00:00:00.000 The FBI pushed Twitter to censor the Hunter Biden laptop, and we have the receipts.
00:00:07.680 Ladies and gentlemen, this is a massive episode you need to strap in.
00:00:12.880 Because there's so much going on, we all need to join together.
00:00:17.980 We actually need to physically come together as a community of patriots who love our country
00:00:23.680 to plan our next steps and plan the way forward.
00:00:26.820 That's why I am joining with Steve Bannon in the War Room, with Tucker Carlson, with Charlie
00:00:32.520 Kirk and The Charlie Kirk Show, and we are all coming together, Phoenix, Arizona, for
00:00:37.640 a meeting of the minds.
00:00:39.280 Tim Poole and Tim Kast will be there.
00:00:42.140 Candace Owens will be there.
00:00:43.440 You know who else is going to be there?
00:00:44.920 You.
00:00:45.600 You're going to be there because this is a working meeting.
00:00:48.960 Go to AmFest.com right now, promo code POSO, AmFest.com, promo code POSO.
00:00:54.520 Secure your presence.
00:00:56.300 You must be there.
00:01:07.340 I told Matt Taibbi and Barry Weiss, hey, listen, whatever you see, if you think public should
00:01:15.260 know about it, you just post it.
00:01:17.120 With regards to the dissemination of information, so right now it's just Matt Taibbi and Barry
00:01:23.180 Weiss.
00:01:23.540 Do you have any plans to maybe give access to more journalists like, say, Ryan Savidra
00:01:29.860 of Daily Wire or Jack Masovic?
00:01:31.520 I mean, he's done lots of coverage on this stuff even previously, so I'm sure they'd love
00:01:35.960 to know.
00:01:37.860 Yeah, I think maybe at some point we should just put it all out there.
00:01:43.920 You know, so like I think in the beginning, it's good to have some coherence and, you know,
00:01:54.960 so it's not just a million stories all at once.
00:01:57.380 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily powered
00:02:01.200 by Turning Point USA.
00:02:02.200 Say, what you just heard, what you just heard, Elon Musk holding the live Q&A on Saturday
00:02:08.700 night that he promised us that he would hold after the release of the Twitter files.
00:02:13.720 Now, we gave you the entire Twitter files discussion on Friday.
00:02:17.660 But what's key that's come out of this, and we've got Libby Emmons from the Post Millennial
00:02:22.240 Editor-in-Chief who's going to be joining us.
00:02:23.900 I'm here down in Florida for a couple of days.
00:02:25.940 I'm going to be speaking at UCF later on Tuesday night.
00:02:28.860 So we decided that we'd stay in Florida, bring the family down, but that doesn't mean
00:02:32.660 that the work stops.
00:02:34.300 What we discovered on Saturday night, right before I go into Mar-a-Lago, where we're going
00:02:39.080 in there for dinner, we did have the dinner, certain elements of which I cannot speak about
00:02:44.040 publicly, but we pulled up the Twitter FEC filing.
00:02:48.620 I posted this on Twitter at the time.
00:02:50.900 So it's I'm pulling up Twitter's filing and I'm posting it on Twitter.
00:02:53.680 So go through the metaphysical ramifications of that.
00:02:56.860 But that they went to the FEC and they said it could not have been political bias for
00:03:06.080 us to ban the Hunter Biden laptop.
00:03:08.800 And why is that?
00:03:10.020 And the FEC asked, why is that?
00:03:12.120 And we have it signed in sworn testimony, sworn declaration by Yoel Roth, who was the head
00:03:18.940 of trust and safety at Twitter, who stated, we did this at the behest of federal law enforcement,
00:03:26.380 meaning the FBI, because they had been holding weekly meetings where they were warned not just
00:03:32.720 of a general threat, but also specifically of a hack and leak operation with the FBI's words
00:03:41.720 regarding Hunter Biden.
00:03:45.440 Now, what it's starting to look like is that the FBI, remember, they had Rudy Giuliani under
00:03:50.280 surveillance at this time due to an investigation regarding Ukraine.
00:03:54.620 Of course, it goes back to Ukraine like everything seems to do.
00:03:57.660 The whole point of this, by the way, the whole point of what the laptop shows us, which is real.
00:04:02.580 OK, we have to go into that.
00:04:03.640 It shows us that Hunter Biden was working with Burisma to try to get the Ukrainian energy
00:04:09.420 market to serve Europe, serve the EU.
00:04:12.820 That's what it was all about.
00:04:14.840 And imagine how much money Hunter Biden and his family stood to make if Burisma became one
00:04:21.400 of the chief oil suppliers, energy suppliers of Europe.
00:04:25.580 That's what so much of this is about.
00:04:27.560 And by the way, if you want to play that game a little more, tease it out.
00:04:30.360 Quibono, who then benefits from the Nord Stream pipelines being blown up.
00:04:35.360 Kind of funny how that works.
00:04:37.480 So going back to all of it, and I have to give a thank you to Ian Miles Chong for suggesting
00:04:42.720 that Elon release a copy of the Twitter files to human events.
00:04:48.500 Elon, if you're listening, you're more than happy to receive that because we need to go
00:04:53.120 through every single line by line piece of information that Twitter has put out in statements
00:04:58.920 that they've done in Q&As, that they've done anywhere, and then compare that to what they
00:05:03.320 were saying in private.
00:05:04.600 When you put the public information against the private information, then we are going
00:05:09.940 to find out what really happened here.
00:05:12.020 So Libby Emmons, I want to bring you on because you've been covering this as well, and you've
00:05:15.780 been following through with it.
00:05:16.980 Where do you think we stand in terms of the story right now?
00:05:22.300 And in your mind, is that the biggest piece that we're missing, the fact that this was
00:05:27.600 intelligence community driven?
00:05:30.420 I think that's a really big deal.
00:05:32.280 I think what we saw on Friday night, and as I said, I was tracking Friday.
00:05:36.160 I was also tracking it Saturday and throughout the weekend.
00:05:39.300 What we saw is that Twitter appears to have been led by the U.S. intelligence agencies and
00:05:48.180 the Biden campaign at the time to believe that a Russian disinformation drop regarding Hunter
00:05:54.320 Biden was going to emerge.
00:05:56.300 What's interesting about that is that then they made the assumption that when the laptop
00:06:00.520 story broke, this was the disinformation plot.
00:06:03.800 The only issue, of course, is that the FBI already knew about the laptop.
00:06:07.720 They had it in their possession.
00:06:09.660 We've already seen that they were suppressing that investigation.
00:06:13.240 One of the agents who was in charge of that investigation and did suppress it resigned in
00:06:17.740 August of this year.
00:06:19.380 So we know that the FBI knew about it.
00:06:22.540 We know that they had every idea that they were going to suppress it because that's, of
00:06:27.760 course, what they were doing.
00:06:29.160 And we know that they led Twitter executives to believe that anything regarding Hunter Biden
00:06:35.740 was going to be Russian disinformation.
00:06:37.720 And then the New York Post story dropped.
00:06:39.660 So it does seem like a little, you know, carrot story going on here where Twitter doesn't
00:06:48.920 have intelligence expertise.
00:06:51.220 They don't know what they're necessarily looking for.
00:06:53.660 They're tech people.
00:06:54.840 Let me, and here's, here's, and I don't mean to push back on you, but I want to push back
00:06:58.700 on that narrative because we know that Twitter, excuse me, we know the Intel officials did
00:07:04.620 this before because it's exactly what they did in 2016.
00:07:07.500 Remember they were doing the briefings on Russian interference and we think the Trump campaign
00:07:11.440 is interfering with the Russians and we're seeing these contacts and we've got all this
00:07:14.620 information.
00:07:15.300 All of it was fake, right?
00:07:16.580 All of it was fake.
00:07:17.300 But it was the exact same thing they did in 2016 that they started doing in 2020.
00:07:22.880 So I'm going to say right now, I don't buy it.
00:07:24.800 I don't buy what Yole Roth is saying.
00:07:26.420 I think he's, this dude is backpedaling.
00:07:28.460 I think he's in complete, um, cover your Yole mode right now.
00:07:33.560 And he's doing anything he can to get, get, you know, get the eye of Sauron off of him
00:07:39.380 and put it on somebody else because he really, look, we were never supposed to know.
00:07:43.760 We were, Elon was never supposed to buy this company.
00:07:46.100 We were never supposed to get these documents.
00:07:47.600 We were never supposed to get these files.
00:07:49.060 We're going to be back this.
00:07:50.220 We're doing an entire show about this situation today.
00:07:52.800 We're going to come right back next segment, Libby Emmons.
00:07:55.220 But first I want to tell you guys, look, we're going to the Christmas season right now.
00:07:58.380 I target pro every single day.
00:08:00.880 We see in the news, a new story about someone who was the victim of a violent crime.
00:08:05.500 Some of you think that you're ready to defend yourself against evil.
00:08:09.240 And the truth is you may not be.
00:08:11.540 That's only possible if you train and train often.
00:08:15.680 And also, does it mean, are your friends ready?
00:08:17.820 Are your family members ready?
00:08:19.140 Think about that.
00:08:20.360 But with inflation causing the price of ammo to skyrocket, along with gas,
00:08:24.540 getting to the range isn't as easy or affordable as it used to be.
00:08:27.940 What we need to do now is that thankfully, there's a better way to train with your firearm
00:08:34.000 in the comfort and privacy of your own home.
00:08:36.180 It's called the iTarget Pro system.
00:08:38.480 This is a revolutionary system.
00:08:40.240 I use it myself.
00:08:41.100 My father used it.
00:08:41.900 My mother uses it, believe it or not.
00:08:44.140 She's a gun owner.
00:08:45.320 Believe me.
00:08:45.720 My mom, you might think she's a sweetheart.
00:08:47.580 She's a gun owner.
00:08:49.040 Develops your muscle memory, reaction speed, sight alignment, trigger control, and more.
00:08:52.260 And even my mom knows this.
00:08:54.100 Even better, it costs less than a day at the range.
00:08:56.740 Right now, save 10% plus free shipping with promo code POSO when you go to iTargetPro.com.
00:09:04.360 It is such a good Christmas present.
00:09:06.020 When you get yours, you just download it.
00:09:07.440 They have an app.
00:09:08.680 You load the laser bullet into your firearm, and you start training.
00:09:12.140 iTarget comes in most calibers from 9mm all the way up to .223, so you can train with almost
00:09:17.340 any firearm.
00:09:18.620 This is the easiest and most cost-effective way to train, and it pays for itself literally
00:09:23.020 in a single day.
00:09:23.760 That's letter I, TargetPro.com, iTargetPro.com, promo code PUSO.
00:09:28.440 We're going to put the link in the description.
00:09:29.960 What subjects outside of Hunter Biden were subject to the most government-induced censorship?
00:09:37.180 As I said, you may not have heard my earlier comment, but I don't actually, like I said,
00:09:42.360 I've been, me personally, I've been working on getting Twitter to be healthy and fixing
00:09:46.400 the engine of engineering.
00:09:48.160 I've not been sort of poring over the Twitter files personally.
00:09:52.180 That's sort of been, you know, Matt Taiby is doing that, and Barry Weiss is going to do
00:09:55.300 it now as well.
00:09:55.860 So, anything I say would be somewhat of a, you know, guesswork, really.
00:10:02.040 But, you know, so, I don't know.
00:10:04.740 You know, there's obviously a lot of questions around Jan 6th.
00:10:09.200 There's questions around, you know, COVID.
00:10:12.160 There's a lot of questions.
00:10:13.480 But I think the important thing is that we just get, you know, bring daylight to all of
00:10:18.380 these things.
00:10:18.880 And so, anything that Twitter has done, and sometimes things, you know, a lot of times
00:10:23.640 Twitter's done things that were just, they were just, it wasn't malicious.
00:10:26.660 It was just foolish.
00:10:27.820 I wish there were a word.
00:10:29.480 I wish there were a word.
00:10:30.640 And Libby, you're a better wordsmith than me.
00:10:33.960 You know, I'm the Twitter guy.
00:10:35.340 You're, you know, you're the war, you know, the, you know, the craftsman there on the behind
00:10:39.960 the keys.
00:10:40.780 Is there a word for when a small group of powerful individuals joins with the secret police
00:10:47.560 force of a country to overthrow a sitting government and kick, in our case, a president out of,
00:10:55.360 if only there were something, like, it starts with a C.
00:10:57.920 I wonder what word that could be.
00:11:00.200 It's just, I know it's just a little word, just a little tiny word.
00:11:03.940 You know, it might be French.
00:11:04.880 And that's why it's not clicking with me in my Polish brain.
00:11:07.460 It's not clicking with me.
00:11:08.400 The French and the Polish.
00:11:09.560 It's definitely got a silent P.
00:11:11.460 We were French under Napoleon.
00:11:12.660 We were.
00:11:13.320 But, you know, that, you know, that obviously didn't turn out too well for Napoleon.
00:11:17.560 Yeah, there's a, there's definitely a word for that.
00:11:21.820 And so my question is, when you tie that with, and Elon is the one who brings up January 6th,
00:11:30.200 by the way, Elon is the one who brings up January 6th.
00:11:32.940 Doesn't this kind of change the way that we have to discuss January 6th or have to discuss
00:11:37.260 any of the events that followed the election?
00:11:39.060 And I saw President Trump at his, you know, had his tweet up talking about, you know, you
00:11:44.440 know, this allows for the, you know, the end of the rules of the, of the constitution.
00:11:48.680 And he was, he was, you know, if you see this, this man, what he calls fraud.
00:11:52.720 And, and, and my, my thing is, is that what I think he's trying to get at there is, is
00:11:59.460 pointing out that we really do have to change the way that we discuss all of these events.
00:12:04.400 Because when we go back, we have the Time Magazine article already that told us, and
00:12:09.540 then Sam Harris also, who told us that what he, Sam Harris's words, not mine, there was
00:12:14.720 a conspiracy to stop President Trump from being elected again, period, full stop.
00:12:20.060 What we're seeing now are just different pieces of that.
00:12:22.560 Here's a little bit.
00:12:23.100 They did it on purpose.
00:12:24.560 Here's the Twitter part, but it was all deliberate.
00:12:26.420 It was all deliberate.
00:12:26.800 And they were proud of it.
00:12:27.740 They did it on purpose, and they were proud of it.
00:12:31.180 Yeah.
00:12:31.780 And so now that we're looking at this, and we knew that this was all happening behind
00:12:36.180 the scenes, it was, it was, it seemed obvious.
00:12:39.520 And everyone told us, no, do not believe your eyes and your ears.
00:12:43.080 Do not believe your senses.
00:12:45.000 Believe what we are telling you instead.
00:12:46.840 You know, just like 1984, which Musk also referenced on the stream.
00:12:51.220 And now we're seeing this evidence come out.
00:12:54.040 And I wonder if it's just going to be the way that, you know, what happened after the
00:12:59.020 Russia collusion hoax was revealed, and you still have leftist journalists saying, well,
00:13:05.240 Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the election in 2016.
00:13:09.020 And you're like, no, that didn't happen.
00:13:10.980 That has been proven false.
00:13:12.720 And you still have people saying, you know, the Hunter Biden laptop story isn't real, that
00:13:18.180 there was no influence peddling, that there was no collusion, that there was no
00:13:23.460 you know, backroom communication between tech companies.
00:13:28.220 And here it is.
00:13:28.840 Here it is.
00:13:29.340 It's clear that this is what happened.
00:13:31.200 We clearly can't overturn the results of the 2020 election, but we have to keep our eyes
00:13:36.500 open and be way more vigilant and stop accepting people just lying to our faith.
00:13:41.920 Well, we need accountability.
00:13:42.980 We absolutely need accountability, whether that's the scalps, obviously, but subpoenas,
00:13:48.600 obviously indictments, obviously were necessary.
00:13:51.160 Huge investigation.
00:13:51.920 Huge systems put in place.
00:13:53.620 I mean, this, this, I'd love to see a select committee on this, but, but here, let's go
00:13:58.260 back to the wordsmithing, right?
00:14:00.020 Because election denier was what they came up with.
00:14:04.440 And that's what they called all the Jan 6 detainees, all those people that are being
00:14:07.420 held for the, by the way, I love the people who are so, so, so concerned about the constitution
00:14:12.180 that never said a word when Joe Biden was locking up protesters without trial.
00:14:16.620 When Joe Biden was forcing members of our military to take an experimental jab, right?
00:14:21.900 Then no issue with no constitutional, you know, worries or qualms then, but Trump posts,
00:14:26.120 you know, a tweet or a truth and suddenly everybody loses their minds.
00:14:29.840 But you have Biden saying repeatedly that not, that amendments are not absolute.
00:14:34.880 He just keeps saying that.
00:14:36.460 It's ridiculous.
00:14:37.680 It's insane.
00:14:39.380 It's not accurate.
00:14:40.660 Let's go back to that phrase, election denier.
00:14:42.820 They called you an election denier.
00:14:46.540 Well, they denied you a fair election.
00:14:50.160 The same people who called you an election denier are the ones who denied you an election.
00:14:57.400 Think about that.
00:14:58.840 They called you and accused you of doing that, which they did themselves.
00:15:05.040 That's what we had happen in 2020.
00:15:07.580 And now we've got the receipts and this is a big piece.
00:15:09.720 And I said this on Friday.
00:15:10.660 I'll say it again today.
00:15:12.280 Why does smoking guns matter?
00:15:14.220 Smoking guns matter because it doesn't matter what you know.
00:15:17.360 It's not what you know.
00:15:18.220 It's what you can prove in court.
00:15:19.940 It's what you can prove in court.
00:15:21.240 And now we can take all of this and put it in court.
00:15:23.080 Libby Emmons, last, last word, last word for you.
00:15:25.840 I'm just, I'm, I'm speechless.
00:15:27.420 I'm speechless on this one.
00:15:30.060 Yeah.
00:15:30.480 I think that this is, it, it, it, I was, ah, I was shocked by the revelations,
00:15:36.720 revelations, even though I believed that they had been true all along.
00:15:40.480 It was simply stunning.
00:15:42.680 It was simply stunning to have all of this time be insulted, be derided, your intelligence,
00:15:49.220 demeaned, be lied to by the Biden administration.
00:15:53.120 It turns out they were in it from the beginning.
00:15:55.600 They were in it from before the election.
00:15:57.740 They were colluding with tech companies and tech companies were just going along and doing
00:16:02.960 their bidding.
00:16:03.940 And when Elon Musk was asked about how this could happen at Twitter, he was like, you
00:16:07.860 know, the, the Twitter staff, they really just have San Francisco politics.
00:16:12.700 They believed the bias.
00:16:14.720 They just believed the bias.
00:16:16.380 They never questioned anything.
00:16:18.180 What I would say to Elon is release all the files.
00:16:20.820 This should be like, it should be like the East German Stasi after the fall of East Germany
00:16:26.440 and the reunification.
00:16:27.720 Just put it all out there.
00:16:28.620 When you request your file, you could go in and request your file, right?
00:16:32.300 From the German commissars.
00:16:33.800 That's what you should be able to do now.
00:16:35.500 You know, a lot of people complain about the state of our country or the way woke corporations
00:16:38.920 treat us and their employees, but it's not enough to complain.
00:16:42.080 We need to change the way the marketplace works.
00:16:44.640 And that starts with you and where you spend your money.
00:16:47.600 In less than a year, Public Square has grown to be the largest platform of patriotic, freedom
00:16:52.380 loving businesses the world has ever seen.
00:16:54.020 Whether you want to support a restaurant that only buys from local farms, a coffee shop
00:16:58.100 that took a stand against COVID mandates, or a bank that would never cancel you for your
00:17:02.180 political views, Public Square is your guide.
00:17:04.900 They are the homepage of the parallel economy.
00:17:07.760 There's also an interactive, sensor-free community group where you can connect with other

00:17:13.500 You can do whatever you want on there.
00:17:14.800 Here's the best part.
00:17:15.740 It's absolutely free to join.

00:17:34.260 dollars.
00:17:35.160 Begin your search at Public Square today.
00:17:37.140 PublicSQ.com.
00:17:38.160 That's publicsq.com.
00:17:41.400 Are you concerned about the moves towards central bank digital currencies?
00:17:44.960 I don't think they know what they're talking about.
00:17:52.100 No, not really.
00:17:54.120 A lot of people have theorized that FTX and the fallout there was a ploy to push us toward
00:17:59.940 that centralization and the digital dollar.
00:18:02.600 It's falling flat in its face now.
00:18:05.700 Correct.
00:18:06.020 Well, I think they're complaining a few things.
00:18:09.660 First of all, almost all money is digital already.
00:18:14.500 The fiat monetary system, for practical purposes, consists of a series of heterogeneous mainframes
00:18:20.180 running antiquated COBOL.
00:18:22.580 That's the actual money system, by the way.
00:18:24.760 It's kind of embarrassing.
00:18:25.680 It's not like some rickety mainframes running ancient COBOL and running and doing everything
00:18:33.360 in batch mode.
00:18:35.600 That's the actual monetary system.
00:18:36.980 The fiat monetary system.
00:18:38.020 So this is another one of those examples.
00:18:39.780 And Libby, we were talking about this on Friday, about transhumanism and about this is
00:18:44.740 Elon Musk.
00:18:46.180 And he's saying, oh, just put a skull chip in your brain.
00:18:49.440 And it's only a small piece of skull, really.
00:18:52.380 I mean, you probably wouldn't even miss it.
00:18:54.340 And you replace it with a Fitbit and everything will be fine.
00:18:57.360 And the same deal talking about how we really just should move to central bank digital currency
00:19:03.180 and that's going to be great.
00:19:04.640 And all it is, is we're just replacing outdated systems with new systems.
00:19:09.560 And I get the argument, by the way, saying that we kind of already have digital currency
00:19:14.140 in the sense that most money is electronic in the United States.
00:19:17.840 My son, the only time I think he actually sees physical money is if my dad has like a gumball
00:19:24.140 machine at his house or M&M machine, and then he gives him a quarter if he does something
00:19:28.460 good and then he can go get some some M&Ms from it.
00:19:30.920 But it's again, it's, you know, one of the only times or the only time he sees paper money
00:19:34.220 is when we're at the at church and we go to the collection plate.
00:19:37.280 But Libby, you know, we really should just trust these, you know, these billionaires,
00:19:42.780 shouldn't we?
00:19:43.280 I mean, you know, he seems like he's doing all the right things on the Hunter Biden, you
00:19:46.760 know, laptop case.
00:19:47.660 So we should just just blindly trust billionaires.
00:19:50.060 Is that right?
00:19:51.380 No, that's absolutely incorrect.
00:19:53.240 We should not just blindly trust rich people who want to lead the world and do their bidding
00:19:58.380 with humanity.
00:19:59.760 Elon Musk is a fascinating figure.
00:20:01.600 He's incredibly wealthy.
00:20:02.540 He's at the forefront of some of the most consequential technologies in in human history.
00:20:09.860 Uh, consumer space flight, um, self-driving cars, um, you know, Twitter, for example, and
00:20:19.260 the other thing that he's doing, what's the other thing?
00:20:21.320 Oh, Neuralink.
00:20:21.960 Of course.
00:20:22.540 Yeah.
00:20:23.040 Yeah.
00:20:23.760 AI human interface.
00:20:25.180 Um, he's at the forefront of these things.
00:20:27.000 And just because he is there does not mean that his ideas should not be questioned.
00:20:31.540 Just because he does seem to have free speech at, at, to heart as, as the main function
00:20:38.420 of Twitter doesn't mean that self-driving cars are a great idea.
00:20:42.460 It doesn't mean that, um, Neuralink is a great idea and under no circumstances should
00:20:47.380 human beings give up their autonomy and individual independence to do the bidding of billionaires
00:20:53.400 who want us to be more comfortable by just being lumps of flesh, interconnected, unable
00:20:59.200 to distinguish our thoughts from anyone else's or from the persistent, incessant data streams
00:21:05.580 of propaganda and advertising that will likely come through that Fitbit in the quarter-sized
00:21:10.540 hole in your head.
00:21:11.660 See, I, for one, think that life will be much easier and simpler when we assimilate to the
00:21:16.540 Borg.
00:21:17.500 Um, you know, I mean, some of us might, might be lost in our, our battles with the Federation,
00:21:23.260 but if there's anything that science fiction movies and Ridley Scott and 30 years of watching
00:21:29.100 them have taught me, it's that we should definitely always trust the international multi-billionaire
00:21:36.060 with the advanced technology, because if there's anything they've got at, you know, really the
00:21:41.300 front of their mind, it's the wellbeing of the, of the people.
00:21:44.520 It's, it's really all about the people.
00:21:46.520 It's certainly never, and by the way, like, I don't mean to be like blow up Elon Musk or
00:21:50.840 something, but at the same time, it's like, there's, there's something there where I see
00:21:55.320 people going, Oh, everything he does is great because he does one thing greater.
00:21:59.260 He does two things that are really good, but as well, there's also things that I'm sorry.
00:22:03.680 And, you know, I'm, I'm going to pause, to pause and step back and say, yo, wait, wait
00:22:07.700 a minute.
00:22:08.060 You know, I I'm not cool with this because I don't want the quarter-sized hole in my brain.
00:22:11.680 I'm good.
00:22:12.000 This is where we need Gen Xers to step in and say, question authority, question anyone who
00:22:18.080 seeks to lead you question anyone who tells you they know what's best for you.
00:22:22.220 Gen X is a generation that had our parents tell us a whole bunch of stuff was good for
00:22:26.960 us that it turned out was total trash.
00:22:29.580 You know, real quick though, real quick.
00:22:31.260 Have you noticed something about millennials and zoomers that they don't question very much
00:22:35.420 just in general, they really don't.
00:22:37.840 They don't question very much because they've been handed everything.
00:22:40.960 They've been handed all of the information and they don't question it because it came easy.
00:22:44.940 I remember going to the library and I got to say, I miss the actual card catalog.
00:22:50.560 I love the Dewey Decimal System.
00:22:53.100 I was perfectly happy with that.
00:22:56.020 Yes.
00:22:56.480 And you could go dig through the stacks.
00:22:58.940 You can't even dig through the stacks of college libraries anymore.
00:23:02.520 Even when I was at Columbia several years ago, that was all shifting and you had to like
00:23:06.680 go request a book.
00:23:08.040 I don't want to request a book.
00:23:09.200 I want to go dig through the stacks and find what I'm looking for and find the thing that's
00:23:12.640 obscured from me.
00:23:14.380 That's what I want.
00:23:15.400 And it's time.
00:23:16.020 We need to question these people.
00:23:17.340 We need to demand accountability.
00:23:18.740 We need to keep our eyes open and remember that we are individual human beings and that
00:23:23.220 matters.
00:23:24.520 A hundred percent.
00:23:25.180 And by the way, you always see this in movies, right?
00:23:27.460 You know, where someone's trying to uncover the secret connection between two powerful
00:23:32.260 families and that's how they can discover who the murderer was.
00:23:36.140 And they're in the old town library and they're on the microfiche and everything.
00:23:42.740 And this is something that's celebrated.
00:23:44.860 And I think there's something to be said for that.
00:23:46.340 But at the same time, like, like, bro, you, you know, and this is why I say the true
00:23:50.380 crime community is cancer.
00:23:51.520 And I'm going to keep saying it.
00:23:52.520 I will, because you hanging out on Google and like looking up different things, that
00:23:58.280 ain't the same thing as running an investigation.
00:24:00.500 I'm sorry.
00:24:01.080 It's just not.
00:24:01.400 No, you got to go dig.
00:24:02.500 Like, also in terms of, uh, in terms of Star Trek and the Federation, this is why Captain
00:24:07.040 Sisko is my favorite questions.
00:24:09.020 Everything.
00:24:10.020 Oh, he's the best one.
00:24:11.280 He's the best.
00:24:12.000 He's the most American captain as well.
00:24:14.100 And so you got to give him huge props for that.
00:24:16.620 He's also the only one.
00:24:17.580 So like Picard would have been court-martialed.
00:24:20.200 Shatner obviously would have been, you know, uh, uh, uh, Kirk obviously would have been
00:24:24.540 court-martialed.
00:24:25.520 Like, come on, that's obvious, you know, for fraternization and like a million other things.
00:24:29.280 Picard.
00:24:29.500 No, of course, the insubordination number Janeway, I mean, that's just failure to perform.
00:24:33.640 So you'd have to fire her.
00:24:35.140 Um, oh, oh, there's a, there's a small problem with a, with an engine.
00:24:39.440 Everyone evacuate the ship, you know, uh, you know, the Janeway solution.
00:24:43.340 Cisco, Cisco is the only one who says, how about we stand and fight?
00:24:47.240 How about, how about we take a stand for our principles and our dignity and our independence
00:24:54.320 and our individuality.
00:24:56.320 Amen.
00:24:56.700 Yeah.
00:24:56.980 I love, I love him so much.
00:24:58.360 He's my favorite.
00:24:59.500 Cisco also, by the way, in, in, in another, uh, uh, I don't know if it's a canceled film
00:25:05.920 or, or what yet, but American history X, he's the principal.
00:25:09.220 Yeah.
00:25:09.840 Avery Brooks is an American treasure.
00:25:12.200 I think he's, I had a, uh, I had a, I had a buddy in the Navy who took a class with Avery
00:25:16.660 Brooks when he talks, talked to taught at Rutgers.
00:25:18.680 And he's like, he was like, he was like, he was like the hardest, harshest, strictest,
00:25:24.200 like not fun, you know, kind of professor ever, ever.
00:25:29.020 Libby Emmons, now that we've lost half the audience, uh, give us your coordinates.
00:25:32.560 We've got to, we're out of time.
00:25:34.440 At Libby Emmons on Twitter and the postmillennial.com.
00:25:38.580 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission.
00:25:40.720 Lay ashore.
00:25:41.620 Lay ashore.
00:25:47.440 Lay ashore.
00:25:48.860 Lay ashore.
00:25:55.260 Lay ashore.

00:26:00.820 Lay ashore.
00:26:01.980 Lay ashore.
