00:08:31.020hidden trump shift and that the media is completely caught in shock because they haven't seen it coming

00:09:41.660place and all of a sudden people are looking back going you know what kind of feels like trump wasn't
00:09:48.620so bad after all and in fact more people are willing now to speak out about it plus you've got these crazy
00:09:56.620courtroom uh trials where they're putting this guy on up and they can't even define exactly what the
00:10:04.380crime is they can say oh you know he did this and they're claiming he had an affair even though they
00:10:08.620can't substantiate it and the person who was on the other end of the affair has already admitted that
00:10:13.020it wasn't true and there's all this stuff that's going on and yet people are looking at this going wait
00:10:19.500a minute we just want a country that isn't going to be flushed down the tubes basically
00:10:29.100and he's starting to cut into these demographics this is something where i completely now i'm sure by the
00:10:35.740way that most of what that journalist wrote and i read just a minute ago isn't entirely true about
00:10:40.940what said you know suddenly we got to her with the facts of the map yeah she did yeah but and everybody
00:10:46.380clapped right everyone around the table clapped and they all ran away sure but what i think is true
00:10:51.100is that she's realizing that some of her friends actually are trump supporters they are highly educated
00:10:57.660and this is something that's going on across the country and so in order to understand the latest
00:11:03.740numbers and the latest public opinion who else do we go to than the people's pundit rich barris rich

00:11:28.620she's looking at all this going wait a minute how is it that people who went to the ivy league
00:11:34.380who are highly educated and are extremely you know well uh you know well well educated and are doing
00:11:41.580well in their careers and those type of people support trump rich is there a shift that's actually
00:11:49.020going on in in of people and and this is what's key here this isn't the no propensity voters that you
00:11:54.940and i've been talking about this isn't even the rust belt of the working class these are non-traditional
00:11:59.820trump blocks here that are now shifting to the president i'm not saying that there's like you
00:12:04.860know this this i'm not saying it's like a hundred percent or anything like this but you are starting
00:12:09.500to see it you're starting to see the numbers move and i've got the abc poll and some others but i
00:12:14.140want to ask you in your work have you seen the numbers shifting in this direction at all yeah it looks a
00:12:19.740little bit like uh 2022's house generic ballot where advanced degrees you know that they're not
00:12:28.70070 30 anymore 65 66 33 something like that you're much closer and biden leads with them back but it's
00:12:36.540more like you know 56 to 40 you know so we are seeing that uh and we saw that in 22 as well which
00:12:44.620turned out to be the case that turned out to actually happen and that's why republicans did win the
00:12:49.260popular house vote uh look i think it comes down to this we just pulled and we're going to pull it
00:12:54.060again soon we're getting ready to but a couple of weeks ago when we looked at michigan it was
00:12:59.340interesting because it was more than just the working class that's in the detroit and greater detroit area
00:13:05.260right it's more than just macomb and monroe and parts of northern wayne it wasn't just that it was
00:13:13.180parts of oakland which biden thumped trump in last time 16 points it was only um a single digit lead
00:13:19.980for biden at that point and why what was there coming from there were professional class people
00:13:24.860who were i would say secondary tertiary you know level reliant on the auto industry who were saying
00:13:33.260you know what this is going to affect us too so uh things were things were more secure under donald trump
00:13:40.460than joe biden you know you can take those electric cars and stick them you know so everywhere is
00:13:45.260different but i think that generally speaking uh you know that look jack you can only go on so long
00:13:51.180with the 38 approval rating 40 approval rating and with you know 28 approval rating on inflation
00:13:57.340there was this sense that inflation was getting better and now it's getting red hot again i mean people
00:14:02.540are gonna get fatigue over this brother that and rich people get scared by political persecutions
00:14:08.380okay they get afraid they get they get scared more more than people may realize and understand
00:14:15.340because they're the ones who have things to lose well and speaking of things to lose rich so there's
00:14:21.340there's something that's that biden has put himself in and it's this huge catch 22 where he's boxed himself
00:14:26.700in because he's lost the entire far left wing in the state of michigan by the way is a state that he
00:14:32.860absolutely needs yeah so he's lost a lot of that over his israel stance by standing with israel by and
00:14:38.860he's you know he's made sort of like mealy mouth statements now ever since the polling came back
00:14:43.020but it's clear that these people are no longer for him anymore and so this is the flip side of it that
00:14:48.540people are missing in order to try to win back some of those votes what he's doing now and particularly
00:14:56.140with younger voters he's trying to throw out what i call blue meat he's trying to throw out these far
00:15:03.580of the far left policies completely radical to try to capture those back in what are some of the ones
00:15:10.380that we are hearing now taxes on the wealthy 44 capital gains tax and i'm telling you just as you said
00:15:19.500for the people who have something to lose you know we have tanya tay here on the other day and she
00:15:24.780completely you know someone who barely talks about you know uh you know economic issues usually talking
00:15:30.140about like kids and nutrition stuff she was going off on this one she was saying whoa wait a minute i
00:15:35.660came to this country with like 100 bucks in my pocket and now all of a sudden 44 if i want to sell
00:15:41.260something of what i earned is now going to go to the federal government that's crazy and so what biden
00:15:47.660has done is in order to try to try to win back some of those votes he's actually losing some of the
00:15:53.900votes that were already in his pocket and same thing goes with the with the student loan issue

00:16:27.660they have an education and they're almost done paying theirs off they will not qualify under biden's
00:16:32.780plan yet they're still gonna have to pay off the people who didn't uh you know do make make a smart

00:16:44.940and then you're succeeding it's a bit unfair to you that you have to pay off somebody else who took
00:16:50.540loans that they really never had any way to pay back and and haven't really made a good faith
00:16:55.100effort to do so because let's be real there are a lot of them and that makes that angers upper upper
00:17:01.500income you know people there it's like the old school wing of the republican party that now has
00:17:06.940shifted democrat those are the kind of things that they don't like yeah there's there's something where
00:17:13.420i'll put it this way i i think that's a tough issue because and i say this as someone who you know i i
00:17:19.500i don't like to kind of wear the millennial hat but i will at least be a a representative here i think
00:17:25.020i think in a lot of these indications in a lot of these instances you had colleges that were preying
00:17:30.300on students you had people going through the global financial crisis and being told oh just go into
00:17:36.940college take on more debt you'll be fine you'll come out the other end you'll be more competitive
00:17:41.980it'll be great and i remember i had friends who did this i had friends who i'm sure you did too who did
00:17:46.940this in the mid 2000s and came out and were left holding the bag who were absolutely holding the
00:17:53.580bag because the jobs never materialized and the people who bought houses before the market fell out
00:17:58.540under them i mean just it's it's bad it's actually really really bad come back on the break uh right

00:20:12.380starting to wound its way around in the election and get tighter and tighter of upper middle class

00:20:31.020happening on these campuses right now who does that affect that affects alumni that affects people who
00:20:36.780would be potential donors people who have enough disposable income to say wait a minute i'm going to
00:20:42.780cut off my donations because i don't like this this is repugnant this is ridiculous it's disgusting

00:21:27.020demographics out there and a lot of that there's a lot of switch swing voters within that demographic
00:21:32.540as well they can kind of go either way uh and they're very very susceptible to economic arguments
00:21:38.540and trump just dominates with that so that's something to watch you they live in upper class
00:21:42.940neighborhoods they're not um you know ivy league educated but they're doing well you know and if
00:21:48.060they're a pull your if you pull yourself up by the bootstrap kind of voter kind of person then you're
00:21:53.500going to be pretty trumpy at this point and that's going to be one of the first to switch the second
00:21:57.580thing i want to say is and i was gonna you know i was telling you on the break but i'll just say it
00:22:01.340i'll just you know come out i'll just come out and say it's me um i give to my alma mater uh you
00:22:08.140know annually we try to anyway i'm not that i'm a rich guy here i'm not but we try to be generous
00:22:14.060they actually called me and it was like a smooth over call you know hey we're just checking in on you
00:22:20.700making sure everything's okay what they wanted to know was whether or not i was pleased with how they
00:22:25.660handled those palestinian protests and what my alma mater made the news i mean this is one of uh
00:22:32.620those colleges that that was you know in the news last week consistently you know statement uh from
00:22:39.020the the head of the school everything you know so uh that was interesting that goes to show you
00:22:44.380that even they're aware on how that issue can affect demographics like me i'm educated you know
00:22:50.300i'm in a certain income bracket uh you would think i'm a democrat frankly you know so
00:22:54.780um they were calling to make sure that i was cool with this and not not that they expected me
00:23:02.380to be pro-palestinian i don't think that's what the call was at all i think they were making sure
00:23:08.060i knew that they handled business you know what i mean i really do so you you've got that so that look
00:23:16.300if these guys are out there putting out the donor calls putting out the calls to potential donors and
00:23:21.180current donors then that means they've already seen a shift because they're getting phone calls
00:23:26.140the other way they're getting response signal getting calls saying either i'm cutting off my
00:23:31.260donations or threatening and cut off donations because of what they see jack it was the woman i
00:23:36.300spoke i have spoken to about our contributions for two years in a row sometimes it changes but this has
00:23:42.380been the same woman now for two years that calls usually around the holidays hey how you been
00:23:47.420and it's you know why do we do it it's like hey look you know we were good the the school was good
00:23:52.140to you help help us be good to another student who was in your position you know so that's why we do
00:23:57.740what we do and we have a person that uh is kind of like an account manager you know i mean she's
00:24:03.660that's her job is to fundraise and to call people that they think are doing well enough that they can
00:24:08.460ask them for some coin and um that's who i got the call from so i mean it was like a hey rich how
00:24:14.300you do it kind of call so it wasn't even a cold call they're getting calls saying handle this right
00:24:20.780or i'm pulling the plug and i'm telling you that's that's telling that's very very telling
00:24:28.300and they did handle it well by the way i'll just say that they did and look we are in again folks
00:24:34.380we're in a marginal election why does this stuff worry worry you know is this is this just like
00:24:39.740administrivia is this marginal guess what you're in a marginal election you're in an election where
00:24:47.580the whole thing hinges and by the way so this is the big shift and bannon was talking about this
00:24:51.740morning on on war room it's like the whole media and axios and usa today are suddenly going out and
00:24:58.460they're like did you know that it turns out the entire election is only going to be decided by just
00:25:03.580six states and in fact it's only about six percent in those six states that's going to make the
00:25:08.940difference and i'm like wow if you would just listen to rich barris and human events daily for
00:25:13.420i don't know the past year that we've been banging this drum again and again we've got a graphic up if
00:25:19.900we could show it to everybody they're like oh these are the states that'll sway and i'm like this is
00:25:24.700what did you guys we talk about it literally every single week we've been saying it no but all of a
00:25:30.700sudden they're waking up so rich what is it what's the signal in the data that finally was like the
00:25:37.180you know the bat signal that just turned these guys on to make them finally start talking about
00:25:42.380it i i honestly seems to me like they're actually worried about joe biden uh for the first time
00:25:47.180yeah i mean not first of all not an original thought in these people's heads it really isn't i
00:25:51.660mean jack i mean they these people cannot generate an original thought they're not critical thinkers and
00:25:57.660that's a shame that that's the way our speaking of academia that's what our institutions are pushing
00:26:02.060these days look i think it really comes down to this um there are only a few demographics in this
00:26:07.980country that have been shifting to the left while even though republicans have done under you know
00:26:13.500underperformed or even done poorly in elections they thought they would do better in there are still
00:26:18.540only a handful of demographics that really are long-term or mid to long-term have been trending
00:26:23.580democratic and if there is any resistance or arresting in that trend uh in i mean we're
00:26:29.900talking about three we're talking about really three demographics and if there's any resistance
00:26:34.780or arresting in the trends of any of those three that's a real problem because there's no sign of
00:26:40.780the other trends that are in the republicans favor there's no sign of them slowing look at the pew
00:26:45.820research poll that just came out it's like rich barris the people's pundit and big data poll could
00:26:50.700release results for two years showing this trend with hispanics they won't care but once they watch
00:26:56.380you know put pew research it's like their gold standard once they see that they know they're in
00:27:01.660trouble they care they listen right so it's only four points with hispanics uh-oh i should have been
00:27:06.940paying attention and by the way look at the white vote that margin can't be achieved unless you
00:27:13.660recovered at least some of your educated vote that you lost so you know instead of it being again
00:27:20.14065 35 70 30 it's looking more like a um you know 57 40 50 and like you said these elections
00:27:28.620are are decided on the margin in this country and if you're at you know if you're closer to 40 with
00:27:35.260those who have a college degree or an advanced degree uh then you know then 33 you're in much
00:27:41.420better shape it's only 17 but god i'll take the 40 of 17 over 33 and any day of the week gives you
00:27:49.100more just gives you more the name of the game is addition not subtraction well that's exactly right
00:27:55.980and it's what trump's campaign is doing this is why he's going to f1 this is why he's going you know
00:28:04.140formula one race this is why he's going to the ufc fights this is why he's going you're going to see

00:28:13.820i would be shocked if trump isn't there if he isn't it's only because of like some court schedule

00:28:38.380these organizations work together in state after state to go after rich what you identified i think
00:28:44.060you were the first person in the country to identify the no propensity voters these are your
