00:01:01.160 Can you believe that?
00:01:02.420 Hard to believe.
00:01:03.400 Our hearts are shattered for the families of those beautiful children.
00:01:07.160 The Trump administration will have no tolerance for terrorism or political violence, and that includes hate crimes against Christians, Jews, or anybody else.

00:01:16.220 ICE is beefing up operations in the Windy City.
00:01:18.620 Over in Chicago, protests and outrage for their mission only grew larger over the weekend.
00:01:24.460 Immigration officers swept through Chicago streets with several arrests caught on camera.
00:01:29.300 President Trump says the mission is to make America's third largest city safer.
00:01:34.220 We're going to clean up our cities.
00:01:36.000 We're going to clean them up so they don't kill five people every weekend.
00:01:39.320 That's not war.
00:01:40.560 That's common sense.
00:01:41.500 Coming out of Center City, one person in custody tonight after a woman was shot and killed.
00:01:46.460 It all happened in the middle of the afternoon, right along a busy Chestnut Street.

00:02:06.440 A short time after that, Brown pulls out what appears to be a pocket knife and suddenly stabs her multiple times.
00:02:13.400 She died there at the scene.
00:02:15.000 Brown was arrested on the platform shortly after.
00:02:17.700 Just give my love and hope to the family of the young woman who was stabbed in Charlotte by a madman.
00:02:24.700 We have to be able to handle that.
00:02:27.160 If we don't handle that, we don't have a country.
00:02:30.660 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily.
00:02:34.540 We're here live, Washington, D.C.
00:02:37.280 Today is September 8th, Anno Domini, 2025.
00:02:42.320 Today is the birthday of Mary.
00:02:44.940 And President Trump just posted up on Truth Social, happy birthday to Mary, the Queen of Peace.
00:02:53.040 And posted a very famous statue of Mary as well.
00:02:57.120 A beautiful statue, a beautiful rendition of the Madonna and her son.
00:03:02.200 And, of course, one of the most cherished pieces of artwork, spiritually inspired artwork in the entire world.
00:03:13.160 And you can see this.
00:03:14.360 By the way, this is why Christian artwork is not replicable by atheists, because it was, in fact, handcrafted by angels.
00:03:23.100 But President Trump holding an incredible morning.
00:03:26.220 I got to be there with him.
00:03:27.700 I was in the room at the Museum of the Bible all morning today there as President Trump gave this incredible speech.
00:03:37.700 Just unbelievable to hear this from the words of an American president there at the Museum of the Bible.
00:03:44.200 Same stage, by the way, where, if you guys remember, we went to see the Narnia play, Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,
00:03:50.680 where it actually started a second run because it was so popular.
00:03:54.200 If you're in D.C., if you're coming to D.C. while they're having the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, please go.
00:03:59.460 It's amazing.
00:04:00.500 It's going to be so much better than anything or whatever it is that Greta Gerwig, the anti-male Greta Gerwig, is putting out on Netflix.
00:04:08.760 So please go see Narnia at the Museum of the Bible.
00:04:12.320 I'm not exactly sure how long it's running, a couple more weeks.
00:04:15.140 But President Trump up on that same stage today, giving a full-throated endorsement of religion in America.
00:04:23.140 There is no such thing as separation of church and state.
00:04:29.220 The First Amendment to our Constitution provides for the protection of the free expression of religion and the free practice of religion in our country.
00:04:40.500 And we heard from witness after witness of kids, young children who were in, I believe all of them were in public schools.
00:04:49.560 And they were told again and again, you can't sing that song.
00:04:54.720 You can't have that prayer group.
00:04:56.760 You can't give a speech where you give thanks to Jesus Christ, our King.
00:05:00.620 Even a little girl, this was, and for me, I just, heartbreaking, because she was told that even during COVID, even during COVID, that she couldn't wear a mask that said, Jesus loves me.
00:05:15.300 She was nine years old.
00:05:17.720 But they fought back.
00:05:19.540 The kids fought back.
00:05:21.400 The parents sided with the kids.
00:05:23.580 They went and they sought action.
00:05:25.380 And guess what?
00:05:26.020 The United States Constitution was on their side.
00:05:30.260 And now we have a president, President Trump, who's actually standing up for all this.
00:05:35.300 President Trump, whose life itself was handed to him by God when he was saved by a miracle.
00:05:44.800 When he was saved by the hand of God, by the sword of St. Michael the Archangel.
00:05:48.600 On a field in Butler, when he went through a, I would say transformation, but perhaps, I don't know, maybe in a, thinking a little bit more biblically today, maybe it was an anointing.
00:06:08.360 An anointing was performed on that field of miracles in Butler, Pennsylvania.
00:06:14.440 And it was great to be there.
00:06:17.920 President Trump, of course, spoke.
00:06:19.940 Bishop Barron was there.
00:06:21.020 Got to see Bishop Barron, Cardinal Dolan, my buddy Eric Metaxas, a few other friends.
00:06:26.020 And we're going to talk all about all of that as we continue the show.
00:06:30.100 But President Trump also spoke very forcefully about a lot of the violence that we've seen lately.
00:06:35.260 The horrific violence in Charlotte, North Carolina, a young Ukrainian refugee slaughtered to death on a train and two Catholic children who were killed while attending mass by a demonic.
00:06:48.800 And President Trump used the word.
00:06:51.940 President Trump used the word demonic for the killing of these children because that's what it was.
00:06:59.840 Demonic.
00:07:01.200 And they are child martyrs now.
00:07:02.960 They are child martyrs for the Christian faith on American soil.
00:07:09.100 And thank God we have a president who's standing up to do something about it and has now started not only the law and order portion, but a new initiative called America Praise, which I'm happy to say that I'm going to be a supporter of.
00:07:22.260 So be right back here.
00:07:23.560 Lots to talk about human events daily.
00:07:26.980 Nothing will stand in our way.
00:07:29.200 And our golden age has just begun.
00:07:31.360 This is human events with Jack Posobiec.
00:07:33.320 Now it's time for everyone to understand what America First truly means.
00:07:38.000 Welcome to the second American revolution.
00:07:42.420 All right, folks, Jack Posobiec.
00:07:47.180 Here we are back live human events daily.
00:07:50.020 We're in Washington, D.C.
00:07:52.600 Folks, right now, all patriots within the sound of my voice, go to patriotmobile.com slash POSO.
00:07:59.580 All patriots, again, rush to patriotmobile.com slash POSO.
00:08:04.060 Give them a call, 972-PATRIOT.
00:08:06.560 And you, right now, can get a free month of service with promo code POSO.
00:08:12.120 Look, you got a lot of options for your cell phone provider.
00:08:15.980 We know we do.
00:08:16.560 We all do.
00:08:17.320 You've seen the gimmicks.
00:08:18.320 You've seen the ads.
00:08:19.540 But here's what they don't tell you.
00:08:21.360 Those providers are going out and giving your hard-earned dollars, your family's hard-earned dollars that you work for every day, that you strive for, that you suffer for, that you sweat for.
00:08:32.720 And they're handing it, right, because we all need cell phone providers in this day and age to interact with the economy.
00:08:39.800 They're handing it over to people who hate you.
00:08:43.020 They're using their ESG policies, and they're handing it over to woke organizations, and they're using it to fund the destruction of our country.
00:08:51.460 So why not give it to people who also use that money for what?
00:08:56.920 Funding the support and betterment and taking back of our country.
00:09:01.240 I call it a little economic warfare.
00:09:04.440 It's called we do a little economic warfare.
00:09:06.600 So all patriots go to patriotmobile.com slash POSO.
00:09:09.280 That's patriotmobile.com slash POSO.
00:09:11.440 Give them a call, 972-PATRIOT.

00:09:17.900 You can see right on their site.
00:09:19.420 Remember, that site is patriotmobile.com slash POSO.
00:09:21.360 All the things that they do to support our first responders, our Second Amendment groups, our First Amendment groups, our religious liberty groups, which we're going to be talking about in just a second here on the program.
00:09:34.320 That's Patriot Mobile, and they are the only ones who are going to do it.
00:09:37.600 That's why you need to go and support them.
00:09:40.760 Someone else who supports religious liberty and the exercise of religion, but also the truth of religion and standing up for the truth in a way that she always stands up because she's never going to back down is Megan Basham.
00:09:56.620 She joins us now.
00:09:57.820 She's a New York Times bestselling journalist from The Daily Wire.
00:10:02.640 And in fact, her book Shepherds for Sale is incredibly linked to everything we're going to be talking about today.
00:10:08.540 Megan, how are you?
00:10:09.180 I'm good, Jack.
00:10:10.640 Thanks for having me.
00:10:11.440 I appreciate being here.
00:10:13.400 Well, you know, it's amazing because we were, you know, we had already booked you today, and we knew the president was going to be giving a speech on religious liberty.
00:10:22.880 I did not, and I was in the room.
00:10:24.860 I was, I'll just, you know, ask you what your thoughts were.
00:10:28.240 I did not expect him to go as hard as he did this morning.
00:10:30.840 He went all the way in.
00:10:32.900 He went absolutely in the paint and said, America must return to Christ.
00:10:37.560 And he made the argument, he linked it to crime and violence and decay in a way that, you know, I mean, this is a very Christian understanding that society is based around this content.
00:10:52.160 And it's amazing because you're seeing it from, and he mentioned in the speech, he said, look, I'm a businessman.
00:10:56.920 I don't come from your world.
00:10:58.760 I don't come from the religious background.
00:11:01.160 That's, you know, that's, he of course grew up attending sermons with Norman Vincent Peale.
00:11:05.400 I think that's been reported a number of times and, you know, certainly has adopted a lot of his speaking aphorisms and mannerisms, but, you know, positivity.
00:11:13.400 But, you know, at the same time, he's not exactly known for his religious pronouncements.
00:11:18.760 And here he is saying, look, we need to bring faith back into America for America to get out of the situation we're in.
00:11:25.000 It was nothing short of incredible.
00:11:26.440 Yeah, and I think we're seeing two different parts of Trump here.
00:11:30.300 In the one sense, you know, after what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, I think we have seen a transformed president here.
00:11:36.760 I don't know how you can look at those events and not see Providence's hand on him.
00:11:40.860 It clearly is.
00:11:41.880 We know that God ordains leaders.
00:11:43.880 He ordains when empires rise and fall.
00:11:46.240 And, you know, whether you like it or not, he ordained that Donald Trump would be president of the United States.
00:11:51.460 And so as Trump is carrying out these policies, I think we see him seeing both sides of the coin of what needs to happen to restore the United States to its great moral glory.
00:12:03.700 So on the one hand, we need a government that does what Romans 13 tells us that the government should do, and that is terrorize the wicked for the benefit of the innocent.
00:12:13.980 And for a long time, we have not seen that in our political leadership.
00:12:17.420 We have seen people that wanted to terrorize the innocent by allowing the wicked to run free.
00:12:23.640 And that's what we've seen.
00:12:24.800 So Trump is dealing with that part of the issue.
00:12:27.180 But on the other side, we also have that famous John Adams aphorism that our republic cannot function unless we have a moral religious people.
00:12:37.260 And I think that Trump clearly sees that, too.
00:12:39.680 He sees that we need a people who understands where their moral grounding comes from.
00:12:44.640 And that comes from the Bible and it comes from Christianity.
00:12:47.420 So he's openly acknowledging that.
00:12:49.300 I think that's a wonderful thing.
00:12:50.700 What's a little disappointing to me, and it is something that I covered in my book, Shepherds for Sale, is how little support he has gotten from some of the mainstream, really well-known pastors who you think would be celebrating this effort.
00:13:05.020 But I think a lot of them did not back him in the election.
00:13:08.300 And so what you have is a pastorate that is now ashamed that they did not see what so many of the rank and file in the pews saw when they went ahead and pulled that lever for Trump.
00:13:20.000 And so now, you know, they're trying to sort of subtly shift their position, but they're not talking about these issues anymore.
00:13:26.520 And I think in a large part because they know that they didn't support the president.
00:13:30.660 We have a lot of pastors who did support the president.
00:13:32.500 But I want to be clear that, you know, those who sit at the top of some of our most elite institutions, organizations like the National Association of Evangelicals or Christianity Today, they opposed him.
00:13:44.260 And I don't see how they can help be anything but shamed when they look at the positions he's taking now.
00:13:51.060 I mean, it's truly amazing.
00:13:53.220 And, you know, I remember having had this argument with so many Christians going all the way back to 2015, 2016.
00:14:01.720 And I said, you know, God often works through imperfect instruments.
00:14:06.280 And if you've actually read the Bible and understood what these examples, that it would say, how could I vote for a person like that?
00:14:17.920 I said, what do you mean?
00:14:19.760 Just read it.
00:14:20.840 Read the stories that are in the Bible.
00:14:22.680 Read the stories that are listed for us.
00:14:24.640 The historical narrative that it's again and again and again.
00:14:27.660 What God does is he takes imperfect vessels and he holds them up and uses them and anoints them to, in many cases, to rule nations and to make those nations greater.
00:14:39.420 Now, I'm not going to sit here and say, you know, that Donald Trump is, you know, has the hand of God, but, you know, in every little thing that he does or something.
00:14:47.400 But when you step back and you have to say something is at work here, something bigger and something absolutely stronger is at work.
00:14:54.860 You see this in voting patterns, you see this with the president.
00:14:57.160 And he's clearly, clearly a man who's now discussing faith much more openly and much more freely than he ever has before.
00:15:05.300 And it obviously happened or, you know, made that change there in Butler, Pennsylvania last year.
00:15:12.140 Yeah, I absolutely see that.
00:15:14.200 And I'll be honest, I don't see how you can read scripture and look at this presidency and not see that.
00:15:20.340 Proverbs tells us the the heart of the king is in the Lord's hands and he's going to direct it in any direction that he wants.
00:15:27.140 And I think he has directed it in such a way in the previous administration that a lot of things were revealed that, you know, have been disturbing.
00:15:34.720 And there was a level of rot there that we have needed to address for a long time.
00:15:38.380 And I think that has been providentially revealed.
00:15:40.300 And I think it was providentially revealed by a unique personality, let's say, that had the fortitude to continue to fight when most of us would have given up.
00:15:50.500 So, you know, when I look at this, I just go, Lord, if you had put me in that position, I have such a personality that I don't know if I could have withstood that kind of lawfare, that kind of onslaught.
00:15:59.640 And so it did take a unique personality to be able to do that.
00:16:03.180 And I absolutely, as a Christian, have to believe because scripture tells me that God ordains the times of men.
00:16:09.540 So this is ordained.
00:16:11.140 And, you know, as somebody who is living in Charlotte, as we just saw this incredible, shocking, horrific crime play out, I go, thank you, Lord, that we have someone in the White House right now who is looking at what's happening in our inner cities and saying,
00:16:26.600 I have been invested by God with the sword of authority, with the sword of government, and I'm going to use it for the good of the people.
00:16:35.480 And that's what we see him doing in cleaning up Chicago and cleaning up Washington, D.C.
00:16:41.440 And so I really hope that my own state in the wake of this horrific murder and increasing crime rates follow suit.
00:16:49.840 Well, I couldn't agree more.
00:16:51.460 And we're coming up, we've got a couple of minutes until the break, but I want to get deeper into that specific story with you in the next segment.
00:16:59.300 By the way, I'd love to throw on that list Philadelphia because not only is that, you know, I'm from that area originally, but I grew up in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, going to those schools.
00:17:08.280 But, you know, if we're doing this super centennial, I love that name so much better, super centennial next year, well, we've got to clean up Philadelphia.
00:17:15.800 We don't have much time. We've got, what, nine months between now and July 4th, 2026.
00:17:23.720 So time's a wasting. And that's great. We're doing Baltimore. That's great.
00:17:27.520 And it's really every city, though. It's really every city.
00:17:30.860 And we need to actually get up and say what's right.
00:17:35.240 We just saw, you know, Philadelphia, this is crazy, some kind of shootout, right?
00:17:39.700 And this is Center City. This is this is a place where, you know, that we're like the nice shops are where you would go and go out with your kids for shopping on a Sunday.
00:17:49.060 And here we have and, you know, we saw this video of a guy standing over a girl and shooting her in the street.
00:17:57.480 And there's some more information that's coming out that saying she had the gun first and then he got the gun off of her.
00:18:03.580 And it's just horrific. The whole thing's crazy. We don't know what's going on here, but we know it's wrong.
00:18:08.760 Right. You know, people want to say, oh, well, she had the guys. It's nuts.
00:18:12.260 It's completely nuts. And our cities have gotten chaotic.
00:18:15.620 And yet you talk to the you talk to the D.A. there.
00:18:18.020 We are our illustrious Soros D.A. Larry Krasner in in Philadelphia.
00:18:22.540 And he'll say Trump's the problem. He'll say all this is Trump's fault.
00:18:25.780 Right. And you're seeing the same thing here in Charlotte.
00:18:28.600 You know, I don't know that we have quite the crime rate that probably Philadelphia has.
00:18:32.160 But just as you said, you know, that's a popular shopping area that it's it's not known as a dangerous part of town.
00:18:37.960 The exact same story for this terrible death of Irina Zerutska, the Ukrainian refugee who came here to escape a war torn country.
00:18:47.340 And it turns out she might have been safer in Ukraine.
00:18:51.000 She was in an area of town that is very popular.
00:18:54.840 It's got trendy boutiques, trendy shops, restaurants.
00:18:58.620 My family and I go there regularly.
00:19:00.500 One of my favorite restaurants is right by that train stop.
00:19:03.980 So, you know, it was really astonishing to me to see that it's not just happening in areas where you go, oh, that's a dangerous area.
00:19:10.720 It's unsafe. We'll just avoid it.
00:19:12.040 No, it's happening in areas where everyone knows.
00:19:13.980 It's broken out everywhere.
00:19:14.920 Megan, we've got a we're coming up on our break right now.
00:19:17.240 I want to dig into this story, the story of Irina Zerutska.
00:19:21.140 It'll be up next to you in events daily.
00:19:22.600 Real America's Voice.
00:19:23.280 You know, they talk about influences.
00:19:28.300 These are influences and they're friends of mine.
00:19:32.560 Jack Posobiec.
00:19:34.040 Where's Jack?
00:19:35.020 Jack.
00:19:35.960 He's done a great job.
00:19:37.920 All right, Jack Posobiec.
00:19:41.540 We're back here live at Human Events Daily.
00:19:44.220 We're on with Megan Basham.
00:19:45.720 She's out of Charlotte, North Carolina.
00:19:47.840 She's also a journalist with the Daily Wire.
00:19:50.320 And this horrific killing of Irina Zerutska, a Ukrainian refugee, young girl, young blonde girl.
00:20:00.760 You know, I don't think her being Ukrainian actually had anything to do with it other than just adds to the tragedy that she was trying to flee a war torn country and ends up being killed herself here in the United States where she's supposed to be to be saved.
00:20:14.020 And President Trump brought this up earlier today.
00:20:17.120 I want to try to pull this clip.
00:20:18.120 I'm going to see if the guys can get it, but in a speech that I was attending at the Museum of the Bible, he was referring to this horrific video.
00:20:24.240 And he said, essentially, you have to do horrible things to stop horrible things.
00:20:30.500 And as disgusting as it was, you could hear it.
00:20:34.920 You could hear in his voice a father's heart where he's got two daughters and the resolve that we must respond with force, with military, law enforcement, whatever it is, to stop all of this.
00:20:50.100 Megan, why was this person sitting behind her on this train?
00:20:54.500 Yeah, that's a really good question.
00:20:57.420 And, you know, I want to start by just highlighting some of the responses of the media and our local leadership here in North Carolina, because obviously the legacy media has had a total blockout on this story until this morning when they finally started talking about it a little bit because of the outcry.
00:21:12.880 And then you've got our Democrat governor, who, after more than two weeks, finally acknowledged this murder after massive public shaming.
00:21:23.180 And then you have our mayor, who put out her initial statement, did not mention the victim at all.
00:21:29.500 In fact, she called for empathy and compassion for the perpetrator.
00:21:32.900 She said, we will never arrest our way out of issues such as homelessness and mental health.
00:21:38.280 I want to be clear that I'm not villainizing those who struggle with mental health or who are unhoused.
00:21:43.800 Mental health is just a disease like any other and deserves compassion like cancer or heart disease.
00:21:50.520 So she is comparing this violent killer on the streets to someone with cancer or heart disease.
00:21:57.160 Now, the reason that they're putting out this kind of rhetoric and the reason that our mayor, Lye Viles, was out thanking the media who chose not to share this video is because they don't want you to know about the policies that led to it.
00:22:08.900 So immediately in the wake of George Floyd's death back in 2020, our current governor was then attorney general.
00:22:15.980 He's a Democrat.
00:22:16.940 Josh Stein.
00:22:17.700 He instituted a task force in racial equity in criminal justice.
00:22:26.000 So kind of a mouthful.
00:22:27.520 But so he instituted this racial justice task force that was supposed to reform our policing and court system.
00:22:34.460 Well, here's the policies it put in place.
00:22:36.940 Expanded pre-trial release, which means they wanted minority arrests to be released with little or no bail.
00:22:46.180 They also wanted to decriminalize homelessness and what they called public behavior, meaning basically being a menace on the public streets.
00:22:55.060 Now, this man, DeCarlos Brown, was arrested 14 times before, including for grand larceny, breaking and entering, assault with a deadly weapon.
00:23:06.240 He had had many arrests.
00:23:08.140 So the problem here was not policing.
00:23:09.660 In fact, he had four encounters, I think, in 2024 with this CMPD.
00:23:16.800 And every time, and in this case, you know, it was the public behavior, being homeless, creating a menace on the streets.
00:23:23.200 Every time they released him to resources, they didn't jail him.
00:23:27.420 His most recent arrest was in January.
00:23:30.140 And in that case, he called 911 from a hospital.
00:23:33.880 He was apparently freaking out at the hospital.
00:23:35.860 The hospital staff didn't know how to deal with him.
00:23:37.760 They called the police when, you know, he was saying there was something inside his body that was man-made and controlling him.
00:23:44.100 So the police, not knowing how to handle him, at that point, you know, told him to just disperse.
00:23:49.260 And instead, he called 911.
00:23:50.700 Well, when he went before the judge on these charges, even though he has this long history,
00:23:56.480 and even though he's clearly a violent threat and being diagnosed with schizophrenia,
00:24:01.000 she once again released him on pre-trial release.
00:24:05.000 Now, that's really important to know because that is what this task force pushed for.
00:24:09.580 These were the policies that Josh Stein's racial equity task force pushed for.
00:24:14.580 And now we see the results.
00:24:16.340 And, you know, it's not just in this one case.
00:24:18.360 This case is getting a lot of attention, as it should.
00:24:21.020 But if you look at the statistics, homicides in Charlotte are up 25 percent last year.
00:24:27.200 And it was the second highest year on record.
00:24:30.620 The first highest was 2020 when we indulged the Black Lives Matter riots.
00:24:35.340 Shootings into occupied properties are up 40 percent since 2020.
00:24:40.160 We have all kinds of crimes like that.
00:24:42.400 Our violent crime rate is skyrocketing.
00:24:44.180 And it's specifically because of the policies that came out of that Black Lives Matter social justice moment
00:24:50.060 where suddenly they said, well, we have to have racial equity so we can't jail these violent offenders.
00:24:56.140 Instead, we have to give them pre-trial release.
00:24:58.440 And that's what happened here.
00:25:00.740 And Megan, you wrote about in your—let's connect it back to religion now because you wrote about this,
00:25:06.560 how there are so many in Shepherds for Sale that there are many churches now or faith-based organizations
00:25:12.600 that are also preaching this incredibly, incredibly radical social justice.
00:25:17.040 Yeah, and, you know, I'll tell you what's really disturbing to me is that so many of these pastors,
00:25:22.620 one of the, you know, most followed, most known pastors in the country is Stephen Furtick.
00:25:28.460 He's right here in Charlotte.
00:25:30.300 He was certainly someone who was prominently promoting Black Lives Matter.
00:25:34.440 He frequently posted about George Floyd, did the Black Square, all of that.
00:25:39.740 He has said nothing about this death in his own backyard.
00:25:43.120 I can name a number of other North Carolina well-known pastors.
00:25:47.780 The former president of the Southern Baptist Convention, which is the largest Protestant denomination in the United States,
00:25:54.460 its president, J.D. Greer, is a pastor here in Raleigh.
00:25:57.840 He also promoted Black Lives Matter.
00:26:00.320 He said that evangelicals should use the slogan and support their police reforms.
00:26:05.440 He has also said nothing about this death in his own state.
00:26:08.540 And it's really important because these are the pastors who helped legitimize these false Black Lives Matter claims
00:26:15.580 that we had racial injustice in our policing and court system.
00:26:20.160 And these were the their support of these things helped gin up public support to back these policies
00:26:26.260 that are now increasing our crime rates and making us unsafe in our city centers.
00:26:30.560 So now you have a new administration that has to come in and deal with these problems.
00:26:34.320 It's sick. It's disgusting.
00:26:39.180 But you know what?
00:26:40.300 We've got truth on our side and we're going to fight back.
00:26:43.140 Megan Basham, you are fighting back.
00:26:44.980 Tell people where they can follow you, where they can get the book.
00:26:47.920 You can find me on Twitter at at Meg Basham, Instagram at journalist Megan Basham.
00:26:52.780 And you can buy Shepherds for sale where I go into a lot of how these pastors supported Black Lives Matter
00:26:58.580 and the social justice movement really anywhere books are sold.
00:27:01.740 Megan Basham, go give her a follow, folks.
00:27:06.020 Thank you so much for being here once again on Human Events Daily.
00:27:10.060 We're going to get into more about the America Praise Initiative with John Yep.
00:27:15.140 Catholics for Catholics joins us next here on Real America's Voice Human Events Daily.
00:27:18.920 Jack, where is Jack?
00:27:27.280 Where's Jack?
00:27:29.400 Where is he?
00:27:30.660 Jack, I want to see you.
00:27:34.320 Great job, Jack.
00:27:35.760 Thank you.
00:27:36.540 What a job you do.
00:27:37.960 You know, we have an incredible thing.
00:27:39.360 We're always talking about the fake news and the bad.
00:27:41.640 But we have guys and these are the guys who should be getting Pulisic.
00:27:45.120 Jack Posobiec back live here.
00:27:49.400 Human Events Daily, Washington, D.C.
00:27:52.900 You want to play?
00:27:53.940 I know we have a couple more clips from President Trump's speech.
00:27:57.060 One specifically, he talked about what his policy is when we have horrible killings.
00:28:04.960 There are evil people.
00:28:07.240 We're all people of religion, but there are evil people, and we have to confront that.
00:28:11.200 I just give my love and hope to the family of the young woman who was stabbed this morning
00:28:16.200 or last night in Charlotte by a madman, a lunatic, just got up and started.
00:28:22.380 It's right on the tape.
00:28:24.120 Not really watchable because it's so horrible.
00:28:26.660 But just viciously stabbed.
00:28:29.420 She's just sitting there.
00:28:31.000 So they're evil people.
00:28:32.600 We have to be able to handle that.
00:28:35.020 If we don't handle that, we don't have a country.
00:28:37.400 You know, when you have horrible killings, you have to take horrible actions.
00:28:41.320 And the actions that we take are nothing.
00:28:43.860 This cashless bail started a wave in our country where a killer kills somebody and is out on the street by the afternoon.
00:28:52.000 You know, in many cases, going out and killing again, cashless bail.
00:28:56.880 And you try and reason with people like in Chicago with the governor and the mayor.
00:29:01.540 You try and reason with them, and it's like you're talking to a wall.
00:29:05.160 It's just doesn't – I assume it's just a political ideology.
00:29:08.940 They're not stupid people.
00:29:10.540 It must be an ideology that's just buried in their head, and you can't do a damn thing about it.
00:29:15.680 And we'd love to go into Chicago and straighten it out.
00:29:18.620 But, you know, Washington, D.C., you'll be happy to know, is a free and safe zone.
00:29:23.900 It's so safe right now.
00:29:28.560 I mean, just sitting there and hearing President Trump talk about this confronting evil.
00:29:37.640 Actually, and guys, do we actually have the clip where he talked about the Minneapolis shooting?
00:29:41.480 Because I want to play that as well, if we have that clip.
00:29:44.780 Okay.
00:29:48.620 Two weeks ago in Minneapolis, a demonic killer shot 21 people and murdered the two precious children at a Catholic school.
00:30:01.360 Can you believe that?
00:30:02.560 Hard to believe.
00:30:03.480 And time goes by, and people say, oh, I sort of remember it.
00:30:07.460 But I remember it.
00:30:08.340 I'll always remember it.
00:30:09.360 What a horrible thing.
00:30:11.320 Too many happens too much.
00:30:13.100 Our hearts are shattered for the families of those beautiful children.
00:30:17.340 And I've made clear Attorney General Pam Bondi is working really hard that we must get answers about the causes of these repeated attacks.
00:30:26.480 And we're working very, very hard on that.
00:30:29.360 The Trump administration will have no tolerance for terrorism or political violence.
00:30:33.640 And that includes hate crimes against Christians, Jews, or anybody else.
00:30:37.300 We're not going to allow them.
00:30:40.740 And one more.
00:30:41.820 I want to get into President Trump talking about anti-Christian bias.
00:30:45.920 And I created the first ever Department of Justice task force to eradicate anti-Christian bias.
00:30:52.220 And for those people that are a little bit naive or not well-read, there is a tremendous anti-Christian bias.
00:31:06.540 We don't hear about it.
00:31:07.440 We don't think about it.
00:31:08.540 You hear about anti-Semitic, but you don't hear about anti-Christian.
00:31:12.660 Now, you have a strong anti-Christian bias, but we're ending that rapidly.
00:31:17.040 I will tell you it's a whole.
00:31:18.600 We're in a much different world today than we were one year ago.
00:31:21.640 This is like a perfect world.
00:31:27.060 There you go, folks.
00:31:28.120 President Trump throwing down, absolutely throwing down this morning at the Museum of the Bible.
00:31:34.720 He talked about the ideology, the sick ideology, the indoctrination.
00:31:39.740 We call it communism, Marxism.
00:31:43.100 They're sick in the head, and they can't be reasoned with.
00:31:45.540 That's what he said.
00:31:46.620 Sometimes when you have horrible killings, you have to take horrible action.
00:31:51.640 And he talked about the shootings.
00:31:53.700 He used the word demonic about Minneapolis.
00:31:57.040 And he talked about the anti-Christian bias prevalence in America that goes almost completely unheard of.
00:32:04.520 And I'm glad that my president walked up that mic and talked about it.
00:32:09.180 John Yep, the founder of Catholics for Catholics, joins us now.
00:32:12.680 He was also in the room, seated a little behind me, a little behind me.
00:32:17.920 But I guess he's on the other side.
00:32:18.960 We didn't connect there.
00:32:19.640 So we're connecting here.
00:32:21.620 And, John, hearing the president of the United States speak about the demonic in such uncertain terms, I mean, what a sea change it's been from one year ago to now.
00:32:32.780 Absolutely, it has.
00:32:35.340 Trump even said it himself.
00:32:36.780 What a difference between last year and this year.
00:32:39.920 And we're seeing it just, you know, one to this morning was an example of that.
00:32:44.020 Here you have the most powerful person in the world, president of the United States, taking time out of his day to go to the Museum of the Bible.
00:32:52.360 No, not the Museum of the Koran, Museum of the Bible.
00:32:55.620 That in itself is significant, too.
00:32:57.840 And just to go there and to have this panel looking specifically at where is the anti-Christian bias that we have seen on a pattern over these past years, specifically in our schools.
00:33:10.140 So to have those representatives there and to hear Trump take questions like that, it was very important for America to watch what was said during that hearing.
00:33:17.940 Well, and I think, too, as well, talking about, and, of course, J.D. Vance, the vice president, and his wife flew up to that school, Annunciation Catholic School, up there in Minneapolis after experiencing what they experienced.
00:33:36.720 But, you know, to hear the president get into these theological terms, post the image of Our Lady on her birthday, today is the Nativity of Our Lady, and, you know, really going up and saying that, and he's done this for a long, I had Dr. Taylor Marshall on the other day, and the very first time President Trump ever tweeted out one of our interviews, it was me and Dr. Taylor Marshall talking about the war on Christianity.
00:34:02.180 It was five years ago, and here we are today talking about the exact same thing in action, and it seems to me, and, John, you were instrumental in your group in putting up those billboards about St. Michael the Archangel, one of which went up right outside the fairgrounds there in Butler County, Pennsylvania.
00:34:20.900 Talk to me about the importance of Butler in President Trump's, I'm just going to say it, it feels like he's been anointed.
00:34:27.700 There is a special anointing that has seemed to have gone on, right?
00:34:32.960 You know, Catholics for Catholics, we were very involved in the last election, getting President Trump elected, chasing out ballots, doing the hard work, and it's only fitting now that we want to join President Trump or one of the official organizations joining the White House in this campaign of prayer that he has.
00:34:48.660 Now, why would President Trump want to do a campaign of prayer?
00:34:51.960 Because I think you're right, Jack, you know, when he went down on the floor of Butler in that incredible book that you wrote, he came up a different person, right?
00:35:01.060 God anointed him in a special way, and I think he's very cognizant that his time is short.
00:35:07.060 Even look at his comments about Ukraine.
00:35:08.880 Wasn't that so interesting when he was saying the other day, look, you know, I want to stop the war, but why did he say that?
00:35:14.580 He said, look, because he said it in reference to heaven, okay, I mean, would that every world leader would make their decision based off the fact that, yeah, you're going to die one day, and either you're going to end up in heaven or in hell.
00:35:27.280 So I think, you know, Trump has this very much present in his mind, and it's great to see it, but we have to keep supporting him because it is a spiritual warfare, as we saw in Minnesota last week.
00:35:37.180 Now, you know, you know, it's funny because Politico this morning was talking about Trump's religion, and, you know, has Trump found religion?
00:35:45.980 And they said most of the time he only talks about religion in terms of architecture and artwork, and of course it's the most beautiful in the world because it was designed by angels.
00:35:54.060 But I texted them and I said, he just said he wants to get into heaven.
00:35:57.100 I texted someone I know who works at Politico.
00:35:59.320 I said, don't leave that out.
00:36:00.760 You can't leave that out because something has changed since Butler in him where I think he's always had respect for religion.
00:36:09.680 I think he's always had a level of reverence for religion, but something happened.
00:36:14.780 And that's, John, and you and I talked about this offline, but when I wrote that book of Bulletproof and it came time to choose the cover, why did I choose the cover?
00:36:22.360 Not with the fist up, but where he's down, where President Trump is down and his hands are clasped in front of him, and it almost seems as though he's in prayer.
00:36:33.120 And you see that light streaming through sort of the hole, and you can actually, that's actually the shoe of the Secret Service agent cutting across.
00:36:41.940 And, you know, there's that video of the president talking about the book, and he's holding it up.
00:36:48.140 But he actually asked me why I chose that for the cover instead of the other picture, and I said, because, Mr. President, this is the moment that allowed the next moment.
00:36:59.780 This was the moment that the message was sent.
00:37:08.120 That's right.
00:37:08.960 And, Jack, I'm glad you brought up the whole beauty.
00:37:11.180 Yes, Trump has a special knack for seeing beauty in architecture or whatever, and let's not knock that, because, you know, the scholastics actually had a term for that.
00:37:20.600 When a soul would find God through beauty, they called it the via pulchriturines, the way of beauty.
00:37:26.820 So that, you know, by all means, beauty does speak to Trump, and, you know, I think that has led in a powerful way to him searching out for God and realizing that there's deeper meaning in life.
00:37:38.380 That's exactly right.
00:37:41.760 John, we got to run.
00:37:43.360 Tell people, I know you're here literally on your way back to the airport, getting back to the fam.
00:37:47.860 Where can people go to follow you and see everything that Catholics for Catholics is up to?
00:37:51.920 Yeah, I appreciate the Uber hit, Jack, and the little car bouncing.
00:37:56.000 But you can go follow us at CFORC.com or just Google Catholics for Catholics.
00:38:00.540 Also, continuing on the White House's idea for prayer, we will be doing a Catholic prayer for America in Washington, D.C. next March.
00:38:08.640 So follow us there, and we hope to see you there.
00:38:12.340 I'll be there, John.
00:38:13.520 I will be there.
00:38:15.660 Make America pray again.
00:38:18.800 Jack Pesilic, right back, Real America's Voice.
00:38:20.160 Jack Pesilic, right back, Human Events, Daily, Washington, D.C.
00:38:48.580 We just played that clip, President Trump talking about the book Bulletproof, looking at the cover that we were just showing.
00:38:54.240 And I don't know if I've ever told that story before about what he said when he asked me why I chose that pick as the cover.
00:39:00.440 Funny backstory, a little program note for you that that video that you just saw of President Trump and myself was actually filmed by Charlie Kirk.
00:39:09.860 We're all back there and just kind of worked out that way.
00:39:12.960 So appreciate that, Charlie, as always.
00:39:15.120 And again, that was why we chose it.
00:39:18.660 But there's a little something else that I want to switch gears a little bit to talk about as not just a religious guy,
00:39:26.160 but I got to talk about this as a lifetime, lifelong Philadelphia sports fan.
00:39:31.900 And I grew up going to Phillies games, the vet with my dad.
00:39:38.180 And, you know, something that happens at those Phillies games, foul balls and even the far more elusive and far more valuable home runs.
00:39:49.800 And this video went mega viral over the weekend.
00:39:54.500 I've gone viral for talking about it and coming down on it because while everybody wants to talk about the bad behavior of the Philly Karen,
00:40:03.040 the Philadelphia Karen here or the Phillies Karen is actually down in Miami where this game was held.
00:40:09.540 Nobody seems to be talking about the bad behavior of the father.
00:40:15.100 However, no one other than myself is pointing out or at least was pointing out that this father is actually the one who's more at fault.
00:40:23.920 And here's why.
00:40:24.480 Here's why people say she took the ball from the son.
00:40:30.620 People say that she took the ball from the little kid.
00:40:33.180 But excuse me, go look at the video.
00:40:35.920 Just watch it.
00:40:36.720 It's right there.
00:40:37.460 You can all see it.
00:40:38.040 She didn't take the ball from the kid.
00:40:39.340 She didn't take the ball from the kid once.
00:40:42.320 What did she do?
00:40:43.280 This entitled, loud, angry Karen.
00:40:47.360 She yelled.
00:40:48.240 She pointed fingers.
00:40:49.580 But who took the ball from the boy?
00:40:51.920 It wasn't her.
00:40:53.320 It was his own father.
00:40:55.380 His own father on his birthday took a home run ball from his son's glove and handed it over to this shrieking harpy.
00:41:06.420 Then he gave an interview.
00:41:08.440 Whole family gave an interview.
00:41:09.740 So we got that for you.
00:41:10.860 Let's play it now.
00:41:11.380 I wasn't very happy that we had to give it to her.
00:41:15.840 But we can't win.
00:41:19.620 She was going to get it anyways.
00:41:22.400 Sure.
00:41:23.120 She wasn't going to take it.
00:41:24.660 But I decided to give her the ball.
00:41:28.060 I apologize to you.
00:41:29.880 But it was the right thing.
00:41:33.800 We just wanted her to go away.
00:41:35.940 Yeah.
00:41:36.660 And it worked out.
00:41:37.520 You got a bat.
00:41:38.940 Yeah.
00:41:39.980 Pretty cool.
00:41:42.100 Dad, do you have any regrets giving the ball back?
00:41:44.260 Yeah, like I said, it's, you know, that was what we were there for.
00:41:56.340 We were there to get a home run ball.
00:41:58.420 So I thought I had accomplished this great thing.
00:42:01.140 And putting it in his glove meant a lot.
00:42:03.300 And she was just so adamant and loud and yelling and persistent.
00:42:10.540 And I just didn't want to deal with it anymore.
00:42:13.700 You know, there was hundreds of people, you know, just staring.
00:42:18.480 And like I said, she was very, very, very close.
00:42:24.640 And I'm, you know, I'm dad of the family.
00:42:27.580 So I didn't want to do something I'd regret.
00:42:31.320 And that was the choice I made is to just hand the ball back and tell her, go away.
00:42:41.340 Do I even need to say anything?
00:42:43.540 Do I even need to say anything?
00:42:46.520 Look at how dejected this family looks.
00:42:48.720 All of them.
00:42:49.400 From the father to the son to the young daughter.
00:42:52.500 The body language is everything.
00:42:55.540 The body language is a Greek tragedy here.
00:42:59.080 You can actually see the daughter.
00:43:00.280 She's looking down her nose, like the expression.
00:43:02.600 She literally does the expression of looking down her nose at the father.
00:43:08.140 And the son?
00:43:09.780 Son's not excited.
00:43:10.700 Son's not happy.
00:43:11.860 You know, I saw all these people in my, you know, coming at me all weekend saying,
00:43:15.440 oh, but he got a bat.
00:43:16.820 And you mentioned there, well, you got a bat out of it, huh?
00:43:18.640 You got a bat, huh?
00:43:19.540 He doesn't want a participation trophy.
00:43:23.080 He wants the real thing.
00:43:25.380 He wants to win.
00:43:27.400 I saw so many people over the weekend say, oh, Jack.
00:43:29.420 Oh, but Jack, it's just a baseball game.
00:43:31.360 It's just a baseball.
00:43:32.260 It's just an object.
00:43:33.260 Oh, my gosh.
00:43:34.640 Do you really think this is about baseball?
00:43:36.700 This is about the decline of American masculinity that is indelibly linked to the decline of the
00:43:44.260 West.
00:43:44.560 This is why our nations are in collapse, because you handed it over.
00:43:48.560 You weak men with no chests handed everything over to the angry Karens.
00:43:53.940 And weak men make hard times.
00:43:56.640 This is exactly what it's all about.
00:43:59.040 This is not about baseball.
00:44:01.260 This is about knowing that it is important to win.
00:44:05.820 The son didn't want to lose and get a consolation prize.
00:44:08.900 He wanted to win.
00:44:10.060 And he wanted to know that his father was a winner and he wanted to respect his father.
00:44:16.220 And so did the daughter.
00:44:17.460 She absolutely wanted it.
00:44:18.540 You look at your dad for protection.
00:44:19.820 You look for your dad for strength.
00:44:21.000 You look for your dad to be your rock.
00:44:24.440 I'll tell you one thing.
00:44:26.540 I've been to a lot of baseball games with my dad.
00:44:29.380 I never seen my dad hand a ball away to someone who's screaming at him, nor would he ever,
00:44:35.240 absolutely ever give a ball away like that.
00:44:38.180 It's just not done.
00:44:41.940 And it's real simple.
00:44:43.520 It's about winning.
00:44:45.500 It's about giving something to your son.
00:44:49.680 It's about teaching him that lesson.
00:44:51.660 It's about being a role model and standing up for what's right in the world.
00:44:56.440 That's what it's about.
00:44:58.380 Never, ever submit or surrender in front of your children in a situation like this.
00:45:06.040 What lesson is he teaching his son?
00:45:07.300 And also, by the way, what lesson is he teaching his daughter?
00:45:11.720 He's teaching his daughter that the Karen's going to win.
00:45:14.160 So if you want to win, just go be a Karen.
00:45:16.680 He's teaching his son that his son says it.
00:45:19.400 That's where it's heartbreaking.
00:45:21.080 He's teaching the son that winning isn't even an option.
00:45:26.680 Right?
00:45:26.960 Whatever happened, it used to be the part of the American spirit was failure is not an option.
00:45:31.320 Failure is not an option.
00:45:33.520 Winning is not an option?
00:45:34.900 What do you mean winning is not an option?
00:45:35.960 He says it.
00:45:36.360 We can't win.
00:45:37.700 She was going to get it anyway.
00:45:39.680 She was going to get it anyway.
00:45:42.460 And you can see his spirit crushed in that.
00:45:46.840 So this is my message to all the dads out there.
00:45:52.300 You got to step up.
00:45:54.040 You just got to step up.
00:45:56.180 When they're screaming in your face, when they're jabbing their bony little finger,
00:46:00.420 just say no.
00:46:03.420 Just say no.
00:46:05.040 Sit down.
00:46:05.780 Turn, as Christ said, turn the other cheek, but stand your ground.
00:46:13.780 A lot of people get that wrong.
00:46:15.880 Christ didn't say submit or surrender.
00:46:18.260 Christ said turn the other cheek, as in don't back down.
00:46:23.040 Stand your ground.
00:46:24.960 Of course, Christ doesn't teach about submission.
00:46:28.740 If that were true, why are there Christian martyrs, by the way, in the early church, full
00:46:31.660 of Christian martyrs?
00:46:32.380 There were so many Christian martyrs in the early church who refused to submit or cower or
00:46:37.200 surrender to the Romans, right?
00:46:40.140 That there were so many feast days for them that had to be turned into All Saints Day because
00:46:44.920 there were just too many martyrs because they kept getting killed because they refused to
00:46:48.120 submit.
00:46:48.360 Jesus didn't teach submission.
00:46:50.320 He didn't teach you to be a weakling, to be a coward, to be a soy boy.
00:46:54.700 No.
00:46:55.480 No.
00:46:56.280 Stand up.
00:46:57.640 Say no.
00:46:58.940 Say, excuse me, ma'am.
00:47:00.920 That ball is my son's.
00:47:03.580 Today is his birthday.
00:47:05.180 He's not giving it up.
00:47:06.540 And we're not giving it up.
00:47:08.300 So you can go back to your seat.
00:47:09.900 You can sit down.
00:47:11.260 Why don't you go put up a few more yard signs?
00:47:13.060 I'm sure you got plenty already.
00:47:15.280 Go grab a beer, whatever you want.
00:47:18.360 You're not getting that ball.
00:47:19.960 You're not getting it.
00:47:21.040 And it's as simple as that.
00:47:23.780 It's not about this one man and this one boy and this one family, but it's a teachable
00:47:29.540 moment because it is about the millions of times throughout our society where these interactions
00:47:36.300 take place on a daily basis.
00:47:38.860 And men submit because they say, oh, just didn't want to deal with it anymore.
00:47:44.700 Just didn't want to deal with it anymore.
00:47:46.140 Well, at what point are men going to step up?
00:47:49.720 When your little girls are being stabbed to death for riding a train in Charlotte?
00:47:54.960 At that point, are you going to step up and say no more?
00:47:58.480 Or maybe, maybe you just say no from the very start.
00:48:04.180 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.
00:48:07.200 Thank you.
00:48:11.840 I'll see you next time.
00:48:15.900 Bye.
00:48:16.480 Bye.
00:48:17.080 Bye.
00:48:17.900 Bye.
00:48:18.060 Bye-bye.
00:48:26.040 Bye.
00:48:26.260 Bye.
00:48:27.360 Bye.
00:48:27.960 Bye.
00:48:28.240 Bye.
00:48:28.760 Bye.
00:48:28.820 Bye.
00:48:28.940 Bye.
00:48:28.960 Bye.
00:48:29.420 Ciao.
00:48:29.500 Bye.
00:48:30.740 Bye.
00:48:31.120 Bye.
00:48:31.260 Bye.
00:48:31.860 Bye.
00:48:32.120 Bye.
00:48:32.640 Bye.
00:48:33.480 Bye.
00:48:33.620 Bye.
00:48:34.120 Bye.
00:48:34.860 Bye.
00:48:35.400 Bye.
00:48:35.680 Bye.
00:48:36.340 Bye.
