you then decide to pick a side which again i think this is 0.97

00:33:15.000 a civil war we picked a side in the civil war which was stupid and uh we've now been funding this other 0.98

00:33:21.080 side and oh by the way we we who are concerned about the strategy like why are we doing this and say 0.93

00:33:28.440 if you're going to fund it let's account for it and then our own congress won't do any oversight won't

00:33:35.480 actually look at where the money is going which allow just again it's like you're fueling the very

00:33:41.160 corruption we now acknowledge exists and then you get things like oh yeah we paid all this money for uh

00:33:48.520 for the construction and retention of of barriers to prevent the russians from invading or moving

00:33:55.000 quickly if they invade and there's no barriers because all the money is gone to the oligarchs and

00:34:00.440 we're somehow surprised by this jack why are we surprised by this well i don't think we are surprised

00:34:05.720 i think the fact is the western media continues to to ignore what we've said are observable facts that

00:34:13.560 actually impact on uh the relationship we have with ukraine at least it should and the fact is that

00:34:20.760 there's no strategy there's no belief that we're actually going to to actually stop the russians

00:34:25.080 and here we are and we i did say earlier this year and in very clear terms as soon as the russians were

00:34:31.400 ready of a time of their choosing they'll they'll choose to come in and start defensive operations and

00:34:37.240 we're at that point now and so this is the real question that everyone is asking is with billions on

00:34:46.120 the line where exactly is the money going and there's no question that all of us who were saying

00:34:53.320 that ukraine this is the reason they weren't allowed in the eu in the first place right 1.00

00:34:57.240 even coming back even before the civil war kicked off even before all this stuff kicked off in 2014

00:35:02.520 a decade ago people were saying and you could go and find the reports from all of the international

00:35:09.480 auditing firms and all this they said there's too much corruption there's no way and ukraine has

00:35:13.560 always been and and really the black sea area not just not just ukraine but many countries around

00:35:18.440 the black sea have always been notorious for the trafficking of weapons the trafficking of drugs and

00:35:24.920 unfortunately the trafficking of uh the human labor trafficking and sex trafficking this has always been

00:35:31.400 a huge issue in the black sea a lot of countries are fighting it but we already know that in ukraine

00:35:37.480 apparently that by the way you don't even have to take my word for it because this is what

00:35:42.200 zelinski campaigned on zelinski campaigned on cleaning up corruption and now you got a guy like this

00:35:49.800 where people are making money by stealing hand and force tony shaver so yeah meet the meet the new boss

00:35:57.320 just like the old boss is the who says i mean it's it's all the same uh recycled over and over and the

00:36:03.560 money's gone to three places first uh i'll be blunt the american industrial base has been uh greatly

00:36:11.160 benefiting eisenhower once warned us of the military industrial congressional complex well that's where

00:36:17.320 a lot of it goes and and other politicians to include jake sullivan said oh yeah we're spending a lot

00:36:22.840 of money here in the united states because we make them weapons so that's number one number two and this

00:36:27.560 is where it gets dicey is the direct funding of the ukrainian government their civil service their

00:36:35.080 puppet shows in kiev the politicians we we are literally throwing money at them like they were a

00:36:43.960 state of the union this is like us us throwing money at puerto rico uh once puerto rico had a hurricane

00:36:50.440 that's what we're doing here and so that money i know for a fact is the issue and then the third

00:36:55.560 category of money is that which actually goes to defending that their nation that is to say that

00:37:02.680 they depend on us giving a certain amount of of uh liquid assets a certain amount of cash which is

00:37:11.800 supposed to go for local use that is to say contractors which are uh contracted by the ukrainian

00:37:19.160 government to go do things or make things and that's where we're finding all that money has been

00:37:25.480 essentially stolen it's not been used for anything that was supposed to be in on the uh on the the

00:37:32.840 bill of goods that we were supposed to be funding and i don't again i don't know why people are

00:37:37.880 surprised by this everybody somehow oh geez this should have been something we looked at well a lot of

00:37:43.080 us did want to look at it it was the political left who i would argue when i mentioned the politicians

00:37:49.400 there jack i think there's some election some link between us democrat politicians and those on the

00:37:56.520 ground and oh didn't i don't remember uh yeah yeah uh mr ten percent joe biden may have gotten ten percent

00:38:03.000 from hunter biden and what they were doing so i think there's some real issues there that have to be

00:38:08.200 looked at well and there's no question but unfortunately the people who are caught in the middle of all this

00:38:14.040 are the number one the ukrainian soldiers and number two the ukrainian people that are all caught

00:38:18.920 in the middle i think we actually have one of the contracts we can show this up um if we have here and

00:38:23.640 and you can see again these are the documents that list you and you can see the leaders names

00:38:28.600 right next to the names of the companies that were sent over many of the same times you see these

00:38:34.760 these companies that exist only on paper because they're controlled by directly linked to the oligarchs

00:38:41.640 that were given the money there so they were told of you know one is a contract for wood one was a

00:38:46.280 contract for concrete one was a contract for you know trench entrenchments and shovels and all this

00:38:51.960 but tony talk to me about the russian uh advance that we've actually seen what do you think

00:38:57.240 russia's strategy is do you think that they intend to actually uh attempt to take the city of harkiv

00:39:05.880 yes of course i think it's a matter of time to your point you mentioned in the run-up that there

00:39:10.920 were villages you're just kind of walking into um there's been extraordinary gains of land i mean

00:39:16.360 in the next last five days i think they've gained like 120 kilometers now think about the slugfest

00:39:21.480 they've been in jack they've been fighting for uh millimeters you know meters to millimeters of

00:39:28.600 territory every day and then all of a sudden it's like hey everything's open well everything is open

00:39:32.920 because the very thing we're talking about oligarchs not having built these fallback positions these

00:39:41.160 barriers the russians are just driving along so i think the russians are gonna have to assess

00:39:46.840 what do they do i i i think they kind of knew this was going on i mean the russians have got really

00:39:52.600 good intel on everything going on there and i think that the russians now are going to look at two things

00:39:59.480 first what will be the cost of obtaining and controlling more land is it worth it to us because

00:40:07.160 so far the donbass and other regions they've taken control of there's very little in the way of you

00:40:13.080 know most of the populations for them being there so the other thing that the russian media continues

00:40:17.160 to not report at all it's like yeah there's no people being upset with the russians being there

00:40:21.400 because they're kind of russians who uh are for the russian occupation and i wouldn't call it an

00:40:27.640 occupation i'd say the russians uh wanted the referendum and that referendum has been kind of

00:40:32.360 done by the fact they've retained the land and everybody's not upset secondly what do the russians want

00:40:39.880 not relating to the the territory and i think they could go all the way we're gonna uh the river

00:40:44.920 and uh we're gonna learn that very soon and i i think you're right tony a quick break here we'll be

00:40:49.320 right back lieutenant girl and tony shaper breaking down the latest developments the russian offensive

00:40:53.960 across the northern border of the ukraine the undefended

00:40:59.240 hear about the boring people at your office i'm trying to listen to the new human events

00:41:04.200 with jack pozovic all right jack back live lieutenant girl and tony shaper now

00:41:10.520 tony we've been talking a lot about the russian advance and the lack of defenses the corruption but

00:41:15.960 here's another piece i want to talk about because also since putin's um re-inauguration starting a new

00:41:22.360 term as as the president of russia i believe it's his fourth term i'm sure there's going to be many more

00:41:26.840 terms yeah um that he is something the russian government does typically when a new presidential term

00:41:33.080 starts is that they they really shift around a lot of the names a lot of the officials and so we're

00:41:39.000 seeing these huge headlines out of western media saying the russian minister of defense has been

00:41:44.120 fired he's been sacked he was let go uh all of this that means actually what's happening in russia

00:41:50.040 is falling apart the war effort is terrible yet that doesn't necessarily square with what we see on

00:41:55.080 the ground because they have they're conducting a successful offensive right now what's really going on

00:42:00.760 inside the kremlin and does this tie back to everything we saw with purgosian and wagner last

00:42:06.840 year well let me ask you a question back jack how many times have we been told that vladimir putin's

00:42:12.520 about to die i mean how many times you mean this week or aggregate it doesn't so when putin died last

00:42:20.440 year no no no tony he died last year and he was replaced by by uh evil putin evil putin from the

00:42:27.080 the alternate dimension is here now he just shaved i know no that's my point it's like we constantly

00:42:33.560 see western media especially the british uh reporting on aspirations not on facts so i i i try to be very

00:42:41.800 clear in my commentary and in this case my observations my professional opinion if you will is that these are

00:42:51.240 all promotions uh putin has had to adjust no doubt when they first went into ukraine the internal

00:42:59.880 corruption in their political system and mod military their their uh their dod version of dod killed

00:43:09.240 them i mean literally was killing people tanks weren't prepared special weapons weren't prepared not

00:43:14.600 particular but other special weapons uh uh they had no drones and so they learned from that

00:43:20.920 so shoigu has actually been the guy who helped write the ship he helped get uh the the the weaponized

00:43:28.920 uh systems systems that needed to produce the weapons online and producing that's why now they're

00:43:35.880 out producing the west the whole west they're out producing the eu and the united states based on

00:43:41.000 shoigu and what they were able to do to fix and yeah progosian was complaining about lack of resources

00:43:47.480 he was right but they fixed it and so why on earth jack would you fire the guy who actually fixed the

00:43:54.440 system that everybody acknowledged was wrong well you don't you're promoted and you change people

00:43:59.160 around and put them in positions which you think they'll be most effective as they start driving and

00:44:04.200 i was about to say at the end of the last before we went to break the nepper as they start driving

00:44:09.000 towards the nepper and then once they get to the nepper they'll have to make some decisions on what they

00:44:13.480 want to do they've already said they want odessa so got real estate in odessa jack you should be

00:44:19.480 your investment should pay off yes exactly yeah you well get get out while you still can i'll put it

00:44:27.800 that way uh i'm not sure i'm not sure if you're going to find any buyers unless maybe if they have

00:44:32.280 russian last names i'm not sure uh no because they're going to be turning because i i i think odessa

00:44:37.480 at this point next year we'll be talking about what uh what base the russian navy will be giving the

00:44:43.720 name to uh over in odessa unfortunately because it looks like it looks like at this at this point

00:44:50.920 the russians don't have any direct need or here's my point all right what leverage do does the west

00:45:00.040 does ukraine does zelinski does biden have in getting putin to the negotiating table why would

00:45:07.240 he want to what's in it for him what incentive does he have to negotiate when every single time the

00:45:12.760 russians have tried to they've either been lied to or the negotiations were broken this is why you're

00:45:17.400 seeing some of these officials like rush like the russian ambassador to the u.n going in and saying

00:45:21.560 the only thing that should be on the table is ukraine surrender yeah so that's the that's the issue

00:45:27.320 they have nothing left so you've seen from the neocon class the the issue of nuclear weapons oh

00:45:33.480 there's nuclear weapons yes that's always a possibility since the cold war we we that is something

00:45:39.880 but you see the neocons kind of saber rattling as if like the west may do something you know and of

00:45:46.920 course you got the french president uh macaron uh uh pretending to be napoleon one day he's going to

00:45:55.080 send troops in the next he's saying oh no no we're not the strategic ambiguity which has never worked 0.85

00:46:00.920 uh you see it's a clown show jack it's a clown show and at this point putin and his team are in

00:46:08.440 the driver's seat and i think the only reason they are being restrained is what i said earlier on your

00:46:13.880 show they're trying to figure out what's going to be the cost you know we we mobilized we've got all

00:46:20.360 these soldiers in uniform how much do we want to pay for for you know the territory we take how much

00:46:27.000 is it going to cost us to retain it i believe and i said this a year ago when we started talking about

00:46:32.360 this they want to turn ukraine into a rump state it's kind of like switzerland something neutral

00:46:37.960 that will not be fish or foul it'll be just kind of a state that exists and the territory they already

00:46:44.760 hold right now will become part of russia everything else becomes a buffer and the people who ultimately

00:46:51.080 are going to suffer are the ukrainian people which i feel very badly for and this is the main issue 1.00

00:46:57.000 look we're already heard um that the russians have that some people are even theorizing that the russians

00:47:02.600 are looking at the battle of harkov the same way they're looking they looked over last year or actually

00:47:08.040 even say no it's two years ago at this point the battle of mariupol down in the uh uh the donesk

00:47:14.520 province um i always say province they always you know they're like no it's supposed to be oblast i'm

00:47:18.840 like no i'm speaking english i'm just gonna say province right that's okay you know yes i know it's

00:47:22.920 an oblast but i'm going to say province because i'm speaking english right now it's the english language

00:47:27.800 uh and we use the word province over here and so it's a way for people to understand this but

00:47:32.040 that being the case um do you think that we're going to start seeing i i guess the next thing that we

00:47:37.080 would start seeing is mass evacuations of the city i think so so just again a question to you jack one

00:47:44.680 have we seen seen the russians not take a city or territory they set their mind to do they've been

00:47:49.320 very consistent very meticulous they've been using uh essentially uh um aggressive attrition the other

00:47:57.320 side's attrition not their attrition to formulate and execute their military strategy and at this point

00:48:04.360 unless there is a foreign uh nation foreign force coming in manpower to stop them they're going to 0.97

00:48:11.400 continue to do it oh by the way you've heard the s-16s the next wonder weapon's going to stop them 0.99

00:48:16.840 i roll my eyes over and over because it's just you know that's the wonder weapon you know the wonder

00:48:21.560 weapon was also something that the germans were talking about towards the end lieutenant colonel tony
