Human Events Daily with Jack Posobiec - EPISODE 389： HUMAN EVENTS SPECIAL - OPERATION NORDSTREAM

00:00:00.000 Folks, today we've got a bombshell about a bombshell. Today is a Human Events special

00:00:06.160 episode all about Operation Nord Stream. The clandestine operation to destroy the Nord Stream

00:00:16.580 pipelines in the Baltic Sea. We are going to dive into it, pun completely intended,

00:00:24.200 for the entire show today. I want to also make sure that you are signed up for the POSO Daily Brief.

00:00:30.820 That's humanevents.com slash POSO. Sign up for the POSO Daily Brief. Read what I read. You will get

00:00:35.860 full access to it completely for free at humanevents.com slash POSO. Let's get into it.

00:00:41.920 Let me answer the first question first. If Germany — if Russia invades, that means tanks or troops

00:01:00.140 crossing the border of Ukraine again, then there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We will bring

00:01:11.840 an end to it. How will you do that exactly, since the project and control of the project is within

00:01:23.260 Germany's control? We will — I promise you, we'll be able to do it. If Russia invades Ukraine, 0.95

00:01:30.780 one way or another, Nord Stream 2, will not move forward.

00:01:38.660 John? How can you say that for sure? Where does your confidence come from on that?

00:01:44.700 As I said, we've had extensive consultations at every level with our German allies. I'm not going

00:01:51.980 to get into the specifics here today, but we will work with Germany to ensure that the pipeline does

00:01:57.460 not move forward. The situation today looks fundamentally different, and that means that

00:02:03.580 with regard to the latest developments, we need to reassess the situation also with regard to Nord Stream 2.

00:02:11.240 I have asked the Federal Ministry of Economics to look at the — to withdraw the report on the

00:02:19.500 security of supply with the Federal Networks Agency. It sounds a bit technocratic, but this is the first

00:02:25.840 necessary step to make sure that this pipeline cannot be certified at this point in time. And without

00:02:30.700 this certification, Nord Stream 2 cannot operate. Senator Cruz, like you, I am — and I think the

00:02:39.020 administration is very gratified to know that Nord Stream 2 is now, as you like to say, a hunk of metal at

00:02:44.340 the bottom of the sea. Operation Nord Stream 2. Operation Nord Stream. The most mysterious whodunit in

00:02:58.240 geopolitics in modern history. Or is it? Because when this happened back in September of 2022, there

00:03:11.060 were a lot of people pointing fingers. There were people pointing fingers all over the place.

00:03:16.500 Was it Moscow? Was it Washington? Was it Berlin? Was it Ukrainians, somehow, that made their way into the 1.00

00:03:25.060 Baltic and conducted this international act? Today, Seymour Hersh came out with a bombshell report.

00:03:34.020 Now, Seymour Hersh, he's former New York Times, former New Yorker. He is the man that broke the MyLine

00:03:43.820 Massacre, the Abu Ghraib scandal, Pulitzer Prize winning. This is a guy that the left can't ignore.

00:03:54.900 But the problem for them is that he's a member of the old left. He's not going along with the new stuff.

00:04:03.700 He remembers the idea behind what actual journalism is. Actual journalism means reporting the things

00:04:15.060 that the people in power don't want you to report. Seymour Hersh has come out today

00:04:22.420 based on his reporting, based on sources that have reached out to him, that state unequivocally,

00:04:34.020 the United States blew up the Russia to Germany natural gas pipeline as part of a covert operation

00:04:41.460 under the guise of the Baltops 22 NATO exercise. The exercise that was taking place in the Baltic during

00:04:48.500 the summer of 2022. Now, Hersh goes on to explain how this was done in great detail.

00:04:58.100 Remember, we told you there will be wars and there will be rumors of war.

00:05:06.900 Another good one is never believe anything until it's been officially denied.

00:05:13.060 Now, you can call this a lot of things. You can call this a covert operation, clandestine act.

00:05:22.340 You can call it economic terrorism. You can call it espionage. I'm just going to call it what it is.

00:05:31.780 This was an act of war. This was a false flag act of war against a country that America is not at war with.

00:05:41.860 Unless you consider the fact that NATO and the United States are clearly in a hot proxy war with Russia

00:05:55.140 on the territory of Ukraine. But if you go back to what we said here on this program,

00:06:00.980 on Human Events Daily, and have made known in my appearances on War Room,

00:06:04.580 it ain't just about who benefits. It's about who suffers.

00:06:12.020 Qui bono, qui malo? Qui bono, qui malo? Who benefits, who suffers?

00:06:21.780 And when we look at this case, who benefits from the destruction of Nord Stream 2?

00:06:27.780 Because I can guarantee you, it ain't the Russians, and it certainly ain't the Germans. 0.94

00:06:34.580 It's the Americans. American LNG exports to Europe have gone up exponentially since this war began,

00:06:45.060 and we're coming up on the one-year anniversary.

00:06:47.220 American exports of LNG. That means money in the pockets of American companies.

00:06:58.020 It also means a complete shutdown of any economic relationship, any deals between Germany and Russia.

00:07:08.660 This had been their goal for over a decade with this pipeline.

00:07:13.620 They had been getting the cheap gas from Russia, and they'd been using it to try to revitalize the German manufacturing base.

00:07:22.580 Germany's always been a manufacturing country.

00:07:24.820 This was their way to try to gain more autonomy and gain more power and actually do something to rebuild their country.

00:07:35.060 Now, all of that lies at the bottom of the Baltic.

00:07:40.260 And as Victoria Nuland said, she feels gratitude.

00:07:48.180 She feels happy that this happened.

00:07:51.660 And we remember, of course, the President Biden and Victoria Nuland herself told us this.

00:07:58.340 They told us in no uncertain terms that this would happen.

00:08:02.980 They even said it before the war began.

00:08:07.540 Go back and look at the timing of this.

00:08:10.900 They told you before the war began that Nord Stream 2 would be taken out.

00:08:18.260 That project will end, said President Biden.

00:08:23.620 And he didn't seem to equivocate there.

00:08:25.460 He didn't seem to stammer.

00:08:27.260 He didn't mix up his words.

00:08:28.780 He wasn't in the mumble tank.

00:08:30.300 He knew exactly what he was saying.

00:08:33.260 And I think everybody listening to it knew exactly what he was saying.

00:08:37.540 That U.S. military and U.S. intelligence assets would commit to a clandestine act to take out that pipeline.

00:08:47.500 Well, on this special, we're going to explain to you exactly how they did it.

00:08:51.500 Stay tuned.

00:08:51.940 Operation Ivy Bells challenged the U.S. Navy to use top-of-the-line technology in order to wiretap underwater communication cables, found within the USSR's territorial waters.

00:09:05.380 The innovative USS Halibut submarine took divers on a mission so secret that most of the crew involved were not told the truth about what they were doing.

00:09:15.020 The U.S. collected over 10 years of valuable recordings until an American veteran betrayed his country for $35,000 from the KGB.

00:09:22.940 USS Halibut.

00:09:25.020 Operation Ivy Bells.

00:09:26.280 So, in my very first week in Navy intelligence, they told me, don't do something.

00:09:33.360 Why did they tell you not to do something on your very first week?

00:09:36.180 Well, here's what I mean by that.

00:09:38.860 They said, you better not read the book Blind Man's Bluff by Sherry Sontag.

00:09:45.020 Definitely don't read the book Blind Man's Bluff by Sherry Sontag because that book, Blind Man's Bluff by Sherry Sontag, details various leaked classified operations of the United States Navy throughout the Cold War.

00:10:01.060 And so you definitely better not go out today, march immediately to your bookstore, and pick up a copy of Blind Man's Bluff by Sherry Sontag.

00:10:09.280 So, of course, I read the entire thing, cover to cover.

00:10:13.540 And Operation Ivy Bells was a huge part of this.

00:10:16.080 This was an operation that only was ended because of a traitor in the late 1980s, but it had existed for about, or I guess, 85.

00:10:26.900 It existed for a decade.

00:10:29.460 The United States Navy, using specialized divers and specialized submarine equipment, a sub that was converted, called the USS Halibut, for deep-sea diving,

00:10:39.280 that was actually adapted to be able to sit.

00:10:43.040 It had essentially skids placed on the bottom of it, sort of like the skids on a helicopter,

00:10:48.620 so that it could actually park itself on the bottom of the ocean floor.

00:10:54.320 Divers would then be able to emerge using a special capsule, head out, and wiretap a Russian undersea cable,

00:11:02.280 so that they could steal and listen to upstream communications between members of the Russian Navy,

00:11:11.560 high elites that were completely unencrypted.

00:11:14.020 Because, again, this is upstream communication.

00:11:16.460 They had no idea that the U.S. would ever be able to tap into this.

00:11:20.940 And, in fact, the crew of the submarine was even given a cover story.

00:11:26.360 Only certain members, this was so top-secret and compartmentalized, which is what the C in S-C-I stands for,

00:11:33.880 Sensitive Compartmentalized Information.

00:11:36.300 It was so compartmentalized that hardly anyone on the ship, other than the CO, the XO, and the actual team involved,

00:11:43.660 knew what the true mission was.

00:11:48.740 That operation is very similar to what we saw happen here, to this covert operation,

00:11:54.080 where we don't have the name of it at this point, so we're just going to have to call it Operation Nord Stream.

00:11:59.700 That a working group comprised of members of the Biden administration, Victoria Newland, Jake Sullivan, Tony Blinken.

00:12:08.980 Now, remember, of the three members of the Biden administration,

00:12:16.460 when we talk about geopolitics, when we talk about foreign relations,

00:12:20.180 when I talk about the Biden administration in general,

00:12:22.620 those three are the ones we focus on the most.

00:12:27.480 The fourth would be Ron Klain, but his international portfolio is nowhere near as strong as theirs.

00:12:32.680 Remember, Jake Sullivan and Victoria Newland were deeply involved in Russiagate.

00:12:36.760 They were deeply involved in Maidan.

00:12:39.460 They were deeply involved in all of these things, going back to the prior administration.

00:12:45.640 Going back to when Barack Obama was in office as president, and Joe Biden was his VP.

00:12:52.620 This has been an agenda that's been going on far longer than Joe Biden's been in office,

00:12:57.680 and honestly, it takes place kind of without him.

00:13:02.820 So this was the plan.

00:13:04.100 If they couldn't stop Nord Stream by putting leverage on the Germans, 0.83

00:13:10.720 then they would stop it by other means.

00:13:14.920 And that's exactly what happened here.

00:13:17.560 So they had to find a place to launch from.

00:13:21.540 So they had to find a working partner.

00:13:23.220 Who did they go to?

00:13:24.680 Well, it turned out,

00:13:26.440 and we're going to do the map break here to explain this all to everybody,

00:13:29.080 exactly where this took place in terms of the Baltic.

00:13:32.740 1,500 miles long, this pipeline.

00:13:36.800 So how, excuse me, 300 kilometers.

00:13:39.380 So how would they be able to get to it without the Russians noticing? 0.89

00:13:46.540 They worked with a local partner in Scandinavian countries,

00:13:50.700 none other than Norway, according to Seymour Hersh.

00:13:54.540 Funny enough,

00:13:55.500 the current commander of NATO,

00:14:01.300 Jen Stoltenberg,

00:14:02.120 is the former prime minister of Norway,

00:14:04.920 and someone who is extremely close to Washington, D.C.

00:14:10.660 Funny how that works.

00:14:12.520 So,

00:14:13.700 Hersh states,

00:14:14.220 the Americans provided one vital element.

00:14:18.140 They convinced the six fleet planners

00:14:20.400 to add a research and development exercise program

00:14:23.320 to Balt Ops 22.

00:14:25.460 This is an exercise that's held in the Baltic Sea

00:14:27.760 in the middle of summer 2022,

00:14:29.880 and they realized that this would be the perfect cover.

00:14:33.480 The exercise,

00:14:34.720 as made public by the Navy,

00:14:37.120 involved the Sixth Fleet in collaboration

00:14:39.000 with the Navy's, quote,

00:14:40.180 research and warfare centers,

00:14:42.580 an at-sea event,

00:14:44.220 that would be held off the coast

00:14:46.000 of Bornholm Island, Denmark.

00:14:49.660 Very, very close

00:14:52.000 to where the final explosions would take place

00:14:54.700 just a few months later.

00:14:56.520 It would involve NATO teams of divers

00:14:59.000 planting mines

00:15:00.440 with competing teams

00:15:02.380 using the latest underwater technology

00:15:05.200 to find and destroy them.

00:15:06.460 So they devised an exercise

00:15:08.500 that actually included

00:15:10.860 the planting of mines.

00:15:12.780 But one of those teams

00:15:14.900 wasn't just planting mines

00:15:17.040 for an exercise.

00:15:18.340 One of those teams

00:15:19.700 was planting real mines,

00:15:22.420 which were later

00:15:23.400 remotely detonated

00:15:25.320 on orders

00:15:26.640 from the White House.

00:15:27.800 At that point,

00:15:31.760 the seafloor is only 260 feet deep.

00:15:34.400 This was absolutely

00:15:35.580 an operation

00:15:36.400 that was possible

00:15:37.520 for a U.S. Navy special ops team.

00:15:40.460 And because they kept it within the Navy,

00:15:43.400 they found a way

00:15:44.480 to use a loophole

00:15:46.480 to not brief

00:15:47.480 the Gang of Eight,

00:15:48.680 not brief Congress

00:15:49.700 about what was going on.

00:15:52.000 Now, folks,

00:15:54.860 I got to explain

00:15:55.380 that every single day

00:15:56.300 you see a news story

00:15:57.640 in the news

00:15:58.020 about someone

00:15:58.500 who was the victim

00:15:59.060 of a violent crime.

00:16:00.360 Some of you think

00:16:00.960 you're ready

00:16:01.320 to defend yourself

00:16:02.100 against evil,

00:16:02.680 and the truth is

00:16:03.160 you're probably not.

00:16:04.260 That is only possible

00:16:05.240 if you train

00:16:05.780 and train often,

00:16:06.540 but with inflation

00:16:07.260 causing the price of ammo

00:16:08.360 to skyrocket

00:16:09.060 along with gas,

00:16:09.960 getting to the range

00:16:10.660 isn't as easy

00:16:11.400 or as affordable

00:16:12.060 as it used to be.

00:16:12.980 Thankfully,

00:16:13.280 there is a better way

00:16:14.040 to train with your firearm

00:16:15.380 in the comfort

00:16:16.240 and privacy of your own home.

00:16:17.520 It's called

00:16:17.760 iTarget Pro.

00:16:19.700 This revolutionary system

00:16:20.880 develops muscle memory,

00:16:21.960 reaction speed,

00:16:22.940 sight alignment,

00:16:23.600 trigger control,

00:16:24.280 and more.

00:16:25.100 Even better,

00:16:26.080 it costs less

00:16:26.700 than a day at the range.

00:16:27.600 Right now,

00:16:43.360 This is the easiest

00:16:53.340 Then this brings us

00:16:54.480 to the question

00:16:55.000 of whether we can succeed

00:16:56.080 or not.

00:16:57.040 My argument is

00:16:57.880 you're playing

00:16:58.280 a losing hand.

00:17:00.340 And the reason

00:17:01.200 you're playing

00:17:01.640 a losing hand

00:17:02.480 is because

00:17:04.060 this is a competition

00:17:05.620 between economic considerations

00:17:07.380 and security considerations.

00:17:09.280 The basic mindset

00:17:10.540 of people in the West

00:17:11.680 is that you can

00:17:12.900 punish the Russians 1.00

00:17:14.480 economically, 0.97

00:17:15.800 and they'll throw

00:17:16.440 their hands up.

00:17:17.940 My argument is

00:17:19.060 when security considerations

00:17:20.800 are at stake,

00:17:21.860 when core strategic interests

00:17:23.300 are at stake,

00:17:24.220 and there's no question,

00:17:25.460 ladies and gentlemen,

00:17:26.200 in Russia's case,

00:17:27.060 this is a core strategic interest.

00:17:29.040 Countries will suffer

00:17:30.060 enormously

00:17:31.100 before they throw

00:17:32.160 their hands up.

00:17:33.600 So you can inflict

00:17:34.680 a lot of pain 0.80

00:17:35.560 on the Russians,

00:17:36.520 and they're not going to quit.

00:17:37.820 And they're not going to quit

00:17:38.740 because Ukraine matters to them.

00:17:40.460 And by the way,

00:17:41.100 Ukraine doesn't matter to us.

00:17:42.940 You understand

00:17:43.420 there's nobody calling

00:17:44.640 for us to fight in Ukraine.

00:17:46.300 Even John McCain,

00:17:47.480 who up until recently

00:17:48.320 has never seen a war

00:17:49.520 he didn't want to fight,

00:17:51.620 is not calling

00:17:53.560 for using military force

00:17:55.100 in Ukraine.

00:17:56.880 What John McCain is saying

00:17:58.480 is that Ukraine

00:18:00.120 is not a vital strategic interest

00:18:01.920 for the West.

00:18:02.760 That's what he's saying.

00:18:04.120 It is a vital strategic interest

00:18:05.960 for the Russians.

00:18:06.700 They've made that perfectly clear.

00:18:08.440 And not just Putin.

00:18:10.420 Right?

00:18:11.120 So in terms of

00:18:11.940 the balance of resolve,

00:18:13.260 it's all on their side.

00:18:14.340 And I showed you

00:18:15.200 that slide up there

00:18:16.140 that depicted

00:18:17.600 how much economic leverage

00:18:19.240 the Russians have 0.91

00:18:20.140 because of all that

00:18:20.800 natural gas

00:18:21.700 going westward.

00:18:24.500 We're playing

00:18:25.320 a losing hand here.

00:18:26.960 But let's assume

00:18:28.000 that I'm wrong.

00:18:29.500 Let's assume

00:18:30.220 that we're playing

00:18:31.360 a winning hand

00:18:32.100 and that we are capable

00:18:34.640 of backing Putin

00:18:36.380 into a corner.

00:18:38.240 And we're getting close

00:18:39.760 to pushing him

00:18:40.420 off a cliff.

00:18:41.820 Is this good?

00:18:43.380 You're talking about

00:18:44.120 a country that's got

00:18:44.880 thousands of nuclear weapons.

00:18:47.340 And the only circumstance

00:18:49.200 really under which

00:18:50.320 states use nuclear weapons

00:18:51.600 is when they're desperate.

00:18:53.380 When they think

00:18:54.240 their survival is at stake.

00:18:56.380 So what you're talking about

00:18:58.020 is putting Putin

00:18:59.240 in a situation

00:19:00.340 where he's desperate.

00:19:01.860 We have to understand

00:19:02.940 the geopolitical implications

00:19:04.160 of this.

00:19:05.920 I've said it so many times

00:19:07.500 here on the program.

00:19:08.620 The French have a phrase

00:19:12.820 whenever there's a murder.

00:19:15.160 Cherchez la femme. 0.96

00:19:17.220 Well, the phrase

00:19:18.020 when you want to understand

00:19:19.820 geopolitics,

00:19:22.240 Cherchez la petrol.

00:19:24.520 Don't look for the woman. 0.94

00:19:27.220 Look for the oil.

00:19:28.780 Look for the gas.

00:19:29.760 And it goes beyond that

00:19:34.080 because we have to understand

00:19:35.340 it's not just

00:19:37.960 American

00:19:39.560 energy and petroleum

00:19:43.860 and LNG 0.92

00:19:45.400 that's flowing

00:19:46.220 to Europe.

00:19:47.780 It's also

00:19:49.060 the specifics

00:19:50.520 of holding together

00:19:52.280 the NATO alliance

00:19:53.960 and maintaining

00:19:56.760 America's

00:19:57.880 position

00:19:58.940 in the world.

00:20:00.140 This global

00:20:01.500 hegemony,

00:20:02.500 the world police,

00:20:04.540 the global

00:20:05.380 reserve

00:20:06.420 currency,

00:20:07.820 which is backed

00:20:08.980 as I've argued

00:20:10.020 as I've argued

00:20:11.860 by

00:20:13.180 the petrodollar.

00:20:15.140 The idea

00:20:16.400 that the U.S. dollar

00:20:17.760 is essentially

00:20:20.940 backed up

00:20:21.940 by the sale

00:20:23.020 of oil

00:20:24.180 and LNG 0.92

00:20:24.900 products

00:20:25.460 around the world.

00:20:26.520 The fact

00:20:27.020 that our allies

00:20:28.140 conduct them

00:20:29.200 in U.S. backed

00:20:30.960 transactions,

00:20:31.740 U.S. currency

00:20:32.160 backed transactions.

00:20:33.760 And it really

00:20:34.660 is amazing.

00:20:36.360 It really

00:20:37.260 is amazing

00:20:37.900 the amount

00:20:39.160 of trouble

00:20:39.860 that the regime

00:20:41.400 is willing

00:20:42.100 to stir up

00:20:42.980 when the

00:20:43.680 petrodollar

00:20:44.360 is on the line.

00:20:46.320 Because suddenly

00:20:47.460 if China

00:20:50.340 becomes a bigger

00:20:51.080 trading partner,

00:20:51.920 one belt,

00:20:53.000 one road

00:20:53.620 becomes a better

00:20:54.340 trading position,

00:20:55.200 if the BRICS nations,

00:20:57.260 which obviously

00:20:57.760 includes Russia,

00:20:59.640 become

00:21:01.060 strategic players

00:21:02.300 in this,

00:21:03.300 then suddenly

00:21:04.860 some of these

00:21:06.700 countries

00:21:07.100 might start

00:21:07.620 thinking

00:21:08.140 that they

00:21:09.200 don't need

00:21:09.820 to

00:21:10.520 operate

00:21:11.820 using the

00:21:14.540 petrodollar

00:21:14.980 anymore.

00:21:16.580 They can dump

00:21:17.540 the dollar.

00:21:18.300 What do they need

00:21:18.900 the United States

00:21:19.560 for?

00:21:20.060 What do they

00:21:20.640 need any

00:21:21.100 of this

00:21:21.380 for?

00:21:23.500 Well,

00:21:23.980 the response

00:21:24.400 here is simple.

00:21:26.960 The United States

00:21:27.880 can't allow that,

00:21:28.780 right?

00:21:29.540 If you're someone

00:21:30.360 who supports

00:21:31.560 the regime,

00:21:32.660 if you're someone

00:21:33.180 who demands

00:21:34.780 that the globalist

00:21:36.500 American empire,

00:21:37.740 the GAE,

00:21:38.780 always succeed,

00:21:40.180 then you have to

00:21:41.320 push every

00:21:42.120 potential rival

00:21:43.380 into a corner,

00:21:44.460 just as Dr.

00:21:45.100 Mir Sharma

00:21:45.580 warned us.

00:21:46.260 And isn't

00:21:47.640 that

00:21:47.980 exactly

00:21:50.200 what's going

00:21:50.640 on?

00:21:50.880 And by the

00:21:51.160 way,

00:21:51.280 that video

00:21:51.760 from Dr.

00:21:52.280 Mir Sharma,

00:21:53.060 that's eight

00:21:53.780 years old.

00:21:55.940 You could have

00:21:56.600 given it today.

00:21:57.860 It sounds

00:21:58.620 like exactly

00:21:59.880 describing

00:22:00.920 what we're

00:22:01.700 seeing.

00:22:03.180 Look,

00:22:03.760 let me break

00:22:04.140 this down

00:22:04.460 really simply

00:22:04.900 for you.

00:22:05.980 Nord Stream

00:22:06.480 One

00:22:06.920 allowed the

00:22:08.480 Russians

00:22:08.820 to sell

00:22:09.700 Germany,

00:22:11.620 LNG,

00:22:13.120 for pennies

00:22:14.540 on the dollar

00:22:15.600 compared

00:22:16.560 to what

00:22:17.660 the United

00:22:18.340 States was

00:22:18.860 offering.

00:22:19.420 It also

00:22:20.200 allowed them

00:22:20.780 to completely

00:22:22.180 bypass

00:22:23.420 Ukraine and

00:22:24.480 the Ukrainian

00:22:24.900 pipelines they

00:22:25.580 didn't need

00:22:26.080 anymore.

00:22:27.100 And once it

00:22:28.160 looked like

00:22:28.980 Nord Stream 2

00:22:29.820 was about to

00:22:30.400 come online,

00:22:31.380 that was

00:22:32.020 something that

00:22:33.060 the regime

00:22:33.700 could not

00:22:35.020 allow.

00:22:36.780 But instead

00:22:37.620 of finding a

00:22:38.200 way to

00:22:38.920 peacefully deal

00:22:40.300 with these

00:22:40.840 powers,

00:22:41.800 we've decided

00:22:42.560 to back people

00:22:43.320 into a corner.

00:22:44.540 nuclear powers

00:22:46.300 into a corner

00:22:47.120 to engage

00:22:49.940 in kinetic

00:22:50.620 warfare,

00:22:52.560 covert operations,

00:22:55.240 proxy wars

00:22:56.020 to maintain

00:22:58.520 international

00:22:59.900 dominance,

00:23:00.520 or at least

00:23:01.540 hegemony over

00:23:02.540 Western and

00:23:03.840 Central Europe.

00:23:06.220 What are the

00:23:07.220 stakes,

00:23:07.920 you ask?

00:23:09.580 It goes far

00:23:10.820 beyond the

00:23:11.280 economic here,

00:23:12.060 far beyond

00:23:14.060 the

00:23:14.960 international

00:23:16.080 liberal order,

00:23:17.780 as Tony

00:23:18.080 Blinken would 1.00

00:23:18.520 put it.

00:23:21.380 Because this

00:23:22.440 isn't World

00:23:22.880 War II.

00:23:24.660 This isn't

00:23:25.460 the Empire

00:23:25.920 of Japan.

00:23:29.280 They're a

00:23:29.940 nuclear power.

00:23:31.300 They have the

00:23:32.120 ability to

00:23:32.640 respond.

00:23:33.100 And if

00:23:35.000 you think

00:23:35.280 if Seymour

00:23:35.720 Hirsch

00:23:36.020 can put

00:23:36.300 all this

00:23:36.540 together,

00:23:37.660 that the

00:23:38.380 Kremlin

00:23:38.660 can't put

00:23:39.080 this

00:23:39.220 together,

00:23:40.080 that Beijing

00:23:40.600 just can't

00:23:41.080 put all

00:23:41.380 this

00:23:41.520 together,

00:23:43.400 Beijing

00:23:43.880 that is

00:23:44.560 sending,

00:23:45.260 interestingly

00:23:45.760 enough,

00:23:47.680 spy balloons

00:23:48.400 over our

00:23:50.000 nuclear silos.

00:23:52.000 It's almost

00:23:52.740 as if

00:23:53.300 they know

00:23:54.860 something

00:23:55.920 is on the

00:23:56.860 table,

00:23:57.440 and they

00:23:58.040 want to

00:23:58.480 see what

00:23:59.420 our nuclear

00:24:00.000 silos are up

00:24:00.740 to.

00:24:00.940 Funny how

00:24:02.400 that works.

00:24:04.800 Folks,

00:24:05.620 I don't know

00:24:06.740 how else to

00:24:07.040 put this.

00:24:09.480 There are no

00:24:10.380 adults in the

00:24:10.960 room in

00:24:12.200 Washington,

00:24:12.720 D.C.

00:24:14.120 You have

00:24:14.980 zealots.

00:24:15.860 You have

00:24:16.580 absolute

00:24:17.120 zealots who 0.99

00:24:18.240 are hell 1.00

00:24:18.880 bent on

00:24:20.740 taking this

00:24:21.600 country and

00:24:22.300 taking our

00:24:22.860 world absolutely

00:24:23.980 to the brink,

00:24:25.280 whether it be

00:24:26.220 through

00:24:26.600 biomedical

00:24:27.640 fascism,

00:24:29.140 whether it

00:24:30.440 be through

00:24:33.180 techno-control

00:24:34.300 technocracies,

00:24:36.180 or whether

00:24:38.040 it be

00:24:38.560 through good

00:24:39.940 old-fashioned

00:24:41.020 military

00:24:42.900 industrial

00:24:44.080 dominance.

00:24:47.900 They're not

00:24:49.020 playing to

00:24:49.540 win.

00:24:50.340 They're not

00:24:51.020 playing the

00:24:51.480 long game.

00:24:52.480 In fact,

00:24:53.180 they have no

00:24:53.860 plan whatsoever.

00:24:54.800 And they

00:24:56.420 don't have

00:24:57.000 your interests

00:24:58.820 at heart.

00:24:59.660 They don't

00:25:00.200 have your

00:25:00.460 family's

00:25:01.040 interests at

00:25:01.500 heart.

00:25:01.680 They don't

00:25:01.840 have their

00:25:02.080 own family's

00:25:02.700 interests at

00:25:03.100 heart.

00:25:03.800 These people 1.00

00:25:04.700 are fools. 1.00

00:25:07.080 And as 1.00

00:25:07.280 Dr.

00:25:07.580 Mearsheimer

00:25:07.980 warned us,

00:25:08.660 I would

00:25:10.900 take it one

00:25:11.340 step further,

00:25:11.920 actually.

00:25:13.800 It's not

00:25:14.460 just our

00:25:14.800 allies that

00:25:15.380 are walking

00:25:15.760 down the

00:25:16.160 primrose

00:25:16.500 path.

00:25:17.680 It's

00:25:18.160 American

00:25:18.480 citizens that

00:25:19.740 are being

00:25:20.020 walked down

00:25:20.500 the primrose

00:25:21.040 path.

00:25:22.020 This

00:25:22.480 president gives

00:25:23.200 a speech that

00:25:23.960 he ripped off

00:25:24.720 of President

00:25:25.200 Trump saying

00:25:25.720 the world is

00:25:26.360 great and

00:25:26.740 everything is

00:25:27.140 going to be

00:25:27.540 fine.

00:25:28.260 When we

00:25:28.860 can look

00:25:29.300 around and

00:25:30.460 see that

00:25:30.840 everything is

00:25:31.840 collapsing and

00:25:33.740 the doomsday

00:25:34.380 clock is

00:25:36.920 getting closer.

00:25:37.500 Ladies and 0.98

00:25:39.480 gentlemen, as

00:25:39.900 always, you

00:25:40.220 have my

00:25:40.480 permission to

00:25:40.900 lay ashore.
