Human Events Daily with Jack Posobiec - EPISODE 426： D.A. BRAGG BACKPEDALS, SAYS TRUMP CREATED ‘FALSE EXPECTATION’ ABOUT ARREST

00:00:00.000 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily, powered by Turning Point USA.

00:00:05.400 Today is Thursday, March 23rd, 2023.

00:00:07.500 I know, Dominic, today's top story, DA Alvin Bragg.

00:00:11.520 Fat Alvin is backpedaling, saying that Trump created the false expectation about his arrest.

00:00:17.280 Next, Biden administration doubling down on their denial of Nord Stream's destruction.

00:00:21.360 And finally, a new poll out of Rasmussen shows that 54% of likely voters don't think that President Biden is telling the truth about his China business dealings.

00:00:30.240 All this more ahead, Human Events Daily.

00:00:55.880 The Poso Daily Brief.

00:01:07.400 Look, we told you guys this yesterday.

00:01:10.080 Fat Alvin doesn't have the goods.

00:01:13.500 If he had the goods, he would have brought the charges already.

00:01:17.600 Try it, Fat Alvin.

00:01:18.460 Come on.

00:01:19.940 Come on.

00:01:21.020 Now we're seeing this.

00:01:21.900 Look at a Daily Mail.

00:01:22.900 The grand jury has been canceled for the rest of the week.

00:01:27.100 Alvin Bragg is facing even more questions as the panel's vote on the indictment has been pushed back to at least next week as he, quote, struggles with his weak case.

00:01:38.520 Sources tell Daily Mail.

00:01:39.520 Sources tell Daily Mail.com that prosecutors are having trouble convincing the jury to indict Trump over hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.

00:01:49.980 And we don't even, by the way, and I said this before, and we don't even, by the way, and I said this before, we haven't even proven, it's never been proven anywhere that these were hush money payments.

00:01:57.220 It's just not proven, okay?

00:01:58.500 You can allege all you want.

00:01:59.940 You can state all you want.

00:02:01.080 You can make every accusation.

00:02:02.360 And that's fine.

00:02:03.280 You could say likely, but it's not proven.

00:02:05.840 And the media, I've seen the entire media say this.

00:02:07.880 It's not proven.

00:02:08.940 It's not.

00:02:09.480 It's just not.

00:02:10.700 Here's the thing, though.

00:02:12.180 You know, they used to say that a good prosecutor could get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich.

00:02:20.240 Well, unfortunately, Fat Alvin ate the ham sandwich before the jury even showed up.

00:02:26.320 There's nobody there.

00:02:27.840 Trump's got an event in Texas this weekend.

00:02:30.140 He's flying down.

00:02:31.160 He doesn't even care about this.

00:02:32.900 This thing is done.

00:02:34.360 It's so dead in the water.

00:02:36.780 And now Bragg is out there going back to Congress because Jim Jordan's coming in and talking about the weaponization of government and saying, can you explain to us what's actually going on here?

00:02:46.900 Have you been using federal?

00:02:48.260 Have you been using some kind of federal funds or federal resources for this?

00:02:52.840 Because it certainly feels as if there's a lot of federal involvement going on here.

00:02:58.040 And Fat Alvin saying, well, well, this was a false expectation, really, about this arrest.

00:03:02.820 I wasn't the one who who said that that was that was Trump said that on true social.

00:03:07.620 And I never said he's backpedaling.

00:03:10.240 He's backpedaling because he ain't he definitely ain't treading water.

00:03:13.520 Fat Alvin is not somebody who's going to be treading water for very long.

00:03:17.260 How can you eat your pudding?

00:03:20.880 If you haven't had your meat, how can you eat your pudding if you haven't had any meat, Fat Alvin?

00:03:26.920 And now sources do tell Human Events Daily that Bragg is currently working on going around to all the bodegas in the immediate vicinity of the Manhattan courthouse where he's buying all the snack packs that he can find, both vanilla chocolate and the vanilla chocolate swirl.

00:03:48.920 We have to. Is that is that confirmed, producer Angelo?

00:03:51.520 Yes, it is confirmed. Vanilla chocolate swirls are being purchased by Alvin Bragg.

00:03:56.920 And he plans to sit there in the courtroom with the grand jury for as long as possible, eating the snack packs in front of them.

00:04:04.800 He's not even going to not a bite.

00:04:06.060 He's not even offering them one bite, one single bite.

00:04:10.560 It's not going to until they give back, until they deliver the votes.

00:04:15.900 Now, let's let's just say we do still think that Trump is going to be indicted.

00:04:19.680 And keep in mind that Bragg could still issue the indictment by himself.

00:04:25.740 Now, the idea of using a grand jury is to it allows for the imprimatur of legitimacy.

00:04:35.100 It allows for making it seem as though it's a public inquiry.

00:04:38.660 It's not a political partisan inquiry, even though this obviously is.

00:04:42.400 But Bragg's got problems now.

00:04:44.000 Because do you not expect us to believe that the Biden DOJ and Merrick Garland isn't actually behind this?

00:04:52.880 Imagine what appointments they dangled in front of this guy, telling him they'd appoint him to the DOJ, telling him that they'd help him run for AG after Letitia James.

00:05:02.940 Now he's lucky if he's even going to remain as DA.

00:05:06.280 He's lucky if they appoint him dog catcher by the end of the year after totally boofing up this entire operation.

00:05:14.700 You can't even get the grand jury.

00:05:16.920 Alvin, buddy, Vubula, pass the charges, Alvin.

00:05:22.060 You don't need the grand jury.

00:05:23.580 Go ahead.

00:05:24.640 Do it yourself.

00:05:25.880 Do it yourself.

00:05:27.460 Drop the charges right now.

00:05:29.780 Be a man.

00:05:30.980 Be a man, Alvin.

00:05:32.340 Go in there.

00:05:33.920 And I see you all hunched over, walking into your office today with your little suitcase.

00:05:39.840 Be a man.

00:05:41.760 Drop the charges yourself.

00:05:43.220 Bring it.

00:05:44.180 Just bring them all.

00:05:45.360 And let's do this.

00:05:46.640 And if you don't want to do this, if you want to back down and talk about false expectations, trying to tread water, trying to tread water like you're Jack and Rose at the end of Titanic.

00:05:56.000 I don't know.

00:05:57.320 I don't know.

00:05:57.860 It doesn't look like it's going to work because you see a problem is fat Alvin doesn't have the goods.

00:06:05.520 And you look at a guy like that, his entire life has been a struggle up to this point.

00:06:10.540 Because you see, here's the problem.

00:06:12.740 When you get where you are based on lies, when you get where you are based on.

00:06:20.040 Tokenism.

00:06:22.700 Don't push comes to shove.

00:06:24.300 You can't cut it.

00:06:25.260 We know you can't cut it, Alvin.

00:06:27.640 So it's done.

00:06:28.860 It's been done.

00:06:30.280 And Simon and Theodore and Dave.

00:06:34.420 They're not going to be there to help you.

00:06:36.660 The chipettes have left you, Alvin. 0.98

00:06:38.680 They're gone.

00:06:40.160 You know what?

00:06:42.060 They're stepping out.

00:06:44.440 Because why wouldn't you step out on a guy like that? 0.99

00:06:47.060 Alvin, you're a mess.

00:06:49.360 Folks, it pains me to say this, but America is in big trouble.

00:06:54.220 If you listen to this show, you know that global conflict is spiraling out of control.

00:06:59.000 Chaos is everywhere.

00:07:00.740 The clock is ticking, so prepare now or face the consequences later.

00:07:04.520 And I urge you, do not wait until it's too late.

00:07:51.180 I think, as Mr. Sullivan mentioned, there are three now national investigations being done into the Nord Stream 2 explosion by three of our allies.

00:08:03.500 We are not going to get ahead of that.

00:08:04.860 That work is still ongoing.

00:08:06.000 We still do believe it was an act of sabotage.

00:08:09.400 The United States was not involved in any way, contrary to some press reporting out there.

00:08:14.540 We don't believe the United States was involved.

00:08:17.460 Folks, never believe something until it's been officially denied.

00:08:23.160 And that's exactly where we are.

00:08:24.300 So Seymour Hersh is out.

00:08:25.660 He's got a new piece.

00:08:26.860 Go check it out.

00:08:27.740 Seymour Hersh at Substack.com.

00:08:30.780 Seymour Hersh dot Substack.com, actually.

00:08:32.620 The Biden administration continues to conceal its responsibility for the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines.

00:08:38.580 The cover-up.

00:08:39.940 It's been six weeks since I published a report based on anonymous sourcing naming President Biden as the official who ordered the mysterious destruction last September of Nord Stream 2, a new $11 billion pipeline that was scheduled to double the volume of natural gas delivered from Russia to Germany.

00:08:54.900 The story gained traction in Germany and Western Europe, but was subject to a near-media blackout in the United States.

00:09:02.060 Two weeks ago, after a visit by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to Washington—and you remember, here at Human Events Daily, we covered this extensively.

00:09:10.940 The fact that all of these reports, and specifically this report about the pro-Ukrainian group, came out after that quiet meeting that Olaf Scholz held with Joe Biden at the White House.

00:09:24.480 Why did they have the meeting?

00:09:25.280 There was no press conference.

00:09:26.940 Remember, we were told, well, it's a working visit, and they're having discussions on sensitive matters of national importance.

00:09:34.380 Yet there was no press conference, there was no availability, there was like a quick photo op inside the Oval Office, and then Olaf Scholz flies back three days later.

00:09:42.820 What did we get?

00:09:43.420 The pro-Ukrainian group narrative pops out in the New York Times.

00:09:47.580 So, just after that visit, U.S. and intelligence agencies attempted to add to the blackout by feeding the New York Times and the German weekly Die Zeit false cover stories to counter the report that Biden and U.S. operatives were responsible.

00:10:04.400 Press A to the White House and CIA have consistently denied it.

00:10:07.300 But, of course, we know all along, and this goes to Sarah Miller now, I'm jumping ahead, an energy expert and editor at Energy Intelligence, which is a leading trade journal, explained in an interview that the pipeline story was big news in Germany and Western Europe, saying, quote,

00:10:24.860 The destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines in September led to a further surge of natural gas prices that were already six or more times pre-crisis levels.

00:10:34.700 Nord Stream was blown up in late September.

00:10:37.340 Think of it.

00:10:38.240 It was exactly as they were going into what?

00:10:40.120 The winter.

00:10:41.060 German gas imports peaked a month earlier, a month later, in October, at 10 times pre-crisis levels.

00:10:48.460 Electricity prices across Europe were pulled up, and governments spent as much as 800 billion euros.

00:10:54.860 By some estimates, shielding households and businesses for the impact.

00:10:58.320 So government had to get involved in this.

00:11:00.620 Gas prices reflecting the mild winter in Europe have now fallen back to roughly a quarter of the October peak, but they are still two to three times pre-crisis levels and more than three times the current U.S. ones.

00:11:13.100 This is about Germany and Western Europe.

00:11:15.880 How are they heating their homes if they don't have access to the cheap Russian gas?

00:11:20.460 And that's just economics, right?

00:11:22.340 That we're not talking geopolitics here.

00:11:23.980 We're just talking economics because, obviously, right?

00:11:27.640 Think about it.

00:11:28.440 You know that there's that one.

00:11:30.280 Just think about it in terms of households.

00:11:31.700 Let me pause here for a second.

00:11:33.060 Think about it in terms of your household, right?

00:11:34.760 Countries work the same way.

00:11:36.340 You know, okay?

00:11:37.980 You know that when you're driving through town, there's that one gas station on the edge of town, and you know it's shady.

00:11:45.380 And you know that everything on the inside is all marked up, and they got the bulletproof, you know, plexiglass all over the place.

00:11:51.400 But that gas is 50 cents cheaper than anywhere else in the area.

00:11:57.960 And you know what?

00:11:59.680 Saying this more to the guys, that when your wife isn't around, you're going and you're filling up there, aren't you?

00:12:06.420 Yeah, I know.

00:12:07.660 I know.

00:12:08.100 They might ask for cash only.

00:12:09.720 You're going there because you know that your dollar will spread further if you are using that gas.

00:12:17.100 And that means, of course, that everything else then that goes on in your life, when you're going shopping, when you're paying your bills, tax, obviously, we're going to tax season, that you want more dollars in your pocket.

00:12:28.760 That's going to help.

00:12:29.840 It's the exact same way for national governments.

00:12:32.260 That's why the German economy's access to the cheap gas was such a goal for them for so many years.

00:12:40.000 That's why it never made any sense that Germany or Russia blew up the pipeline because they were the ones gaining from this.

00:12:47.040 Russia liked the money.

00:12:48.280 Germany liked the cheap prices.

00:12:49.620 It's literally as simple as that.

00:12:51.180 It's just as simple as that.

00:12:52.580 And then what happens afterwards, what happens afterwards is because the economic tie between Western Europe and Russia was severed.

00:13:01.380 What did Russia do?

00:13:02.400 What did Moscow do?

00:13:03.280 They turned east.

00:13:04.760 And we told you this a year ago, a year plus, what, 13 months ago, when Russia invaded Ukraine, February 24th, 2022.

00:13:15.880 We told you the balance of power was shifting east, that Russia was now making a new deal with China.

00:13:23.380 Of course, we just saw that.

00:13:25.780 Xi's trip to Moscow is analogous to what?

00:13:29.380 To Nixon's trip to China.

00:13:31.140 Why?

00:13:32.420 Because this is changing the balance of power.

00:13:36.960 And U.S. leaders are in denial about this.

00:13:39.640 They're in absolute denial.

00:13:41.240 They don't want to talk about it.

00:13:42.700 The BRICS nations, this entire economic alliance, the global south with BRICS, China and Russia at the helm.

00:13:51.140 With, by the way, Russia being the junior partner here.

00:13:54.520 So Russia is, unfortunately for them, right, the junior partner because they have no other choice.

00:14:02.160 They've been completely isolated with the destruction of this pipeline and then the rest of the economic sanctions, the pullout of the SWIFT system, etc., etc.

00:14:12.000 Sure, it's isolated them from the banking crisis.

00:14:14.780 But at the end of the day, without access to those agricultural markets where they were selling fertilizer, the potash, where they were selling other products and having the oil.

00:14:24.980 And, again, it's as simple as this, folks.

00:14:27.580 It's as simple as this.

00:14:28.840 We keep saying it here.

00:14:31.240 Look for the oil.

00:14:32.940 If you follow the sale of oil, gas, energy, you will understand geopolitics.

00:14:37.980 Because who backfilled the Russians? 0.97

00:14:40.940 Who backfilled the Russians in Germany, Western Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe? 0.98

00:14:46.940 United States.

00:14:48.700 U.S. LNG, of course, have massively expanded.

00:14:52.260 Russell Brand was talking about this.

00:14:54.020 We've been talking about this.

00:14:56.540 So, of course, there's an economic element to it.

00:14:59.840 That's what it's always been about.

00:15:01.800 So, you know, going back to this piece with Cy Hirsch, over the last year, they've had to close their energy-intensive industries, such as fertilizer, gas, glass production.

00:15:13.220 It's unclear when, if ever, those plants will open.

00:15:15.920 So, European manufacturers are having to shudder now.

00:15:20.040 And who does that help?

00:15:21.360 Who does it help if the domestic manufacturing base of a country is destroyed?

00:15:27.080 Does it sound a little familiar to you?

00:15:28.460 Oh, right.

00:15:30.460 That's exactly what happened here in the United States.

00:15:32.960 When it came to the Midwest, when it came to the Upper Midwest, when it came to the South.

00:15:37.520 Because all those jobs went to Mexico and China.

00:15:40.460 So, who benefits?

00:15:41.680 Who malo, who bono?

00:15:43.820 Who benefits?

00:15:45.440 Who suffers?

00:15:48.600 China benefits. 0.96

00:15:50.060 And China, Xi Jinping, is coming out, holding all the cards.

00:15:53.280 House Oversight says they've got bank records showing a Chinese energy company paying three Biden family members through a third party.

00:16:04.640 What were they paid for?

00:16:06.760 Look, I'm just not going to respond to that from here.

00:16:09.660 Look, we have heard from House Republicans for years and years and years how the inaccuracies and lies when it comes to this issue.

00:16:20.660 And I don't even know where to begin to even answer that question.

00:16:25.540 Because, again, it's been lies and lies and inaccuracy for the past couple of years.

00:16:29.800 And I'm just not going to get into it from here.

00:16:31.660 OK.

00:16:32.520 I'm just not going to get into it from there.

00:16:35.220 I'm not going to explain anything.

00:16:36.980 OK. 1.00

00:16:37.700 Cut the crap. 1.00

00:16:39.120 We know that millions of dollars flowed from the Chinese Communist Party to the Biden family. 1.00

00:16:43.640 And, in fact, we're not the only people who know.

00:16:45.860 Because Rasmussen has a new poll out explaining all of it to us.

00:16:50.580 Chinagate.

00:16:51.740 Most do not think that President Biden is telling the truth about this scandal.

00:16:57.740 Questions about Chinese payments to President Joe Biden's family are a serious scandal, according to a majority of voters.

00:17:04.120 And most doubt that the president is telling the whole truth about it.

00:17:08.460 Fifty-four percent do not think it is likely that Biden is telling the whole truth.

00:17:15.740 Fifty-four percent doubt that Biden is telling the truth, including 38 percent who say it is not at all likely.

00:17:23.760 Congressional investigators say that they have identified more than a million dollars of payments from a Chinese energy firm made to members of the Biden family between 2015 and 2017.

00:17:33.500 That's right as he was, number one, sitting as the vice president for two years, 2015, 2016, and then 2017, right after he got out.

00:17:42.920 That was the payment.

00:17:43.940 That's how it works, by the way.

00:17:45.340 You don't pay all the money while you're in.

00:17:47.800 You wait until you're out of office.

00:17:49.300 Then you get cut your check.

00:17:50.900 Sixty-five percent of voters believe the Biden family's Chinese connection is a serious scandal, including 47 percent who think the scandal is very serious.

00:18:01.560 Twenty-nine percent don't believe the Biden family's dealings with China are a serious scandal.

00:18:07.120 Twenty-nine percent.

00:18:07.340 Who is that?

00:18:08.480 Who is that the 29 percent say it's not serious?

00:18:11.680 But listen to this.

00:18:12.440 Forty-eight percent of even of Democrats, registered Democrats, think that the China scandal is at least somewhat serious.

00:18:20.420 And 22 percent of registered Democrats believe that it is a very serious scandal.

00:18:26.320 As you can imagine, conservatives, it's much, much higher.

00:18:28.960 Let me go in because I'd love to check independence here because independence are a great barometer for this.

00:18:33.640 So party other.

00:18:35.960 And it's enormous.

00:18:37.440 It's absolutely enormous.

00:18:38.580 By the way, they're also asking, how do you view President Biden's handling of national security issues getting slaughtered?

00:18:46.900 Absolutely slaughtered on this question.

00:18:49.700 It is 65 percent, 65 percent against how serious of a scandal is.

00:18:56.220 And that's just independence.

00:18:57.360 How serious of a scandal is the Biden family's Chinese connection?

00:19:01.020 Okay, for independence, it's, oh my gosh, 67 percent.

00:19:10.780 Is that right?

00:19:12.160 Sixty-seven percent.

00:19:13.460 I'm looking at the Rasmussen poll right here.

00:19:15.080 Sixty-seven percent of independents say that it's a serious scandal.

00:19:19.420 And how likely is it that he told the truth?

00:19:23.020 And I mean, just insane number, over 72 percent, 72, okay, 72 percent of Republicans and then 65 percent of independents say that President Biden did not tell the truth about his dealings.

00:19:40.220 He was right.

00:19:40.400 You know, I asked one of those AI video generators or image generators.

00:19:46.540 It's called Mid Journey.

00:19:47.320 I asked it to generate a picture of what it would look like if China took over the White House.

00:19:52.380 And it was interesting because they just showed me a picture of Joe Biden behind the Oval Office, behind the Resolute desk.

00:19:56.600 Kind of funny.

00:19:57.360 Funny how that works.

00:19:58.000 I thought there was going to be maybe some flags, maybe Xi Jinping stomping around.

00:20:02.040 No, just a picture of Joe Biden.

00:20:03.740 Folks, this is a major scandal.

00:20:07.180 And there's a lot going on here because why don't we see the media drumbeat for this?

00:20:13.780 Simple.

00:20:14.180 This is why they leaked the news about a potential arrest of President Trump.

00:20:20.060 This is why this all came out.

00:20:22.200 This all came out because they were trying to front load the scandal.

00:20:27.280 And by the way, I've said this before.

00:20:28.980 Normally, I'm not the guy, right, who says that, oh, there's a scandal, but something else is distracting from that scandal.

00:20:35.420 I'm not usually that guy.

00:20:36.820 I'm not usually the one who's, you know, saying that that's the big, you know, the big to do.

00:20:44.240 It is this time.

00:20:45.720 It absolutely is.

00:20:48.400 They dropped this.

00:20:49.600 And it's not just about it's not just about President Trump.

00:20:53.660 It's not even necessarily just about China, because you look at everything around the board.

00:20:58.740 Russia and Ukraine, China and Russia joining together at the hip.

00:21:02.340 They're doing everything they can to prevent you from understanding what's going on in our world.

00:21:11.140 What's going on?

00:21:12.500 And the war is on.

00:21:15.100 As somebody once famously said, there's a war on for your mind.

00:21:19.880 It is an information war.

00:21:21.540 And the situation we're in right now is they're trying to overload the system.

00:21:28.400 They're trying to do to it.

00:21:29.620 We're not even talking about the fact that we had one of the largest bank failures in American history just a few days ago.

00:21:37.040 So that's how fast this is all flying.

00:21:39.880 One of the largest bank failures, this massive alliance between Russia and China, analogous only to what I would say as Nixon's trip to China all the way back in the 1970s. 0.86

00:21:51.340 Why? Because the balance of power is shifting.

00:21:54.540 And so rather than have you pay attention to that, rather than have you questioning that or understand, they say, oh, no, no, no, no, no, Donald Trump's going to get arrested.

00:22:04.080 Donald Trump's going to get indicted.

00:22:05.340 Is he going to be in handcuffs?

00:22:06.500 Is there going to be insurrection?

00:22:07.900 Is there going to be, you know, a Lee Harvey Oswald or Jack Ruby kind of situation?

00:22:11.780 We don't know.

00:22:12.260 Because they are trying to do everything they can to stop you from asking these very simple questions about why is it that our president and his family were receiving millions of dollars, millions of dollars from the Chinese Communist Party.

00:22:30.200 And we know that this energy corporation, CEFC in China, was directly controlled by the Chinese intelligence apparatus.

00:22:42.260 That's pretty simple, right?

00:22:44.440 I've explained it before.

00:22:46.180 It wasn't just that they were buying off the Biden's.

00:22:48.020 They were buying off politicians around the world in order for what?

00:22:51.580 The one belt, one road initiative.

00:22:54.240 Because in order to get that built, in order to get the road, the Silk Road built across the heartland of Central Asia all the way to Europe, because they want access to those markets for that trade, you've got to get through all the politicians in the way.

00:23:09.800 Then for the Maritime Silk Road, all of those choke points around the world, Tierra del Fuego, the Straits of Malacca, the Panama Canal, the Suez Canal, Babel Mendeb, the Persian Gulf. 0.86

00:23:24.120 Go through all of it.

00:23:26.180 Okay?

00:23:26.640 Straight of Hormuz.

00:23:29.320 What other strait do they control?

00:23:31.020 Oh, right.

00:23:31.820 One of the most powerful straits, the Taiwan Strait.

00:23:34.440 You see, do you understand the implications of what they're doing?

00:23:41.020 It's global domination.

00:23:43.380 And they want us to be the Chinese serfs.

00:23:45.160 They want us to be the consumers.

00:23:46.720 They want us not paying attention.

00:23:48.080 That we're going to be plugged into the metaverse and getting our pharmaceuticals jacked directly into our brains because that's what they want you to be.

00:23:57.700 The consumers of the world.

00:24:00.080 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.

00:24:02.660 One in the UK.
