00:00:07.680 Anno Domini.
00:00:09.540 The Trump indictment has been delayed.
00:00:11.840 What is going on in New York?
00:00:13.920 Does the grand jury have the goods?
00:00:15.620 Next, Xi Jinping telling the world, 100-year change is coming.
00:00:21.340 And finally, Rolling Stone's editor-in-chief has been exposed as covering up a friend's
00:00:28.400 arrest for child pornography.
00:00:31.040 All this, and we're ahead to Human Events Daily.

00:00:49.100 It's called the Poso Daily Brief.

00:00:52.400 You will not regret it.
00:00:54.040 Humanevents.com slash Poso.
00:00:55.680 Totally free.
00:00:56.400 The Poso Daily Brief.
00:00:58.400 Donald Trump is under multiple criminal inquiries, but there are signs he may face charges in
00:01:12.460 the first of those this week.
00:01:13.820 For more, I want to talk to the reporter who perhaps knows Trump the best, senior political
00:01:17.460 correspondent for The New York Times, Maggie Haberman, who has been awarded a Pulitzer Prize
00:01:20.660 for her coverage of the former president.
00:01:22.580 Maggie, behind the scenes, what can you tell us about how Trump is handling this situation?
00:01:28.400 Look, Jake, he's very anxious about the prospect of being indicted for a couple of reasons.
00:01:33.460 Yes, two things can be true at once.
00:01:35.480 He is aware that there are reasons to believe this could help him politically.
00:01:39.420 We have heard a lot about this this morning already.
00:01:41.880 But he does not want to face getting arrested, which is what happens when you get indicted.
00:01:45.920 You get fingerprinted.
00:01:47.220 You get brought in.
00:01:48.060 You have to ask for bail.
00:01:49.480 None of that is something that he is excited about.
00:01:51.480 So he and his folks, his political folks, are preparing for a huge blitz politically to
00:01:57.540 push back on the Manhattan District Attorney.
00:01:59.340 You saw that start yesterday, although I don't think that his Truth Social post yesterday morning
00:02:03.420 calling for protests was part of a grand plan.
00:02:07.080 He did it, and a bunch of his aides were surprised by it.
00:02:09.480 But I do think that that is separate from what you're going to see legally.
00:02:12.980 And while I know that his folks are suggesting this is a weak case, they don't actually know
00:02:17.340 what the evidence is.
00:02:18.200 What it is is trivial compared to the other inquiries.
00:02:21.420 That doesn't mean there won't be a conviction, and they have to be mindful of that.
00:02:25.340 So what's going on in New York City?
00:02:29.820 D.A. Alvin Bragg was supposed to bring the charges today.
00:02:35.240 I thought that I was going to be sitting here today explaining to you the charges on President
00:02:39.560 Trump, and yet it seems we have no charges.
00:02:42.820 The grand jury, in fact, isn't even going to be meeting today.
00:02:48.100 Interesting.
00:02:49.040 Okay.
00:02:49.660 What's going on there?
00:02:50.460 So this is actually BBC, believe it or not.
00:02:53.040 New York grand jury hearing on Trump hush money case delayed.
00:02:58.340 New York grand jury considering whether, and by the way, I'm going to point this out.
00:03:01.880 They keep saying hush money case, hush money case, hush money case.
00:03:05.940 That's not even in evidence yet.
00:03:09.060 So the media is sitting there telling you, oh, it's hush money, it's hush money, it's hush
00:03:12.360 money.
00:03:13.180 But is it hush money?
00:03:15.500 Because it was a settlement.
00:03:18.120 Okay.
00:03:18.520 We know it was a settlement.
00:03:19.840 We even told it was a settlement.
00:03:22.080 Trump's lawyer there, Joey Tacos, says that it was a settlement.
00:03:26.800 Stormy Daniels admitted it was a settlement.
00:03:29.100 And apparently in 2018, admitted that she made up the whole story.
00:03:35.040 That it was a shakedown because she knew he was running for office and would pay money
00:03:40.880 to make it go away.
00:03:42.100 I'm not sure how that's not extortion in and of itself.
00:03:44.660 But listen to this.
00:03:47.600 The grand jury will not meet as planned, citing law enforcement sources.
00:03:52.220 A Manhattan prosecutor may charge Mr. Trump over how he, listen to this, declared a payment
00:04:01.000 to keep quiet about an alleged affair.
00:04:04.480 This is the most chicken scratch case you've ever heard.
00:04:13.320 And by the way, do you think this is going to be the only one?
00:04:14.820 They're going to indict him in D.C. over the classified documents.
00:04:21.100 They're going to indict him over the Georgia.
00:04:23.600 They're going to indict him left from right.
00:04:26.600 He's their Moby Dick.
00:04:27.860 He's their white whale, their orange whale.
00:04:33.100 They're going to do everything they can to try to stop him because this is about the establishment.
00:04:39.480 This is about the regime.
00:04:40.760 This is about the one man who gave us four years of economic success, four years of peace in the world, defeated ISIS and radical.
00:04:51.700 You don't even hear about radical Islam anymore.
00:04:54.040 Remember, the caliphate was going to take over the world.
00:04:55.860 And suddenly one guy gets in and cleans it all up in four years.
00:05:01.000 They're going to take him.
00:05:03.920 Because he said that he would stop the Ukraine war in 24 hours.
00:05:10.100 The one president in modern history to refuse to start any new wars.
00:05:18.140 And he's the one they want to indict.
00:05:21.060 Are you paying attention yet?
00:05:23.220 But that's what this is all about.
00:05:27.600 This is about removing the populist nationalist movement from the United States, from Europe, from the West.
00:05:38.500 They don't want it to exist.
00:05:40.900 They want to undercut it.
00:05:42.460 They're going to go after the leaders.
00:05:43.760 They're going to pick people off one by one.
00:05:46.300 And they want you to sit there and say, oh, that's okay.
00:05:49.180 It's just some kid making memes in Brooklyn.
00:05:51.980 That's okay.
00:05:53.460 It's just Donald Trump.
00:05:54.900 That's okay.
00:05:55.480 It's just Alex Jones.
00:05:56.800 That's okay.
00:05:57.440 It's just Jack Posobiec.
00:05:58.660 And then eventually, they will come for everyone.
00:06:04.760 And the people that they don't come for will be the ones who are being good little boys and girls.
00:06:12.280 They're not upsetting the apple cart.
00:06:14.240 They're apologizing to the establishment.
00:06:17.240 They're doing whatever the establishment wants them to do so that they can be good little boys and get their pat on the head and say, there you go.
00:06:26.580 Here's your cup of pudding.
00:06:27.700 No, no, we're done with this.
00:06:31.160 The American people can see through this, and they have miscalculated, and they have backfired, and that is why.
00:06:39.500 That is why this grand jury is not meeting today.
00:06:43.200 That's why they're delaying this, because I'll tell you something.
00:06:45.320 If they had the goods, show me the goods.
00:06:46.920 Show me the goods, Alvin.
00:06:48.540 Show me the goods, Alvin.
00:06:51.060 What do you got?
00:06:52.560 What do you got?
00:06:53.220 Come on.
00:06:53.580 Bring it.
00:06:54.400 Take a shot.
00:06:55.780 You want to take a shot?
00:06:56.440 Take a shot.
00:06:57.340 Come on, man.
00:06:58.320 Let's go.
00:06:59.340 Do it right now.
00:07:00.080 Do it as hard as you can.
00:07:01.200 Come on.
00:07:01.500 I'll give you a free one.
00:07:02.680 I'll give you a free one.
00:07:05.200 Take a shot.
00:07:07.080 Because I'll tell you something.
00:07:08.860 You're going to take your shot.
00:07:10.040 But you know something?
00:07:12.220 Better men than you have taken their shot.
00:07:17.200 And I'm still here.
00:07:19.180 We're still here.
00:07:21.040 We're still standing.
00:07:22.980 And we're not going anywhere.
00:07:25.400 So I'm sorry, Alvin.
00:07:27.860 If you think that you are going to be able to do this by yourself, maybe you're going
00:07:33.700 to bring along Simon and Theodore while you're at it and tell you something.
00:07:40.040 Go back to stuffing your cheeks with acorns because you're never going to find a nut.
00:07:45.900 The second largest bank failure in U.S. history occurred in just 48 hours with more interest
00:07:51.460 rate hikes than others could follow.
00:07:53.500 All of this is happening when the dollar is weakening, stocks are plunging, and real estate
00:07:57.800 is bottoming out.
00:07:59.380 Take my advice.

00:08:41.880 Protect your future with Allegiance Gold.
00:09:08.820 There you go.
00:09:09.980 For those of you listening on the podcast side, Xi Jinping is saying farewell to Vladimir Putin,
00:09:19.960 saying, we are seeing a change that has not been seen in 100 years, and we're doing it together.
00:09:29.880 The century of humiliation is a key concept to understand when you want to know Chinese history, and you want to
00:09:39.860 understand the Chinese worldview.
00:09:42.400 The way they say China, the word for China, the word China is an English word, obviously.
00:09:49.560 In Chinese, they don't say China.
00:09:51.200 This is a totally Western creation.
00:09:54.140 Socially constructed, right?
00:09:56.620 Well, while Alvin Bragg and Simon and Theodore and the rest of them are trying to take down
00:10:01.380 Trump in a Manhattan courthouse, this is what's going on in the rest of the world.
00:10:06.800 This is what they don't want you paying attention to.
00:10:08.480 The fact that this guy, same guy here, Xi Jinping, millions of dollars to the Biden, at least three
00:10:14.700 million that we know of in one transaction to Biden and his close family members.
00:10:22.080 But what's the century of humiliation?
00:10:23.880 The century of humiliation is an understanding in modern Chinese history, the way they teach history.
00:10:30.040 They say that the century of humiliation began in 1849, the opium wars, and ran all the way to 1949.
00:10:42.620 Happened in 1949, the founding of the People's Republic of China.
00:10:48.200 That was the final victory of communism in China.
00:10:52.700 As we've talked about at length here on the China Files, the thesis goes as this.
00:11:00.040 FDR and later Truman and the communists in the State Department wanted China to go communist.
00:11:07.100 This was the deal that they made with the Soviet Union in order for the Soviet Union to acquiesce
00:11:14.620 to sign the charter of the United Nations, to allow the establishment of the United Nations.
00:11:20.340 And the idea was always that the United States would be on top of all of this.
00:11:25.880 Turns out, though, the deal has changed.
00:11:30.860 The deal has changed.
00:11:32.820 Because the United States now is not in the driver's seat anymore.
00:11:37.780 We're chasing our own tail.
00:11:39.620 While Russia and China are walking you through Iran, Saudi Arabia, the entire Middle East, Turkey, Syria, they're going through Africa.
00:11:51.560 40 African nations were there, by the way, with them.
00:11:54.260 In case you didn't know, they were also going through all this.
00:11:57.140 They call it the Global South.
00:11:58.280 The Global South is now looking to Russia and China as the world leaders, which ultimately, and read between the lines on this,
00:12:08.180 which ultimately means China is going to be in the driver's seat.
00:12:12.620 And Putin understands this, by the way.
00:12:14.580 He understands that because he's been cut off from the West, he has no choice but to go with China.
00:12:22.100 China, of course, is already in the driver's seat when it comes to the United States.
00:12:26.780 We thought they were going to be our junior partner.
00:12:29.960 But guess what?
00:12:30.900 They realized along the way that if they took our money and started stealing all of our intellectual property, our IP,
00:12:38.540 that eventually we would be beholden to them.
00:12:41.380 And we are.
00:12:41.740 We saw this during COVID.
00:12:43.420 So they released COVID.
00:12:44.740 We don't even respond.
00:12:46.020 We don't even do anything.
00:12:48.120 By the way, I'm just going to go ahead and say this.
00:12:51.480 I had a certain dinner with a very bad orange man last week.
00:12:55.200 And I mentioned to him this very situation about China.
00:13:01.740 Because, like, everybody knows I'm a China guy.
00:13:04.720 I said, they have to pay for what they did, Mr. President.
00:13:07.880 They have to pay for what they did to you, to us, to our families, to our economy, our businesses, all of this.
00:13:19.720 But Xi Jinping, he did it.
00:13:21.380 Of course he did.
00:13:22.060 And he got away with it.
00:13:25.160 So while they're sitting there, thinking of their century of humiliation, Xi Jinping is saying,
00:13:34.640 we are embarking into the century of dominance.
00:13:41.200 Dominance.
00:13:45.000 China wants to dominate the world economically.
00:13:49.540 They want to be the top dog.
00:13:52.060 They're already achieving this throughout Europe.
00:13:56.200 They're starting to achieve it more and more in the Americas.
00:13:59.140 Go to your store.
00:14:00.080 Go to whatever store is down, you know, down the street from you.
00:14:03.120 You'll see it right there.
00:14:04.820 You'll see it right there.
00:14:06.740 Apple, Amazon, the pharma companies.
00:14:09.700 These are all de facto Chinese companies now.
00:14:12.980 All of them.
00:14:14.620 And you have to think of them that way.
00:14:17.660 So much of Silicon Valley.
00:14:19.420 And I did say that to the bad orange man at our dinner as well.
00:14:23.820 We need to Hollywood, of course, understand what time it is.
00:14:29.360 Xi Jinping understands what time it is.
00:14:30.680 He's the one setting the clock.
00:14:33.920 And Vladimir Putin is playing the hand that was dealt to him.
00:14:38.540 And it was dealt by the United States and the idiotic leaders that we've had for the last 30 years.
00:14:44.620 They're trying to turn NATO into the world's global police, the global police force of, quote, world order.
00:14:52.800 By the way, Alex Jones used to say stuff like that in the 90s.
00:14:56.360 And people would call him crazy.
00:14:57.480 He'd say, oh, you're talking about black helicopters.
00:14:59.080 And then look what happened.
00:15:01.140 From the Middle East to Eurasia and on, NATO was used again and again for this very same function.
00:15:09.800 So how did you think they were going to respond?
00:15:11.640 Did you think they were just going to roll over and take it?
00:15:15.220 And then NATO goes in and tries to get rid of Syria, the NATO leaders, the way they did in Libya.
00:15:22.460 And Russia pushes back.
00:15:24.320 And now they're going to continue to push back.
00:15:26.760 And the United States and the petrodollar are going to fall farther and farther because of our feckless, idiotic leaders.
00:15:35.680 So as the parallel economy continues to grow, we've seen a ton of conservative coffee companies come and go.
00:15:40.380 And I held off until I found one that I really liked.
00:15:42.820 And that's why I'm happy to tell you about blackout coffee.
00:15:46.300 You know, it's not enough to simply taste great.
00:15:48.320 You want to be proud to support the company knowing they align with your conservative values.
00:15:53.280 And that's why I'm telling you to give them a try.
00:15:56.040 Look, I got to talk to some folks about this.
00:15:58.480 We got to talk.
00:15:58.920 I don't know if producer Angelo's got to go on this, whatever.
00:16:01.080 I am out of my blackout coffee and I'm feeling it, guys.
00:16:04.020 I'm feeling it.
00:16:04.800 I need my blackout.
00:16:05.840 The ratings are down in the dumps because we need our blackout.
00:16:09.820 We saw a massive ratings boost through the roof, skyrocketed.
00:16:13.960 My promos got so much better when I was drinking my blackout coffee.
00:16:18.000 Producer Angelo, get on it.
00:16:19.680 That is why.
00:16:20.580 And that's why I'm telling you, I do recommend blackout coffee.
00:16:23.720 It's amazing.
00:16:24.180 This coffee company, they're 100 percent committed to conservative values.
00:16:27.420 Look, the way they source the beans, the way they roast them, the customer support, the shipping.
00:16:31.380 It's incredible.
00:16:32.980 The work ethic they have is amazing and they accept no compromise on taste or quality.
00:16:38.040 Go to blackoutcoffee.com slash POSO.
00:16:39.880 Use promo code POSO for 20% off on your first order.
00:16:43.260 We're going to put the link in the description.
00:16:45.140 Stop giving your money to woke companies that don't care about you.
00:16:49.080 Stay true to our values.
00:16:53.920 James Gordon Meek was an award winning, was or is, we don't know exactly what's going on,
00:16:59.860 Emmy award winning producer for ABC.
00:17:03.640 He's currently working, currently working or was, as we know, know on a story, a book actually
00:17:11.060 about Operation Pineapple, which was this sort of erstwhile event that took place during
00:17:18.040 Biden's disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.
00:17:20.440 Apparently, while working on this book, his home was raided by the FBI.
00:17:26.420 We have reports, and this is from Rolling Stone, so you've got to take it with a grain
00:17:30.200 of salt, that it was over classified information.
00:17:35.160 The question then becomes, if he was holding classified documents, the FBI raids him to go
00:17:39.480 in, tries to get them back.
00:17:40.760 Very similar, by the way, to the Mar-a-Lago situation.
00:17:43.440 The question is, where's James Gordon Meeks?
00:17:46.920 So I told you back in October to take all Rolling Stone reporting with a grain of salt.
00:17:52.720 I said, you've got to take this with a grain of salt, folks.
00:17:56.260 Something doesn't smell right about this Rolling Stone story.
00:18:00.140 Classified documents, Operation Pineapple, what's really going on here?
00:18:04.560 All right, so we reported the story, but I said, take it with a grain of salt.
00:18:08.820 We're not really sure what's happening.
00:18:11.140 Well, now we know what was happening, because busted.
00:18:14.800 And our good friends over at the Post Millennial have this.
00:18:17.360 The Rolling Stone editor-in-chief covered up reporting that his friend was being arrested
00:18:24.480 for child pornography.
00:18:26.860 Why would he do that?
00:18:29.000 Interesting.
00:18:29.700 This is from the great Hannah Nightingale.
00:18:31.780 A new report has revealed that the man who edited Rolling Stone's initial story on the
00:18:39.080 FBI raid of ABC producer James Gordon Meeks, who was later revealed to have been charged with
00:18:42.900 possessing child pornography, removed all references to the charge from the report,
00:18:48.960 and was an associate of the alleged and accused producer.
00:18:55.700 That's not good.
00:18:57.240 So former Rolling Stone journalist Tatiana Siegel broke the news that the FBI had raided his home in
00:19:02.080 April, and that Emmy award-winning, that the producer, James Gordon Meek, had disappeared from
00:19:07.080 mind.
00:19:07.820 However, Noah Schockman, Noah Schockman, the current Rolling Stone editor-in-chief, the former
00:19:15.980 editor-in-chief of the Daily Beast, a paragon of journalistic integrity.
00:19:21.960 There was about as far left as you can come.
00:19:24.140 They're absolute scumbags.
00:19:25.140 He removed key information from her sources that Meek had been raided by the FBI as part
00:19:37.080 of a child pornography federal investigation.
00:19:42.140 Schockman considered Meek, quote, a peer with whom he was friendly.
00:19:47.880 He said friend.
00:19:49.020 A concern that Siegel had brought up to corporate officials.
00:19:52.840 Schockman reportedly told colleagues that the two travel in the same professional circles.
00:20:00.100 Oh, really?
00:20:01.660 Is that what they're calling it now?
00:20:04.440 What other kind of travel are you guys up to in your professional circles, Noah?
00:20:10.320 You and James Gordon Meek traveling a lot together, Noah?
00:20:14.380 Traveling to, I don't know, maybe some trips to the Caribbean?
00:20:18.640 James Gordon Meek and Noah Schockman?
00:20:21.180 Any interesting travel that you'd like to tell us about?
00:20:25.420 Possibly some travel that you should probably disclose.
00:20:28.220 Maybe some travel that we'll be finding out soon about in legal proceedings that are going
00:20:34.860 to be coming up.
00:20:36.340 Let's see this.
00:20:37.420 In a 2021 tweet from before Schockman took the helm at Rolling Stone, Meek was seen on Twitter
00:20:47.060 suggesting a band for Schockman to listen to from Niger.
00:20:52.600 One great thing about this upcoming gig is how hard it's pushing me to listen to new music.
00:20:56.640 What should I listen to next?
00:20:57.940 To simplify things, only songs published in the last 12 months, please.
00:21:00.940 And then there you go.
00:21:02.180 James Gordon Meek.
00:21:03.020 Quick response, right?
00:21:03.960 Oh, it's the Jimi Hendrix of the Shahel emerging amidst the insurgency of ISIS and Al-Qaeda jihadis
00:21:11.880 in Northwest Africa who detest to destroy everything Western.
00:21:15.240 Oh, interesting.
00:21:16.140 But listen to this.
00:21:16.800 At a staff meeting in late September, Siegel reminded Schockman that she was working on
00:21:22.580 the story and the following week, Schockman stepped in to edit the story, a move that
00:21:28.140 was, quote, rare.
00:21:30.440 Siegel warned reportedly by Schockman against including the words child pornography in the
00:21:36.340 story.
00:21:36.780 According to what Siegel told others, Schockman and she agreed that the article would reflect
00:21:41.960 that the FBI's interest stemmed from concerns of possible criminal behavior, quote, outside
00:21:47.560 the scope of Meek's work that has had nothing to do with national security or journalism.
00:21:52.760 However, he began telling others that he didn't think that she had nailed down her sourcing.
00:22:00.480 And what's interesting is that he didn't actually give any information, we're told here.
00:22:04.060 And we know that turns out that her sources were incredibly correct.
00:22:08.520 They were 100% correct, absolutely accurate.
00:22:11.440 But Noah Schockman, the editor in chief of Rolling Stone, perished the thought that Rolling
00:22:19.220 Stone, a guy who used to run the Daily Beast, would ever lie to cover up for his friend who
00:22:28.420 had been.
00:22:28.820 And why is it, see, there are times where I sit there and I think, oh, so you're going
00:22:35.800 to say something that's going to get you in trouble again.
00:22:37.920 You're going to do it.
00:22:39.240 And I just, I, why is it always child porn?
00:22:44.400 Every single time.
00:22:47.280 Why is it always child porn that they are trying to protect?
00:22:51.740 Why is it always child sex crimes?
00:22:55.080 The trafficking in child pornography, the possession of child pornography, friends of theirs who
00:23:02.400 are involved with child pornography.
00:23:03.460 If you had a friend, if you had a friend that was involved in child pornography, you would
00:23:10.360 be the first person to report them, right?
00:23:12.640 You'd be the very first person to call that out.
00:23:16.220 You would say, you got to do something with this guy.
00:23:19.420 This guy's got a problem.
00:23:20.740 This guy's got to go away.
00:23:21.760 If you found out direct evidence that someone you knew was involved in the exploitation of
00:23:29.340 children, what kind of a person, what kind of a person would cover up the exploitation of
00:23:39.600 children?
00:23:39.880 What kind of a person would have something to gain from covering up the exploitation of
00:23:51.560 children, a pedophile, an accused pedophile, to be sure, to be sure, right?
00:23:59.160 We're not going in with all that, but you had evidence.
00:24:02.040 Let's not use a picture of the guy in question, shock when requested, in a post-damp needs
00:24:09.480 photo, just something about the FBI, picture of the FBI and their windbreakers.
00:24:15.720 Don't put his photo.
00:24:17.920 Don't mention the connection to child pornography.
00:24:21.000 Don't mention any of those things.
00:24:22.840 Cover it up.
00:24:23.760 Make it go away.
00:24:24.960 We don't want those stories out there.
00:24:26.640 Why is that, Noah?
00:24:29.400 Is there something you want to tell us, Noah?
00:24:32.780 The traveling in the same circles?
00:24:38.040 Hanging out at the same areas, maybe?
00:24:42.880 Maybe a little double trouble?
00:24:45.900 Maybe a little extra toppings, Noah?
00:24:48.940 Okay.
00:24:49.860 All right.
00:24:50.760 No, you know what?
00:24:52.120 I understand.
