00:01:13.060 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily powered by Turning Point USA. Today's top stories.

00:01:18.500 The Uyghur skier who lit the Olympic torch in the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics has disappeared following her less than sterling showing on her recent ski outing. We're going to talk about this. 0.99

00:01:32.300 Next, the Canadian government is cracking down on the peaceful trucker protests.

00:01:36.760 Third, leftists get Joe Rogan to delete over 100 podcasts from Spotify.

00:01:43.580 And finally, President Biden's first year in office saw 73 police officers killed, the most, since 1995.

00:01:51.200 All this more ahead, Human Events Daily.

00:02:03.540 Well, of course, as the CCP is hosting their Olympics this year, they've been given it, and it is the coronation ceremony for Xi Jinping.

00:02:11.880 I remember hearing people saying, oh, we're going to expose this, and it's not going to happen, and you'll see there'll be boycotts, and we're going to really hold China accountable, we're going to hold the CCP accountable.

00:02:23.980 But none of it happened. And none of it's going to happen. Why? Because of money. Because of money and power.

00:02:31.220 However, the politicians of the West have been bought off. This is elite merger. All right? Elite merger with the CCP.

00:02:40.740 They do not care. Oh, sure, they might be up there, and they're going to talk a big talk about this.

00:02:45.280 Or you get people like H.R. McMaster out there, the general, saying, we need to confront China on the South China Sea.

00:02:51.060 Meanwhile, he sits, literally sits on the board of directors of Zoom. All right?

00:02:55.660 Understand, folks, you're being conned. Don't fall for it.

00:03:00.000 So, of course, we know what they're doing, the Uyghurs, and I've talked about this before, because they're trying to build infrastructure across Xinjiang into Pakistan to be able to get that oil out of Iran, up through the Gulf, up through Pakistan, and then overland through Xinjiang province from the One Belt, One Road to fuel their growth around the world and fuel their growth in East China. 0.99

00:03:21.240 Well, the issue, though, is all these Uyghurs are in the way. So what do you do? They lock them up. They're locking them all up. 1.00

00:03:28.260 But, of course, what did the CCP come back and do? Xi Jinping came out, and even I didn't predict this in my Newsweek piece.

00:03:34.180 Got to give him credit. I didn't actually predict he would be this absolutely ruthless. Huge slap in the face to the West.

00:03:40.760 He chose a Uyghur athlete to go and carry the torch for the final moments of the Beijing Olympics ceremony. Take a look.

00:03:51.240 Well, there's just been one problem with that, and what is it? Oh, the Uyghur skier has disappeared after finishing 43rd out of 65 in her ski games.

00:04:21.300 Why would they do this? I thought that Xi was supposed to be the new face of Xinjiang, the new face of the Uyghurs, 0.99

00:04:27.900 but it turns out that Dinajir Ilamujang finished 43rd in her cross-country ski-a-thon Olympic debut.

00:04:34.020 The 20-year-old is one of six athletes from Altai Prefecture in northern Xinjiang.

00:04:39.260 After finishing, she vanished from the spotlight and escaped a pool of journalists. 0.93

00:04:44.800 This, of course, is after she lit the flame in China's propaganda attempt to deflect some of the guilty claims of genocide.

00:04:50.760 So where did she go? This is exactly like what happened with Peng Shui.

00:04:55.000 Now, you notice that Peng Shui has come out today and has been doing this whole forced confession where she says,

00:05:02.960 Oh, it was just a big misunderstanding. I didn't mean to claim that a CCP official had raped me.

00:05:08.680 You know, you guys took that out of context early.

00:05:11.560 But then if you actually look at the picture for Peng Shui, and she's in this hotel room, right?

00:05:17.420 She's standing next to a mirror.

00:05:19.100 And if you look in the mirror, you can actually see the CCP handler who's standing right there looking at her, right?

00:05:26.520 The camera caught it in the mirror, looking at her, arms crossed, making sure that everything she says is above board.

00:05:34.540 And everything she says is in full support of the party.

00:05:38.060 Are you paying attention yet?

00:05:41.540 Dissidents or people who don't fit with the program or people who are just become problematic for whatever reason, whisked away, whisked directly away.

00:05:51.900 And of course, we shouldn't be surprised from this.

00:05:53.560 Again, we're dealing with a CCP regime, the same regime that has taken their authoritarian measures, right?

00:06:00.960 And have infected the United States and the West writ large. 0.84

00:06:04.800 We're going to talk in a minute about how you're seeing authoritarian measures now be used in Canada against peaceful truckers.

00:06:11.760 Where do you think that brand of authoritarianism came from?

00:06:15.460 We were told in the West that opening up to China would make China more democratic.

00:06:21.040 It'd make them more liberal.

00:06:22.260 It'd make them fall in love with our shared values.

00:06:25.840 They keep saying that, shared values.

00:06:27.360 Like we share values with communists, right?

00:06:29.820 I don't share values with communists.

00:06:31.940 Do you share values with communists?

00:06:33.280 No.

00:06:33.980 They're communists.

00:06:35.280 And what are they going to spread?

00:06:36.720 They're going to spread the idea that if a government says, oh, there's a national emergency.

00:06:41.780 Well, if there's a national emergency, then we have to do something about this.

00:06:44.680 And so you'll get people like Dr. Anthony Fauci, who were never elected to anything, who can have power and total control over you, over your life, over your children's lives,

00:06:56.900 over your family's lives, even whether or not you can go across a border to a country that's right next door, like the U.S. and Canada.

00:07:04.880 And if you're a trucker, that means you can't go across the border.

00:07:07.780 Understand what point in the movie we're in.

00:07:09.760 Well, Canada's crackdown on the trucker uprising has begun.

00:07:18.080 Yes, Justin Trudeau's allies are about to begin cracking down on the truckers, just like a Castro. 0.76

00:07:26.140 Funny how that works.

00:07:27.560 What's going on, actually?

00:07:29.140 The Ottawa mayor has declared a state of emergency to deal with the trucking blockade.

00:07:33.940 This is out of Reuters.

00:07:34.720 Ottawa mayor Jim Watson on Sunday declared a state of emergency to help deal with an unprecedented 10-day occupation

00:07:42.080 of by protesting trucks that has shut down much of the core Canadian capital.

00:07:47.080 This reflects the serious danger and threat to the safety and security of residents posed by ongoing demonstrations

00:07:54.180 and highlights the need for support from other jurisdictions and levels of government.

00:08:00.400 Yeah, that's the Ottawa mayor, Jim Watson.

00:08:02.720 Listen, I think we see what's going on here.

00:08:05.540 In the middle of night, and because there were reporters who were out there and actually caught this on tape,

00:08:11.280 the mayor ordered the police to go in and start not confiscating or arresting anybody or ticketing people.

00:08:20.020 And there were some tickets obviously given, but they confiscated the fuel supplies that people had brought in

00:08:26.540 because they didn't want fuel and propane tanks to be given to them that they were using to stay warm during winter.

00:08:34.820 They took the supplies away and they sent in riot squads to do it.

00:08:39.000 Take a look.

00:08:39.440 God, help that you could just switch sides and recognize what's going on.

00:08:45.260 People, think about what's happening in this country.

00:08:48.180 Sir, look at me in the eye.

00:08:50.000 Look at me in the eye.

00:08:50.980 You're little ones.

00:08:52.100 You need to be protected.

00:08:53.680 God, open your eyes, sir.

00:08:55.700 Look at me.

00:08:57.120 Look at me.

00:08:57.760 Look at me.

00:08:58.740 Stand up for your freedom, sir.

00:09:00.960 Stand up for your freedom, sir.

00:09:03.100 Stand up for your freedom.

00:09:04.520 Stand on the right side of your life.

00:09:06.740 How does your mom feel about you?

00:09:08.620 They're also threatening to arrest anyone who provides material support to the trucker protests.

00:09:17.200 So explain to me how that works.

00:09:19.180 It's a protest, which is a lawful activity.

00:09:22.380 It's not a legal activity.

00:09:24.000 But when you declare a state of emergency under COVID-19, suddenly the government grants itself new powers.

00:09:30.920 And the government gives itself the ability and the authority to declare anything that you do to be an illegal act.

00:09:39.080 And then they say, oh, now we do have the authority to go and do this because there's a pandemic.

00:09:43.700 You get it?

00:09:44.740 They won't let it go.

00:09:47.440 And they won't let you protest.

00:09:48.760 They never did this.

00:09:50.360 Throughout all the marches in 2020, Black Lives Matter, the rioting, the looting, the arson, never saw it. 0.80

00:09:57.580 You never saw this done.

00:10:00.200 And yet now they're going to go in.

00:10:01.340 They're going to say, look, I was in Chaz 2020 in the summer, in June of 2020.

00:10:06.240 They didn't go in and confiscate anything.

00:10:08.080 They allowed it to happen.

00:10:09.540 The police stood down.

00:10:10.920 They were ordered to stand down by former Mayor Jenny Durkin.

00:10:13.460 And there's a reason that she's a former mayor now. 0.61

00:10:16.280 They allowed them to stand down.

00:10:18.420 The people came in.

00:10:20.260 They brought weapons with them.

00:10:22.460 They brought arms.

00:10:23.840 They brought rifles.

00:10:25.180 And they killed people.

00:10:27.020 They murdered people in the street in Chaz. 0.82

00:10:30.780 You don't see that with the truckers.

00:10:32.700 The truckers are up there dancing.

00:10:34.920 They have bounce houses for the children.

00:10:37.800 All right?

00:10:38.420 This is Canada we're talking about here, right?

00:10:40.920 These are Canadians.

00:10:42.020 These aren't exactly the most confrontational people.

00:10:43.900 They're known as being the nicest people in the face of the world.

00:10:47.100 So that's why we say, when you know that Canadians are protesting, obviously, things have gotten out of control.

00:10:54.960 But, of course, that's not all that's going on up there.

00:10:57.300 Because we just found out that the man who was charged in a Winnipeg car attack, an SUV, drove into the protest, striking people.

00:11:08.060 The driver of that SUV has now been identified.

00:11:11.260 What was his name?

00:11:11.960 David Zagarek, who has a history as an Antifa anarchist.

00:11:17.380 So you understand, the media and Trudeau's allies have been all week saying racist, violent, violent, racist, violent, racist, violent, racist, violent, racist about the truckers.

00:11:32.040 You know, my parents were actually talking to somebody that they know who, you know, isn't really a big news person.

00:11:37.860 But maybe, you know, when they do watch the news, it's either MSNBC or CNN or NPR driving the car, didn't even know about the truckers, didn't know any of it even existed, and was shocked to find out this was happening.

00:11:52.580 So when the media, the mainstream media talks about the truckers, it's to smear them.

00:11:58.520 But most of the time, they don't talk about them at all.

00:12:00.780 But who's actually committing violence?

00:12:02.860 Oh, it turns out that it's a member of Antifa again.

00:12:07.720 Are you seeing the government declare a state of emergency to go after Antifa cells?

00:12:11.320 This is somebody who's taken into custody.

00:12:13.980 A longtime activist with the extremist group, Antifa.

00:12:18.900 The front man, he's involved with a number of different groups.

00:12:24.380 The Apple Cart Collective is the name of one of these groups, as well as, you know, performing shows for Antifa events.

00:12:32.340 And speaking out against insane calls for violence, complete calls for violence.

00:12:39.920 That's who they stand for.

00:12:41.260 The truckers just want freedom.

00:12:43.500 And they just want to be able to do their jobs.

00:12:44.900 I'll tell you something right now.

00:12:46.600 I would much rather live in a country controlled by truckers and farmers than I would in a country that's controlled by journalists and academics.

00:12:56.860 We need one.

00:12:58.220 We don't need the other.

00:12:59.180 Explain to me why exactly we need journalists.

00:13:02.720 What is the point?

00:13:04.020 What purpose do they serve in a world where we have social media like this?

00:13:07.760 Woo.

00:13:08.440 That's supposed to be asking those questions.

00:13:09.780 So a massive saga played out over the last weekend regarding freedom of speech.

00:13:18.420 And at its epicenter was the Joe Rogan podcast.

00:13:21.880 And the Joe Rogan podcast has really become something that we haven't seen before in this country in a long time.

00:13:28.740 Right.

00:13:28.840 Maybe Howard Stern in the 90s, right, or even early 90s could kind of be considered something like this.

00:13:35.440 But Joe Rogan's podcast has become a cultural touchstone, a mile point, a place where people can say, we'll listen to this and view it as a forum.

00:13:49.420 More of a forum than someone who is, you know, for one side or the other.

00:13:53.360 And I think Rogan, you know, and I say this as somebody who, you know, just sees it from the outside.

00:13:57.460 It looks to me that he runs his ship.

00:14:00.300 He runs that forum as a place where people can come from either side and be fairly heard out.

00:14:05.500 And that seems to be what he's driving for.

00:14:07.420 Remember, well, the left, of course, hates this.

00:14:11.300 Corporate America, of course, also hates this.

00:14:13.680 Why?

00:14:14.160 Because they are in bed with one another.

00:14:16.020 Remember, the point is not what you say.

00:14:18.680 The point is your compliance.

00:14:21.080 They don't want your apology.

00:14:22.540 They want your groveling.

00:14:24.280 They want you to know that they are above and you are below, that you do not get to make your own decisions.

00:14:30.500 Your decisions are made for you.

00:14:32.260 And that if you say or do anything that goes outside the line, you call it within the lines, right?

00:14:37.980 But if you go outside those lines, you get reined back in.

00:14:41.520 Well, now they're trying to cancel Joe Rogan.

00:14:43.380 They're pulling up this old clip where apparently in the context of quoting others, he used the N-word.

00:14:53.120 But, of course, when Joe Biden does that, President Biden, nobody cares.

00:14:56.560 In fact, my own tweet of President Biden when he was Senator Biden dropping the N-bomb got a Twitter warning label attached to it.

00:15:05.400 But none of the videos of Joe Rogan got a Twitter warning label attached to him.

00:15:10.800 It's not hypocrisy.

00:15:12.620 It's hierarchy above and below.

00:15:15.780 How many times do I have to keep saying this?

00:15:17.440 It's not left, right.

00:15:18.620 It's up, down.

00:15:20.080 There is one set of standards for them and there's one set of standards for everybody else.

00:15:24.980 And until you understand that, until you understand there is a two-track system in the West right now, one for the authoritarian ruling class, one for everybody else, you will not understand what's going on.

00:15:39.420 This is not about left versus right anymore.

00:15:41.700 It's liberal, conservative.

00:15:42.980 No.

00:15:43.980 It's about the people with power and the people who don't have power.

00:15:47.700 Now, here's Joe Rogan.

00:15:48.860 He made a response to this video.

00:15:50.800 Never use it to be racist because I'm not racist. 0.97

00:15:55.400 But whenever you're in a situation where you have to say, I'm not racist, you've f***ed up. 0.95

00:16:03.040 And I clearly have f***ed up. 0.66

00:16:06.520 And that's my intention to express myself in this video, to say, there's nothing I can do to take that back. 0.82

00:16:14.780 I wish I could.

00:16:16.240 Obviously, that's not possible.

00:16:17.640 I do hope that, if anything, that this can be a teachable moment.

00:16:23.280 Now, as a result of this, Spotify has gone in and deleted over 100 episodes of the Joe Rogan Experience, back episodes.

00:16:31.560 Some of them were people who were even saying there weren't even racial slurs on them.

00:16:34.600 What's going on?

00:16:35.200 They've deleted episodes in the past when he's had conservatives on.

00:16:38.660 But Rumble just came out.

00:16:40.160 So Rumble, which I love, I think is an incredible platform.

00:16:43.520 Chris Pavlovsky is the guy who's heading that thing.

00:16:45.340 They're moving down to Florida right now, all free speech.

00:16:48.680 They just came out this morning and made a fantastic offer.

00:16:52.060 They said, Rogan, you come to us.

00:16:54.200 If you come to Rumble, we'll give you a $100 payday.

00:16:59.120 So we'll buy out your contract from Spotify.

00:17:02.400 You can walk away from them.

00:17:03.660 And then no more censorship, no more rules, no more restrictions, no more cancellations.

00:17:09.760 We have the infrastructure now.

00:17:11.300 We have the parallel economies.

00:17:12.360 And this is why I've told you that we need to construct parallel economies.

00:17:17.060 And by the way, Rumble is not some conservative bastion, right?

00:17:20.640 They've got Glenn Greenwald.

00:17:21.960 They've got Tulsi on there, right?

00:17:23.640 You've got plenty of people.

00:17:24.680 I think Jimmy Dore does a show on there as well.

00:17:26.420 So you've got plenty of people that are from the left or the left of the aisle.

00:17:30.080 But again, it's not about left or right anymore.

00:17:32.660 It's about up and down.

00:17:34.360 And so people who don't want to play off of the sheet of music that's being handed to them

00:17:38.860 by the regime authoritarians.

00:17:42.780 And you notice that's actually been the story, right, throughout the whole show today so far.

00:17:46.840 The first one, authoritarianism, CCP.

00:17:49.280 The second one, authoritarianism, Trudeau's allies cracking down like a Castro on peaceful protesters.

00:17:54.540 And the third one, authoritarians again, Joe Rogan getting shut down by Spotify.

00:18:01.240 Over 100 episodes, 300 hours of content, gone.

00:18:07.200 Just gone.

00:18:09.620 I think it's time for a Gen X uprising. 1.00

00:18:12.860 It's absolutely time and it needs to happen right now.

00:18:14.780 Totally new and improved.

00:18:19.320 The brand new MyPillow.com has been updated.

00:18:22.200 I encourage you to go to MyPillow.com backslash Poso.

00:18:24.780 You can find all the latest deals up there, all the flash sales.

00:18:28.500 This thing does get updated on the regular.

00:18:30.460 So go and check out with the flash sales.

00:18:32.100 I think the last time I checked, the flash sales that were up were for the pillows and for the sheets.

00:18:36.540 And then also for the towel set, six pack of towels that you get for that.

00:18:40.540 Obviously, with promo code Poso, you're going to get huge savings.

00:18:44.080 You know, this winter has been crazy.

00:18:45.680 This week in D.C., finally, we're getting a little bit of a respite.

00:18:48.740 But I know to prepare before it happens, not after it happens.

00:18:53.580 And that's why I go to MyPillow.com backslash Poso.

00:18:56.160 I use promo code Poso.

00:18:57.080 I use it myself, by the way.

00:18:58.400 We use it for our family when we go to order stuff because we know that every little bit helps.

00:19:03.040 It goes to American workers. 0.58

00:19:04.340 And by the way, you know that when something's being shipped to you, it's being shipped by one of the truckers.

00:19:10.000 MyPillow.com.

00:19:10.720 Horrific story out of the New York Post.

00:19:12.940 Biden's first year in office saw 73 police officers killed.

00:19:18.020 The most deaths since 1995.

00:19:21.400 The Clinton administration.

00:19:22.240 The Biden administration has seen the most police deaths since the Clinton administration.

00:19:27.160 More cops killed in the line of duty during President Biden's first year of office

00:19:31.620 than any other year since 1995.

00:19:34.520 73 officers.

00:19:36.200 And by the way, this is intentional killings.

00:19:38.800 We're talking about murders.

00:19:40.680 73 officers intentionally killed in the line of duty.

00:19:43.920 A nearly 59% increase over 2020 when 46 cops were murdered.

00:19:50.220 Suddenly, FBI's database and officers killed in action.

00:19:53.780 Now, this is from Jason Johnson.

00:19:55.160 The president of Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund says,

00:19:58.340 We believe it's a combination of the George Floyd protests and riots

00:20:01.820 and a general feeling of preference for less law enforcement and less prosecution and less policing.

00:20:08.360 Law enforcement officers have essentially been marginalized and demoralized and cast aside

00:20:13.300 and encouraged now to enforce the law.

00:20:15.760 And we've seen massive jumps in the homicide rates in cities across America.

00:20:20.060 This is obvious to anyone who's been paying attention.

00:20:21.800 As I say on this show again and again and again,

00:20:24.280 Get out of cities.

00:20:25.440 Get out of cities.

00:20:27.740 We see what's coming.

00:20:29.420 We see what's happening all around us.

00:20:31.200 Open your eyes.

00:20:33.140 It's not conservatives that are going into the inner city and killing each other

00:20:37.400 and attacking and murdering police officers.

00:20:41.600 Okay? 0.65

00:20:43.380 This needs to stop.

00:20:44.500 But until it does, until this does all come to a stop,

00:20:47.980 our cities are becoming unlivable.

00:20:50.200 Do not be there.

00:20:51.900 Don't spend time there.

00:20:52.960 And certainly don't bring your families there.

00:20:55.660 But go listen.

00:20:57.140 Go listen to President Biden when he was candidate Biden discuss on the campaign trail

00:21:01.660 just how much he cares about our nation's police officers.

00:21:04.800 When your husband goes on a call that in fact is a 911 call,

00:21:09.080 it's better if he or she has with them a psychologist or psychiatrist with them.

00:21:14.020 Someone who knows how to deal with someone who is not all there.

00:21:18.320 And so there's a lot of things we should be doing.

00:21:20.960 In addition to that, I also am proposing that we spend significantly more money on community policing.

00:21:28.020 The reason at work, my son used to be an attorney general in the state of Delaware.

00:21:32.240 So show me one iota of actual feeling, empathy from this White House about the police officers being gunned down on their watch.

00:21:43.360 These guys who played footsies with the defund the police movement.

00:21:46.460 Listen, we knew it was going to happen.

00:21:48.980 We told you this would happen.

00:21:51.320 And now it's come to pass.

00:21:53.420 Look, just get out of cities.

00:21:56.100 The people there have voted for the situations that they're in.

00:21:59.660 The people there want their cities to collapse or they want to pursue these insane lunatic policies.

00:22:05.160 So if they want to bring the Bolsheviks in, if they want to let the criminals out of jail, then let them. 0.95

00:22:11.800 But don't be a part of it.

00:22:14.820 And that is it.

00:22:15.600 That's all the time we have for today.

00:22:40.180 But before we go, it's time for today's history break.

00:22:43.480 Today, February 7th, 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed the executive order broadening the United States restrictions and placed the embargo on Cuba.

00:22:54.060 Why? Because the Soviet Union had placed missile structures and ballistic missiles on the island of Cuba in our own backyard. 0.66

00:23:03.360 And we were threatened by this existentially.

00:23:05.640 We then cut them out.

00:23:07.160 This is our hemisphere, and we should be the ones who run it.

00:23:11.180 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.
